Adam doesn't care about Weiss only because he was never written to, despite the fact that it would make far more sense than throwing everything away for an ex comrade

Iirc Weiss only ever acknowledges the damage the company did to specifically Faunus in V7 in the mines, where her apology is immediately accepted by Blake and Marrow, the only Faunus characters in the main V7 cast. Not once does she even say she's going to find a way to make reparations or help the abused workers. It's not enough to acknowledge the pain her family's company has caused, she needs to fucking DO something about it or else it's virtue signalling

The entire arc between Jacques and Weiss is about their specific dynamic. Ignoring the literal world-wide harm Jacques has committed to focus only on how Weiss is hurt by him implies that Weiss doesn't care about anyone's pain but hers. She can't even be bothered to care about Whitley, her own baby brother abandoned either mentally (Willow) or wholesale (Winter and Weiss) by the women in his life, leaving him with only Jacques and Klein (who has very little power to help him)

Having Adam and Weiss meet, especially if it had been in the earlier seasons, would have been an excellent way to push Weiss to fight for the people her father's company hurt because instead of flaccidly apologizing with vague ho-hums about company policies or second-hand stories. Now she can see with her own eyes (one of which is also indirectly scarred by her father. Foils, anyone?) that someone was fucking branded

Think through the implications of that. Of a company having a branding iron on hand. The following materials are things that can be branded with this technique: wood, paper, cardboard, leather, food, cork, and plastic as stated here. Every crate of Schnee property shown in the show has been made of metal, a material that cannot be branded via an iron. You know what that implies?

The only reason their meeting didn't happen is because doing so would force the audience and the writers to actually think through the racism plot and add nuance to its literal face character. But why do that when you can make him a caricature that's literally 1:1 with white supremacist views on black activists? Worst of all is how so many people swallow it because he hurt everyone's favorite catgirl

So, yeah, it really is a wasted opportunity for the both of them and they should've been allowed to put Jacques head on a pike together

I still believe that Weiss never meeting Adam before he died was a huge missed opportunity in RWBY especially after they revealed the SDC branding on his eye. He even had easy access to Weiss through Blake. Like why obsess over some girl who left you instead of trying to get to the (former) heiress of the Schnee Dust Company??? It doesn’t make sense to me.
