ZACH: Oh, this is one of my favorites, though. It's like another literal, um, like, "You wanna give me a ride?" or something, and then they're like, riding each other in the back room. SCOTT: Do you see where they're hooking up is the lunch meat cooler? I'm like "God! What the heck!"

I'll admit I don't like RayMew. Least favorite ship.
But.
But.
At least they're both really pretty and I don't *not* see chemistry.
Also well, I wanted mess. This is mess. Oof, is it ever.
And honestly? This is actually the first time since this show started that I have been gagging for the next ep.
Guess it's Ray's turn to get everything he wants.

All of yall who are sexualizing these boys (and YES that includes the show) are evil as hell. You are sexualizing actors who are portraying two REAL RAPE VICTIM'S STORY. You are calling the actors sexy while they are playing a role that revolves around them being brutally sodomized. They bled and you think it's okay to sexualize them? One was hospitalized for damage to his throat from constant rape and you think it's okay to horny post about them? Never talk about them again. I hope to GOD you never get assaulted and some creep makes an incesty horny show about your story. As Tyra Banks once said, "LEARN FROM THIS"

Hi, I read your first piece with Leah and really enjoyed it. I then saw you were asking for requests so figured I might as well give an idea I’ve had in my head. Basically its around Leah and a wealthy CEO/Buisnesswoman reader. Their relationship being loving but others seeing things in different ways. Where people/teammates end up assuming Y/n is a gold digger. Falsely accusing her of being such. I’d be curious to know what you think if this and see how it might play out if written.
Gold Digger
Tumblr media
Fluff, angst, suggestive
Word count: 1489
-
Leah’s pov:
“Mate, please I really don’t want to go, I mean what do they even need me for? Im a footballer not a stock broker!” I whined to my manager Tyra.
“Leah trust me, you’ll love it, the CEO of the company is a huge advocate for women and girls in sports, it’s the centre of tonight’s event, she does a lot more work than just holdings, she’s trying to bring women’s sport into each company the corporation owns to increase growth” I continue to stare at her, still questioning why I have to be there. Tyra sighs, “and, leah, having successful women attending events to show those companies just what women are capable of can help a lot.” She pauses waiting for my response. “She asked specifically for you Leah” I raised my eyebrows, “she did?”, “of course she did you nut, you’re Leah Williamson, you’ve just won the biggest tournament in Europe, now get a grip and go get dressed.” Tyra walks out of the hotel room, and I sigh, maybe it won’t be too bad, I mean I do enjoy advocacy events, hopefully it’s not full of stuck up old rich men, Tyra did say the CEO was a woman.
-
The event hasn’t been too bad so far, I’ve been introduced to a few really interesting people who seem genuinely interested in what I do, “and this, is y/n y/ln, the CEO of y/ln holdings” Tyra taps me and gestures to a woman stood next to her. I grab on to Tyra’s arm to stable myself, i genuinely think my knees were about to give out. Tyra side eyes me questioningly.
“Leah! Hi, wow I’m so happy to meet you and so beyond grateful you were able to come tonight, you have no idea how much it means!” Y/n exclaims, offering her hand forward, I stand still, gobsmacked at the angelic woman stood infront of me, smiling brightly, praising me. Tyra shoves me “ow!” I turn to scowl her, she subtly gestures to y/n’s hand still waiting for mine to shake it. “Oh shit” I mumble and y/n laughs quietly, I quickly embrace her hand in mine and shake it. I look up at y/n and meet her eyes, my mouth opens slightly at the feeling of her hand in mine and her eyes staring through me, I feel something electric run through me, and by the look on her face I think she does too. “Well Leah why don’t we take advantage of your presence here and let’s have a drink, I’d love to hear your opinion on some of my ideas for women’s football.” She smiles gently. I nod and smile back “I’d love to” she pulls my hand that’s still clasped with hers and leads me to the bar.

Wow! What a night, thank you @y/ln.holdings ☺️
@y/ln.holdings: Thanks for coming Leah!
@user78930: ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS WOAH
@emilythompson76: Gorgeous!!
@bethmead_: 🔥🔥🔥
@keriawalsh: bloody lovely
@alexscott2: 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
@y/n_y/ln: Hope you enjoyed your night😉
“Really?” I turn to y/n who is slumped up in my bed, sheets covering her bare chest.
“What!? Did you enjoy your night?” She smirks and moves closer to me.
“Mmmh it was okay” I smirk back
“Just okay huh? Well we’ll have to do something about that, can’t you having just an ‘okay’ night”
“Oh yeah? What are we gonna have to do?” I question her, eyebrow raised
“Why don’t I show you” she whispers
-
Y/n’s pov: (2 months later)
“Ugh, for fucks sakes” I mumble, after getting my 175th email within the last 10 minutes. I run my hands through my hair and lean back in my chair, letting out a much needed breath when I hear a knock on the door. “Miss y/ln?” My assistant Emily peeks through the door, “yes Emily?” I say, slightly more aggressive than intended, “Leah is here to see you ma’am”, “oh Emily for gods sake how many times have I told you to just call me y/n?!” She looks down “sorry ma’am-I mean- uh”, “send her through please”, Emily nods and shuts the door.
-
“I know darling” Leah assures as she softly massages my shoulders while I ramble about work.
“And it’s just non stop, Richard will not stop hassling me about the stocks and Ryan! Oh god don’t get me started on Ryan, I swear to go all he doe-“
“I want you to meet my friends” Leah cuts me off. I pause and spin in my chair to face her, “what?” I question, making sure I heard her right. “I said I want you to meet my friends, my teammates. You’ve become so important to me y/n, and I love you so much, you’ve met my family and I’d love for you to meet my friends as well, I want you to be able to know people if you ever get the chance to come to one of my games or bring you as a date to a team night, you know how much Arsenal and the team means to me, I want the two most important things in my life to know each other” she says, whispering the last sentence.
I grin up at her brightly, “god how are you real?” I question her.
“I don’t know to be honest I’m pretty unreal aren’t I” she smiles cockily.
I slap her arm and stand up so we’re face to face, I grab the back of her neck “come here idiot”.
-
Leah’s pov:
“Baby calm down it’s okay” I reach for y/n’s thigh and rub gently to stop her shaking.
“No babe because what if they hate me, fuck”
“Darling girl listen to me, they’re not going to hate you, I love you, and they will too, so let’s go in there and let me show off my sexy, smart, bossy girlfriend” I smile at her.
“Okay.” She says and takes a deep breath.
I lean forward and capture her lips in a reassuring kiss, “I love you y/n”.
“I love you too my love, I just want the people that mean most to you to like me, I don’t want to lose you” she responds and I simply kiss her again, this time a little harder, fuelled with passion at her words.
-
“Leah all we’re saying is to be careful” Keira says, I look around at my friends, Alex, Beth, Katie, Lia, and Keira all staring at me, huddled in a corner, trying to convince me to be careful with y/n.
“You guys don’t know anything about it why can’t you just be happy for me?”
“We are happy for you mate we just want to make sure you’re being cautious” Alex responds.
“Leah things are different for us now, we just won the Euro’s, you don’t know what people’s intentions are with you”
“Oh for fucks same would you lot give it a rest, I’m telling you right now y/n is not a gold digger! That wouldn’t even make any sense” I storm off to find my girl, “what?” I hear them question behind me.
-
“Come on darling, we’re going” I slide me hand around y/n’s waist.
“Why baby? Is everything okay?” She looks at me concerned.
“No, my friends are being stuck up assholes, I just want to leave”
“Okay baby we can leave” I pull her by the waist to lead us out of the pub.
“Leah wait!” I hear Lia call out after me, the rest of the girls following her, “we’re sorry we just want to look out for you”
“No you lot are being entitled twats, you don’t even know what y/n does for a living” y/n turns to me confused.
“What are you all talking about?” She asks.
“Well darling, my dear friends here are accusing you of being a gold digger” y/n laughs to herself in amazement but quickly stops when she realises I’m being serious.
“Oh you’re serious?” She questions and turns to my friends.
They all look down.
“Y/n is the CEO of a company dickheads, she doesn’t like to boast but she was in Forbes’ millionaire list, her family has run a business for decades which she’s now taken over, so if anyone should be accused of gold digging here it’d make most sense that it was me.” I say to the girls, whose faces have all suddenly turned apologetic.
“We’re sorry Leah” they all say amongst each other.
“No, it’s y/n you should be apologising to”
“You’re right” Beth says, “we are so sorry y/n, we didn’t even make an effort to get to know you, fuck honestly we are so sorry, can we please start fresh?” They all nod in agreement.
“It’s okay girls honestly you were just looking out for her, but to make it up to me you’re all gonna have to buy me a drink” she winks.

Hello!! This is an update but also not completely an update, it's somewhat in between, but I thought I'd share these things.
I haven't been able to start Nona because holiday preparations are taking all of my time. However, one of said holiday preparations involves making a gift that is tlt themed and I thought I'd share it (hopefully it doesn't end up looking too bad).
I was asked (it's a gift for my brother's partner) for a book-shaped vase-like thing for placing in a shelf to put things inside it, especially bookmarks and such. I was requested to do it Gideon-themed, so I've already made the foundation with mdf, sculpted the book over it with cold porcelain and I'm painting it in installments, before I varnish it. No polymer clay involved for this one, yes for the other craft I'm working on.
I was given three notes: 1) the cover has to feature the ninth house skull and a design made of bones, with the cover's title in its classic font, the design of where to put the bones and which bones I choose is up to me, 2) the spine needs to have all the nine houses skulls (that will be the end of me, I've already rearranged the design twice) and 3) I have to make up the blurb of the back in the style of my recaps.
So, I thought I'd share the blurb I've been working on as an extra recap and also to peer review it with those interested. I will have to see if it all goes in because I need to freehand paint this, but I'll do my best to make it work. I'm also making a miniature ornament scene at the same time, so painting little things is the name of the game this week. Here's the blurb:
She has thicc arms, aviator glasses and no idea of what's going on. Meet Gideon Nav, a horny gal with a knack for getting in deep shit. While trying to get out of a Bad Situation, she will get into a Worse One and land an unintended audition to accompany the Ninth House necromancer, Harrowcita Nonagesimus, into the latest edition of The Nine Houses' Next Top Lyctor. And, just like Tyra, the Emperor has set some Very Normal challenges along the way. We will meet smart friends, future enemies, strange twins and nasty traitors, creepy leech guys, kick ass girls and also Judith. Hold on to your rapiers and keep your bones accounted for, because things will get freaky up in Canaan House. One flesh, one end, bitch.
Added to this, I did read the Nona blurb! Because it's the first one I have a paper copy of, so I didn't get the blurb experience from the other two. I will react to that accordingly:
"no one expected nona to exist" I don't think the editor expected nona to exist either
I was advertised another book, but here we are
surprise book pregnancy
@lady-harrowhark pointed out there was a burger in her tshirt, this was something I hadn't even looked at before, I should point that out
I'm always looking at her face
she looks so happy, it's disorienting for this series
good for her tbh
living her disney channel sitcom moment
probably won't stay like that for long
"the zombies are coming back"
the what are what now
"all nona wants is a birthday party" very disney channel sitcom of her
"an unexpected young woman growing up in someone else's body"
we got some wei wuxian energy up in here
who's body tho??????
I'm scared
"resistance fighters and besieging necromantic forces" it checks out with the pov we last heard and allegedly camilla, regina george twin and judith acting like coaches for someone who doesn't know who they are
and last we heard the unoccupied body was gideon's but cover girl (put the bass in your walk) doesn't look like gideon so idk
"nona lives a temporary life" oh man, I don't know her but I like her and that makes me sad :(
she looks likeable idk
Extra commentary: I have a bookmark that I think works really well with this book: my sister gave me a lenticular bookmark of the second, third, seventh and ninth sisters from star wars that she got with a zine she received and it fits in a lot of ways

Watching The Last Kingdom for the umpteenth time it suddenly dawned on me that Sihtric was at Dunholm with Tyra and he most likely witnessed what was done to her. Who knows their connection as another person in pain. He must have known she is Uhtreds sister. Maybe in the beginning she said he will come for her? Maybe he hoped for that day too and therefore was even more eager to serve him. Her death must have been hard on him, too. Breaks my heart.
Oh, my dear Anon! I have so many thoughts about it. And yes, yes, yes you are so right. They knew each other. And they suffered together.
I have to warn of books spoilers ahead, but the show skips this detail.
From the Lords of the North:
"Hocchale," Sihtric told me, nodding at the settlement, "it's where my mother was born." "Your grandparents are still there?" I asked. "Kjartan had them killed, lord, when he fed my mother to his dogs." "How many dogs does he have?" "There were forty or fifty when I was there, lord. Big things. They only obeyed Kjartan and his huntsmen. And the Lady Thyra." "They obeyed her?" I asked. "My father wanted to punish her once," Sihtric said, "and he set the dogs on her. I don't think he was going to let them eat her, I think he just wanted to frighten her, but she sang to them."
Sihtric told Uhtred and Ragnar about Thyra. Their connection must have been very strong. They both survived Kjartan. They both are the only ones who can really uderstand and feel each other's pain, because they know, they have lived through the same cruelty, seen the same horrors, the same brutal reality. They both hoped for a rescue. Maybe it was Thyra who tried to console Sihtric, telling him that she has two brothers who will come to save them until she herself lost that hope. And then it was Sihtric to bring them to Dunholm.
The show doesn't explore their connection, but that scene when Thyra's house is burning - Sihtric isn't just sad - he's devastated. He's loosing the one person who truly shared his burden, who knew his mother.
I've actually giffed that scene but never posted it, because it breaks my heart. That look of absolute horror in Sihtric's eyes when Finan tells him that Thyra left the palace, and he realises she's in the house... 😭😭😭 And his expression in the morning when it's clear that she is gone...

Jason Katims: The character I always look at when I talk about the evolution of the show is Tyra. Zach Gilford: Yes. She’s my favorite. Mae Whitman: We talk about her so much, we’re obsessed with her! Jason: And in Tyra it was like, in the pilot of the show, you didn’t know who really she was. She was like this hot girl in the town, you didn’t really know much about her, you didn’t know who she was, where she came from, what were her dreams. And you look at what happened to that, if you watch the whole series and look at her arc, and starting to like, learn who she was and where she came from and her family and her mom and her sister and her aspirations and her dreams and all that stuff, it was really just like kind of- that to me was the thing that was so- and I think that was true of everybody. - Scott Porter: I love Tyra’s jadedness in the early part of season 1 and her confidence to make decisions all her own. We’ve talked about on the show how characters like Tyra are so now more readily available on television, but back when Tyra was there on Friday Night Lights it didn’t seem like maybe everybody was ready for that. Tyra’s a lead now, and you all built her up to that level in the show, you handled it so incredibly well over the multiple seasons of the show.

Ground Zero : Prologue
Where is home?
Xavier stood at the edge of his sister’s room, his hesitation clear as he watched Tyra stare intently at her laptop. The glow of the screen bathed her face in soft light, making her expression difficult to read. He took a deep breath, steeling himself to break the silence.
"I’m uncertain if this is wise," he began, his voice tentative. Tyra’s fingers hovered above the keyboard for a moment, but she didn’t respond. Xavier’s frustration grew. "It's been ages since we've been off this island," he continued, hoping to get through to her. "The younger ones are afraid, as are some of the others. We can’t just uproot everything and leave. We’ve spent our entire lives building this place, teaching the Genesis people to think and act… we can’t just—"
"YES WE CAN."
Tyra’s voice cut through the room like a whip, sharp and sudden. She slammed her laptop shut, her eyes meeting Xavier’s in a fierce stare. He flinched, but before he could react, Tyra’s expression softened, and she let out a deep breath. "I’m sorry, Xav," she said, her voice quieter now. "I didn’t mean to snap."
Xavier relaxed, but only slightly. The intensity in Tyra’s gaze hadn’t lessened. She stood up and crossed the room, pacing near the window, her silhouette outlined against the dimming sky outside.
"We’re not confined here anymore," she continued, more measured but still resolute. "We can leave, Xavier. We can reconnect with the world we were kept from for so long. Do you know how long I’ve waited for this? I never thought Diane would get to see the places we dreamed about, and now… now we can."
Her voice wavered slightly, but it wasn’t hesitation—it was a deep yearning. "I won’t let anyone hold me back," she declared, though the words were more for herself than him. "Not you. Not anyone."
Xavier swallowed hard, sensing her determination. Despite the cold dread clinging to his chest, he knew she was right. The Genesis people had lived in isolation for too long, hidden away by their father’s decisions. But fear still gnawed at him, especially for the younger ones—those who had never controlled their powers fully.
"What about the kids?" he asked quietly. "Diane, Aiden, Jessa… They can’t just leave this place and face the world unprepared. Our home may be small, but it’s safe. They’ve only known the island. How will they cope with everything outside?"
Tyra paused and looked down, her fingers trembling slightly. She rubbed her face, trying to smooth the tension from her brow. "I know, Xav," she said softly. "I know. But it’s not just about them, is it? This isn’t just about us. The Genesis people… the ones outside the island… they’ve been out there, alone, for years. When Father locked us away, he abandoned them too. Who knows what they’ve been through?"
She turned back to face him, and there was a guilt in her eyes that made Xavier’s chest tighten. "We need to go, Xav. They need us. The Gens in Africa, in Asia, even in the Americas... We were supposed to protect them. We can’t wait any longer."
Xavier hesitated, his mind racing. "But can’t we just wait a little longer? Maybe another year?" He swallowed again, his voice faltering. "Some of the younger ones haven’t controlled their powers yet. What if something goes wrong?"
Tyra shook her head, her voice firm once more. "We’ve waited too long already. Six months was enough. We start leaving next week. Some will follow, maybe a couple thousand. Others will stay behind, but we have to go. The Genesis need to rejoin the world, Xav. They need to be free. Their abilities shouldn’t be hidden or exploited. They deserve to be celebrated, and I won’t abandon them."
Xavier fell silent, the weight of her words heavy on his shoulders. He realized how much thought she’d put into this, how much she’d wrestled with the past, with what their father had done to them.
"You’ve thought a lot about what happened to us, haven’t you?" he asked quietly.
Tyra’s face softened, and for the first time in a while, she looked fragile. She gave a small, bitter smile. "Yeah… more than I care to admit."
June 2, 2006 - 7:00 PM
Beatrice cradled Diane in her arms, rocking the little girl who had been crying for what seemed like hours. The others—children like them—hobbled back to the manor in a ragged line, clinging to one another, broken and beaten. The attack had left them all in pieces.
Inside, they collapsed, some on the floor, others on the furniture, too exhausted to care about the blood that stained the cushions. Their small bodies trembled with pain, too young to endure what they had just survived, yet still alive—barely.
Tyra’s legs felt like lead as she closed the door behind them, locking the world outside. She scanned the room, her heart hammering in her chest. The sight of her siblings sobbing, clutching their wounds—it felt unreal. She moved as if in a dream, numb to everything, her mind struggling to process the horror.
Beatrice shuffled over, her face pale and tear-streaked, holding out Diane to Tyra. "Take her," she whispered, her voice on the verge of breaking. "Please."
Tyra took the baby in her arms, her hands trembling as she gently unwrapped the blood-soaked blanket. Diane’s tiny body was marked with the same scar Tyra bore—a deep, jagged wound that ran from her back to her side. Tyra’s breath caught in her throat as her vision blurred with tears she couldn’t afford to shed. She held Diane close, rocking her gently, her mind screaming for a solution.
Beatrice knelt beside them, wiping her face furiously, trying to hold herself together. She reached out, her hand trembling as a soft light glowed from her palm—a stigmata. She pressed it to Diane’s back, concentrating, transferring what little healing magic she had left. Diane’s sobs slowly quieted to weak whimpers as the pain subsided.
"Th-that’s enough, Bea," Tyra said softly, grabbing her sister’s hand as blood dripped from Beatrice’s nose. "She’ll be okay now…"
Beatrice nodded, but the look of devastation in her eyes mirrored Tyra’s own.
Lana, clutching an unconscious Aiden, looked up at Tyra with wide, frightened eyes. "Wh-what do we do now?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper.
All eyes turned to Tyra, waiting for an answer she didn’t have. Her heart pounded in her ears, the weight of their trust suffocating her. She wasn’t their leader. She wasn’t strong like Hiroko or wise like Patience. She was just a child, too—but they needed her.
"We need to survive," she said finally, her voice firm despite the terror gnawing at her insides. "We need to heal each other, look after each other. Father isn’t who he said he was… we can’t trust him. Not anymore."
She hugged Diane closer, her voice growing more certain with every word. "I won’t let anything happen to you. Any of you."
Slowly, she stood, her small hand gripping the railing for support as she headed for the stairs. The others watched her, their silent hope resting on her shoulders. She paused, turning to face them one last time.
"I mean it. I love you guys, and I’m going to protect us. No matter what."
In shadows deep, a burden borne, An eldest daughter, innocence torn. At tender eight, life's harsh decree, An orphaned heart, a destiny.
Siblings small, with eyes so wide, She shelters them, their silent guide. Her laughter lost, her childhood fleet, In twilight's grasp, her fate complete.
No time for dreams, no time for play, Her purpose clear, come what may. She sacrifices, her needs unseen, To shield them from life's cruel sheen.
In solitude, she finds her strength, A beacon in the dark, at length. Her love a fortress, strong and true, A guardian fierce, through and through.
Though burdened young, her spirit old, Her story whispers, yet untold. An existential symphony, her plight, A beacon of hope, in endless night.

Sunday confession: Zendaya being blamed for the erasure of black women in media is wrong and unfair. I recently saw a tweet where someone watched Challengers and said she was miscast and Myha'la, an incredible actress on Industry, and it's like, why is it that, in the black community we have this scarcity mindset when it comes to success of one black actress? If one succeeds, it's impossible for others to do the same, if not the same, in their own way?
There can only be one great black actress, but other communities, they are allowed multiple?
Colorism is a real thing but that's not the reason there is erasure of unambiguous black women, it's those actresses not having a fanbase since they were teens and not being marketable. A great example in Naomi Campbell and Ayo Edebiri.
Let's focus on Naomi first.
She has dominated the fashion industry since the 80s and at one point was the highest paid model if her time, even more than her white counterparts and Tyra Banks, a lightskinned black woman who most ppl online would say she has more privilege than Naomi yet, Naomi was more successful. Colourism didn't limit her success, so that's where I get confused when ppl complain, ppl forget their history.
Ciceley Tyson, Lola Folana, Viola Davis, Kerry Washington, Robin Givens, Vivica A.Fox are black actresses who despite hardships, have not been put in a box and played complex characters and compare it to Z's filmography, the difference is loud. Z, as of recent, its allowed to be able to play complex characters, and yet ppl assume she's superior to them when they equate her visibility equivalent to better success is so backwards. The biggest thing that has helped Z is fashion cause it allowed her to create an avenue that wasn't tied down to her role, and fashion is universal in a way.
Ayo Edebiri is a great example of being a successful black actress. She's not even 30 and has achieved so much in the last few yrs than most actors do in a decade. Being a writer and director also helps, but we all saw her first as an actress. Yes she's dark skinned but she's also unbelievably talented and those ppl who complain don't take her success as a win because they have an image on how a black woman should be in hollywood and because she's not "glamourous", they dismiss her. How frustrating.
Jayme Lawson, Chloe and Halle Bailey, Lovie Simone, Carlacia Grant, Ryan Destiny, GeffriMaya, Vivian Oparah, Jodie Turner-Smith are just the few unambiguous black actresses who are young and killing it so I'm sorry I'm not seeing this scarcity.
If the argument was there aren't enough black led romcoms or sitcoms like Girlfriends or the black version of Sex and the City, I can understand because then it's an industry problem, not a ppl problem.
End of rant😭
Thanks Anon for your confession. 😊 I know this is a very touchy subject for some, so I'll try to handle it lightly.
First of all, I def agree with you....I don't think that Z herself should be blamed for what we see in Hollywood. To me, it's society, as well as the industry which should be blamed.
why is it that, in the black community we have this scarcity mindset when it comes to success of one black actress? If one succeeds, it's impossible for others to do the same, if not the same, in their own way?........There can only be one great black actress, but other communities, they are allowed multiple?
Well, a lot of times, there's this scarcity mindset in the Black community because Hollywood itself only allows one of us to be super successful at a time. It's not even that black actresses don't exist in this country, it's more so that we're (YOUNG Black actresses) not given the meaty roles (or media coverage) that would really help to catapult our careers to superstardom.
Zendaya has been smart in carving a small part for herself in this industry and even outside of the industry, which is a very strategic and wise move, because she knows that there aren't many roles for young actresses who look like her in this industry.
All of the other actresses that you mentioned like Kerry, Viola, etc ..... most weren't doing meaty film roles in their 20s. I have always said that hollywood doesn't have a problem with older black actresses, but when it comes to beautiful, younger black actresses, it's almost like they've tried to pretend like we don't even exist. And when I realized that eighty five percent of casting directors are middle-aged white, women that told me everything I needed to know lol 😂
Ayo is a good example...a bit of a wild card.... She's unambiguously BLACK. She's EXTREMELY talented, funny, successful, and seems sweet. I love her! 🥰
But she's also non-threatening. (Read: Lacks sex appeal). Just being honest! 🤷🏾‍♀️
When is the last time you've seen a fully black, young, attractive actress in a mainstream Blockbuster film? I'll wait..... 👀
All of the other younger black actresses you mentioned may be successful in their own right, but can you really say that any of them are even near Zendaya's level? Not even CLOSE.
Granted, not many actresses (even white) are.
I don't think people should be blaming Zendaya for that though. She's pretty famous however, so that's why her name keeps getting brought up. 🤷🏾‍♀️
Personally? I blame the system/society.
