He's so lost... poor baby. Expect a lot of questions (some of which get repeated) from him about how the game works. He's going to be overwhelmed with the buttons and stuff around his character.

You think 5 minutes is more than enough to put together an outfit, but somehow Isagi comes out of the runway without hair or with a bunch of clothes layered on top of each other.

He also asks how you do the poses on the runway.

"Hey, what's pose 28?"

HE RATES SUPER HIGH, so you're over there pouting 'cuz he's helping these 10 year old children win.

"This one's really nice. She's got a big bow on her head." / "But the theme is sad day, Yoichi..." / "And? Won't a big bow make it a happy one?"

Gets a bit sad 'cuz he gets rated low even if he rated all the others with 4 or 5 stars. Awww...

Expect that he will always use the most blinding colors known to man. He's gonna walk out on that runway looking like a traffic light.

He's so noisy when he plays. It's like he's commentating everything that's happening to him as if he has a whole stream going on. But in reality, it's just the two of you.

Spams pose 28 because all of the other cool ones aren't free.

Says "slay" every time he walks out because you said it once to him.

But if he's on a losing streak, he'll suddenly go quiet and focus more lol.

You had to reprimand him and tell him to apologize to the girl. But with his pride, he only allowed himself to rate her 5 stars the next round as his way of saying sorry.

So mean to everyone else, but will always compliment your outfit even the ones you barely put effort in. You're starting to wonder whether or not it was condescending or heartfelt...

HE'S SUPER GOOD AT IT? It's to the point that you're jealous because his rank's way higher than yours.

"Just type M3RM4ID in that box." / "It's not working." / "Did you type the E as a 3 and the A as a 4?" / "What?" / "Never mind, gimme your Ipad."

He definitely knows all the codes that unlocks the hidden special items of the game. Plus, he's super into the lore as well. The nail technician? You bet he's going to talk about her extensive lore.

Super efficient when putting together an outfit. He's got a whole routine down to a T.

He actually rates outfits objectively—not too low and never too high.

ᯓ Shidou Ryusei

"HAHAHA WHAT'S UP WITH THAT WHACK ASS OUTFIT? #############"

He has also made a kid cry before. But unlike Kaiser, he doesn't listen to you and doubles down on it. Just an absolute menace all around.

He's definitely muted by the other people in the server because regardless of what he says, no one is responding to him. So there's only you left to talk to him.

Doesn't even try to put together a decent outfit. You're not even sure if he reads the theme at all because he walks out on the runway looking like the personification of a fever dream.

"Haha look. This pose makes it look like I'm thrusting in the air." / "Ryu! Oh my gosh..."

Definitely has been banned from Roblox before and he's using a new account to play with you.

Everything he types just shows up as hashtags at this point...

ᯓ Nagi Seishirou

"This theme is such a hassle... when is it going to be the pajama party theme?"

He already plays Roblox to begin with, but he needed extra convincing from you to play Dress to Impress because he didn't see the thrill in it.

He was only convinced when he saw you rage quitting after losing with such a fabulous outfit. He realized the competitive aspect of it and decided to play with you.

Nagi doesn't realize it but his rotation consists of the same tops and bottoms, so his outfits always come out looking the same. This leads him to losing all the time.

He definitely complains when the runway has too many players. Like... when is it going to end?

"Sei! Did you just tell the kids in the server to leave? What the hell?" / "Yah. They were making the line too long and I don't wanna wait."

Also complains when he doesn't show up in the top 3 even though he didn't really put any effort into his outfit.

ᯓ Reo Mikage

"Hey, babe, look. I bought the VIP. Want me to buy it for you too?"

HE'S SO PAY TO WIN. He's a VIP player, has all the pose packs, and literally everything you can buy in the game. He's not shy about flaunting it to the other players in the lobby.

He'll spend the first minute in the VIP area then walk all smug in the cOmMoNeR's area wearing the biggest fuck-you dress ever.

If the theme is anything normal, he'll still manage to make the outfit look high-end.

Trust that he'll spam all the expensive poses once he's on the runway. The little rascal would be smirking to himself as he presses the different poses.

Reo grumbles to himself when he loses. He can't help but be annoyed when he gets only a few stars while literally wearing a dress that costs thousands of robux.

"I was literally wearing the biggest ball gown and I still lost? What the fuck."

ᯓ Chigiri Hyoma

"Hm? Oh, yeah. I gave you 5 stars. Yeah, for sure... for sure."

SUPER COMPETITIVE! Not even you are safe from aggressive dressing and impressing.

You two will be in duos, but he'll always one up you.

Aryū: "Little by little, the Blue Lock folks are starting to get a taste of 'Osha.' But in truly 'Osha' moments, people shine. I swear here that one day I’ll show that!"

Niko: "I was caught washing my forehead by Aryū-kun. It was embarrassing. But he taught me, 'Embarrassment is an important emotion that makes us human.' I became interested in Aryū-kun. I want to know a little more about this 'Osha' thing."

“Hyoma...” Shika Sotomi, Chigiri's girlfriend for three months, sang. “Let's go together. Aw man, we're gonna be in different classes in 3rd Year. I'm so sad.”

“We're in the same school.” Chigiri reminded, the couple was walking to the Rajitsu Tech soccer club. “We can see each other any time.”

“That's not what I'm trying to say.” Shika pouted. “You're the school's top player, you're gonna go pro when you're older.”

“Sorry, Hyoma.” Shika called out after school some time later. “I promised to hang with a friend today. I can't go home with you.”

“Got it.” Chigiri waved her apologies off and headed off for soccer practice.

“Sorry, I've got a new boyfriend.” Shika called Chigiri out shortly after he tore his ASL. “Let's break up.”

“Boyfriend?” the redhead was taken aback. “You 'have' one, even though we haven't even broken up?”

“Keisuke-kun asked me to go out with me yesterday.” Shika shrugged. “I didn't wanna let him get away because he's got more potential than you. Anyway, now that you're injured, I have no use for you anymore.”

Time passes, in the Manshine City soccer team hostel...

25-year-old Chigiri received an email on his personal laptop, an invitation to the upcoming high school reunion.

After much consideration and discussion with the older Wanima twin, he accepted the invitation.

On the day of the school reunion...

“Chigiri, I didn't think you'll come to things like this, so I'm surprised.” one of Chigiri's former female classmates greeted. “Long time.”

“That's amazing.” the women gushed. “I knew you two were great at soccer and I thought you'd become something great.”

“So, are you single now?” one of the braver women pressed. “I'm currently looking for a boyfriend.”

“I also broke up with my boyfriend last year.” another woman added. “Are you free tonight?”

“Hyoma!” Shika called out and everyone turned around.

“I didn't see Sotomi's name on the invite list.” Junichi was confused as everyone took in Shika's rather unstylish outfit.

“I came to see you.” Shika spoke. “I want to talk.”

“We can talk here.” Chigiri stood his ground.

“That's okay.” Shika stammered. “That's great. You're a professional soccer player? You were always great at soccer.”

“How do you know that?” Chigiri asked.

“Junichi-san is always in contact with his younger brother, so I confirmed it with Keisuke-kun." Shika answered. "Hyoma, let's start over.”

“What?” Chigiri echoed in disbelief. “Now, with me? You were the one who said Wanima Keisuke had more potential than me.”

“Sorry, I was wrong.” Shika wailed. “I learned that it means nothing to just have potential in high school.”

“So, it's all about money?” the other women realized that it was all about.

“I didn't say that.” Shika protested.

“Didn't your last boyfriend see you only as an ATM? He made you spend money on him and then tossed you away after he drained you dry and leaving you with all his debt.” a female classmate explained. “Money is indeed important, but it's a little too good to be true to change your mind about a person you made fun of right after they make money.”

“You were saying that?” Junichi snapped. “Now you want to get back together because you have no money. It's too coincidental.” he moved the entire party to another table. “Shika still hasn't gone home yet.” he noticed the lone Shika drinking in the corner. “She hasn't given up on you yet.”

“I'm going to the restroom.” Chigiri excused himself.

“Hyoma.” Shika cornered the speedster outside the men's toilet. “You were in front of everyone else, so you couldn't say how you really felt, right?” she snuggled up to Chigiri. “I know you well. That's why I wanted to talk alone. You still like me, right? I'll go out with you. You've always been relaxed, so your feelings aren't obvious.” she continued, despite Chigiri slapping her off him. “But in high school, I felt that you liked me. You just can't express how you feel, right? It's okay. I get you.”

“I struggle to understand why you think I still like you.” Chigiri retorted. “First of all...”

“Hyo-kun.” F/N called out, a two-year-old toddler in her arms.

“You just came?” Chigiri walked over. “How did you know I was here?”

“Keiichi woke up from his jet-lag and started wailing for his daddy.” F/N replied. “Wanima-kun told me you were in the restroom. And that Satomi-san had chased after you.”

“Hyoma?” Shika splattered, seeing Chigiri's arm around F/N's waist

“I'm already married to F/N.” Chigiri explained. “And as you can see, we have a son.”

“What?” Shika exclaimed. “What's so good about that plain wallflower? I'm... my skin is a little dry right now, but if I go back to my normal lifestyle and work on myself, I'm beautiful. I'm so much better than her.”

“You still talk like that.” Chigiri sighed. “Before she went for that Germany scholarship after I tore my ASL, she made me a senbazuru; there's no way you can beat F/N. She wrote an encouraging quote in each and every origami paper. Also, I don't choose people based on looks. When we were going out, I liked you because you were honest. But, you changed. Those who can only look at people's qualifications will attract the same type. You brought this upon yourself. We're leaving.”

“So cute...” returning the reunion table, all the women cooed over Keiichi. “I knew F/N had all of us beat when she left that senbazuru to Chigiri.”

( ! ) i haven’t read too far into the manga, so the characterization i have of him (and when this takes place) is from what i’ve seen so far in the anime 💞

you’ve seen bachira excited, contemplative, and pouty. you’ve seen the way his eyes brighten, hollow, and dilate. you know how his face casts a shadow when he’s thrilled, followed by the slow, terrifying grin spreading across his face. you know him.

but you’ve never seen bachira meguru frown the way he’s doing right now.

the unfamiliar furrow of his brows and the downturn of his lips is a far cry from his usual expression.

it’s a cold evening, and you’re being treated to free food because you’re a friend of the team, so why not take the offer, right? more time to spend with your friends—and bachira—and a warm meal to fill your stomach sounds like the perfect way to spend your time before you head off to bed.

from across the table, kunigami continues talking about something, and though you were genuinely giving him all your attention earlier, the sight of bachira is distracting you. you nod absentmindedly, and bachira looks like he’s pouting, so your patience wears out.

“sorry, kunigami, can we continue this later?” you ask, but you’re already standing up and turning away.

kunigami blinks up at you. “oh, sure—”

bachira is sitting on the grass. he’s still staring at you, deep in thought.

“hey,” you settle down on the ground to nudge him with a curious look. “did something happen?”

bachira looks at you, and it does not make you feel warm like his usual sunny disposition or shiver with dread when he feels excited about a match. it’s a frown, hopelessly lost, and it makes you feel for it. he still hasn’t said anything.

you hesitate. “meguru?”

bachira seems to trail off from his daze. “y/n-chan,” he says, and you haven’t even realized he snaked an arm around your waist until he pulls you closer, shoulders against each other, faces closer than ever, and bachira still frowning.

a little more worried about his lack of energy today, you cup your palm over his forehead. “are you alright? maybe you should eat more.” his temperature is fine.

bachira clasps a hand around your wrist, staring, contemplative. “y/n-chan, i’m not mad at you.”

you blink, placing your free hand on his shoulders to gently pull away. “i didn’t say you were.”

bachira looks frustrated. the pout he has going on is adorable, though, and you would’ve cooed if you weren’t so concerned. “i’m not mad at y/n,” he insists, staring past you and glaring at the ground as if he’s convincing someone else—rather, something else.

bachira’s eyes clear, all of a sudden. if you had looked any closer, perhaps you would’ve also heard the whisper that floats into his ears. with newfound clarity and determination, bachira pulls you closer again until you’re draped on his lap, befuddled.

“you won’t leave me, right?” he asks.

when you can only blankly stare at him, bachira huffs, leaning on the slope of your neck to nuzzle sweetly into you, as if that’ll entice you to reply with the answer he wants.

“i wouldn’t leave you ever,” you say, sighing. exasperated, fond. “what brought this up—”

bachira pulls away only to lean closer where your noses are touching. “you wouldn’t leave me for kunigami, would you?”

“meguru,” you laugh, “are you jealous?”

he blinks, as if he realized it simultaneously as you did. the arms around your waist tighten, and he relaxes like a pleased cat. “was that it? i was jealous? ahh, y/n-chan, you’re making me feel too many things i can’t even understand! i’m not mad at you, just jealous of him.”

“oi, lovebirds. if you’re done making out, help us clean up!”

bachira smiles at chigiri sweetly, pushing his cheek against yours when you both face the team, “does that mean we have to make out first?”

chigiri makes a face. “what—”

bachira laughs brightly. in one smooth swoop, he lifts you bridal style and starts to trot away. “too late, haha! see you tomorrow!”

his other teammates yell at him to come back, and you find yourself chuckling along bachira’s delighted giggles.

you were always the one initiating conversations with isagi. not like you minded though, as long as you got to talk to him, you were happy. you can remember the first conversation you had with him as clear as day—you asked him which page the assignment was. you thought it was an absolutely brilliant plan to start talking to him regularly. it worked, obviously.

but then you noticed how dry his messages were. when you sent him three or four, he would reply back with one. isagi wasn't usually like this, no, he would return your energy all the time. it didn't bother you at first because you know he's busy with his sports, but his disinterest was getting more apparent.

you thought you were a bother to him; you thought you were annoying him, so you slowly stopped talking to him until neither of you spoke to each other at all. you stopped greeting him when you saw him, and you always saw his indifferent facial expression. uncaring, unconcerned.

it's like he forgot all about the conversations you shared. had he suddenly forgotten how close you two were? had he never cared about you? bullshit.

you waited for bachira to put his arm over your shoulders like he usually does, but he didn't today. you brushed it off, maybe he just wasn't feeling clingy yet. bachira always is touching you one way or another when you're together, but he suddenly stopped doing it.

you found it weird when he quickly retracted his hand from you when yours brushed against his. you also found it weird when he was suddenly leaning away from you in class, rather than leaning towards you. it was really weird when he was purposely standing far away from you. no matter how much you tried to get close, he would just move.

saying this only hurt you a bit was an understatement. of course it hurt you a lot, why was bachira suddenly ignoring you? you don't recall doing anything wrong or making anything awkward, so it's uncharacterisitc for him to be so... distant from you.

you decided to do the same. ignore him, distance yourself from him, and stop talking to him. you don't even know if he still considers you a friend.

chigiri slowly stopped asking to borrow your things. you didn't see anything wrong with it, but when you see him borrow things from other people, you feel a bit off about it. you thought it was stupid to feel this way—why is your heart sinking when you see him go up to someone else when he needs something?

you always gave him what he needed. you were always there when he needed something, and you were always happy to help. you loved helping him, actually. the smile he gives you when you let him borrow something is something you treasure.

it shouldn't hurt to see him borrow things from other people, it feels stupid to act this way. but you can't help it. you wouldn't be bothered by it, but the way he also stopped talking to you is what irks you the most. 'okay, you don't need to borrow my things anymore, but at least talk to me?' you think.

chigiri always gave back the things he borrowed from you safe and sound. the only thing he's ever stolen was your heart, and you're afraid he'll return it broken.

you sigh once again as you wait for nagi to go online on the game you two agreed to play together. he said he was going to go on soon, but it's been an hour, and you're bored out of your mind. you message him once more, hoping he'll reply this time. your smile drops as soon as you see his message: "can we play next time? im tired"

there was in fact no 'next time', because you haven't played a game with nagi in forever. every time you ask him to play with you, he will always reject you. he isn't the kind of person to decline a game invite, so you thought it was weird for him to suddenly be tired of playing video games.

games aren't as fun to play when you're alone. but nagi isn't joining you, so you just don't play at all. you were only ever excited to play because he was with you. when you see him online, you're quick to open the in-game chat, but then you notice he's playing with someone else.

it shouldn't bother you, really, but it's funny that you closed your game and went offline. you haven't played that game since.

you understand that reo was a busy person, but you never thought he'd get busy to the point where he no longer has time to spend with you. before, he'd always put in the effort to make time for you, no matter what. but it seems he's forgotten about your planned hangout again because he didn't show up.

the barista gave you a free drink and tried to give you words of encouragement, but you were quick to thank and dismiss them. you left the cafe that day wondering if you meant anything special to reo. he's always treated you differently than others, that's for sure. but did it ever actually mean anything?

you stare at the opened delivery app on your phone, debating on whether or not you should disconnect his online payment from your account. i mean, it's not like you mean anything to him anymore, so it's wrong to use his money.

you sighed as you reconnected your own account, ordering your usual. that was the last connection you had to reo.

you knew rin didn't prioritize relationships. hell, it wasn't on his priority list at all. but you had a glimmer of hope inside that maybe, just maybe, he thinks about you in that way. that maybe because of you, he'll consider being in a relationship.

you knew you and rin were not just friends. friends don't do the things you two do. so when you two flirt, you feel giddy. you thought that rin meant something more with his flirtatious actions, but when he calls you 'just a friend', your stomach drops.

he shares with you that he enjoys flirting for fun, and meaning nothing of it. of course he doesn't talk about you directly, but that's what it feels like. rin says it as if he's sharing a fun fact about himself, even feeling proud of it.

he notices your expression and asks why you look like that. you say it's nothing. nothing, just like what you are to him.

'Today is a nice day.' Kurona hummed as he was in particularly good mood. The reason? Ego wasn't as nasty with the training as he usually was. He had his favorite food for breakfast and (Y/n) complimented one of his passes. Yeah, today is a nice day.

"He is so dreamy~" Kurona stopped in his tracks as he walked past the medical office as he heard (Y/n)'s voice from the inside.

'Who? Is she talking about one of us?' Kurona gulped as he leaned against the door to listen in.

"Who? He? I didn't think you would be still into footballers after having to manage a whole group." Anri's voice was heard as she chuckled.

"I can't help it. He is so handsome and tall. Also talented."

'Tall? Handsome? We do have tall people but that's about it.' Kurona thought, a few players already coming to his mind.

"Now that I think of it, you never told me if you have a type or not?"

"A type... hmmm" Kurona was now all ears, he needed to know who it could be out of them all.

"Yeah! There is no way that loud guy could be someone our sweet manager likes." Aryu added.

"Yeah, I am sure (Y/n) would like peace and quiet more. She sure wouldn't like the opposite." Gagamaru agreed.

"I know what I heard! She was talking about it with Teieri-san and she admitted to it! Plus that guy dances and has blonde hair, we lost." Kurona said as one part of the group went into complete frenzy and the other tried to keep calm.

"Hold up! Panicking won't help us! Bachira let go of Chigiri's hair!" Yukimiya said, clapping his hands as Niko spoke up.

"How are we supposed to keep calm when that bastard is all (Y/n) thinks of apparently!" The blue-eyed boy questioned, knowing well that he couldn't keep up with someone like Lavinho.

"Reo, could you get him banned from playing football?" Nagi asked the already annoyed boy.

"SILENCE!" The group froze and they turned to look at Rin, who looked like he was about to kill someone.

"So what's the plan, under lashes junior?" Baro asked, turning his attention away from Isagi and Kunigami. Ignoring the last part, the younger Itoshi sighed and thought it over for a moment.

"The best way we can get rid of this little crush of hers is by making her realize she actually doesn't like him, but someone else."

The room fell silent as they tried to figure out how her falling for someone else will help them.

"And as the captain, I will take the burden of her falling for me." Rin said dramatically.

"Eh?! No way, you and your eyelashes stay away from her! (Y/n) would much rather be with me! We shared food!" Isagi immediately yelled, followed by Baro.

"And what is there to fall for by you? Brother issues?!"

author's note: I said I wasn't going to write another one for a while cause of school but this idea suddenly popped up in my head and I ended up writing it in one sitting when I had some free time last night.

You didn’t expect it to be raining this hard right now. The weather app you checked earlier today said it would be cloudy at most, so you didn’t bring an umbrella. You’re currently standing behind the school’s door, taking cover. 

You stayed back today for some additional studying for one of your classes. When you got done and were making your way to the school's front gate, it started pouring hard, leaving you with no choice but to run back into the school’s building. 

“It’s really pouring down. It doesn’t look like it’ll stop anytime soon either.” You thought. This starts making you feel a little stressed. You had to be home before 7 to help your parents with some errands and this rain is going to delay you for possibly who knows how long. Pacing back and forth the door, you start brainstorming on ways you can make it back on time with this storm. However, no solutions were coming to your mind. You didn’t have an umbrella, you only had this thin school uniform cardigan, and your backpack was too heavy to be carried above your head. You start thinking of just making a run for it but your house is like 15 minutes away by walk. 

“Ughh, seriously.” You grumbled and that’s when you saw another person walk up to the door and peek out the windows. If it wasn’t for how famous he was around the school, one could mistake him for a girl at first. The long, silky red hair was styled up with a braid on one side. He had long lashes and marbled red eyes. Of course, only those pretty features could belong to none other than Chigiri Hyoma, the ace soccer player. You never got the chance to talk to him around school due to the fact that he was always busy with soccer or was too into his own thing for anyone to interrupt him. That didn’t stop others from trying to befriend him though. There was always someone wanting to create that special friendship with him. He was kind you guessed. Or should one say, he was indifferent? Yes, he was kind in regards to the way he responded to people and helped out whenever he needed but you’ll never catch him being the first to reach out to anybody. He talked but kept his distance. 

“Hm, I didn’t bring my umbrella today.” He said as you see him digging into his bag. 

“I forgot to bring mine too.” You said, striking a convo. 

You’d be lying if you said you never wanted to talk to Chigiri Hyoma. There’s this enchanting aura around him that one just can’t help but be drawn into. However, you never wanted to disturb his peace. To you, it felt like the two of you were in different leagues. There wasn’t really a need to talk to him even though you wanted to. You figured there just wasn’t anything you both had in common. You two were too different. 

“Really? I guess we’re stuck here for a while.” He replied and sat down on the floor near the door. He then proceeded to take out a book and read. You gasp at the sight because he’s reading one of your favorite books.

“You know that book?” You eagerly asked with fleeting hints of excitement. 

“Yeah, I take it that you do too?” 

“It’s one of my favorite books! And the author is one of my favorite authors.” 

“Oh? This is my first novel from this author. It’s really good so far. Can you give me recommendations for their other work?” 

“Of course!” You exclaimed and gave him a list of all the books you enjoyed by that author. 

“Thank you. I’ll get to these soon after I finish this one first.” 

“I didn’t know you enjoy reading novels, Chigiri.” 

His eyes widen at this and his expression starts turning bashful. “Sorry, this is really embarrassing on my part. I apologize but… Have we met before?” 

That’s when you realized, you had just addressed him by his name already when you both haven’t even introduced yourselves yet. Embarrassed, you try to find a good explanation so you don’t look like some weird stalker or fangirl to him. 

“No, sorry! We haven’t met before! I’m sorry for addressing your name right off the bat like that when we haven’t even introduced ourselves. I’m not a stalker I swear! It’s just…. hard not to know who you are when everybody around me talks about you… I’m sorry again.” 

“Ah, I see. No worries, there’s no need to apologize. It’s nice to meet you, uhm…?” 

“Y/n! I’m L/n Y/n.” 

You joined and sat in front of him and the two of you began to chat a bit more, mostly about the novels you both have read and you were surprised to learn that Chigiri and you actually share something in common. He didn’t seem like the type to be into reading. You always thought soccer was all he ever thought about. 

Getting carried away by the unexpected conversation with the red-haired boy, you started to lose track of time until a notification from your phone reminded you of the time. 

“Ah! The errands!” You yelped and quickly got up.

“So sorry, Chigiri. I gotta run some important errands for my parents at home.” 

“But it’s still raining hard outside.”’

“I know but it’s really urgent. I guess I just have to walk home in the rain.” 

“You’ll catch a cold like that.”

“Yeah, but still-“ 

“I have an idea.” 

“Oh?” 

“Are you up for some running?” 

Silence immediately fell after he asked that. Is he serious? Running? With him? That’s like the Tortoise and the Hare except the tortoise actually doesn't win the race this time.

You blinked at him, baffled. “… Don’t tell me you want me to run with you. You are aware of your capabilities compared to others right?” 

He laughs at this. “I know. Don’t worry, I won’t run too fast. I’ll match your speed.” 

“Then that’s a walk, Chigiri.” 

To that, he gave a belly laugh which made you blush a little because even his laugh was pretty too. 

“I know you can run, Y/n. Here’s the plan, we’ll run and take cover at any nearest cover we find and continue to the next cover we find. That way, we won’t get as wet. Just be careful because the roads can be slippery.”

“That sounds like a good plan. Okay, fine. I’ll run.” 

You two open the school’s door and scan around the area. The school gates were up ahead and near the school gate was a bus stop shelter. You pointed at it and said, “There. That can be our first cover.”

“Good, let’s go,” Chigiri said and on a count of 3, you both started running towards it. He said he was going to match your speed. He probably is trying to match your speed but without even applying any effort into his running, he still runs abnormally fast. It’s more like he has to put in effort if he wants to match your speed instead. You weren’t a slow runner, more average you would say but compared to someone like Chigiri, it’s beyond slow. 

To no one’s surprise, he made it to the cover first and you soon followed, 4-5 seconds behind. 

“What a way to match my speed, Chigiri.” 

He sheepishly rubs the back of his neck before saying, “Sorry, I tried.” And you couldn’t help but laugh at that. 

“It’s fine. It was expected anyway. Let’s find our next cover.” 

“That one over there.” He pointed at a shop nearby with an awning cover. 

“Okay. Ready, one, two, three!” You both start to sprint again but before you have the chance to run, Chigiri reaches over to your hand and grabs it, pulling you along with him as he runs. Your head does a hard whiplash at the sudden jolt of speed and you nearly yelp at how fast you suddenly had to run. 

“Chigiri! Ahh!” You yelled out.

He managed to successfully drag you to the shop faster than you can ever imagine. You were panting at this point after having to match his speed. He releases his grip and lets you crotch down for some rest. 

“If I can’t match your speed, you’ll have to match mine.” 

“That’s not how it works?! I’m human!” 

“… I am too, Y/n.” 

“This was a mistake. I knew it was a bad idea as soon as you brought up running.” You said through pants. Man, were you tired but you have to admit, this was really fun. It’s just something about running around in the rain with someone that gives you that giddy feeling. It’s so cliché but it’s so fun. You let out a laugh at this thought. 

“Finally rested up? I found our next cover.”

“Heh. Chigiri, Thank you. This is really fun. We should do this again sometimes.” You suggested. You wanted to do something like this again with him. You felt happy. Happy that you finally got to talk to the Chigiri Hyoma that everyone always raves about. Happy that you two actually have something in common and learning he was much more than just soccer. Happy that he genuinely seemed like he enjoyed your conversations and that it wasn’t forced upon him. 

“We can’t be doing this every day now. I’ll catch a cold and that’s not good for a soccer player… But I don’t mind doing something like this again. Without the rain.” 

You look up at him after he said that and chuckle. He looks down at you and cracks a smile.

“Ready now? I’m not slowing down for you this time.” 

“Bring it on, princess.”
