Writing here because the type limit for comment in that one anon is FEOLSEKFMSEF.
NAUR, NOT THE FINAL LESSON NUH UH. If Arlecchino canonically doesn't die next patch, Brighella shouldn't tooā¦ BET. I do love the idea of a match between Cap and Brig! (wait, tf do we name her if she ain't "brighella" the fatui harbinger like it is the name she only knows) I mean, I did think about about her dying tooā¦ so tempting. I kinda ride that Acheron idea, some intense danceeee eheā¦ Her ult kinda has the Arle schemed and vice versa.
Angst materialā¦ hmmm, I did have an idea but it was only IF Arlecchino was centuries old but due to her taking over recently by canon that is scrapped because it is too inaccurate by the possibility lol. (It involved lowkey dying, and giving her heart to Arle then did get resurrected by the abyss order for them to use but she went rebellious and just lingers around Teyvat and the Abyss). A dance between the two, YES. I've always thought of Arlecchino being incapable of being romantic with Brighella beyond obsession. But, with all those fanfics I am consumed by sweet Arle with acts of service... Hahaha! We shall wait for the next patch on her potential emotional stance ykyk... Maybe she does care, despite having the reputation of discarding anything that does not benefit her. For me, Arlecchino is more of "You belong to me" kind of person not "You belong with me" Hold up gotta reread the lore stuff, after doing an assignment
Hehe Final Lesson inspiration I knew it was evil ALRIGHT it's on if Arle doesn't die I won't kill Brig either but if she does not only will I cry but I'll make it worse
I still call her Brighella, but she was also briefly called Matilda in my notes after the folksong Waltzing Matilda (what is she but a jolly swagman camped by a billabong (ļæ£ā½ļæ£) wait I just realised she lives in Wangshuu Inn next to a body of waterāshe IS a jolly swagman camped by a billabong (Ā°ćĀ°) !)
I also struggled so bad with the fact Arle is young because like, the timeline was screwing me over in my original plans (ļ¼ļ棊ļæ£) I was like WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE OLD (to my friend if you're reading this GO AWAY it's NOT because of the accusations I like old people) it would've made my life easier, but alas miHoYo can never do such things. I would have loved that idea because it's so edibleā SACRIFICING herself for Arle??? Then Arle having to grapple with potentially being responsible for Brig becoming an unwilling pawn of the abyss??? delicious (*/ā½ļ¼¼*)
I LOVE the dance between Acheron and Black Swan sm something about those vibes just fits them so well
Yk I agree with that philosophy that Arle is a "you belong to me" not a "you belong with me" kinda person. I also like the idea Arle is lowkey obsessed with her (and though it's subtle in OoR it's sprinkled in there ( Ā“ ź³ ` ) ) I wish that it didn't get so long it lagged every word program I put it through because I think when I rewrite it, I'll lean into that more and draw out the time it takes for them to come to an agreement ( ā”āæā” *) Possibly a mix of the two where her 'love' for Brighella is born of obsession, their relationship is probably in some manner unhealthy, but she may be able to learn to love her normally as well (I doubt either of these people are capable of a healthy or normal relationship LMAO)
Random fun fact to throw into this one: the differences in thinking about their relationship are also what prompted me to have her completely unable to understand why Brighella gave up so easily and generally have there be a disconnect between what Brig wants and what Arle wants for her (ć*Ā°ā½Ā°*) because those are two very different things
Second song idea for the two of them I had five seconds ago: Fire and the Flood by Vance Joy ā”( ā”āæā” )

what do you think of cursedindustrialconfessions on instagram? and other fandom style confession accounts?
personally i don't find much issue with the accounts themselves but some of the comments and confessions are truly cursed š
Been sitting on this ask since I woke up trying to figure out why it doesnāt sit right but yk, hereā I donāt have any interest in name dropping specific accounts or pages and talking shit on them (OR conversely praising accounts who I think are the "right" kind of fan). I obviously vagued a few specific instances Iāve seen of behavior I found inappropriate from online āindustrial fansā in the original post I made but even then kept usernames out of it and even then I was trying to emphasize that all of these are examples of a larger problem, not that One Particular Guy is the harbinger of inappropriate industrial fan behavior lol. I already shared the bulk of my thoughts about āfandomizingā real life musicians and real life music subcultures/communities and my distaste for it, but ultimately every single topic (especially things that are ultimately not life threatening and Iād even go as far as to call a First World Problem) is going to have plenty of nuance and grey area and I think itās counterproductive and even hypocritical personally for me to start making lists of the Good and Bad industrial fans/pages. That just as much goes against my view of the industrial scene as a community as the stuff I was bitching about to begin with.
Iām honestly a little nervous about the post I made getting a decent amount of notes to begin with because itās not like I was trying to write the absolute manifesto on Correct or Moral fan behavior, though I think sometimes my posts are mistaken for such because I write a lot and very passionately (sorry), I was just complaining about trends Iāve seen in online industrial music spaces that feel disrespectful or rub me the wrong way, and ultimately was just trying to strongly emphasize that this subculture is an incredibly important real life community for me full of people I absolutely adore and I donāt like seeing the music or the people who make it fandomized or treated like weird quirky characters, with their experiences and traumas not taken seriously. Obviously there is a grey area to any of it, and ultimately I think stuff like memes or jokes about these guys, fan creations ranging from DIYād clothing to fan art to fan edits to cosplay to whatever else, and even expressing sexual attraction towards them is generally harmless and normal when itās done respectfully and thoughtfully, keeping in mind these are real people with real traumas, who are not that famous, who can and do look themselves up online and see whatās going on, or have friends who do and then send it to them. Like, I was planning to make that post BEFORE Ogre spoke up about how he was reading comments online about people complaining about the show not being as bloody as prior ones and how it upset him because the older shows were an expression of authentic pain and suffering and even literal self harm and this new show was an intentional movement towards something new and the fact that heās in a better place in life nowā¦ He said that because he saw firsthand what people were saying about him online!
So idk man. But ultimately if you really really want my thoughts? I think any time something is described as āfandom styleā in the context of real people or an active real life music subculture all of my hair bristles like a scared animal and my fight or flight response kicks in lol. And I ultimately think that yāall are gonna have to decide for yourselves what youāre okay with rather than ask me, because Lord knows I am not the keeper of all that is objectively right and true. I think some of MY opinions for what is or isnāt okay might actually be more extreme than others (like I said in my previous postāIām much more neutral on RPF than many Iāve seen, which I think is a controversial take? I just think like anything else there is lots of nuance in that conversation. Idk.), I just encourage anyone calling themselves an industrial fan or viewing it as a fandom to try dipping their toes into an IRL alt music scene and start talking more to old timers and going to shows and clubs and making friends and connections that way with other people who are devoting parts of their life to actively engaging with the community surrounding this music face to face because I think it can very quickly change your perspective for the better and kinda demystify some of the more fandom-y mindsets that these guys are larger than life caricatures to be memed on the same way you would talk about like, Herbert West or Will Graham or whatever.

SO VERY THRILLED YOU BROUGHT UP CREPUS BEC I HAVE THOUGHTS ABOUT HIM
(Also minor correction he didn't Give Diluc his delusion, Diluc took it off his corpse bc he didn't know what it was and then spiraled down his like three year long revenge path trying to figure out it's origins)
The way I've structured it in my mind, Diluc's mother died in some like. Accident or something that scared Crepus because, yk, his aspirations had always been to get into the Knights and protect people but because he never got a Vision and was apparently not trained enough to pass the exam he was never able to? So he turned to the Fatui out of anxiety centered around keeping Diluc safe, took Kaeya in so Diluc would have a friend and company to watch his back, and then sort of pushed both Kaeya and Diluc into the Knights so he would be certain they would be able to defend themselves (while he made deals with the Fatui to try and keep them safe in the background) (Which obviously backfired)
The way Crepus died specifically was the Fatui using Ursa the Drake as a baited weapon (which I have separate theories about that I won't get into) to go after Crepus... which is interesting because it means that 1) It was pre-meditated 2) Crepus had to have done something for the Fatui to suddenly want him dead
SO. My theory is that because Diluc and Kaeya were older now, (Diluc yk, turning 18 the night that Crepus resigned himself to giving up his Delusion (as seen in the comic)), he decided that he didn't need the Fatui to give him a sense of security for the ragbros. They can properly defend themselves in ways he can't, and they don't need him watching their backs anymore.
The Fatui, obviously, didn't like that. Maybe Crepus knew too much, maybe they just didn't actually like him, but one way or another they killed him,,,
Which on a side note, makes me wonder if Kaeya knew something about Crepus' dealings with the Fatui. If he could sense the power the Delusion held, or if he, wanting to be aware of as much going on around him at all times, caught onto some things that Diluc missed (Fatui stamps on mail, Schneznayan diplomats saying things like "The Harbinger(s?) send their regards", listening in on snippets of meetings through Crepus' office door, etc). Because I think Kaeya wouldn't try to get in Crepus' way with the Fatui, I think he'd understand having secret dealings with alternate organizations, because that's basically what HE does, so he lets it be.
Which also makes me wonder if the reason we don't hear Kaeya's praise of Crepus is because he considers Crepus to be similar if not the same as him,,,
In the manga, I think, he says he was planning to give Diluc his delusion (or a different one but still a delusion) but didn't because he got a vision and didn't need it anymore. That's what I was referring to, obviously it didn't happen but he did consider it and stuff.
And yeah, I don't know, I feel like shit's more shady than we see in game currently, imo. Like, I don't know, I just have a feeling.
Mostly because of Diluc's overwhelming rage when Kaeya confessed whatever he did. Because his rage feels a little bit out of proportion, to be honest.
Like, what does he know about the socio-political shit in Khaenri'ah. He'd definitely still be upset but not physically maiming irreparably him kind of upset. But he would've been if Kaeya told him something more fundamental to Diluc's life, like something about the state of the world itself or a question of Crepus' innocence.
But yeah, they're definitely parallels of each other, Crepus and Kaeya. Both of them hiding secrets from family and being related to shady networks.
#sorry if this ain't very coherent#I'm at a party and deeply overwhelmed as we speak so yeah#textpost
