loves going over to your yiayias house just to eat her food

always helps with greek easter, dying the eggs red, making tsoureki and the food

spoils you with gifts

dad was a little hesitant at first but they grew close

your mum LOVES HIM, she always says "αγόρι μου" (my boy) "μωρό μου" (my baby) "Αγάπη μου" (my love) and taps his cheek with her hand

yiayia squeezes his cheeks and says in her cute greek accent "very handsome boy"

learns greek to gossip with your family

yiayia is always buying him the clothes he wants, spoils him for easter, christmas and his birthday

I just love love how intricate and detailed your artwork is 😭❤️ I’m curious, do you tend to have these specific details in mind before you begin a piece, or do you start big and work in detail as you zoom in, or something else…?

Thank you!!! I work in a fluid state for a lack of a better term. I feel a composition in my brain because I have no visual imagination.. and I fill in the void. I don't know what I will fill it with immediately, I put in symbols for things and memories and feelings and thoughts of the time. That's why it's a diary for me!

Nearly all the small details of my drawings are references to family, sentimental people / places, and memories I'm thinking of at the time. Have fun with small details even if they don't always make sense to others 💖It's also just a way of detailing without "thinking" for me. Purposely planning compositions is hard. Good luck and keep pursuing making art you love! <3

I am now fully convinced that no one in the group can cook with the skill required to feed the whole tadpole gang regularly. And the first few nights at camp were literal torture for Gale because everyone is doing a little Girl Dinner about it. He's going through a whole Dickensian character arc in those nights where he's being haunted by the ghosts of Dekarios Yiayias past who are saying things like "Lae'zel is too skinny! You should cook your Auntie Diana's lamb for her; the one braised in the tomato and cinnamon sauce, not Cousin Nic's with the mint sauce (it's too dry and tough)".
