I have some wonderful news
For ages it’s bothered me that the Yogscast Live channel doesn’t have the VODs for the 2012 and 2013 charity livestreams.
Fortunately, after a bit of searching, I found them on Archive.org.
Unfortunately, they were all split up into 30 minute segments and incorrectly ordered in many places.
So, after several days of work I have edited all the streams back into their full lengths* and posted them via @yogarchive in their proper glory.
Please enjoy this collection of (semi) lost Yogscast media :]
Honeydew's Honey Drive (2012) | Dwarven Dairy Drive (2013)
*Many of the 2012 streams are incomplete/missing small chunks of footage. I have decided to edit and upload them despite this to preserve as much content as possible. I have put markers in the videos where the missing chunks are and hopefully I will find full length versions of the VODs at some point

this video is making me lose it purely because of the knowledge RT used to watch old Yogscast content and probably knows exactly how to wind Lewis up lmfao

i’ve never felt so old than seeing a tiktok of someone naming a bunch of different smps and with the exception of on-going series (like hermitcraft) none of the smps they named were older than 2020 😭

When i was a kid I had NEVER even seen a Jaffa Cake before, so watching the original Jaffa Factory series just made me want to try these mysterious cakes so bad
one morning i woke up to a box of them in the kitchen and i genuinely thought i was dreaming because "HOW!! HOW ARE THESE HERE?" and after I got over my shock, asked mum if i could have some.
They were delicious

Because most of Hollywood these days is made up of talentless hacks. They’d honestly be better off approaching Minecraft YouTubers and asking them to make it.
Maybe I’m just a hater but how come the live action Minecraft movie is gonna be about modern day kids going to Minecraft world making cynical quips and one liners and memes and not the melancholic loneliness of Steve in a damaged but recovering world

Mr Martyn it’s come to my attention that some people don’t know what a hold you had on early Minecraft days, aka: they didn’t know you did Minecraft parodies.
How do you feel about the fact some people don’t know an integral part of your YouTuber lore?
Yuuuuuup, I've been around from the start basically. Began playing in 2010, started content early 2011.
I think because I was solely MC for my first year or two then branched out to variety content in the years that followed, that may have impacted people's awareness or association with MC. I was never in any major SMPs either like the Mianites or others (I did join Tekkit briefly but it just wasn't my vibe)
But yeah... I've done a lot.
- Attended Minecon Vegas
- Released Form This Way very close to TNT, so THAT old, as well as other MC parodies
- Played in the first Noxcrew Gameshow which went on to become MCC
- Hosted MC Live for Mojang with other creators
And that's just a few things. Somebody did make a whole iceberg image which I reacted to once lol
I mentioned it in a song lyric once in a TikTok post that "I'm overlooked as an OG", which I feel is true but it's also not something I'm bitter about. I'm not looking to be on any Minecraft rushmores ha - I'm just grateful I've been able to spend my entire adult life thus far being my own boss and doing such a fun/creative job
If there's any kind of validation I seek, it's from my peers, which does feel present. I've been trusted by everyone from Hermits to Yogscast, Noxcrew to POW to bring value to their products in all kinds of way, comedic, professional and creative. So that really fills my cup / confidence
So yeah. I don't have retirement money and will be forgotten a lot quicker than others but I'm very proud of what I've done and hopefully will do 😊

I dreamed I was at some kind of big family reunion/lunch thing, and the youtuber Duncan (of the yogscast) was there too, and we had someone walking around with a camera live-streaming it to the internet for the family members who couldn't make it.
Duncan happened to introduce himself with his full name, in a slightly obnoxious way.
I later noticed some chat in the video about that point from Light Yagami... KIRA!
So I ran off to grab Duncan and tell him that his name might be in the death note and we needed to protect him so quick, get to the attic: the death note doesn't work if you're too high from the ground(?)

hi are you aware this sounds Even Worse Actually,
something I have so many thoughts about but havent articulated before is that hermitcraft and its associated servers, and lifesteal and servers like it, despite both being survival multiplayer minecraft servers, are entirely different genres of minecraft youtube
hermitcraft, the life series, empires, truly bedrock, rats smp in some povs, and servers adjacent to them are let's plays. viewers sit with the creator and watch them complete various tasks or do whatever they do in their environment while listening to the creator's live commentary. these are episodic; everything is relatively small, links together into a chronological story, in whatever shape that may take.
lifesteal smp, earthbound smp, and servers like them are usually called "smp content". videos here are often more standalone (as opposed to episodic). creators often write scripts to summarize events after they've occurred, leaning fairly heavily on narration in one form or another. smp content often tries to optimize to the algorithm; you'll see very catchy thumbnails and exciting, interesting, clickable titles, and sometimes you might even see those things change as the creator tries out something different.
there are certainly exceptions to these rules - for example, oli orionsound has the upload schedule of some smp-style creators, and his resulting creations do have some visual and creative similarities to smp content! baconnwaffles0 uses his streams and resulting stream highlights to tell a story which is ultimately somewhat episodic, weaving in and around the main "lore" of lifesteal and simply showcasing the day to day life of himself and his team. and, of the so far one dominion smp video ive seen, vikingpilot seemed to blend these two genres together, interspersing events recorded with friends with narration explaining his story and lore, ultimately building up a narrative across videos that requires them to be seen in order. (I think. Again, not an expert here.)
my point here is that there are very distinct and marked structural and stylistic differences between hermitcraft and lifesteal. if you're a hermitcraft enjoyer concerned about too many new uploads, most lifesteal videos are a special occasion and action is usually found in livestreams (this could be fun or stressful, depending). if you're a lifesteal enjoyer you may find hermitcraft's regularity and often lower stakes to be understimulating, or maybe you'll be relieved to be able to entirely keep up with hermitcraft and its sister servers in videos alone. who knows! they're very different, in a good way

Minecraft had such a good fandom in 12-14, there were so many great animations and AMVs flying around. I wish Dig Build Live (joint account of Slamacow, Bootstrap Buckaroo, and Captainsparklez) would rise again.
Honorary Mentions:
CraftedMovie (for those of you who know Grian from Hermitcraft, this channel is where some of his roots are, he would build the sets and act if needed. The background music they used were all so bouncy and fun)
Bootstrap Buckaroo was a literal professional animator that would lend a hand and make the character models and rigs for the Captainsparklez music videos around Fallen Kingdom and later
Weed lion- idk if he wiped his archive but he mostly animated for/with Team Crafted (SkydoesMinecraft’s group)
Ceeraanoo- animated ‘Screw the Nether’, ‘Moonquest’, ‘How Do I Craft This Again?’, and a few others for The Yogscast.
W Labs std- honestly I JUST discovered these guys while strolling down memory lane listening to Minecraft music parodies for this post and I already love their animation style!
