DRAGON ADOPTS!! Since July I've been working on a giant project, designing 81 dragons on a grid based on 9 different colors. Unfortunately, half of the files were lost when my tablet bricked. To replace it, I'm putting the few I could salvage up for sale!
The dragons on sheet 1 cost $15 each. I have a spreadsheet to keep track of availability, so check it out to see what's up for grabs! It'll be in a reblog! To purchase, you can DM me here or on discord @azikenn (or email [email protected]). I'll send the full res image after payment! (also 1G is $25 bc I'm attached to the design lol)
I could only get low res pictures of the dragons on sheet 2, so they only cost $5. I figured I may as well add them here so the work doesn't go to waste. For an extra $10, I'll redraw them at full resolution!
EDIT: I FOUND MORE :D

are you gonna do anything for kookie's birthday?? i know a lot of writers are and i was hoping you might be one of them :)
I don’t have anything, tbh, because I’ve been mostly working on my fic for the Love Yourself Collab (which you should def check out bc I know at least one or two have posted theirs and I’m so hype to read them!!) and the sequel to mechanic!joon from the poll a while back.
I will give you this crumb though, for everyone who read Chasing Butterflies and thoroughly enjoyed it the way I did.
“I just don’t get it,” Nayun says as she straps her pads on. Jisoo doesn’t react and Rose looks like she might actually kick your asses if you aren’t on the court in ten seconds. “What do you not get? Like what about this situation is confusing?” You ask. “I’m whipped for Jungkook, we been knew, and he’s apparently through some great act of mercy also whipped for me, and he’s bringing every single one of his nerd friends to the match today. Which isn’t at all nerve-wracking. Whatsoever.”
Jisoo rolls her eyes and tugs harder at your laces. She always does your laces, she’s the only one with the upper body strength to tie the things well. You think she might actually be moonlighting as a secret BDSM dominatrix just based on the way she handles them.
“No, I don’t get why you’re nervous. He’s seen you play before, didn’t he tell you that he tries to come to as many home games as possible? And his friends know nothing about the sport, they won’t know if you fuck it up.”
“Which you won’t,” Rose says from the door. "Because you’re good at this.”
“And because you’ll kill me if I fuck it up.” She doesn’t respond verbally, but the look she sends you radiates ‘yeah and what about it’ energy. “Look, I’m just...scared of disappointing his friends. He talks me up all the time apparently, and if they get bored or are unimpressed then...”
“What, you think he’s gonna break up with you?” Jisoo’s tone is teasing, but when she looks up to see the insecuirty on your face, she softens. “You put on a cosplay for him, and he’s liked you for almost as long as you’ve liked him. I don’t think he’s going anywhere.”
You just nod, tugging at the laces as she finishes tying them. Realistically, you know she’s right. It’s been a couple months since that night in your apartment, and things have only gotten better. He still comes to the coffee-shop to hang out with his dweeb friends, even if he does spend the time waiting for them talking to you now. He still watches his dumbass anime, thoroughly enjoying your flat-screen to do so, even if he gets consistently distracted by the way you lay in his lap. You talk about your practices that he knows a fair bit about because of some anime, he tells you about his nerd shit that you don’t understand but enjoy hearing about anyway, you help him with his essays and he helps you with Organic Chem, and you even buy him little cupcakes every time he gets a new comment on his fanfic. Things between you are good.
You have no reason to worry, you decide as you push out of the locker rooms and head to the court to get warmups started. You spot him, sitting with his group of friends beside where Jimin and Taehyung sit with the rest of the guys’ team to watch your game. Your boyfriend - your whole chest gets warms as you think it, and you let yourself bask in it for a minute because it took three fucking years to get - looks adorable today; big, round glasses, with that soft beanie and a softer looking shirt. It’s got some kind of weird pumpkin(?) on it, with a point and sharp teeth and the back has a scythe and you vaguely recognize it. You’re pretty sure he watched it at your apartment a few days ago, but you also had his dick in your mouth, so you weren’t paying much attention to anything else.
You wave back when he waves at you, big and excited and cute, and you’re once again hit with the urge to cover him in kisses while also maybe dangling him off a fifty-story building. His nose scrunches in that way you love and you ignore the way it has your stomach flipping.
Rose pelts a ball at you and you catch it on sheer instinct.
“Are you actually going to warm up or are you gonna be entirely useless today?” She asks. You glare at her and throw the ball back in response. If you didn’t have firsthand experience with how good she is, you’d wish she was your opponent so you could wipe the smirk off her face.
Warmups go well. The team you’re supposed to be playing is good, supposedly pretty well-matched to your own, and you’re excited to see if it holds true. They don’t look especially intimidating. The biggest threat seems to be their captain - which is true for your team as well, Rose is terrifying - and there are a couple girls milling around in jackets and over-shirts. One in particular catches your notice; as you look, you realize it’s because Jungkook has the same jacket. Black, with a big-ass Old-English-styled L on the back of it, and some kind of writing you can’t see on the front and can’t remember from Jungkook’s, small and in the corner where logos usually go.
You make a note to ask which anime that’s from, just to know in the future, and return to your warmups.
The game itself is...well, it’s challenging. The other teams is as well-practiced as yours, they’re balanced against you pretty well, and all of you are enjoying the competition almost as much as you’re frustrated that you aren’t getting anywhere. Their captain - a shorter girl with pretty eyes and dimples - is an absolute beast and Rose looks simultaneously enraged and turned on, and Weeb Girl has been blocking you at every turn. She volleys every serve you give, manages to block every spike without fail, and you can respect that she’s good at this, but you’re also really fucking frustrated.
It’s the end of the second set and both teams are ready for the ten minute break. You’re in the process of trying to drown yourself in your Gatorade bottle and really considering using the stuff to summon some kind of demon just so you can win the game, go home, stuff yourself with cheap burgers, and then fuck your boyfriend because you could tell from his face at one point that he was getting worked up watching you play, but before you can you catch sight of your friends whispering quietly to themselves.
It screams ‘hey we’re doing something really shady and don’t want you to know, maybe you should immediately storm over and find out what’s going on’ so you do exactly that.
“What the fuck do you mean ‘should we tell her?’“ You demand, keeping your voice as hushed as theirs. Nayun looks repentant and sorry, Jisoo actually literally makes the emoji face with the teeth, and Rose just purses her lips and gestures over her shoulder.
You really don’t know what you expect to see, but Jungkook hanging over the side of the bleachers to talk to Weeb Girl isn’t it. His eyes are crinkled at the corners like they do when he’s excited, his glasses are half-down his nose and in danger of falling off because you aren’t there to push them back up like he enjoys, and he’s gesturing happily to Weeb Girl. And she....she looks just as excited, twirling a piece of hair between her fingers and batting her lashes up at him as she says something else that makes him laugh. You can’t realistically hear it, it’s too crowded and noisy, but you feel it when he laughs, every time.
“We should call the police, she’s gonna kill her,” Jisoo says morbidly from behind you.
“No,” You respond, scoffing. Your eyes don’t draw away from where your boyfriend is talking to Weeb Girl. “No, I’m not. She can flirt all she wants, it’s fine. Yeah, she’s blocked me at every turn this game, yeah she’s kinda really pretty, and she definitely has the ass for those shorts, and she’s wearing weeb stuff that she’s probably interested in and can talk to him about, but it’s fine. I know Jungkook, he’s not gonna do anything. He’s a good guy.” And you mean it when you say it. If there’s one thing that you’re sure of in your relationship that isn’t Jungkook knowing random weeb stats, it’s that he’s loyal. You know it, deep in your bones.
You watch as Weeb Girl steps forward, cutting off whatever Jungkook’s saying to push his glasses up his nose, giggling as she does. Your fingers twitch because yes, that is your job, not hers, but it’s fine. It’s absolutely fine. Until her captain calls her back and she giggles again and waves, and Jungkook turns to sit and you see it. He’s got that pretty blush on his face, the one that tints his cheeks and makes him duck his head, the one you love so much but especially when you’re riding him and can get him to break out of the dominant persona he loves and turn pink with your words.
And you know that your boyfriend is loyal and sweet and wonderful, can tell by the way he searches for you and melts into a smile like the ice cream you’re pretty sure you forgot to put back in your freezer before you had to rush out to get to this game. But pushing his glasses up is your job and that is your blush and you aren’t about to let some weeb queen take it from you.
Rose looks pleased as you all take the court again. Jisoo looks convinced you’re gonna kill Weeb Girl, and you won’t lie; you’re definitely trying to see if you can will someone to set fire with only the power of your brain as you stare her down across the net. She looks entirely too pleased with herself and even dares to send a quick glance and a shy smile off at where you know Jungkook sits behind you, and you wish - not for the first time in your life - that you had Harry Potter powers and could just Crucio this fucker right now.
Alas, you’re gonna have to settle for slamming a volleyball into her face.
Nayun looks horrified at the sight, but you can tell Rose is holding back a smile even as the ref gives you a penalty that you willingly take. Weeb Girl looks pissed and also a little confused. Logically it’s not her fault that she chose to flirt with your weeb; and you can’t even fault her for it, because he’s gorgeous and sweet and perfect, but god damn what a day to do it.
Throughout the rest of the third set, you’re basically unstoppable. You score three times on her, and you take a sick pleasure in the bruise that’s already forming under her eye. Her entire team looks confused, and you are too, because none of you are sure of where this sudden burst of skill and fury is coming from, but you’re determined to ride it out for as long as it lasts.
When the game’s over, your entire team crowds you to celebrate. You’re a good player, you don’t have any allusions to that, but you’re also pretty much just reliably good. You’ve never played like that, not in your entire life, and you’re thriving with the knowledge that you even can.
When they finally back up, you bolt before they can throw Gatorade on you, already climbing the stands. Jimin laughs as you shove him to the side, and you decide to feel guilty about the way he almost falls later, because right now you’re on a mission. You straddle the stand and fist one hand in Jungkook’s shirt, pulling him into a heated kiss that he doesn’t hesitate to return. In seconds you’re almost on his lap, one of his hands gripping your jaw so he lick into your mouth the way he likes while your free hand tangles in his hair. When you eventually pull back, he settles soft kisses along your jaw and you take great pride in looking straight at Weeb Girl. She doesn’t look mad, exactly; more resigned and slightly impressed, and you send her a wink that makes her roll her eyes.
“Hey,” You whisper to Jungkook. He detaches himself from the mark he was determined to make behind your ear, and you revel in the blush on his face. It spreads across his face and along to the tips of his ears, and you want nothing more to than to make is spread further. “You wanna go put on some Haikyuu and break in your new mattress?”
You don’t think you’ve ever left a game that fast in your life.

I love making costumes but I always feel bad about my skill level being far below everyone else’s. Even though I love making costumes they never look good quality. Any advice?
It's easier to answer specific questions about a project vs. a general "how to be good”, but I'm gonna give it my best shot.
First off, go easy on yourself, you're learning! I know I'm still learning. Hell, the seasoned pro of 3 decades is still learning! Every fuck up and mediocrity is a step of improvement. I won't tell you that practice makes perfect, because it doesn't. It will make you better, great even. But it won't make you perfect. No one ever achieves perfection. And that's okay! Literally every single piece I've ever made has multiples elements I would change if i could. Even the ones that look good, like the now-popular moth cape. I will do lots of things differently when i make my next one.
Also, I know from experience how hard it is to avoid comparing yourself to others, especially online. So when we (inevitably) do, I think it's important to remember that there can be a BIG difference between in person and photos. That cool looking cosplay armour? Upon closer inspection it might be held together by hot glue. That pretty formal gown? It might have a real shitty fraying seam down the back. All we see is a carefully curated version of reality.
It's hard offering practical tips without more info to go on, but hopefully some of this will help. I think what makes a good looking costume can be broken down into 4 basic elements, so here’s what I think are the most important things to consider
Design: This is the part that people seem to have the easiest time with, and I can help the least with. Coming up with the idea. And when you’re costuming just for the pure enjoyment of it, there are no bad ideas! Now everyone approaches this differently, whether it's sketches, moodboards, or diagrams. Unless someone else is executing the concept, it doesn't even need to look remotely good! As long as you understand what the design is supposed to be, it works.
I will say to design with practical considerations in mind though. Think about where, how, and why it will be worn. Plan for things like zippers and buttons to get in and out, the weather where it will be worn, how much movement will be required, etc. You don’t want to end up sweaty and stuck in a polyester bodysuit that can only be opened with the help of two assistants in say, an outdoor summer event in LA.
Materials: This can be tricky, because it’s dependant on your resources. Materials are expensive, and quality ones even more so. But researching options and picking the best fit for your project is important. Making a historical piece? Stick to natural fibers. Cosplaying a superhero? You're gonna need spandex.
If you're short on funds, going through second hand stores can be real handy. Bigger ones will sometimes have actual yardage, but you can find sheets, curtains, saris, and all sorts of things to take apart and use. Get familiar with the properties and names of different textiles. You'll eventually develop a skill for spotting the nice stuff.
More specialized tools/materials like say fosshape or sewing machine attachments are harder to stumble across, but there will be online sales. If i find something good for cheap I buy it and hang onto it for later projects. If possible, take advantage of sales and rare finds while you can. You're a dragon and materials are your hoard!
Construction: Obviously you want your costume to be well-made, but this means knowing and mastering different techniques. It's a slow process, but one everyone is capable of undetaking! Firstly, you need to familiarize yourself with technical terms to make finding the actual tutorials easier. One of my go-to resources for this is The Sewing Book, by Reader's Digest. (There’s also a newer version available, I’ll include it below). It covers a wide variety of techniques, materials, etc. and has fantastic diagrams. Can’t recommend it enough
Companies that sell specialized stuff like thermoplastics or casting resin often have tutorials on their websites which can be indispensable to learning to use them properly. As well as very important safety precautions. They will also sometimes list external how-to sources or sell instructional books.
Take a close look at clothes and costumes you own to understand how they are put together. Figure out what techniques are appropriate to use where. A flat fell seam is great for jeans and french seam is perfect for chiffon, but try the reverse and it will be a pain. Take pictures and make sketches of interesting details that catch your eye. You can come back to them for ideas later.
I try and incorporate at least 1 new technique into every project I make, that way I'm always learning. But don't jump straight to trying it out on the final piece! Always make a sample (or several) beforehand. And keep the samples for later reference! I'm trying to amass a big scrapbook-style binder of samples, which is sooo so handy to come back to when it's been a while since you've done something.
Fit: This is the final, and possibly most difficult element of costuming. No matter how cool the design, how fancy the materials, and how good the construction, if something doesn’t fit right it’s going to look and feel wrong. Most of us here are making costumes for ourselves, which means you're going to need help. Measuring and fitting clothes on yourself is a nightmare, so enlist a friend or family member to give you a hand.
The other thing you can do it is to get a dress form/mannequin. These are pricey, and will probably need to be customized with padding and such anyways, so I recommend you DIY it. Again, you will need a helper, because the easiest way to get a custom dress form it to just straight up duct tape yourself into a crappy old shirt, cut it off, then stuff it. There’s tons of tutorials online for this, it’s a tried and true cheap method.
I highly recommend learning some basic pattern drafting, and that’s honestly the hardest part. You can rely on store bought patterns, but they are extremely variable in quality, and unless you’re in the rare minority who are a sample size, it will need some altering to fit you right. They can be a good starting point, but ultimately I think pattern drafting from scratch is much faster and more adaptable, if you're able to learn it. This is where you will need some good books or video instructions. I don’t have one single resource to recommend for this, but I will list some books at the end. If you personally know ANYONE with this skill, try and get them to teach you everything they know, because they are worth their weight on gold.
It’s important to note that some pattern drafting is easier than others, Stretch fabrics are MUCH more forgiving in this area, and that’s how i got started. Because the fabric will accommodate your form, the pattern requires fewer parts and darts, and there’s more leeway for mistakes. The one downside is that stretches can be more difficult to sew. Personally, I feel like they more than make up for it by being simplicity of drafting. The resources I’ve linked are geared toward drafting for non-stretch, but if you’re not following a similar tutorial i recommend stretch.
One last thing in regards to fit. ALWAYS MAKE A MOCKUP. You can work out so many fit issues just by making your costume in crappy material first, taking note of the fit issues, and adjusting them with pins, marking them with a sharpie, etc. Then you can change your pattern accordingly. Whether it’s a breastplate made of cardstock or a dress done in old sheets, you should always make a mockup. Sometimes several! The material doesn’t matter as long as it behaves roughly like the good stuff you plan on using. Don’t use a heavy blanket for if your costume is going to be a gauzy nymph robe, for example. But it doesn’t have to look nice. It just has to be wearable.
Resources:
*These are mostly tailored towards women’s garments. A lot of the same principles apply, but making men’s costumes will have some separate considerations not covered here. Just something to keep in mind if you want to draft for guys. These are all just starting points anyhow. There’s tons more out there

5e Sett the Boss build (League of Legends)
Tumblr media
(Artwork by Riot Games)
Moshi moshi, bossu?
Sett is the latest “Opee Opee” on the Rift (mostly because Rito won’t fucking nerf his damage yet like Jesus Christ how is a reduction to his armor by 3 going to stop him?) but after the complete OMGWTFBBQ that was Aphelios a simple champion was a nice change of pace. With a Q that punches people, a W that punches people, an E that punches people, and an R that pile-drives people it’s nice to have a new, fun, easy difficulty champion to vary the top lane a little.
Helps that he’s a furry anime boy who’s voiced by DIO.

Tumblr media
GOALS
ORA ORA ORA ORA - We need to punch hard and punch... not as fast as Star Platinum, but still fast enough.
He’s immortal! Unkillable! Unmatched! - Sett can survive in a fight with high durability and Grit for days.
RODA ROLLA-DA - Sett’s only ability that isn’t a punch is his ultimate, which lets him grab someone and throw them around.
RACE
Sett is a half-Vastaya and Shifter is perfect for a half-beast who wants to get their wild side on. You get 60 feet of Darkvision and your Shifting feature which gives you temporary health equal to your level and your constitution modifier and an additional effect tied to your subrace. While most of the subraces could work Beasthide is perfect for a pit-fighting boss: you get proficiency with Athletics and an increase to both your Constitution (+2) and Strength (+1). In addition you gain an extra d6 hitpoints when you shift, and your AC increases by 1 during that time.
ON OTHER SHIFTERS:
Longtooth gives you a bite attack to use with your bonus action while shifted. The bite is useful to get more damage output but sadly isn’t in character.
Swiftstride lets you float like a butterfly, but Sett is much more the “sting like a bee” type.
Wildhunt makes it impossible for your enemies to get a cheap-shot in while you’re shifted, but we don’t need the stats and virtually every other Shifter is more useful to us.
ABILITY SCORES
15; CONSTITUTION - To be the boss you’ve gotta be able to take a punch. Remember that it's not about how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
14; DEXTERITY - To survive in the fight pits you’ve gotta float like a butterfly. Also our race will bump our Strength to a 14 and I don’t like odd numbers. Wait then why is our Constitution going to be a 17...?
13; STRENGTH - Sett certainly stings a lot harder than a bee, packing a whopping left hook that can send a blind monk flying.
12; CHARISMA - You don’t get to call yourself “the boss” without having people like you... just be sure not to sell any drugs.
10; WISDOM - Sett’s mama taught him some wise words but he’s still a hot head at times.
8; INTELLIGENCE - You’ve been hit by as many Facebreakers as you’ve received; I doubt you even know how many anymore.
BACKGROUND
While you keep away from the Noxian gladiatorial pits the underground fight ring makes you a Gladiator in your own right. You get proficiency with Acrobatics and Performance to let you style as you slam dunk your foes. You also gain proficiency with a Disguise Kit and a musical instrument of your choice, both of which aren’t too in-character but are still great to have.
But most importantly you get the By Popular Demand feature. This lets you find the local fight ring and get in a brawl for the entertainment of the people. You get paid with food and a place to stay, and the people will treat you like a proper celebrity!
But most importantly you get a costume in your starting equipment, meaning that you can dress fancy with pressed pants and a fur coat on your bare chest.
Tumblr media
(YOU WERE EXPECTING OFFICIAL ARTWORK BUT IT WAS ME; SETT! Artwork by @victorli_ran on Twitter.)
LEVEL 1 - FIGHTER 1
Starting out as a Fighter you get proficiency in two skills from their list: take Intimidation and Survival to be the lion in the pit of wolves. You also get Second Wind for some pit grit to restore hit points equal to a d10 plus your level in Fighter once per rest.
But most importantly we get a Fighting Style, and we’re starting with Fighter so that we can get our punching on. Unarmed Fighting lets you use your fists to fight and do a d6 of damage. If both fists are free you can increase that damage to a d8 - grab a chair or something similar to use as a shield but you do your real damage with your left hook. Additionally if you grapple someone you do a d4 damage to them, and can do an extra d4 whenever you hit them while they’re grappled. Pin them to the ground and beat the stuffing out of them until the ref rings the bell. Then beat them some more!
LEVEL 2 - BARBARIAN 1
Quickly jumping to Barbarian for Unarmored Defense equal to your Dexterity plus your Constitution. Currently your unarmored AC is 1 less than you would have if you had chain mail but you can’t wear Heavy Armor if you want to Rage. While raging you have advantage on Strength checks and saving throws (including grapples.) You can also do extra damage with strength weapons (such as your fists) and have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. Your rage lasts for 1 minute but ends early if you spend a turn where you don’t hit someone or get hit, or if you’re knocked down. You can rage twice before needing to long rest.
LEVEL 3 - FIGHTER 2
Going back to Fighter you get Action Surge, letting you take one additional action on your turn before needing to rest. Sneak a good right hook in after hitting them with the left.
LEVEL 4 - FIGHTER 3
3rd level Fighters can choose their martial archetype and Champions are masters of the ring. They get Improved Critical which lets them crit on a 19 or a 20, effectively doubling your crit chance. Who says you can’t build an Infinity Edge?
Why Champion? - The main reason for the Champion subclass for the level 18 subclass feature. Champion is a perfectly viable subclass but it’s not exactly an interesting one. Battle Master is a lot more exciting and if you’re not going to reach level 20 I’d honestly recommend it over Champion. After posting this build I’ll make an errata for this build with Battle Master over Champion.
LEVEL 5 - FIGHTER 4
Grabbing the 4th level in Fighter for an Ability Score Improvement, or rather a Feat. Since Shifter is from Eberron I expect you to have access to the Aberrant Dragonmark feat.
You increase your Constitution by 1 to make it a nice, even 18. You also learn one cantrip and one level 1 spell from the Sorcerer spell list. Your spellcasting modifier for these spells is Constitution (not Charisma!) and you can cast the leveled spell once before taking a short or long rest. Your cantrip doesn’t really matter (if you want to be efficient I’d recommend taking a ranged attacking cantrip) but for the spell take False Life for more Pit Grit. You gain 1d4 + 4 temporary hit points for 1 hour which go away when the hour is up or if they get hit out of you.
In addition when you cast False Life you can roll one of your hit die - I’d recommend rolling your Barbarian die for higher potential rolls. If you roll an even number you gain temporary hit points equal to the number rolled, and I’d argue that this health stacks with False Life. If you roll an odd number a random creature within 30 feet other than you takes force damage equal to the number rolled, but if no other creatures are in range you take the damage instead. Your rage can sometimes be dangerous but if you keep your cool you can grit down and take more hits.
On Greater Aberrant Powers: Getting this feat early is always useful but if your DM is using this rule it’s extremely helpful. After level 10 you have a 10% chance to get an Epic Boon, which can give you the upper hand in a fight that no one else can. When it happens your hitpoint maximum is reduced by a roll on your hit die plus your constitution, so I’d recommend rolling your Fighter hit die so you lose less health. You also lose that hit die permanently, and it can’t be restored through any means. The trade of a hit die for an Epic Boon is more than worth it though, so get excited if some greater powers manifest!
LEVEL 6 - BARBARIAN 2
Grabbing a second level in Barbarian for Reckless Attack. When you punch you can choose to give yourself Advantage on all attacks on the turn but all enemies will have Advantage when attacking you. With Improved Critical you have about a 20% chance to crit if you have Advantage, so you can knock your opponent out before they hit you.
Speaking of Advantage, Danger Sense gives you Advantage to Dexterity saving throws against effects you can see. You’re not magic but if you see a punch headed your way you know to duck.
Tumblr media
(Artwork by @victorli_ran on Twitter.)
LEVEL 7 - FIGHTER 5
Guess what boys it’s a straight track through Champion Fighter now. Level 5 Champions get an Extra Attack, so you can hit them with a left hook and a right punch.
LEVEL 8 - FIGHTER 6
6th level Fighters get another Ability Score Improvement and we’ll cap off our Constitution for maximum pit grit.
LEVEL 9 - FIGHTER 7
7th level Champions get Remarkable Athlete, letting them add half their proficiency bonus to any Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution check they don’t have proficiency with. You already have proficiency with STR and CON saves as well as Acrobatics, but this will let you add half your proficiency to Stealth and Slight of Hand checks.
LEVEL 10 - FIGHTER 8
8th level Fighters get another Ability Score Improvement and it’s time to increase our Strength for harder punches.
LEVEL 11 - FIGHTER 9
9th level Fighters get Indomitable, letting them reroll a saving throw once before taking a long rest. If you fail a Strength or Constitution check this should be enough to save it, and if you need it for a Dexterity check you effectively get three total rolls for the save.
LEVEL 12 - FIGHTER 10
10th level Champions get an Additional Fighting Style but unfortunately most of these rely on us using weapons and armor. Since you’re using your fists your best option would be a way to grab your opponents: the Superior Technique fighting style from the Class Feature Variants UA gives you a d6 Superiority Dice to use on a Battle Master Maneuver which comes back on a short or long rest.
You also learn one Battle Master Maneuver and Restraining Strike from the same Class Features UA will let you grab someone for the Ultimate Show Stopper! After hitting a creature with a weapon attack you can use your bonus action to attempt to grapple them. You roll your Superiority Dice and add the number rolled to the grapple check, further increasing the chance that you make the grab. "GOIN' FOR A RIDE!"

LEVEL 13 - FIGHTER 11
11th level Fighters get a third Extra Attack, so you can sneak another left after your right. Or alternatively you can Action Surge for 6 attacks in a turn!
LEVEL 14 - FIGHTER 12
12th level Fighters get another Ability Score Improvement and we’ll continue increasing Strength to punch harder, better, faster, and stronger.
LEVEL 15 - FIGHTER 13
13th level Fighters get another use of Indomitable. Man that’s a hard word to spell... that’s all I’ve got.
LEVEL 16 - FIGHTER 14
14th level Fighters get another Ability Score Improvement, so max out your Strength for maximum punching action.
LEVEL 17 - FIGHTER 15
15th level Champions crit on an 18, 19, or 20 thanks to Superior Critical. If you give yourself Advantage with Reckless Attack you have a little less than a 30% chance to crit, and over the span of 3 attacks you have a 37.7% chance of not at least getting one crit if they all have Advantage. With that many attacks you’ve gotta hit something vital!
LEVEL 18 - FIGHTER 16
16th level Fighters get the last Ability Score Improvement of this build and now that we have maxed out Strength it’s time to improve our grapples. The Grappler feat gives you Advantage on attack rolls against a target that you are grappling and also allows you to use your action to pin your grapple target, restraining them until the grapple ends. Unfortunately you can’t pick them up and drop them on the enemy ADC but you can certainly drop them to the ground and wail on them.
NOTE ABOUT GRAPPLES: Grappling is in-flavor for Sett but isn’t very practical in 5e. If you want something more useful the Tough feat will give you an additional 36 health at this level, and a total of 40 extra health once you reach level 20.
LEVEL 19 - FIGHTER 17
At level 17 Fighters get another use of Action Surge and a third use of Indomitable. This means more attacks and less chance to fail when being attacked which overall means more time as the boss of the ring.
LEVEL 20 - FIGHTER 18
18th level Champions finally get some Pit Grit thanks to Survivor. At the start of every turn you regenerate health equal to 5 plus your Constitution modifier, which is +5 so you regenerate 10 health per turn total. This health regen only works if you’re below half health but not if you’re at 0; regardless you have the endurance to tough-out a fight no matter the odds.
FINAL BUILD
PROS
DORA RA RA RA RA - You can throw many hard-hitting punches: 3 per turn and up to 6 if you use Action Surge. Not only that but with Superior Critical and Reckless Attack there is a very high likelihood that you’ll crit with your attacks for double damage.
I CAN beat the shit out of you - Even if you’re unarmed you can still fight, requiring nothing but your two fists and your raw muscle. This means that even if your allies are stripped bare you can still defend them on your own.
Diamond is Unbreakable - You are insanely tanky. A maxed out Constitution with Fighter levels leads to easily over 200 health, and you can reduce incoming weapon damage with Rage and keep yourself in the fight with both Shifting and False Life giving you Temporary Hitpoints.
CONS
10 Meter Range - Unless you took a ranged damage cantrip with your Dragonmark you have no options to fight outside of melee range. It’s fair enough since Sett is a melee fighter, but like most Juggernauts the way to counter him is to just keep away from him. Considering that you have a 30 foot movement speed that’s incredibly easy to do.
Magician’s Red - All your damage is physical bludgeoning with your fists, so unless your DM gives you some magic knuckledusters you won’t be bypassing magic resistance anytime soon. What’s more is that our saving throws for everything other than Strength and Constitution are awful and while Danger Sense can help with DEX saves Indomitable can only help so much when you have at best a +1 or at worst a -1 to a saving throw.
MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA - A lot of the options taken in this build are done entirely for flavor. Even if Rages are nice so are 4 attacks, and the Unarmored Defense is more of a cosmetic feature since plate mail would get the job done just as well. Probably the biggest issue is that Grappling as a whole in 5e is USELESS USELESS USELESS USELESS, meaning that our secondary Fighting style and pick up of the Grappler feat end up going to waste. But with that being said I know most campaigns don’t go to level 20 anyways and at earlier levels this build is more than serviceable; it’s only at later levels that the weird choices start to come into play.
But that only matters if you’re fighting a war and you’re fighting in the pits. The rules are different in the pits: no weapons, fox-men only - it’s the final destination. You’re the boss of the ring and you can strike down all who oppose you. But if you hear someone playing the piano as some blond Japanese-Italian kid approaches you; run.

Well, this is a long, LONG time coming.  Updated b io under the cut
Name: Gambit the Weasel
Age: 24
Occupation: Mercenary, though technically he’s more of a hitman than anything
Continuity: Post-reboot Archie Sonic, though he can work in  the main Sonic verse as well.
Location: Empire City (Born in Empire City, but moved to Westopolis with his birth father at around a year old)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Species: Weasel (African Black-footed Weasel is the main design inspiration)
Sexuality: Bisexual leaning more towards men
Personality: Cynical, jaded; an absolute fucking pessmist, always seeing the worst in everything and everyone. Is an absolute shit-stirrer, and will actively antagonize people for shits and giggles. He’s got a real big mouth and will freely and openly speak his mind to anyone, regardless of who or what they are. He loves banter, and will banter with just about anyone on just about anything. He’s always got a comeback or a snarky one-liner for any given situation, you cannot shut this man up.   Generally emotionally detached from most people and events, which lends itself to an incredibly dark sense of humor.  Also a very “shoot first, ask questions later” sort of person. Cocky, stubborn, and just an all around asshole, Gambit’s not really the kind of guy most people would want to be around, much less befriend.
Skills:  Gambit is incredibly accurate with his revolver, seemingly able to pull off near impossible shots when the occasion calls for it, and in general is able to make just about every bullet count.  This is helped by his impeccable quick draw ability, making him able to draw his gun and fire in the blink of an eye.
Gambit’s power is luck manipulation, signified by his eyes taking on an intense glow. This power enables him to turn the odds in his favor, sometimes to insane degrees; however, it requires his concentration or it will deactivate. When the situation is life or death, though, his powers will kick in on their own - when this happens, his powers short out and become unusable for a short time after.
Gambit is also impeccably good at games of luck, especially blackjack. Even without his powers backing him up, he can make an absolute killing at the blackjack table, or even something like the slots, although he has gotten kicked from casinos before due to his luck powers letting him “cheat” .
He can be rather charismatic if he wants to be, letting him seduce people or even get information out of others, though more often than not his big mouth and inclination towards antagonism betrays him. Well, that and his stench because he smells BAD
Hobbies: Hobbies: Drinking, gambling, smoking cigarettes and sleeping around are his vices, with alcoholism and gambling outright addictions he has. Gambit’s preferred beverage is beer, though he’s also partial to rum and whiskey. He drinks several times a day, becoming irritable and suffering withdrawal when he goes sober for more than a day.
His gambling addiction is where he sinks most of his money, alongside the booze. He will spend hours at the blackjack, roulette or poker tables. He often wins big due to his luck powers, but gets cocky, neglecting to keep up the act and losing out. Many times he is simply thrown out of casinos, most often for starting fights or cheating.
The other things Gambit typically blows his earnings on are ammo for his signature revolver, and cigarettes. Due to his vices and the need for ammo to do his job, he doesn’t always have enough cash left over to afford a pack. When he can, he goes through one or two packs in a day; so, more often than not, he has to bum a cigarette off of someone else.
Gambit is never seen without his trusty revolver; modeled after a S&W 44 magnum, it’s the most valuable item he owns. He treasures the gun above all else, going so far as to have gotten a custom engraving.
Gambit sleeps around, and does so often. While he is bi, he has a preference for men.  He is far from picky, however; his standards are low. If he’s not antagonizing someone, he’s flirting with them, trying to get them either to a cheap motel or back to their place for a few rounds. He never sticks around after, bailing shortly after he got what he came for. Gambit is nigh impossible to commit to a relationship, and will have flings with multiple people a night when given the opportunity. He is, for all intents and purposes, a slut in every sense of the word. Emotional intimacy? Never heard of her.
Fears: He doesn’t fear much, though deep down, he does fear betrayal, which feeds into his complex about trusting people.
Flaws: Gambit’s morality is almost nonexistent, his apathy lending itself to him taking on jobs others may deem too damning. Much like in gambling, his hubris can be his downfall while on the job; he sometimes gets too cocky, counting his chickens before they hatch, and can wind up blowing the contract. He is also at the mercy of his vices, the expenses of which have him living on the streets without food or shelter, often sleeping in the city’s many alleyways and rummaging for food in restaurant dumpsters. Naturally, he smells like garbage. But his biggest flaw, above all else, is his complex about trust. Gambit doesn’t trust anyone or anything outside of himself to the point of paranoia.  He outright rejects the idea of joining a gang or teaming up with someone because he’s always anticipating the moment when they turn on him. His past experiences with partnerships have only made this worse. It is why he leaves someone after banging them, it is a huge reason as to why he’s emotionally detached from people, and it is the biggest reason as to why he seemingly cannot form any meaningful relationships with anyone or anything.
Physical appearance: Gambit is 3′5, making him slightly taller than Sonic. He’s rather lanky and lithe, there isn’t much meat on those bones. He’s got crimson eyes that take on a distinct glow whenever his powers are active.  He’s got a few scars, with his most prominent one being a chunk ripped off of his right ear. His fashion sense leans towards classier attire with influences from the styles of the 1920s. Akin to his typical outfit pictured in the ref, he usually goes for suit+pants combos. He doesn’t wear vibrant colors often, though he’s not opposed to the idea; he does typically stick to greys, white and/or black for most occasions.
Bio: Gambit was an accident; the result of a careless fling between a corrupt politician and the unfortunate conman who thought he could blackmail her. When the situation wound up with Artemis getting pregnant, she was forced to carry the child to term due to fear of tarnishing her reputation. Artemis forced the child’s father to play along the role of her husband, faking a happy expecting family for the press. Once the baby was born, he was given the name Tai, and he and his father were moved from the public eye. Artemis told the public it was because she wanted to keep her family safe from the stress and exposure her career would bring, but behind closed doors, her plans for her new “family” were much more sinister.
Artemis, in her desperation to rid herself of the problem she created, and stumbled upon Empire City’s darkest truth: the Underground, a sprawling, far-reaching network of criminals, mercenaries and hitmen hidden in plain sight. It was there she would find the solution to her problem, forging a contract that would solve all her problems. It was the perfect crime - Artemis would leave the city on a “business trip”, and during her absence, someone would break into her home and murder her husband and child. The public would eat it up, bless their hearts, and Artemis, the victim, would stay strong in the face of tragedy, boosting her ratings.
Of course, things so seldom go as one plans. Artemis left on her trip, but when the hitman came for the boy and his father, Tai’s powers kicked in. The gun jammed, and his father took the opportunity to take down the would-be assassin. Tai’s father, piecing two and two together, grabbed the young boy and fled out of the city, to Westopolis. Artemis returned to the city, and by that time, the Underground had cleared out the hitman’s body. With the father and son nowhere to be seen, Artemis was told the job had gone off without a hitch, that they had been killed and just like that, all her problems were gone.
Once Tai and his father were in Westopolis, they lived in utter squalor, barely supporting themselves off of what meager money his father could scrape up with his “trade”. Tai’s father was a very angry man at this point, drowning himself in alcohol,  constantly screaming and ranting about how the world is full of bastards, how you can trust nobody and how there is nothing good in this world,  and often beating and shouting at  the young weasel,  blaming him for his current circumstances. He barely even fed the young boy, forcing Tai to live off of what meager scrap were left from his father’ meals, and whatever food or water he could manage to sneak  away for himself.
The young boy lived like this until he was around 8 years old, when his dad went out for a drink one night and never came back. Several days passed, and the weasel desperately scrounged around the house for what little food he could find, waiting for his dad to come home. Soon, someone did come through those doors, but it was not his father, but instead the cops, investigating his father’s death. They simply told him his father was dead and that he had to come with them.  Tai, who at this point had the message of “don’t trust anyone” figuratively and literally beat into him, instead chose to run away, with the cops not even bothering to give chase. “Less paperwork” they said.
From there, the boy lived on the streets, scrounging by on what little food and water he could find, sleeping in alleyway and most of all, avoiding anyone and everyone he could. “Don’t trust anyone, don’t bother anyone, keep your head down low and out of sight, out of mind” are the words that he lived by, the words that were literally beaten into him. And so he lived like this up until he was around 10 or 11 years old, when everything changed.
A local low level gangster, looking to obtain power and prestige within his organization, stumbled across the young Tai. Soon realizing that the young, wide eyed boy could serve as a valuable bargaining chip, decided to try and take him under his wing, and after several attempts, Tai went home with the man.  For the first time in his life, Tai lived in an honest to god home. He got served three meals a day, he had actual clothes , there were things to do here other than scrounge for food and stare at the walls.  He even got a new name: Gambit
But all was not well. The man intended to use Gambit as a tool, a bargaining chip, and that he very much did. The young boy was passed around to other gangsters, mobsters, lowlife scum, who did unsavory things to the young weasel, who had these fake smiles, comforting words that did the exact opposite,  had touches that lingered too long in bad places, who told him things he had never heard of and  talked about him in ways he didn’t understand. These made the weasel’s skin crawl, it made him feel wrong and dirty, but his “father” assured him that this was all normal, this was how the world worked.
As the boy grew, so did his knowledge of the world he had been swept into. The man taught Gambit everything: he taught him how to shoot, how to gamble, drink, eat good food, survive,  to indulge in the “good things in life”, to use his powers, and again, he hammered home a single, central message: “Don’t trust anyone. Don’t trust anything, the entire world is out for ya.”  The growing weasel internalized all of this. Soon, Gambit began to imitate his old man: his mannerisms, his way of speaking, his worldview, even his jokes. Gambit followed his old man in every sense of the world, completely unwavering.  He trusted him, seeing him as the father he never truly had, and perhaps hoping the old man saw him in a similar light.
However, things began to take a turn for the worse as he got older. His old man saw him as a tool after all, and he began to have Gambit take care of his dirty work, which went well at first. But soon, Gambit started showing a more rebellious side. He began to not follow orders, indulge in his vices more and more, even blowing the money he got from these operations on said vices. Sooner rather than later, the weasel turned from a useful tool into a complete liability, and his father realized this.
One night, when Gambit was around 18 years old, after yet another failed mission, his father snapped, screaming and ranting at Gambit about how he was a failure, how he was a “useless fuckin tool”, how he never actually gave a shit about Gambit, how  he was just a pawn who served no purpose anymore and needed to be gotten rid of. In his fury, he attempted to kill his adopted son, but Gambit got him first, killing him with the very revolver the old man had given to him
Panicking, Gambit took the gun, took some money the old man had lying around, and booked it.  He once again returned to the streets, quickly blowing through all the money he had managed to snatch up, spending almost all of it on his newfound addictions, trying to drown out all the horrible feelings that were coursing through him. But in a last act of defiance towards his old man, what little money he had left went towards getting his revolver engraved, something to make the gun truly his. But his mind was teetering on the edge of a complete breakdown: his life had gotten completely upended again, everything he knew was wrong, he was barely to handle it. So, in a desperate attempt to keep him sane and functional, his mind forcefully and deeply repressed almost all of his prior memories, only keeping what he needed to stay alive: his mentality, his skills, his given name, and his attitude.
After blowing through all of his money, and at a loss for ways to make more, Gambit teetered on the edge of starvation and death. But then it hit him: He was real good at killing people, and there were people who’d pay for that shit, so why not just do that? It wasn’t easy, as he failed quite a few of his early jobs, but soon he got into the groove of things, and from then on, his fate was sealed: Gambit the Weasel was a full blown mercenary.
And so things went for a few more years, with Gambit honing his skills, falling deeper into his vices, and being consumed by the all-encompassing bitterness, cynicism and snark that would come to truly define Gambit as a person and help him come into his own. But once again, everything would be upended.
When Gambit was 21, the Black Arms invasion wracked Westopolis, and in the midst  of the chaos, Gambit decided to book it to the nearest city, just trying to survive. Soon, he ended up in the City of Dreams: Empire City.  Here he would continue to hone his skills, his vices, and his personality.
Today, he continues to eke out a living the same way he always has (or at least how he thinks he has): taking whatever jobs he can, killing people, then blowing it all on his vices. As far as he knows, this is how things have been, and how they will always be.  But fate certainly has other plans for him, and one of them comes in the form of a cheeky little spaniel ( @pidgeonspen ‘s Carey) and a  certain green asshole (Specifically @frecklefacefromouterspace ‘s Scourge)
Misc: Shout outs to @pidgeonspen for creating the ref sheet, helping to create the design, and basically being my beta reader for the entire thing.

Hey Andy! I have been drawing for a long time, but I am finally taking it seriously, and I have a couple of questions for you, if you don't mind. 1) Do you have any tips on developing and keeping an art style? 2) Is it ok to use references?(bc I have been using them a lot and it's worrying me.) 3) Any helpful tips on freehand sketching and how to get better at it? Thank you so much for your time Andy, and thank you for being a huge inspiration in my life! One day I hope to be as great as you!😊
Hi! Congrats on deciding to be more serious about art! It’s a tough but rewarding place to be hehe
1) Not really! Your style’s always going to change and develop as you do. Heck, I’ve drawn my entire life and still feel like I’ll never have a style. It’s a combination of your tastes, your opinions, how you see the world and choose to shorthand it on paper. I’d say don’t worry about it. Make stuff you enjoy, do lots of observational studies, and look at others’ work to see what you like/dislike about it so you can form your own taste. Even people with extremely pushed, abstract styles will show change/development over time so it might be helpful to let go of the ‘I need to find a style!!!’ mentality and instead focus on your journey as an artist. You’ll grow more confident in your tastes and develop your shorthand more with mileage - exciting!
2) IT IS ABSOLUTELY FINE to use references, your art will look infinitely better with them because how can you depict something well if you don’t know what it looks like IRL? Never be ashamed to use refs, there are a ton of good free resources out there as well as the fact you can take your own pics/do poses in the mirror. You can also reference existing art to try and break them down/deconstruct the stylisation process for yourself but obviously DO NOT post copies of others’ work without permission. If you trace stuff or do a photo study for training it’s common courtesy to ask beforehand and credit the original artist/photographer if they’re ok with you sharing it publicly.
You shouldn’t be worrying! Professionals use references ALL THE TIME, you’re good!
3) Hmmm everyone is different about this! For me, I buy cheap but high quality paper sketchbooks and use cheap/regular materials so I’m not precious about my drawings. Some people don’t even use sketchbooks and instead work on scrap paper. I know my friends trained themselves up to draw freehand extremely fast by NEVER using an eraser and always sketching in pen. You can also do basic exercises like drawing circles, boxes, crosshatching, joining dots; it seems boring but training your hand muscles is actually very helpful, so when you do observational/freehand art, your lines are more confident because you’ve improved your muscle coordination.
Sorry that’s long but I hope this is even just a little helpful! I’m also not the best person to go to for advice because I’m not a professional nor trained in art, but if I can share a little wisdom I’ve picked up over the years and it is useful to you then I’m glad. Thank you for such a kind message. Good luck!

Hot Coffee, The Drink of Gods
If you want hot coffee at game, and you don’t have electricity -- your choices can be a bit limited. We’re lucky enough at my site that we do have electricity, and there’s some very kind people who bring Keurig machines (but you do need to bring your own k-cups). However, I know most places the electricity may be hard to come by, or you may just not like the waste that k-cups produce. So here’s a few ideas for hot coffee that are a little friendlier for LARP. Instant Coffee The technology behind instant coffee has gotten WAY better since I was a kid. I don’t know that I’d go as far as to say it will ever be my favorite coffee, but in a pinch -- it’s not bad. Instant coffee these days comes in either individual packets, or large containers (again, if you wish to reduce waste). Instant coffee keeps fairly well, being completely freeze dried, and if you get the larger containers, you can adjust your coffee to water ratio until it gets as close to the good stuff as you like. The link below is to the Necafe’ Classico -- as it is one of the best instant coffees I’ve tried! https://www.amazon.com/Nescafe-Clasico-Instant-Coffee-Ounce/dp/B0052OOLZY/ref=asc_df_B0052OOLZY/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198111057496&hvpos=1o9&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4270922197100372701&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030820&hvtargid=pla-391660042522&psc=1 Tea Style Brewing Method You can always make coffee the same way you make tea. Make little satchels of coffee that you steep in hot water until it’s as dark as you like. As with the cold brewing method, do make sure not to squeeze your coffee pouch after brewing, as that will just encourage more of the bitter notes into your drink -- which you don’t need! Here’s a link in case you’d like better instructions! The nice thing about this is you can make your satchels at home, and just bring them with you for coffee on the go. https://www.instructables.com/id/Customize-your-own-portable-coffee-bags/
Stovetop Coffee Machine If you’re as old as I am, you might recognize a stovetop percolator if you saw it. They fell out of fashion some time in the 70s or 80s, but remain in the minds of some coffee aficionados who swear they make a better cup of coffee than auto-drip machines. The good news is, they can be pretty cheap! They take a little work to get right, so practice at home before you go to game. You can brew your coffee over a propane camp stove (though I wouldn’t try to do this over one of the small Sterno cans, they just don’t get hot enough). If you’d like to see the kind of pot I mean, click the link below! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074C5LRRV/ref=sspa_dk_detail_1?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B074C5LRRV&pd_rd_w=uVsxE&pf_rd_p=8a8f3917-7900-4ce8-ad90-adf0d53c0985&pd_rd_wg=K9dnI&pf_rd_r=EVX5G6TY9WXR3CV4ZAPA&pd_rd_r=ce200325-a8d7-11e9-a93c-6bb543d57023
Turkish Coffee For the truly adventurous, or the consummate coffee snob -- there is always Turkish coffee. Easily one of my favorite coffee styles in the world, Turkish coffee is powerful and flavorful, while usually never getting as bitter as you would imagine it to be. You will need a camp stove to make Turkish coffee, but serving it is a gorgeous, period perfect affair -- especially if you happen to have a culture in your game that takes any inspirations from the middle east. This method is not for the faint of heart! It takes practice to get right, and is not a quick process. It will also necessitate more in-game cleanup. But it can be one of the most rewarding, and one of the best tasting if you’re in the mood for a decent cup of coffee (or want to impress your friends!) Turkish Coffee Set (on Amazon): https://www.amazon.com/CopperBull-Thickest-Copper-Turkish-Saucers/dp/B014VBDD4I/ref=sr_1_13?crid=YI77HRNPP0ZR&keywords=copper+turkish+coffee+pots&qid=1563482364&s=gateway&sprefix=copper+turkish+coffee%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-13 How to Brew Turkish Coffee: https://foolproofliving.com/how-to-make-turkish-coffee/

Trending Music DJ Ross is a producer with an extreme passion for beats! She mesmerizes you with her powerfully eclectic take on Electronic Dance Music. Upon speaking with her, I was instantly taken back by her creative vibe. I have never heard any club mixes quite like hers. DJ Ross mixes mother nature with drums, hard beats, and rhythmic blends that make you instantly feel as if you stepped into rainforest nightclub. Listen here to get an idea of what I mean. https://soundcloud.com/dj-ross-tha-boss/drums-original-mix Her very unique style is definitely worth listening to. I am honored to be able to share our interview with you. "Hello Boss, it is so nice to meet you!" DJ Ross: "Thank you, I feel the same way about you!" "Could you tell our viewers a little about yourself?" DJ Ross: "Well, I am 22 years old and I am from Louisiana. "Wow, you look younger than you are, which is great when you get to be 40, you'll look 25! So, tell me how did you become inspired to Be a DJ of all things?" DJ Ross: "Lol, Thanks. My love for music started around my toddler years. Every time I heard a song on the radio, when I was in the car with my mom, she said, I would always dance and try to sing the lyrics." "I did that a lot in my youth too, who knows maybe that is what inspired me to become a singer as well?" DJ Ross: "Maybe." "Do you own any instruments, or did you take lessons as a child?" DJ Ross: "I got my first guitar at the age of 9 then two years later, I got my first drum set just because I wanted one and thought they were cool. Playing drums became my natural talent without taking any lessons I managed to play quite well." "Impressive, you could say you play it by ear so to speak!" DJ Ross: "Ya, Lol!" "Can you tell me how you ended up going from guitar and drums to DJ'ing turntables?" DJ Ross: "Seven years later, I discovered my true passion in music, which became DJ'ing and I knew that This was my dream career. I discovered EDM (Electronic Dance Music) from watching YouTube videos of DJ Pauly D from the Jersey Shore TV show, as I was searching for videos of Pauly, I found DJ Bl3nd which is a DJ that started out doing DJ sets in his room, dancing around with his chucky mask on and now he travels around the world to DJ for his fans. Since then, he has become my idol. Shortly after I started to pursue my career by investing in my first DJ system, it was very cheap and small. I spent all summer watching videos on how to DJ and teaching myself the basics. After I learned what I needed to know, I started to put my mixes out on SoundCloud to share with my family, friends, and the world." "I must say that your dedication is admirable, most youth nowadays are not dedicated enough to stick to something and follow through." DJ Ross: "Thank you, I guess you have to really love what you want to do to stick to it!" "What age would you say that you mastered the art of DJ'ing? Do you feel it is now getting you closer to your dreams?" "By the age of 20 I began to master my DJ'ing skills, I decided to take my talent to another level by learning how to produce my own music. When I finally completed my first full song, I decided to post it on SoundCloud and I continued to keep working harder to get better. Now, I am getting the recognition I've been waiting for all my life. I have gained thousands of followers on my social media sites and hope to continue to gain more. I have a huge passion for music and I am always thinking of what production I would like to do next! My dreams are coming true!" "Yes, they are! It was a pleasure to chat with you. Know that in me you always have a friend. I will continue to share your story and your music. I thank you for sharing with me. I wish you all the success in the world on your journey to the stars! Would you like to take a moment to send out a special message?" DJ Ross: "Yes, Thank you for featuring me and listening to my music. advice for trans boys/men
before i say anything: im not exactly the right person to give this advice, im not trans, im not saying i think my experiences let me know what its like to be trans, im not saying my experiences are exactly like what its like to be trans. But please hear me out, I wanna try and help someone with what I know if I can.
I wanna try and give a couple tips on passing as male because I’ve been misgendered pretty frequently as male after a recent wardrobe change. I identify as a cis gendered female but i dress pretty androgynously, i made some alterations to the way i dress and i’ve been addressed as a male a lot in public after that. i just wanna list some stuff that might help someone pass as male:
Tumblr media
Glasses: they could be your best friend and the bigger the better when it comes to glasses. They’re a pretty quick and easy way to change the shape of your face. Glasses can make your face look larger and change the look of your cheek bones to look somewhat more masculine. They can also change the shape of your eyes as well, making them look smaller and less traditionally feminine. These changes are by no means drastic but they could help you. If you aren’t so fucking blind you can’t see two feet in front of you like me you can get no prescription or clear glass lenses that are just a single layer of glass. You can get them pretty cheap online too, most pairs don’t cost too much more than $10. You could also wear sunglasses as well but there are times that you can’t wear them like inside or at night without raising suspicion.
heres a few links for some pretty cheap clear lenses you can get online: https://www.bleudame.com/Eyewear/Clear-Glasses-277.aspx
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=clear+glasses
Tumblr media
Big Clothing: It helps to wear clothes big enough to hide your form (especially if you haven’t gotten/don’t want to get surgery). Wear a shirt that has enough fabric to loose your form in the waves of it. Wear pants that don’t allow you to see your hip forms. and if you aren’t wearing mens clothes and want to, i recommend you switch right now because there are a million benefits to mens clothes you never would have thought of. the point is to wear things that make feminine forms disappear or almost disappear. whatever size you wear, buy something the next size or two up, it might help you. Amazon has tons of good clothing cheap and you can often get it in a bunch of sizes. Theres also a site called Wish were you can get clothes absolutely dirt cheap but its not always reliable and most clothes come from china and take a long time to come, but if you need really cheap clothes id go there.
(also if you wear a binder please be diligent about it. make sure you take it off for a little while and let yourself breathe, don’t exercise or do really labor intensive stuff in it. you could get hurt. but you’ve probably heard all that anyway)
Tumblr media
Short Hair: If you haven’t already and you’re comfortable with it, cut your hair short. This was probably what gets me misgendered the most. get a traditionally masculine hair style and own it. Look for exactly what you want. If you get a haircut and absolutely fucking love it then your more likely to be confident and happy. This is kinda a no brainer i would think but i’m saying it really helps.
Tumblr media
Makeup: this could drastically help you if you do it right. giving yourself more traditionally masculine features using makeup can really help. bigger eyebrows, more defined cheekbones and a larger nose are all things you can accomplish and more. there are tutorials online of how to apply male makeup that will help as well. the one thing i would avoid is giving yourself facial hair with makeup. Drug store stuff is usually pretty cheap and isnt the best quality but it will do if you’re on a budget or don’t want to commit or buy really expensive stuff.
Tumblr media
(this is a weird one but) Men’s Products: If you aren’t using them already men’s products will help you in more ways then one. you won’t get as dysphoric using men’s products compared to others and other people that get close enough to smell your musk will smell “man” and assume you’re a man. This probably helped me, i sort of prefer men’s deodorant because it works really really well and it usually smells strong enough to mask strong stress odor so people could usually smell it on me from five feet away. It also comes in more fruity scents than your average “man” deodorant.
heres some coupons if you want them (i could only find them for dove men+care) x x
You can do as few or many of these as you want and i can’t promise you results for all of them but I just wanna try and help if I can. These are all just suggestions. Most of you who read this probably already knew about this stuff so im sorry if it doesn’t help.
I wanna reiterate that im not trans nor do i think i know what its like. Im not saying I know these things will work for you, but after i did them i noticed a change in people’s behavior toward me. I don’t know what its like. but i do know that passing as male is a huge worry for some people. I just wanted to try and help some guys feel more sure of themselves and get recognized as male a lot more. I really hope at least one thing here will help one person.
I hope I was able to help someone in some way with this. please remember that you are valid. and remember to take life at your own pace and to only do things if you want to, not because you think you should. you deserve to be happy. Don’t let others get you down and live as loud as you want to. I wish you all the best and thank you for reading all the way down to here <3

Do you have any advice for people trying to improve their art?
YASSSS, okay so:
- draw a lot from reference! Copy is GOOD, look at things you like and draw them out as identically as you can, absorb their goodness like an unholy sponge
- watch a lot of stuff, like my long dead grandma used to say: “you need to have a full stomach before cooking for others”, in other words, you gotta read and watch stuff, be it books, comics, mangas, movies, television series..etc. Inspiration and good ideas don’t come from nowhere amigo
- diversify your practice, touch everything! try different mediums (acrylics, digital, pastels, markers…), different styles (manga, cartoon, realistic, geometric…), different things (objects, animals, plants, environments)..etc!
- go check out videos and tutorials on the net, there’s so many of them on youtube, here’s my own art tutorial playlist if it helps!! not everyone can afford art classes so watching the way others work and learning from their experience is an amazing free alternative.
- don’t be afraid of constructive criticism! different views can help notice stuff you didn’t, but try to get the opinion of an art teacher or smt, someone with experience and not Jimmy from across the street who just happens to dislike purple and Shrek
- get unhealthfully obsessed with something, no really, its amazing how productive one can get when they’re FUCKING OBSESSED….so yeah, fanarts are the way to go and it makes others happy too so it’s two for one.
- try to start a comic, this isn’t for everyone but it worked for me. Ever notice how much mangaka’s art progress over the course of the serialization? It’s the same principle coz drawing a story, panels by panels, let’s you practice a wide range of facial expressions, character design, backgrounds, props…etc. and it even helps u ameliorate your grammar lmao. And of course, your story's gon be embarrassing and horrible and unoriginal, but just get down to it!!!!
I used to draw different comics too, the longest one was a huh…..hm…. *clears throat*, a retelling of that Daughter of Evil Vocaloid song but set in an Alice in Wonderland world………. and I spent 8 complete sketchbooks on it….
Tumblr media
it was an orgy of all those bad anime cliches complete with cheesy one-liners directly imported from Hollywood movies
Tumblr media
but hey, it helped me get to where I am today, so it’s worth it!
- get a cheap sketchbook, so you won’t end up with a gazillion loose leaf paper or cry when u waste the fancy bristol paper by drawing dicky mcdick on it. I personally use Strathmore or Canson, it’s cheap but not shitty quality either
- keep practicing!! like seriously guys, your art will be fifty shades of awful and you will want to chuck it out the window but there’s no shortcut. Just draw every day until you fill a buttload of sketchbooks and you’ll eventually get somewhere,
Tumblr media
^^^^^ this is how many I’ve filled in the span of 5 years
——-
here’s a link for nude ref coz drawing naked people always help, and here’s my art tutorial tag on my side-blog
and here’s a link to a weirdly inspiring comic I’ve seen, like???? I don’t know why but it cheers me up whenever i feel down about my art^^

Wombwell Rainbow Interviews
I am honoured and privileged that the following writers local, national and international have agreed to be interviewed by me. I gave the writers two options: an emailed list of questions or a more fluid interview via messenger.
The usual ground is covered about motivation, daily routines and work ethic, but some surprises too. Some of these poets you may know, others may be new to you. I hope you enjoy the experience as much as I do.
Dah Helmer
Born April 7th 1950, in Herkimer, New York and raised in Ilion, New York, along the energizing Mohawk River, Dah has been a resident of Berkeley, California since 1980.Besides being a prolific writer, Dah is an award-winning photographer, and a yoga practitioner since 1969. He is a certified teacher in two yogic disciplines, Shivananda  and Yoga Of The Heart. From these two schools he developed his own style, Chakra Four Yoga, which he’s been teaching to children in public and private schools since 2005. Dah stopped teaching adults in 2013, only to focus on the magical realm of teaching kids to meditate, to stretch, and to stay in harmony with the natural world.
When Dah is not writing or teaching he stays close to nature and has a great passion for coastal camping along the Pacific shores and backcountry camping along lakes and rivers, as well as cycling, canoeing, and daily long walks in the redwood hills of Berkeley. He also spends many hours in his self-designed and self-built garden meditating or floating into a trance state of deep relaxation, dreams, and visions.
Much of Dah’s poetry exhibits indelible images of nature and,  at times, his poetry can be beautifully melancholic due to the gloomy emotionally and spiritually depleted realms  of humanity, politics, and religion.
Dah says: I don’t always want my readers to feel comfortable in that uncomfortable poetry can create realizations that enable an expansion of one’s imagination and experiences.

The Interview
WR: Dah, thank you for taking the time out of your schedule for this interview.
DAH: The pleasure is mine Paul, and thank you for inviting me.
WR:  So, what inspired you to write poetry?
DAH:  For me, Paul, it’s more of who than what. The inspiration comes from nearly all of the 20th Century European and Russian poets, along with the Dada and Surrealist writers, which also includes Rimbaud and Whitman. Then, in the 1960’s, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, and Jim Morrison’s poetry/lyrics came around and the complex word-play in their writing has had a powerful affect over my creativity. It was as if a spell had been cast.
WR: Who introduced you to poetry?
DAH: I began focusing on poetry in my early teens due to my ninth grade English teacher. She would begin class by reading poems from Neruda, Whitman, Poe, and others. Something in me clicked with their poetic language and especially with Neruda’s earthy simplicity and Whitman’s sweeping imagery.
WR: How aware were you of the dominating presence of older poets?
DAH: I believe that the awareness is always there, whether conscious of it or not.  It’s understood that, as a young poet, older poets have always had a stimulating affect over my thoughts as a creative thinker. It’s the creative achievements of these older poets along with their ability to string words together into stunning similes and metaphors that, as a fledgling writer, lured my imagination and my interest.
WR: What is your daily writing routine?
DAH: I would like to say that I have a writing routine, but I don’t have one. I’ve never considered of a writing process. I write when I have something to say. I don’t force words onto paper, nor do I force myself to write. There are those who are convinced that if they don’t write so many words per day then they are failing as a writer, and I find this type of thinking stifling with a side of emotional torcher. I’m completely relaxed about writing and about being a writer. Also, I travel a bit, which creates natural stimulation for my imagination. I write in pencil in cheap composition notebooks which I carry with me all of the time. There’s nothing special in my working technique, no glorified writer’s sanctuary.
WR: What motivates you to write?
DAH: My subconscious tells me when I must write. I never consciously think about it. Many times while walking or driving I have dropped to the sidewalk or pulled my truck over to get a first-draft line or two out of my head and onto paper. Again, there is no specific process or rules for my writing. There’re no deliberate set ups, no special pen, or no particular writing space, or any writers retreats. The only time that I retreat to write is when I open my composition notebook, or when I open a blank WORD doc. Any time that I am writing I have retreated, that is, into my imagination.
Also, I’m a member of the poetry critique group, The Lounge, which is a place where a few of us writers watch out for one another by critique and editing each others work.  It’s an online group that I created in 2013. I keep The Lounge at ten members or less. It’s a comfortable, egoless space to be a writer.
WR: What is your work ethic?
DAH:. To be a good writer one must be an honest writer, a writer of integrity, even if you are making it up you have to be honest with yourself about why you are writing this or why you are saying this.
WR: When you were young, how have the writers you read influenced you?
DAH: In everyway possible, artists influence artists. Ones development as an artist and ones many transformations as a growing artist are connected, in one way or another, to what one reads or observes from other artists. There’s no denying the influence and/or inspiration by those before us. On many different levels we, knowingly or not, establish an emotional relationship with those who have influenced us.
WR: Who of today’s writers do you admire the most and why?
DAH: I read many literary journals and magazines and to be honest there’s not much from contemporary poets or fiction writers that excites me. Currently, there’s an overwhelming deluge of sentimental writers, those who persistently write about their families, or childhoods, or about the dying process of a mother or father, that doesn’t draw me in.
I am a hard reader to please. It’s rare for me to be astounded, or to be left speechless by today’s writers. I am not stating that these are inferior writers I am simply saying that what they’re writing about doesn’t appeal to me. On the other hand, being that W.S. Merwin is still alive, then, yes, I admire much of his earlier works. There’s something visionary in his thinking, something deeply creative in his wordplay, something essential and fresh in his creative language. There is also an up and coming fiction writer, Michael Grotsky, who may be releasing his first collection of short fiction at the end of this year. I’ve read many of his stories, and his imagination is of a higher-level accomplishment. His stories are bold with unique characters, places and dialog. Grotsky’s fiction never fails to take me on a spirited adventure to places that I have not been, or to show me something that I’ve not seen, or to tell me things that I have not heard.
WR: Why do you write, as opposed to doing something else?
DAH: I’m an artist, and creative writing is simply one of my many expressions. Fine art photography has been another of my expressions for about four decades. I also paint, draw, play guitar etc …
WR: What would you say to someone who is asking you: “How do you become a writer?”
DAH:  To become a writer, one must write. There’s no other way to be a writer.
WR: Tell me about the writing projects you have going on at the moment.
DAH: My seventh book of poetry, Something Else’s Thoughts, was released by Transcendent Zero Press in July 2018. My sixth book, The Opening, was released a few months earlier by CTU Publishing in March 2018. Currently, my eighth book, Full Life In The Day Of A Poet: selected poems, is in production with Cyberwit Press. The 100-plus poems in this collection are culled from my first four books. The release of “Full Life … “ should be March 2019. Also, I’m continually submitting my poems to journals and magazines, which amounts to about fifty to seventy of my poems published each year. Over the past few years I have had hundreds of poems published in scores of literary zines, in both academic and non-academic periodicals. In addition to all of these writing projects, I’m sorting through my literally thousands of photographs for my first photographic book. If I stay focused I may even see it to a finished piece of work with about fifty-to-hundred images.
WR: Dah, thank you for this insight into your world as an artist.
DAH: Thank you, Paul, for having me here.

Advice on a supermoto/motard as a first bike for a 17 year old in the UK please?
I know bikes are cheaper in terms of insurance than a car, as my FIAT X1/9 I was planning on getting as a first car, as my dad already owned it, is north of 2500 to insure alone. Basically, please can someone advise me on a supermoto for a first time rider with relatively low insurance that cost about 2000 to buy, 2500 maximum. I really like the supermoto style, and its fairly cheap for my friend, I have a 19 year old friend with a modified supermoto YZF250 and pays only 400 per year. I think he has been riding since he was 17. I am clued of on cars and fairly knowledgeable of engines, but I lack the knowledge of the names of different bike, so finding it tricky, I have decided to post this. Preferably I like the idea of a small (cheap 125cc), but a single cylinder 4 stroke purely because of the noise, but if it has to be two stroke, I don't mind greatly. As long as I can do a little over 60mph to keep up with traffic on the faster roads roads, but not the motorways, it will cost less than 2000, but maybe a little over, and will not be overly expensive for a 17 year old, that will be ideal. I don't care of anything to rapid, as long as it is fast enough for the roads unlike a little 30mph moped, I just want a fun, cheap, roadworthy supermoto.""

Help with moral dilemma with car insurance.?
Well money is tight right now and I'm shopping around for a new auto insurance. I live in CA and so far the cheapest one I've found is Mercury insurance. I was playing around with the different personal criteria having fun wondering if having a different profession or having a college degree would change the premium. I found one option significantly changed the price and that was if I selected a different location where I principally garaged my car. The premium changed by about $200 for a year of coverage. It was based on zip code and I put the one that I used while I was in college which is in northern CA but I m in southern CA. Would the insurance company ever find out about that or how would they know? I could make some excuse if it came down to it like I intended to park there since I was planning on attending graduate school there. I don't know if the insurance company could not cover me if they found this out. I don't know what to do. $200 is a lot now.

Will my home owner insurance go up if I make a claim? How much?
I live in Massachusetts. Let's say a homeowner has a flood, and claims a $3000 loss, minus a $500 deductible. Will they be punished severely with increased rates? What will it cost them? Will it make a difference if the damage was someone else's fault (e.g. in a condo where a first floor unit could be flooded by a broken water heater on the second floor, or by a fault in the building's plumbing which is owned by the association?) Will the insurance company send their lawyers after the party at fault, and in that case would they not raise the rates on the claimant? People tell horror stories, usually about car insurance, where the rates go up so much you pay the insurance company back for the whole claim. But I pay all of $220 per year for $30,000 in personal property coverage. If I claimed a loss of a few thousand dollars, how much could they really raise my $220 premium?""
Car insurance - What's the car worth?
In the past when ever i've been asked by insurance companies what my car is worth i've always told them the amount that i think i could realisticly sell it for (what its worth? or so i thought) If i was to sell my car i would be able to get around 1200-1300, which is what i would say 'it's worth', HOWEVER, recently after putting my reg number into a price comparison website it automatically came up with a value of just 700. (My car has low milege, fsh and is in v good condition so is worth more than average) So my question is, if i tell them it's worth say 1250, take out their policy and then i write it off, what will they pay? The amount i told them or 'their' valuation. Also, am i paying a higher premium than i should because i'm telling them it's true value instead of their lower valuation? and if so, how many other people are doing this?""

How much would my insurance premium rise be? Car accident.?
On the interstate going home from work, it started raining just as I entered, really hard. Then I saw this white car in front of me, who stepped on his brakes, and as soon as I saw that, I stepped on mines. I couldn't swerve to the right where the gravel and grass were cause the white car was already headed that way , since it was raining my brakes didn't help and instead my car slid and his the back left corner of the white cars, and then I hitted a gray car from behind. My car is messed up really bad and cannot be repaired. When I gained enough sense to realized what just happened, there was 5 cars that had stopped, but mines was the only one badly damaged, unrepairable. Nobody was injured, and everyone's car was still drivable. The officer basically said it was my fault, cause I couldn't stop MY car from hitting the other two. Now I have to pay a ticket of $165 and my insurance will be paying for the other car's problems.""

My husband and I have been together for 4 years and we have been TTC for 2 years now. We have no insurance , so I've used 2 OPK's but all of the come out negative or with no results, and my periods have ALWAYS been extremely irregular so I can't calculate or predict my ovulation. I know we're gonna need insurance when and if I do get pregnant, here in the state of California you receive free health insurance for you and the baby while your pregnant and until the child is 18 or you get a different insurance carrier. I feel helpless and I don't know what I should do next... I find myself searching for clomid online but I know that is extremely dangerous with Dr. supervision. Car insurance after accident?
I am 18 and have been driving for 1 year, I used to drive as an additional driver on my Dads Renault Megane, I crashed it from spinning off and hitting a wall, luckily no one was hurt, I just had a few cuts from shattered glass. The police have arranged for me to have an interview next week to discuss the consequences, at the moment I have no convictions or anything on my licence, my Dad just bought me my own car and has said he'll pay for the insurance in full, it's quoted at 880 for a year if he pays in full, he was planning on paying in full in 2 days, I'm not trying to cheat the system, but if my dad pays in full and then I get a conviction after the transaction has been made, can the insurance company up my insurance considering I had no convictions at the time? I'm not trying to beat the system and cheat my way, I'm just curious as to what will happen. Thanks for taking the time to read!""
Do you have to have car insurance for all of your vehicles (California- read more for details)?
I live in California and I understand that by law here you have to have car insurance; at least minimum coverage that is. But does this apply to all cars regardless of whether you even drive them on the street or not? The reason why I ask this is because I have a 1971 Chevy Camaro SS which I bought from my father about a year ago (He basically gave it to me, but I didn't want to look spoiled in front of my sister so I gave him $2,000 for it). I did have it insured for the first year thinking it probably wouldn't cost me much, but now I really regret getting it insured since it costed me nearly a fortune this year alone. And the thing that really sucks is that I've never even driven it yet since it still needs a lot of tuning up (and unfortunately I don't have enough time to fix it up since I'm usually a very busy person). Do you think it's possible to uninsure my camaro since it's not even drivable yet? I mean it's not like I'm going to hit a car or something with it since it's just sitting in my garage the whole time. I would ask my insurance agent about this, but I never really trusted them. (They were the ones that persuaded me to get it insured in the first place without even telling me whether I had to or not)""

Car Insurance Help!!!?
I have a Toyota Corolla 2007. About 6 wks ago I got rear ended, the impact sent me over the medium unto uncoming traffic. After all was said and done the car had $6,300 on repairs done. Also I am still experiencing back pain from the accident, my primary doctor wants to send me to a chiropractor which my insurance doesn't cover, should the other insurance pay for it? They are not returning my calls, and they just want to offer me $500 for pain and suffering as long as I sing some papers that release the other driver and the insurance from any further responsibility. Why are my car insurance quotes so high?
Hi, I'm 27 with a full CLEAN UK driving licence and keep getting ridiculously high car insurance quotes. Now before anyone says I DO understand the car I would like is a high risk car but I think the fact Ive been driving accident free since 2001 (when i passed) with no claims points convictions whatsoever and 6 years no claims I should be doing better than this. The car Im trying to insure is a Mitsubishi Evolution FQ320 and cant get a quote below 2000!! I have a friend who is a few days younger than me (so nothing in it) with identical details and regularly gets quotes for the same vehicle below 1400!!! I cant see why this is. Ive tried changing my postcode to his (for the purpose of seeing if this is the difference) to no avail. Adding responsible family members as named drivers who i would legitimately allow to also use the vehicle...no difference. I almost feel like the insurance companies are picking on me for some reason? Can anyone shed any light as to what I could do to make this situation better and why this seems to be the case? How much should a car cost? Really.?
Just from some light browsing on the internet, it seems like they (the advertisers/car manufacturers) want us to believe that $30k is a reasonable median cost for a new car in the U.S. The price goes up disporportionately if they can call it a 'crossover' or the holy grail: SUV!!! $$$$$$$$ Assuming a person makes around $50k a year gross/ $30k a year net (is that a reasonable assumption for the U.S.?), and assuming the car will be worth close to $0 in 5 years, a $30k car works out to be around 20% of his or her income, not including gas repairs insurance et cetera. Tips and tricks for DISNEY trips!
Going to Disney World is no cheap endeavor. For most people its not something you can afford to do every other month. These tips and tricks are for all, but mostly those looking to get the most out of their time at Disney, and maybe, hopefully save a little money.
1)      Pin-Trading: DO IT!
Disney pin trading is awesome! It’s this thing you can do with the cast members. At the park. If you have official Disney pins, you can go up to Disney cast members who have lanyards with pins on them, and ask if they do pin trading (they do) and pick one of your pins to trade for one of theirs. The best part is since Disney gives the cast members their pins, they will trade any of theirs for ANY of yours! Why is this great? Wellll you can buy bulk pins online (for pretty cheap) and get trade some mediocre pins for awesome limited edition pins that the members have! There are so many Disney pins to collect it’s insane! You can even use the pins to make a cool memory box when you get home. Just take a shadow box picture frame, line the back with cork, print up a favorite trip photo to put in the center, then stick your favorite Disney pins from your trip all around the photo in the cork. Great souvenir!! And let me tell you, the pin trading is just plain fun for everyone. My husband was skeptical at first, but when we got there, he was more into pin trading than I was. If you want to get some awesome bulk pins, check out this etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/LuckyFeetTrading?ref=l2-shopheader-name (Lucky Feet Trading). Amazing customer service and 100% satisfaction with the pins. We even ended up keeping half of them we liked them so much!
2)      Get the Disney World app.
It’s free. Download it. You can use it to pretty much plan your entire vacation. You make a profile, you link your fast passes to that profile. You can see all your reservations, all your “plans”, your hotel (if you’re staying on property), there are maps for all the parks! It works really well, it’s an easy to understand lay out and it’s definitely worth the effort it takes to download.
3)      Take the time to plan out, in detail, each day you will be at the park.
Why is this a good idea? Well, because the parks are huge. And if you have never been to Disney world before, you are going to want to at least try and see most of each park. AND this can really help with choosing restaurants, fast passing rides, and deciding what you want to cut. For me, having the whole trip at least relatively mapped out, makes the trip more enjoyable and less stressful. I don’t want to miss anything when I’m at Disney! I make sure I’ve fit everything in by just taking a few minutes to map out my days. For your convenience, I have created a “day planner” for Disney. Take a look! (it will be the document posted labeled Disney Day Planner).
4)      Check out a crowd calendar and plan your park days based on crowd size.
Here is the website I used to determine when we should visit and which parks to go to each day. As a general rule, Magic Kingdom is the most busy on Saturdays/Sundays, so choose to visit the most iconic park on a week day. Here is the calendar: https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/crowd-calendar/February-2017/
I also think this helps eliminate some people’s desire to spend the extra money on park hopper tickets. If you get to a park and it’s too busy, with park hopper you can just move along to another park. But I personally believe in the plan ahead method of seeing Disney, so you don’t spend the extra cash on the hopper passes, and fast passing really makes getting all your favorite rides in super easy and pain free.
5)      Chose at least one “relax” day where you can go visit Disney springs, swim in the pool at your hotel, visit the beach-something relaxing!
Why do I suggest this when Disney-ing? Well, because theme parks although fun and amazing and worth every dime, can be stressful. Crowds are stressful, getting to reservations on time…. Stressful! So it’s always a good idea to plan a more casual and relaxing day while visiting the happiest place on Earth. There are also some amazing shops and restaurants at Disney Springs. Our favorite? T-Rex! LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the whole experience there! Which leads me to tip #6…
6)      Make your dining reservations WAY in advance.
With the Disney World app, this is super easy, but you just gotta do it. When I planned our honeymoon trip, I started reserving our restaurant stops almost 5 months in advance…. And there were STILL restaurants that were already booked solid! But also keep in mind that not all reservations for Disney’s restaurants are booked online. They allow about half the reservations to be made online, so if you don’t get into a restaurant you are dying to try or go to, you can always check the wait times when you are at the park. You can also check for updated reservations on the app! There was one restaurant we really wanted in at, so I just kept checking, and about 5 days before our trip, there was a spot that opened up and I snagged it!
7)      Get some friggin’ Mickey ears and spend a week letting your inner kid out!
There are so many amazing Mickey ears out there for sale! And some of them are just perfect! Find some, buy some and join in the fun of wearing Mickey ears for a week. I also highly suggest the more crafty of you to just make your own. 3 of the 4 day we were at Disney, I wore ears I had hand made and got a top of compliments. They are so simple to make, and really inexpensive. Most of the ears you find at Disney online or Etsy are at least $20, most going beyond that. So, maybe it’s time to let that inner craft goddess out for a spin.
8)      Oh please, please get memory maker!!
It is $150 and worth every penny!
Disney has photo pass people EVERYWHERE. Photo pass people will take anyone’s photo, but if you have memory maker, the pictures end up being cheaper. On our last trip, we ended up with 300+ photos and not a single one that I just hated. They were all good! And in key locations. A lot of the photo pass people are also in spots where they can get a shot of you (and your loved ones) posing in front of iconic Disney places with few people in the back ground. The photo pass people are also next to most of the characters you can meet, and will take several photos of you getting your autograph book signed, the characters hugging you, and several candide photos. They are willing to take your photo with your phone too, but they do not turn out as well. Totally worth it. It was also fun to seek out the photo pass people and see how many photos we could get at different locations. We got lot. :P
9)      Play Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.
Because it looks awesome! I have not actually played this myself, and just recently learned about it. But it looks like something anyone going to Disney should at least look into. Here is the official Disney World page on it: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/magic-kingdom/sorcerers/
10)   Don’t be afraid to ask cast members to take photos of you and your party.
Some of our best photos are from cast members aside from the photo pass photographers. They are all more than happy to help you get a perfect shot and are super nice about it! While we were at the Aztec temple at Epcot, we ask a shop keeper to help take a photo of us beside the restaurant in the temple. When she wasn’t tall enough to get what she thought was a good shot, she asked another cast member, who helped her and who also made sure line ropes and people were out of the way! It was crazy! And made us feel so appreciated. I could not believe how accommodating they were! This was not the only instance that a cast member made some amazing, embarrassment feel photo dreams come to life, but it turned out to be one of my favorite photos. Definitely ask, they are more than happy to help! On a side note, also remember to be happy while at Disney World, you are at the happies place on EARTH and all the cast members are there to help make it the happiest days of your life. So, don’t get mad! Have a great time! And let your inner kid out. There were a few times someone got upset at a family member, or you could tell they weren’t happy, and it was so odd, it made everyone uncomfortable! I’ve never been on a vacation where it was more noticeable when someone was upset or angry.
 11) Get a fanny pack!!
Not a fanny pack from the 90′s, a super hip, super cute fanny pack! There are a lot of choices out there (including some fanny packs from some pretty high end retailers) but my favorite’s were found on Etsy. There are a lot of cute, relatively small fanny packs for sale and they come in fun designs and patterns. There are also some leather, sequin, shiny ones that are a lot more expensive but still very wearable and amazing and cute! There are literally fanny packs for everyone’s style and price range. Now, why should you have a fanny pack at Disney? Well, because it makes keeping your valuable money and cell phones safe. AND it makes taking photos so easy! Just slide the pack to your back and it’s out of sight, or do what I did and show it off because it’s super cute (see example in above photo!). They are also light weight, and can fit everything you really need at the parks. It also makes going through security much easier, and riding rides without power gripping your purse. My favorite fanny pack etsy site (where I got my panda fanny pack I used the last time I was at Disney!) is from Chiradesigns, link below. Check them out! Let me know what you think. Are fanny packs something you would try for Disney?

I may have to add some more tips later, but these are the first 10 11 I could think of that everyone should follow! Hopefully the planner helps, and you get use out of the included sites! If this post helped you plan your vacation to Disney, share! And please let me know what you’re planning for your Disney vacation and if you have any advice for me!
Thanks for sharing some coffee with me! Hope you enjoyed!
