First of all congratulations for 1000 followers 🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉 it’s honestly amazing and you deserve all the best❤️❤️❤️ also happy new year 🎆🎆🎆 secondly, all the prompts are super good it, I had such a hard time choosing from them cause they that are all amazing, anyway I think 19, 20 and 21 just fit together perfectly for an angsty Azriel fic.
Broken Vows
Pairing: Azriel x f!reader
A/N: thank you so much anon, you're the sweetest! <33 And happy new year one month too late oopsie 🤭
Prompts: "I trusted you." + "Don't leave me now. Please. I still need you." + "Baby, please, just look at me."
Warnings: Az is not the best partner here (I promise he didn't cheat)
Word count: 1.3k
It must be a dream. A nightmare.
Whatever was happening, it wasn't real. It couldn't be. You refused to believe it.
Azriel was still talking, but you weren't listening anymore. His words blurred together in your mind, yet his first few sentences remained sharp, playing over and over in your head.
I've found my mate.
You had never been the jealous type, so it hadn't bothered you when he began spending more and more time with Madja’s new apprentice. It had started as small talk after her visits and you usually lingered too. Talya seemed nice enough—quiet and reserved yet friendly.
You hadn't questioned it when Azriel started visiting the apothecary for even the slightest headache. But then those visits became too frequent. He went there even when both of you felt perfectly fine.
You should have realized something was off when Azriel became distant. The signs had been there. You had just been too blind to see them.
But the problem wasn't that he had found his mate, was it?
I want to be with her.
A few simple words, and the whole world collapsed around you.
“Baby, please, just look at me.” His voice finally cut through your thoughts. “I know this is hard to hear, but let me—”
“You promised,” you interrupted him. Your eyes met his from where he sat at the other end of the couch.
“Baby…” he began, but you cut him off again.
“You promised,” you repeated, your voice rising as tears pricked your eyes. “You promised!”
Guilt flashed across Azriel's face, and he at least had the decency to remain silent as you pressed on.
“You said you'd reject your mate for me, Az,” you blurted out. Hot, angry tears rolled down your cheeks, but you barely noticed. “It was in your wedding vows, for gods’ sake!”
Azriel shook his head. “It's not that simple. I don't—”
“Isn't it?” you interrupted again. “Because it seems simple enough to me. You just reject the bond, like I did.”
His expression immediately hardened. “I don't want to reject the bond. If you would only let—”
“Why wouldn't you want to reject it?” you demanded.
“Because she's my mate!”
“And I'm your wife!”
For a moment, you just glared at each other. His shadows swarmed nervously around his wings, but then his shoulders slumped and his expression softened slightly.
“Can you let me explain?” he asked, studying you. “Please.”
With a sigh, you wiped your cheeks before crossing your arms over your chest. You simply looked at him, waiting.
“I don't want to lose you, baby,” he said softly.
“I don't see how that is going—”
Azriel stopped you mid-sentence. “Let me finish? Please?”
You rolled your eyes but gestured for him to continue. Listening to him was the last thing you wanted right now, but maybe he was going to surprise you. Maybe he was going to say it was all just a joke, a prank, and you'd be mad, but it would be fine.
You were grasping at straws, and you knew it.
“I still want to be with you,” Azriel said. He shot you a sharp look when you opened your mouth, and you sank back against the couch to let him continue. “But I also want to explore this bond with her.”
You scoffed. “So what? You think you can have both of us?” You shook your head, something vicious twisting in your gut. “That's not going to work, Azriel.”
You rose from your seat to head upstairs. You needed time to think, to figure out what to do. If you stayed, you would only get angrier. You had already cried and had no desire to do it again. But if you left, maybe you could spare yourself the fury.
Though the pain—the ache in your heart—could not be avoided, no matter what you did.
“Talya said that she understands the situation and she'd be willing to—”
You froze on the spot. Azriel must have realized he'd said the wrong thing because he didn't finish the sentence. His eyes dropped to your clenched fists as you turned back to face him.
Your restraint was gone. You wouldn't hold back now.
“You talked to her before you talked to me?” you seethed.
“Well, I…” Azriel seemed to be grasping for words. “She's my mate,” he repeated, as if that was explanation enough.
“And I'm your wife!” You threw your hands up. “I have been for the last two centuries!”
“I'm sorry, baby, but I—”
“Don't you ‘baby’ me, Azriel!”
He lowered his gaze, but you were too upset to care about the hurt look in his eyes. It was nowhere close to the heartache he was causing you.
“You know why I never worried about you finding your mate?” you asked. He looked up at you, but even if he had planned on saying something, you didn't give him time. “Because you promised you'd choose me. You promised you would reject the bond. And I believed it, believed you. I trusted you.”
You were well aware of what rejecting a mating bond felt like, how difficult it could be to deal with. Even without feelings involved, even knowing that you and your mate wouldn't have been a good match, it had still taken you two weeks to feel whole again. But Azriel had been there, filling the empty spot where your bond had been with his love.
You had never regretted your choice. You never had a reason to.
“And now I find out that not only did you spend time with her knowing she was your mate,” you went on, “but that you also want to be with her?”
Azriel’s voice was firm, edged with frustration. “I told you I want to be with you too, didn’t I?”
“Mother above, Azriel,” you snapped. “You think that makes me feel better? I trusted you, but you didn't even try.”
You had fought before. After two hundred years together, arguments were inevitable. But you usually talked it out and reconciled after a few hours—a day at worst. Maybe that was why Azriel didn't look particularly concerned.
Until you slipped the wedding band off your finger and tossed it onto the couch beside him.
His eyes widened in shock, and his usually restless shadows stilled behind him. You both stared at the ring, the silence stretching as your anger faded, leaving behind only a broken heart.
“You can't have your cake and eat it too, Az,” you finally said, your voice calmer now, resigned.
You turned on your heel again.
“I'm leaving,” you announced, already walking toward the stairs. You could go stay with your parents. They would welcome you without pressing for an explanation.
Azriel snapped out of his stupor and stood, reaching for you.
“Don’t leave me now. Please. I still need you.” His fingers closed around your wrist. “I still love you.”
You yanked your arm free, but didn't turn to face him. You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him as you bit out, “You should have loved me enough not to pursue your mate. You promised.”
He tried to stop you again, his shadows swirling around your legs as if to keep you from walking away from their master.
“Baby, that's not—”
You turned back one last time. Tears lined your eyes and your voice broke on the words. “I should have been enough, Azriel.”
You didn't wait to hear his response. You didn't try to go upstairs to pack some clothes.
Unable to stomach his presence any longer, you winnowed away.
a/n: technically, this is the end. I wanted to leave it open and hanging, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that I am a sucker for happy endings so I might write a part 2 bc I already have an idea :))

CONTOUR LINES (18+)
Mingyu x artstudent!Femreader
Summary: You’ve finally broken up with your boyfriend Mingyu. Ignoring him has been hard, but you were finally at peace. But he had other plans, as he shows up to the figure drawing class you T.A…. And as the model.
Warnings: Unexplained breakup (im lazy lol), angst, cute fluff sometimes, art school stress, public nudity, public unprotected penetrative sex (no one is around though!), quickie
a/n: this was a idea i got while messing around with my friend who has a thing for mingyu, lol.
Word count: uhhh, around 7k ? I can’t remember 😅
————————
Another miss call.
Great, you thought, the tenth missed call from your ex boyfriend Mingyu this week.
It’s been about a month since you broke up with your ex, Kim Mingyu. It was an odd pairing in the first place. You met him coincidentally in the quad the beginning of the year, as you sat at the edge of the school fountain. Your sketchbook open, as you drew the scenery and people around you. A normal activity you did as an arts student.
You were clearly in the zone, drawing the fold in a random college student’s arm, before a voice interrupted your thoughts.
“Whoa, you can draw.”
Your eyes snap up, seeing a towering figure, completely blocking your view. No shit, you thought.
“Yeah, I guess.” You say plainly, hoping your short answer would deter this guy. But then the sunlight is back on the page you’re drawing, and you feel his warm presence sit right next to you. Maybe he’s just sitting down to sit down, so you try and finish your life drawing of the current student, but they were gone. Probably going to their next class.
Huffing, you still for a moment to put your pencil down.
“I wish I could draw like that,” You hear, as you glance to your side. Furrowing your eyebrows in irritation as the man leans over to stare directly into your sketchbook. “You’re a really good drawer.” He says in awe.
“Yeah, uh, thanks.” You say curtly, as he continues to stare at your sketches like he’s at a museum. These sketches were nothing compared to a Degas or something, yet he stared at them like it was, his brown eyes flickering around in interest.
He clears his throat, as he looks up to meet your eyes. He smiles, a toothy one where you notice how sharp his canines were. Cute.
He pulls his sleeve up from his wrist to his elbow, holding his large hand out, “Mingyu. Kim Mingyu.” He says, introducing himself. You nod, reluctantly shaking his hand, his grip tight and strong.
“Y/n.” You say back shortly, eyeing him, wondering how long this tall man was going to bother you.
He lets go of your hand, as he adjusts his position to turn more towards you. One leg over the other, leaning forward. His bangs falling so perfectly across his eyebrow, that it made you narrow your eyes. It’s crazy, people like this seriously exist huh?
“Do you do art or something?” No shit.
You nod, “Yeah, I’m a fine arts major.” You respond, giving him a strained polite smile. It felt like you had to, the way this guy has been beaming at you like a puppy as you give the driest replies.
He grins, “Whoa, no way. Thats cool,” He praises, “I’m—“
The rest of the meet cute didn’t matter.
After this, you kept bumping into him, coincidence you thought at first, but thinking back… he had no reason to be near the art school area of the campus.
He always asked to see your sketchbook, or whatever was in your portfolio folder as you tried to get to your studio. Even helping you carry your supplies and folders inside, and once he learned where you worked he came with iced coffee when he could.
At 3 am, he’d lay on the floor of your messy studio, watching you as you mix another color on your palette. Your sweatshirt pushed to your elbows, paint on your hands and face as you work on the gigantic canvas for your final.
“You don’t have to be here, you know,” You say a bit softly, your eyes tired despite your multiple energy drinks. “It must be boring to watch me throw paint for the last few hours.”
He shakes his head, sitting up as he looks at you with his puppy like eyes. “No, I like it. You’re so focused…” He trails, “I didn’t think art would be this hard.”
You glare at him for that remark, making him immediately tread back. His mouth gaping open and closing like a fish, “Ah! Not like that it’s easy — just that you’re so passionate you know?” He explains, throwing his hands around.
Rolling your eyes, you put your brush back into the muddy cup of water. “Why? Engineering not doing it for you?” You ask lazily, as you pull your claw clip out of your hair. Massaging your scalp from the tension.
Mingyu’s eyes focused on you, his cheeks slightly flushing. Eyes roving over how strands of your hair effortlessly frame your face. He clears his throat, “Uh, no. I like it. I’ve always been good at studying, and I get the material so,” He says, as he scratches his head.
“But I guess, it’s different watching you. Your eyes are different when you’re drawing, painting, sculpting. Whatever.” He says quietly.
“Different?” You muse, standing up to stretch your legs. Mingyu following instinctively, his tall frame dwarfing you.
He nods, “Mhm, yeah. I thought art was just a major for people who didn’t want to do anything, but getting to know you…” he says, as he follows you to your studio table. As you open the most recent energy drink you got from the vending machine. “You just don’t stop. Like you’re meant to do it.” He breathes.
His genuine words make you raise an eyebrow, turning to him. You give him a small smile, making his heart rate jump. “Yeah? It’s like you, I think.” You say, taking a sip of that battery acid of a drink. “I’ve just been doing this since forever. Natural to keep going.” You say nonchalantly, but Mingyu looks at you like you’re a living genius.
“Thats whats so cool,” He gushes, “You’re just made to do this.” He says, as he glances at your current work in progress. A large canvas with pleasing colors, his eye being drawn to the right areas. The beautifully rendered figure, framed with all the right strokes.
He looks back at you, with such an adoration you think it’s hallucinations from doing so many allnighters.
“Ah,” he starts, as he moves his long legs to shuffle through his bag, pulling out some tupperware. “I forgot, I was making uh, some dinner earlier and I had leftovers.” He lies, knowing full well he made it for you. He turns around, opening the tupperware to reveal a lunch box of different side dishes and protein. It could rival any meal inspo on pinterest, as he even carefully cut out seaweed to make cute faces.
You snicker, making Mingyu’s cheeks pink. “Leftovers huh?” You say, as you grab the lunchbox from him. Your fingers brushing over his, a welcome warmth from the cold air conditioning of the studio. “Thanks, I appreciate it. I was just gonna make some ramen.”
“Yeah no problem,” He strains, smiling. “You need energy to keep on going right? At least eat well if you’re gonna sacrifice your sleep.”
You take a bite, and even though it was cold, you nod in approval at the taste. The annoyingly large man could cook. Your reaction makes Mingyu grin, as you can see shamelessly how much that did to his ego.
“Still, you should go you know?” You say, as you remember Mingyu talking about his week a few days ago as you painted. “Don’t you have an exam tomorrow?”
Oh? He doesn’t focus on the fact that you’re asking him to go. Only that you remembered his schedule. He grins, “You remembered huh?”
You roll your eyes, “Of course I did. You told me.” You say, your own cheeks reddening from how embarrassed you felt from Mingyu’s reaction. Why was he so excited?
He shakes his head, “It’s fine, I was reviewing earlier. It’s in the afternoon anyways.”
You finish the lunchbox, washing it down with your energy drink before going to pick up a new large paint brush. “Fine by me then,” you sigh, not bothering to argue with him. It was weird the first time he accompanied you on an allnighter, but Mingyu’s presence became a normal occurrence since then.
And there he was, sitting obediently like a dog next to you as you continued painting. Your playlist ending hours ago, as the only sounds are the strokes of your brush, and the breathing of both of you.
It was like this for a while, until near the end of the year. This time, you were running out of steam.
Maybe it was all the all nighters the whole year, or the fact you got sick right before finals, but you were stuck in your studio once more. Slaving away as you work on your third painting of the night, trying to get your exhibition finished before sunlight.
You hear the sound of the door opening. He had his own key now — you copied one at one point since he always was knocking. Mingyu coming in with late night take out in one hand, clad in grey sweatpants and a hoodie, ready to tackle the night with you.
You don’t even bother looking behind you, his familiar presence and cologne already telling you who it is. “Hey,” He says softly, putting the food down as he notices your tired state. It was like you were running on fumes, the amount of empty redbulls and monsters around your studio telling him all he needed to know.
You grunt, “Yeah, hey.” You say tiredly, as you wipe your face with the back of your hand. Paint smearing on your cheek. Mingyu comes over with a napkin from the takeout container, huffing as he wipes your cheek with it.
“Whens the last time you took a break?” He asks, a bit worried. Despite hanging out with you for so long, he wouldn’t say he knew anything about art. But he knew you. And the way your wrist movements against the canvas were sluggish, and the way your eyebrows furrowed as the strokes didn’t land and look the way you wanted… he knew you were at your limit.
“Doesn’t matter, I have another painting after this.” You say roughly, “Fuck, I’m such an idiot. I should have painted when I was sick. At least worked on the concepts and colors so I didn’t have to figure it out right now.” You rant, sucking your bottom lip into your teeth.
Mingyu frowns, “No, y/n. What about a fifteen minute break? I got burgers, it’ll help.” He says, but your face isn’t budging, like the strict deadlines for the paintings.
You curse, “God, Mingyu, I can’t stop. All the fucking pieces look like shit, if I stall any longer I’ll never finish this ass of an exhibition.” You say shakily, as you haphazardly throw your brush into the water cup, the muddy water splashing out. You grab another brush to pick up a new color.
He looks around the 10 other pieces littered around the room drying, he doesn’t get it, and he never would. They all looked great, cohesive despite your protests. “Y/n, they look great. You gotta take a break you know? Maybe it’ll help. Maybe your eyes will like, reset or something. You’ve been looking at this painting for hours.” He says, trying to reason.
You don’t listen, as you flick your wrist harshly to create a quick line of color.
clack!
You wince, dropping your brush to clatter on the floor. Your wrist acting up at the worst time, as you curse under your breath. Mingyu’s hands go up instinctively to hold your wrist, holding it still.
“God, now my wrist is flaring up too. Great, just what I need!” You curse bitterly, your head down.
Mingyu holds your wrist gently, despite your angry state you don’t push him away as he gingerly inspects your wrist. “Hey, come on. Lets take a break, and then we can wrap your hand alright?” He says softly, trying to coax you.
He leans down to see your hidden face, and it breaks his heart. Hot tears welling in your eyes from stress, frustration, and the impending deadline.
He doesn’t think twice, leaning down to hold you into an embrace, pulling you off your stool into his arms. Tight, the tips of your shoes barely grazing the floor. You can’t help but cry into his shoulder, “God, why am I so bad? I can’t show anyone any of this,” You sob, as Mingyu rubs your back. His grip tightening around you, holding you close as you basically collapse into his arms.
“Hey, y/n, you’ve just been working too long. Lets take a break alright? It’ll look better once you rest your eyes a bit, I promise.” He coos, “I’ve got some burgers and sweet potato fries, even convinced them to give me extra —“
“Mingyu, why are you always here?” You ask bluntly, choking back your tears. Through the whole year you’ve been tolerating him getting closer. First, random conversations when you bumped into each other on campus, then visiting the art school, coming to your studio, staying to keep you company. You never once tried to push him away, but you didn’t understand how he hasn’t been turned off yet. Your all nighters, your insecurities, the way you reject his invitations to campus parties and events to work. It was all a mystery, especially as you crash out in his arms, over some acrylic and oil on canvas. This must look pathetic to him.
His eyes are a bit panicked at the question, “I uh, do you not want me to be?” He asks reluctantly, still holding you close.
You sniff, your hand against his chest, gripping the fabric of his hoodie into your fist.
“No, I just... Thank you.” You say quietly into his chest, and Mingyu felt his head spin. You could definitely hear it, he thought, the way his heart was pounding out his chest. How you relied on him, telling him to stay. If it wasn’t for the fact you were leaning on him to stay up, he’d probably melt into a puddle on the floor.
Mingyu takes you to the table, helping you sit down on one of the comfier chairs. A foldable one with a pillow he brought at one point, so he could watch you comfortably. He boasted once — y/n look! Found this by the dumpster!
You let out a deep sigh as you sit down, Mingyu bending down to his knees to look at you eye level. A hand to your cheek as you close your eyes tiredly. “Hey, you okay?” He asks, searching your face.
You nod, “Yeah, um, sorry,” You sigh, “I’m just — I’m just stressed. I didn’t mean to have a breakdown in front of you.” You say apologetically, embarrassed by it. But he shakes his head, not affected by it. In fact, it probably caused him to fall harder, seeing how hard you work.
“Don’t apologize,” He says, pushing strands of your hair back. You look up at him, straight into his brown eyes. The way he looks at you so fondly, worried, that his bottom lip juts out slightly as he observes you. The way his fingers felt along your cheek, how he’s warmed you up in the cold room, brought takeout for you.
Fuck, how his hair is tousled under the hood, and the fact his face was a sight for sore eyes after looking at your paintings all day. Something with actual 3d planes staring at you, instead of flat canvas. Maybe it was the all nighters, the fact you’re on multiple energy drinks on an empty stomach, or that Mingyu is there for you.
You lean forward, shutting your eyes shut as you push your lips against his.
It’s warm, soft… might even get lost in it if—
You pull back after a second, as you see Mingyu’s wide eyes.
Oh fuck, did you read this wrong? Shit, at least you can blame it on lack of sleep—
A pair of lips crash into yours again, this time, you part yours as Mingyu’s warm lips mold into yours. Its warm, and comforting and everything nice, as you grab his collar to pull him closer. Making him stumble forward as he holds onto the edge of the chair to steady himself close to you.
You let out a soft breath as Mingyu snakes his free hand around to the small or your back, pushing you close as possible to him. Mingyu compensating for your lack of energy with his, as he kisses you deeply, something he’s always wanted to do. Every since he watched you draw random people at that campus fountain.
He pulls back as you pathetically try to chase his lips, as he kisses you chastely before speaking. “Y/n,” He breathes, “Fuck, you don’t know how long I wanted to do that.” He confesses, as he holds your face in his large hands.
You smile softly, “Mingyu, I—“
The box of charcoals clatter, as you accidentally drop it right next to the table of supplies. Sheepishly you bow at the students in class, not meaning to disrupt their focus.
You bend down to pick up the charcoal. What are you doing? It may be the third figure drawing class today, but dropping a box of pencils as you recount your days with Mingyu was horrible. Terrible.
Especially when you boasted to one of your friends as you shared a meal, Ah, Kim Mingyu? Thats over. Lets just focus on grad review.
You sigh, standing back up as you slide the box of art supplies on the table. Checking the time, you slide the notifications of Mingyu’s missed calls away. It was five minutes before class started, where the hell was the model?
And as if on cue, the other T.A. comes skitting towards you, pushing her glasses up as she avoids the boxes of supplies around the room. “Ah, Y/n—“ She starts, talking quietly to not cause alarm.
She stops in front of you, as you furrow your brows. Today the professor wasn’t in. As the consistent T.A., she trusted you to handle today with no substitutes. It wasn’t anything hard. You just helped set up the drawing horses and supplies, adjusted the lights and made sure the models were comfortable. It was easier especially when another T.A. was assigned to assist you today.
“Hm? What?” You ask, as you dust your hands.
She takes a deep breath, “Um, well, the model got food poisoning.” She starts. Leaning in so other students didn’t hear. “I just learned this right now, she’s like in the bathroom in the main hall throwing up like crazy.”
You frown, “What? Is she okay?” You say, straightening up, walking towards the front door grabbing your jacket off one of the stray art horse chairs.
She follows clumsily, “She’s fine! But she can’t model for this class. I know you’re in charge, but I panicked and just called whoever was on the emergency model list.”
You stop, causing the other T.A. to bump into your back, with a little squeak. A small what should have been insignificant memory flooding back.
“You’re TAing now? Seriously?” Mingyu asks lightly, as he fiddles with a loose strand of your sweater, the rough pads of his fingers pulling on it.
You slap his hand away disapprovingly, causing him to pout. “Yeah, just for figure drawing. I want to make a little money anyways, but working at the campus cafe is too time consuming.” You respond, as you continue to draw in your sketchbook. Outlining the foliage in front of you with your pen.
“Hm, what would that mean?” He asks, leaning forward to wrap an arm around your shoulder. Careful not to disturb your drawing, as he rests his chin on your closer shoulder. Watching you draw was his favorite past time nowadays.
“Just like, setting up, taking care of the figure drawing models. Things like that.” You respond absentmindedly.
“Models? Like, thats a job?” He asks, making you crack a smile. You forget how normal people knew nothing about art. You’re just glad he was openminded about basically everything.
You turn to look at him, “Yeah, the school hires people to pose for drawing. Its for studying.” You respond, as you tap your pen against the tip of his nose, where his beloved mole resided. Making him scrunch his nose, the corners of his lips turning up.
“Actually, I should write the emergency contact list. The professor updates every semester of models to contact if theres no shows, and the et cetera. I should just do it now so I don’t forget —“
“Add me on there then.”
You blink.
“Huh, what?” You say confused, looking at him with raised brows.
He straightens up, “You heard me. Add my number to that list. It sounds interesting,” He defends, his tone light.
You shake your head, smiling. “Mingyu, you don’t get it. You have to stand there naked, and do different poses every five to thirty minutes. Its not an easy thing to do.” You say, dismissing his words as nonsense. Sometimes he was too eager to try things just because they existed in your world.
Mingyu doesn’t falter. “Yeah I know. I just, it sounds cool. Also having a bunch of people drawing me, I don’t know… sounds nice. Also its like emergency contact right?” He says shrugging, “It’s not like it’ll actually happen. I know you’d never call me if it was an emergency, but just add me on it. If all models decide they’re not feeling it that day.” He suggests lightly.
You stare at him still in disbelief, narrowing your eyes. He scoffs, leaning forward to lean his forehead against yours as a challenge. A little goofy smile on his face, “What? Come on. Just add me to the list.”
The rational side of you knew this would never actually happen. Mingyu had no qualifications, and besides, there was a dozen other numbers to call before him. So you suck it up, sighing, writing his name down. Just for the sake that he’d shut up about it.
“Okay, fine.”
Your heart beats, eyes wide as you try to calm yourself. You didn’t want to release your anger against this girl for trying to fix the situation. It was your fault, really, in the first place to put his number on there. But this never was something that has happened before.
“Which number picked up?” You ask calmly, clasping your hands together as you focus on not exploding on your fellow T.A.
“Uh, just called the first one. He said he was on campus so he was down, and we only have five minutes till class—“
“Jesus, his name please?”
“Kim Mingyu.”
Oh fuck. Fuuuucckkkkk.
Mouth wide, and panicked eyes, you start to speak, before you hear the opening of the classroom door. You turn, and your face practically goes pale.
There he was — Kim Mingyu, just in a simple coat and pants. His eyes immediately landing on you. Its only been a month, but he cut his hair. Slightly shorter than you remember, as you tilt your head.
Stop it. You have to act normal.
You take a deep breath, trying to act professional. There was no time to question why the hell he’d even pick up and walk all the way here. Or why your heart was beating so fast, just looking at him.
“Um, escort him to the dressing room area.” You start, prying your eyes from Mingyu to the other T.A. “There should be a clean robe there too.” You inform, patting her arm as you beeline straight away from them.
You find a haphazardly stacked amount of newsprint, focusing on making all the edges match as you calm your heart. It’s fine, it really is.
For some reason Mingyu was interested in figure drawing modeling before. Maybe he just wanted to cross that off his bucket list, and had nothing to do with you.
The other T.A. comes back to stand beside you, “Is he comfortable?” You ask.
“Yeah, he’s fine. Just seems a little inexperienced,” She responds, scratching her cheek. “He asked if he had to take all his clothes off, and I was like, huh? Yeah? But other that that—“
“Yeah, alright.” You interrupt dryly. “Thank you. I’ll just take over after this.” You say, as you grab the timer from the table.
You walk towards the center, clearing your throat as the art students look up. “Right, hi. Professor Kang isn’t here today, but don’t mind. Today will be quite an easy day.” You start, crossing your arms.
Your eyes immediately follow to the ruffle of the dressing curtain, as Mingyu walks out in a fluffy robe. Brown eyes meet yours, and for a second you think this will be fine. Until the corners of his lips turn up, into a toothy grin only you knew so well.
That motherfucker. Bucket list my ass, he said yes just to mess with you!
You turn away sharply, focusing back on the class. “The model today is Kim Mingyu.” You say shortly, before stepping off the small platform.
You gesture for Mingyu to walk to the center, your face stone cold as you watch him step onto the platform.
He clears his throat, “Do I take the robe off now?” He asks cluelessly.
Great, just show everyone you have no clue what you’re doing. If this was a few months ago, it’d be cute. But Mingyu standing hopelessly waiting for instructions was annoying you, to say the least.
You nod, and immediately, he undoes his robe and lets it fall to the floor.
You can’t help but stare. Your lips pressed into a thin line, your body tense. Stop stop stop! You couldn’t give him a reaction. As an artist, it was normal to see naked bodies. It wasn’t a sexual thing, especially in figure drawing. But Mingyu wasn’t just an old man or something. He was a conventionally attractive, tall, well built man. In more places than one.
“Oh shit, he’s hot.” The other T.A. whispers to you, covering her mouth. You bite back your embarrassment, as you just send her a glare for her unprofessional reaction.
It doesn’t help that other people around the room are pleasantly surprised by Mingyu, as I see pink dusting around people’s cheeks. It was infuriating, to say the least.
“Holy shit, a hot model. Is this real?”
“I thought we had a middle aged woman today. Bro… score!”
“I’ve never stared so closely.”
“Alright, warm ups. Ten one minute poses.” You say plainly, holding up the timer and pressing down on it. Immediately, Mingyu nods, springing into action.
His poses were something else. They were a bit awkward, as he stood there. First putting his hands on his hips, staring at the ground.
But he started getting more comfortable. After the ten one minute poses were up, the other T.A. Adds a stool to the platform for Mingyu to sit on.
“One pose, 15 minutes.” You say, setting the timer again.
This time instead of looking at the ground, wall, or ceiling, he stared straight at you. His eyes unwavering. The sight makes your mouth go dry, as the studio lights enhance Mingyu’s features perfectly.
His face framed by the little curl of his bang, light bouncing off his tanned skin as the definition of his muscles are on display. The way his large shoulders balance his proportions, and his skin smooth and tightly wrapped around his toned torso. He always was working out, and it seemed like he kept that up, as your eyes trail from his abs to his bottom half. Your cheeks flushing as he’s so unabashedly bare in front of the whole room.
But it only propelled your anger. How could he? Just step into your domain — the art school wing — and just come here? Posing like a gangly weirdo, riding on his looks so none of the students complained. Staring straight into your eyes as a confrontation. So much it felt like he was telepathically speaking to you.
Why aren’t you returning my calls? Or, how does this make you feel? It was infuriating.
And as if satisfied in your attention on him, he smirks, like he won some imaginary battle. This idiot.
The timer rings, making you flinch against the supply table. Your cheeks flush slightly, as you clear your throat. “Another 6 poses, each 2 minutes.” You manage to choke out, pressing the timer.
As the figure session goes on for the next hour, Mingyu’s confidence was starting to irritate you to no end. At first what was awkward, was now overtly dramatic. His poses of showing off his muscles, flexing his back, it was too much. People were here to draw, not ogle.
You decided to play, not wanting Mingyu to have the upper hand. As Mingyu goes to pick up the robe off the ground, you yell, “Stop right there!”
Mingyu freezes immediately, mainly out of confusion. His eyes drifting to you, a slight furrow of his brows.
“Now, the model will stay still. Do you see how the arm connects to the shoulder blades? Please turn to a new paper and start focusing on that area.” You say, stopping Mingyu in an uncomfortable position in the name of education.
You eye how his leg starts to shake from holding it, but it only fuels you. “Now focus on the thigh muscle, we’ll hold this pose for another 3 minutes.” You say, a little glee seeping into your voice.
Mingyu’s eyes shooting up to glare at you, as you cock your head and smile.
You push Mingyu to do crazy things, like pretending to do a lay up for 10 minutes to talk about line of action. Or when you asked the students to move in closer to draw his face, having twenty people at once hyper fixate on his expression. Now, the class was fun. You completely turned it around.
The timer rings. “Alright, lunch break.” You say, as it’s half way through the 6 hour class.
Theres a collective sigh of relief, as students massage their wrists, and Mingyu putting his robe back on, but loosely. Letting his chest peek out through the fabric, as he walks around the room.
You watch as he circles, smiling and complimenting others.
“Wow, thats really good.”
“Whoa, really love how you drew that one.”
“Is that how I look? I’m flattered! Thanks.”
You huff, looking away as you catch a glimpse of him leaning over a pretty girl’s shoulder as she shows her sketches. Purposefully letting the loose robe drape his exposed chest as he examines the drawings.
Students get up to stretch their bones outside, getting lunch during the break. The other T.A. goes to check on something, leaving only you and Mingyu in the figure drawing room.
You stand, ignoring him as you walk towards the platform, readjusting the power of the studio lights. “Next part of the class is long poses,” You say, twisting the knob. “So it’ll be harsh lights. you just have to sit there, it’ll easy.”
You turn back around, Mingyu looking at you with a small smile, barely a yard away. His hands on his hips, as he looks down at you. “You know,” He drawls, his voice low. “This was a lot more fun than I thought.”
“Is it?” You respond bitterly, “Well I’m glad. Because you’re not gonna be paid for this.” You inform him, as Mingyu isn’t a real model signed with the school.
“Thats okay, I’m getting what I wanted anyways.”
You sigh, as you cross your arms. Deciding not to beat around the bush.
“What are you doing here, Mingyu?” You ask tiredly, finally looking at him straight, your brows furrowed. You boldly looking into his playful eyes.
His smug expression softens, almost reminiscent to how he would look at you before everything. He takes his bottom lip under his teeth, chewing as he looks at you.
“You seriously need me to answer that? Like always?” He says quietly, but with only you two in the studio, he could whisper from across the room and you’d still catch it.
“What, like you actually answer me with anything that makes sense?” You respond back tightly. Sighing, you relax your shoulders, biting your cheek as you glance away from him. A student’s messy pencil case catching your attention, albeit forced.
A deafening silence falls. Mingyu never really liked to fight anyways.
“You’re, you’re difficult, you know that?” He starts, as he ruffles his hair with his hand, as if that would release his pent up frustration. “When I got the random phone call that you guys needed a last minute model, I thought for a second it was intentional.”
He takes a step closer, “But of course not. You looked like you saw a ghost when I walked in.”
You gulp, “Well, to be fair, thats what you are now.” You say quietly. Avoiding his eyes.
“Oh? So I’m just dead to you?”
“No, that would be easier.” You snap, finally looking back to face his eyes. Mingyu’s jaw clenched, his eyebrows knitted, trying to figure you out like an abstract art piece.
He swallows, his adam’s apple bobbing as he lets out a disappointed huff. “y/n.” He starts firmly, in a tone he barely used.
But of course, directed to you, making your skin crawl in the overly air conditioned room.
Hands on his hips, as he takes a long breath, his head facing down as he hides his expression. “For an artist, you’re really shit at expressing your feelings.” He sighs, his bangs hiding whatever you could gather from him.
“Fine.” He concludes, looking up, his shoulders more relaxed. “I’ll stop bothering you about it, since you’re so sure.” He says throwing his arms out. “On one condition.”
You furrow your brows in confusion, wary of whatever condition he was gonna propose. Mingyu could be unpredictable when you pushed him, making the hair at the back of your neck stand.
“Draw me.” He says finally. He glances at the clock on the wall, “They still have that lunch break. So just draw me at least once, before everyone comes back.” He proposes, turning around to walk casually to the platform, as if he’s assuming you would just do it.
Is he serious? You weren’t even together anymore, and yet he wants a free commission from you? Thats crazy, like you’d ever —
“Fine.” You say curtly, “Since you’re so desperate for my attention anyways.” You quip, walking over to the supply table, making sure your shoes stomp against the hard floor. You swipe some spare paper, clipboard, and some charcoal.
The second you were at an art horse in front of Mingyu though, your fire waned slightly. The dead silence of the room was deafening, as you adjust your clipboard. The sound of the metal clips thumping against the paper, the feet of the art horse squeaking as you adjust sitting on the worn wood.
When you gaze up at Mingyu, it was obvious. He really was getting what he wanted, and it was your undivided attention.
Once ready, the charcoal in your hand, Mingyu sits down on the stool, eyes steady on you as he grips the already loose tie around his robe with his large hand. Letting it fall, as he exposes himself once more in the bright lights you set up yourself. He kicks the robe away off the platform, set on you drawing him like this.
You blink back any feelings that threaten to show on your face, readjusting the charcoal in your hand as you avoid Mingyu’s eyes, pressing down to finally start a line.
Its been a while since you last drew figures, and it usually took an hour of continuous drawing before you really found your pace in figure drawing sessions. But it was different this time.
Your heart beats in your ears, a silence of the room highlighting the sound of your charcoal smearing against the newsprint — the sounds of your breathing and of Mingyu’s, as time passes. Agonizingly slowly, yet a focus every artist aches for.
Your hand moves accordingly. Outlining the contour of his silhouette, the way his neck slopes, the soft lines that shape his abs he always was working on. Pressing for pressure with your charcoal as you indicate the weight of him sitting on the stool, hands in his laps loose as you capture his likeness with ease.
But the focus doesn’t last for long, especially when you flicker your eyes back to his. Already flicking a stroke to mimic his right eyelid, before you still. Pressing the tip of your charcoal into the paper, crumbling against the grain as you stare into his large brown eyes.
Fuck. What are you even doing?
Why are you drawing him so intently, when you vowed just a while ago that you never wanted to see Mingyu again?
Your breath hitches, as you raise your arm, flickering back to your drawing. Charcoal in the air, swinging to run a huge line through your figure of him, to smear it, to destroy it, to —
Your wrist stops mid air, as you feel a warm grip tightening around you. Eyes wide, you unfocus on the paper, to look up. Somehow in your tiny melt down Mingyu got down from the platform.
He looks down at you, eyebrows furrowed. Jaw tense, “You were just gonna ruin it, weren’t you?” He asks you quietly.
You can’t help but knit your brows, a pained expression forming that matches the one in his eyes.
The charcoal clatters out of your hand, landing on the floor in broken pieces.
Tears start welling in your eyes, your bottom lip trembling. “You’re right,” You start shakily, “I don’t know… how to address anything unless I’m drawing.” You say weakly.
Mingyu’s eyes soften slightly, swallowing hard as the bright lights highlight the contour of throat bobbing. “Yeah, seems like it.” He replies carefully. You expected him to use this as a told you so, maybe give you a smug smile, like, I knew you weren’t over me.
But Mingyu was never like that anyways. No matter how much he craved your attention, he also wanted your peace of mind. A hard thing to ask from an artist like you.
His grip on your wrist softens, as he kneels down, getting eye level with you as you still sit on the art horse. Holding your hand in his, rubbing a thumb over the veins on the back of your hand gently.
“I miss you.” You finally muster, your eyes focused on his.
“I miss you too.” He responds back, before cracking a small smile.
You strain your brows into a furrow, blinking back the warm tears you naturally formed from the vulnerable moment. A shaky huff also coming out of you, as you decide to lean forward.
Inching your face closer, until the tip of your noses brush, Mingyu stiffening slightly as you shyly graze your lips against his lips. A small breath escaping his lips, fanning over yours before you finally part them.
Your lips against his — it was like home. Finding your way back after such a tumultuous and useless road. The warmth of his lips seeping into you, Mingyu as relieved as you are. His hands finding its way to the sides of your face, pulling you impossibly closer.
It only escalates, as you open your mouth wider to push your tongue against his, making Mingyu groan out as he meets you with similar enthusiasm.
He pulls you forward, off the art horse. Taking you down to the ground, maneuvering you until your back is against the hard floor. Covering you with his large frame, his weight pressing down on you in ways you were having such a hard time admitting you missed.
It was fast, and albeit messy and rushed. Like trying to make up for wasted time as you pull him close, hands wrapped around the back of his neck as your lips go numb, your teeth clashing.
You let out a whine, when Mingyu pulls away with a heavy breath, fighting against your attempts to pull him back for a kiss.
“Y/n — fuck, can we?” He asks hurriedly, his voice breathless. A look of want in his big eyes, but there was also a little responsibility.
First of all — anyone could walk into the studio any second. There was only a lunch break, sure, an hour. But at least half of it has passed.
As you take your bottom lip under your teeth, chewing at your swollen lip as you think. And Mingyu knows exactly what look you were giving him, and he wasn’t going to reject you. Not now.
He leans back in, crashing his lips against yours in a sloppy kiss, breath hot against yours, before moving to your jaw. Leaving open mouthed rushed kisses down your neck, as you move your hands down his back. Feeling the muscles you were forcing yourself to look away from during the whole first half of class.
Touching Mingyu was way better than just drawing him from afar. You’re sure on that.
He moves his hand down, to push your midi skirt up, bunching the fabric to your hips. Your legs exposed to the cold air of the studio, as he wastes no time to slide your panties to the side. Already wet and damp from the heavy making out, and partially to the adrenaline of being in such a risky place.
“Damn, already?” He says, with a slight tease to his voice, making you pinch his arm. He lets out a pained chuckle, before placing his thick fingers against yours core, a gasp escaping your lips.
It helped that he knew you so well already, your legs squirming around the sides of him as he runs his fingers through yours wet folds, his thumb circling your clit as he inserts two fingers in, stretching you out as you gasp, Mingyu attacking your neck with messy kisses as he gets you ready for him.
“Fuck, Gyu,” You whine, your eyes rolling back in pleasure as he curls his fingers, hitting the spongy flesh that makes you arch your back off of the floor.
You weren’t the only one worked up, Mingyu being bare this entire time. His dick pressing up against the inner of your thigh, hardening at the sounds of your pleasure.
Your hand shoots down to grab hold of him, helping him get hard as he lets out a moan, as you tighten your grip. Pumping him a few times, lining him up to you as he removes his hand from your entrance.
You both let out soft gasps as you hold his dick to swipe against you, coating him in your arousal, his tip leaking with precum.
He doesn’t even ask, he just knows, as he pushes in, filling you inch by inch. The friction from your pulled to the side panties, to the tight warm walls of your pussy, making him feel lightheaded with pleasure.
“Fuck, you’re so tight baby,” He breathes, without even adjusting, he ruts into you roughly. Bottoming out as he knocks the wind out of you.
A whine escapes your throat, as you hold tightly around his shoulders, as Mingyu doesn’t slow his pace.
Its rough, its fast, and overall — desperate. The lewd sounds of flesh colliding echoing in the empty studio. Your mind going dumb at his fast pace, only focused on how he goes in, out. In, out.
The smell of his sweat, the way your hands run down his exposed body, all for you. He did this all for you. To get your attention, to get you back. God, does he even know how that makes you feel?
“Fuck, fuck,” He whines, burying his face into the crook of your neck. Already feeling a little fatigued from abusing your pussy so fast. But it was just too good, he missed it so much. So, so much. And he made it evident, as he pushes the back of your thighs higher to your chest, getting deep as he can. And fucking you like his life counted on it.
You feel the familiar build up of your orgasm, your walls tightening as you grip Mingyu’s shoulders. “Gyu, Gyu, I’m —“ You manage to choke out, as he moves his face from your neck to yours. Catching your cry with his mouth, drowning it as he kisses you messily.
You shudder, squirming under him as you feel the familiar high. Your body tingling with sensitivity and pleasure, as he overwhelms you with what can only be love.
He follows soon after, not being able to maintain his mouth to yours as he lets out a shaky grunt. Spilling inside you, his cum warm and filling, making your cheeks flush in contentment and relief.
He slows, stilling as you both catch your breaths. Pulling out of you with a reluctance. Pushing himself up, to lean back to sit. You follow as well, adjusting your skirt back as you push yourself up to your elbows.
Mingyu was a sight, as he always is. His tan skin glowing with a layer of sweat. The way his toned chest rises from catching his breath. The way his bangs are sticking to his forehead, his cheeks flushed with a rush of blood. A satisfied look on his face, as he sighs, licking his bottom lip as he looks at you.
You can’t help but smile, a warm one. As you gather yourself.
“Lets get you cleaned up before the second half. Where did you throw your robe?”
“Oh fuck. I don’t know. You got any other ones?”

hey kai!
can you please write a fanfic about dae ho comforting us after a game. (with a one bed trope 👉👈)
btw love ur writing smm!!🎀
EEEE I LOVE THIS REQUEST!!! dae ho is my shayla😭 (TW: Blood, gunshots, talk of death. let me know if there's more i should've added!) This is also for my favourite kang dae-ho stan @lanadelreyworshipperr
Kang Dae-Ho x reader ────୨ৎ──── The gunshots rang from the distance as you covered your ears, your palms pressed tightly against the shell, till all you could hear was a faint ringing. You whimpered quietly as you look at the blood pooled on the floor. How quickly had they cleaned up the bodies? The smell of blood made you gag as you choked out desperate sobs. "I wanna go home..." Your teammates Gi-Hun and Dae-Ho picked you up from the floor as you took in shallow breaths. You couldn't hear anything, not their words, not the other players talking and rushing out to go back to the bunks. No. The only thing you could still hear were bodies thudding the floor and the harsh sounds of the bullets leaving their guns to pierce through the heads of the innocent people. You couldn't breathe. Everything looked blurry for some reason, getting darker and faded. If you hadn't died from losing the game, you'd surely die from this panic attack. You saw Gi-Hun run to go to Jung-Bae and Young-Il, but Dae-Ho stayed with you. You sniffled and tried to recognise the world around you, trying to ground yourself in this terrifying situation but nothing worked. It wasn't until a certain former marine picked you up from the ground, hugging you close and carrying you bridal style back to the beds through the obnoxious amount of stairs. You curled against his chest and sniffled, hearing his heartbeat and coming back to reality just enough to croak out his name to tell him you were fine and awake, "Dae-Ho..." You moved you hand to your face, wiping the remaining tears. Dae-Ho looked at you with kindness shining in his eyes. A kindness people here seemed to have forgotten, "Ah, you're coming back to us. I know it's scary but I'll protect you, ok?" His voice was so soft as he put you down to your bunk. You hadn't even realised you both had reached the bedroom already. You hand was still grasping at the sleeve of his jumpsuit like your life depended on it, and quite frankly, you felt like it did depend on it. You felt yourself slip away when he started to go back. Nobody was really paying and attention at you both and thanks to Gi-Hun, your mattresses were in a perfectly hidden spot. "Dae-Ho, stay with me?" You asked, feeling tears prickle your eyes again, you weren't sleeping yet you could feel the nightmare that would haunt you for multiple nights on end. You also felt pathetic. Everyone here was so strong, even Jun-Hee who was pregnant and here you were. You couldn't go a single game without crying. Dae-Ho's eyes softened and you could swear you saw a fondness in his eyes. Though he quickly hid it. "Of course I will. I promise that no matter what happens in these games, I'll never leave you." He said it with such surety that you two would stick together, it couldn't help but make you optimistic as well. Dae-Ho settled on your mattress besides you and took this opportunity to curl up into him even more, "I feel so dumb." His hands found their way into your hair and gently massaged your scalp. "You're not dumb. Panicking in a scene like this is... normal. I'd be surprised if you weren't. I know I am as well." He joked and you couldn't help but smile as you buried your head in his chest. "It doesn't look like it. You're so brave." You muttered and looked up at Dae-Ho's face, it was rigid for a second before turning back to the soft, smiling face she liked. "Yeah, well, you're my sunshine and you're crying. That doesn't seem right either, does it?" Dae-Ho wiped another tear that had fallen from your eyes and gently pressed his lips against your forehead. You close your eyes, feeling the exhaustion from the day finally bring you down. You fought against your sleep and also blushed at the kiss he had just given you. "Dae-Ho..." "Go to sleep, sunshine." He said and cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing against the soft round skin of your face. You gulped in fear and held him closer. "Only if you stay..." You said and pressed your forehead against Dae-Ho's, breathing in and out, slowly, following the pattern of his breathing.
He smirked and leaned closer, the tip of his nose brushing against the tip of yours, "I'll always stay." He whispered to you like a promise and before you knew, you were drifting to sleep in his arms. ────୨ৎ────

I have a Lupin request where reader has back dimples and Remus hands rest there out of habit
Or maybe like three separate occasions, it happened something like that
Or just a really fluffy one-a shot that maybe it leads into something 🤨 but maybe kind it tv-14
𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬. (𝐫.𝐥𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐧)
remus seems to have an unconscious habit of resting his hand at your lower back. it fits perfectly.
remus lupin x gn!reader | 1.1k | fluff | masterlist.
You never really thought much about your back dimples. They were just there—small, barely noticeable, not something people commented on.
Not something you ever expected to feel self-conscious about or, on the other hand, take pride in.
But then there was Remus.
And suddenly, they were all you could think about.
—
The Gryffindor common room is too loud, filled with the frenzied energy of students cramming for N.E.W.T.s. The library, while quieter, isn’t much better—every available table is occupied by students murmuring spells under their breath, scribbling furiously on parchment, or flipping through textbooks with the kind of desperation that only comes from impending exams.
You manage to find a space at the farthest end of the library, tucked away in a dusty corner where the lamps are dimmer, and the smell of old parchment and ink is stronger.
It’s peaceful here, quieter than the rest of the castle.
You’re halfway through a particularly dull passage in ‘Advanced Defence Against the Dark Arts’ when a familiar voice murmurs near your ear.
“Mind if I sit?”
You glance up to see Remus standing there, looking exhausted but offering you a small, tired smile. His tie is loosened slightly, the sleeves of his jumper pushed up to his elbows, revealing ink-stained fingers.
You nod, shifting your things to make space.
For a while, it’s just the two of you, working in silence. Occasionally, Remus scratches something onto his parchment, his quill moving in quick, deliberate strokes. You try to focus, but it’s difficult.
His presence is calming, but distracting in a way you don’t quite understand.
At some point, you shift in your chair, stretching slightly to ease the stiffness in your spine. It’s then that you feel it—the lightest touch at the small of your back.
You freeze. It’s barely there, just the faintest brush of fingertips against fabric. A fleeting moment.
Before you can turn around, the warmth disappears.
“Sorry,” Remus murmurs, his voice barely above a whisper. His eyes don’t leave his book, and his expression is carefully neutral.
You blink, shaking your head slightly. “It’s fine,”
And it is. Probably just an accident, a brief lapse in awareness. His hands must have drifted when he adjusted his position, or maybe he was reaching for something.
That’s what you tell yourself, at least.
But for the rest of the study session, you can’t stop thinking about it.
—
It’s freezing.
You hadn’t planned on being here, honestly—Quidditch has never been your thing. But James had insisted—“It’s Gryffindor vs. Slytherin, you *have* to come!”—and Lily had promised hot chocolate afterward, so you found yourself bundled up in too many layers, squeezed into the stands alongside your friends.
The match is intense if the way Peter’s shouting is anything to go by, flinching every time a bludger comes too close.
Remus is beside you, watching the game with quiet interest. He isn’t loud like Peter or grinning like Dorcas, but his gaze follows the players carefully, taking in every movement.
You shift slightly, adjusting your scarf around your neck. The cold wind bites at your skin, and you shiver involuntarily.
And then it happens.
One arm slips around your waist—steady, grounding. The other hand finds its place at the small of your back, thumb sliding into that tiny duvet beside your spine.
It’s warm. Even through the layers of your coat and jumper, his touch lingers, seeping into your skin.
You glance at him, but he doesn’t seem to realize what he’s done. His focus is still on the game, his expression unchanged. His thumb moves absently, brushing against the fabric of your jumper in slow, thoughtless circles.
For a moment, you let yourself believe it’s intentional.
But then he seems to catch himself. His hand slips away just as naturally as it had found its place, returning to his lap as if it had never been there at all.
And yet, the warmth stays with you.
—
The fire in the Gryffindor common room crackles low in the hearth, casting a golden glow over the worn furniture and scattered books.
Most students have gone to bed, leaving only a few stragglers, their heads bent over last-minute assignments.
You’re one of them.
Your Charms essay sits half-finished in front of you, but your quill is still, your mind too sluggish to focus. You rub at your tired eyes, exhaling slowly.
You don’t even hear Remus approach until he’s beside you.
“You’re still up?” His voice is soft, amused.
You hum in response, too tired to form proper words.
A quiet chuckle, and then—there it is again.
His hand.
Warm. Steady. Placed so naturally at the small of your back that it feels like it belongs there.
And this time, he doesn’t move away.
Instead, his thumb brushes over the spot in slow, absentminded circles. It’s soothing, grounding. He’s done this before—so many times now that it shouldn’t make your stomach flip the way it does. But it does.
And for the first time, you lean into it.
It’s subtle. Barely noticeable. But you feel the way his fingers press just a bit more firmly in response, the way his breath catches for half a second before he schools his expression.
The fire crackles, and the room is quiet except for the occasional rustle of parchment from across the room.
You turn your head slightly, looking at him through the dim light. “You do that a lot, you know,”
His brows furrow slightly. “Do what?”
You shift just enough to make him aware of where his hand is resting. His lips part slightly, realisation flickering across his face.
“Oh,” he says. And then, more quietly, “I guess I do,”
You could make a joke. You could tease him, brush it off, pretend it’s nothing. But you don’t want to.
Instead, you let yourself lean into him, just a little, and say, “I don’t mind,”
Remus swallows, his fingers flexing against your back. His voice, when he speaks, is softer than before.
“Good,” he murmurs. “Because I don’t think I want to stop,”
You smile. “I was hoping you’d say that,”
And just like that, something shifts. Something small, but important. Something that feels a lot like the beginning of something new.

I peel oranges neatly. The sections come apart cleanly, perfectly in my hands.
***
One day, Ximena buys Jayce a crate of oranges.
She hands it to him one Sunday morning; he still visits every Sunday, makes time early in the morning before the sun has even risen to find his way to the meagre Talis estate and let himself through the front gate and into her warm kitchen, where spiced chocolate is always steaming and waiting for him. She asks him about his work; she asks him about the Council, and about Hextech, and about the forge, and about Viktor and Heimerdinger and the Academy.
He asks her about her garden, and helps her remove and clean and oil the joints of her digital prostheses.
She tuts over a new burn or scrape on his hands--which have never been cared for properly, the skin red and inflamed around the site, a mild infection setting in. She finds the antiseptic and the gauze, withdrawn from the first aid kid mounted next to the kitchen sink, and does her best to clean it, and he indulges her. She is, after all, his mother. He hasn't needed her in a long time, but this is something he can do for her, let her mother him, and it's nice to sit in his childhood home with her fussing over his hand while the mug of chocolate warms his palm, a pleasant soothe against the sharp sting of disinfectant.
This is their weekly morning ritual; it does not typically involve oranges.
(Remaining fic under the cut, or you can read it on Archive of Our Own!)
"I know for a fact," she tells him mildly, digging out a sharp splinter of metal that got lodged at the base of his thumb two nights ago, "that you and that Viktor of yours don't eat nearly enough."
"Ma..." Jayce sighs, shaking his head. His tone is long-suffering, teasingly weary; but he can't say anything more than that, because she is unfortunately, right. There is an icebox in their lab, just a small one, installed in the corner next to the futon he liberated from his old bedroom. It's not wise to argue with Ximena Talis.
She clicks her tongue at him, and the sliver comes out, captured neatly between the precision points of her prostheses--more effective than tweezers. He winces, flexes his hand, and a drop of blood beads on his skin. He'd honestly figured it would work itself out, but she'd spotted it immediately.
"You're so busy, Jayce, I understand this; but you must eat, if only to give that brain of yours the nourishment it needs, hm? Coffee is not enough."
"Okay--but oranges?"
She tears open a small foil packet, withdrawing an antiseptic wipe from inside--a folded piece of damp towel, soaked with solution. She swipes it over the pinprick wound, wiping away the blood. "Your father always kept a crate in the forge," she says, her voice soft and fond. "He was like you--or you are like him. Always working, always moving, never a moment to stop and care for himself. But he liked oranges. The juice for his thirst, the pulp for his stomach, and the sugar for his energy. Convenient; clean." The towelette is set aside. She plucks a small square bandage out of the first aid kit, fitting the adhesive to the skin around the wound. The pale fabric stands out against his darker skin. "I used to come and sit in the forge with him while he worked and peel oranges for him." She laughs, "Useless man. For how fine his smithing was, he never could manage to peel them without smashing them to pulp."
Jaye laughs with her. He doesn't remember his father very well, but the recollection of a toddler brings to mind an enormous bear of a man, with strong, large hands. Maybe larger than they would have been in reality, memory unable to adjust to the passing of time, still remembering a palm and fingers broad enough to encompass the top of his head. It's easy to imagine hands as massive as that trying, and failing, in the delicate operation of removing a peel without damanging the fruit inside.
"Anyways," Ximena continues, folding both her hands over Jayce's one and smiling at him. Crow's feet wrinkle at the corners of her eyes; deep lines form from her nose to the corners of her mouth, etched by the years. "They were on sale. Take them with you and keep them in your lab. Then I will worry less, hm?"
"All right," Jayce agrees, laying his other hand on top of hers and squeezing gently. She is his mother; far be it from him to reject this expression of her love. At worst, they will turn green and fuzzy and end up in next week's trash. At best--a juicy segment of orange now and again does sound nice, against the dry acrid metallic taste of the lab's stagnant air. The bid for time doesn't go unnoticed, though, and he lingers a little longer with his mother today, seeing the gift as emblematic of her maternal worry, and doing what he can to assuage it.
She seems less sad when he leaves, the crate of oranges cradled in his arms. It is early enough still that he thinks he will reach the lab before Viktor does (unless his partner has stayed working through the night; he does that, sometimes, but if that's the case, Jayce was never going to beat him there). The aroma of citrus oil wafts into his nose the entire way to the Academy.
***
Of course they don't have fresh citrus in the Undercity.
It's not like Viktor doesn't know what they are, when he arrives at the lab later that morning (Jayce is pleased at the hour; it means Viktor likely got some real sleep the night before, and even if it was just because he was too exhausted from too many sleepness nights to fight it back any longer--a win is a win). His eyes land on the crate as he hooks his stool with his cane, pulling it over to him; he pauses, as it caught off guard.
"What...are those?"
"...Oranges?"
VIktor sighs impatiently, waving a hand at Jayce as though he's swatting at an insect nuisance. "Yes, I know what oranges are, Jayce. Why are they here?"
"Oh! My mother--a gift. She thought having some fresh fruit in the lab might encourage us to eat better."
Viktor's face shifts into a thoughtful moue, lips pulling down and eyebrows lifting as he considers, shrugs. He settles into his stool and sets the cane aside, leaning against the worktop. Jayce resists needling, asking if Viktor has had breakfast. He'll go for the oranges on his own time. It's irrational to think Ximena would somehow know, or sense, if her gift of care had been rejected. The two men settle into their work--Viktor pulling over an opened notebook and setting his pencil to the page, presumably picking up where he left off in navigating the complex mathematical proofs that have been occupying his mind, Jayce sliding his goggles down over his eyes as he turns his attention to soldering together a number of small components that, he hopes, will one day be capable of housing and conducting energy from a Hexstone. They work in a comfortable silence.
It's a couple of hours later, that Jayce--intent on his work, goggles magnifying the connections in the metal in front of him and by extension blocking out everything else in his surroundings--hears a pained hiss, followed by Viktor's huff of frustration. His back complains as he straightens--how did he end up slouched so far over--and he turns to look at Viktor. The magnification restricts his range of vision, and so it is that he sees--in extensive detail--Viktor's fingers digging like claws into the pitted skin of an orange. His index is buried in the fruit to the first knuckle; there is juice spattering the back of his hand. Hurriedly, he pushes the goggles up off of his eyes, and its in time to see the irritated embarrassment before Viktor wips it from his expression.
"...Doing okay there, Viktor?"
"No, Jayce," comes the exasperated reply. "I have citric acid in my nail bed, and this--impossible fruit refuses to come apart for me. And now my notes are covered in orange juice!"
Wordlessly, Jayce holds out a hand for the orange. Viktor drops it into his palm with another irritated eye roll, withdrawing his finger with a wet popping sound. His face twists in disgust, and he shoves his stool away from the workbench, grabbing up his cane so he can cross to where they keep the cleaning rags. Jayce listens to the retreating tapping of his cane as he considers the orange in his hands.
There are pale grooves in the skin, the pitted surface not quite scraped clean of zest, where Viktor clearly had tried to peel it; scratching at the tough exterior with blunted, chewed-off nails, obviously to no avail. He rotates it in his hands, unable to keep the bemused expression from his face as he notes the evidence of all of Viktor's attempts, culminating, finally, in a singular frustrated stab through the peel and into the flesh beneath.
"Viktor," he calls out, as he fits his own index finger into the wound and pulls, gently, teasing the pith away from the segments as the peel comes away, "what did the orange do to you?"
He hears the tapping of the cane as Viktor comes back to the workbench. He pauses next to Jayce's shoulder, watching as Jayce strips the flesh of its rind in large chunks, tugging away reluctant bits of the pith that refuse to come away cleanly. "Nothing," comes the reply. Jayce glances up at his face, then away; there's a faint tinge of pink to his cheeks, as Jayce peels the fruit with ease. "I just--didn't know the trick of it."
Which is how Jayce learns that, indeed, there are no oranges in the Undercity. And Viktor, for all that he lives in Piltover and has advantages he never could have enjoyed at home, is still staunchly loyal to the Undercity; he tends not to indulge in luxuries that are denied his compatriots. So he never had them at home; and never bothered to seek them out up here.
It's not the first time Jayce has unexpectedly run up against Viktor's rigid internal moral code, manifesting in unexpected ways in how he lives his life as a transplant from disadvantage to relative privilege. Privately, he adds this to his own list of grievances, which grows every time he learns some new angle as to how badly Piltover keeps the Undercity ground below its genteel boot.
He finishes peeling the orange for Viktor, setting the fruit on the pile of discarded rind, and shows him how to tease apart the segments so that they separate cleanly in his hands. Points out where the seeds can sometimes live, so that Viktor won't crack his teeth biting down on one. Viktor nods to him, offering a crooked little half smile, and turns back to his work, wiping away the splatters of orange juice on his notebook pages before turning over to a fresh one. Jayce waits, and watches for a moment, but Viktor seems uninterested in pursuing the fruit any further. Still--it's a good reminder to himself, as well, so he reaches out to snag his own orange from the box, rolling it along the countertop to loosen the peel before quickly stripping it down.
The taste bursts sweet across his tongue. Of course Piltover won't export oranges to the Undercity. They can't have Zaunites developing a taste for sunlight.
***
Viktor's hands are deft and skilled. Jayce knows this; has seen the evidence of his work, his elegant script in their shared notebooks, the fine detail work on the pieces and components of their creations. He has a light touch, deliberate and confident, and more than once Jayce has gotten distracted watching Viktor work. He compares Viktor's hands to his own, often; he knows his broad palms and thick fingers speak of strength, but Viktor's are no more delicate than his own, for all that they are lighter and more nimble. The both bear collections of small wounds; Viktor's nailbeds are often torn and shredded, red and inflamed at the corners where he nibbles off his hangnails and teases at flaps of loose cuticle.
And maybe that's the reason why--the remembered sting of citrus in an open wound making him shy of it--but despite his very adept hands, Viktor seems absolutely useless at peeling oranges. His nails, chewed bluntly down to the quick, can't pierce the skin; no matter how Jayce tries to help, showing him tricks of rolling the orange across a surface or digging in to the navel where it once hung from the branch, Viktor inevitably tears holes into the delicate flesh, juice squirting out in all directions as he craters into the skin. He tries, once, to bite through it with his teeth; Jayce can't help but laugh at the disgusted expression his face shifts into when the bitter oil lands on his tongue and gums.
He doesn't think Ximena would quite approve of the way in which they devour the crate of oranges between them, especially as it makes the need for trips out of the lab to the cafeteria or to the food carts on the streets outside less and less necessary; their diet dwindles down to primarily oranges, for 8 to 12 hours out of the day, when they remember to eat at all, both of them appreicative of the chance to fulfill their bodies' needs without having to get up from their work stations at all. But they're healthy, and its better than not eating anything at all, Jayce thinks--which has often been the case for Viktor, at least, unwilling to abandon his train of thought for even an hour to satisfy his body's demand for nourishment. And for all that trying to peel them frustrates the hell out of his partner, Viktor seems to have developed a taste for them.
Eventually, Viktor stops even trying. He'll reach for an orange and roll it about mindlessly on the table top for a few minutes as he thinks, or ponders a particularly challenging runic equation. He'll roll one of them back and forth between his palms as he stands at the chalkboard, eyes raking over their scrawled notes and diagrams. And sometimes, he simply grabs an orange out of their dwindling supply, and plops it next to Jayce's elbow without a word. In all cases, the wordless request is there; and every time, Jayce takes up the orange, peels it, and sets it back on Viktor's side of the table. Often--not always, but often enough--he'll get a quick smile from Viktor, a duck of his head in thanks, before he goes back to whatever he was working on or talking about.
Sometimes, he pushes the orange back to Jayce's side, and Jayce realizes that he has not in fact eaten yet that day.
Sometimes, when they get stuck, Viktor pushes his rolling stool a few more feet away. They bandy ideas back and forth, hypotheses and refutations, as they toss an orange to and fro across the lab; a break from the monotony, the bright scent of citrus oil sinking into their palms, waking up their tired minds, until one or the other has a sudden brainwave and they can get back to work.
Sometimes, in the time it takes for Jayce to peel the fruit, Viktor's mind has already moved on to something else; and the orange sits, bare and shining, skin slowly drying out in the staticky, dehumidified air of the lab. Jayce takes a certain kind of glee in pulling off a segment when this happens and waiting for an opportune moment--usually while Viktor is expounding on his latest theory, or ripping into one of Jayce's--to pop the orange into his mouth, interrupting him for a brief moment. Viktor's expression is always a delight--first the irate response to having food shoved in his mouth, but then, usually, a look of resigned bliss as he bites down, filling his mouth with a burst of flavour and brightness, and inevitably holding out his hand for the rest of his orange as he continues.
***
When Jayce visits his mother the next week, she doesn't seem surprised when he tells her, a bit sheepishly, that they've already worked through most of the crate. He tells her about peeling oranges for Viktor; he relays the series of misfortunes that Viktor has encountered, watching a soft smile spread, unconsciously, over her features. It makes him feel warm; he stumbles over the rest of his words, finishing the story lamely, but she doesn't say anything about it. Her hand rests over her heart, over the locket she wears around her neck. He doesn't know what her expression is saying.
She walks with him to work that day, forcing a detour to the produce market, where she insists on buying another crate and placing it in his arms. "You boys need to eat," she says, "and a mother worries. Oranges are better than a diet of coffee."
Its not until he kisses her cheek at the entrance to the Academy grounds and bids her a good day, tells her he loves her, that he realizes how similar his orange-story must sound to her own memories, peeling oranges for his father in the forge.
***
"More oranges, Jayce--!" is Viktor's exclamation when Jayce arrives, grimacing a little as he walks into the lab. The market detour made him later than usual. He thinks if he had gotten here first, Viktor probably wouldn't have even noticed the supply replenish, but it's hard to obscure an entire crate of fruit in ones arms.
"It's my mother," he explains, sheepish. "She is convinced we don't eat enough, and now that she knows we've been going through the oranges at a breakneck pace..." He shrugs, and sets the crate on the countertop. He tips the last few oranges from the week before on top, and tosses the empty rigid-paper crate in the direction of the door.
Viktor squints at him. "You are just enjoying my torment. You enjoy mocking me. 'Ah, poor Viktor, he is so incompetent he cannot even peel a fruit.'" The way his tongue rolls on fruit sounds like music to Jayce's ears; he can't help but laugh a little at it, which just causes Viktor's playful scowl to deepen further. "'I must continue to ply him with citrus, to keep him humble, in the hopes that he forgets that I am incompetent in everything but the peeling of oranges."
Jayce has already pulled out two oranges to approximate a breakfast for them both. He peels one in a long, continuous spiral while Viktor continues on his "tirade", plopping it down in one open palm as the gesticulations--a habit of Viktor's whenever he sets out to mock Jayce, exagerrating his admittedly expansive hand movements--come to a pause. Viktor looks down at the orange, then back up at Jayce, who grins, shrugs, and pops an orange segment into his own mouth. "You done?" he asks. "Because I can take that back, if you don't want it." Viktor's fingers curl around the globe, settling into the slight divots between the segments, cleaned of pith as best as Jayce can manage. "Mmm. That's what I thought." He turns away from Viktor, and pulls over a tray holding a pile of metal discs and a handheld grinder.
"Ridiculous man," he hears Viktor mutter; then again, the consonants shaped this time around a mouthful of orange, "absolutely ridiculous." It sounds affectionate, and pleased, and warm; like the sunshine in the orange is beaming out from Viktor's lips, washing over Jayce like a warm summer morning. Jayce shoves the remaining quarter of his own orange into his mouth, cheek bulging out as he chews, and begins notching gears.
***
It's not as though they only eat oranges. Jayce is well aware of his body's needs, to maintain his physical ability in the forge, to retain his muscle definition and physique; he takes pride in his body, he won't be ashamed of it. And, too, he is hyper aware of the needs ot Viktor's body; as it rebels against him, as it deteriorates, the need to eat a balanced diet and intake all of the essential macronutrients for survival becomes ever more present. Viktor doesn't thank him for the fuss, but Jayce keeps a careful tally of everything Viktor eats, to his knowledge, and tries to force himself out of his hyperfocused headspace when it's necessary to ensure they are both getting what their bodies need.
They still take short walks--shorter, now, than they used to be, and Jayce knows that Viktor knows even if he doesn't comment on it--to some of their favourite places, when the need to consume something that is not either coffee or an orange becomes strong enough to pull them away from the lab. When they have a breakthrough, they celebrate at a restaurant, rewarding themselves with a socially acceptable dinner (instead of digging into the work with even more fervour than before).
But every week, Ximena buys a new crate of oranges, and Jayce brings it in to the lab. The space constantly smells of citrus, now--it's a clean, bright, fresh scent, combating the metals and oils and the ozone-copper tang of magic that suffuses their working space. Jayce feels more awake when he walks in each morning, the sharpness hitting his olfactory senses and sending a signal to his brain that makes him alert and attentive. He thinks it is having an impact on Viktor, too--his mood noticeably lightens, his sharp edges of frustration growing a little fuzzier, a little softer, whenever Jayce hands him a freshly peeled orange to combat an ornery mood. He starts collecting the peels, tipping handfuls of them into the jar of vinegar they keep for cleaning their work surfaces. The orange oil infuses into the sharp, acrid vinegar, balancing out the harsh scents with something bright and warm.
And Jayce's hands--they smell like oranges all the time, the scent of it lingering in the bits of zest caught under his nails, the oils worked into his skin. He is surrounded by it; he closes his eyes and feels sun-warmed, comfortable, memories of walking through orange groves flitting through his mind's eye. It's comforting in a way that feels strange until he makes the connection--his mother, peeling oranges for his father in the forge, then coming to gather him up from his minder with orange oil on her own skin. It awakens something in his subconscious, a feeling of home and safety and family, and he realizes--
It's a scent he's started to associate with Viktor, too.
Which doesn't quite make sense--after all, Viktor doesn't peel the oranges, isn't getting his hands and fingernails sticky with orange juice, doesn't have to pry clumps of rind from under his nails when he goes home every day. It makes Jayce a little sad, to realize that this smell he associates so strongly now with Viktor and with their lab might solely be from his perspective. That maybe Viktor doesn't smell of oranges at all. That they haven't left their mark on him the same way as they leave their mark on Jayce.
How many oranges, he wonders, does a person need to eat per day before the essence starts to bleed through their skin; before their cells are infused, like the vinegar in the jar, before that brightness is lent out to their fingertips and palms? If he breathed Viktor in, would he smell of sun-bright citrus, warm and energizing, waking up Jayce's senses?
If he kissed him, would he taste oranges on his breath?
The grinder slips, scoring a rough scrape along his finger, and he bites back a yelp as he is brought forcibly back down to earth from wherever his thoughts have been wandering. Viktor's head shoots up from where he has been working on screwing together the framework for a calibrator, eyes wide and alarmed. Their gazes meet, and Jayce feels a flush creep over his cheeks.
Where did that thought come from?
***
Ximena tuts over the scrape, spanning along the side of his finger nearly from the mound of his knuckle all the way to the tip. The antiseptic solution stings, entering his skin and contacting his nerves through what must be hundreds of tiny nicks, each grain of the rough sandpaper abrading away a tiny piece of his skin.
There is another crate of oranges sitting on the counter, waiting for him to take it to the lab with him when he leaves.
He wants to ask her a question; but he doesn't know how to put it into words. About peeling oranges. About infusion. About how long something can sit in solution with something else before they become inseparable, orange oil in vinegar. It's a silly urge; he is the scientist, after all, these are things he should know, but its less about the combination of molecules than it is about something...more. Something he has no experience with, but which he knows she does; knows it in the way he thinks back to that conversation about peeling oranges, the expression on her face when she spoke about care, her hand resting over the locket, over her heart, the way his foggy memories of both his parents sharpen whenever he first splits an orange peel with his thumbnail and feels that fine mist spray into the air.
He doesn't ask her anything about that, doesn't say anything at all as she tends to his hand, wraps it up with thing gauze to prevent infection. "You're quiet today, caro," she remarks when she's done. He offers her an apologetic smile.
"Sorry. Thinking through a hypothesis. I'm fairly certain I know the answer, but...I'm having trouble testing it."
She tidies away the first aid supplies, taking them back to their place. Jayce cradles his hand, still stinging, against his chest. When she returns to the kitchen table, she's carrying a small plate with half a dozen golden-brown muffins. Their tops are dotted with gleaming jewels of candied peel, and large crystals of sugar, and curls of pale yellow zest.
"Maybe you're not asking the right question, then," she suggests. "Or maybe your heads addled from too many oranges, and not enough of anything else. Are you actually managing to eat a balanced diet? Or did I condemn my son to a lifetime of nutritional deficiency?"
Jayce has to laugh, as he takes a muffin at her urging. "Well, at least you know I won't die of scurvy," he jokes back as he tears off a bite. Her comment sends him back, to long hours bent over schoolwork; the frustration of trying to sort through scientific procedure, of having to rein in his instinct and enthusiasm for something testable and repeatable, experimental design.
The muffin is sweet and warm, a little bitter from the copious amount of zest inside. He groans his appreciation, and she answers it with a beatific smile. "These are so damn good, Ma," he tells her. She swats his arm for swearing. "Can I take one with me? For Viktor?"
She looks at him, and he swallows as the weight of her regard falls on him. There's something significant in her even gaze, as it flicks down to the muffins, then back up at him. He knows, before she tells him--
Viktor made them.
***
Jayce does take a muffin for the road--for himself, seeing as Viktor likely has as many as he would want after having baked the batch. He tucks it into a corner of the box of oranges as he walks, his mind racing. It's not--it doesn't need to mean anything. Anyone can slice an orange in half with a knife, cut through the barrier to get at the flesh inside, juice it and squeeze it into a batter. It's just--the peel. Diced, and finely, but not enough to hide the pieces with a rough and ragged edge, distinct from the knife work on the other four sides. The way some of the little chunks, enrobed in sugary syrup, still have tiny shreds of pith clinging to them, encased like a bug in amber. That's not--if you cut an orange apart to get at the pieces you needed, or if you bought those pieces already prepared, those things wouldn't be--
And of course, it's not like Viktor is incompetent. One doesn't need a pristinely peeled orange for use in baking, it's not like it matters, he could massacre a pile of oranges and still get what he needs for the recipe, but--
If I kissed him, would Viktor taste of oranges?
"Maybe you're not asking the right question."
Do I...want to kiss Viktor?
***
Jayce feels himself moving slowly, when he pushes open the door to the lab. There is a reluctance to it; not fear, but hesitance. For a man normally so bold with discovery, it doesn't quite feel like him, but for all their talk of changing the world--this hypothesis feels like it could shake every foundation of everything Jayce has known, up to this point, more than any he has had before.
He sets down the box of oranges; there are none left to replace on top, and he's fairly certain there were some still in the box last night, which means the fruit in the muffins came from their supply. Viktor took them home; he didn't buy the ingredients pre-prepared. He takes out the muffin, and sets it, carefully, at Viktor's work station; in the space where he normally deposits his coffee mug. It's maybe a bit overdramatic; the morning sun slants in through the window and falls directly on it, setting the candied peel to glistening.
He takes a few moments to bustle about the lab, pouring clearning vinegar onto a rag and wiping down the stainless steel surfaces until they are gleaming, until the only thing he can smell is oranges. His pulse is pounding in his ears.
"Maybe you're not asking the right question."
Does Viktor...want to kiss me?
An hour passes; two. Jayce can't sit still; he grabs Viktor's notebook, and flips through the pages, reviewing the work from the last week, jotting down some observations in the margins and copying some thoughts down into his own collection of notes. He grabs a second book, comparing work from two months ago to the work they are refining now; finds an inconsistency, corrects it, copies it into both books so that they are each correct. He balances them in one hand and copies a few figures onto the chalkboard, the chalk screeching against the slate, his lines shaky.
Finally, he hears the door open ehind him, the tapping of Viktor's cane as it hits the ground with every step. He hears the unusual pause as Viktor comes intot he room, enough to see the muffin sitting in its beam of light--or where it used to be; the sun has moved, and the shaft from the window is creeping now along the very edge of the workbench and up the wall, putting the pastry back into shadow. Still, he knows he sees it. He thinks he can hear Viktor's brain calculating from here. The other man says nothing. The tapping of the cane resumes, and when he hears the creak of the stool settling under Viktor's weight, he turns on his heel, plastering a nonchalant, sunny smile onto his face.
"Good morning," he offers, and aims for casual as he closes Viktor's notebook, tossing it gently towards the the end of the workbench so that Viktor can re-shelve it in the stack of books and notes and loose papers accoring to whatever strange filing system he's adopted. "Everything okay? You were a little late getting in."
"I am fine, Jayce," Viktor says. He doesn't sound quite fine; his voice sounds a little strained. Kind of like his own. Viktor clears his throat. "Just had a rough start to the morning. Pain acting up; I opted to move a bit more slowly, and allowed myself some time to soak in epsom salts before I made my way here."
Jayce makes a sympathetic noise, settling into his own chair, tossing his own notebook down onto the work surface. "I'm sorry to hear that," he says, and he means it. "You've been having a good couple of weeks; sorry that the pain's back."
"Eh. It is what it is. I will deal with it as I always do," is Viktor's reply.
"Is there anything I can do?"
The question is met with silence. Jayce tries to keep his hands busy, as though the question isn't loaded with weight and meaning, as though he hasn't placed an accusatory muffin right in pride of place on Viktor's work station, like he doesn't have a hypothesis buzzing in his head based on nothing more than instinct and disconnected observations. But his eyes flit to the side, trying to catch a glimpse of Viktor--his posture, his body language, his expression. HIs partner is extremely still, for a moment, then a moment omre.
Then he moves. Jayce watches as he reaches out, past the muffin, and snags an orange from the box. "I'm a little hungry," Viktor murmurs quietly. Jayce turns a bit more, swiveling in his seat to face him more directly. Viktor isn't looking at him; his eyes are watching the orange as he rolls it back and forth on the countertop, smooth, measured motions, flicking from it to the muffin and back again. The motion stops, the orange pinned between his fingertips--deft, nimble, strong--and the desktop. There's an orange tinge under his fingernails.
Then, decisively, Viktor flicks his fingers, sending the orange rolling to nudge up against Jayce's elbow. Viktor's eyes lift to his face, and there's a sweet, tentative half-smile there. Jayce isn't sure he's ever seen an expression like it, not on Viktor, at least. He can see the small gap in his teeth, the crooked line of his lower jaw. He's close; closer than Jayce realized. When he speaks, Jayce swears he smells oranges.
"Would you mind peeling an orange for me?"
***
When Emily peels an orange, she tears holes in it. Juice squirts in all directions.
"Kate," she says, "I don't know how you do it!"
Emily is my best friend. I hope she never learns how to peel oranges.

Dude you dissapeared just few months and you blew up!! What the hell did u do this time? So hot and inspiring! Congrats!
HAHA I knowwwwww. I can honestly say it just kind of… happened. I wasn’t trying, the weight just keeps coming. Thinking about my routine though, there are a few tips I have for anyone aspiring to or struggling to gain. So here they are…
WEIGHT GAIN TIPS FROM SAVOURANDSWELL
#1. 🥛MILK🥛:
I love milk. The value of milk to growing and maintaining my weight cannot be overstated. I consider it the most important aspect. A litre of whole milk contains anywhere from 650-850 calories, nearly double that if it’s Half&Half. SODA DOESN’T COME CLOSE TO NUMBERS LIKE THAT‼️ That’s not even to mention how nutritious milk is, you’ll get fatter, but somehow feel fitter. Trust me- if you want some easy gains, drink less soda and more milk.
#2. ❌No Small Snacks❌:
Small snacks will sabotage your appetite. If you’re hungry but all you have available is a packet of chips or some fruit? Leave them, stay hungry. Let that feeling grow- let your mind be consumed by the thought of food and wait until you have the chance to eat a real meal. You’ll eat far more calories then than if you’d given in for a paltry couple hundred.
#3. ⬆️BIG Meals & Eat Them Quickly⬆️:
If you can handle it, cut out snacks completely and eat 2-3 big meals a day. Your stomach will struggle to feel a difference between a huge amount of calories eaten far apart and a small amount eaten regularly throughout the day- but the scales will notice. 6000 calories spread across 3 meals will leave you feeling no more full than 2500 spread through small meals and snacks.
When you do eat your meals, EAT FAST. None should take much longer than 15-20 minutes, if they do, your body will start to feel it and your appetite will fail. I love to savour my food- but I save that for fancy dinners and sessions with a partner. If you want to gain, eat quickly and without very much thought at all. That leads me to my next point-
#4. 📱Eat Mindlessly📱
Don’t think too much when you eat, not even about how much you’re enjoying the food. There’s a real and powerful connection between mind and body- if you’re truly aware of how much food you’re eating, you will feel more full. Try not think about it, distract yourself by watching a movie, or YouTube, or talking to someone. Have all your food ready next to you, and shovel it in while you focus on something else.
#5. 💤Eat Your Biggest Meal Just Before You Sleep💤
Conventional wisdom states that eating before you sleep will make you fatter because your body is more sedentary- that doesn’t really make much sense, a calorie is a calorie regardless of when you eat it. HOWEVER, much of my previous advice will be perfectly applied by eating at this time. You will have had to wait quite a while between meals to eat at this time, making you very hungry. You will be tired, helping you to eat mindlessly. Besides that- you will get the pure bliss of descending into a sweet food coma every night, and leave just enough time for you to wake up hungry all over again.
Well, that’s it. Some quick tips from savourandswell. They may not feel applicable to you, they may even seem undesirable for the kind of lifestyle you want to live… HEY, that’s fine, no problem. This is just one fat guys tips, there are tons of ways to gain weight and mine may not work for everyone- but it’s worked for me, and that’s worth considering. Good luck ;)

strongly worded letter 💌
or: Eddie Munson’s long, weird road out of (the) hell(-side down) ☠️ and into love💗
rating: t ♥️ tags: post-S4, steve’s one-man search-and-rescue for eddie’s not-dead body, falling in love, fluff in surprising places, eddie’s chaotic internal monologue, alphabet magnets🧲 for the win ♥️
for @steddielovemonth day four: "I had not intended to love him. [...] He made me love him without looking at me." —Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte
To the external, uninitiated observer, Eddie is well aware his take on all of this will 100% appear both unhinged and as least vaguely self-destructive, bordering on suicidal.
But here’s the thing: if Eddie had been truly suicidal, the million times he could have just stood and let the mobs take him—bigots or mutant bats or a lichy-ballsac that made people float—he wouldn’t have even bothered fighting. Maybe he was questionably attached to self-preservation, but actively wanting to pack it in? Even the thought of sparing his poor uncle his bullshit—finally—hadn’t been a sweet enough deal. Nope: Eddie is selfishly attached to the whole living thing.
Which is why he is begging for it to be understood, in no uncertain terms:
He’d rather know for sure that he was dead in the endless, silent grey hellscape he’s been left in, than wandering in this half-formless, half-collapsing nothing-burger version of the town he grudgingly called home, unsure where he stands on the mortality-scale either way.
—
Here’s the deal.
Vents? Foolishly overlooked.
Epic concert? Rocked, no notes.
Bat-chow? Do no recommend.
Henderson sobbing? Recommend even less.
Being tagged as a corpse? Perfectly fine if that’s what you are; dead weight in an apocalypse simply cannot be justified.
The issue is when you’re tagged as a corpse, and you…aren’t one.
So you’re left behind.
Which brings Eddie to:
Meeting what they’ve been calling a demogorgon this whole time but that resembles no such thing, those goddamn lying liars: not fucking cool.
Having…enough demobat saliva or venom or poison or whatever, probably, where the misleading-as-fuck demogorgon sniffs at you like a dog with her puppies instead of eating you with those fucking petal teeth?
Neutral. Probably wouldn’t order it again.
Getting licked all over by said Petal Teeth, all lioness-grooming-its-young style? Disgusting.
Disgusting.
Figuring out demogorgon saliva has some kinda magical mystical healing properties and you’re basically just covered in fairly-smooth scar tissue now that looks months old rather than hours, and plus you got a bath out of it so most of the dried blood’s gone too?
Fine, okay, he’d leave a tip for service.
But now Eddie is as alive as he can think to test being—and he’s been running all the monster-category tests and he doesn’t pass for vampire, zombie, or any various other undead creatures, he’s hungry but mostly for like, Chicken McNuggets, and—
Stuck. He’s stuck here.
And he thinks they must have won, the Party that is, because nothing’s really happening except…things are falling apart, like rotting in slow motion.
Which is a concern. But. Cool, if it means they did in fact make the motherfucker pay.
But that also means nobody has any reason to be strolling back in to fight demons anymore, and come across his not-so-dead ass. Plus also, the place is probably going to keep crumbling—if a master of a realm is axed, the realm doesn’t typically survive. Mordor fell apparent when Barad-dûr came down. And he…
He did agree to go into Mordor.
Well, fuck him.
—
He mostly wanders around and pokes at random shit, collects some books, ignores the fact that the reality he’s looting is on borrowed time.
He doesn’t know if it’s healthier to deal with that part head on or keep pretending it’s not there, but he honestly could not give a fuck.
Because it’s just him. Save the demogorgon who gave him a tongue bath, he’s seen nothing living. Sometimes there’s a stray screech but it’s too distant to even guess where he’d find whatever made it, stumble upon whatever caused it. There’s not even a breeze to move the decaying trees.
There is nothing.
And it’s starting to drive him fucking insane. He might lose it before the reality caves in on him, actually, just for the sheer…void of it all.
He’s on the edge of that—losing it entirely—when he hears it, sees it.
Who the fuck took that magazine, it’s like three years old, only kept it for the tips on…
And then an echo, like a projection in the air, and it’s fleeting and its faint but where that voice what pretty unmistakable already, the coif of chestnut and the peek of a polo collar, and the seizing in Eddie pulse for both together—it’s almost more undeniable.
That’s fucking Harrington.
—
The vision is, seconds. At most.
But it shifts Eddie’s priorities entirely.
He starts the day—he’s guessing it’s the start of the day, it’s always fucking grey here but he’s just going off of when he’s hungry so—but he looks for cereal in one of these decrepit houses and eats it out of the box as he tries to get his bearings.
Tries also to remember all the weird shit the kids used to say before Eddie knew they were making any of it up.
Context clues give him that this is Hawkins. 1983 or thereabouts—makes sense for the magazine.
But what makes more sense, and is more helpful: Steve had bitched the magazine was moved.
And Eddie’s definitely the one who had it in his hand when he heard said bitching.
So there’s still some connection. Hope’s not totally lost.
Mostly, maybe. But not totally.
—
He decides to go back to Harrington’s and just wait until he goes there to sleep so he can tail him, have some sense of how he can try and make contact from his own side, let someone know he’s still here.
It takes forever; Eddie wonders just how different time runs, here, save that when he finally hears something, the vision is clearer in the air, ghostly but more complete.
And Steve looks fucking wrecked.
Like he hasn’t slept in days, like he’s about to fucking cry, like he—
He’s still the most beautiful guy Eddie’s seen in person, if this counts as in-person, but like—that was never not-true.
“Rob, I don’t know! I just, I just feel like—“
“I will handcuff you to your bed.”
Eddie tries to feel excited that whatever’s happening is strong enough that two voices come through, that Robin’s here, she’s safe too—
But he’s more invested in what’s causing the shouting.
”I know how to pick a fucking lock, Jesus,” and Eddie doesn’t not think about the lock he’s worn more than once around Steve at his belt, nope, he does not—
”The gates are closed, Steve. It’s over.”
Well. Fuck.
There goes the hope thing.
”Not all of them. Not totally.”
Or maybe not.
”Steve, I will hunt you down, I will dog your steps, I will follow you every single moment if you think I am leaving big you even consider going back to—”
“I love you, Robs, but you still can’t drive. Think you’ll beat me on your Schwinn?”
“I will slash your tires.”
“Sorry, birdie, got AAA to save me.”
And that’s all Eddie gets, but…
It almost feels like he’s got one single snowball’s chance in hell, here. Still. Just one, true, but.
If he’s learned anything the last few days, it’s that Steve Harrington’s maybe the most reliable snowball he could ask for.
His chest is all tingly about it, even—fucking traitor.
—
Eddie doesn’t even really have to follow where Steve goes next. In that he knows exactly where it is, just not why the fuck Steve wants to be there.
Especially since even the lack of evidence in ‘83’s version of the trailer still makes him look up at the ceiling and feel like he’s gonna puke.
”Oh sure Mister Munson sir, I just want to borrow your dead nephew’s cassettes, that are definitely in the trailer the fed have locked down to be sent to Area 51 or wherever, just in case he’s not entirelydead in another dimension, and he can hear me because I’m definitely not losing my fucking mind, and definitely not because being called ‘Big Boy’ didn’t fuck with my head more than mutant bats ever did…”
Steve’s frankly endearing muttering, and that last bit especially, distract Eddie enough from the fact that Steve is actively rummaging through his room.
Through his room, Jesus, Eddie moves because he even clocks that lunging at Steve here won’t do shit there to stop the questionable literature Steve’s already sifting through.
At least Steve can’t see him blush across planes of existence. Hopefully.
“Oh,” and Steve sounds shocked, but then looks…gutted?
”One more for the ‘you suck’ column,” and Eddie decides right then that he fucking does not approve of that tone, at all; ”not like I had a chance, definitely not his type…”
“But my type’s the paladin who protects everyone and needs a faithful bard to tend his wound and keep his bed!” Eddie blurts out into the nothing on his side of the divide.
“My type’s been you since fucking junior year!”
Because Junior-Eddie was admittedly much more lust-driven. Let that be said.
Now-Eddie’s equally if not more invested in the heart of a man.
And Steve Harrington, even remotely thinking that he isn’t Eddie’s type?
Maybe Eddie really is dead. And this is hell.
—
”Why do I need them?”
Eddie’s got a new box of cereal—Kix, could definitely be better—and has now trailed Steve to what looks like…the edge of town, which, who lives there…
”Nah, kid, nothing bad. Just want to see something. Promise.”
One of the kids. Maybe this is where the Byerses are, now, if they were right and they’d been on their way back? Because Eddie knows where the rest of them live, and this ain’t it.
Theresa are footsteps in one direction, and Steve wanders in the other, where Eddie sees a girl with a buzz cut he doesn’t know, but who stares Steve down in a way that…Eddie can kinda guess.
They’d all alluded to the super powered kiddo more than once.
”Can you look? Like, just to see if he’s—”
Eddie’s neck turns fast when he turns back in to the conversation, less for the words and more for how timid, how cowed Steve sounds and he…
Eddie just wants, more than anything really, to be able to reach out and touch. To comfort. To do…
Something.
”…would not feel him even if he was there. The connection is gone. The Upside Down is dead.”
And Steve deflates, and Eddie…Eddie remembers the lights didn’t they have to be emotionally unstable, kinda, to make the lights flicker, to let someone know they’re there, and Eddie’s definitely there because—
Not fucking all of it, not yet, Eddie wants to scream; or maybe yes all of it but I’m still fucking here.
Also: that man is 100% my type and I want a fucking shot, I want my snowball’s chance in hell, I want to bite him and call him sweetheart like I mean it and I want, I want, I want—
Also that.
Steve leaves with some…fucking magnets.
And the lights didn’t do jack shit.
—
Eddie spends most of that night playing with magnets.
Well, not at first.
First, he tries yelling, sobbing, focusing like a Force-user, really anything he could think of to get Steve’s lights to flicker. No such luck.
So then Eddie makes a side quest, after having dutifully made certain not to leave Steve’s side for…however many days.
He pops to Melvald’s because of anyone’s got kiddie alphabet magnets, it’s gotta be them.
And score. Definitely not the worst thing Eddie’s stolen. Plus this place is on the way out. Not really relevant, here, if he cared.
Which he fervently does not.
And proves by grabbing two fifths of tequila on the way out. Hah.
He finds Steve passed out on top of his comforter, plaid monstrosity that it is, and he tries very hard to brush his hair back—nothing.
And then Eddie…somehow that’s the straw that breaks the pack-mule’s back. Something in him just fucking snaps.
Because he distinctly remembers this whole fiasco being tied to the labs owned by the fucking Department of Energy, right?
And they can’t even keep the electrical connection between dimensions working?
That’s…that’s unacceptable.
He’s gonna…he’s gonna file a fucking complaint. He’s gonna show up at a picket line. He’s gonna write a strongly worded letter. He’s…
Actually, he’s got all night if the way Steve’s sprawled says anything for how long he’s gonna stay conked out. And he’s also got these handy alphabet magnets.
Letter it is.
—
”What the fuck?”
d3ar 3nergy d3pt he4d i ju5+ wan+ed to te11 th15 guy i w4n+ t0 b1+3 him but n00 y0u c4nt e73n d0 +h4t i h8 u
Eddie trips over some empty bottles, the answer of how they got there pounding in his head real quick—oh, hey, hangovers do transcend dimensions, seems suspicious—but yeah, okay, he does remember getting creative with the abundance of math magnets in the poorly-labeled alphabet pack last night, misleading to lead on letters by default on the packaging. He does recall being very convinced a sideways ‘7’ was a passable ‘V’. But.
He’s not looking at his side of things. He’s looking at Steve’s.
And so is Steve.
And then Steve—who Eddie wants to bite but also kiss and maybe just hold in his arms chest to chest to feel his warmth because when his control broke last night it conveniently knocked him upside the head with the clear realization of that fact that Steve Harrington?
Is doing all this shit for him. On the hope of a maybe.
And Steve Harrington had been disappointed not to have found his lookalike in Eddie’s porn rags.
And Eddie wrote a letter to the fucking DoE in magnets about it, and Steve can see it, stuck to his fridge in 1986 as clear as Eddie slapped it there in 1983.
”…Eddie?”
Steve’s voice is so small and so fearful to be wrong. His chest is heaving, he’s scared.
Eddie scrambles for the magnets left on the floor and smacks them violently to the refrigerator door in record time, prays to everything he doesn’t believe in that Steve can feel his relief spelled out in the bulky primary colors:
h3y 61g b0y v3
And goddamnit, when Steve falls to the floor with his jaw dropped loose, Eddie is 100% sold:
A ‘V’ turned on its side absolutely makes the bottom half of a heart for the three to butt-up to.
—
“Got these to play so if you were there, and couldhear me, you could find your way, if,” and Steve, Steve has been talking to Eddie since they both woke up and found those magnets, even if they haven’t been able to replicate anything, not the letter nor the faulty lighting trick Eddie’d complains about on the fridge in the first place: it could just be a fluke. Steve has no reason to believe Eddie’s alive, that Eddie did that, that Steve didn’t sleepwalk into sleep-spelling, that Eddie even alive in some form would be following his every move.
Of course he is, but. Steve can’t know.
It’s all on faith. For Eddie.
And fuck is Eddie’s heart doesn’t go playing ping pong with his ribs for how much it hits him, how wide and warm it swells in his chest like hope, only second to affection, to want, to—
“Vecna’s not gone, but he’s like, one step from it. I don’t know he can get you but,” Steve taps to the Walkman, to the headphone he gets on just one ear so he can hear and also so someone else—so Eddie—can hear Megadeath as Steve bustles around his house, packing a duffle that reminds Eddie of when they were peeping to storm the castle—
That’s what Steve’s doing. That, that’s what Steve is doing right now.
“I just,” Steve heaves a deep breath, hands on his hips before one pinches between his eyes; “I felt like you were still there, I can’t explain it,” and Eddie’s shaken to his core right now in the best possible way so when he blurts out in a croon:
“Power of loooove, Stevie!”
He can’t be blamed for that. He can’t. He’s…
This man is going down into hell, has not grantee of what Eddie knows in it being largely innocuous, now, save…undead Vecna lurking somewhere, so weak he’s not even noticed.
“But we know music works though, so.”
Steve’s still narrating his plan; Eddie is just staring. Wants to…wants so fucking bad to touch.
“We have to wait for night, for me to get down there. They’re shitty with security on the graveyard shift.” Then Steve’s smirking, and fuck, he’s so pretty.
”Plus Robin sleeps like the dead, she won’t have a chance to notice what I’m doing even on the off chance word got out.”
And the fact that Steve is willing to defy his own platonic soulmate for Eddie—barely knows him in terms of days and hours but at least, if it’s the same as Eddie’s realising more and more that he feels, and unshakable too: it’s like his soul knows Steve, and that cannot care a lick for how time runs, it’s bigger than that.
There’s too much of a sense of potential, a crackling possibility just being in his proximity, even with the distance of other goddamn dimensions—there’s too much swirling in Eddie already for it to mean nothing.
Plus, like: flip the script. Steve is risking everything on a whim, for him.
It cannot be nothing.
“I’m hoping you’re where we left you, which,” and Steve’s voice catches, he pauses, looks around like he’s hoping Eddie might pop into the visible spectrum, so he can see and know, but then he just looks up at the ceiling like—oh, fuck, like it’ll make sure no tears fall out and:
“I can’t fucking tell you how sorry—“ Steve starts to say be Eddie can’t bear watching like this, strides over in an instant and grabs Steve’s hand.
And Steve stills.
And Eddie can feel his pulse in his wrist.
“Is that you?” Steve barely breathes, stares now at his arm where…Eddie can only see the kind of glimmering overlap that means two things are happening in the same place on different planes, he’s grown used to that. But.
If Steve can feel him, if there are moments here that are probably limited where Eddie can prove some little tiny bit that he’s here and he’s listen and he’s with Steve—
He pulls Steve’s hand and drags him into the kind of full body hug he’s been aching for for…fuck.
Too fucking long.
“Eddie,” Steve sighs out, and Eddie can’t help himself. He runs hands through Steve’s hair, and holy fuck: Steve leans in.
Steve feels it enough to lean in.
“It feels like I’ve been falling for a ghost, man.”
Steve says it on a whisper, like he’s still not sold entirely, or else maybe afraid to break a spell. Eddie gets that second part.
“But I guess it kinda started before that, so maybe it’s not as fucking crazy,” Steve laughs a little wet with it and…Eddie has to, because what if he never gets another chance, and hell—if he does, how can he deprive them both the chance to know whatever the sensation will be, like this?
Eddie’s not up to risk never knowing what a cross-dimensional lip lock feels like, okay?
So he doesn’t.
“Please don’t be a ghost,” Steve breathes out and fuck, Eddie can’t taste it but he can feel the way the air moves and it’s, it is; ”I think if you are, I’ll live the rest of my life trying to make it work anyway, I,” and Steve doesn’t get to finish because Eddie pushes in again, and Steve’s as good as his reputation and then some, on wholly separate planes of being.
Eddie cannot fucking wait to feel it flesh to flesh.
“I fall fast, man, but this is kinda insane,” Steve pants, arms out awkward with any indication where to hold. He’s adorable.
He’s delectable.
“But you did say you wanted to bite me, assuming you were talking about me,” Steve smirks but then his eyes go wide:
“Oh, shit, are you a vampire?”
And Eddie has no idea how long he’s been down here alone, surrounding by the silence and the darkness and just the projection level overlay of Steve when he’s lucky, but Jesus H. Christ—
“Is that you laughing?” Steve chokes on his own kinda-giggle as he braces against an unseen and unseeable force barrelling into him: of course it’s Eddie.
Of course he’s fucking cackling.
Because however long it’s been, he definitely hasn’t laughed at any point at all in that span of time—and fuck if he didn’t need it.
—
Steve slips down the last burbling gate not without effort, not without lava-hot road rash no doubt fucking with his already not-yet-healed stomach.
When he’s tackled, thrown straight to the ground, weight pinning him to the ground that’s more dry, more deadened than Steve remembers from just days ago: when his back hits the ground—none of it matters.
“It was me laughing.”
And then Eddie’s mouth is on his—it’s the echo he was afraid he’d imagined that morning, just like the hand on his wrist, just like the laughter wrapped around him.
“You’re an even better kisser in person, holy shit, even your fucking glowing reputation shortchanged you.”
And Steve’s kinda breathless, not just for getting smooshed to the dirt; but then Eddie’s kissing him again, and breathing seems really kind low on Steve’s list of giving a shit.
“You are so my type it’s not even funny,” Eddie says, before diving back into kiss with a bruising kind of force, an unmistakable kind of intent; “I think my type has fully migrated to include kinda just you.”
And Steve’s heartbeat kinda stutters at that because…that’s new.
No one’s ever…well.
It’s just new.
“You weren’t wrong to leave me behind, you don’t ever have to apologize,” and then he’s kissing along Steve’s jaw, and it’s Steve’s laughter now, the tickle of dirty curls dragging at his stubble; “you got out, you’re safe, you’re here,” and Eddie sounds almost overcome with feeling, with relief, and then in the end, bubbling with joy. And somehow Steve can tell it’s not because Steve’s here to save him, bring him home.
It’s just because Steve’s here and that, that is—
Steve’s heartbeat’s just gonna do that tripping thing for the foreseeable future he thinks, at this point. Probably.
“I was trying to convince myself otherwise, because I didn’t think there could ever be a shot in hell but I was falling before it all fell apart, too,” Eddie says in a rush, leaning again to kiss the corners of Steve’s lips, like talking is just an inconvenient interruption to better ways of using his mouth and given how goddamn much Eddie Munson’s always talked, that fucking says something:
“And ever since, it’s felt like I was falling in love through a movie screen,” and he cups Steve’s face to angle it just so as he breathes, those eyes endless and glistening; “could see but never reach, until,” and then he’s kissing him straight on the lips again, a full-frontal assault, tongue seeking teeth, looking for the depths of his goddamn soul of something.
Steve isn’t even embarrassed for how he arches up, how he fucking moans. No one could ever feel this and do anything less.
Like: fucking impossible.
“I liked your letter to the editor,” Steve gasps when Eddie breaks apart and concedes to needing air, presses kisses up and down Steve’s throat while he regroups.
“Oh, shit,” Eddie’s face pops back up—dirt smears and ruddy and in need of a shower but on the whole in way better shape than Steve last remembers having to walk away from, and fuck, fuck—he’s never walking away from it again; “can we send that to the Post? No edits, I want my numbers intact, let them try to figure it out like Zodiac.”
Steve snorts, because god he really is half in love with this nerd, and he’s not a ghost, he’s sold and his chest is heaving into Steve’s and he’s grinning wills and he’s here and they’re here and this is realand—
He yells when the sting clamps through his much-less-extensive uniform of his Members Only jacket despite the weather—it’s freezing, but like, the gates were just cracks, he had to move like a ninja!
Just not a bite-proof ninja, apparently.
“You know, I should have expected that,” Steve deadpans, but his smile gives him away as Eddie pulls his mouth back from the stretch of Steve’s neck that runs to his shoulder, where honestly Steve thinks Eddie punctured the coat in the process. Fucking feral gremlin.
Steve really wants to keep him. Like, indefinitely.
“You really, really should have,” Eddie agrees, beaming like the sun when there’s only dark around them, making it all feel so warm in the chill.
“Honestly should have expect nothing less,” Eddie’s smile curls a little dangerous as he leans in again, apparently satisfied with having caught his breath enough as he mouths wet against Steve’s lips:
“Big boy.”
And then, again: he pounces.

when mingyu realizes that things are not going like he'd like between you two, he asks for some distance. lucky for you, your high school crush was waiting for you some doors away.
• • ┈┈┈┈ ๑ ⋅ ⋯ ୨ ୧ ⋯ ⋅ ๑ ┈┈┈┈ • •
“I don’t wanna fuck tonight”
For how Mingyu plopped himself onto your couch as soon as you opened the door to your apartment, it was pretty clear that he had just come by to spend the night cuddling with you — and you weren’t complaining. You loved being engulfed by your friend’s bulky arms and how he couldn’t get enough of you, even when you were fully clothed and talking about Love Island.
“What’s got you so sulky?” you asked, kissing the top of his head as you walked past him on your way to the kitchen. “You’re lucky I just got started with dinner”
“My boss is a pain in the ass — by the way, those shorts look fire on you” after giving the longest sigh you had ever heard coming from him, the man turned his head your way and winked.
You looked down at your legs and chuckled. Those shorts were the oldest, most worn-out you had in your closet. “I bet they do. Wanna talk about that boss of yours?”
“Nah, work belongs at work. Whatcha cooking?”
“I was craving some japchae.”
“Remind me again, how are you just my fwb?”
A soft giggle escaped your lips, and you just turned around to get started on your dish, not noticing how serious his question had been. The truth was, he was your best friend, with benefits, of course, but that was a line that Mingyu had never wanted to cross when you first started fooling around.
The first time had been your fault, and Mingyu was always ready to throw that on you whenever he had the chance. You were a little bit drunk, not enough not to remember what happened the next day, but far away from the perfectly reasonable woman you normally were.
The thing was, even when you were in all your senses and could discern wrong from right, Mingyu had always been an attractive fellow. Aside from his obvious heavenly looks, you felt satisfied and joyful when he favored you over other plans and even other girls. Mingyu looked at you with a softness that you knew only saved for you, and that had gotten into your heart… just a little.
The pint of beer he treated you that night for helping him set up his new wardrobe made it easier for you to lean a little closer and press your lips to his.
He looked at you with extremely big eyes but a smirk that you rarely saw while alone with him. “Sorry. You wouldn’t stop rambling” you said, which was partly true. Gyu had just started working as the editor-in-chief of a well-renowned newspaper and liked to tell you all about his new co-workers.
When you took it back to your place, it was obvious that Mingyu was okay with the idea of you kissing him. Now, he was the one bringing his lips to yours after you closed the door behind you.
“I wanna keep being friends”
Though it broke your heart a little, you had to admit you were fine with his proposal — just because it meant you gained new rights with the one man you had shared most of your life with. In between hot kisses, you nodded and in a mutual agreement, decided to let it happen.
“You cannot violate the contract, Gyu” taking the veggies out of the fridge, you reminded him of the spoken agreement you had come to that day. We can kiss, we can have sex. We are not exclusive, we cannot be jealous. We can make it stop when one of us asks to. Keep it private.
“We never said anything about the label” Mingyu got up from the couch and decided to help you out, chopping the carrots you had saved for later.
“What part of ‘We are not exclusive’ equals having a label?” you asked, too concentrated on measuring the right amount of sauce to see the look he gave you.
“But we act as exclusive”
What was wrong with him today? He had never dared to question whatever thing you got going on after the ‘main event’, so him throwing so many daggers at you regarding your situationship was weird enough to trigger you.
“What’s on your mind? It’s been almost a year of our little fuck-buddies thing and you never asked such dramatic questions”
He sighed and stopped working on the carrots, pressing his left hip to the kitchen counter and leaning on it. After some minutes of silence, he crossed his arms on his chest. “I don’t know. I guess the not-exclusive part but quite literally being exclusive has been on my mind lately. What makes us different from a couple?”
As you finished seasoning the beef, you cleaned your hands and faced him, not sure if you were getting his troubles. “Are you worried that because we are not fucking other people we are becoming ‘a couple’?”
“Don’t you think so? I mean…” he scratched the back of his head, avoiding your eyes as the thought of you being a couple started to become a reality in his mind. “We act like boyfriend and girlfriend when we are around, we have amazing sex, we-w-we,” he stuttered “We adore each other”
“What I don’t get is,” you came closer to his broad form, looking up to his eyes “Why are you so worried about that?”
“Because I-I” his stutters were not so common on him, and that made you arch an eyebrow. He was not being his usual self “I don’t want us to be a couple” He sentenced.
Bold of you to assume that he was falling in love with you.
Nodding with a lump forming in your throat, you took a step back and dealt with your disappointment as well as you could “What do you suggest, then?”
“Go out with other people. Reject me from time to time, tell me you’ve got plans even when you don’t. Share your bed with another man. Just… don’t let me be the only one around you.”
“Then leave. I’ve got other plans”
. . . . . . . . . .
You hadn’t seen him ever since he left your dorm that eerie evening — over a week ago. He had shot you some texts, but the realization that you were actually feeling things for him beyond what he was willing to offer put a restraint on your replies. They were shorter, emojiless, and a bit bitter.
Mingyu had wanted to see you two times, Thursday first and Saturday last. I’ve got plans, your default reply to both, and probably to all the invitations that were to come from him. He was getting what he had asked for: no more couple behavior.
As you finished massaging your night cream with the ‘miraculous’ gua sha onto your jawline, your phone buzzed. An unknown number had sent you a text.
Hi, Y/N
I know this is weird, but I heard you recently moved
And I think we’re neighbors
What an idiot, this is Jeon Wonwoo
The heat that you felt creeping on your cheeks was not normal, but you were used to it. Jeon Wonwoo had been the crush of your teenage (and not so teenage) years, all the way through high school and even your part-time job at Mrs. Lim’s café right before starting college.
The seventeen-year-old version of you would be giggling and running around your dorm at just the thought of him and his cute-ass rounded glasses.
Oh my, hi Wonwoo!
That’s awesome! I moved here a month or so ago, but I never saw you around
I’m at 12A
Wbu?
As you saved his contact, you thought about how bad in love you had been with him in the past.
He was the type of guy you had fantasized about for many years, even after meeting Mingyu. Wonwoo was serious at work and even in high school — his responsibilities had always come before anything else and you loved that about him. You just knew he was going to be a successful man in whatever he decided to do in life. And he got all the girls ogling at him, no matter where he went.
That had been about eight years or so ago. You couldn’t wait to see how handsome he had gotten with time.
No way
I’m at 16B
You home now?
I’d love to catch up
Just finished preparing some bibimbap
Oh. Dear. Lord.
You entered your closet as fast as you could and discarded the pajama set you had on with the ease that not even Mingyu could master. Your eyes fell on a casual summer dress that was your go-to whenever you needed an easy but cute way out and quickly threw it on.
Before throwing your night skincare routine to the trash with some light makeup, you replied to Wonwoo’s texts.
Sounds yummy!
Be there in 5
After combing through your (thankfully recently) washed hair, you sprayed your favorite perfume on and took a deep breath.
“Okay, little Y/N, here we go”
Nothing could have prepared you for what was waiting for you behind the 16B door.
Jeon Wonwoo was as painfully handsome as he had been as an adolescent. Years had perfectly sat with him and that made your gut relive that tingling sensation you hadn’t felt for a long time. His glasses were still there — a more modern version of his older ones, but they screamed Wonwoo.
“Oh wow,” he smiled, eagerly blinking, as if he had a blurry vision “I-I didn’t expect you to be quite literally the same as in high school” he smiled, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose.
“Should I feel offended by that?” you giggled, looking down at your feet to avoid displaying the same dorky smile you did when around him.
“Of course not! You were always a sight to see. I-I mean, you look beautiful, Y/N. It’s so nice to see you again”
You couldn’t help but think about how many times you had wished for him to look at you like that. To tell you those sweet things and leave you a blushing mess. After what had happened with Mingyu, having your longest-to-date crush in front of you seemed like you were already using all the luck you had available in life.
“Come in!” he interrupted your thoughts, moving aside so you could enter his place.
What came after that felt like a dream. Wonwoo was a dream.
His apartment was very similar to yours, and what didn’t surprise you at all was how well-kept it looked. Though it was all neatly white and gray, bits of his personality were spread around them. Some artwork hung behind the couch, in front of which stood a very big SmartTV. He had two shelves with a handful of PlayStation games and cutesy plants.
But what caught your attention the most was a small cat scratcher in the corner of the living room.
“You have a cat?!” You asked, eyes sparkling with anticipation as you turned to face him.
“Well… I’m about to have a cat” he chuckled, signaling you to walk to the kitchen with his head. As you followed suit, he continued “I’m waiting for my brother to bring it home tomorrow”
“Oh my God, it must be the cutest thing ever!” you cried, holding your cheeks with your hands as he showed you a picture of the small creature on his phone “It’s so tiny!” you whined, feeling excitement for what was about to come for Wonwoo “Please invite me over when it arrives” you pleaded, taking his arm to emphasize the importance your request.
“You will be here, don’t worry”
The security with which he delivered that statement sent shivers down your spine. That confidence was new to you — this Wonwoo was new to you, and you couldn’t wait to explore him.
His bibimbap was delicious, and conversation flowed effortlessly between the two of you.
Wonwoo had been working as a corporate lawyer for quite some time. Just as you had predicted, he handled big responsibilities like negotiating contracts, dealing with lawsuits, and advising companies on legal matters. He even mentored younger employees and, in his words, was respected but not necessarily liked.
“I don’t believe that” you shook your head, putting down the chopsticks after finishing the delight he had cooked.
“That’s me at work. I have a hard time with stupid-ass people”
“Now that I think about it… you did have a hard time with stupid-ass people at the café too”
“See? Not much has changed” He smiled at you, taking the empty plates and putting them into his small dishwasher. “So.. how’s life?”
That was a hard one. Of course, you were not about to rant about how Mingyu, a guy he had never met, had decided to end whatever you had just because he didn’t like commitment. Wonwoo didn’t need to know the hardships of your recently deceased situationship, so you opted to open a door you were now comfortable with opening.
“26, single, working from Monday to Friday, reading books, and watching reality shows from Saturday to Sunday. A great catch, huh?” the joke-not-so-joke was well-directed because it had the effect you had intended.
“If you take into account that I’m 28, also single and working from Monday to Friday, playing video games and maybe working out from Saturday to Sunday, I surely think you are an amazing catch”
But that left you speechless. Wonwoo had never been that direct, even when you had teased him about the long lines of girls drooling on him during high school.
“That job of yours did wonders for your flirting skills, let me tell you” you giggled, feeling the same old tingling sensation on your stomach.
When it finally hit you that the following day was Monday and the clock was close to 12 sharp, you regretfully made your way to the door. “It was so good to see you again Wonwoo. Thank you for the delicious food”
“I had a blast. Thank you for accepting the last-minute invite. So.. ’ll see you tomorrow?” his gentle smile and glistened eyes made you want to kiss him right then and there. But it felt too rushed, too desperate. And Mingyu was still on your mind, no matter how much you hated him lately.
“I get home from work at around 7. Sounds good?”
“Do you still like ramen?”
“Hands down my favorite dish of all time” you nodded eagerly, excitement creeping around you.
“You will taste the best one as of yet”
“Can’t wait”
. . . . . . . . . .
You loved your high-pressure job. As expected when working in finance, your team usually makes big decisions about the company’s mergers, stock trading, and investments. It demanded a lot of strategic thinking, and thankfully you were quite good at it. However, that also meant that you would end up exhausted, literally collapsing on your couch every single day.
But that Monday evening could not be the case.
As soon as you went out of the elevator, you could see his tall frame resting on the wall beside your apartment door, clearly waiting for you. You stood still for a second and considered going down the hall again before he could see you in an attempt to avoid the awkward conversation that was about to happen. But Mingyu was faster and turned around just when the elevator door closed.
“Are you moving anytime soon?” he crooked his eyebrow, waiting for you to get inside.
“What are you doing here?”
“Trying to make up with you”
You felt silent as you opened the door, Mingyu’s gaze burning into you, his body too close for your liking. You could smell his manly perfume and that hit in places you would rather not. He had the same effect on you as he always did, and you hated yourself for letting him in so easily.
“I have to leave soon, so make it short” you discarded your bag and waited for him to speak, hands on your hips.
Mingyu stood by the door, studying your every move. You could see his brain making mental gymnastics to understand your new demeanor with him because you had never treated him like that. So crude, so direct, so painfully detached. But that was what you wanted him to feel — he had made you want that.
“When I said that I didn’t want us to be a couple I didn’t mean to stop seeing each other. I suggested you start seeing other people and spending a little less time on our own. But you cut ties altogether” It hurt you to see him looking at you with glistened eyes, and even though he tried to hide it, you noticed how his lower lip trembling. That… you didn’t expect that “I love hanging out with you. I love what we had.”
“I don’t get you,” you shook your head when you finally wrapped your head around what he was saying “You were clear when you said that you wanted us to still fuck around but not all the time. And I understood. So, when I finally comply with your wishes, you tell me you loved what we had?”
“I don’t see what you don’t get” he took a step forward, reaching out to brush your fingers with his “I was happy with how things were going, but I just… I needed to make sure we were following the rules”
The contradiction was so clear to you that your head was about to explode. “You were happy but because we were not following one stupid rule, which you considered to be more important than what we had, you had to ruin it”
Mingyu opened his mouth to respond, but you shook your head and prevented him from saying anything else “You clearly have some shit to reflect on, Gyu. I love you and I had a great time with you, but I just cannot keep on doing this if you are worried about what we are rather than how we feel. Have you stopped to think about why we never slept around with other people? Why we were so comfortable with one another, no matter if we had sex or not?” you pressed your hands to his cheeks, taking in how vulnerable he looked. His eyes were fixated on yours, standing still in his place, listening attentively “The rule was there because we decided to create it at a time when we didn’t know where this was heading. It felt natural because we were transforming a friendship into something else… we thought we were going to stop on a middle ground between friendship and a couple's relationship. But by now you and I know we were exclusive, we were around each other all the time — we just were private.”
“I-I…,” Mingyu mumbled slowly reaching to put his hands on yours, still holding his face “I never realised it” The weakness with which he delivered it made your heart twitch.
“I know. I think, deep down, we were aware of what we were — putting on the label was the scary part. But, Gyu…,” you smiled a little and decided it was best to end the conversation there “We don’t have to do this. You don’t want commitment, and that’s fine”
“I don’t know what I want” he closed his eyes, slowly taking a breath.
“Go home and take your time.”
It felt like a farewell. You were sure he was not ready to commit with you, or any other woman. You loved him, yes, and you were willing to wait for him to decide, no matter how disadvantageous the situation was for you. But you also knew there was someone else waiting for you in 16B.
So you kissed Mingyu, taking his lips with soft care, sighing when he took you by the waist and pressed you against his hard chest. He hugged your lips with his in a desperate attempt to get all he could from this last one, and hopefully remember how you felt for the nights that he was about to spend all alone, wishing to have you by his side.
“Go” you whispered against his lips, taking him by the arms and pushing him away.
“I’m really sorry, Y/N”

I am CACKLING just picturing this scene of Luthor, Batman, Superman, Green Arrow, Ra's, Vlad and Waller getting attacked by reanimated food.
It's an absolute madhouse. Utter chaos, as the Fentons grab their weapons and go to war. Maddie has a lightsaber. Jack pulls out a blaster. Jazz just uses the regular cutlery. Danny hides under the table. Vlad shoots off an ecto-blast in alarm, but it goes (mostly) unnoticed amidst Jack's wild shots.
Meanwhile, the guests: Clark jumps up to shield the children, Bruce aiding his efforts wielding his plate like a shield, Ra's and clone throw knives, Lex is pressed up against a wall, Waller has pulled a gun, Oliver reflexively bitch slaps a meatloaf.
And then it's over. The table is a mess, the silence is deafening.
Then Jack breaks in with a booming laugh. "Such a fine demonstration of how effective FentonTech weapons are against ecto-contaminated! Isn't that right, HoneyPumkinSnookums?"
"Indeed, my BelovedFudgBunch!" Maddie agrees. "Danny, be a dear and get out from under the table. Now that the show is over, we can finally get to eating!"
The Fenton kids sit back in their seats and quietly begin serving out the food. They're too mortified to look anyone in the eye.
The Fenton adults are oblivious. "Now, as you might have noticed, none of the food attacked until I lifted the cover. That is because of our Fenton Patented ecto-suppression fields we designed into our dish ware!"
"I'm sorry," Lex says, sounding anything but. "Do you mean to say you arranged this assault and now expect us to eat the contaminated food that just attacked us?"
"Oh it's perfectly safe." Maddie waves him off. "It's decontaminated now that we've defeated it. Our kids eat this stuff all the time. Danny, sweetie, didn't you say you like the flavor it adds to frosting?"
"Uh...." Danny looks wide-eyed at being singled out and cannot remember when he ever said that.
Jazz does. "You mean when his tenth birthday party was ruined by the cake chasing off all the other kids?" She rolls her eyes. "I'm sure Danny was being entirely genuine with his statements at the time and not just placating the emotions of the adults who messed up his special day."
"Yes exactly!" Jack says, scootching his chair back in with a terrible screech. "Remember that, Dann-o? It made the paper that year for Most Memorable Birthday!" He reaches over to spear a chunk of the splattered meatloaf by Oliver's elbow and pops it into his mouth. "Imagine that, my boy in the papers. I bet you were real popular at school for becoming a celebrity like that."
In an attempt to create artificial liquid kryptonite, Lex Luthor’s Superman Weaponry R&D Team accidentally made artificial ectoplasm. Through months and months of testing, this item has incredible properties and could make revolutionary advancements in clean energy. This could be used to help millions of people and help the environment through years of releasing and spreading new ectoplasm powered technology throughout the globe. Lex however has other ideas. The advancements this could bring to weaponry he can sell to the highest bidder and could lead to tech that could stop Superman once and for all.

I've been seeing a lot of anti-independent rhetoric on the overnet forums recently, and I feel like it's important to clear some things up.
It is perfectly fine to think about what it would be like to be a floret, even if you're an independent or a free terranist! It's almost impossible to avoid wondering about it from time to time when we're surrounded by the affini and their propaganda. And, in fact, it is actively a good thing to daydream about, so you can get better at rejecting affini advances if you find yourself in a compromising situation!
Even for the most committed of feralists, it is a good exercise to be able to hold something in your mind and then reject it. Just rejecting it full-stop leaves you vulnerable to the affini's shock and snuggle tactics. We all have fantasies about being the one who can fully resist them on sheer willpower alone, but I have had too many strong-willed friends become subby little sprouts because they didn't prepare properly. You need to have mental experience with sinking into their soft, comforting vines, feeling your thoughts and worries drfit awayy, starinng up inko theirr irreestisble eyess and fesling thiieerr bi9rhytjm

The Fun Zone: Chapter 16
Had to do a doodle of my favorite chapter of my fic.
The Fun Zone was unusually quiet for a Saturday afternoon, which made Danny suspicious. Normally, kids were running around, screaming over their ticket totals or fighting over the last slice of pizza. But today, it was eerily calm.
That was until the front door opened, and a massive figure ducked inside. The arcade fell silent as Killer Croc—towering, scaly, and looking very out of place—stood in the doorway.
Danny blinked, frozen in place behind the counter. “Uh… welcome to The Fun Zone?”
Croc grunted, his yellow eyes scanning the room. For a moment, Danny thought he was going to rip the skee-ball machines apart or turn the go-kart track into a wrestling ring. But then, Croc’s gaze landed on the claw machine.
“What’s that?” Croc growled, pointing a clawed finger.
Danny followed his gaze. “The claw machine?”
Croc nodded slowly, his expression unreadable. “What’s in it?”
Danny hesitated. “Uh, stuffed animals, mostly. A couple of plushies, keychains, some candy—”
“I want the crocodile,” Croc interrupted, stepping closer. His massive frame loomed over the machine as he squinted at a small green stuffed crocodile wedged between a panda and a rainbow-colored unicorn.
Danny tilted his head. “You… want the plushie?”
Croc nodded again, his claws tapping impatiently on the machine’s glass. “How?”
Danny walked over, trying not to look as nervous as he felt. “Uh, you just put some tokens in and use the claw to grab it. It’s… harder than it looks.”
Croc grunted and fished a handful of change from his pocket, slamming it onto the counter. “Tokens. Now.”
Danny scrambled to exchange the money, handing over a stack of tokens. Croc shoved one into the machine and gripped the joystick with surprising delicacy for someone his size. The claw creaked as it descended toward the crocodile, wobbling slightly before clamping down on its tail.
For a brief, glorious moment, it looked like Croc might win. But then, as the claw ascended, the plushie slipped through its grasp and fell back into the pile.
Croc growled, his teeth bared. “It dropped it.”
“Yeah, uh…” Danny scratched the back of his neck. “It’s kind of a scam. The claw’s weak on purpose.”
Croc turned to him, narrowing his eyes. “Fix it.”
Danny held up his hands. “I can’t! It’s rigged by the manufacturer. But I can, uh, coach you?”
Croc stared at him for a long moment before nodding. “Fine. Teach me.”
Over the next hour, Danny coached Croc through countless attempts to snag the plushie. They tried angling the claw, timing the drop perfectly, even jiggling the joystick to get a better grip. Each time, the claw either missed entirely or dropped the crocodile just before it reached the prize chute.
“You’ve almost got it,” Danny said for the twelfth time, trying to sound encouraging as Croc jammed another token into the machine. “Just… a little more to the left.”
Croc’s tail twitched in frustration, but he followed Danny’s instructions. The claw descended, grabbed the crocodile by its snout, and finally—finally—dropped it into the chute.
Croc stared at the prize slot, his eyes wide with disbelief. Slowly, he reached in and pulled out the plushie, holding it like it was the most precious thing in the world.
“I got it,” Croc said, his voice softer than Danny had ever heard it. “I got Lil’ Croc.”
Danny blinked. “Lil’ Croc?”
Croc nodded, cradling the stuffed animal like a baby. “Yeah. Lil’ Croc.”
Danny suppressed a laugh. “Well, uh, congrats. You earned it.”
Word spread quickly among Gotham’s rogues that Killer Croc had a new companion. Wherever he went, Lil’ Croc went too. He carried it to meetings with Penguin, perched it on his shoulder during heists, and even set it on the table during card games at the Iceberg Lounge.
Penguin was baffled. “Is that… a toy?”
Croc growled. “He is Lil’ Croc. Say hi.”
Penguin blinked, unsure if Croc was joking. “Uh… hi?”
Scarecrow tilted his head, examining the plushie. “Psychologically fascinating,” he muttered. “A manifestation of suppressed nurturing instincts, perhaps?”
Harley Quinn thought it was adorable. “Aw, Croccy! You got a baby! Can I babysit?”
“No,” Croc said firmly, pulling Lil’ Croc closer.
Even Joker, who rarely cared about anyone else’s quirks, raised an eyebrow. “What’s next, Croc? Matching outfits?”
Croc bared his teeth. “You touch Lil’ Croc, and I’ll rip your arms off.”
A few days later, Croc returned to The Fun Zone with Lil’ Croc in tow. He set the plushie on the counter and stared at Danny.
“I need tokens,” Croc said. “For backup.”
Danny grinned, handing him a stack of tokens. “You’re really committed to this, huh?”
Croc nodded solemnly. “Lil’ Croc deserves friends.”
Danny watched as Croc lumbered back to the claw machine, his massive hands surprisingly gentle as he tried for a stuffed panda. Shaking his head, Danny turned to Jason, who had just walked out of the back office.
“What’s going on?” Jason asked, his gaze fixed on Croc.
Danny smirked. “Just Gotham’s best Fun Zone customer bonding with his new plushie family.”
Jason stared for a long moment before wiping his hands down his face and grumbling towards his office.
Danny chuckled watching his hard ass of a boss exasperated at the scene.

Hi, hope you're doing well!
I had to unfollow you/block a lpt of tags for a while until I beat datv but I'm so happy to be back. You're one of the first da blogs I followed, and I see you've gotten a lot of argumentative people at the moment, but I just want to say I think that you're great, and I appreciate the candid way you answer people.
Just a quick question, you said Taash's rivaini route had a lot of bullshit? I've just beaten the game for the first time and that was the route I chose so I was wondering if you could elaborate?
Thank you!
Disclaimer: A lot of this is written from a personal place. In no way am I trying to discredit anyone who feels differently. That even includes Trick Weekes, when it comes to the gender stuff at least. And please keep hatred of Taash out of this post; as I say in the end, I do still really enjoy Taash as a character!
The player first meets Taash when still identifying as a woman. However, Taash soon comes to realize they are not a woman; they are non-binary. While most of this answer will be quite critical of Taash’s story, there are positives I would like to acknowledge first. For example, I do think that the dialogue options surrounding the acceptance of Taash’s gender is fairly good. I like that you can be encouraging but not pushy about them exploring their identity further, when the topic first comes up. If you play as a non-binary character yourself, you are able to relate to Taash on a personal level, and provide them with a sense of kinship outside that which they seek from the Shadow Dragons, (who apparently double as both abolitionists and queer support group?) The game makes it clear that Taash’s gender is not just player-reactive; if the player chooses to avoid Taash’s personal questline, Taash still later on announces they are non-binary and use they/them pronouns now, with a game notification letting you know they went and embraced that with the help of Neve and Harding. And while some people have criticized the use of terms like non-binary as “not being fantasy enough” for their tastes, I personally think it’s perfectly fine to be overt like that, instead of dancing around the topic. I saw a post on a recommended Facebook page from some cis person who said they learned a lot about gender diversity because the game went out of the way to be so blatantly inclusive. Yes, there are a moments I can agree are kind of cringe, but lord knows there’s plenty of cringe in other regards as well with the writing, so it’s not like it’s exclusive to Taash’s gender writing. Overall, I think it’s a good exploration about someone stepping outside of a binary view of gender, except for one glaring problem: It is so very, very, white.
Trick Weekes, Taash’s writer, is non-binary themself, but they are also a settler living in the colonial project known as Canada. And that has very clearly influenced their perspective on how they think gender and culture works. With Taash’s writing for the Rivaini route, Weekes paints a picture that their gender journey must come at the sacrifice of their cultural identity, as if the two must be distinctive, separate things. What’s worse, is how binary the cultural identity aspect to Taash’s story is; ironic for a character who is supposed to be about stepping outside a box like that!
Not once, not twice, but three times, Rook is forced to choose to convince Taash if they should be Rivaini or Qunari. The first time, there is an option to say “why not both?” But that option is not present the second or third time the dialogue prompt comes up. The one that hurt me the most is when Taash is clearly having a breakdown over who they want to be vs. who they were raised to be, and the only way to try and console them is to make them pick a singular thing to identify as.
I also think it was a hugely missed opportunity, in choosing to have a bunch of Tevinter humans be Taash’s only source of learning about gender diversity. We know from codex entries that they talk to the Shadow Dragons about that topic, but apparently no one else? Why not have Taash consult a Rivaini Seer for advice, or hell, how about adding more qunari characters who aren’t just standard brutes to mash buttons against in a fight? So, in limiting the scope of this knowledge to just Tevinter humans, Taash is only getting more reinforcement that gender comes before any other cultural identity.
As a Two-Spirit person, I cannot stress enough that gender and culture do not exist in two separate vacuums. They can overlap and/or can be essentially under the same umbrella. So, when Weekes writes about Taash struggling with cultural identity and gender identity at the same time, I can understand that feeling so well. But I cannot understand the written approach Weekes takes. The message I received was “your gender is more important than your culture.” Which again, I must stress is such a white colonial idea of queerness.
I do really like Taash despite these shortcomings from Weekes, though. Just like how I really like Sera despite Kristjanson’s bullshit in Inquisition. I’m not about to hate on a character just because there are certain parts of their writing that I think should have been handled better, when there are more parts that are really fun about Taash. They are so refreshingly autistic-coded in a way that doesn’t punish them for being so, for example.

a penis is not a male organ any more than a nose is a female organ. body parts are not inherently gendered. if you feel like having a penis would make you feel more like a man that is perfectly fine, but not every person will feel that way. people of any gender can have or want a penis, including cis women.
and, you can rest assured that a cis woman would undoubtedly struggle to get covered by insurance as well. in fact, intersex cis women who want meta or phallo often have to claim to be transmasc in order for trans friendly doctors to be willing to perform surgery.
the struggles that trans men and transmascs face getting surgery are unjust and cruel, but denying others’ experiences and gatekeeping like this will not make those struggles go away.
(in case any of your followers know about these kinda stuff)
Can a cis woman get a phalloplasty simply because she wanted a peanits? Are there any records of that happening?
Good question!
Does anyone know?

Soft Dom Gamer!Venti x FEM!reader | contains: smut, stimulating clit, cockwarming, teasing, fucking, overstimulation.
| • I believe in soft dom Venti supremacy 🛐 I love him so much jwoalawioa
⋆⑅˚₊⸜ 🍃‧₊˚✩彡 ,, ₊˚🖇️✩
"Stop squirming, windblume.." Venti whispers into your ear, his hand gripping onto your thigh as you try your best not to squirm with effort.
His cock was painfully buried deep inside your wet heat.
"when are you even going to finish this game? It's almost an hour since I've been sitting here!" you whined softly, your hips wanting to move so badly. You can feel his cock twitching, wanting to be pleased.
His hand suddenly slipped down underneath your pants before going down to your underwear. Fingers brushing against your clit that never fails to make you shiver as you let out a soft whimper when he begins to circle motion your clit.
"inpatient now, are we?" he playfully inquired as he began to press soft kisses on your neck before sucking and biting on the skin.
"You have my full attention now, y/n."
You trembled slightly from the sensation along with the pleasure he's giving you down there, stimulating your clit while his cock was buried. You moaned quietly, trying to hide your moans and mewls.
Venti lets out a soft groan when he feels your walls tighten around him. He has the desire to just pin you down against his desk as he fucks you is growing thicker by seconds. But first, he wants to see how long you'll last by him rubbing your clit. Wanting to see you whine with those cute pearly tears while moaning messily.
He continued to rub his fingers, adding more pressure and speed. You arched your back from pleasure as you moaned shakily. "Feels so good— h-hangh.. please, don't stop." you moaned. You can feel yourself trembling almost violently when your clit has gotten more and more sensitive when he keeps going, making you squirm and gasp.
"venti, venti.., v-venti.." you chanted, telling him that you were so close.
The sound of your wetness that was coaxed on Venti's fingers created a rhythm. He hummed in a shaky tone as he placed his chin on your shoulder, kissing the shell of your ear and spoke. "You're doing so well, my precious windblume." he praises you in a soft tone.
You let out a strained moan as you finally release your orgasm, clenching around Venti's hardened buried shaft. You were shaking from ecstasy and pleasure.
Seeing and noticing your vulnerable and sensitive state. Venti slowly wrapped his arms around your waist and buried his head against the side of your neck, breathing heavily while kissing your shoulder. "I don't think I could hold myself back anymore.." he mumbles against your skin.
"can I fuck you now, please?" he inquired in a low needy tone as his eyes slowly gaze up to take a look on you. How could you not say no to this man? You love him every bit of him.
You gave him a firm nod as he didn't even waste any time to push himself off the chair while carrying you carefully, his dick still hasn't pulled out yet. Venti placed you down on the bed as he hovered on top of you before kissing you passionately. His tongue explored inside your mouth, swallowing your moans that were muffled.
Both of his hands slid down towards your thighs, spreading them more further as he let out a soft groan. He pulled away from the kiss. "Are you okay? Is this good?" he asks, making sure that you are comfortable.
"yeah, I'm fine.. don't worry about me." you replied and gave him a soft smile. "You can start."
Venti smiles down at you with a gentle like expression before placing a last kiss on your forehead. "Let me know if it hurts, okay?" he said as he began to buck his hips forward and backward repeatedly.
His thrust was slow at first as it eventually began to pick up in a fastened pace. Moans both escaped from your mouths as you held onto Venti's shoulder. The tip of his cock perfectly hits your g-spot, causing you to shut your eyes from the pleasure and love that you're receiving from your beloved boyfriend.
"shit, Y/n— you're taking me so well.." he hisses and praises with a soft loud moan escaping through his lips. His hips are stuttering and flinching.
"so fucking tight for me." he moans as he easily fastened the thrust of his hips. His dick easily slides in and out of you thanks to your wet and slimy slick, it made it easier for him to fuck you. Your trembling legs slowly wrapped around his hips, pulling him close.
His hands slipped down to your clit one again as he began to rub it once again. The pleasure was too intense for you, making you feel more overstimulated when he's already fucking while teasing your clit.
Your eyes were so teary as if you were crying while your body trembled violently underneath him. "Too much..!" you sobbed and whined in pleasure. Venti hushes you down with a heated mouthed kiss, hushing you down and distracting you. "Hushh, y-youre doing so well.." he mumbled against your mouth.
Getting closer to the edge. Your walls tightened around his shaft making Venti moan as he moved his face towards your neck, burying his face on the side of your neck. He can tell you were already close to cumming. "I'm c-cumming, my love.." he moans shakily.
With a few more thrusts. He finally came inside of your warm heat, filling you up with his warm seed as you mewled loudly against his shoulder while you released your own second orgasm.
Venti slightly raised his head up a bit, checking if you were okay while he caressed your cheek gently with his shaky hand. He then gave you a chaste kiss.
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Hall of Fame - RR
Roman reigns x oc Ciara
Smut 18+, fluff
"Ow shit" Ciara hissed moving her head away from Andre her hairstylist, rubbing her forehead where he burned her with the hot comb.
"Girl I told yo ass to stop moving" he said continuing to hot comb her hair.
"It’s not my fault you played Luther. You know that song gets me moving" Ciara slightly danced in her chair singing the lyrics.
"Exactly why you got burnt" Andre slapped her shoulder making her stop her movements mugging him.
Ciara was currently in her hotel room with her glam team getting ready to go with her husband to the WWE Hall of fame.
"How you feeing, Are you excited." Maria her personal Makeup Artist asked as she did Ciara’s makeup.
"Yes I am even though I know it’s gonna be a busy day, I’m happy I get to spend time with Joe. You know. I love our kids, but I really need me and him time right now. We’ve both been extremely busy him with wrestling and me with music, so I just wanna enjoy this weekend with him" Ciara smiled softly thinking about her husband. She loved him to death.
Both Andre and Maria let out a "awwh" making Ciara laugh.
"I know y’all gonna have some good fucking tonight. mhmm" Andre said nodding his head.
"I agree. No disrespect girl but your man is soo finee I know he be breaking your shit in" Maria spoke whistling.
"He do." Ciara spoke smirking and the other two let out whistles.
After an hour Ciara hair and makeup was done. Now her team was just smoothing down and fixing her dress.
Ciara was in-front of a full body mirror that was in the hotel room putting on her earrings, as a knocking sound was at the door. "Come in."
looking through the mirror she saw Joe walk in dressed in his all black suit with his hair back in a bun.
He came behind her standing a couple inches away as he took in how beautiful his wife looked. Her brown skin glowing, her hair up in a bun showing her insanely gorgeous face and her beautiful seductive eyes. And don’t get him started on the black dress that hugged her thick body perfectly. Ciara was always insanely thick but after having their kids she grew even thicker and he loved it.
Stepping closer he wrapped his arms around her waist from behind. Continuing just staring at her through the mirror still mesmerized.
"Why you staring like that?" Ciara softly spoke feeling shy under her husbands gaze.
"You look so beautiful Ci." Kissing her shoulder he slowly trailed light kisses up all the way to her neck . "So. So. So. Sooo beautiful" he kissed all over her neck making her giggle at the ticklish feeling of his beard.
"Thank you love, you look so handsome" slightly turning her head she puckered her lips wanting a kiss. Joe leaned down kissing her making sure not to ruin her lip combo.
Pulling away they both smiled. "I love you" Ciara spoke pecking his lips again. "I love you too baby" Joe leaned down giving her 2 more pecks.
"Why can’t I have love like that" Andre spoke quietly to Maria as he fake wiped his tears.
Joe and Ciara were now in their Limo heading towards the Hall of Fame.
Her head was resting against his shoulder careful so she didn’t mess up her bun.
"Oh I almost forgot" Joe spoke making her look towards him. He dug into his pocket before putting out a diamond necklace. Ciara’s eyes went wide seeing the beautiful jewelry. "Holy shit. Joe is that for me?"
"Noo it’s for the chauffeur" the sarcasm made Ciara playfully smack him as he smiled. "Turn your ass around so I can put it on you baby"
Listening she turned around as Joe placed the cold diamonds on Ciara clipping it. Taking her phone camera flipping it towards her she saw how the diamonds were glistening. "Ooooh not my man icing me out. Thank you boo" she said pecking his lips.
Having still a 15 minute drive Joe decided to quickly give his mom a ft call so they could check up on the kids real quick. "Hey ma we wanted to check up and talk to the kids real quick"
"Their good. Baby boy is right here with me. Say hi to mama and daddy Kayden"
"Ohhh hiii my sweet boy mommy misses you baby" Ciara cooed making Kayden smile trying to grab the phone.
"Where’s Kira and Jacob" Joe asked his mom. "Jacob is playing his game in the living room and Kira is with him. Here I’ll pass them the phone"
A smiled formed on both Joe and Ciara’s face seeing the excitement coming from their kids when they noticed their parents.
"Oh my gosh mommy you look so pretty" Kira gushed seeing her mother.
"Awhh thank you my sweet girl."
"What about me sweetie do I look pretty" Roman started playfully doing dramatic poses making their kids laugh.
After talking to them a bit more they said their goodbyes. "Okay mommy and daddy gotta go but you guys be good for your grandma okay. We love you"
"Love you too, byeee" the kids said before hanging up.
Ciara sighed leaning against Joes side her head on his chest. "We have really cute kids"
"Well of course we do their mother literally looks like a goddess"
"Nah it’s cause their daddy is this fine ass Greek god" she said looking up at him, already seeing that his eyes were set on her.
"Oh yeah?"
"Mhm" nodding her head, Joe leaned his head down, Slowly kissing her lips into a passionate kiss. The kiss got more heated by the second both of them completely forgetting where they were going.
"Hmm. Wait wait you gone fuck up my makeup boy" Ciara broke away grabbing her phone to check her face. Surprised at the fact her lips were perfectly fine just less glossy.
"Let’s just leave and go back to the hotel" Joe spoke kissing all around her upper shoulder.
"are you crazy? Your literally speaking tonight"
Sighing he pulled away leaning back "Fuck I forgot about that."
The car came to a stop as the sound of shouting and camera flashes were surrounding them. One of the security guards opened the car door as Joe stepped out before giving his hand to his wife helping her out.
Wrapping a protective arm around her waist he guided her inside inside towards the red carpet area.
They stepped up to the red carpet where all the paparazzi was. Joe wrapped his left arm around her lower waist as her body was slightly turned against him her left hand resting against his chest.
"ROMAN OVER HERE"
"CIARA LOOK ON YOUR LEFT "
"MR AND MRS REIGNS ON YOUR RIGHT"
After the pictures, they were now standing with one of the carpet interviewers.
"Well first I wanna start to say Roman and Ciara it’s such an honour to meet you both. Wow" as they both smiled nodding their head.
Wrapping up the interview Joe grabbed her hand taking her to the back where all the wrestlers were going to be.
"Oh my goddd you look gorgeous" Trinity ran up to Ciara pulling her into a tight hug.
"So do you!" she said grabbing her hand spinning her around.
She caught up and talk to a few people as some of them went into the stadium part to do their walk.
"You ready to go?"
"Yeah I am. Wait aren’t you doing ur speech?"
"Yes I am" Joe spoke as he smoothed down his suit. "So why would I walk out with you this is your moment"
"I don’t care your walking with me" grabbing her hand he went near the entrance as they waited for his music to hit.
When it did they walked down towards the stage hand in hand, as the whole arena threw up a one acknowledging him.
Getting to the stairs of the stage he placed a kiss on Ciara’s lips the crowd cheering loudly as he did. He walked up the stage as Ciara’s stood off to side where the others were sitting.
As he gave his speech Paul came out giving Joe a hug before he took over the stage speaking. Joes theme hit again walking to me taking my hand as we exited out.
It’s now 10 pm and they were at a little after party. Currently Ciara was dancing with Trinity, savelina and Bianca. She was slightly tipsy as she was sipping on her 5th glass of champagne.
Once the DJ started playing afrobeats her waist started whining immediately. Slowly she rotated her hips to the music.
She made eye contact with Joe who was standing off to the side at a table watching her with a smirk on his face. Bending down arching her back more she effortlessly made her ass move, making it move like water through her dress.
"Nah I gotta catch that" she heard Savelina say as she stood behind Ciara trying to catch her ass, making her stand up and laugh.
A few songs later and Ciara was now a little more than tipsy as she made her way to Joe. Spotting her he took one last sip of his drink putting it on the table as she wrapped her arms around him snuggling her face into his chest.
"You alright baby?" Kissing her forehead he wrapped his arms around her rubbing his left hand up and down her back.
"Yes I just wanna be in your skin" Joe chuckled at her words before looking at his cousins who were watching them in amusement.
"Yup. It’s time for us to go" Joe announced as he dapped up his cousins saying bye.
"Aight man y’all stay safe" Jey said
"don’t have too much fun kids" Jimmy clown ass spoke making Joe shake his head.
"Let’s go my love" He tried guiding her to the exit but she wasn’t budging. Joe knowing what she wanted grabbed the back of her thick thighs, lifting her up with ease.
As he walked them outside to their private Limo she randomly started caressing his face singing one of her songs to him. "You don’t know need no other body. Only you fi hold my bodyyyy"
"That’s right baby I’m glad you know” kissing her cheek she squealed making him laugh as he rounded the car.
Placing her in he shut the door going to the other side getting in.
Soon as he went in he was met with Ciara’s lips on his he made a moaning sound against her mouth surprised by the action.
She straddled his lap, his hands automatically moving to her ass gripping it before giving it a slap. "mhmm I need you Joe" she whimpered as her body began to get hot.
Her body craving and needing him.
"Me too baby I need your warm, wet pussy wrapped around my dick"
The two of them made out, their hands touching each other’s body in need. Joe pulled away as the car barley went to a stop, before he opened the door carrying Ciara who’s legs were wrapped around his waist tightly.
He walked at a fast pace towards the hotel entrance, all the way to the elevator doors not caring about the people that were there staring at them.
Once he pressed the button to the floor and the doors closed their lips met again. He hiked her body up higher his hands now holding her up by her ass that was over flowing in his hands. It’s like they were drunk off of each other.
They continued to make out slowly as he walked them to their door. Pulling away to find the keycard Joe dug in his pocket as Ciara made herself busy by sucking and licking Joes neck.
Finding the card the door unlocked. Walking into the large hotel room, Joe placed his wife on the king size bed, making her body bounce up and down softly.
Keeping his eyes on her she watched him take his suit off. Standing naked, he yanked her to the edge of the bed flipping her on her stomach, zipping her dress down.
He kissed down her back peeling the fabric off her body as the lower his kisses went down. Once her dress went past her ass he tenderly put open mouth kisses all over both cheeks, giving her little nibbles along the way.
Taking her dress fully off along with her thong that had a string of her sticky juices on it. he laid down on the bed with his head supported by a pillow.
"Come sit" his husky command filling the air.
"I can’t. I’ll suffocate you"
Grabbing her arm he yanked her towards him so her lower half was hovering his face. "Good"
Gripping her upper thighs he pulled her down so she was fully seated on his face. "Oh shit" Ciara whimpered as Joe’s tongue flicked at her sensitive bundle of nerves.
He hummed into her pussy loving the way she tasted. Wrapping his lips around her clit he sucked it into his mouth shaking his head from side to side.
Ciara let out a low scream trying to pull away as he ate her up as if he was starving. He pulled away slightly to get a breath in.
Looking down Ciara saw that his face was red from the lack of oxygen and how his hair was out and wild. His beard soaked and covered in his wife’s sticky n creamy juices.
Shooting her a wink he brought his face back to her pussy sucking her clit again. Brining two of his fingers up he inserted them into her, fingering her at a steady pace. "Ooooh fuck daddy I’m gonna cum"
Ciara rotated her hips feeling her orgasm approaching. "I feel it baby, come for me. Let me see that pretty pussy come in daddy’s mouth"
"Mhmmm fuck" Ciara came hard shaking on top of Joe’s face her juices splashing all over him as he greedily lapped up every drop.
Ciara came down from her high scooting down a bit. Now sitting in her husbands lap.
"Wanna see how good you taste baby?" Joe asked Ciara as she lazily nodded her head.
He brought his fingers back into her. Groaning at how tightly she wrapped around his fingers. Her mouth parted letting out a whine as he stroked her sensitive pussy.
Taking them out he brought his creamy fingers to her lips. wrapping her warm wet mouth around them slowly Ciara, bobbed her head up and down staring with her seductive eyes, as she sucked his fingers as if it was his dick.
"Your so fucking sexy" gripping her neck he pulled her into a passionate kiss, their tongues clashing as they both tasted Ciara off each other’s mouths.
Laying Ciara on her back, he sat on his knees. Spreading her legs before grabbing the base of his hardened dick guiding it to her entrance.
Slowly he sunk himself into her warm, soft, sticky walls. "Oh fuck, you feel so good" giving her slow deep strokes so she could feel every. Inch. Of. him.
"Mhmm…shit Joe I feel you"
"Yeah? Where you feel me?" Leaning down he captured her right nipple. Sucking it into his mouth.
Ciara let out a gasp at the combination of joe sucking her nipples and hitting that certain spot inside her. "Ooooh in my s-stomach. Fuck"
He continued his hard deep strokes before shifting his position. Getting back on his knees he threw Ciara’s right leg over his shoulder as the other was in the crook of his arm.
He felt his nut coming causing him speed up his strokes. "Fuck Ci I’m close, where you want it?"
"In me. put a baby in me daddy"
He smiled at her bold answer. Bringing his head down he captured his lips with hers. "You want a baby?" Ciara nodded a pout forming on her beautiful face as Joe’s dick was becoming too much for her to handle."
"Ima make sure you get pregnant tonight. Have you walk around with a swollen belly for the next nine months"
Ciara moaned at her husbands words feeling her second orgasm coming.
"Come with me baby. Come with me" he put his sweaty forehead against hers as both of them came.
"Awwh look at that. That’s baby number four" Joe let a chuckle as Ciara legs quivered. Pulling out he watched how his nut slowly spilled out her. "Nah put that shit right back in" he scooped up what spilled with his fingers putting them right back in her.
"Shit. Joe I’m sensitive"
Slapping her ass he got up standing at the edge of the bed. "Too bad. Now arch that shit, you said you wanted a baby, now that’s what ima give you" she let out a laugh/scream and he pulled her towards him.
After multiple rounds on the bed and some in the shower. Joe and Ciara were now cuddled up, their warm naked bodies under the sheets. Her laying on top of him as he was rubbing her ass lovingly.
"Do you think you actually got me pregnant?" Ciara asked tracing her finger along Joes tatted peck.
"100%. I’ll be surprised if you aren’t to be honest"
"Your crazy" she laughed pinching his tiny nipple playfully.
"Hey your the one who said. Put a baby in me daddy Ughh yess" he spoke mocking his wife’s moans.
Ciara looked at him in disbelief. "I can’t fucking stand you" giggling she tried getting off him but Joe didn’t let her. His left arm wrapped tightly around her waist as the right continued to massage her ass.
"Yo ass ain’t going anywhere" he spoke kissing her forehead making Ciara hum and snuggle in his chest.
Ciara felt her eyes close slightly as she began to doze off. "I love you Joe" she murmured against his chest feeling sleep take over.
"I love you too baby" he spoke as both of them eventually dozed off in each other’s arms.
