The last 2 Saturdays I lead a yoga detox workshop. The word detox is thrown around quite easily these days. It's become a buzz word. Not the kind of thing I usually give into. But I do believe that when used in a way where we inform people honestly about the bodies ability to detox itself, and how yoga can actually be used to help in the process, then we can start having a real conversation. The workshop itself becomes a tool, a launch in the right direction to put in place better daily habits and help our bodies in this natural process of detoxing itself by feeding it the right food, by drinking more water, by eliminating the harmful substances we put in or on our bodies. Yoga postures help stimulating the digestive system, the lymphatic system, helps us sweat, and most of all, keeps us aware. And awareness leads us to live a life of consciousness.
