Studying with bakugo is almost NEVER studying with bakugo. The mf can yell at you to pay attention all he wants but a few seconds of it and you’re already back to yapping about the latest drama. Drawing little doodles on your paper (and a few on his) while you tell him about how kuroiro finally confessed to Komori from class 1b, and although he doesn’t like to admit it he’s paying more attention to your yapping then his studying. (Your the only person who can do that)
i hope i did your ask justice😔 this is the first one i’ve done, but thank you sm for requesting. and gosh, i love silly highschool romance sm REQUEST MORE PLS
sorta linked to this but can def be read as a standalone
Tumblr media
“did you hear about kuroiro’s confession today?” you asked. you were laid on bakugou’s room floor, your notebook wide open with a few math equations along with a dozen of doodles.
you just asked him another silly question, one of the countless ones that you’ve already made in a hour.
bakugou already knew that you were a sociable person from the way you find a new person to talk to everyday, but he didn’t expect you to be this talkative.
truth be told, you’ve talked more than you have actually studied. which was the main reason why you had come to his room at nearly eight o’clock at night, close to his bedtime.
he only accepted the late study session was because the other reason for you to come was so he could speak with you privately. this was the best way he could do it secretly without being found out.
bakugou looked up from his textbook, directly at you. “no. not that i even care about that stuff anyway.”
your chin rested in the palm of your hand, silently drumming your fingers against your cheek.
“it’s hilarious though, cmon!” you pleaded with a small smile on your face.
“we’re supposed to be studying, y/n. did you forget that you didn’t exactly ace that test?” he rhetorically asked.
you pursed your lips together in a thin line, looking away from bakugou and back onto your textbook. you were dumb enough to even think you could gossip with bakugou.
he offered to help you study, not to bond more as friends clearly.
you picked up your pencil and began to write the equation that was written in the hardbook next to you.
hearing that there was no response from you, bakugou internally began to slightly panic. it was never like you to just shut up so easily. he couldn’t help but come to the conclusion that he came off too rude.
it’s not that he didn’t want to hear you speak, he just didn’t want to make his crush on you so obvious. he was trying so hard to be his normal self which was much harder towards you than he thought.
bakugou placed his textbook down, leaning back into the palm of his hands behind him. “what did that extra do?”
almost immediately, you released the pencil that was in your hand and made eye contact with the ruby eyed male in front of you. a smile tugged on your lips, one that bakugou couldn’t help but think was so fuckin’ cute.
“he made her a bouquet of mushrooms, because you know, her whole mushroom quirk thing. he tried to give it to her discreetly but someone walked past and made it a whole big deal.” you described. “honestly, i feel bad cause i think they’re both kinda shy. they probably didn’t want that attention.”
bakugou unknowingly listened to every word of yours, feeling himself being drawn into you. what was it about your voice that made it so compelling for him?
if it were anyone else like stupid shitty hair or raccoon eyes, he’d shut it down immediately, not caring about a single word they had to say about it.
but, he found it a little more difficult than usual to refuse when it came to you.
he snickered. “public confession? what a romcom move of him.”
you looked back down, noticing bakugou’s blank paper. out of boredom, you grasped onto his notebook. you started to doodle on the small square in the upper left corner; a couple of hearts, stars, dots to make it less bland.
“i think it was sweet. it’s hard to confess already, but to do it in front of an audience? takes guts honestly.”
bakugou watched you draw on his paper. he felt a little jump in his heart, some part of him liking the fact that you took initiative to add your own touch to something of his.
something so stupid. so small. but he couldn’t help but feel a tad giddy.
bakugou sat upright, gulping nothing but his own saliva. “is that something you would like?”
at first, bakugou curses at himself. why would he ask something like that? something that could definitely give away his small crush on you. but he remained his same stone-cold look.
you looked up at bakugou, noticing his eyes softening slightly before returning to their original position.
you thought about it long before responding. “nah. don’t think that’s something i’d really prefer. i’d like a simple confession with just the two of us.” you described.
it seemed a little weird to you that you were casually speaking of your own relationship preference with bakugou, but you tried your hardest not to think too much about it.
you assumed he was only trying to make small talk.
“good.” again, with bakugou’s one worded response. even though he didn’t add more to his sentence, his eyes lingered with yours. as if he was deciding something or carefully analyzing you. but it was a different look. not a competitive, angry look. but rather a tender look. one you have never seen bakugou wear, ever.
suddenly, he looked away, back onto his textbook. you seemingly didn’t mind considering the small tingle you were receiving in your face.
bakugou looked over his shoulder, begging to anyone even the gods above to remove the deep-set blush that was occurring on his face.
the male cleared his throat. “alright, let’s fuckin’ study. gossipin’ and yappin’ won’t help you get a better damn test score.” he chose the defensive route to move on.
you silently agreed with a nod. but, your mind goes back to the thought that you successfully just gossiped with the katsuki bakugou. the one that’s listed to only care about being the number one hero.
you bit the inside of your cheek to hide a smile as you tapped your pencil against your notebook.
just now, a kaleidoscope of butterflies slipped through the cracks of your stone wall, entering your stomach, and began to harvest a life within that had bakugou’s name branded on it.

hi!! i hope you’re having a lovely day :-) i really enjoy reading your blog and how you pick apart Things & was wondering if you have any tips and guides for reading and analyzing poetry? ive always struggled w forming coherent thoughts abt poems and would love to know how you approach it. thank you sm for your time ✨
so the big thing that made poetry "click" for me was realising that i was trying to read it the way i might try to read a novel -- identify a discourse taking place, look for points in the text that supplement my argument, construct a position on what the piece is "about" based on these points -- all very undergrad essay-core and frankly a v boring way to think about novels as well, but like, completely mind-numbing when it came to poetry. i think a better approach is to interface with the poem at the level of language and technical construction. i find that it helps a lot to know the technical terms for particular phenomena in the language of poetry, but even without that shorthand knowledge, you'll get a lot out of poetry when you start looking at the choices being made at the level of individual words or even syllables. so instead of asking "what is this poem about?", we can start to ask, for instance:
what is the tone of this poem? is it sparing or loquacious? emotional or detached? asking questions or answering them? what's the vantage point - is this a detached omniscient third-person narrator making observations, or are we as the reader being guided towards a particular perspective on the part of the speaker?
what is the mouthfeel of this poem? can you find any 'shapes' -- any assonance, any internal rhyming, alliteration, anything that causes you to pay attention to particular words, phrasing, etc. why is your attention being called to those moments?
what is the rhythm of the poem? is it free verse -- if so, can you find any points in the piece where more or less attention to rhythm is being paid? why does the line break on this particular word? are the sentences short or long? how is the poet interfacing with their chosen meter? what does this meter lend to the poem? if you're reading multiple works by the same author, compare their use of meter -- do they use the same meter regularly or switch it up, and why were those switches made?
if you can annotate a poem, do so. note down anything which seems linguistically interesting, even if you don't know the "correct" technical word for it -- any clusters of words with similarities whose placement might be interesting (eg. what words are rhymed!), any noteworthy rhythmic discrepancies, placement of line breaks, anything that sticks out. i like to think of reading poetry as a playful exercise -- you're playing around with the words, seeing how they work, enjoying the rhythm and texture of the piece as it comes to you, and trying to construct "a reading" only after the fact.
i think there are times when the reading-for-a-discourse approach can be v helpful and illuminating, but it's best to stumble on those opportunities organically rather than focusing all your energy on trying to answer the "what is this trying to say?" question. if a particular discursive component of a poem sparks your interest (like eg. you read the rime of the ancient mariner and notice how the poem interfaces with contemporaneous abolitionist discourses as well as colonialist ideas about polynesia, just as an example), you've obviously got a compelling hook from which you can anchor a reading, but going in expecting such a reading to jump off the page will often just result in frustration.
this doesn't mean that we don't take the discourse of a poem seriously, or that we don't understand the "rules" of poetry to be postdiscursive phenomena highly contingent on social context. if anything, understanding poetry at a mechanical level opens up significant doors for answering these types of questions -- we can understand, for example, the reactionary nature of the academic revolt against free verse and the desire to return to metered poetry better once we understand the function of form and structure in fascist aesthetics. similarly, spending this kind of time with a poem makes it a lot easier to get a handle on what it might be "about," and what sort of choices are being made to render that "about"ness coherent.
also -- and this is true of anything, including poetry -- if a poet isn't working for you, try reading somebody else. a lot of poets that people will say are good and interesting are neither of those things. poetry has the advantage of being (usually!) a quick read compared to novels, so it's far easier to shop around, read widely, realise what you like and dislike, and engage accordingly.
one of my favourite pieces of literary criticism and examples of the value of this sort of reading practice comes from nabokov's epilogue to lolita, in which he both defends the novel in question against accusations of salacity and speaks very disparagingly of efforts to read a thesis statement into it. he writes:
Every serious writer, I dare say, is aware of this or that published book of his as of a constant comforting presence. Its pilot light is steadily burning somewhere in the basement and a mere touch applied to one’s private thermostat instantly results in a quiet little explosion of familiar warmth. This presence, this glow of the book in an ever accessible remoteness is a most companionable feeling, and the better the book has conformed to its prefigured contour and color the ampler and smoother it glows. But even so, there are certain points, byroads, favorite hollows that one evokes more eagerly and enjoys moretenderly than the rest of one’s book. I have not reread Lolita since I went through the proofs in the spring of 1955 but I find it to be a delightful presence now that it quietly hangs about the house like a summer day which one knows to be bright behind the haze. And when I thus think of Lolita, I seem always to pick out for special delectation such images as Mr. Taxovich, or that class list of Ramsdale School, or Charlotte saying “waterproof,” or Lolita in slow motion advancing toward Humbert’s gifts, or the pictures decorating the stylized garret of Gaston Godin, or the Kasbeam barber (who cost me a month of work), or Lolita playing tennis, or the hospital at Elphinstone, or pale, pregnant, beloved, irretrievable Dolly Schiller dying in Gray Star (the capital town of the book), or the tinkling sounds of the valley town coming up the mountain trail (on which I caught the first known female of Lycaeides sublivens Nabokov). These are the nerves of the novel. These are the secret points, the subliminal co-ordinates by means of which the book is plotted—although I realize very clearly that these and other scenes will be skimmed over or not noticed, or never even reached, by those who begin reading the book under the impression that it is something on the lines of Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure or Les Amours de Milord Grosvit. That my novel does contain various allusions to the physiological urges of a pervert is quite true. But after all we are not children, not illiterate juvenile delinquents, not English public school boys who after a night of homosexual romps have to endure the paradox of reading the Ancients in expurgated versions.
It is childish to study a work of fiction in order to gain information about a country or about a social class or about the author. And yet one of my very few intimate friends, after reading Lolita, was sincerely worried that I (I!) should be living “among such depressing people” —when the only discomfort I really experienced was to live in my workshop among discarded limbs and unfinished torsos.

HI THAT WAS ME IM SORRY TUMBLR ATE UR ASK. PERIL IS TRANS I KNOW HER ALSO INTEGRAL TO HER CHARACTER AND IM THE ONLY ONE WHO SEES IT(THATS BASICALLY THE ASK)
HII NO NEED TO BE SORRY TUMBLRS SYSTEM IS ASS!! THANK YOU SM FOR RESENDING THE ASK A <33 OKAY PERIL POST DO-OVER!!
Tumblr media
SPECTRUM USED FROM THIS POST!!!!!!!!!
OKAY SO I JUST DECIDED TO FILL THE WHOLE THING OUT! I headcanon Peril as Intersex and nonbinary!! AND SAME FOR ME, they fall fight between “I know them” and “their lore is literally impacted by their transsexualism”!! Peril is a very Nonbinary character to me, the way she was raised to view things as very “black & white” and hosting a sense of little self autonomy— makes them finding a comfortable identity in a very “”in the middle”” gender compelling! Especially within the understanding of how Peril was raised and brought up in someone else’s vision, being able to find self-identity in that nature of breaking down the “black & white” structure that was forced on them through the act of finding identity in neutrality. I find the development of self-love extended through gender expression in that nature something that works well in-unison with Peril’s pre-existing themes! Especially in regards to the layered metaphors of the Necklace. As a nonbinary person myself - I found that to be a pinnacle moment of forced suppression of identity into something more “palatable” to the public perception - in this analysis that being the forcing of femininity onto a gnc aligning identity - speaking to the way many nonbinary identity’s are expected to lean “one direction or the other”. So that moment being involved in Perils story - and her breaking free of it and having a self-realization/control moment - very reflective of nonbinary/gender non conforming experiences !!
With that though - thats just my own interpretation and connection to those aspects of Peril’s characterization! I find her lore and themes within her character to speak to many universal experiences of identity that can be interpreted in a fluid way. Like I personally read it as a very compelling arc about non-conformity and applied my own experiences with gender expression onto it, but other interpretations/analyses are just as strong! Thats why I put this headcanon in the middle, because I find it connects heavily to their lore, but is similarly just an extension of it and not necessarily interwoven in-full. Its a lot of personal interpretation which is why the personable “I know them” also 100% fits my perception of transgenderism onto Peril <33
Also the Intersex headcanon is purely a me thing, I always thought Peril was intersex just like. Factually lmao (one of those “I somehow convinced myself this was canon and was surprised to learn it was not” moments lmao). The reason I included it as well is because within my headcanon I think Peril would similarly absorb her being intersex to a further extension of gender identity! Again, breaking down those “black & white” views that were forced on them through themself - literally! Notably being intersex does not inherently mean gender identity is going to be impacted as well, just for this headcanon I feel Peril’s relationship to their gender identity would be strongly impacted by them being intersex <3 !!
OKAY SORRY THIS GOT LONG BUT THIS WAS FUN TO WRITE! TWICE ! LMAO! I have lots of thoughts on these guys so feel free to ask any questions about the other characters if ya want!!! I have many thoughts lmao…
Also I love analyzing these dragons so if anyone has a different interpretation of the characters & wanna share PLEASE DO!!!! I love hearing other perspectives, especially if they contrast my own interpretations, it’s all so cool!!!! <333

Totally Platonic: Sero Hanta
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Authors Note: I love Sero sm so I tried to give him something nice, cause he’s so worth it
Pronouns: He/Him
Word Count: 1338
Warning(s): not proof read, unannounced pov switches, a idiots in love prompt
You and Hanta were the best of friends. You have known each other since the two of you started school. Which was shocking to a lot of people, not many friendships last from the beginning of school all the way up to senior year in high school. Especially because the two of you almost never fought, at least not seriously anyway. Mainly because you guys have known each other long enough to know exactly how to communicate with one another when the other is thinking or feeling a certain way.
However, no matter how well the both of you guys were at communicating with each other, you both sucked at communicating your guys’ romantic feelings for the other. That much was obvious. Hell, neither of you guys even recognized you guys had romantic feelings for the other boy. Everyone in 3-A knew this. How did they know? Well it could’ve been the hand holding in the halls, the longing looks you sent each other when in class, the soft smiles you guys had when you see each other, or maybe even the way you both perk up when the other is mentioned in a conversation. However the rest of 3-A was never a hundred percent certain. That was until Denki Kaminari, everyone’s favorite loudmouth who can’t keep their questions to themselves, brought on a conversation with Hanta and the rest of the Bakuquad early in the morning.
“Sero dude! What’s up with you and L/n?” The blond asked. Hanta looked between Denki and you, who was sleeping with your head laying in your arms on your desk. Shooting Denki a questioning look, the blonde elaborated.
“I mean— like how inmate are you guys?” The ash blond, who was previously pretending he wasn’t listening in, whipped his head to Denki. “It’s intimate. Stupid dunceface.” Katsuki corrected, emphasizing the word ‘intimate’ before grumbling out curses.“Intimate! Right! Thanks Bakubro, I’m not used to using that word outside of text.” Denki laughed, ignoring Katsuki’s snappy ‘don’t call me that’ and reasked his question. “How intimate are you and L/n?”
Hanta looked at your sleeping figure before pointing at you. “That L/n?” Denki nodded vigorously as he leaned across his desk. “Me and Y/n are fine, I guess?”
Denki didn’t seem to like that answer and continued. “Would you kiss him?”
Hanta glanced at you and then back at Denki, thinking. With a hum he nodded to himself. “I mean, I’d totally make out with him but like— platonically, you know?”
Now if the other kids who were waiting for class to start weren’t listening before, they sure as hell are now. Hanta shot a questioning look to the class as he now realized everyone was staring at him. He was confused. Did he say something wrong? He just answered his friend’s question.
No one was really sure what to say to the ravenette. Like how does one respond to someone else saying they’d like to make out with someone platonically. That “someone” being their best friend.
After a moment of silence, Eijiro being the manly saint he was, spoke up for everyone else in the room. “… Serobro— my dude… you can’t make out with someone platonically.”
Hanta’s brows furrowed as he looked at the dyed redhead, attempting to see if he was messing with him before realizing the redhead was being serious. He let out an airy chuckle at his friend’s silliness. “Of course you can! We’ve done it like, so many times already.”
The class president, Iida, who was compelled to scold everyone in this conversation from the beginning but remained quiet due to his own curiosity, finally decided to speak up. “Sero! L/n! That is completely inappropriate!” He waved his hands in a chopping motion. Before he could continue to attempt to lecture Hanta and the sleeping male, who was unaware he was even being scolded in the first place, he was cut off by Katsuki.
“Are you serious right now, soy sauce?! Are you and lazy eyes that oblivious?!” The explosive blond shouted.
The noise making the other mentioned male stir in his sleep and slowly sit up from his desk, rubbing sleep out of his eyes. Katsuki snapped his head to the tired boy. “Oi! Lazy eyes! You like Soy sauce, right?!”
“Huh? Like soy sauce?… Do you mean Hanta?” Y/n said as he rubbed his right eye.
“Of course I mean him! Idiot!” The blond shouted, making most of the class flinch at the volume. The previously sleeping male just ignored the blond’s loudness and looked to his childhood friend before looking back at the ash blond.
“Yeah, of course I like Hanta.” He yawned.
“Thank god one of you knows how they feel about the other stupid extra!-“ Katsuki was cut off.
“Hanta is my-“ Y/n yawned again. “My best friend. Why wouldn’t I like him?”
The class watched as Katsuki’s left eye twitched. The blond was annoyed as hell at the two childhood friends. That much was clear.
With a harsh turn and click of the tongue Katsuki glared at both males before rubbing his temple with one hand and turning to sit back at his desk. “Idiots. You’re both idiots.” The ash blond grumbled curses under his breath before kicking his legs up onto his desk and arms behind his head, trying to relax before he stressed himself out. Iida immediately forgetting about being offended by being cut off earlier and turning his focus onto lecturing Katsuki about putting his feet on the desk.
With that everybody but the Bakusquad, minus Katsuki who’s getting lectured and Mina who wasn’t there yet, turned back to do their own things before school started. Some were pulling out their phones and texting the people who would totally want to know what went down but was unfortunately not present at the time, and told them all about what happened. Others preparing for class or getting lost in their own thoughts.
Hanta and Y/n shot each other a look before turning to Eijiro and Denki. “What the fuck was that about?” Hanta asked them.
Eijiro looked at Denki with a raised eyebrow before looking back to the ravenette.
“Nothing Serobro, don’t worry about it.” He smiled before turning back around in his seat and getting on his phone to do god knows what. Kaminari on the other hand pouted and turned around, no longer sitting in his seat backwards and using Hanta’s desk.
Y/n and Hanta turned back to each other, both giving each other a ‘what was that about’ look before frowning in confusion. Neither of them coming to an understanding of what just occurred. Y/n was sleeping during a good portion of the conversation so he was completely lost from the beginning. Hanta on the other hand was confused about what the hell their friends meant by their statements and random questions. Was something wrong with his and Y/n’s relationship? Were they implying they liked each other in a non-platonic way? Surely not right? Or were they just jealous that the two of them got along so well? That could be it… but Hanta doesn’t really feel like he could ever be that close with the rest of his friends, no matter how jealous they got. He isn’t completely sure why though.
All of a sudden Hanta was snapped from his thoughts as Aizawa Sensei came into the class. Apparently he had got so caught up in his confusion he didn’t realize his other classmates had entered the room and class had started.
The ravenette turned to his friend to get his attention knowing the [h/c] haired male probably went back to sleep. To Hanta’s surprise, he made eye contact with the other.
Yeah, things between them were totally platonic. The two smiled at each other and shared a short laugh before turning to face the front. Both unaware of their flushed faces and racing hearts were telling them the complete opposite.

I've never had a mystery plot so completely mapped out in my head that was so secondary to the actual Plot of a fic, please ask me all the questions about Oscar Underwood and Matthew Lannisford
(This is more of the conclusion to the Shipping Forecast trilogy, which at least now I have the excuse that I've been acting parent to my nephews this week and good lord jesus children are exhausting, how Ellie manages her kids AND managing Hardy is a mystery for the ages)
~
They duck back into her car just as the rain really starts in, hitting the roof and the windshield like a million angry football hooligans after a loss. "Christ, somebody ring Noah," Miller laughs, tugging at her hair elastic. "I think I've got a — yeah, here." She twists round in her seat to pull at something behind her.
Hardy gives her room to half-crawl into the backseat, the bottom of her shirt riding up to show a flash of stomach, the sweet give of her waist. He looks away, toward the house. "Do you think he's lying? About knowing about Underwood and his son?"
"I think," Miller grunts, "That he's been lying to himself for over a decade, and probably longer than that, and at this point it's impossible to tell what he thinks is true and what he doesn't. And of course, what he thinks is true might not even be true. Got it!" she adds, and flops back into her seat with a wrinkled towel. She begins patting gently at her hair, the rain still bright on her cheeks and neck. "This case is like one of those Russian dolls, you know, the wooden ones? Every time you think you've cracked it, there's another one waiting for you."
"Matryoshka," Hardy offers, watching her. Her nose is getting red, the way it always does when she's cold. "Turn the bloody heater on, would you?"
"Fine," she grumbles, and shoves the towel in his face.
"Thanks very much."
"Oh, it's barely damp. And your hair's going to go all sticky-uppy the way you hate if you just let it dry on its own." She turns the ignition and fiddles with the heater; a moment later lukewarm air blasts at their ankles. "God, this bloody car. Can you get me a raise so I can buy something from this century?"
"This is a 2005 Volkswagen," Hardy feels compelled to point out, but obediently scrubs at his scalp.
"So all right, say he's telling the truth, that he had no idea Underwood and Matthew were an item. Back in the 90s, that sort of thing — Matthew might never have said. Fathers and sons and all."
"We're still basing all of this on the idea that they were an item," he says. "There's no proof either way. They could've just been work colleagues."
Miller makes a considering noise. She's staring out through the windscreen, unseeing. "They were both out. Despite what Matthew's dad claims, we know neither of them made a secret about it. In a town like this, back then? Options would be limited."
"So you think they started shagging because they couldn't find anyone better?" Hardy can feel the sharpness in his own voice, but he can't seem to do much about it. The towel is scratchy against his skin, too rough, and smells of her shampoo.
"Maybe, or — I don't know." She doesn't seem fazed by his tone, but then she rarely notices it these days. "Underwood loved someone. Desperately, the sort of love that makes you do desperate things. Before he died, he wrote that letter, hoping whoever it was he loved would find it."
"Meaning what, exactly?" he demands, the towel creaking in his fists.
She turns to look at him, eyes large and dark and horribly beautiful. "Sometimes the right option is the only option you've got," she says, and Hardy can hardly breathe round the stone in his throat. Then she scowls at him, her gaze roving, and snatches the towel back. "You're still dripping, I just got the upholstery cleaned, come here," and she encases his whole head and shoulders in the towel while he protests, rubbing at him like he's a wet dog who'd got mud on the carpet.
"Bloody hell, Miller," he grumbles, once she's done to her satisfaction, and she smiles at him and puts the car into gear, taking them back toward home.

hiya dio!! tossing in 3 (honkai star rail? 👀), 5, and 15!!
hiya ian! thanks for shooting me an ask!!
3.) Go to the [honkai star rail] tag and reblog some art you like that has under 100 notes
aight i gotchu oomfie, ill search for stuff to queue up 😤😤
5.) What genre do you like reading the best?
angst and hurt/comfort 🔛🔝!!!
it's painful, it's good, and it makes emotional processing so much easier and less burdensome because the difficulty goes into finding an okay sentence and stringing together ok-ish dialogue (but at least those can be solved with a banger ass playlist, ykw?)
augh special mention to one of my formative twst fics i love that grim has such a big role in this
15.) Worst fanfic tropes ever?
NOO!!!! U CANT MAKE ME SAY BAD THINGS ABT FANFIC!!! ALL FANFIC IS GOOD WHEN IT IS MADE WITH HEART!!!
(did i say bridal carry? ill just say it again for funsies HAHAHA i dont like bridal carries, it doesn't spark any joy, please just carry me like this🤧👇👇)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i'm usually really open-minded with reading fanfics... so aside from the obvious fanfic writing sins (using generative AI, plagiarism, not doing enough careful research for sensitive topics) OH WAIT--
(this is probably specific to genshin/hyv) but i Reaaaaally don't like it when fandom infantilizes characters that use the teenage model. like, there is such a thing as short adults! (me. i am one of them!) one time i saw someone say that lynette was probably a year younger than lyney and i was confused bcs aren't they twins??? like, are we forgetting that lynette was the primary "errand-goer" for the house of hearth upon getting her vision? girlie's probably seen more shit than lyney did.
^^semi-related to infantilizing characters, i dont like how some obm fics treat luke as a literal toddler. like, yes he's immature but he's got a good head on his shoulders and even if he's a low-ranked angel he probably has sm powers that he can make use of to protect MC. and i esp see how he gets left out even in gen/platonic fics and hcs. smtimes i feel compelled to look at the game's shitty pop quiz events for fanfic fuel (i mean, the luke tag has more ppl saying not to sexualize him than actual writing and that bugs me ://)
There used to be this really good obm fanfic (Nightmare by StarsEncrusted) and it had a plot point of helping luke get his wings, but it++the author's orig account got deleted from ao3. thankfully some fans had the foresight to archive it, so heres a wayback link to the fic and the accompanying side stories
i guess to expound more on my aversion to marriage in fanfic, it icks me when the characterization stops feeling like the characters themselves and the fic starts feeling heteronormative (also sometimes the writing comes across as if the marriage/childbirth "fixes" all those issues, which, it doesn't) and, well, i already kind of deal with the idea of "getting settled down" shoved in my face. it's really not for me. but i do understand why it's comforting to people, smtimes i can indulge in reading in it. but on a bad day, nah, i can't.
anyway, also special shout out to chat fics, they can be fun but idk it reads to me as a way to regurgitate overused incorrect quotes. (please some vines need to be laid to rest. also, can we stop quoting that one copaganda show oh my god)
(art appreciation ask questions, please bug me to rb some underrated fic and art)

What are your top 5 fics by kudos? You can lean on my arm as you break my heart, Millennia Gate, A Slave For God, церковь в огне, and Must Have Been the Wind
Do you respond to comments? I try to always respond to comments! I love comments so so much and if someone is taking the time to tell me how they feel about my fic then they deserve to hear back from me ❤️🙏‼️ often times all I can think to say is a heart felt thank u, but I want the ppl who get something from my writing to know how much it means to me
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? this is a tough one bcus a lot of my fics are straight up heart attacks. I usually end up defaulting to a small bit of hope to end things off when I go rlly dark, and the only time I didn’t do that was with “You can lean on my arm as you break my heart”, which is probably my darkest fic anyway. A handful of my fics end ambiguously bleak like that but I think the intensity of that one makes the sort of ambiguous sort of bleak ending extra upsetting. But most of my fics end badly
What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Definitely “A vile hunger for your hammering heart” haha. That is one of my favorite fics I’ve written but it’s so niche and stupid it rarely gets any attention 😭🙏
Do you get hate on fics? I only ever got a hate comment once on my tiny Drabble collection, for tagging it as bpd cuz lestat was displaying some heavy bpd traits and they didn’t like that ig. I deleted the comment and vagued them on my tumblr and they showed up in my ask box so I hope this doesn’t summon them 💀. It was funny tho! Rlly rlly confusing stuff😭. But nah otherwise not rlly, which is surprising to me cuz I write some stuff definitely hate worthy 🙏but I don’t think hate is super common on a03, at least in this fandom
Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yeah sometimes. I only can rlly write smut that’s traumatic and unhealthy 😭. I wrote happy smut once in my life, in “it must’ve been the wind”. Otherwise I write evil smut
Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? I honestly am not a fan of crossovers 💔
Have you ever had a fic stolen?I hope not! 😭. But no I don’t think so.
Have you ever had a fic translated? I wish!
Have you ever co-written a fic before? I consider my claim to fame “millennia gate” to be co written, but it technically isn’t written by two ppl lol. I write it and my boyfriend helps me brainstorm and edit
What’s your all time favorite ship? Daniel x Armand, for sure. Weirdly enough I’ve only ever written and published Drabbles about them. I’ve been planning to write more of them tho 🙏‼️
What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I hate this evil ass question 😭 I don’t want to say millennia gate bcus I love her and so many ppl love her but I’ve rlly been struggling to find motivation to write her lately. Millennia gate is a reflection of such a specific time in my life and I used it to vent a bunch of issues I was having, and it’s hard for me to tap into that now that I’ve grown sm as a person. I think and hope that inspiration will come back to me tho cuz I hate the idea of abandoning her 🙏 my love child truly.
What are your writing strengths? I’ve been told I’m good at writing dialogue, themes, and pacing. Ive also been told im good at understanding and portraying characters in a way that’s true to the source material+ compelling, which is good cuz I write fanfic lol. A lot of ppl read my fics cuz they like my metas, so I think that’s a strong suit. I’m also a freak for metaphors 😭 oh my god I use elaborate figurative language in casual conversation, it’s bad. The best praise I ever got was from a teacher, she said I write like Anne rice but way better 😭. I don’t rlly think that’s true, but I love it.
What are your writing weaknesses? I find it hard to be subtle and let my writing speak for itself, I tend to hammer things home a bit too strongly so that the effectiveness wears off. I always fight the urge to write big blocks of unnecessary text just so the audience knows what I’m getting at, over explaining and stuff. I struggle with writing sentences that aren’t super long and clunky. I’m rlly bad with grammar. I can’t spell 😭. I also am blind to the quality of my own writing and tend to over edit unnecessarily cuz I find it hard to open up to beta readers
Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I do it all the time. I don’t use google translate, I try to use more deluxe sources when I write in languages I don’t speak because I’d be so embarrassed if I got something wrong 😭. But I rarely write in a language I don’t speak for more then a sentence or two. Once someone who speaks French commented that they loved that they could read the French in my Lestat fic and I was so happy and relieved it was coherent to someone who speaks the language 😭
First fandom you wrote for? The first fandom I wrote for was technically the how to train your dragon books in my childhood notebook, but the first fanfic I ever published was for Harry Potter. I remember it was an angsty backstory fic about Remus lupin, lmao.
Favorite fic you’ve written? it changes, but right now it’s церковь в огне, because I re read and think about it as if it’s a fic I haven’t written 😭. But I have my favorite memories attached to “must have been the wind”, “A vile hungering for your hammering heart” and Millennia gate. Those last three have started inside jokes with me and my friends, and r often quoted to me 😭 so definitely I consider them favorites thank u again for the tag Finn!! Using SMS API for Effective Webinar Follow-Ups
In today's digital era, webinars have become a staple for businesses to engage with their audience, share knowledge, and promote their products or services. However, the success of a webinar does not end with the presentation. Effective follow-up is crucial to maximize engagement and convert attendees into loyal customers. One of the most efficient ways to ensure timely and impactful follow-ups is by using an SMS API. This article explores how leveraging an SMS Gateway API and Bulk SMS Service can enhance your webinar follow-up strategy.
Tumblr media
What is an SMS API?
An SMS API (Application Programming Interface) allows businesses to integrate SMS messaging into their existing systems, applications, or websites. This integration enables automated sending and receiving of text messages, making communication with customers more streamlined and efficient. By using an SMS Gateway API, businesses can send bulk messages, schedule texts, and personalize communication to enhance customer experience.
Benefits of Using SMS API for Webinar Follow-Ups
Instant Communication: An SMS API ensures your follow-up messages are delivered instantly. Unlike emails that might get lost in spam folders, text messages have a significantly higher open rate, ensuring your attendees receive and read your messages promptly.
Personalization: With an SMS Gateway API, you can personalize your follow-up messages by addressing recipients by their names and tailoring the content based on their interactions during the webinar. Personalized messages can significantly improve engagement rates.
Automation: An SMS API allows for the automation of follow-up messages. You can schedule messages to be sent at specific times, ensuring timely reminders and updates without manual intervention.
High Engagement Rates: Text messages have an incredibly high open rate compared to emails. By using a Text Message API, you ensure that your follow-up messages are read by a larger percentage of your audience, increasing the chances of engagement and conversion.
Cost-Effective: Utilizing a Bulk SMS Service for webinar follow-ups is cost-effective compared to other forms of communication. It provides a high return on investment by enhancing Customer engagement at a lower cost.
Implementing SMS API for Webinar Follow-Ups
Step 1: Choose the Right SMS Gateway API
Selecting the right SMS Gateway API is crucial for the success of your follow-up strategy. Look for an API that offers reliability, scalability, and ease of integration with your existing systems. Ensure the API provider supports bulk messaging, scheduling, and personalization features.
Step 2: Integrate the SMS API with Your Webinar Platform
Integrating the SMS API with your webinar platform enables seamless communication. Ensure that the integration allows you to capture attendee details, track interactions, and send automated follow-up messages based on specific triggers.
Step 3: Segment Your Audience
Segmenting your audience based on their interactions during the webinar allows you to send targeted follow-up messages. Use the data collected during the webinar to create segments such as active participants, those who asked questions, and those who attended but did not engage. This segmentation helps in sending relevant messages that resonate with each group.
Step 4: Craft Compelling Follow-Up Messages
Your follow-up messages should be concise, clear, and compelling. Highlight key takeaways from the webinar, provide additional resources, and include a clear call to action. Personalize the messages to make your audience feel valued and appreciated.
Step 5: Schedule and Automate Messages
Utilize the scheduling feature of your SMS Gateway API to send follow-up messages at optimal times. Automate reminders, thank-you messages, and additional resources to keep your audience engaged post-webinar.

when you have time, would you ever be willing to talk about how you think ronan and renee each view religion? like what it means for them/what they get out of it/why they choose to follow it when so many other people (esp their age) don't seem to?
you betcha babe, I’m gonna give a little of my experience for ref, if that’s okay?
There are only three things that lodge in my mind about the ten years of my life I spent going to church every Sunday:
1. I got to dress up, Sunday best, pinched cheeks as my accessory. If I was lucky they’d let me and one of my brothers carry the candle and bible to the front, and I’d have a staring contest with the flame while we trailed after the choir procession. Everyone watched, endeared by the children symbolically carrying protestantism in their chubby hands. I liked that church was gaudy. I liked that there was a script, and that I got to sing and shake hands with strangers.
2. If there’s a God, I thought he belonged to me. He was the helpline that was always open. Religion was offered up to me like a wish-granting factory. Believing in something is hard work, and it kept me entertained, for a while. If I was in trouble, or if I really, really wanted something, I dialled God’s number. I had private fights with God. I wished on him and hated him and forgot him.
3. My brother and I used to sneak off and explore the church before service started. I vividly remember sneaking through the supply cupboard down what we thought were “secret” stairs. My brother is older, and I would’ve followed him even if he lead me straight past the floorboards of the musty church to hell. We found something new every week. It’s amazing what can feel like an endless gothic castle when you’re seven. Sometimes I think of my brother as he was then, clever and funny and absolutely everything I wanted to be, and I ache to be in the quiet of the church basement, asking him about the dusty props in the corner, spinning in my pretty red dress for the wall to wall mirrors, happily lied to about the secrets and magic and God all around us.
I think Renee sits somewhere around a more dedicated number two, and Ronan is a 1-2-3 — heavy on the three.
Renee wants to keep her hands busy. She tried carving herself a new future and it turned out to be a double-sided knife, slicing her hands in the process. God is more than a second chance for her, he is something to constantly, relentlessly pursue. When Renee says she’s trying very hard to be a good person, she means it. Believing in God is a struggle for her. The world is cruel (or like. the people in it, Neil, okay, same diff), and scrubbing the blood away so she can look God in the face is almost impossible when it keeps welling up (taking her friends, throwing her prayers away).
Renee needs that prayerful helpline on speed-dial. She needs the hard work or she might fade away. Religion is her new talisman, the handle of a new, sturdy weapon, and she keeps it as her defence, something to learn and use and put away when she needs to.
She’s not casually religious, she’s putting all her money on God. Christianity is really and truly all she had before she met the foxes.
It’s gruelling, being a “bad person” and believing in God, trying to understand A) what you are, B) why you’ve been made only to be treated so poorly, C) How you’re supposed to lever your burden up and keep believing, how to make amends
—which is where Ronan comes in.
please God what am I, tell me what I am
Sometimes I think Renee and Ronan would respect each other too much to be friends.
Ronan is in a self-loathing depression a mile wide when we meet him, and he sees himself as a bad person trying to be a bad person (until the day that he fights some demons, gets some help, digs himself free, and actively tries to be good)
His life is a shitshow of loss and longing, and he’s absolutely ravenous for answers. He doesn’t even doubt God, he just wants to brawl with him for a while there, call the bastard down and piss in his cornflakes, you know
Religion isn’t hard for Ronan. It’s the number 1 I mentioned before, something he can perfect and impress with. I bet he even liked how good he looked in his crisp shirt before everything went down, unbuttoned at the collar like his father’s. He likes an honest, unrepentant performance.
I bet he was determined to believe in God that little bit more than everyone else, memorize the bible verses (he likes learning niall’s languages, and those were largely latin, holy, or slurred and drunk)
He also called passages out like his father did for being “rubbish” whenever things got too close to condemning their magic, their Otherness. He’s a selective Catholic in a lot of ways, hand-picking the good stuff because he knows that religion belongs to him, that it’s exactly what he makes it.
His dad taught him that what was in his head was the only real thing other than God. Ronan negotiates the two. When he’s brave enough, and okay enough, he pins his sexuality to God’s forehead and dares him to have a problem with it.
Renee goes to church to think, and so does Ronan. When everything gets a bit much, and gore fills their heads up, the church is their sanctuary.
Where it’s a puzzle for Renee though, it’s easy for Ronan. Old hat. He walks into the church and he feels the incense and dust fold around him like his mother’s dreamy embrace. He asks questions to the empty pews like he’s talking to his dead father. Renee walks in feeling unworthy, feeling too big for the vaulted ceilings, and she gropes for God’s hand in the dark. (The first time she prays and she feels like she’s being heard, she cries. She goes home to her new mother and cries some more, her past in tatters, her future tasting of sacramental wine.)
More than anything though, Ronan is lost in number 3′s nostalgia
As you may have gathered, Catholicism IS Ronan’s father, wow, nifty,
He goes to church for the comfort and the sting, just like visiting Niall’s grave. His religion is a relic from his childhood, when they were so arrogant about how their lives would play out.
I’ll bet you anything that Ronan walks into church, breathes in, and tastes his first swig of alcohol under his father’s watchful eye, not flinching because he wouldn’t. He sees Declan-Ronan-Matthew, heads bowed over abridged Sunday school bibles, Matthew pleasantly not following along, Declan pointing out the bad illustrations so that Ronan snorts. His mother smiling placidly and combing her hand through his hair until he focuses enough to sing hymns with the rest of the crowd. His father boasted the largest voice in the room. Declan was embarrassed. Matthew and Aurora delighted. Ronan’s mouth curled like dead leaves because his father could make a scene like no one else.
Ronan’s relationship with God can’t be snipped because it was cast in iron, welded in place by Niall Lynch when he burnt his way out of Ronan’s atmosphere.
Renee’s faith can’t be stomped out because she’s shielding it with absolutely everything she has. (Andrew understands her faith because he gets what it’s like to protect your hope even if parts of you have to die.)
End of the day, foxes or ravens, their friends aren’t religious for a lot of reasons — not raised with it, hurts too much, they need proof, etc, etc
but they all understand the way it sits with Renee/Ronan
they know that religion is a pattern that holds them together, a someone when there’s absolutely no one, a lil flickering reminder of the things they’ve lost & hurt for
I think I lost my religious inclinations because I wasn’t willing to fight for it tbh
but man Ronan and Renee are nothing if not fighters

Tumblr media
Cases that dealt with children being the main death were difficult ones for everyone on the team. The children who passed reminded you of a younger you, one when life didn’t have as many hardships and you looked upon it with hope and love.
During this one, you were able to find the unsub. You were called down in Montana after two children’s bodies had been dug up, all ranging from the age of six to nine. Different genders, different races, but they were all older siblings.
While there another body was dug up and a child had gone missing. You were in charge of looking into the children that passed more with a few other coworkers, finding the similarity’s and where this person had taken the kids.
You were also tasked with telling one of the families that the body of their missing child had been dug up. It was a difficult task, watching the mother hold the young son who just looked so hopefully up at you.
He had that bright shine in his eyes, like nothing could ever dull it, his sister would be found and everything would be okay. Yet, she was found but not in the way someone would wish. You swear you could see that light actually dim, he understood what that meant and all his mother could do was drop to her knees and pull him into her chest.
You had to leave, to compel yourself and let the grieving family have their own space. It was a hard thing for you to do, one that you’ve done before but it never got easier. It filled your heart with more determination to stop that other family of the missing boy to have to feel like that.
You never missed a day, you stayed up late on your own, building profiles and trying to truly out everything together. Finally, you had gotten somewhere and matched with what your team members had gathered, you figured out who the unsub was and how to get him.
Storming into the home, guns aimed and loaded, taking a final breath while you checked the kitchen to see that small boy with a few bruises, cleaning pots and pans while the team ventured up the steps.
You quickly put your gun away, moving closer to him with a small step and opening your arms, telling him who you were and how you were here to bring him home.
Hotch and Reid had put the unsub in custody and you were blesssed with showing the child to his waiting family, with tears streaming down and a small smile on their lips. It was like they were children again with that same gleam.
It was like it was reflecting in your own eyes at that one moment before you had a tap on your shoulder. turning to face the police officer who had found a body in the mans basement, wrapped in a carpet and now another family needing to hear the news of their child being dead.
Getting on the plane, and the thought of finally being home, was a welcoming one, something you really needed at this moment.
Sitting at your normal seat besides Rossi, Derek moved to sit across and Hotch as well, everyone else filtering into the other seats open on the small jet.
You watched as the man pulled out a bottle of alcohol once the jet had taken off and was now gliding through the air. Derek had dozed off, Hotch now working on some paperwork, and you just were in your head.
“What’s wrong with you, bellissima?” Rossi questioned, bringing the glass to his lips as you scooted a little in your chair to face him better.
(beautiful)
“Nothing, nothing, just tired,” You mumbled, rubbing your eyes to try and play off the fact more.
“Are you sure, I have a feeling there is something else apart of that.”
“It was hard telling that family about their child,” You finally admitted, taking a deep breath before continuing. “I wish we could’ve made it sooner, or someone could’ve stopped him sooner.”
“You can’t blame yourself for that. We did catch him and saved the other boy, remember that.”
“I know, but when I was leaving where we caught him, one of the cops told me that they had found yet another body. Another family now going to have to be notified.”
“Ah, think of it this way. At least the family will have closure, at least they can stop their restless search for their child and know that now he is finally okay and at peace. It means more for them to know what happened to their child than to wonder for years about it.”
“I suppose you’re right, that’s a good point,” You whispered, looking up at him with a small smile as he moved his drink your way and lifted up the arm rest separating your two. Moving his arm to the top of your shoulders and pulling you into his side.
“Thank you, now, that’s some expensive liquor, so drink with care,” You laughed at his comment, taking a hand and bringing it to your lips, looking at his which had a bit of the liquor around his beard. His tongue moving up to swipe the bit as you finished your sip, placing the glass back down.
“You say that as if you don’t down your own drinks,” You moved it back to him, as his own mouth upturned into a grin, laughing a bit.
“Good point,” He tilted the drink, now back into his grasp, your way. “You always make such good points, Y/n. Maybe, that is why we are such a great match?”

Woahhhh your art is so good!!!! I adore how you use colours sm!! Could I ask if you have any advice on environment design? I love how you draw backgrounds and I've always wanted to learn more about coming up with settings for a story ~Aqua
Thank you!!! :D
I get this question pretty often and never really know what to say - there's so many avenues of advice to give, and difficult to tailor it in an AOE (area of effect? howdy ya do gamers im a bit of a gamer myself please believe me) format. Be aware that my "advice" may not be the thing you need to hear or apply right now, so maybe just store it away in the back of your brain for a while, or just discard it if you feel like you're past that point or moving in a complete different direction with your current art level.
But here we go, a little tidbit about environment design for story-telling (sorry long post):
A game I like to play with myself is "what if X... but Y". Like madlibs - what if [bookshelf] ... but it's [meat]. (I'm sitting beside my bookshelf and I just ate haha). Ok, now let's answer that - why would there be a bookshelf of meat? Maybe I'm a nerdy butcher, who collects exotic meat samples. Maybe the meats are monstrous and I'm a demon taxonomist. But meat decays so quickly! How would I keep them? Maybe I preserve them with a magic balm, or my bookshelf is so high tech it keeps the collection of meats cold through uhhhhhh cryo.... cryo uhhhh technology. Maybe I'm a meat wizard and these meat slabs carry runes that I can read and use to do ... Weird Meat Magic. Maybe I have a magical BBQ and I need to grill selected meats to release their Magic Juices. OH, FIRE! What if one day, my house gets set on fire (malevolent spirit? stupid accident?) and my bookshelf full of meats all gets cooked at once, releasing a Pandora's Box swarm of magical atrocities into the world? And now it's my mission to hunt them all down, butcher knife and tongs in hand. Actually wait this is a banger idea for both a Yan NPC AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND a DND character LMAO
But with this utterly random framework, we've already set down a couple world and story design beats to riff off of - there's Meat based Magic, there might be an Enemy somewhere who hates me and my meats, Meat = Jail for Evil Demons and I was a sort of prison warden? Now I have to work in a scene where I say "my MEAT IS HUGE" or "I've FINALLY BEATEN... MY MEATS". I want to design what my meat bookshelf looks like, and how it preserves the meats - different kinds of compartments for different kinds of meat! a special section for seafood? - my home and how the evil spirit got into it to commit arson, and what kind of person would live in a home like that. That's when worldly knowledge and research come in - I'd want to research real cryoprotective tech to help design the bookshelf, maybe base the meat demon designs off of... uh... I dunno? Metallica/KISS facepaint patterns? Rorschach test patterns?
Two skills help a lot in the process of grabbing idea threads and developing them: 1. Expanding your mental library of Concepts and Things and 2. Just being Curious about the world! Constantly asking questions and making little headcanons and never shutting up. Think of it as trying to entertain yourself!
Anyway this is just one quick way to get the brain rolling on world design! Sometimes you'll play "what if X... but Y" and come to a dead-end or realize you've just re-made homestuck (valid), so just try again with another set of concepts, or pick a train of thought you liked from your first game and expand on that. And of course you can always go back and change your ideas - like, maybe instead of a meat bookshelf I think a seed bookshelf would be cooler. I dunno. The point is to fully explore your ideas and through that, assign meaning to them so that they are compelling.
So tldr: read and learn things to expand your knowledge base, be curious, and try to connect cool visuals with a clear reason for their existence.

ok i respect ur jojo opinions sm so i HAVE to know what you have to say about the phf characters......murolo character of all time<3
AHHFH omg thank you for asking. im so sorry im getting back to you like literally a week late BUT that actually did give me time to reread the book w this ask in mind akjldfkl also sorry for putting it under a readmore i tried sooo hard to keep it brief
i love the characters a lot!! (like the little bit at the beginning abt how it's a story abt people incapable of making decisions?? i have thoroughly eaten that shit up i LOVE those types of characters.)
i like how the book portrays fugo and tbh i was not a huge fan of his character before i read it lkajdfljk. not that i didn’t like him i just like didnt get his motives. but then i read it and i was like OH ! of course. HE doesn’t get his motives EITHER and thats the PROBLEM.
anyway i havent gasped out loud during a fight in a book in a while but the shit he does w the capsules at the end GOT ME the first time!!! dude went crazy i love it
i really enjoy this part w sheila
“At length, she said, “Giorno said this to me. ‘You take me for an honest man because you yourself are honest.’“
“Hunh?”
“I asked Mista the same question. He said he thought Giorno was lucky, someone who’d bring luck to the team. You see what I mean?” (63)
bc of the fact that she picked up on people seeing their own traits in giorno when like. you can draw parallels between her and ANY character in va and make a compelling case. (fugo does it with narancia and trish like. in the book). anyway i like sheila e a lot i think weird teenage girls deserve more rep.
i also agree with giorno toward the end and i hope she learns to pull back and learn maybe 1 or 2 self preservation instincts. perhaps. i think that having some friends will help
murolo literally character of all time!!! i would like to smoke a blunt with him!! i like that his motivation matches the way his stand acts (bc ultimately it kind of boils down to I Want Approval From My Boss. and all along the watchtower demands applause in exchange for prophecies. like it’s just so fun and On Brand for stands = souls)
i also think the narcotics team were a really good set of villains. maybe controversial maybe not idk but i kind of feel like they were the blueprint for the way the assassins were portrayed in the anime ajkldjfk

OK OK you know that scene in Night of the Living Pharmacists where Isa pulls her belt and her pink outfit just TRANSFORMS into the Fireside Girl uniform as she just puts her hat on out of nowhere?
Tumblr media
THIS SCENE LIVES RENT FREE IN MY BRAIN IT’S JUST THE COOLEST THING WE LOVE A QUICK CHANGE!!!!!! (Her shoes even change color like! WHAT SORCERY IS THIS???) I love both of her regular outfits, but I’m especially fond of the pink one because I’ve drawn it so much (I wish it was in CATU for more than just the images in the beginning!)
I also really her “Helen” outfit in “Troy Story”!!! I LOVE the curly hair and all the accessories (I’ve also always thought togas were cool—yes i went through a Greek mythology phase🤣—and would have LOVED to have a costume like this as a kid). And it reminds me of Meg from Hercules!!
Tumblr media
ALRIGHT ON TO THE NEXT QUESTION!!!!
10. My favorite moment with them in canon
OK we’re gonna attempt to do separate and together (which will be hard because i love them sm)
Phineas: Oblivious Phineas is just. The best. And not just oblivious-to-Isabella’s-romantic-feelings-Phineas, but Oblivious-to-sarcasm-Phineas, oblivious-to-Candace-wanting-to-get-him-in-trouble-Phineas, it’s just SO FUNNY (and also #relatable). There’s this scene in “The Mom-Attractor” where he falls for Candace’s sarcasm and is like “woAH you got me, FERB she got me! I totally fell for it!!” Like, I’m not even particularly fond of that episode but that scene has stuck with me recently, both because it’s relatable AND because he takes falling for Candace’s sarcasm in stride and views it as a testament to her sarcasm skills rather than a shortcoming on his part. It’s just a nice way of viewing life, I could use that kind of thinking more often😅
Isabella: Ok I love all the scenes where she gets mad about someone else using her catchphrase or insulting Phineas, they crack me up🤣. ALSO her final moment to be the hero in NOtLP when everyone else is infected, that is JUST!!! PEAK CINEMA!!!! I love that she got to be the final hero!!!!!! IT’S SO GOOD. Also the “ominous patch related threat” bit in CATU, I would tattoo that scene to my forehead if I could.
BOTH OF THEM: My favorite Phinabella moment is the sunset scene in “Summer Belongs To You.” It captures their relationship dynamic (and what makes it compelling) SO WELL and shows how much they care for one another. It’s one of my favorite scenes in anything ever. Like….Isa realizing she’d rather Phineas be true to himself even if it means losing a “romantic” moment with him? Phineas exclaiming that she’s the best and giving her a hug?? FANTASTIC CONTENT MY FRIENDS FANTASTIC CONTENT!!!!!! (And also the scene in LDOS when Phineas breaks the fourth wall and mentions Isa kissing him and then REFERENCES THEIR FUTURE AND WINKS AT HER IT’S JUST!!!!! GAH!!!! I LOVE IT!!!)
Thank you for the ask!!!!!

I saw that you got an ask questioning why Taehyung even bother to reply to that shipper (which resulted in the infamous ‘get out of your imagination’) and I just couldn’t help thinking back to the whole situation and the ridiculousness that ensued afterwards.
Taehyung could have simply ignored it. Undoubtedly he would have seen those kinds of comments before from fans, I don’t believe that it would have been anything new. But instead he choose to answer in such a blatant and harsh way. I think they even deleted it. Judging from his answer he didn’t see it as a little innocent comment like some shippers want you to believe. Taehyung wasn’t amused in the slightest.
After that whole thing went down I know some taekookers on YouTube (but I can bet on other SM sites as well) started arguing with jikook shippers saying I t was a mistranslation, what he meant is “don’t think about my boyfriend”, he’s just protecting JK by acting like that and you get the gist. It seems big TK accounts had started spinning it in a way that still made it look positive to their fellow deluded followers.
I saw this nasty back and forth on a regular jikook vid completely unrelated to what taehyung said, but some idiotic jikooker went replying to old comments from stray taekookers about how they “won” (I hate that mentality that some shippers adopt so much) hence arguing, bashing members, and belittling the boys relationship began. Utterly ridiculous and upsetting. In the end, the take away is don’t cross the line. Not just taekook shippers but jikook, vmin whoever you ship. It’s all fun and games until one of the boys basically tells you to cut that shit out while low key insulting how you think, imo anyway.
Hi, anon. (Sorry for my lack of enthusiasm, but I've really just had it for today.)
Thanks for your submission, I'm sure a lot of people who were unfamiliar with that at the time--myself included--would appreciate this background.
I can't pretend to know what Taehyung was feeling at the time, if there was any aggressiveness in how he meant it, but he obviously felt compelled to say something. The fact he said anything at all tells me how he feels about being shipped.
I don't really understand the petty back-and-forth between shippers either. Every time Jkkrs say they won, it only encourages Tkkrs to do the same when they have a leg up on Taekook content... like now. Technically, if you participate in this rubbish, they're "winning." The whole thing is really icky. But the fact that all of these social media posts are now additional "trophies" to be "won," it's just going to get uglier, I think, because their personal IGs are now intentional curations, and there are plenty of implications there that toxic shippers can blow out of proportion.
