Eyyyy it's me again have you ever considered throwing hyj and kdj into a pit and close the pit on them to keep them safe /j
FEDASE you see to set their pit properly you'd need to keep them sane and happy (as happy as possible) so you'd need to throw in. i dunno. yoohyun and joonghyuk at the very least.
and while yoohyun could probably be happy with just his hyung, yoojin would miss his kids, that one rich bastard cosplaying as a bl CEO trope, all the other guys etc... he got too many people on his mind now!! so many people to love and take care of!!
as for kdj... he needs a bunch of people to enrich his life obviously. that guy already lived long enough only looking at yjh, gotta have a full diet you know. more people it is.
so. kdj in the vacation scenario was correct. he needs a big house to live with everyone. yoojin too, but he basically built it already :D so the only guy who needs house arrest with obligatory family time is kdj-
#yoojin comes as part of a set. do NOT separate.#kim dokja does not come as part of a set ON HIS OWN VOLITION#FORCE THAT MAN INTO A SET AND DO NOT LET HIM LEAVE

TAEYONG’S FAMILY
a/n: here is the third part!
i just sorted everything and there is a lot for me to do, but I’M DETERMINED!!!
anyway, i hope you guys like this! taeyong’s kids are pretty iconic imo :)
here’s the masterlist for all things nct dad related!
LEE TAEYONG:
has two kids, 1 boy and 1 girl. lee youngchul is 8 years older than his little sister, lee youngmi.
LEE YOUNGCHUL: >> as a baby <<
you know how taeyong has big doe eyes?
yeah, that’s your son
he was even considerate to his parents
you and taeyong were very very stressed when you were raising youngchul
you and taeyong just had so much love for the little baby but like you were nervous bc he was your first baby
like most days, you guys were just fine
but on somedays, you and taeyong were just so stressed
because you guys weren’t used to the balance yet
the balance of baby, work, and celebrity life lol
but like on those days, youngchul would hold in his tears
you and taeyong didn’t notice it at this time
but when you had youngmi and everything was a little more chill
you realized that youngchul almost knew to take it easy on you two
his eyes are just so mesmerizing
like everyone in the group are entranced by his eyes
youngchul didn’t smile too often
but when he did, oh was it a treat
he was more on the shy and quiet side as a baby
he wasn’t super social, but he did like being around all of his uncles
he was really bad with strangers tho
like when all of the members met him, they went in cycles and youngchul was just not vibing with any of them
youngchul eventually warmed up to them tho!
he’s really generous and considerate with everything
like if he was playing with another baby (this is even before he could formulate words)
and someone would hand him a toy
youngchul will look at it for like a couple seconds
and then he’d give it right to his friend
just a really nice and considerate boy who kept it easy on you and taeyong’s beginner selves!
>> as a child <<
take all of the uwu’s that you and taeyong have combined and bam
you have youngchul
he is just the sweetest little thing in the whole universe
he’s so considerate of everyone and everything
he is a little shy, but when he’s around his family and friends, he’s just having fun
he’s a lot of fun to have around
he’s best friends with doyoung’s oldest son, kim minyoung (they’re born the same year)
they have the same dynamic as doyoung and taeyong tho
like they play fight, but they’re like brothers
youngchul is still the most considerate little bean tho
minyoung knows that youngchul doesn’t like strangers
so minyoung always makes sure that youngchul isn’t along when running errands, or just going outside
they’re like always hanging out together
they practically live at each others houses
like it got to the point where minyoung would sleepover at your and taeyong’s house, you guys got another bed
doyoung got another bed for youngchul too
they’re honestly just brothers at this point lol
anyway
around this age, youngchul started to learn that he loves to dance
youngchul has a hard time expressing a lot of his emotions
bc honestly, he’s full with so much anxiety
but he always saw his dad dancing growing up
and he learned quickly that he loved dancing too
he learned the dances to all of taeyong’s songs
taeyong is so proud of him
like taeyong LOVES to teach youngchul all of the dances too
youngchul’s favorite thing to do at this age is go to dance practices with his dad
and whenever there’s a break, youngchul is in the studio and he’s dancing
he’s honestly just a mini taeyong
you’re always so happy to see him dance with his dad
bc you can tell that youngchul is at his happiest when he dances
a lot of people want to be his friend
he’s shy, but he still knows how to greet and talk to people
if you’re lucky and you become his friend?
oh man, you’re set for life
he loves and he loves hard
if someone plays him?
ooh boy
you’re going to have to answer to all of his family
(oh yeah, i’m talking about all of nct and their kids)
he’s not super sure with what path he wants to go down
like if he just wants to be a dancer
or if he wants to go into a group
taeyong does his best to show him all of the options
he just makes you proud every single day
he’s the type of kid to give you the biggest hug everyday he comes home from school
when he learned that he was going to be an older brother?
he was so happy
he was so excited to be an older brother
(youngchul and noah seo, johnny’s oldest son, are born the same year)
he’s watched noah take care of his younger siblings and he honestly wanted that?
like he’s so close to minyoung, but he wants a sibling that he can see everyday
he’s such a good older brother too
he’s just such a good kid :,)
>> as a teen/adult <<
ooh boy
he’s still really kind and considerate
he’s speaks in tiny like jungwoo
like even his whole aesthetic is just soft
he decided to become a choreographer
and like ooh boy
when he dances
it’s like taeyong’s nonexistent 3rd child
like his aesthetic is so soft
but then you get him in the studio or on stage?
it’s like
he’s a completely different person
like his duality is just????
he decided he didn’t want to join a group so he became a choreographer
and he’s just living his best life
okay
so like his exterior and aesthetic is all soft, right?
then one day, he kinda realized that he’s really skinny
now there’s nothing wrong with that
but he wants to do some stunts and stuff like that
but he’s having a hard time bc he’s so skinny
so, to solve this, he starts working out with noah
(this is when he’s like 16-17)
he told you and taeyong that he started going to the gym with noah
and y’all trusted him, especially if he was going with noah
so when he’d leave you guys were just like “okay, don’t hurt yourself.”
a couple months pass and it’s summertime
the families decide to take a trip to the beach or the waterpark or something
and like everyone remembers youngchul as just a skinny kid
but when he took off his shirt
everyone was shook
like he wore oversized clothing a lot, so everyone thought he was still skinny
oh, how wrong you were
dancing + noah’s gym = greek god
and, lo’ and behold, your son, lee youngchul
he shocked everyone so well
even taeil’s oldest daughter, moon yoojin, blushed
anD NOTHING EVER PHASES HER
noah felt a little betrayed
but like
youngchul doesn’t quite understand
he starts getting shy again but minyoung is hyping him up
anyway, everyone had a fun time regardless
he’s really good with kids
his goal is to open his own dance studio
he opens his own dance studio with ten’s oldest, kaleb
he works at dance studio as a choreographer
usually for the rookies and the newbies and the youngins
he’s the good cop
kaleb is the scary and bad cop
but in the end, their both sweethearts tbh
and he’s living his best life there
girls asks him out all of the time and he just gets so shy whenever they do
honestly and truly, if anyone wants a chance to be with him, you have to be his friend first
like if you just ask him out the second you meet him, he’ll say no
just because you’ll make him so shy he doesn’t know how to answer lol
he’s apart of the 1st gen of kids, so he’s also like an older brother to everyone
people don’t usually come to him for advice, but they’ll go to him if they want to rant
he’s really good at listening and providing adequate input
he’s pretty reliable too
oh, he’s really protective of the younger ones too
like he doesn’t like when he has to be intimidating
but he will if anyone hurts the younger ones
or his younger sister
he’s just a quiet but sincere boy who cares a great deal about his friends and family
LEE YOUNGMI >> as a baby <<
she was very active
like crawling everywhere
she started showing signs of loving music/dancing at this age
she was dancing before she could even sit up on her own lol
as a baby, she had big eyes like her brother did
she smiled more than youngchul did
but she did cry more than youngchul did
youngchul took care of her a lot at this age
he wanted to, dw
youngchul was just so happy to be an older brother
he had a hard time understanding that she could not understand him at al lol
anyway
one of the easiest ways to calm youngmi down when she was crying was to put on some music
she occupies herself by dancing when you add music into the mix
she loved strangers
she was a lot more social than youngchul was
she was pretty talkative too
the second she could formulate a sentence, she did
whenever taeyong was on tour and she missed him
all you would do was put a dance practice or interview or something
on the tv and she would eat it up
as a baby, she could watch him for hours
her first word was “appa”
she’s such a daddy’s girl
taeyong has so much love for his daughter too
youngmi hated to be separated from taeyong tho
it got to the point to where taeyong started bringing her to work
the members didn’t mind in the slightest
like when youngchul was at school, youngmi would be at work with taeyong while you were at work as well
while taeyong was practicing with his group, the members from the other groups would take turns watching her
she was pretty chill tho
she wouldn’t cause too much trouble
she’ll just wait patiently for her dad to be done
she loves you too tho, don’t get me wrong
like if your at home cooking food for her, she’s so intrigued
you’ll sit her on the counter and she’ll just enjoy watching you
she loves to give eskimo kisses
(that’s when you rub your nose against someone elses)
she’s honestly just a sweetheart <3
>> as a child <<
just like her older brother
she started dancing at this age
except, she also started getting interested in rapping at this age
she thinks female rappers are super cool
she’s also a daddy’s girl
like taeyong loves his kids equally
but youngmi is really clingy with him lol
like youngchul, she wants to hangout with her dad as much as possible
in school, a lot of guys have crushes on her
she couldn’t care less lol
she’s best friends with johnny’s youngest daughter, luna seo, and ten’s youngest daughter, amarin leechaipornkul (aria)
they’re like the powerpuff girls
youngmi is buttercup
she’s kinda tough
she’s more like buttercup because she’s really active
she’s pretty good at sports and stuff
in the group, she’s the fun one
like she’s down to do anything and everything
she’s an adrenaline junkie
she’s just down to do whatever, whenever
but she’s more into dancing
like everyday
she learns from her brother
like she learns how to do a lot of hip hop and like strong moves from youngchul
so she breaks the stigma for girls doing just feminine moves
she’s really good at dancing too
like at a young age, she was already freestyling
she learns dances really easily too
like youngchul will explain things with counts like once or twice
and she’s already got it
she started learning how to write lyrics at this stage too
she knows that she wants to do something with music
but she wasn’t sure at this stage
she knows that she wants to have fun wherever she goes
she’s honestly just a fun individual
she’s adores everyone in her family
she thinks you’re amazing with everything you do
she thinks her brother is so cool and that he can do anything
and she thinks taeyong is simply the best dancer/rapper in the world
>> as a teen/adult <<
SHES SO PRETTY
she has a mix of yours and taeyong’s eyes
like she has your eye shape but has the sparkle that taeyong has
anyway
she becomes the main rapper and dancer for a girl group
she’s having a grand old time doing it all tho
she writes all of her own raps
she still asks taeyong for advice with certain things
but she’s pretty independent with a lot of her stuff
anyway
she has taeyong’s laugh
like how his laugh isn’t on the exhale, it’s on the inhale
she’s apart of the same group that luna seo is in (plot twist, aria is in this group too)
not only is she an amazing rapper, she has a really sweet singing voice too
she prefers rapping tho
her vibe isn’t soft/shy all the time
it’s like her stage presence
like she just gives off this energy that’s purely her
she’s one of the most real idols out there lol
she still looks up to her brother even tho she’s more well known then he is, technically
she’ll go and ask him for advice as to how to do this dance and stuff
she tries to set him up with other idols lol but he gets flustered every time
she’s pretty sassy tbh
like she comes up with a lot of comebacks really easily
she’s really funny too
her favorite types of jokes are dad jokes tho :/
she’s the leader of the group
she’s really good at speaking
she’s a really good leader like her dad
she doesn’t have a hard time in front of a camera at all
youngmi becomes famous because she’s really good at tracking the cameras
she doesn’t let her status get to her tho
she’s apart of one of the younger generations tho, so she’s not the big sister type
she is happy being the youngest in her family tho
youngmi has to deal with aria already lol
honestly, youngmi just makes all of you so proud
like she can spit bars
and she still comes home as often as she can
she’s a machine tho
she doesn’t stop working
when she does stop, she just sleeps
she firmly believes that sleep is for the weak tho
she can eat her entire body weight, easily
she eats a lot
bc she burns so many calories dancing
but still
she can shock the world with how much she can eat
she’s a little awkward with little kids
she’s really good with people who are older than her
but like little ones?
she doesn’t know how to act around them lol
all in all, youngmi is an amazingly talented woman who makes you, taeyong, youngchul, and just the whole world, really proud
---
the power that youngchul and youngmi hold? crazy.
anyway, i hope you guys liked it!! yuta’s family is up next!!!

(explaining on rb because this got out of my hands and is too long to fit into the reply section, sorry if this is too long, OP 🥲)
@peculiarphantomphoenix The translations I caught up to are still on 210+ (out of 800+) and I avoid context for spoilers, but I'll try my best to explain the premise.
If you're familiar with solo leveling, TSCTIR's start is a bit similar: Dungeon Gates appearing, monsters residing inside the Gates, and Dungeon Breaks happening when the Gates are not cleared and monsters breaking out, humans Awakening with powers and separated into Classes.
The mc Han Yoojin is a weak F-class Hunter, and he was abandoned by his ridiculously-OP S-class younger brother (who he raised singlehandedly, look, it's complicated) right after the latter awakened. He struggles to keep himself afloat, only to find out that his younger brother left so that Han Yoojin won't get caught up in S-class mess and politics... and Han Yoojin only gets to know this when said OP younger brother sacrificed himself to save Han Yoojin and died.
Due to circumstances, Han Yoojin got to turn back time (5 years) to prevent their relationship's fallout and his bro's death. Han Yoojin got niche OP support skills out of the regression, but all the previous events from the timeline that Has Never Happened (it's hard to elaborate in one blog post, but... yeah...) clearly fucked him up, and the novel narration depicts that. Han Yoojin's self worth pretty much banks on bravado and those skills... He does have ppl (including his bro) who feel fond and protective of him, but he thinks that's only due to the influencing effects of his skills.
tl;dr I'd like to think that the more disturbing aspects are when they elaborate and narrate the 'showing' on the emotional aspects of it.
Worldbuilding-wise, well, there are scummy human practices that are prevalent in the world that are portrayed as realistic as you can get in a pseudo-isekai settings, and some important characters are directly affected by it.
There might be more, it could be either I haven't reached the part yet, or I missed it, really.
warnings for self-worth issues, insecurity, self-sacrificial tendencies (which we're all unfortunately familiar with, I'm afraid), alcoholism, depression. To add, it also touches on toxic familial relationships, destructive workaholic tendencies and sexism in the characters and the worldbuilding in general.
That's about it that comes to mind. The premise is interesting, worldbuilding and politics very contemplative and well done, and the pov is most of the time unreliable narrator. There are plenty of slapstick and funny moments, and the manhwa comes off as mostly comedic so far, but just be prepared that some sad and heartbreaking moments may sneak into you. Also, since the mc's OP kits are either non-direct-combat support skills or passive skills that can only work in Extremely Niche Circumstances, you can count on him to think of ingenious ways to get out of a hairy situation.
Anyone who wants to add anything I miss or correct me if I got anything wrong, feel free to do so!
I haven't read ORV or TSCTIR but according to the posts and memes that I read here in Tumblr ORV is angsty and TSCTIR is a bit disturbing. So I think I'll stick to TCF and the memes about ORV and TSCTIR.

Secrets (1)
Undo - Secrets
Part 1 | Part 2
Description: “Anything’s an adventure when you’re with a person you enjoy being around.”
Notes for update: 40
This is a prequel for my fic, UNDO, which you should read here first.
Warnings: age gap, sexual themes (smut in later parts)
Pairing: Park Chanyeol x Reader
Mobile Masterlist | Twitter
“Mom, why can’t Chanyeol come over?” Your brother, Jinhwa, whined to your mother. “He’s my best friend, you’ve known him for years.”
“Exactly, Jinhwa, and that’s why I don’t want him around.” Your mother replied softly. “He’s not a good influence for you or -”
“Or (Y/N).” He scoffed. “That’s so dumb! Can’t you just tell her to stay away from him?”
“I’m afraid she doesn’t want to do that.” Your mother explained, making your cheeks heat up. It was true, you had long since developed a crush on your older brother’s best friend. However, you weren’t sure how he was a bad influence on you.
You hung out with him and Jinhwa a lot. It was only recently that your mother began to attempt to separate you from Chanyeol. However, it was too late. Far too late. You loved him and you wanted to see him more now that you weren’t supposed to.
Jinhwa stomped out of the kitchen, glaring at you as he walked past.
“Just don’t fucking talk to Chanyeol anymore.” He spat at you, huffing as he slammed his door. You were taken aback, but you just blinked a couple times before you turned to face your mother.
“Don’t bother with him.” She waved him off. “But I agree. I don’t want you talking to Chanyeol anymore.” What the hell was going on? You told your mom that you were off to the mall with Minji and she shouted her approval from the kitchen. You slipped your shoes on and walked out the door.
Minji drove to the mall and the two of you walked around for a bit before stopping at the food court. She sat across from you.
“So she just told you not to talk to him anymore?” Minji scrunched her face up. “That doesn’t make any sense.”
“I know.” You groaned. “I’ve known him my whole life, what’s different now?” You sipped from your cup.
“Maybe he’s like...I don’t know...maybe he’s into you.” Your friend shrugged. You choked on your drink and shook your head.
“I can't believe you would - Minji, he’s twenty-four.” You grabbed the napkins from the table to wipe off whatever of your drink that had gotten on you. “Besides, I’m sixteen. Just because I’ve been dying to fucking kiss him for years -”
“Oh, who are we talking about?” The voice made you freeze and you saw Minji attempt to hide her laughter. You looked up towards the voice, seeing the one and only Park Chanyeol. He sat down next to you and gave you a smile.
“Nobody you would know.” You waved him off. He crossed his arms over his chest. You looked at Minji. “Minji, you’ve met Chanyeol before.”
“Ah, yes.” Minji had only met him a couple times, birthday parties and when they crossed paths at your house. “I’ve heard a lot about you, too.” You shot her a glare but she just ignored you.
“So, who were you talking about?” He looked at you before he took a sip of your drink. You and Chanyeol were very close, he often messed with you just to frazzle you and luckily for him, it worked. You blushed as he set the cup back down and you could tell both Minji and Chanyeol were getting a kick out of your face looking like a tomato.
“Some kid at school.” You cleared your throat. “You know. Boys and stuff.” You wondered if he had heard anything else because if he had, you were royally screwed. You were sure he already knew about your small, nearly non-existent crush on him.
Who were you kidding, you were in love with the guy.
“Shit,” Minji mumbled across from the table. “I forgot I was supposed to meet Yoojin. You’ll have to come with, I don’t have time to drive you home -”
“I’ll drive her.” Chanyeol offered, stealing your cup again. Both you and Minji looked over in shock but silently you thanked him for that. It wasn’t that you hated Minji and Yoojin, you just hated third wheeling.
“(Y/N), walk with me to the garbage can.” Minji literally commanded you. You followed her and the two of you stopped at the garbage.
“What -”
“Dude, he’s literally so fucking into you, are you blind?” Her eyes were wide as she stared at you, leaving you too shocked to answer.
“Minji, please, he’s eight years older than me, the last thing he’d be is into me. He still thinks I’m a ten year old kid.” You attempted to tell her. She just shook her head.
“In my opinion, my expert opinion, he’s into you and that’s why your mom doesn’t want him around you anymore.” She touched your shoulder. “You should’ve seen his face when you said ‘boys and stuff’.”
You let Minji’s words sink in before you waved her away and walked back to Chanyeol. There was no way she was right, Chanyeol had known you literally your whole life. He definitely didn’t like you. Besides, there were all kinds of things wrong with it.
“Do you mind walking around a bit more?” He asked. “I was walking around when I saw you.”
“Yeah sure, that’s cool.” You gave him a small smile. The two of you walked around for a while, and despite his long legs, he kept in perfect pace with you. The two of you walked slowly as you talked.
“Dude, we have to go in there.” Chanyeol stopped and you followed his. You laughed, shaking your head as you looked at the arcade.
“Chan, aren’t you a bit old to be going in there?” Once you said that he turned to look at you, narrowing his eyes. You bit your lip to stop your smile.
“C’mon, you know you want to.” He nudged your shoulder. “You’re never too old to have an adventure.”
“Adventure? It’s an arcade.” You laughed at him.
“Anything’s an adventure when you’re with a person you enjoy being around.”
That’s how Park Chanyeol suckered you into going into an arcade for the first time since you were around seven years old. You shouldn’t have let him go to the claw machine because at this point, he’d probably blown twenty dollars. No matter how much you tried to pull him away from the machine, he insisted he kept going.
“Chan, c’mon, you can’t spend all of your money on one -”
“I almost got it.” He whined. “One more try.” You sighed and gave up, standing back and letting him go once more. Your jaw dropped when he actually got what he was going for on the last try. You smacked his arm and he just laughed at you.
“That’s so unfair.” You gasped. He grabbed the small stuffed lion and held it out to you with a grin.
“To remind you of my awesomeness.” He waited for you to grab it. “Shall we get you home?” That almost made you frown as your fingers wrapped around the soft lion that Chanyeol just gave you. You nodded even though you were far from ready to go home.
When you arrived home, you thanked him for driving you and he smiled in return. You walked straight into your room and closed the door behind you as you sighed and fell onto your bed. You held the lion to your chest and looked at the ceiling fan rotating above you.
Why’d you have to fall for your brother’s best friend? And why the hell was he so unobtainable?
You weren’t aware of how long you just sat there, with your eyes narrowed at the ceiling. It was suddenly 11:00 PM and you cursed under your breath. You pulled out your phone and, out of instinct, you dialed Chanyeol’s number.
“Why are you awake?” He scolded you as soon as he picked up. “I just dropped your brother off.”
“Chan, I’m bored, and it was you or my ceiling.” You gave him an exaggerated sigh.
“Hey, you could’ve called Minji or that one guy.” He said matter-of-factly.
“What one guy?” You crinkled your nose.
“Oh, I don’t know, maybe the one you said you’ve been dying to kiss for years.” Did he sound petty? You decided to ignore it as you rolled your eyes. If only he knew.
“You dummy, if I had his number I would’ve kissed him already.” You lied. You could practically hear him roll his eyes. You laughed. “Besides, I don’t even - I don’t want his number.”
“Why’s that?”
“None of your business.” You shot back.
“Oh, someone’s being secretive.” His voice was laced with humor, his mocking nature coming out at full force.
For almost an hour, the two of you bickered back and forth over your ‘school crush’ while you laughed internally at how oblivious he was. When your mom interrupted your phone call, you told her you were on the phone with Minji and that you’d quiet down.
That brought up the topic of why your mom didn’t want Chanyeol around.
“So that’s all she said? You’re not allowed around anymore because you’re a bad influence?” The words leaving your mouth made them even harder to process. Chanyeol had never influenced you poorly in your life.
“Yeah...I’m not even supposed to be talking to you.” You heard the pause in his voice towards the end of his sentence. Why couldn’t he talk to you?
“That’s bullshit.” You whined. “You haven’t done anything wrong.” There was a small chuckle on the other end of the phone.
“I’ll have to disagree with you on that one.” He probably hadn’t expected you to laugh at that.
“Yeah right.” You scoffed. “Chan, you couldn’t hurt a fly.”
“I don’t think this is about hurting anyone.” He laughed softly. “You should get some rest, you have school tomorrow.”
“I want to talk to you.” You told him honestly. He was silent for a moment and you couldn’t help but wonder what he was thinking.
“You shouldn’t want to.” He said quietly. “She’s right. I’m no good for you.”
“But I do want to. And I’m going to annoy you until you answer.” You shrugged, playing with the bracelet on your wrist. “So it might just help you if you answer the first time.”
“You’re going to get me in so much trouble.” He said it jokingly but you couldn’t help but feel your heart flutter. He must’ve noticed your silence. “You okay?”
“Yeah, yeah, I’m good.” You smiled to yourself. “When can I see you?”
“You could ask your brother to go with him. He’s supposed to come over tomorrow.” His words suddenly made you remember your brother, that Chanyeol was your brother’s friend.
“Shit, I completely forgot about him.” You groaned. “I don’t want to be around him more than I have to be.”
“You forgot about your brother?” You could hear the humor laced in his voice.
“I see him everyday, I’m more concentrated on seeing you right now.” Maybe you made it obvious to him that you loved him, maybe you didn’t, but it didn’t matter. You knew nothing would come from it but that didn’t mean you would stop hanging around him.
“Alright, how’s this,” He paused for a second. “I’ll pick you up after school tomorrow and I’ll cancel on your brother.”
“You’d really cancel on my brother for me?”
“I see him everyday.” He repeated your phrase and you chuckled quietly.
“You’re something else.”
“I should be saying that to you.” He replied. “You should also be sleeping. It’s almost midnight. We’ve been talking for an hour and a half now.”
“I don’t want to sleep, I still want to talk to you. Resistance is futile.”
“So you’re telling me that even if I hang up you won’t go to sleep?” He asked softly.
“Precisely.” You grinned. “So you may as well keep talking to me.”
“You never give up. Just like you never give me my things back, where is my red sweatshirt?”
“Yeah, you’re probably not gonna get that back.”
“This is what I get for being nice.” He tsked. “It’s okay. It doesn’t bother me. Just because it’s you.”
“I’ll drive to your place tomorrow.” You told him. “You don’t have to cancel on Jinhwa, I’ll just come over later.”
“Mm, and tomorrow’s Friday. You planned this, didn’t you?” He teased you.
“If you say so, Chan.” You mumbled. “I’m gonna go to sleep now. I’ll see you tomorrow.” I love you.
“Okay, (Y/N).” His voice was quiet and soothing. “Goodnight.”
And for some reason, you swore you heard his mental ‘I love you’ as clearly as your own.
You knocked on Chanyeol’s door not even half an hour after your brother left. He opened it with a smile, allowing you inside without a second thought. He hugged you tightly before the two of you settled on the couch to watch a movie. You leaned your head against his shoulder and his arm was slung over yours. You always felt safe around him, like nothing could hurt you.
“What color should I dye my hair?” Chanyeol asked, scrunching his nose up. The movie both of you picked was pretty much forgotten at this point. You leaned away to look at him, running your fingers through the raven black hair. You narrowed your eyes in concentration before the color came in your mind.
“Red.” You told him. He raised his eyebrow at you.
“Seriously?”
“Yeah! Maybe I’ll have a reason to give you back that red sweatshirt.” You teased him.
“I like when you wear it though.” The words were so simple yet so full. Your heart skipped a beat and you looked into Chanyeol’s eyes. The air around the two of you became tense and his words made you happier than they should’ve.
“Why?” The question was innocent, you didn’t expect Chanyeol to tell you what he did.
“Because I love you.” He was quiet, quieter than you’d ever heard him before. You didn’t know what to do - did you tell him? Did you move away from him? You knew your brother would be so mad, your mother as well. There was no denying it, you loved him.
“Chanyeol…”
“I don’t expect anything.” He said quickly. “I know it’s bad, in every way, you’re technically still a kid and I should find someone my own age but you’re just...always on my mind. That’s why your mom doesn’t let me around you anymore. She knows.”
“I’m old enough to make my own decisions.” You said stubbornly. You heard a small chuckle leave his lips and you frowned. What was funny about what you said?
“You...you’re never one to give up, that’s for sure.” His hand was over yours now and you were certain your heart was going to burst right out of your chest.
“I don’t want to give up.” You moved closer to him and you could clearly see his body tense.
“You have no idea how bad this is.” He whispered, clearing his throat. “We can’t…” You ignored him. You absolutely had no idea what you were doing, but you had kissed a couple people in your time. As soon as you kissed him, he seemingly melted in your touch.
You’d always imagined what his lips would feel like. They were soft and he tasted like popcorn. You gripped his arms tightly and he pulled you close to him and over his lap. You didn’t know how far this would go, but you were enjoying Chanyeol right now.
“This is so bad.” He whined once his lips left yours, only to reconnect them seconds later. You never thought you would be this close to Chanyeol and the thrill it gave you surpassed any dangers that could’ve worried you.
His grip on your hips was firm, his hands were like steel and yours were in his hair. You’d always enjoyed how soft his hair was, and he never minded when you played with it.
The knock at the door pulled Chanyeol away from you. You almost whined, but you moved off his lap and fell against the couch. You couldn’t believe that had just happened, you were definitely confused - there was no way Chanyeol didn’t love you.
When Chanyeol opened the door there was a slight exchange of words before a familiar face entered Chanyeol’s apartment - Kim Junmyeon, another friend of Chanyeol and your brother. You’d seen him around a lot but he never bothered to have even the smallest conversation with you. You didn’t blame him, he was even older than your brother.
“Is - Chan, is that Jinhwa’s little sister?” Junmyeon must’ve been taken aback. You stood up and bowed your head to him in respect, glad that the lights were off or he would’ve seen your blush.
“It’s nice to see you, Junmyeon.” You gave him a small smile before you headed towards Chanyeol.
“Chanyeol.” Junmyeon’s voice was usually soft and full of humor, but now he was completely serious. “You have Jinhwa’s little sister in your apartment, with the lights off, watching a movie?” The assumption made your face heat up.
“Jun, you know I wouldn’t do that.” Chanyeol said, matching Junmyeon’s tone perfectly. “I’m not an idiot. She’s a friend, what’s wrong with that?”
“What’s wrong with that?” Junmyeon scoffed. “She’s nearly ten years younger than you! She’s not even legal yet, even having her here is just weird.”
“It doesn’t matter if she’s legal or not because we’re not doing anything wrong!” Chanyeol’s voice began to raise and you knew that if you didn’t stop them, things would escalate even more. Your brother didn’t even know you were there.
“Junmyeon, he’s like a brother to me.” That was more of a lie than anything you’d ever told in your entire life, you were sure. “I haven’t seen him in weeks and I asked if I could come over. He didn’t do anything wrong. Wouldn’t you lie to your family if you had to, to see your brother?” You tilted your head to the side and heard the sigh escape Junmyeon’s lips.
“See?” Chanyeol’s voice was significantly quieter. “You of all people should know that I’m not a bad guy. Besides, who the hell watches a movie with the lights on?”
You half expected Junmyeon to tell the two of you that he was going to stay for the rest of the movie, and that upset you. You and Chanyeol had a lot to talk about. Junmyeon didn’t take much time to leave with his trust in Chanyeol (wrongly) restored.
Now the two of you sat at a reasonable space apart on the couch, you looking at your hands in your lap and him looking at you. After Junmyeon said the things he did, you realized your mistake and you were sure you’d never be able to show your face around Chanyeol again. He was going to acknowledge his mistake, probably make you leave, and you’d never speak to him again. That scared you. You had Chanyeol your whole life and the idea of not seeing him was almost enough to make you cry.
“So,” You began quietly after clearing your throat. “I’ll go now. I’m sorry.” You stood up. Once you began to walk, you were more than shocked when you felt his fingers around your wrist.
“Why are you leaving?” He asked.
“Because.” You shrugged. “You’re going to tell me that I should anyway, right?” Chanyeol seemed taken aback by your words. This man was full of surprises.
“Why would I tell you to leave?” He pulled you back down to the couch and you almost felt numb. Why wouldn’t he tell you to leave? Of course he would, there was no way this could continue. Junmyeon was probably telling your brother of everything right now.
“Because I was wrong.” You whispered. “I made you kiss me.” You didn’t expect the short laugh that came from his mouth, and you were more than confused.
“You didn’t make me do anything.” He replied simply, shrugging his shoulders. “I kissed you just as much as you kissed me.” That wasn’t true. Although, he had pulled you onto his lap. That had to mean something, didn’t it?
“Why...why did you kiss me back?” You asked, hoping the timidness of your voice didn’t give away how desperately you loved him. You’d loved him for years, despite the obvious obstacles. You just didn’t care.
“I already told you.” His words made you remember when his confession slipped past his lips. He loved you. He. Loved. You. He said it himself, but why was it so hard to believe him? Because he was out of your reach; older.
“You can’t mean that, Chan.” You said quietly. “How can you mean that? Jinhwa would kill both of us and...we just -”
“I know.” Was his only reply. He shifted so he faced you. “I know I shouldn’t love you. But I do. I can’t help it and maybe it is pathetic, but I don’t care.”
“There’s nothing pathetic about loving someone.” You found yourself defending him but maybe in a way, he was right.
“You can’t tell me that a twenty-four year old man being in love with a sixteen year old girl isn’t pathetic.” He scoffed, shaking his head. He ran his fingers through his hair.
“Chanyeol,” You slid your hand into his, feeling his fingers intertwine with yours. “You can’t tell me that a sixteen year old girl being in love with a twenty-four year old man isn’t pathetic.” He looked at you and you could see the conflict in his eyes.
“That’s different.” He told you, shaking his head.
“Chanyeol?” You waited for him to look at you.
“What?”
“Will you kiss me again?” His eyes softened once the words left your lips. He let go of your hand and you were sure that was the point where you would have to go. Instead, his fingers gently touched your cheek, making your breath hitch unwillingly.
He gave you the tiniest smile before he leaned in and took your lips with his once again. You were unsure of what to do at first, but soon you moved your lips against his. His fingers ran through your hair and you smiled into the kiss. He pulled away from you.
“Chanyeol, it was you.”
“What was me?” He asked, breathless from your kiss.
“The guy I’ve wanted to kiss for years. It was you.” The words barely left your mouth before he kissed you again. His hands gripped the fabric of your shirt and tugged to pull you over his lap again. You’d never been so close to him before, your heart was pounding in your chest. What if he wanted to have sex? Were you ready for that? Would you give yourself to Chanyeol so quickly?
“I hope I’m not disappointing you.” Even in moments like this, he could still joke and laugh. That added to the reasons why you loved him. You had to admit that his lips on yours and his body so close to yours was beginning to do some things to you.
“You could never.” You replied, biting down on your bottom lip as you looked into his eyes. Your heart was seriously going to burst right out of your chest and his eyes were so soft that you couldn’t help but fall for him more.
“Do you know how bad this is?” He whispered, yet his hands were still gripping onto your shirt.
“I’m sorry.” You replied. “I can’t lie to you anymore. It’s you. The one I’ve wanted to kiss for years, the person I wanted to love me back the most.”
“I’ve loved you for over a year.” He admitted to you. “At your fifteenth birthday party, I wanted to kiss you more than I’d ever wanted to kiss anymore...and then your sixteenth birthday...you were wearing my sweatshirt and I wanted that to be something that happened all the time.”
“I’ll make a mental note to wear it more.” You told him seriously. However, he threw his head back and laughed, the glorious sound travelling across the room. Looking at him like that also reminded you just how you were positioned.
You were sure that even in the darkness, he could see how pink your face had become.
“I-I should go.” You mumbled, standing up before you felt him grab your wrist. You turned back to face him.
“Aren’t you going to stay?” He asked. Did he want you to spend the night with you? Your eyes widened and you hoped he wasn’t suggesting what you thought he was.
“Chan, I-I shouldn’t -”
“I didn’t mean it like that.” This time you saw his blush. He ran his fingers through his hair. “I meant just stay the night. And you know. Sleep. Like what people normally do.” You chuckled quietly and patted your cheek before you sat back down.
“I’ll tell my mom I’m staying at Minji’s.”
“And you’re probably already tired. C’mon, you went to bed past midnight last night and went to school at six.” He grabbed your hand and led you to his room, and this felt normal. You’d never slept next to Chanyeol or in his bed, but it oddly felt normal to be curled up next to him.
“Chan?” You hummed, using his warmth as your own as you cuddled with him. Chanyeol was also the first guy you’d cuddled with. It was quite a step for you, but you’d never admit that to him.
“Hm?”
“You’re really warm.” You turned to face him and buried your head in his chest, feeling his fingers playing with his hair as he laughed at you. He leaned down to kiss your forehead.
“Get some sleep, (Y/N).” He told you.
“But, Chan?”
“Yes?”
“I love you.” The words slipped out before you could stop them. There was no pause before you received his answer.
“I love you too.”
