The long-running Canadian TV series You Can't Do That on Television ran 1979 through 1990.
Americans of a certain age supposedly love it.

"Sure All That gets the most praises for sketch comedy, but wheres the love and appreciation for You Can't Do That on Television (despite being an import from Canada) and Roundhouse?"

There are people nowadays that hate how in movies like "Love Actually" and "The Devil Wears Prada" some women were considered fat when they weren't (as well as female celebrities in the 2000's and 90's called fat when they weren't)...
But during the 80's, there was the Nickelodeon show "You Can't Do That On Television" that had sketches where Moose (pictured) and Lisa were bullied for being fat when they weren't, although maybe that's one of the reasons why the show has its name.

1962.
Rich Little's early comedy record made him famous in Canada.
My Fellow Canadians was a parody of Canadian politicians written and performed with Les Lye, who later became known as Barf on You Can't Do That on Television.

I used to watch "You Can't Do That on Television" (1979) as a kid and they used to have an arcade.. "Blip's Arkaid" in it that always had shoddy games that ripped off the kids...
I'd like to have the sign from it as a light up sign for the Kama Arcade.. haha.. Here's a screenshot and an edit that I worked on a bit today.

I was today years old when I discovered that Roger Price, the creator of the UK sci-fi classic series The Tomorrow People also created You Can’t Do That on Television for Canadian TV (google it)!
Talk about a small world!
