Watson's secret talent

I can't believe that in Letters from Watson we are in the eleventh chapter of The Hound of the Baskervilles and Watson has the chance to show us again his secret talent: how to deal with ✨people✨.

In previous chapter we read how he uses his talent for listening with Dr. Mortimer and distracts him talking about skulls. In this chapter Watson interviews Mrs. Laura Lyons alone with a clumsy introduction and using his knowledge of the gossip. Later he has the chance to talk with Mr. Frankland and continued with the gossip using the power of the indiference against Frankland. He even could use the telescope!

Watson as a doctor has to deal with different people, some of them in really difficult situations and he shares rooms with a very eccentric man, so Watson knows a lot how to deal with this kind of people. I know I read this before in another place... yeah, small spoiler/not so spoiler of the manga Yuukoku no Moriarty/Moriarty The Patriot vol 17:

And then at last I heard him. Far away came the sharp clink of a boot striking upon a stone. Then another and yet another, coming nearer and nearer. I shrank back into the darkest corner, and cocked the pistol in my pocket, determined not to discover myself until I had an opportunity of seeing something of the stranger. There was a long pause which showed that he had stopped. Then once more the footsteps approached and a shadow fell across the opening of the hut.

S/O Wearing Glasses Headcanons II

Sherlock Holmes, John H. Watson, and Billy the Kid

Sherlock Holmes

He makes sure your eyes and glasses are safe when you two are testing experiments.

He may not do chores a lot in his flat, but he straightens up and cleans so you won't trip or bump into things when you visit.

Surprisingly, he's the one who always reminds you about check-ups and makes sure you don't strain your eyes too much.

He might say it in a snide remark or a sarcastic comment, but it's just how he shows he cares.

When you lose your glasses, Sherlock always knows where it is.

Once, you broke your glasses while chasing a perp. The lens shattered and cut your face.

Sherlock found you on the ground with blood all over your face while the perp was slowly standing up from the collision.

Needless to say, the perp was thrown in the back of the police carriage. Literally.

After that, he makes sure to come with you whenever you buy a new pair.

He also makes sure you're out of danger or within his reach just in case.

John H. Watson

He thinks you're the most precious thing he's ever seen whenever you wear them.

It makes his heart flutter whenever he sees you wearing your glasses while reading his books intensely.

Whenever you feel insecure about your glasses, he gives you heartfelt compliments, one after another.

You always get so flustered that you don't have time to feel insecure.

Whenever you take a nap or rest your eyes from wearing glasses, he always cleans them and wipes the smudges.

When you go out to buy a new pair, he likes to look through the options and see you try them on.

And when you ask for his opinion, he tells you how great you look with the most sincere eyes.

Once, he found you fumbling through your place to look for your glasses and immediately helped and guided you.

After you found it, he helped clean up your place, no questions asked.

When you broke your glasses and couldn't immediately get a new one, John happily linked your arms together as you navigated the day side by side, and he made sure you wouldn't get hurt and read things for you.

Billy the Kid

He has definitely teased you about them, calling you the brain, his little brainiac, or cute little nerd, whether true or not. 

He tried putting them on one time and asked how he looked (a fuzzy bunch of colors. But a CUTE fuzzy bunch of colors, as he emphasized) 

He definitely hid your glasses in the past, making you cling to him as you look for them. 

Karma hit him when you started looking closely at Sherlock at William to recognize them, too close in Billy's perspective. 

Billy quickly put your glasses on and held you close, warning the two despite it being his fault. 

Since then, Billy stopped messing around as much... only when he knows you're alone. 

When Billy sees you having a hard time reading something, he whispers it to you.

When Billy sees you about to bump into something, he grabs you by the waist and guides you away from it. 

He also likes shopping for a new pair with you and trying them on. 

He has suggested buying a matching pair for you both, despite his just being a fashion statement.

I tried doing some chibis as a treat. I hope they are cute as I never did them much. I don't know if I'll do more at a later date, there's still some work in my personal life to be done.

I love how YuuMori Watson likes to lie a bit to change some details in different cases <3

Huh. I like yuumori's choice to very much change the details of the Milverton case, especially in the context for how Watson says he is changing details in the book. Since this would actually be a published story in the yuumori verse eventually.

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat after that cliffhanger, Watson. Super curious how this will end. Does Holmes shoot Milverton here too? And have it accidentally become a perfect crime? Or will something else happen?

Late night, after work, browsing through Louis Wain (an artist from the Victoria era) cat arts to comfort myself and I was thinking if I can find a cat art what matches the Yuumori characters. For the most, I did!

Danger, danger, cuidado ⚠️.

Chapter 13 of "The Valley of Fear" arrived and it's inevitable to sing the Y2K song "Indestructible" from Rigeo. I know that this chapter is about an external danger to the secret society, but that song fits Jack because he is the danger.

McMurdo is so smart in this chapter that he could perfectly be the protagonist of another story. Especially after this:

“I'm an honest man in some things, Ettie. I wouldn't hurt a hair of your bonny head for all that the world can give, nor ever pull you down one inch from the golden throne above the clouds where I always see you. Would you trust me?”

Dude, you strangled her in the previous chapter. You're lucky that Ettie didn't run away after that ರ⁠╭⁠╮⁠ರ

Pinkerton mentioned! But that's one of those topics that doesn't matter how much I read about them, I always forget their story. I just remember reading "The Valley of Fear" arc in the manga Yuukoku no Moriarty, which is based on a movie IIRC and mixes with Billy the Kid.

Yeah, weird mix.
