my number 1 way of overcoming my own social anxiety is to do things to assuage OTHER people's social anxiety. it makes me like extrovert passing and it makes other people a lot more comfortable around you bc they feel seen and included without having to ask. it can even create a situation where you become the defacto shepard of the group bc shy people will follow u like a little flock of sheep not having a clue you're ALSO scared to be here lolol
