7) Shadow the Hedgehog / Tikal the Echidna - Sonic the Hedgehog

They never met in canon, so no shot of them sharing a scene together lol

Very nostalgic ship for me. This was practically my entrypoint into the world of shipping as a whole TBH. My first contact with it came through the 2006's era of AMVs, and ship tribute videos. I may no longer be into STH, but I still hold this ship very dearly to me.

6) Solid Snake / Samus Aran - Smash Bros.

It's another trip through memory lane. Similarly to Shadikal, I also got introduced to Snakus via those old AMVs. Although, I was a bit older by the time I learned about this ship, than I was with the latter. By the time I had taken my very first step into Deviantart, and I remember spending HOURS scouring the website, for anything and everything related to them. Good times lol

5) Alucard / Richter Belmont - Castlevania

If those ships were my entrypoints into shipping in general. This one was my entrypoint into yaoi/mlm/BL ships. This ship isn't ranked higher because, I have a funky story with it. From my enjoyment of it being quite flaky, from going on and off constantly. At the time I learned about it, it coincided with the peak of the whole Seme/Uke tropes, which practically killed the characters to me. It was bc of that type of character portrayal, that drove me off from reading fanfics altogether.

4) Dawn/Barry - Pokemon

Whenever I say that Shadikal was my introduction into the world of shipping, what I really mean is that... I'm unsure who really takes the cake on that. As seeing how back then I was into both Pokemon AND STH, so I came across ship videos to both Shadikal and Twinleafship at around the same exact time. Anyway, gen 4 as a whole is very nostalgic to me, so ofc these two are also very special to me.

3) Priest Mahad/Priest Seto - Yugioh

It's way too funny how much I fell in love with this ship, at the very end of my interest in YGO. I just think they have a good chemistry....... I promise it is there, somewhere. I'm dead sure, I clinged onto YGO for only a little longer, because of those two. And here we have a proof of my love for small and mostly unknown ships, in most fandoms I land myself in.

2) Plo Koon/Commander Wolffe - Star Wars

Sorry Fandom, I didn't catch the memos on the babyfication of Wolffe and the rest of the 104th clone legion, neither was I interested in seeing people's daddy issues that they are projecting onto Plo Koon. I was really disappointed to see how little romantic content there was of these two, bc ppl decided to do that with them, for some reason lol. I'm in the trenches with these two. Also, these two were the reason I got back into reading fanfics LMAO.

1) Taurus Aldebaran/Aries Mu - Saint Seiya

🎉These two are currently holding my braincells hostage🎉

Head empty there is now only Aldemu. I'm going to indulge myself in over 20 years of fan-made content, about these two, see you all around. I think what really hit the nail in my brain about these two was learning how, even one of the former directors for some of the episodes within the Hades arc, also enjoys these two and has posted some of his drawings of them. To me, that's almost as good as making them canon (and let me clear, regardless of whether or not they're canon, it wouldn't affect my enjoyment of these two).

I'm just happy the Brazilian guy is tied to a popular ship, and is gaining love via it.

Three Jealous Moments (And a Euphoric One)

Mahaad goes so far as to suggest that if Atem were to take up his old favorite pastime of planning elaborate pranks on the palace staff, he would consider not scolding him for it. That, at least, earns him some sort of acknowledgement. A pause. A half smile. A flash of deep connection with an old friend. A teetering on the edge of something that Mahaad tells himself isn’t possible, and he wishes he didn’t feel a deep disappointment that this place—that he—somehow isn’t enough.”

This is it!! This is my baby that’s appearing in Dead Dove: A Problematic Yu-Gi-Oh Zine! A very spicy little bit of Atem/Yugi/Mahaad. (Lol and by ‘little bit’ I actually mean a decent sized fic this time, not one of my tiny drabbles.) But the zine has good principles and proceeds go to supporting a good cause. And today is the last day to order so go grab one! (if you want. don’t let me tell you what to do XD)

List your top 5 OTPs from 5 different fandoms and tag 5 others. Was tagged by @aylienboi   Believe it or not, I was never big on ships until I joined Tumblr. But I'll do my best! 

 Dr. Grant/Dr. Sattler(Jurassic Park) I AM STILL MAD OVER THIS. I have been a fan of Jurassic Park since the very first movie. Love dinosaurs, okay? We know Allen didn't like kids at the beginning of the movie, but by the end it seemed he changed his mind? And then Jurassic Park 3 happened and I was super disappointed they didn't hook up! We don't talk about JP3. We are very disappoint. 

 Bulma/Vegeta(DBZ) No one can deny they are the best couple, they play off each other so well! Don't get me wrong, Goku and Chichi can be cute but...I have opinions about Chichi...But Bulma and Vegeta just work so well for me. She puts up with him lol Say what you want about Vegeta, but he's a good dad, okay? 

 Reigisa/ Rei Nagisa(Free! Iwatobi Swim Club) This ship is just really cute and playful to me. I haven't watched Free! in a while, maybe it's time for a rewatch, but they are still my fav. Why do I like glasses characters so much? Remember when we first met Rei and thought he was cool? Remember when we learned he's actually the biggest nerd of all of them? I do still remember that lol 

Puzzleshipping(Yugioh) There is so much discourse in this ship and I'd rather not get into it. This is another one I never thought I'd like. I have yet to see the subbed version, so all I've got to work with is the 4Kids dub. But apparently the sub is so much better lol I don't draw for this fandom anymore, I don't expect to anytime soon. I have personal reasons for taking a prolonged leave of absence from this fandom. You can never actually leave the YGO fandom, just take breaks lol 

 Iwaoi(Haikyuu!!) First of all, IT IS SUPER DUPER HARD TO CHOOSE. Because honestly I like so many of the ships. And I didn't expect to fall for this one, but here we are. I love their dynamic~ I'd list my other ships but maybe some other time!

Favorite character: Yuugi, he’s such a precious young man.

Least Favorite character: Least favorite in terms of horrible person? Gozaburo, he’s just awful. Least favorite in terms of not compelling? Yami Bakura, he was such an underwhelming villain, didn’t really undergo development at all, can have most of his involvement removed without affecting things much, and is just generally boring.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Encourageshipping (and associated ships), Polarshipping, Blueshipping/Mizushipping, Crystalshipping/Stageshipping, Heartshipping

Character I find most attractive: Does it count if I say older Yuugi?

Character I would marry: Yuugi, of course!

Character I would be best friends with: Again, Yuugi - but of course the rest of the smiley face circle of friends would be great as well

a random thought: I hope the DSOD sub comes out soon.

An unpopular opinion: Aside from my opinion on Yami Bakura? Well, I’ve got an unpopular opinion regarding DSOD, but I don’t know if you’ve seen it so to avoid spoilers, I’ll skip that one, too (I’ll just say I didn’t like the resolution). I guess a somewhat unpopular opinion I have is that the manga isn’t strictly better than the anime - I think there’s a number of things that the manga did better, but also a number of things that the anime did better. Some people hold up the manga as so much better, but I don’t agree with that.

my canon OTP: Please define “canon”. Encourageshipping is canon in some directions (i.e., Anzu’s attraction to Atem is canon, Yuugi’s attraction to Anzu is canon, Word of God confirms Anzu would end up liking Yuugi), but not all...I don’t know that it counts if it’s one-sided. I’d argue Polar is canon in the anime. Mizu’s almost definitely canon, but some people would argue that. I can safely say I like Roseshipping though - no one can argue that that isn’t canon.

Non-canon OTP: If Encourage doesn’t count for canon, then Encourageshipping. At the very least, my way of encourageshipping (all three, peach, revo, and puzzle, all reciprocated) is non-canon. But it is a very pure and supportive ship. It should be canon, dammit.

most badass character: Jounouchi

pairing I am not a fan of: ...I’m sorry, but Prideshipping. I can see the appeal of it, and after watching DSOD, I can believe that Kaiba has romantic feelings for Atem. But I just can’t see Atem reciprocating them, nor do I think that a relationship could work out between them. Though they respect each other, there’d be too much conflict. I think Kaiba needs someone who can be more patient with him, still be able to put their foot down when he goes too far, but they do need to be a lot more patient than Atem is. It’s far from my least favorite pairing(that’s the more popular Kaiba pairing and I’m not getting into that right now), and in fact I can get behind it as a strictly one-sided relationship with unrequited feelings on Kaiba’s end, but this said “not a fan of” and not “hate”, so...

character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): In the anime, Jounouchi did get turned into a joke far too often. He wasn’t completely ruined, but that’s definitely something I think went wrong. But if we’re talking both manga and anime...honestly, I wish something more had been made of Shaadi - he had a lot of potential to be interesting.

favourite friendship: Yuugi and Jounouchi are the most canon brotp. I also just love the whole smiley face circle of friends friendship.

character I want to adopt or be adopted by: Can’t really think of any of them.

Least Favorite character: Amon, but of course no one likes him.

5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): I’m not as familiar with the GX fandom, so I don’t know too many ship names, but I like proshipping(Edo/Ryo), Shou/BMG, Misawa/Tania, Soulshipping(Judai/Yubel), Fianceshipping(Judai/Asuka)

Character I find most attractive: Fubuki, to no surprise.

Character I would marry: You know, as much as I like Fubuki, I don’t think he’d be husband material...I think I’d go with O’Brien for this one.

Character I would be best friends with: Asuka

a random thought: I should probably rewatch GX...it’s been a while

An unpopular opinion: Again, not really familiar with the fandom, so I have no idea what a popular or unpopular opinion would be...

my canon OTP: Shou/BMG is definitely canon. Even if it’s silly.

Non-canon OTP: Proshipping.

most badass character: Ryo, I mean he really screwed himself up with the electroshock duels but you have to admit it’s pretty badass.

character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Honestly? I can’t think of any. It’s been a while, so I could be missing something obvious, but I remember GX doing a really good job with its characters.

a random thought: I’m looking forward to the finale. Even if this last season has been pretty disappointing, I’m still hopeful for a good finish.

An unpopular opinion: Synchro Arc was pretty good, I liked it.

my canon OTP: Honestly, I don’t think anyone can argue that Appleshipping isn’t canon, so we’ll go with that.

Non-canon OTP: Lustershipping (I wish this was canon, but unfortunately Masumi stopped being relevant after 30 episodes)

most badass character: Gongenzaka

pairing I am not a fan of: Yuzu with anyone except Masumi or Yuuya. I’m normally quite a multishipper but with Yuzu, despite the ship bait interactions she gets with a whole lot of characters, I don’t like any ship with her except Luster and Fruit. They’re just off-putting to me. I especially am not fond of Bracelet and Serenade.

character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): We’d be here all night if I were to list them all. But right now, I’m really frustrated with what they’ve done to Himika. She was much more interesting as the cold, generally horrible person.

favourite friendship: Yuuya and Gongenzaka

character I want to adopt or be adopted by: I will adopt Reira and Reiji, please. They deserve better.
