      Her head turned to look at her uncle with an unamused glance. A long period of training had left the Sword of the Jedi on the ground, attempting to give herself a respite that some part of her brain didn’t think she’d earned. She should have known that her uncle wasn’t far off and she might have been able to feel him if Jaina wasn’t so wrapped up in her own mind. 

      He was right. Of course he was, her uncle had found a wisdom that had yet to fully grace Jaina. He had fought against family - against his own father. Of course he knew what it was that ran deep in the back of her mind when she was alone. 

      How did they end up like this? 

    “I could have taken a little unexpected...but not this.”

         She hadn’t really thought about her words before they left her mouth. Her mind had been so focused on Jag that the words had slipped from her the moment that she’d seen her mother. At Leia’s movement and gesture for her to sit, Jaina felt a soft smile come to her features - replacing the frown that had made itself at home when she’d been too focused on the issues she was having with one Chiss raised former Imperial. 

        Jaina sat, hair coming down from her bun, knowing full well what her mother had in mind. A soft smile came to her features as she shook out her own long locks. 

       “Jagged is proving to be a bit of a pain.”

By the time that Jaina and her twin brother, Jacen, were born to Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, they had already been the subject of 3 attempted kidnappings by those connected with the dark side of the force. However, thanks to Leia, the twins were born in safety on Coruscant. After another attempted kidnapping by Grand Admiral Thrawn and their uncle’s worry that the twins would be corrupted to the dark side, it was decided that Jacen and Jaina would be raised in isolation on New Alderaan, in the care of Winter, an old friend of Leia’s. Eventually, the family was moved both to Nespis VIII and then to Onderon, fleeing the reborn Emperor Palpatine, who wished to inhabit the body of the twin’s younger brother, Anakin.

Eventually, Winter and the Solo children made a home on the world Anoth, where they were safe. When the twins were two and a half, it was decided they would return to Coruscant to live with Han and Leia, much to the apprehension of the children, who due to the limited exposure to their parents, had come to view Winter as their mother. When the twins made their new home with their parents, they were both showing increasing signs of Force Sensitivity and a further development of the mental link the two shared since birth. The two quickly made it obvious that they had a knack for finding themselves, and those with them, in trouble. Even ending up in the Undercity of Coruscant.

In 11 ABY, the twins accompanied their parents to Yavin 4, where their uncle had began setting up a new Jedi Temple before falling into a comatose state. Jaina believed that she could wake her uncle by giving him a kiss, however she was unsuccessful. When a great disturbance in the force was felt, the twins were left on Yavin 4, where they fended off various attackers to their uncle’s body and learned they could see Luke’s disembodied spirit, who helped teach the twins how to keep the temple safe until help returned.

As Jaina grew older, it became increasing clear that she took after her father in both cockiness and mechanical aptitude. After receiving a multi-tool when she was 5 years old, Jaina learned to work on wood, then metal, and eventually was even allowed to both work on simple repairs and fly the Millennium Falcon. She was generally far closer with her father than mother, due to Leia’s duties as Head of State, and this often cause a bit of resentment from Jaina towards Leia.

During their childhood, both twins were the subject of multiple kidnapping attempts, eventually leading to a successful one at the hands of Hethrir and the Empire Reborn in 13 ABY and in 18 ABY, Jaina and her family were caught up in the Corellian Crisis. Jaina, her brothers, and Chewbacca were captured by Thrackan Sal-Solo in the stead of the Human League. In the end, they were able to escape. During 18 ABY, Jaina and Jacen met and became good friends with another child by the name of Zekk who often joined them on their misadventures, Jaina even developing a bit of a crush on him.

In 22 ABY, Jaina and Jacen traveled to Yavin 4 once more, this time to begin their training as Jedi. In her time at the academy, Jaina became friends with Tenel Ka, Raynar Thul and Chewbacca’s nephew, Lowbacca, leading to the creation of life long relationships. While her brother was better with the Living Force, Jaina, under Luke’s teaching, learned to hone her already powerful mechanical and piloting skills further with the use of the Force, causing her to be known as one of the Academy’s strongest students. While there, the group even dealt with the darkside of the force when the Shadow Academy made itself known. During the conflict with the Shadow Academy, Jaina learned that her friend Zekk had sided with the Shadow Academy and Dark Side, and this caused her to fight to bring him back to the Light Side of the Force many times.

Not long after this, Luke decided it was time for them to create their own lightsabers, and Jaina, much like Luke had done years earlier, decided to use a synthetic crystal, creating a purple blade. Eventually, the Shadow Academy fell, and Jaina was able to regain her friend Zekk, though the two were once again separated when Zekk, due to his time with the Dark Jedi, decided to leave the Academy. However, the two crossed paths and worked together many times more after this.

In the years 25 ABY to 29 ABY, Jaina found herself pulled into Yuuzhan Vong War, a pan-galactic conflict that spanned 4 years when the war like Yuuzhan Vong invaded the galaxy. It was in this conflict that Jaina’s younger brother, Anakin, perished while leading a team to fight, and even when Jaina met her future husband, Jagged Fell. This lead to Jaina to fall into a dark rage, even going so far as to almost kill an innocent and use a usually Dark Side exclusive power, Force Lightening, on the warriors that surrounded her brother’s body and attempted to keep her from him. She even believed that Jacen had met his end as well, though she later learned he’d just been captured.

To the Yuuzhan Vong, Jaina became known as an Avatar of their Trickster Goddess, Yun-Harla, and during her fighting, she used this to cause the enemy fear. Due to her efforts, Luke named her the Sword of the Jedi, a position that hadn’t been filled since before the rise of the Empire. During this time, Jaina was told of a rumor that Jacen was alive, and went to find him. She eventually found him, and after more fighting, the war finally came to an end.

After the war, Jaina went back to serving the Jedi Order. Years later, another Galactic War began, and eventually lead to a rift to began to appear between Jaina and Jacen as she started to feel something dark growing in her brother. Even telling Luke that she felt as though Jacen would hurt her in the future. This came true when Jacen turned to the Dark Side and killed her aunt, Mara Jade Skywalker. Eventually, Jaina and Jacen, now Darth Caedus, fought, the battle ending when Jaina killed her brother.

Jaina was taken back to heal once the fight was over, and once back to full strength, she went back to serving the Jedi Order. And eventually married Jagged Fel - a man that she’d worked with many times before - and became Empress Fel upon the construction of the Fel Empire.
