in terms of success, newjeans might .. hold onto some specific types of gigs. when they are solo or group ones, it's not important as the main key is the rebranding the girls are going to do. as newjeans are currently working on it (i actually can see them having ideas, and the creative freedom is being there), it can go in many, many ways. the chances of their next comeback doing good are there but as they're currently working on it, i still cannot see will they do well.

yes, i can see her improving, and it might happen quite rapidly. the reason for her vocals sounding the same seem to be her environment (like how it was for her when she was in iz*one and how it is now in ls). i have no clue how it was in her home (japan and akb48) but in both journeys she had/has with iz*one and le sserafim are like exactly the same (until now). with otr/swing (now wakeone as they and other companies .. merged) her abilities had stayed the same while for soumu is in .. similar situation, i assume.

when it comes to the reason why she hasn't improved, no, it's not anxiety. it's the teachers and coaches' ignorance. behind the scenes, sakura is very obedient in her job and listens to what she has to do and what she doesn't, therefore whoever was responsible for how the idols trained their vocals did the worse job possible (doesn't matter where, the experience in both situations are the same), she needed the punch, the individuality and when the coaches are too ignorant, she works on what she has to do and forgets about her voice in general. she might improve after le sserafim though.

i usually don't ask for dynamic update but since you're extremely persistent, with 4 of cups rx, the star and judgement show me that the energy hasn't changed and it's still "non-existent" like i said. ironically the bottom card of the spread is still page of pentacles, maybe that's minji? with the combination of the star and judgement, i can also see that there's potential between them to know each other better but not now and not in their current circumstances. i really hope next time you ask the same question around the beginning of the next year, usually for bonds between at least 2 people i make updates in 6 months at its earliest if the energy is extremely stagnant like theirs :)

anyway, I don't follow yoonbin closely anymore but I got really sad when he left before treasure debuted, he's a good rapper and he actually debuted solo few months ago under the stage name 0WAVE in case you wanna listen to his songs! from what I see it might fit your taste idk

I checked his stuff out and he's super talented!! I hope he gets more recognition in the following years cause it doesn't seem like the project is doing too well but the songs are really solid and I can definitely understand why he didn't feel happy with the direction the group was taking cause the vibe is completely different

although the vibe is more B.I/Bobby/Minho solos than YG group songs tbh so I'm not sure what he was expecting

changbin is literally the reason why she is who she is today :D

he taught her so many things, like how to write songs, how to get over writers block, how to produce, how to rap, everything

her first song she even wrote was w him and he let her take the wheels for it, and he gave her pointers on the way, it was mostly her but changbin edited it and helped her when she was stuck and when they were recording it and she was helping the members w their lines he was having a big proud dad moment and he was just like ☺️☺️ THATS MY DAUGHTER

they had a falling out in 2019 and no stay knows exactly what happened — but the pair didn’t speak for almost the entire year, only when they absolutely had to. it wasn’t until late 2020 where they made up, and started to slowly restore their friendship. now, they are back to being bff’s!

yoonah is VERY extroverted so it’s kind of hard for them to hang out and plan stuff

because yoonah wants to go see the world and jisung is like .... MOVIE NIGHT :D

I can't believe Treasure will have a comeback as 10 instead of 12

I don't really know what to feel right now? I'm devastated that this won't be an OT12 comeback, but at the same time I respect Yedam's and Mashiho's deciscion to take a break.

Yedam wants to take a break to work on his skills as a producer which makes me think that he might be preparing songs for his solo album? This might be a bit of a reach but I'm trying to look on the bright side or I'll start crying

For Mashiho... idk... I'll only write this out once and never think about it again, but it felt like a sudden decision? "Mashiho, who is currently on vacation in Japan, has decided to spend more time with his family in his hometown after requesting an extension of his break due to health reasons"

What does that even mean? I know they are respecting Mashiho's privacy by not explaining the situation in detail and i completely understand and agree with that decision but I just don't know how worried we should be or how permanent this is.

I've said this before, but the boys have been working non-stop since december and just now had their first real break from schedule and it only lasted one week. They must be exhausted but will immediately start working on their next album + preparing for 'a big event' for their second anniversary + prepare for their second concert. I wouldn't blame Mashi if it all got a bit too much and he felt like he needed more rest. I just hope that this is indeed only temporary and we'll see Mashi again after the comeback is over.

Will Yedam and Mashiho still be absent for their second anniversary big event? For their second concert in Korea? For their Japan tour? Treasure will perform at a festival mid june and i'll just already mentally prepare myself for seeing them as 10 instead of 12 on stage. I'm not ready at all

Realistically, I always knew that a group of 12 could lose members (temporarily or permanently) but i always tried not to think about it. For some reason i just thought it would be different for Treasure. They already had their fair share of hardships in 2019 when their debut got delayed and Yoonbin left. I believed they wouldn't go through something like that again... And I know I'm blowing this out of proportion and that I'm overthinking this but the news came so unexpectedly, I just needed to get this all of my chest

People saying they want an "OT12 comeback or no comeback at all", i get where they are coming from, but they are pressuring Mashiho and Yedam into something they obviously aren't ready to do. By not participating in this comeback, they can take time to rest without feeling guilty. YG said Treasure themselves chose to have an OT10 comeback instead of waiting so we should respect that decision and support their comeback the best we can.

About Treasure

I wanted to talk about treasure because I've seen some posts here on tumblr and on twitter that the group didn't really meet their expectations. But to me the group is doing exactly what I thought they would be doing.

I guess it's safe to say that many of the fans that the group has now are with them since treasure box. It's important to remember that back when the show was airing yg was very clear on the fact that he wanted to create a group who was focused more on beauty and how an idol is supposed to look (I don't think that every idol in yg is ugly but they don't really fit in the whole "Korean beauty standard" but they are still very good looking). He said based on the fact of all the really successful idol that didn't accept as a trainee, such as chungha, wendy and others. There were rumors about how the group wasn't going to write their music but rather all of it would be produced by the company.

The way I see it, treasure is supposed to be the very first group from yg that fits the pattern of idol groups, with a group that concentrates heavily in dancing, that doesn't really have a member that is put in the front so you know that guy has to be the leader. They look more cohesive as a group, if that makes any sense at all.

YG built that company with idols that don't really "look" like idols. They could produce their own music, it seemed like they had more autonomy with everything surrounding them. I think ikon and blackpink are the groups the fit that the least but still a lot more than treasure. Yoonbin left the company and quit the group because they weren't going to follow a path he wanted to be in.

In the recent past yg had way too many scandals and because of that treasure's debut kept on being postponed. Maybe, right now, they want a group different than the ones they've had before, as if they are supposed to be the company's fresh new start.

If I can be honest 'boy' still sounds like a yg song. The chorus, the song outro. The outro specially sounds like a yg song, it's almost their trademark, you can hear similar outros in bigbang, ikon and blackpink songs.

Treasure is still a yg group, they still sound like an yg group, just with a lighter approach and brighter outfits.

Why real question is: what did everyone expect from the group when they released going crazy as the show's single? They wouldn't go dark and moody right after that (if I'm not mistaken their youngest is 15/16).

I just wanna know why yg didnt release boy and going crazy together it doesn't make sense to me. Is it bc of the yoonbin situation? Did the boys not want to? Im sorry but how are u gonna make a song that fits ur most eye catching members so well (asahi for Korea, mashiho for japan, junkyu internationally) and just bury it like that?? Knetz would have loved mashi aegyo king as center, hyunsuk being a mini-gdragon in the making and all of those parts of yedam's for his debut! plus junkyu would have gone viral for sounding like a korean shawn mendes(they love the guy as far as I know).
