The Demon Lord’s Bride

Rei Sakuma x Reader

Note: FCKNG DOWN BAD FOR THIS HOT VAMP. THE ORIGINAL SCOUT IS OUT AND STILL DOWN BAD FOR HIM. Even though the theme scout is still there, I chose the hot vamp since the magician didn't come home and I was suffering. Since Rei's Entrancing Myth card is not at the standard (hoping that his card is included at the standard), I'll use the free dia tickets to pull for him. It's his fault I better tell you.

If you saw some parts that it seemed like you're falling for Rei mf-ing Sakuma, then yeah, I am simping so bad that I wrote it down. It's been a while since I last wrote a fic that I joined a club as a writer to enhance my writing skills because the subjects at school kept me limited on what I wanted to write. My writing skills got rusty. I loathe school but I need to finish it.

P.S. This is a reincarnation AU (holy sht I'm such a sucker for this kind of AU) (at the most part of the story) where the reader and Rei (+Ritsu) is in the Victorian era. They're both demons in this AU.

P.P.S. I included some spoilers from the anime ( pls watch it I always have a good laugh with Trickstar and the other YMSK main units' shenanigans)

Warning: Some slightly suggestive (idk. my first time writing something like this) and spicy scenes at the later part. (blame my classmates for this)

I. First Meeting With Him

It was a quiet evening in the castle. The scent of burnt wood in the room, the soft melody from the music box, and sounds of pages shifting from the book you read made you feel at ease. You were wondering why how did you end up in one of the bedchambers in the castle of the Demon Lord. The moments earlier in the morning made you forget the fear you felt in you. Why? That's because you were "kidnapped" by the Demon Lord himself. You often heard the rumors from the townspeople about the Demon Lord return to the town for the next blood sacrifice once in every century. You always ignored it since it was just a rumor. Just a rumor, indeed. What you didn't expect is that you'll be chosen as the next human who'll take part of the said blood sacrifice. Wandering around the woods at night is already a mistake to be done by a harmless human and yet you done it for your peaceful nightly walks. Your humble home is far away from your view as you turn back and kept walking. You do know that it's dangerous to wander around at night but you never cared if you lost your life in the quiet forest where different creatures lurking in the shadows at this time of hour. You walked along and followed the moonlit path where it'll lead you to a pond where the full moon is at the water's reflection, fireflies dancing above the surface, flowers bloom and being shone upon by the moonlight, and the stars shimmering the night sky like rhinestones on a black, velvet cloth. You stayed on the path and a red glow from the shadows caught your gaze. A pair of carmine orbs was seen in the shadows— no make it three pairs. You felt like that something or someone behind the shadows is looking back at you. Your curiosity knows no bounds that you began to stray away from the path you were taking that you fell in one of their trap. You realize what it was after remembering an entry from the book you read. You felt the urge to run but your body froze on the spot. For the first time, you regretted your actions. You closed your eyes as the shadow swallowed you and you lost consciousness. The ray of light shined down upon you and you woke up in a bliss. You opened your eyes and saw something different around you. Above you, is a canopy, the bed you slept on is bigger than the one in your house. You suddenly felt how soft the comforters and the bed's mattress that you drown yourself in the fluffy covers. Other than that, you felt something embracing you. You slowly shifted to what was embracing you and it was a man. His hair is as black as the raven's feathers, his skin is pale as a ghost, and his body is as cold as the night. His face seemed like he's in his 20's and you felt like melting. Men who have this kind of masculine features are always seen at town but the one right in front of you is a rare kind. Due to the proximity between you and him, your instinct suddenly came into you. You slowly loosen his embrace and gently remove yourself from his hold while holding your breath. While you're so close to your freedom, you felt your body being dragged back to him. You noticed that it felt the same on what happened to you at the forest last night. "So, do you plan on escaping when you know there is no way out?" You felt shivers on your spine when a warm breath touched the nape of your neck. You touched the back of your neck to remove the foreign feeling you felt until a hand grabbed yours and suddenly pinned you down on the bed. You close your eyes on what was about to happen to you and waited. You heard him chuckle that made you slowly open your eyes to see him smirk in delight. Your eyes shifted to see his own. Eyes that has the brilliant shade of carmine, the same one you saw last night. You kept on staring at it and he observed your reactions. "You realized that I and my beloved accomplices were the one who kidnapped you, hm?" Your face became pale. He chuckled again and held your chin gently. "Rest assured, miss. You were in grave danger last night that I took you in and protect you~" He slowly leaned closer and kissed your neck. You suddenly felt shivers once again. "How lucky I was that you were the one who is the next in line to offer me your blood." You felt your heart stopped when he said those words. He moved away from you and laid down beside you. "You didn't know I was observing you for this whole time. You were too vulnerable that you didn't felt something staring at you. I'm glad you were less aware." He sighed in disbelief, "You always ignore those rumors that it made me think that you were the right one for me. I once thought that you'll become my bride, too." "Pardon?" You were stunned. He rise up from the bed and look down on your lying figure with an amused face. "So you can speak! I thought you couldn't say a word that you were so quiet this whole time ever since you woke up." The word "bride" lingered in your mind. You, a woman who has no chance of getting married and live as a widow till death finally was able to create such thoughts of yourself at a wedding with this man as your groom. A faint blush spread across your cheeks that he made himself entertained at your reactions. "I want to apologize to you about our first meeting, miss. I will give you a proper introduction later after leaving this room." He said as he prepared himself to leave. "There are clothes for you to wear at the closet. Prepare yourself and come to the dining room at 9 'o clock~" It was 15 minutes before 9 and you finished preparing. You exited the room like nothing had happened in there. There are twins who entered your room after he left helped you with the preparations. They told you that they'll guide you on the way to the dining room. You were grateful for that because it's your first time in this place. On your way there, you spotted a male whose features is as the same as the one you met earlier but younger in looks. While the former's eyes is sharp, the latter's eyes is round and seemed sleepy. While he passed by at you, he gave you a blank gaze. You shrugged it off and kept walking. The twins stopped in front of the doors and opened it for you. What was seen in front of you is a long, white, marbled table with gold intricate linings. The chairs matched the table with its plush on the seat welcoming you to sit down. The white marble floor matching the aesthetic of the room along the pure, white walls. The windows reveal the morning blue sky with its rays passing through the glass. The man, who invited you for breakfast, is at the far end of the table. The twins gestured you to enter the room and you invited yourself in. They walked alongside you and led you to the chair near him. After they assisted you to take a seat, they bowed and left. "Good morning, miss." He greeted you with a smile like nothing happened. "Well then, let's eat and have a good conversation whilst we enjoy our meal." The well-known contents of the plate known to people every breakfast was all set on the plate; egg, bacon, and a toast on the side. You raised your fork and knife and ate. Minutes passed, only the sounds of clinking were only heard in the room. You heard him sip his morning tea as he look at you and observed you once again. This made you feel stiff and uncomfortable as you drank your tea. He set his tea cup on the saucer and spoke, "I want to apologize about earlier." You placed your tea cup and responded, "It's alright." He continued, "After I took you in, you couldn't let go of my sleeve and you seemed frightened in your sleep. The grip is so tight that you're scared of someone leaving you—" You suddenly jolted up from your seat and bowed down. "M-My apologies! I didn't mean to do that. I-I..." You tried to control your blush from spreading on your face. You were embarrassed and flustered— right in front of a stranger that you just met. He tried to hold his chuckle and cleared his throat and began to reassure you. "No, it's alright. It's fine. Please, take a seat." You couldn't even handle such embarrassment that you sat down and never dared to look up to see his face nor his reactions. He cleared his throat and continued on what he was about to say, "Anyways, I didn't left your side afterwards that I embraced you because you were shivering and embraced yourself in your sleep. I didn't expect that I'll fall asleep beside you after. I'll also have to apologize to you due to that reason." "N-No... It's fine..." You stuttered while forgiving his actions. You're still embarrassed to look up. It'll be more worse for you if you look back to him because you'll faint from embarrassment. The room was suddenly quiet due to the awkward tension between the two of you. He suddenly changed the topic as he let out a gentle smile. "You remind me of my brother while he's sleeping when we were little." Your mind recalled to the moment where you saw the boy you met at the halls. "I believe you met him on your way here, am I correct?" You nodded at his question. "And those twins who escorted you on the way here, they were the ones who dragged you and brought you to me." You remained silent while he continued on. He noticed how quiet you were that he forgot something important. "Ah, where are my manners? I forgot to introduce myself to you." He stood up from his seat and took your hand and led you away from the table. Bowed down and introduced himself. "I am Reinhart. You may call me Rei." He said as he kissed the knuckle of your hand. You returned his gesture with a smile. "I am (Name). You may call me with my own name." "Well, It's a pleasure to meet you, (Name)." He regained his posture and smiled. "Before I forget, there is something that you need to know." "I did tell you that you're chosen for the blood sacrifice this morning, right?" You gulped at his question. He chuckled and continued, "The truth is..." Your body suddenly went stiff at what he's about to say next. "You are chosen to become the Demon Lord's bride, not human blood sacrifice." You froze. "Those rumors you heard at the village, it was just them being over-exaggerated at their rumors to make them believe and spread the word to the others." "And lastly, this man in front of you," He inched closer and lifted your chin to look at him straight in the eye. "Is the Demon Lord himself." You closed the book you were reading just now and gently placed it on the table beside the bed and covered yourself under the covers. You panicked and silenced your screams with a pillow. "No one in town told me that I'm being chosen by him! So the rumors are the only signs of my doom?! They only talked about it every time I pass by! I should've left the town when I had the chance!" You ranted and began kicking your feet in anger. You were angry at yourself. "If only I've been more aware of what in the world is going on around me, I'll still be in my home, being cozy in the living room or at the bookstore reading books for the whole day." Sound of knocks from the door made you turn to where the doors are. You heard a voice from the other side of the door. "(Name), It's me." It was Rei. You immediately tidied yourself and the bed you slept on. You don't want him to see you in a distressed state. "Come in!" You said as you left the bed and stood beside it like a child waiting for its own parent to tuck them to bed. Rei opened the door and entered the room. He let out a warm, gentle smile and closed the door behind him. He look around and commented, "You seem like you were about to sleep." He gave you a smug look as he placed his finger on his chin and teased. "Were you waiting for me to tuck you to your bed and sleep beside you?" "N-No...?" You look away, flustered. You do seem like one right now. "I am not a child anymore, My Lord. If you have something important to tell me, say it right now before I go to bed." "My, you are the first human to act like this to of the Demon Lord himself." He stride himself towards you and stood before you. His tall figure intimidated you. "May I remind you that if you dare to act like this again, I will suck your blood dry and feast on your delicate skin." He leaned closer and inhaled your scent on the junction of your neck. You took a step back but he grabbed your waist and hold you closer to him. "Just kidding~♪" He said as he stuck his tongue out and blew air to your neck. You pushed him away from you and placed your hand to where Rei blew air. "My Lord, please stop teasing me." You hissed as a blush spread on your face. "Hehe, hearing you calling me "My Lord" makes me want to entertain myself with your adorable yet innocent actions, young maiden." He chuckled as a glint of mischief was evident on his handsome features. He tucked a hair behind your ear and look at your eyes. You look back at his and you were wondering how were you hypnotized by his beautiful red orbs. He slowly leaned closer and you mindlessly did the same. You both inched away from each other when you heard a few knocks on the door. "Big brother," It was the boy you met on the halls. "If you want to seduce your bride, you should've done it on the day of the ritual." Rei's aura changed when he turned to him. "Now, now, Ricchi. Don't be too sour when I'm just interacting with this adorable maiden right here~♪" He said cheerfully like a child and came running towards "Ricchi". "I forgot to introduce you to my brother. Ricchi, come here~" Rei said and his brother walked towards the two. "(Name), this is Richard, my younger brother. The one you encountered with this morning and the one I talked about to you." "Please to meet you, Richard." You curtsied and he did the same. He took your hand and kissed the back of it. "Pleased to meet you too, (Name)." 'Gosh, these two are completely the same in courtesy and etiquette.' You internally screamed and created a mental note. 'Rei acts differently towards his own brother from others. He loves his brother so much that he showed his brotherly affections towards him like a child...' "(Y/N), you can call Richard "Ricchi". He likes it when you call him that." Rei said and Richard stepped on his brother's foot and gave him a look of disgust. Rei winced in pain. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must leave. I'm here to remove the pest in the bride's bedchamber." Richard said as he glared at his brother who seemed oblivious and air headed at his brother's deadly glare. He grabbed his brother by the collar and dragged him out of the room. "Good night, (Y/N)~! See you tomorrow~" Rei bade good night while he was dragged by Ricchi and the door closed shut by no one in particular. 'What a night.'

II. A Moment With His Brother You were wandering around in the castle's garden and look up to see the grey clouds covering the midday sky. 'It seemed like it's about to rain...' "Is big brother down again?" You heard a voice behind you and turn around to see Richard gazing up on the sky. "He's always like this when he remembered what happened to the past." "Hello there," He let out a smile. "I came here to apologize for my rude actions last night." Surprised, you blinked twice and smiled back. "It's alright." And the both of you gazed once again at the sky. "Do you want to know what happened to them?" Richard asked you as he look at you carefully. He grimaced and sighed, "Your curious reaction tells me "yes". I'll take that as an answer." "They were killed. The ones who were close to my brother were hanged to death." He answered and lightning strikes crashed down from the clouds above. "They were killed and hunted down by the people in the neighboring town. They're the reason why my brother became so miserable all these years." "I haven't met them but brother often talked about them." Richard said as he turned his gaze to the only white rose that stood out in the midst of the rose bush. "Their innocent and joyful smiles made him smile happily. Back then, brother always wanted to make friends with a human every time he went out to town." Richard paused. He sat down on a stone bench near the rose bush and gestured you to sit beside him. You did as he told you and he continued, "You seem like you wanted more but I'll tell you more in exchange of something." You innocently wondered what and asked him, "What is it?" "Let me rest on your lap." And there was silence. "P-Pardon?" You couldn't believe on what you just heard that he repeated it again. "Let me rest on your lap. Don't tell me you haven't dated any man yet, didn't you?" "No, I haven't." You innocently replied. "Then date me or my brother." He said as he lied down on your lap. He turned to face you and gave you a glare. "Don't tell him I said that." "I won't. I promise." Richard shifted his position and look at the white rose and continued, "I always follow my brother when he's out of the castle. Demons and humans aren't supposed to make an encounter back then— fateful or not. But he, he just proved it wrong when he said that humans are kind and they were controlled by their own emotions. Like fear and anger..." Richard wandered around to look for his brother. He wanted to scold him for leaving the castle in secret. Demons aren't supposed to make and encounter with a human. "If only my parents are here, they'll give them a good scolding," Richard said as he let out a sleepy grin. "He would be grounded for eternity for being a fool towards the outside world." He continued searching and searching until he felt someone picking him up from the ground. He hissed and panicked that he wanted to see who carried him. "Reinhart, what's that on your hands?" Richard found his brother but he heard an another voice. "Ah, it's a kitten. Why is he wandering around in the woods?" Rei hold Richard by his scruff. Richard hissed, "Brother, I found you. Go home or I'll tell them that you met a human." Rei didn't react and tamed his own brother by a few pets and touches. Rei knew what his brother (in a form of a kitten) told him but he decided to play with him a little. His human friend was surprised at Rei's gentle actions towards the kitten. "Reinhart, I didn't know you're good with animals— especially cats." His friend complimented him. Rei patted the kitten's head and smiled. Rei chuckled, "Hehe, I learned how to tame one back at my home." "Curse you...!" Richard glared at him. He couldn't even see it because of a hand on his head, he was so sure that his brother gave him a smug smirk. Richard felt like dozing off in his brother's hold but jolted awake when he heard the human wanted to hold him. 'I'm going to prove my brother wrong but I'm too sleepy to defend myself...' Richard thought as he felt the human held him gently. He felt the warm touch on his small body and he began to drown himself in the warmth embracing him. He felt that they're going somewhere away from the forest and rested at the meadows nearby. He occasionally opened his eyes and heard laughter. Those gentle touches he felt from the human's hand made him sleep peacefully. He never felt this way before that he slept for the rest of the day. "He was right all along but I almost thought he was wrong when the castle was attacked by angry and mad humans but the ones who my brother held dear, died right in front of him." He continued and sadly looked up to the gloomy, cloudy sky. Richard shed a tear as he continued, "They killed our parents... while they're protecting us from danger and harm." You patted his head and comforted him. "To forget what happened and we existed, brother cursed them to forget us but the rumors made us remember and made them curious about us. In the end, we remained hidden in the castle, where no one could enter and leave except us." "Richard..." "If you want to live, live." Richard embraced you tight. You comforted him until he fell in a deep slumber.

You didn't know how long you two have been out here that your eyelids suddenly felt heavy. You weren't tired but something forced you to sleep. As your eyes closed shut, a hand covered your sleepy eyes and embraced you gently. It was night when you woke up. You're in your room once again. You look around and saw Richard resting his head on the side of the bed. He seemed like a little brother waiting for his older sibling to wake up from their sick state. You patted his head and he slowly shifted himself to be comfortable. 'Just like an actual cat, huh?' You wondered how soft Rei's hair is. Was it almost as Richard's, soft and silky or other than that? His hair seemed softer than Richard's. You quietly giggled at the thought that your mind went elsewhere and remembered what Richard told you earlier. You suddenly thought why you seemed to be close to the brothers. You thought that they're both welcoming and treated you as one of their own and yet you also knew that they're demons, the ones on the top of the food chain. They feed on humans and yet you felt attached to them. You sighed, you prayed that you will last long in this place without dying young and early. You lied down and rest. With your mind heavy with such deep thoughts, you relaxed yourself and remember your home.

III. Please Say My Name You felt the bed shifted due to someone' weight. You turn back to see Rei sitting on the side of the bed, facing you. "Ah, My Lord, what brings you here?" Rei remained quiet and looked at your eyes. He shifted his position to a more comfortable one to face you properly. You remembered about Richard and look back to see him but he's not there. His hand cupped your cheek and his other snaked your waist. "M-My Lord...?" You uttered. Rei suddenly embraced you tight, making you lean closer to him. "Didn't I told you to call me Rei...?" "Yes, but—" Rei placed a finger on your lips. "No buts, (Y/N). Say my name. You've been calling me that since yesterday." "I—" His actions made you stunned. 'He suddenly acted like I'm his lover. This was more realistic than the ones in the books.' He gave you a longing gaze. His eyes stared into yours. He waited for you to say his name out of your own lips. He shifted his gaze down on your lips. He seemed like he wanted to kiss you. You saw how he averted his gaze to your lips and blushed. 'Sir?! It's been a few days ever since we met and you wanted to kiss me? Please, oh please, can you please give me space?' You tried to utter out his name but nothing came out. You look down in disappointment and apologized. "I'm sorry, My Lord. I couldn't do it. It's been a while since we met and I couldn't be more comfortable to call you by your name because of our status." You closed your eyes in hope of a response from him. You felt his embrace loosen and you were out of his grasp. "I understand, (Name)." He gave you an understanding look but his saddened gaze was more obvious. "I'll give you time to address me by my name and my name alone." He said as he took your hand and kissed the back of it. You swore your blush became more darker because of his bold actions. Luckily, he couldn't see the blush on your face but he could feel the warmth seeping out of your body and heard your loud heartbeats. He placed your hand on his face and oh dear, his skin is so cold but the warmth of your hand made it impossible for you to feel his cold skin. Rei began to like the warmth of your hand. He felt how his hand touched yours. He began to soften himself at the warmth of your hand, it's so warm that it reminds him the fireside conversations he had with his parents along with his brother. He kissed the palm of your hand and trailed along to your wrist. You froze at his sudden intimate actions. You are internally screaming that you remained frozen and silent. 'Is he trying to make me faint? Goodness... this is too much...!' He playfully scraped his fangs on your wrist, tracing the veins visible on your skin. You whimpered in pain yet it felt strange that your body wanted him to do it anywhere on you. You shook your head at such thoughts. Rei saw this and you felt him smirk on your skin as he look at you with a seductive gaze. "Rei... please..." Rei stopped playing with your hand when his name caught his attention. He looked at you in surprise. He saw you closed your eyes shut, flustered at his actions. But he didn't mind. He thought if his mind is playing games with him once again. He wanted to hear it again from you. "(Name), can you... say it again?" He requested you to say his name again. You sighed, "Rei, I told you to stop what you were doing. It's giving me a—" Rei pounced towards you and nuzzled his face on your neck. "You said my name! Haha! This is such delightful news!" He cheerfully said as he hugged you tight. He was being careful not to crush you with his inhuman strength. You hugged him back and rolled your eyes in response. "Happy now?" And he nodded while nuzzling on your neck. He inhaled the scent on your neck that it sends you shivers to the spine. 'Stop being sensitive! He'll know where to touch you while teasing you!' You internally scold yourself while patting Rei's hair. "I'll tell this to Ricchi. I'll be right back." He disappeared like air. You were so sure you heard his joyful screams and laughter outside of the room. "Ricchi! (Name) called me by my name!" "Yeah, I heard it so keep your voice down. You ruined my nap!" "Ricchi! I want you to say her name when she's with me, please...!" "I hope you'll keep your mouth shut after I say "Yes", brother." "I will~♪" You chuckled at the conversation between the brothers. You sighed in content. The feeling of Rei's hair lingered on your hand. 'It is soft like what I just thought—' You slapped yourself. "Stop that! You're showing such emotions that you're not supposed to show in front of the person you didn't know that much! His affection is rubbing on you!" Your heart palpitated. You just realized that it beated this fast and loud. It happened a lot of times ever since you arrived yet you noticed it today. You grabbed the comforters and panicked underneath it. "Calm down, calm down, calm down. Don't you dare let him assert dominance to you while he caught you off guard." You froze. You hoped that he didn't heard what you said. Little did you know, he heard it while sitting on a chair beside the bed. He saw it all after chasing his own brother in the halls with the goofiest smile on his face.

IV. You Did Heard Them Talking About A Ritual You walked down the halls and checked every rooms to see if Rei is in there but he's not in there. You went around to see if he's in his study and to your dismay, he's not present in the said room. Your curiosity knows no bounds when you wandered around in his office. You were all vulnerable that it caught someone's attention. You felt a tight embrace and pulled you closer to someone you always know who will pull such a move to you. "Rei, your sudden actions won't scare me or surprise me anymore." You blankly commented at his attempt. He suddenly carried you and walked towards his seat behind his desk. He sat down and gently placed you on his lap. "What about now?" "Ineffective." You commented and crossed your arms. You remembered about what the brothers mentioned about last time. "Rei, I heard you and Richard talked about a "ritual". Care to tell me about it?" You questioned with a curious gaze. He placed a hand under his chin and answered, "The ritual? Hm... It's a ceremony that a man and a human will be together for eternity and seal it with a kiss." "You mean, a wedding ceremony?" You corrected him that you saw him blush. "That's what you humans call it? "Wedding"?" You nodded at his question. He went silent and his blush darkened. He hid his face on the junction of your neck. You could feel the warmth of his face. "For this whole time, the "sacred ritual" my parents often talked about every time they talked about their precious and heart-touching past is their "wedding"?! Why didn't they say that directly and let it off like nothing happened?! Was it too sacred that they didn't mention that word every time?!" You giggled at his reaction. 'He's too adorable.' You patted his shoulder, "There, there. You were too young to understand that back then that they didn't say it to you." You two didn't know that there was someone eavesdropping on you two that he leaned on the wall and sank to the floor, embarrassed. 'Mother, father, why did you lie to us...?' While he's hiding his embarrassment to you, a wave of thoughts came rushing into him of a sight of you in a wedding dress and him in a white coat with Richard as his best man, he and you exchanging each other's vows, him inserting your ring to your ring finger, kissed you in front of his guests to seal the vows you shared, for eternity. You, on the other hand, you saw yourself walking down the aisle and you saw Rei on the altar, waiting for you. You both exchange vows and rings and watched him lifting your veil and kissed you like a fairy tale in a fantasy story. You felt steam coming out of your ears and you covered your face, flustered at the thought. Rei grabbed your hands and kissed your fingers. "One day, on the day of the ritual— I mean, w-wedding, I will make you mine and swore to you that I will love you until the day we lost our final breath." He stuttered while proposing to you that your mind went blank. He kissed the back of your hand and placed it on his cheek. Your blush darkened. You were too weak to his intimate yet bold actions. 'He's so bold and romantic yet he’s so adorable at the same time...!'

V. What Happens In The Room, Stays In The Room Days turned to weeks and weeks turned into months. Your stay in the castle went longer than expected. You were wondering when was the day of the "ritual" and you were able to know what happened to the humans who died in the tragedy. Your days spent with Rei were never dull. He knows where to push the buttons while he's giving you his otherworldly affection. Not to mention, he mindlessly courted you while you're half asleep that you said yes in your sleep. It became a core memory to him that he couldn't stop reminding you when both of you are alone. Richard wanted to throw his brother to hell for disturbing his scheduled naps when he said something about you. But he secretly told you about how Rei is smitten and over the moon when it comes you. From the day he first saw you when he chose you as his bride, he started to become more romantic that made your head spin. You blushed at that memory that you slammed your hand on the mattress. You remembered that Richard slept on the side of your bed, watching over you since you fainted while reminiscing Rei's constant affection towards you almost everyday for the past months. You quietly apologized to the sleeping demon and pat his head, hoping that he won't eat you alive for disturbing his precious nap. Your train of thoughts and memories disappeared when Rei barged in into your room, making Richard wake up from his nap and disappeared without a trace. Rei glared down at you like a predator eyeing its prey while taking swift strides towards you. He immediately pinned you down and ripped off the clothing that hid your sensitive neck. You sharply gasped for air as he bit your neck and he dug his fangs deeper, deeper that it'll leave a mark. Rei held you tight as he hungrily drank your blood. You tried to utter his name but his fangs made your skin feel numb and frozen. His embrace loosen as he remove his fangs on you and he licked and sucked your neck, not leaving a single drop of your blood. You gasped for air and pushed him away from you. "What... are you doing...?" You kept panting and recollect yourself to breathe but he inched himself closer to you. "Rei...?! Wait—" Rei kept licking your neck. The taste of your blood still remained on your neck and he kept inhaling the scent wafting in the room. The smell is too strong for demons to resist. "You're the first human whose blood I tasted..." He uttered as he sucked the remaining blood on your neck. He shifted his position and kissed the other side of your neck held you tight. Shivers kept coming back every time his lips, teeth, and tongue touched your neck. You covered your mouth to surpress the unwanted noises coming out of your mouth. He was drunk with your blood that he wanted to mark you as his. Only Rei's. Only his. "So sweet... and wonderful... I'm starting to feel addicted to the taste... and the scent..." He licked your neck and you gripped on his dress shirt. "Rei... please... Wait...!" Rei heard your pleas and stopped. He licked off the blood from his lips and look at you with lust evident on his eyes. You let out a confused look yet you know what it is in the back of your mind. "Rei...? Why are you looking at me like that?" You asked but Rei didn't answer. He cupped your cheek and brushed his thumb over your lips. He licked his lips once again and kissed you. For the first time in your life, this is the first time he kissed you. 'Rei kissed me.' That thought repeated in your mind like a broken recorder. You felt dizzy and your mind became fuzzy and blank, like your mind is clouded like a mist. He gently kissed you and being careful that he won't hurt you like a hungry beast. But he wanted to feel your lips on his that he wanted more of you. He trailed himself down to your neck where his fresh bite mark is there and peppered it with kisses. "Rei... I—" He cut you off when he found a sensitive spot on your neck and playfully bit it. "Stop whining." His eyes glowed bright red as he faced you. 'He wanted more.' "May I remind you that you are mine, and mine alone." He leaned closer to the bite mark that was fresh. Blood slowly seeped out of your skin. "I marked you. You belong to me. Mine, and mine only." He licked the bite mark and you suppressed the unwanted noise you don't want to let out. He pressed the bite mark with his thumb. You moaned out of pleasure instead of pain. You gripped the sleeves of his dress shirt and panted for air. You immediately covered your mouth out of realization. Great, now you'll have a one heck of a night with this demon. Rei heard this and suddenly, your moan became a melody to his ears that he grinned. He continued to tease your now exposed, sensitive skin. Instead of hearing you complaining, you mewled in pleasure. His grin widen when he knew that you were feeling pleasure instead of pain. He was satisfied on his own work. You felt something weird on your stomach. You felt that there are butterflies fluttering inside you. 'Oh dear... this is going to give me nightmares....' Surprisingly for the demon who has a cold body, you felt his warm breath on you lips. He kissed you again, lovingly and passionately. He licked your tongue, he wanted more of you. You opened your mouth as he shove his tongue in. You can taste the faint taste of your blood lingering on his tongue. His grip on your wrists loosen that you reached for his neck. You began to play the ends of his hair and pulled him closer to you. Rei knew that your hands escaped from his grasp that he grabbed it and pinned both of it with one hand. 'This isn't going to end well for me, isn't it?' "You do know I should be the one who will dominate you tonight, am I correct?" Your mind went blank. "Let me remind you this one. I heard you saying this to yourself, "Don't you dare let him assert dominance to you while he caught you off guard." Those are the exact words you told yourself few months ago." You were stunned. Your blush became more darker than it should be. He chuckled darkly and grinned, "You are so adorable that I want to eat you up right here, right now." He took off his shirt and smirked devilishly, "How about we begin to take a step further." He leaned closer to your ear and seductively whispered, "I know you wanted this, deep. inside. you. My dear~♪" Oh, how much you wanted to crawl yourself in a hole and hide there where Rei couldn't find you. You gulped when he leaned closer. Before your lips could finally touch, you were the one who took the first move that made Rei's guard down. He indulged himself into the kiss and let out a satisfied hum. While you were making out with Rei inside your room, Richard slept in the common room, looking pissed when he knew his brother is going to "eat" you out alive. He wanted to kill Rei in his sleep for disturbing him in his peaceful nap. But he have to calm himself down because your feelings finally reciprocated with Rei's. 'Rest assured, Richard. It'll end soon...' He jolted from his position and began hissing like a cat when he heard a scream. 'Goddamn! I hate these ears! They're too sensitive to hear things few kilometers away from me!' Irritated, he angrily hissed that he almost let out a loud roar. "You two lovebirds should've done that on the day after the godforsaken ritual! I-I mean, wedding!" He realized what he had just done and scolded himself. 'You goddamn cat! Why did you even reincarnate yourself inside me! I hate acting like a cat you piece of—' "Be patient, my dear. It'll be over in a moment~♪" Richard's blush darkened. He grabbed his hair and pulled it. He hissed, "I hate my mind right now...!"

VI. Sea of Flames You almost lost track of time that you felt peaceful living in this place. You heard about the townspeople knew about your disappearance from the castle staff. You prayed that nothing wrong will happen here. Or so you thought. "(Name)!" Richard called out your name and frantically warned you. "We have to leave! It's happening again!" You went pale, pale as a ghost, paler than the brothers. Richard took your hand and hid in the dungeon. You look around to see if Rei is in there but he's nowhere to be seen. "Where's Rei?" "Rei created a barrier to protect the castle. He's out there." Richard looked up, knowing that his own brother will put himself to danger if he protected everything he loved; his home, his brother, and you, his bride. "I tried to tell him to leave this place with us but he couldn't listen. He have to sacrifice himself for the mistake he committed. He's too stubborn to listen that his brother and his bride is right here." He bared his fangs and faced you, "Do you want to know what he said when I tried to stop him?" You slowly shook your head and he answered his own question. "He told me to forget him and forget that he ever existed. He also told me to tell you to forget him forever. He's setting you and me free from this place." Your heart sank. Your knees weakened that you fell to the stone floor. Richard caught you on time before you could hurt yourself. Richard whispered, "I know. He's too stupid." His voice cracked, sounded like he was about to cry. "He's too stupid when he wanted to protect anything he loved...!" You rushed out of the dungeon. Richard followed you pursuit, trying to stop you. Before you could run at the large hallway, Richard shifted his form to a cat's, but larger than his usual size. He stopped in front of you, making you stop from running. "You can't leave this place and get killed by them!" He hissed. "Do you have a death wish?!" "Yes." You answered and scurried past him. Richard went silent. He sighed and followed her, "These two became so dumb and foolish when it comes to love. These lovebirds..."

You slammed the doors open to the balcony on the main entrance of the castle. He wasn't there but a crowd of angry townspeople entered the castle's gate with pitchforks, torches and a log carried by the men. You rush back in and searched for him. You went everywhere except one, the throne room. You rushed to the said place and barged in. You found him, sitting quietly on his throne. "Rei...!" You called out his name and ran towards him. You caught his attention and you jumped towards him. He caught you on time and you hugged him. He hugged you tight in return. "Rei, please. We have to leave this place and go somewhere safe!" You tried to convince him to leave but he shook his head. "I have to stay. If only I should've listened to my parents, all of this wouldn't have happened." "Don't blame yourself, Rei." You reassured him and cupped his cheek. "None of this is your fault. If they're here, they'll be mad at you for blaming yourself." He gently cupped your hand in response. His face that showed such sadness made your heart sank. You heard footsteps entering the throne room and it was Richard. "(Name), you're too stupid. I even thought of you as a "big sister" yet you acted like a younger sibling who wanted to see their older sibling after a long time." He huffed and puffed for air and rolled his eyes. "You ran fast. How could you...? Ah, yes. All in the name of love." He saw his brother holding you gently in his arms and looked at him in anger. He ran towards them and punched him on Rei's shoulder. "Big Brother! You're too stupid to think straight! Let's get out of here before they—" "—before we burn you alive." The town leader said as his voice echoed across the room. "You demons belong in hell! You never belong in this world! You also tainted our fellow kind!" Richard stepped forward and used himself as a shield to protect you both. He summoned a sword and let it out of his hand. "So the younger brother will carry the burden of his older brother like some knight? Well then, we'll burn you alive, first." The town leader signaled the archers to shoot their arrows towards Richard. With the flick of his hand, they let go of the arrows and it went straight towards Richard. Richard swung his sword the moment the arrows inched closer at the speed of light. Unfortunately, he was his by one of them and so did Rei. Before the arrows hit you, he used himself as a shield to protect you. The other arrows that has flames on its head pierced the carpet and the fire began to spread. The carpet was flammable that the fire spread faster like wildfire in the forest. Richard disappeared from the spot and appeared beside you two. "It was just a small fire," Richard smirked while he's in pain. "You were afraid to burn us alive that we'll do the same, isn't that right?" "It was just the beginning." A thread snapped in the back of your mind that you released yourself from Rei's hold and looked out at the window. Fire spread around the castle and it burned the nature around it. Before you could stop them, the town leader said something before he close the doors. "Sadly, we couldn't save you, young lady. Your existence could give fear to humankind." After that, they threw their torches to the floor and closed the doors and jammed it from outside. You rushed to the doors and banged your fist but it won't budge. You turn around to see if Richard is alright but he felt weak. An arrow pierced through his heart and he felt like he's burning. You sprinted towards him and you weren't surprised that the church would side with the angry mob earlier. "There's... blessed holy water on the arrows..." He lost his grip on his sword and it clanged into the marble floor and he fell to the ground. You caught him on time and let him lie down on your lap. "I'm too weak to use my magic. Brother got hit on his shoulder. Pretty sure he felt like he burned himself—" As if on cue, Rei knelt to the cold floor. "If only you two listened..." "Says... the one who didn't..." Richard cough and felt like fading— no, he began to fade slowly into air. Rei saw this and immediately held his brother into his arms. You leaned on Rei and held Richard's hand tightly. "Don't act so stupid... you're also fading..." Richard eyed Rei's shoulder. The fire began to spread that it spread from the smoke. The brothers felt weak to move due to the blessed arrow that pierced them. Richard smiled and whispered, "Before I completely disappear, can I say something...?" Rei nodded. "Even after we die, I want you as my brother in our next life... Even after we fight, or never get along well, you're still my brother.... If there are days that I acted that I hated you and there is a deep reason why, it'll take me time to forgive you, just like how you left the castle every time you had the chance and ruined... our promise..." Richard coughed that Rei held him tight. Rei shed a tear and Richard chuckled lightly, "I know... you don't like to cry... but remember... I'm always stuck with you, Reinhart..." With his last words, Richard closed his eyes and turned into ash. "I'll wait for you, dear brother." Reinhart held his brother's ashes that remained on his hands and clenched his fists. He held it close to his chest until he fell to the ground. You caught him on time and embraced him gently. "You're too weak to withstand the smoke. You'll kill yourself." He coughed. "I already am. I'm too weak to move to crash myself into windows..." You lightly laughed. Rei, accepting his fate, embraced you tightly. "So, this is how our wedding is supposed to end?" "You wanted to marry me on this day...?" You asked him and he nodded. "I want to say my last vows before I die..." "Go ahead..." You gently patted his head. "(Y/N), ever since I... first saw you, I fell in love... I wanted to hold you close to me, love you like how I wanted to cherish you, and be there by my side until my last breath. Even though you're a human and I'm a demon, it was impossible. But it came true, unexpectedly." You chuckled at the last one. It was true but it came true in a most unexpected way. "Even after either of us dies, I will find you or wait for you until we will cross paths once again. I will love you with all my heart and soul until we meet again in our next life. My heart only belongs to you and will only long for yours..." Rei coughed and slowly faded. He gazed to the ashes on his hand and smiled, "If the three of us met again in our next life with the others here in the castle, I want us to create wonderful memories together. More memorable and beautiful than it was right now... I, too, cherish these precious memories but I want to create more with my loved ones in my next life with you and Ricchi..." You held him tight, not wanting him to go. Your tears fell from your eyes and Rei wiped it weakly. "Farewell, my beloved..." Rei smiled to you before he kissed you goodbye. He made a promise before he turned to ash just like his brother. "May we meet again... soon..." He was gone in your embrace. You embraced yourself tightly with his ashes remained on you. You began to weep. You began to blame yourself for leaving home back then but he will always remind you not to blame yourself because he chose you. He will also remind you that he loved you so much that he couldn't lose you if he made a grave mistake. He cared for you when no one did. He was always there by your side when no one did. After he died, the fire spread and it began to eat you alive. Your screams echoed across the room but it fell onto deaf's ears. You begged and plead for help but no one arrived. You haven't told Rei your vows before he died. You accepted your fate and closed your eyes while you held their ashes on your hands.

VII. Reunion You never thought that on your second day at Yumenosaki Academy is that you'll be kidnapped by ginger-haired twins that are a year younger than you and carried you on the way to some room in the building. You began to felt some sort of deja vú. 'Is this normal in Yumenosaki Academy..?' You asked yourself when kidnappings are a thing in this school. Trickstar wasn't lying when it's a norm in this school. The twins stopped and gently set you down on the floor. The room is dark but you saw a coffin lying in the middle of the room. One of the twins knocked on the coffin to wake someone up in there. They began to play a tune with a small flute and waited. The coffin's lid moved and opened. It revealed a man who was in his third year (because of his tie) and woke up from his slumber. The moment your eyes laid on his features, your heart skipped a beat. You were too focused to know what was going on and why were you kidnapped by these twins and brought you here where your vampire-like upperclassman is in. Trickstar mentioned that he is Rei Sakuma, one of the Three Eccentrics, a former temporary unit in Yumenosaki. "So, this is the young lady who is a producer here?" He eyed you from head to toe. He took your hand and kissed the back of it. "I want to apologize for what the little puppy here had done, young lady." He turned to where a young male in your year was tied up by ropes. "Don't mind about it. It's a punishment he received for making such a ruckus at DDD yesterday~" One of the twins said as he stood beside him. Not in your entire life to come across someone who is an eccentric in actions and appearance. You began to understand that Yumenosaki is full of mysterious yet surprising things. Days passed and you always have an encounter with him whenever you spent time with Trickstar. He was there to support the underachievers as an atonement to his sins. You were also there, giving your utmost support to them ever since you arrived in Yumenosaki. Other than that, you made an encounter with Knights, one of the oldest units in Yumenosaki. It was Halloween when you were found alone in the band room. The twins found you and they were there to wake Rei up. You wondered why they have a small flute on hand. Yuta mentioned that it's for Rei. He wakes up when either one of them or both of them play it. Unaware that he's fully awake, a hand was placed on your shoulder. "Is it time for breakfast?" You shivered in fear when the vampire himself laid a hand on you. Rei brushed the hair covering your neck and inched closer. "She looks pretty tasty." Before he could bite you, the twins managed to stop him before doing so, reminding you that you're not a snack. When he realized that you aren't, you sighed in relief. He apologized to you and carried you to the concert site as an apology. You thought he's joking but he's dead serious. He actually carried you to the concert site as an apology and mark of gratitude for making his brother, Ritsu, rest peacefully before the event. He even teased you on locking you up in a treasure room. You thought of punching him in the face or throw beans or garlic at him. Unfortunately, he likes garlic, ironic for the vampire, so punching him is an option. After the next few performances, you saw Rei and Ritsu on stage, having a moment to be alone. It was hard for Rei to be with Ritsu for what he had done. "I have no right to call you my family after leaving you behind." Rei sadly told Ritsu and he continued, "However, even if I can't be a part of your family, at least let me be a fellow idol of Yumenosaki Academy— Even if just for a fleeting moment on this shining stage." Rei walked closer to Ritsu and continued. "You can hate me, despise me, but please take care of yourself. You are dear to many other than myself." He let out a small smile. "And when you feel like you can't go on, come to me and I'll take care of you." Ritsu smiled back, "I know... that you're the kind of person I can go to." Ritsu turned around and walked away and continued, "Well... I'm in a good mood today, so I'll say it." He let out a gentle, heart-touching smile and apologized. "Sorry for making you worry. Thanks, Big Bro." After witnessing such heartwarming moment on the day of halloween, you heart beated in pain that a memory came into your mind. Flames flooding in the room. A young male vanished into air, turned into ashes as he made a promise to the one who held him on his arms. The one who confess his vows to you, disappeared right before you. Your vision became hazy and you fell into a heavy, deep slumber. Your vision became blurry and black. You fainted, alarming the other aspiring idols at backstage. You opened your eyes and the first thing you saw is the night sky outside the window. You patiently lie down and breathed for a moment. You carefully moved your right hand and lifted it. You were completely awake with your soul intact to your body. You set it down and felt something soft on your hand. You immediately rise up from your lying position and saw Ritsu sleeping peacefully beside you on the bedside. You gently patted his head and began to feel his soft, black hair. You were having your own fleeting leisure until the older Sakuma entered the infirmary. You immediately removed your hand on Ritsu's hair and look away the moment Rei sat on the chair. There was a moment of silence but Rei broke the ice. "Trickstar informed about what happened to you earlier. Are you alright now, young lady?" Rei asked as he looked at you sadly. You quietly nod. He took the pitcher full of water from the bedside cabinet and poured water to the glass and offered it to you. "Drink this. You need it." "Thank you, Senior Sakuma," You shyly accepted the glass full of water and drank it. He gently patted your head and your gaze caught sight of the worried look on his face. He saw you looking at him and he smiled. "I'm glad you're finally well, my dear."
