I would really appreciate it if lesbians or gay individuals and especially straight people would stop commenting on what the bisexual experience MUST be like. For many of us it is a random wake up call because of comp heteronormativity. There were a lot of girls that in middle and high school I thought I just really admired because they were pretty and popular. I thought I wanted to be them. Never did it cross my mind I was attracted because why would it? I was attracted to men. A lot of us bisexuals have no damn clue we are bisexual until later on in life. And when you look back you question how in the hell you did not realize it younger because there were so MANY signs. So many painfully obvious signs. For some it’s always been obvious and depending on their support structure and environment they were able to explore it in a healthy way. Some felt they had no option but to repress. There is no universal bi experience and everyone’s story is different
Bierasure is real and toxic. The reason so many bisexuals are confused is not because of their sexuality but because of other people trying to tell them what their experience should be like. And many of these people don’t even know because they. are not. bisexual.
#yes this is about xo kitty#a bisexual character who I related to#and I am annoyed by the people who ship Min Ho and Kitty degrading kittys secuakity because they see it as a threat#you can root for who you want and still respect her sexuality#I like both yuri and min ho#and the pain of being bisexual is wanting her to choose both but it has nothing to do with their genders#but most of all I want kitty to stay true to herself#and be happy#xo kitty#bi erasure

rile you up | lee Minho (xo kitty)
You’re Minho’s latest form of entertainment and he cannot just get enough of riling you up.
Genre: romcom, slice of life, school!au, minho is a little dick
———
“Fuck you, Minho.”
“What a ray of sunshine you are on this fine day.”
You grit your teeth together, almost grind them to nothing, and repeat the words with even more conviction, “I said fuck you.”
”Watch that tongue sunshine, might fall out if you’re not careful,” Minho’s grin just widens at the way your eyes have narrowed into slights. If looks could kill, he would’ve been shot int he head twice, revived, and shot once again. But thankfully for him, your narrow-eyed stare is nothing scarier than a cute kitten ready to take her claws out.
It’s a boring, rainy and muddy Wednesday afternoon and you really don’t want to be here, in English Lit, listening to professor Lau drone on and on about love and friendship in the verses of Lord Byron’s poems and how, if you read in-between the lines and analyze the intonations, the words, the onomatopieas, you’ll find a much deeper definition of Lord Byron’s feelings.
And Minho sitting right beside you is not making it much easier.
“You’ve got a pimple growing on your left cheek,” Minho squints at your face as you turn away, cupping your face with your hands as your eyes find the lock tick, tick, ticking at the far end of the classroom. Thirty more minutes of this torture.
“Can you just stop hyper-analyzing me like I’m some kind of lab rat?I’m really not in the mood for this right now.” You snap back.
“Woah,” Minho sighs before he shakes his head, “you really did wake up on the wrong side of the bed today.”
“And you, my friend, need to mind your own business.”
“Minho and Y/N.”
Professor Lau’s voice causes both of them to wince, physically, before looking up to see the said old man with bespectacled glasses, the book of poems in his hand and his eyebrows raised as though he expected better.
If you’re being honest, you really do enjoy Professor Lau’s classes, normally. Normally.
But not today. Today, you’re having a completely off day. You woke up late, you couldn’t sleep at all last night, and all the coffee had run out by the time you’d made it to campus. Your grades are suffering and you’re currently trying to ploughing through all the assignments without drowning.
And the worst of it all, you miss home.
You miss your mom. You miss your family, your brother with whom you would fight with at every occasion and play Mario kart with. You missed your grandma, your aunts, the food they cooked, the shared laughter, the smiles…
You’re in so deep in your thought process that you haven’t even registered that Professor Lau is telling you off until he calls for your name that brings you back to attention.
“—yes?” Your eyes flit up to Professor Lau’s and a wave of emotion suddenly takes its toll on you. You try hard to blink back the sudden burn of tears at the corner of your eyes, crawling up your throat.
“I was expecting better of your behaviour, miss Y/N,” he says, pointedly looking between you and Minho with pursed lips, “in my office after class. You’re up for cleaning duty.”
Great. That’s exactly what you need. After everything.
Fucking. Great.
———
“These pretty hands cannot clean,” these are Minho’s first words as the rest of the class files out to leave you two alone on cleaning duty and as you had predicted, there are papers all over the place, test papers and pens and pencils, “I’ve taken care of my hands all these years. I am not ruining it just to clean a classroom.”
“You are so freaking dramatic,” you roll your eyes, standing up to find the cleaning supplies that are stacked at the back of the class, in the storage closet, “let’s just get this over with and we can both move on with our lives and I won’t have to see you again for the rest of this week.”
“What’s up your arse, dude?” Minho follows you, one hand leaning on the doorframe as you start pulling out the duster, the cleaning rags and the shiny new broom that Professor Lau is currently obsessed with, “you’ve been acting really weird.”
“What?” You scoff, proceeding to hand him the broom because you know he’s never going to be the one on his hands and knees cleaning the floors, “I’m not. I’m just tired.”
“No, you’ve been acting off all week. You’re all snappy, your dark circles are so prominent you look like a walking zombie and you keep asking me to go fuck myself,” Minho rolls his eyes, “also, how do you use this?”
“Jesus chri—“ you make a move towards him, grabbing the hand holding the broom while struggling to circle his back and grabbing the other, “you keep that thing steady, then you brush the dirt from this one—“ you grip his hand and shuffle it over the floor in a sweeping motion, “until it goes into the pan. Got it?”
It's only then you realize the warmth emanating from Minho's back. If you move a little closer, you could press your cheek against him. He smells like something citrus and fresh mint and man.
Somehow, it makes goosebumps explode all over your skin. You step back abruptly, noting the heat searing through your palms where you had touched him just as he turns to face you, "you seem to be a natural at this. Why don't you do it?"
"I'm gonna take care of the floors," you're glad for the distraction that comes in the form of the rag, for there's a knot of heat in the middle of your chest and you're not quite sure how to deal with it, "let's just get this over with."
There's a long moment of silence as both of you focus on your tasks, which helps to calm down your nerves. Somehow, the sound of Minho's brush is conforting to hear.
Until he speaks up, "so you're gonna tell me what's wrong?"
"Why should I tell you, of all people?"
"Because there's nobody else around and seeing you all mopey makes me actually feel bad for you."
You wipe off the dusty corner by the teacher's desk, "Do you have any ounce of decency in you somewhere?"
"Not when you're involved," Minho snickers.
You whip around, throw the balled-up rag at him and smirk in satiafaction when it hits him square in the head, "ow--what the fuck, Y/N?!"
Glad that you managed to piss him off, you turn and continue, "oops sorry. My hand slipped."
It's not ultimately Minho's fault that you're more anxious, more easily irritated than usual. So you can't really take it out on him. But he doesn't make it any easier either.
Thankfully, the rest of the cleanup goes smoothly as butter and he parts ways with the excuse that he needs to go find his aupposed lunch date, to which you merely rolles your eyes and headed for the dining hall alone.
It doesn't normally bother you to be alone. On the contrary, you relish in those silent moments of freedom without having to hear an earful from Kitty and Q, or having Yuri complain about yet another one of her life's family miseries.
But as you find a vacant seat by the door, you can't help but suddenly feel a little small in a room full of people who seem to be right where they should be. And something in your heart constricts and clenches so hard it causes a soft sob to die at the back of your throat.
You grip your spoon a little tighter and bite down so hard on your lip that you feel the tangy taste of blood.
It feels lonely.
------
You're kind of sick.
Not physically sick.
Just sick of hearing christmas carols ringing all over campus. Sick of smelling hot chocolate in the air, sick of seeing luggages being dragged on vacation.
Sick of being here.
For an international student, returning home for Christmas was never an option. The airplane ticket is too expensive for your familt to afford, and you wouldn't ever impose that on them. But if you had to admit to that selfish part of you; you wished you were privileged enough to get to fly out at every chance you got.
Alas, that is not the kind of life that you live.
So when the doorbell rings at seven-thirty in the morning on Christmas Eve, you're more than surprised to find none other than Minho standing by your door with his hands in his pockets.
"Wh--Yeah? What do you want?" You frown upon noticing the lack of luggage behind him. Knowing Minho, he packed like a diva.
He hums and peeks inside your flat, causing you to shuffle into his peripheral vision, "what do you want Minho?"
"You're not packed."
"Wise observation, smartass."
He brushes past you and strides inside, taking his shoes off casually by the door, "why not?"
"None of your business."
He throws you an exasperated look, "you gonna keep being like this?"
"I don't know, are you gonna keep annoying the hell out of me?"
He can't help the grin that spreads over his face at that, "you're fun to mess around with."
"Well for your information, it's not fun. Not for me," you don't hesitate to walk over before grabbing onto his arm and tugging over to the door, "really. I'm fine. Now leave."
"I'm surprised you're not going home for Christmas," he continues as you're pushing him out of the door.
It stings, "why?"
"International kids usually do," he folds his arms, proceeds to lean into the open doorway and you got another whiff of his scent, "what? Daddy didn't want to pay for you this time?"
"My dad died. Two years ago."
There's surprise first, that flashes through his eyes. Then realization slowly dawns.
There’s some kind of weight in your chest. Like your heart has just broke.
"What?" You laugh but it's dry and twisted, "cat got your tongue? Too shocked to speak? Poor little Y/N, who doesn't have a father to pay off her credit card bills, right?"
"I didn't know--"
"Of course you didn't. You never asked."
"I'm--" he swallows, looks away, "—sorry."
You scoff, "don't. It's okay. I've been over it for the past two years."
It's not what he says but rather the way he looks at you that makes your insides shrivel up with dread and fear and the idea that he'll never look at you the same way ever again.
Because the thing is, no matter how much Mjnjo teases you, bullies you into oblivion, you do enjoy the attention, the banter. It's almost as if it's better than just being ignored altogether.
And amidst all his teasing and his annoying personaity, there are bite and smidges of Minho's kindness smattered in-between, flecks of tenderness that makes your heart soar, your brrath
To have such a man look down at you, pity you, makes you want to be sick.
"Y/N--" you cut him off before he can even try to make it up to you, "it's fine, Minho. Just drop it--"
"Wha--I said I was sorry, don't give me that look--"
"I said drop it!" You swerve around on him, anger bubbling from deep within your chest as blood pulses through, rushes through you, "for one goddamn second, can you just leave me alone?! I don’t need this—this constant bullying of your part! It’s tiring and it’s just so goddamn frustrating and humiliating so will you just stop?!”
The shocked silence that follows your sudden outburst is heavy. If the tension had been thick before, it’s now so hard you can barely cut it with a knife. You try to regulate your staccato breaths, try not to let your body take over your mind as you focus on breathing in, breathing out, breathing in. Breathing out. Just like that.
Calm. Like water. Like you’re a river that never stops.
“Just go, Minho,” your words are bitter. You can barely look his way, an overwhelming surge of irritation, guilt and hurt swimming through you.
Thankfully, the young man seems just as surprised as you are and leaves without even a backward glance. That’s when you finally cave in and allow your legs to crumble to your floor. Pressing your head against the door, your body instantly gives into the sadness that crumbles through you like used up tissue, soaking in all the tears that are suddenly cascading down your cheeks without restraint.
You cry yourself to sleep that night.
———
“Minho, I’m really sorry about my behaviour.”
You stare.
Your reflection stares back.
Shit. This doesn’t feel right. You close your eyes, exhale a soft breath, and open them once more only to find a set of familiar brown eyes gazing back at you.
It’s just the day after Christmas and though the majority of your friends were still off campus, you’re well aware that a certain Korean young man has decidedly stayed back because of his mother’s offshoot shooting commercial.
However, you still hadn’t gotten the guts to go back and ask him for a formal apology yet. Did you even need one when he’d been the one prodding you with a stick like he would with a nest of aggressive bees?
Oh well. You decided you’d be the bigger person and make the first move. As always.
So you look back to your reflection with renewed determination, take a deep breath before forcing the words out, “I am really sorry for my shitty behaviour, Minho, I should’ve—no,” you shake your head, start again and clasp your hands together for good measure, “I’m really sorry if I offended you in any way, I was hurt—no. God. I sound so pathetic.” You can’t help but curse at the mirror.
Inhale. Exhale. Deep breath. And you try once more, this time adding a small smile.
“I’m really sorry for everything that I said. I was being a bit insensitive and wasn’t in the right headspace—“ you break off with a frustrated snarl, “god! Why is it so hard to apologize to the dude?!”
“The dude’s standing right here.”
Shocked, you swivel around only to find none other than the said question in person leaning against your doorway, eyebrows raised and a semblance of a smirk lining his lips.
“M—Minho,” you feel like slapping yourself for sounding like a stuttering goldfish. Quickly, your hands smooth down your sweater, hiding them in the big bell sleeves as your eyes find everything — anything, to get off his face, “what—what are you doing here?”
“I was looking for you, actually.”
“Why?”
You’re still not looking, deciding that the faint crack in your dorm room is much more interesting.
Minho’s footsteps approach as he strides close, close enough that you get a whiff of his expensive cologne and restrain yourself from sighing out loud.
The bastard smells too good, you feel like crying.
“Why?” He scoffs, “isn’t it obvious?”
“Not really.”
“Alright. Fine,” you’re still not looking at him, which is why you almost jump out of your skin the moment you feel the gentlest graze of his fingertips at your jaw.
“Wha—“ you stutter, eyes flashing up to his on instinct.
Dark brown meets swirls of maroon. You almost lose your breath.
In the mid-morning light with sunshine falling over half of his face, Minho looks like he’d just walked out of some fashion magazine.
“What are you…doing?” You manage to murmur out. Barely.
It’s hard to concentrate when he’s right there, in your personal space, looking a little too dashing for his own good.
“You’re right. I was being a selfish dick to you two days ago,” his grip on your chin is firm, his dark eyes even firmer, “so I’m sorry if you took it the wrong way.”
You laugh, “wait—is Minho actually apologizing? To me?”
“Don’t get used to it.”
“But this is a legendary moment,” you fake a mocking gasp at him, “I should record this right now.”
“Don’t make me regret it, Y/N.”
Chuckling, your eyes crinkle up as you allow yourself to roam over his features, “okay okay, I’ll stop.”
Minho fidgets and doesn’t say anything back. Weird, considering that he has a comeback for everything. You feel his hand drop from your chin as he takes a step back, lips pressed together and face looking like he’s uncomfortable being here.
Do you make him uncomfortable? It’s not a sight you’re used to seeing. Something tugs at your heartstrings but you try and ignore it.
“What is it?” You ask instead.
“There is…” his eyes dart away, “something I need to tell you.”
“About?”
His hand drops. Instantly, cold swoops in.
“About me. And you.”
You squint, “Minho I swear, if this is one of your stupid jokes again—“
“I like you.”
You blink.
He gazes back. His eyes. They’re gazing straight at you. Focused. Intense. Hot.
So hot it causes a flame to burst in your chest.
Wait…your mind backtracks, what?
“You—“ your mouth opens. Closes. Opens once more, "I'm sorry--what?"
His eyes answer in his stead. Dark orbs swirling with a depth that makes your skin explode in goosebumps. You realize, all too soon, how close you are, how -- if you want -- you can diminish the space between just with one single step forward.
"I like you," he says it honestly. Somehow, you relish in the way he says it. Clear and transparent. No inside games, no beating around the bush, "maybe more than a little."
You sense a but. "And?"
He rolls his eyes, "and maybe I just don't know how to show it."
"You mean, acting like a five year old boy who bullies his crush for fun because he likes her?"
"Something like that."
"Okay," you drag out the word in hopes that it will hide the way your heart suddenly skips a beat, the way your legs feel weaker at the knees, "so what--what now?"
"Well, that's the part where you tell me you like me back--" Minho catches himself upon seeing you raise a brow at him, "--or not. Your choice, your rules, doll."
Doll? You can feel the flame bursting through your chest and squeezing your heart. It aches so much it hurts, though it seems that your smile can't help tugging at the corners of your lips as you watch him and despite his seeming nonchalance about the whole matter, there's the slightest sheen of pink that gives him away.
Cute. Your brain chants.
"Well," you tilt your chin up in what you hope is a confident manner, "you normally take a girl out to dinner first."
"Is that a yes?" Minho smirks.
"Did you hear what I said?"
"Yes, yes I heard alright. Fine," he sighs and crosses his arms over his chest, "tomorrow night. Dinner. Be ready by six. I'll pick you up."
"Tomorrow? But wait I--"
"You better be there, doll."
And with that, he swivels on his feet and walk away while whistling a soft tune, leaving your heart flooded with a tide of mixed emotions that erupt through your chest and butterflies running along your skin.
---
Minho: I'll come pick you up by six. Be ready then. Wear something cute but casual. Nothing fancy.
Y/N: i like how you're telling me how to dress up when you're the one who's supposes to be wooing me.
Minho: oh you don't have to worry about that.
The way he replies so smoothly has goosebumps running along the back of your neck and you squeeze your hands into fists. You're still sitting on your bed, trying to digest all this new information as another flurry of messages burst through your phone, probably fron Kitty's latest reaction your news.
Kitty: what?! Minho?! And you?! He asked you out?!!! Omg how did I not see this coming!!!
Y/N: i thought you were a matchmaker.
Kitty: well YEAH before he went and ruined it!!! Anyway, what are you WEARING?!
Y/N: i have absolutely no idea. He said something cute but casual, so I'm guessing there's not gonna be any fancy dinners or anything.
Kitty: omg!! Minho and casual doesn't sound right. Maybe he really is trying to woo you!!
Y/N: should I wear shorts? Pants? A skirt?
Kitty: definitely no pants. Maybe that cute skater skirt you wore to Yuri's party last semester?
So you do. The skirt's baby blue colour contrasts well with the simple white tshirt you decided to wear with it, and throwing on a beige cardigan and some white sneakers complete the look. You add a small blue bow into your hair to match, and take one last look at yourself in hopes that you're looking exactly how Minho wants you to--
No. That's the wrong way to go about it. Minho likes you. Yes. You. Not the girls he's always so uses to seeing. You don't have to impress him.
That’s how you meet him right outside your door, with your newly-found resolve as you catch the simple white tee and ripped jeans, hair styled just the way he likes it, just enough to make every woman’s heart swoon.
His eyes do a once-over, “not bad, Y/N. You clean up nice.”
“Not bad?” You scoff, “I’m sure there are much better adjectives to use.”
He grins, “we’ll see.”
Minho brings you over to the Han river by electric scooter, with you standing in front and holding on to the handlebars as he guides you across the street even though it’s technically illegal for people to do such a thing. But with the wind in your hair and Minho’s warmth at your back, you don’t find yourself complaining.
“Han river?” You raise a brow at him as he parks and pays for his e-scooter ride, “really? So cliche.”
“The Han River is a classic,” he looks at you pointedly, “and I’ll have you know, I’ve never brought anyone here before.”
“Ooh, does that mean anything?” You wriggle your brows and he scoffs, looks away, “shut up.”
You weren’t expecting him, of all people, to be a fan of romantic gestures such as this. But when he parks his scooter in favor of walking alongside you by the trail — even with his multiple complaints about the dirt being too dirty and people needing to revisit their wardrobe fashion — you can’t help but wonder how much effort he’s putting into just being with you. Because knowing Minho, walking on crushed grass and having his shoes in dirt is quite a big deal.
“Look, do you want to be swooned or not?” He replies when you ask him the question, even looks offended that you’d dared ask such a thing, “I thought girls loved it when boys brought them here.”
“Yes I know that,” your grin is so wide that you’re surprised it hasn’t broken your face in two yet, “and don’t get me wrong. I love it, but I never thought you—of all people — would bring me here, of all places. It’s just not…”
“Not what?” He scowls.
“Just not you,” you confess, and then, seeing that his frown seems to take a permanent fixture on his face, you quickly add, “so the fact that you’re doing it…thanks. It means…something. You know?”
Heat springs through your cheeks at the sudden confession and you quickly look away, anywhere, but not before glancing at Minho to see that he has a faint smile dancing across his lips.
As the evening wears on, you get to talk about everything and anything; from worries about your future and the rigorous routine of adult life, about which game box is better and which restaurant serves the best korean noodles, which Minho argues does not exist, considering that every single noodle joint in Seoul is a pro in making them.
"We're the city of noodles and gimbap, obviously there's more than one good noodle stop."
"You speak like someone who hasn't tasted Uncle Cha's food yet. You know, the snack from across the road to campus."
Minho's nose wrinkles, "nah I'm good--"
"Oh no you don't," you grab onto his arm before he has a chance to run away, "nu-uh. Let's go get them right now, actually."
Surprisingly awed by Cha's cuisine, Minho has no other choice than to grumble out a faint agreement. It's no secret that it makes your day.
"But the environment--" Minho shudders, "I think I saw a cockcroach scuttling about in there."
“Oh yeah,” you let your eyes follow the wall and trail back up to him, pointing at his face, “there’s one.”
Shoving you playfully, he pulls out his tongue in such a childish manner you can’t help but burst out laughing.
You decide to take the walk back along the Han River even if it makes a detour, stopping by a coffee shop to grab some hot chocolate. The city lights now illuminate the city like stars scraping the earth’s surface and you can’t help but feel amazed by how beautiful the scenery is, with the wind trickling through your hair and soft music from busking sessions in the background.
“I’ve never actually walked along the Han River before,” you confess to him as you gaze down at the black waters sloshing against the river edge, “thanks, Minho.”
He has the look of a satisfied five year old child who got a gold star for his best behaviour, “you’re welcome.”
“Who knew you’d be the one to bring me here?” You jostle his shoulder playfully before taking a sip of your hot chocolate.
“What’s that you’re implying?” He frowns.
“That you’ve surprised me and my expectations.”
“And that’s supposed to be a compliment?” He looks horrified and dramatic, “you’re harsh, Y/N. I’ll have you know, I haven’t—“ he stops himself just in time for you to swoop in and push, “yeah? You haven’t what?”
“Nevermind,” he sips his own drink and you notice the way his ears have turned red.
You giggle, “tell me, have you gone on dates before?”
“Wha—of course I have! What kind of question is that?!” You keep on laughing and laughing at his face, shaking your head as you try and muffle your chuckles the best you can, “oh god—oh my god, you never have. It’s written all over your face—“
“You talk too much,” he mutters into his drink and turns away from you, ears as red as a fire engine.
You nudge him, smiling, loving that side of him that he’s never really shown anyone before. Because you all know the cool, confident Minho. But this, this side of Minho is uncharted territory.
And you’re all here for it.
“Why not, though?”
His eyes narrow as he looks back at you, “what?”
“Why haven’t you brought anyone out before?’ You fidget with your cup, glad that it’s warming your hands so you can busy yourself with something, “because I’ve seen you, with different types of girls. All the time—“
“Yeah that didn’t mean anything.”
“But you still went out with them.”
“Is that jealousy I hear in your voice?”
“What?” Heat flushes through you, “no, I just—“
That’s when you feel it. His hand, fluttering up to yours. He pries your hold from your cup gently before bringing it down between you, fingers entangling with yours like they’re meant to be there in the first place.
And when your eyes flutter to lock onto his, there’s liquid warmth in those pools of brown, a tenderness you’ve seldom seen before.
“This is new too,” he murmurs then, “all of this.”
Your heart skips a beat. There are no words to be said.
You swallow thickly, look away, and don’t miss the soft chuckle that falls from his lips as he keeps swinging your hands back and forth between you, his smile a permanent fixture on his face. One that your lips mirror faintly as you keep walking back towards your dorms in comforting silence.
———
“Was that romantic enough for you?”
Minho’s question is met with a chuckle from your part as you finally reach your dormitory. A few stray students are still studying deep into the night, some already asleep on the deep blue couches in the common room as you make your way through, hands still entertained from earlier.
Your heart has been skipping and rollerblading into ecstasy ever since.
“Hmm,” you hum, even tilting your head in thought, “guess so. Though if I had any complaints—“
“You wouldn’t tell me, because there aren’t any,” Minho finishes for you, “right?”
“Oh i have plenty, but I’ll keep it for another time,” you flash him a mischievous smile. You’ve reached your corridor by that time, your words causing Minho to shoot you a suggestive look.
“another time?” He repeats with a cock of his brow.
You bite your lip and look away to avoid the fact that there’s a faint, yet growing smile on your face, “yeah. Maybe.”
The said young man’s lips pulls into a small smile, “I can work with that.” He murmurs, and something warm pools in the middle of your chest.
It’s hard to control yourself around Minho especially when he’s not being a little shit. Because the fact is; he’s very enticingly charming and likable.
“Well, that’s me,” you’ve reached your door then, glad that for once your dorm room is free of activity since both your roommates have gone home for the Christmas season, and turn towards Minho.
“Thanks you, for tonight,” your cheeks are warm with heat but you can’t resist grinning up at him, “I had more fun than expected.”
Minho sucks in a dramatic breath, “wow. I think i finally got a compliment out of your mouth.”
“Trust me, that’s me being nice.”
“I know,” he flashes a grin at you and before you know it, his arm has gone up to press against the doorway, caging you in and suddenly making you feel smaller than you are already. His body heat rolls into you in waves, the scent of his boyish cologne making you dizzy as your body leans into him unconsciously.
“So,” he breathes. He’s so close, so close that if you move just a little, your noses would brush, “since I’ve taken you out on a date, do I get to kiss you now?”
Air stills in your lungs. Your teeth find your lower lip.
“It depends,” your whisper is so soft he barely catches it, too enthralled by the way your mouth curves and moves with the words, “will you take me out again?”
“If her highness wishes,” Minho chuckles, tilting his head so that your noses brush. Electricity zaps through your body, goosebumps raising at the back of your neck, “I’ll take you wherever you want.”
Your eyes lock. There’s warmth, want. Desire swimming through his own pools of brown.
“Sounds like a promise,” you breathe, “so when will that—“
“Y/N.”
The way he says your name has a knot tightening in your stomach. Your body tenses in anticipation.
He’s gazing at you as if he’s only just seeing you. His lips are so close, you can feel his breaths on your lips. Hot against cold. He smells divine.
You’re so lost in your own daydream that you respond a few seconds late, “y-yeah?”
“Do me a favor?”
One hand cradles your cheek. You freeze.
“Hm?”
“Stop talking.”
And before you can do anything else, his mouth presses against yours.
Fireworks explode. Behind your eyelids. Through your body. Blood races and your brain goes fuzzy with want and desire as Minho’s other hand wraps around your waist to tug you in, his other hand clasping your jaw firmly as he kisses you. Once. Twice. He’s a good kisser, yet so gentle and tentative.
You’re taken by surprise for a few seconds, before you finally melt into him and kiss him back. A sigh escapes you as your hands go up to wrap around his neck, and the groan of satisfaction he lets out makes your entire nerves buzz with delight.
Tilting his head to the side to kiss you deeper, longer, you let out a gasp against his mouth as he pulls you even closer still, as if he can’t get enough of you. You haven’t realized you’re pressed to the door until your back meets the hard wood underneath and you yelp softly at the way his tongue swipes over your bottom lip to ask for entrance.
He kisses you softly, yet so firmly as if you’re the only thing keeping him alive, satiated. His hand at your hip moves up, tracing the back of your spine, the side of your rib cage before brushing against the corner of your bra and making you squirm while your hands curl into his hair. You tug, causing a grumble to echo out of Minho’s chest. His tongue darts in and you part for him like melted butter so that he can kiss you and ravage you without restraint.
Everything falls away, with only Minho being your anchor. You smell him, feel him against you, and want nothing else other than the dizzying rush that makes your stomach erupt with fireflies.
Your mouths part with a pop and he takes this chance to nip at your jaw, littering kisses down your neck before suckling on a soft patch of skin. Your body reacts instantly, curving into him as your lips part in a soft, minuscule moan. That’s enough to snap him back to attention.
He gazes up at you, chest heaving and all heavy breaths. His lips are swollen and red and just so beautiful. Hair tousled like he’s just tumbled out of bed and you quickly decide that’s the look you love best on him.
The curfew bell sounds and he curses.
“Minho,” you murmur when he leans in, noses brushing to capture your lips into his once more. You sigh, eyes falling shut as he takes your next set of words away.
It’s almost as if he’s drunk on you, as if he just can’t get enough.
The thought makes you shiver. Your heart swells with emotion.
“Minho,” you murmur once more against his lips. He groans, pulls away onto to bury his face into your neck and humming, “yeah?”
“Curfew’s in two minutes.”
“I know,” he’s pressing open-mouthed kisses over your collarbone and you can’t help but whimper and cradling his head closer to you despite trying to make sense of your thoughts.
“Y—You should go,” you stutter out but it’s almost like you’re talking to yourself. He’s clearly in his own world, suckling onto your skin and leaving purple marks to claim you as his. He pulls away, groaning appreciatively at the sight you make.
“Do I really have to go?” His dark eyes — darker than you’ve ever seen them — flickers over your features. There’s a kind of hunger to them that makes you shiver.
“Yes,” you stammer out, heart almost bursting out of your chest when the boy merely tugs you close before he rests his head atop yours. He holds you, breaths you in, and your eyes close on their own accord, taking in the moment like it’s the last.
“I’ll see you in the morning,” his whisper grazes the shell of your ear and you shiver. He pulls back and there’s the kind of crooked smile that makes your heart tighten, “goodnight, Y/N.”
“Good night, Minho,” you murmur and dropping a last kiss atop your temple, you watch him walk away, raising a salute with his hand as he does so.

Episode seven.
MASTERLIST
pairing: XO, Kitty's Min Ho x Female Reader
genre: Fluff, angst, enemies-to-lovers, slow burn, coming-of-age.
word count: 2.8k
warnings: Kind of suggestive, reader is in denial, lowkey cringe but it's cute y'all, I promise.
summary: Transferring to KISS was the last thing you had asked for and, yet, a certain tall boy made it seem both worse and better than you expected.
note: Bold - Korean, Italic - Over the phone
(let me know by filling the form in my bio if you want to be added to the taglist!)
You didn't remember how and when you got home. The last thing you knew was that Q had found you among the crowd of students and that you almost passed out then. That would explain why you were back in your room with the worst headache you had ever experienced. You truly woke up when Kitty gasped as she sat right up on her bed. She got up and shook your body but you groaned in pain. Concluding you were not going to get up, she left to go to Q, leaving the door of your room opened. It allowed you to hear everything.
"Q! I have something to tell you, get up!" Kitty hurriedly said.
Another door opened only for Min Ho to yell at his friend. "Q! Did you drink my collagen water?" He got no response other than an annoyed groan. "Or was it you?"
"What? No." Kitty answered.
By then, you made no effort to stay in bed as your roommates couldn't keep their voices down. You walked to the kitchen and laid your head on the counter as you kept listening to them.
"My collagen water is meant to keep my skin dewy. Not rehydrating people who can't handle their liquor."
"My God, why are you screaming?" Q whined. "It's the middle of the night and I'm still drunk."
"No, it's not. It's 8 in the morning."
"Already?" you whined as well.
"Yes. And thanks to some idiot, my party dynasty has come to an untimely end, so yeah, I am in a mood." he sighed.
"Are you in a mood to make me coffee?" Q pouted.
"Yes, but I will deeply resent you."
Your head shot up at the mention of the drink. "Will you be an angel and make me a cup too?"
He deadpanned at you. "And now you want my help. Fine but don't complain if it's not to your liking."
He walked around the counter and started to prepare everything. You yawned loudly and he shushed you, but you still yawned again.
"For crying out loud, will you stop?"
"Your party, your fault. I didn't even want to go in the first place."
"Ah yeah? And yet, you still came and denied me when I was trying to be nice to you for once. I'd say the alcohol played a big part in it, just as much as to why you're so unpleasant this morning."
You laughed sarcastically. "Aren't you being nice now..."
"I am. Here's your coffee." he said rudely as he placed the mug in front of you.
You hopped off the stool to go to the living space while he followed after to give Q his coffee and you dropped on the seat lazily. Him and Kitty seemed to be having an interesting chat as they argued whether she had a sex dream or not.
"Was it about Dae?" you joined in and she denied quickly. "Okay, not Dae."
"No, no. I didn't say I had a sex dream."
Min Ho also joined as he gave Q his cup and stood next to you, leaning on your chair.
"Okay, you didn't have to. Spill." Q insisted.
"It doesn't even matter because dreams don't mean anything."
"She's right." Min Ho jumped in rather quickly. "They don't mean anything. You can have a sex dream about someone you hate in real life."
"Yes, yes, exactly. Thank you, Min Ho. He could have a sex dream about, um, Y/N!"
You heard Min Ho choke on his coffee and you facepalmed. "What the..."
Q looked up in thoughts and bopped his head towards you. "He had a sex dream about you."
"No, I didn't." he dismissed. "If I did have a sex dream about Y/N, it'd be a sex nightmare."
"Oh gosh." you shut your eyes in embarrassment.
"I'm not hearing a denial." Q pointed out.
"It doesn't matter because dreams don't mean anything." he repeated.
"Exactly. I hate mayo." Kitty said.
"And I hate Y/N."
You winced at how loud he was while being right next to you. Q gave you a knowing look and you huffed at how intense this morning was for no reason.
"Sex dreams mean something." he smiled mischievously.
Someone then knocked at the door. You and Kitty rushed back to your room to hide only to hear Finnerty come in. Saying you were in big trouble, he informed the guys about an eight hour long detention you had to attend because of the party. You cried out and let yourself fall face first into your blankets.
"I blame this on you and Q. I wouldn't have come if you minded your business and left me alone."
Kitty chuckled. "Did you have fun, though?"
"I guess? Mostly but I wouldn't have minded staying home."
You stepped in the library together, Professor Lee having started the detention already. You sat at a table and started to pull your things out of your bag. Most of it were your notes to study for your upcoming exams. It didn't feel like it quite yet, but the end of the semester was nearing.
"You have your friend, Miss Song Covey, to thank for that." he said which caused for everyone to gasp, including yourself. "That's right. She was kind enough to alert me to last night's shenanigans."
He held out his hand for the two of you to give your phones and you complied.
"It was you?"
"It was you?"
Both Min Ho and you looked at each other weirdly after saying the same thing at the same time. Kitty chuckled awkwardly.
"This could be fun, though." she tried to cheer up. "Like The Breakfast Club, right?"
She only received glares from the others. You shook your head in disappointment and opened your books to focus on something else other than her.
Somehow, Madison found her way to detention and sat down at Min Ho's table, waving at him cutely. The girl never particularly bothered you much but with what happened the night prior, you weren't on her good side. It shouldn't even affect you this much. Min Ho had the right to do whatever he wanted on his own time.
"Hey, babe. Last night was memorable." you overheard her say to him.
Okay, maybe it did get to you more than necessary.
He cleared his throat in uneasiness. "Why are you even in here? You didn't get caught at the party."
She gave him a knowing look and you decided to step into their conversation. "Yeah, how did you not get caught?"
"Please, I've snuck out of every window in every boarding school."
Professor cut your discussion short and asked them to give him their phones. Min Ho was staring at you again in the process and mouthed something to you that you couldn't comprehend. He did it again but you were still clueless; he dropped it eventually.
"Hey." Dae called out to your table. "Kitty, did you talk to Yuri?"
She opened her eyes wide. "Yuri? Why would I talk to Yuri? I barely know her. I don't want to talk with Yuri or do anything else with her." she rambled on until her eyes laid on the said-person.
You swore the day could get any weirder than it was, but here you were. Being moody already, you decided to focus on your books instead, diving right back into studying. It didn't last, though. You heard your name being whispered loudly along with a couple of 'psst'. And you would recognize that voice anywhere now. Your eyes found their way to meet his and you were surprised to see an empty chair next to him, Madison having disappeared. He bopped his head to the place next to him but you shook your head. He gave you a look and, with a heavy sigh, you took your stuff and went to sit with him.
"Where's your girlfriend?" you asked.
"She's not my girlfriend. And I told her to sit somewhere else." he pointed to another table where, indeed, she was now sat at.
"So now you can bother me for the next eight hours, great."
"I won't even be allowed to talk with you."
You raised an eyebrow. "There's no point in sitting with you, then."
He shook his head. "I think we need to go over some things you and I?"
"For the chemistry lab? I already explained it to you."
He grunted out of frustration. "No. About you and I."
Lee shushed everyone which restrained you from asking Min Ho what he meant by that. As detention began, you actually did study. Min Ho tried to poke your hand a few times to get your attention but you always dismissed his attempts.
A few hours had passed and you had already gone over most of the stuff you needed to do. As for Min Ho, he scribbled something on a paper for a while. Writing, erasing, writing again... You weren't sure what he was doing but it seemed to keep him occupied. But when he passed the note to you, you became doubtful. You gave it back to him, not wanting to play his little game. He pushed it back to you only for you to do the same. The back and forth lasted until Lee announced he was needed at the gymnasium. After putting Madison in charge since she wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place, he took off.
"You heard him, eyes down." she said, earning groans from the other students.
When he was completely out of the library, however, she stopped pretending and told you all to do whatever. Still, no one moved and kept quiet, uncertain on what to do.
"What? Haven't any of you gotten stuck in a Saturday detention and kept the party going when your teacher leaves the room?" Getting shaking heads as a response, she gasped. "Oh, y'all are so cute. Okay, poker game will start in the World History section, make-outs move in the back by the rare books. I like an organized chaos. Go!" she finished with clasping her hands together.
Everyone moved and started to chat, some continued to study – you included.
"Y/N, can we-" Min Ho started but Madison coming up to him cut him off.
"You, me. Rare books." she whispered to him before grabbing his arm. "Let's go."
"Wait, what?" he broke away from her.
She frowned. "No?"
He glanced at you briefly. "No, find someone else."
She sighed. "So you were serious earlier. No messing around, I see."
She left to go to the stairs where people were starting to lay out their poker game. Min Ho scooted closer to you but you didn't dare to look at him.
"Can we talk now?"
You shrugged. "There's nothing to talk about."
With a frustrated sigh, he grabbed your arm and dragged you out of your chair. You complained but he kept leading you deep into the library, almost reaching the rare books.
"Would you stop pretending for once? Gosh, you're annoying." he said once you reached a spot behind a bookshelf.
"You're going straight to the point, aren't you?"
"Yes because I know you won't. What did you want to tell me last night?" he asked before crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"Nothing important... Just that I'm sorry for being rude when you simply wanted to help me with Dongmin."
He grinned. "See? You can be grateful at times."
"Yeah, yeah... But now, I also want to apologize for interrupting your make-out session with Madison."
He grunted. "It was one kiss."
"Yeah, and now it's 'babe', 'last night was memorable' and 'join me by the rare books' type of situation." you scoffed.
"It was one kiss." he repeated. "And I don't even like her, so."
"But somehow, you're together? Make it make sense."
He rolled his eyes. "She made it all up in her mind, I swear."
"Sure."
A smirk slowly grew on his face. "Are you jealous, puppy?"
You felt the blood rush to your cheeks. "You wish I was."
"Hmm, pretty sure you are."
With Professor Lee coming back, you rushed to sit right back where you were. Kitty and Yuri had vanished and you wondered what happened to them. The teacher announced that it was lunch time and gave you a paper to write down your orders. Giving it to Dae first, you and Min Ho joined him at his table.
"What are you going to eat?" you asked him.
"I don't know." he shrugged. "How can I think about food when I'm going crazy wondering what Kitty and Yuri are up to."
"I asked myself the same." you hummed.
"Whatever it is, it's none of our business." Min Ho said.
Dae nodded and took the paper for the food orders. "You're right. I guess I'll just order their lunch."
He started to write but seeing what he was putting for Kitty, you stopped him. "She likes tuna gimbap."
"Without mayo." Min Ho added.
Dae gave you both a weird look. "Since when are you Kitty experts?"
"Since we have to live with her, thanks to someone."
You hit his arm and he grunted while Dae gave you the clipboard. "He's kidding, he loves living with her."
He scoffed. "Let's say I do. I know what you'll have."
"No, you don't."
"So you weren't just about to put in kimchi gimbap with jjajangmyeon?" he sneered at you making you stop writing to glare at him. "I'm right, no?"
"You are." you admitted and gave the sheet to the next table.
"Hey, what are you doing? I didn't write mine."
"I did it for you. Bulgogi kimbap? Extra kimchi?"
He grinned at you. "I'm impressed, not going to lie."
You smiled back and your eyes lingered on each other for a second too long. Dae observed in confusion.
"Did I miss something about you two?"
Min Ho only let out a hum. While Professor Lee announced he'd do a roll call, Dae started to panic. With the girls not being here, he whispered for help to the tables around. Florian was kind enough to be a suck up to the teacher and Lee left to go get a book. That left the rest of you in Madison's charge, meaning being totally free.
Min Ho took your hand and went back to the bookshelf you were at minutes ago. You knew what was coming; he wanted to finish what you had started to discuss. Crossing his arms again, he waited for you to speak.
"What do you want me to say?" you whined, getting annoyed by his behaviour.
"With Madison, were you jealous or not?"
You groaned. "This isn't close to being important to know."
He took a step closer to you. "For me, it is."
Your breath hitched. His figure hovering you, just like that time on Chuseok, it felt too personal to be a casual move. You didn't want to look at him, but he didn't stand that. Bringing his hand to your chin, he lifted your head up so you were finally eye to eye. If you weren't blushing already, you definitely were now.
"What if I wasn't? Then what?"
He thought for a moment. "Then that is it. We act as if this conversation never happened."
You hummed. "And... if I was?"
He smirked. "Wouldn't you like to find out?"
"Min Ho, please."
His eyes softened. "Then it'd be very difficult for me to not kiss you."
Something snapped in you. While a second ago you would have donne anything to keep him away the furthest from you, now all you wanted to do was to smash your lips against his. So you did just that, kissed him right away. He was startled by your boldness but it didn't take him long to kiss you back, bringing your body closer to his by your waist. It felt like every pound that had been weighting on your shoulders was gone, all the bizarre tension gone. You wondered if this was only one of his jokes to mock you afterwards but you were too immersed in the moment to care.
Unfortunately, it came to an end when someone shouted that Professor Lee was back again. You broke away from Min Ho's embrace to walk back to the tables.
"Let's go."
He held your wrist and shook his head. "Just one more minute." he said and pecked your lips.
"Lee's coming."
He huffed. "You're no fun."
You shrugged your shoulders. "We'll play later, puppy."
You swore you had never seen his eyes get darker so fast. "I like that idea."

So far I have shifted to All Of Us Are Dead (a K-Drama) 4x, and I have shifted to Miraculous Ladybug 1x.
I am 16 years old, and the cut-off for people I would like to interact with my blog is probably 25, maybe younger too depending on how weird people get (I am a little weird myself, but I will not hesitate to block you if I find your interactions with my blog disturbing).
and please please PLEASE if you are an anti-shifter, do NOT interact with my blog. I DO NOT need your negative energy in my safe haven, you will be immediately BLOCKED. please do not interact with me and go take your negativity out on something useful in your life for once.
my main DRs (currently) :

Stray Kids 9th Member
Better CR (I have 2 different ones)
R U NEXT? contestant/I-LAND2 contestant/IZNA member (ik very long but it will be easier to get the jist of it when I introduce it)
(p.s. I will do a little introduction to all of these DRs soon :))
OTHER DRS I HAVE :
Miraculous Ladybug (my first script and the first place I shifted to 🤞)
All Of Us Are Dead (2nd place I shifted to and also where I have shifted the most so far in my shifting journey)

DO NOT INTERACT :
anti-shifters (I can never say this enough)
k-pop haters (pls just leave me and my silly obsession alone 😞)

Top 10 Ships Involving POC in 10 Different Fandoms (Round 4)
Thanks to the wonderful @welldressedllama for the tag! 🥰 Just for funsies, this time I’m doing enemies-to-lovers/rivals-to-lovers/maybe-not-traditional-enemies-but-way-too-antagonistic-to-not-fit-the-bill-to-lovers edition. In no particular order:
1) Macy Vaughn x Abigael Jameson-Caine (Macigael) - Charmed CW
I ultimately respect the AbiMel plot, but these two were literally Right There. Excellent chemistry from moment one and they perfectly mirrored each other with Macy as a witch with demon blood (struggling with darkness) and Abigael as a demon with witch blood (struggling to accept lightness). To think of what could have been with the two of them and the acceptance of good and bad and the whole complex mess of the self makes me insaneeee
2) Nicky Shen x Zhilan Zhang (Zhicky) - Kung Fu CW
Idek what to say their dynamic was just so fun and watching them begrudgingly grow close was chef's kiss.
3) Eve Polastri x Villanelle (Villaneve) - Killing Eve
Literally THE enemies to lovers imho. What more do I need to say? Eve said seduction into my darkness? Yes please. Villanelle said feel emotions for one (1) woman and obsess over her? Okay. They're enemies AND lovers. They've both tried to kill each other. So? They get each other like no one else. No one's doing it like them
4) Scott McCall x Theo Raeken (Sceo) - Teen Wolf
Sorry but I'm clawing at the walls, gnawing on my hands, howling at the moon over them. Exploring all the tension and the guilt and the fear and the longing is delicious. And the layer of long-lost friends? The subtle seduction into trust and the mutual destruction on Theo's part? Sorry I'm crazy about it sorry.
5) Mona Vanderwaal x Spencer Hastings (Vanderstings/Spemona?) - Pretty Little Liars
Somebody in this fandom needs to tell me right meow why they're not a bigger thing??? Quintessential 'they hate each other's guts but no one matches their freak better'. Throw Hanna in the mix and that's the perfect formulation, but they hold their own on enemies-to-lovers grounds sooooooo well.
6) Raven Reyes x John Murphy (Murven) - The 100
Truth be told they're not my top ship for each other BUT they are the epitome of enemies to friends (to lovers). Some of the best relationship development I can think of.
7) Bonnie Bennett x Nora Hildegard (Bonnora) - The Vampire Diaries
Literally why were they not a thing? Bonenzo ily but look at them! They had such a fun little antagonistic flirty thing and Nora was canonically crushing on Bonnie. All I want is queer Bonnie and I was so close to having it
8) Kitty Covey x Yuri Han (Kitturi) - XO Kitty
Kitty literally took one look at rival Yuri making music and crossed that thin line from hate to love. Girl was like "I will take this Angry tension and transform it into Sexual tension" and I respect that
9) Kathani "Kate" Sharma x Anthony Bridgerton (Kanthony) - Bridgerton
I've only watched one full episode and seen random bits here and there but I'm obsessed with her and I'm obsessed with them. Literally scene one I was all in. They are the bane of my existence and the object of all my desires
10) Luke Alvez x Penelope Garcia (Garvez) - Criminal Minds
I missed Morgan as much as the next guy, but Penelope and Luke's banter and chemistry is unmatched. Shame on the new seasons for lying to me and saying they went on a date but didn't have the same chemistry, that is such Bull
Honorable mention: Zafira x Nasir (Nasira? Nafira?) from the Sands of Arawiya duology, who I feel I cannot officially include because I have only read a small excerpt so far, but I expect to like very much
Round 1 | Round 2 | Round 3
As always, no pressure whatsoever, but I’ll tag @freddieslater @aconfusedidentity @userlaylivia @scribeoffate @sees-writes @rhyslahey and anyone else who wants to play! :)

XO, Kitty spoilers kinda !!!
Sosososo many thoughts on XO, Kitty, but mainly I’m loving that, while yes there’s loads of unnecessary drama (like any tv show tbh), they let the teens be teens, and not sex obsessed, way-to-old-to-actually-be-in-high-school, party animals. Like, I feel like I’m watching a show about people younger than me finally, and not some 17 year olds with adult problems. And also ??? Love the queerness. Yes. Idk. And the drama is messy and I’m all here for it. Kitty and Yuri should be together, yes definitely, but also Kitty and Dae are so good for each other, but also ??? Kitty and Min Ho satisfy that enmities to lovers itch that I so adore. And all of the Kitty-centric pairings are still so wholesome and such. Idk. And don’t get me started on how the show draws from kdrama tropes. The pacing, the shots, the music, AHHGG it’s just so good. As far as teen dramas go, I was actually really pleasantly surprised. Solid 9/10 would watch a second season
#xo kitty#xo kitty spoilers#kitty song covey#to all the boys series#I needed to post a ramble of my feelings on this show#I feel like people might be mad about another teen romdrama#but I will defend it over and over again#also alex is so fine y’all don’t understand#If anything I’m here for Alex#and the Alex and Kitty friendship#they’re siblings idc that they didn’t end up being real siblings in the end#they just fit the brother sister bill#I don’t make the rules#okok I’m done now

Back to masterlist
“Kitty, I can’t believe we’re going to K.I.S.S.!” I exclaimed.
“I know, same! Plus We get to learn about our heritage from our Mom’s side and I get to see Dae!”
Ever since we went to South Korea for spring break, Kitty met her boyfriend Dae, and sometimes never shuts up about it.
To convince our parents we made a presentation on why we should go to K.I.S.S and… they said yes!
We packed up and went to the airport.
As we wait in the airport, We were waiting for our flight as this person bumped into me. “Excuse me!” I said.
But I noticed that he had a badge or some sort that said “K.I.S.S.” “Do you go to K.I.S.S? Me and my sister are going to K.I.S.S.” I said proudly.
“ No english” he said. “I can speak Korean, but I didn’t want to deal with him, plus I don’t even know if he can even speak Korean” I thought.
But it was time to get on our plane.
It was a lot of hours later, but we finally made it to Seoul! We were very lost, but Thank God I knew Korean or we would have been lost.
“Where are we even going?” Kitty asked.
“Kitty, The exit is here. Let’s go” I said. I
f We didn’t see the bus, we probably would never make it to K.I.S.S.
We ran and got into the bus and waited for it to go to K.I.S.S.
As we got to KISS we went to get our papers.
“Hello, Welcome to KISS. You name?” The lady said.
“Andrea Song Covey.” I said.
“ Will you be living in the dorms?” “Yes .” I replied As she gave me forms to fill out.
“ Thank you!” I said. I went to the side and waited for Kitty as the same thing happened to her.
Kitty and I were sitting around filling forms.
Since I had my mother’s photo album, I heard someone say Jina!
As I talked with her and it seems like she never knew mom.
“I went to go talk with her but, she acted like she never knew mom” I told kitty.
“Anyways we should get to our dorm.”
As Kitty opened that door, “Hello? Anyone in here?” I said.
We heard no one so we looked around.
We saw that one room was full so we went to the other room.
We put our stuff down but there wasn’t enough beds.
“Kitty, can we share a bed? There isn’t enough beds.”
“Andrea, we are sisters, and of course we can share.”
As soon as we got down, we layed on bed, but Kitty’s phone started ringing.
“Hey dad!” We said.
“ Hey kitten and pup. Everything going okay? You all settles in your guys room?”
“ Yea, but we have no idea where our roommates are, but their stuff is here.” I said.
“ I’m sure they’ll love you guys.” Dad said.
“ Also dad, I think I met someone from Mom’s photo album today! But she acted like she didn’t remember who Mom was.” I said.
“Well, it was a long time ago pup.” Dad replied.
“ Yea, I guess.” I said back.
“ I just can’t believe that we are going to be meeting other people who knew Mom.” Kitty said.
“ Well, think about it. You’ll be walking on the same paths to class that she did, studying in the same library. Who knows, you might even be in the very same dorm room she was in right now.” Dad said.
“ I just got chills.” Kitty and I said at the same time.
“Oh jinxed.” I said and giggled.
“Ah, thats probably cause you’ll see Dae soon Kitty.”
“Ha-ha. True. I do have butterflies right now. I’m gonna see him in approximately 184 minutes at the welcoming party.”
“ Well have a great time and remember-“ Dad said.
“We are not having another talk about contraceptives with you Dad.” I said.
“Dae and I haven’t even kissed. Yet” Kitty said. “ I was gonna say, remember, the. only way to get over jet lag is to stay awake as long as possible.” Dad said.
“ Yes staying awake. Got it” I said. “ I love you guys.”Dad said.
“ Love you too.” We said.
But as soon the call ended. We drifted to sleep.
“KITTY AWAKE UP!” I scream. Dae texted you.
“OMG DAE” she yelled.
“ Go get ready!” I said.
“I have my hair and outfit done already, just gotta do makeup now.”
I was wearing a spaghetti strap dress in light blue and pearls.
With light blue highs and a blue bow in my hair.
“Come on Drea! Let’s go to the welcoming party!” Kitty said.
“ Woah, this is definitely not the Adler High Spring Dance.” I told Kitty.
As we were walking around, I bumped into this person.
“Oh, my gosh! I am so sorry.” I said.
“ Gosh. Watch where you’re going!” The man exclaimed.
“So you do speak English” I said. “ Well guess what?” I said. “I can also speak Korean.”
“ Busted.” The other man near him said.
“Welcome to Kiss.” The first man said.
“You mean kiss my ass?” I replied.
“ Woah don’t be a feisty puppy.” The guy said.
“Don’t feel bad. He loves to pull this move on people. He did it to me first time we meet.” The other man said.
As the other man bumped into the guy I bumped “Gosh damn it Q, this is bespoke.”
“Shut up about clothes. Look at out boy.” Q said.
“ Where did Dae get that suit?” The other guy said.
“Yo, Dae” Q yelled.
As Dae was walking in, I could see that Kitty was happy.
As soon as they had eye contact, they ran to each-other and hugged.
“ Are you so surprised to see me?” Kitty asks.
“ Are kidding me? You’re blowing my mind right now. What are you doing here?” Dae said happily.
“ Me and Andrea transferred to KISS.” Kitty said, “We got a scholarship snd everything. We get to spend the entire year together.” And they hugged again.
“ And know, we kiss.” She said.
“Uh, wait, Kitty I need to tell you something.” Dae said.
“ Kitty? Is this who you were talking about?” My name is Yuri.” She says.
I could tell something bad was about to happen.
“ You look amazing. This is Dae.” Yuri says.
“Oh, okay.” Kitty asked.
“Yeah, my boyfriend.” Yuri said.
“Excuse me” Kitty said running off.
“Kitty!” I said running off to find Kitty.
“ Sorry, this can’t be happening” Kitty said.

Rewatching xo Kitty knowing the outcome, and I'm more convinced than ever that Dae deserved far better
Be warned, it’s a long one
That boy went through so fucking much. He TRIED to tell Kitty what was going on. He really tried.
He only got involved in the fake relationship thing with Yuri because he was at risk of being kicked out of school. His girlfriend lived on the other side of the world, as far as he knew, and the relationship with Yuri wasn't real. He is a teenage boy; he probably thought no one would get hurt. Yes, he was wrong to presume that. This isn’t a ‘Dae is perfect’ post. He isn’t. That’s what makes him so likeable to me. But he said himself - he only agreed it with Yuri four hours before he saw Kitty at the welcome party. He was completely blindsided by her, and STILL one of the first things he said to her was 'I need to tell you something'. HE TRIED TO TELL HER! But Yuri cut in. He cared about Kitty, but this was his future, and I completely understand why he went along with it. Given the chance to explain - which Yuri promised him he could do the following day - he knew Kitty enough to know she would understand. But he couldn't risk his future. One night wasn't worth getting kicked out of school for. Kitty completely blindsided him showing up out of the blue, and he was put on the spot. But this was his life. His education. His entire future.
It sucks that Kitty got hurt, but she was the one who flew across the world without telling him. Dae had to do what was best for him and his family, which was accepting Yuri's financial aid. Even after that, he tried to explain to her again. She refused to talk to him. And I get it, I really do. Again, these characters are teenagers and acting emotionally. Kitty was understandably furious and hurt. But Dae did not get the opportunity to explain then either. He tried again the next day, but there were bigger, far more powerful people involved, pulling the strings and manipulating him. This isn’t a grown man who should know better. This is a SIXTEEN YEAR OLD BOY! He is going through a lot. His mom has recently died. His family is brassic. His sister is being bullied, made worse by the fact her shoes are falling apart so everyone knows the family is poor, and you could see how upset Dae was that he couldn't help by getting her new shoes. He is at risk of getting kicked out of school because he can't afford the tuition. It seems obvious to me that his father is not coping well, and Dae is forced to step up and be there for his sister. At the same time, he is trying to be there for Kitty who, yes, has lost her mom, but she has no idea of the other struggles Dae faces. Should he have respected her enough to confide in her about his family situation? Probably. But I understand him making bad decisions as a teenager.
So someone comes along and offers to make all that stress go away. They're going to pay some of his school fees! And all he has to do is pretend to be in a relationship with them. Who wouldn't accept that offer? Then he is told to sign an NDA. Again, he is sixteen. He hasn't got a lawyer who can explain the implications to him. All he knows is he is getting a job and a salary and security for his family out of this deal where he just has to pretend to date a girl. The reality of it doesn't hit him until Yuri reminds him that he cannot tell Kitty about anything because now he has signed an NDA and will be sued. Everything he has been offered, all the great things for his family, are at risk of disappearing if he tells Kitty the truth. And at first he's going to do it anyway. He loves this girl, he trusts her, and he would do it to be with her... until Kitty herself proves she can't be trusted. She spilled the secret about Min Ho. At that point, he does the right thing for everyone involved. He literally cannot be with Kitty and tell her the truth without potentially getting himself SUED. He might love her, but they are teenagers. No high school romance is worth that risk, I don't care what anyone says. So he ends the relationship rather than string her along. And you can see it kills him to do it (big up Minyeong Choi's acting), but it is best for everyone involved. And tbf, he has little choice. His dad could lose his job too, and that is not worth it. It's just not. He doesn't have the luxury of acting out against his parents, like Yuri, and knowing she'll still never have to worry about a thing. He doesn't have the luxury of being able to do whatever the hell he wants, like Min Ho. He has a loving and supportive family unit in his father and sister, but everything they have is at risk. And he can fix it. He can make their lives easier by breaking his own heart. It is a selfless thing that he does.
I don't blame Kitty for her reactions. Again, she is a teenager, and she has an amazing family, a supportive step mom, financial security... ultimately, Kitty is a little spoiled by that. It's understandable. But she creates a lot of problems for herself with her lack of life experience. She needs to grow up a little bit, realise she doesn't know and understand everything, and give people a chance.
Min Ho was never really Dae's friend. He is a spoiled brat. He missed hanging out with him so he decides to throw his toys out the pram and be a jerk, just to have Dae back? That’s not teenager behaviour, that’s toddler behaviour. Okay, is he sweet to Kitty at times? Undoubtedly. I think he genuinely does grow to care about her. It doesn't make him any less of an asshole though. He could see how much his supposed 'best friend' was hurting, and he actively stirred the pot between him and Kitty, for his own agenda. Calling Yuri to tell her about the outdoors club. Insisting that Kitty was flirting with him. Pushing the 'Portland stalker' narrative. Telling Professor Lee about the dorm situation. Trying to make her get mad at Dae again when the truth came out and they got back together. GOING BEHIND HIS 'BEST FRIENDS' BACK AND TELLING THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE THAT HE WAS ALSO IN LOVE WITH HER AND BEING HAPPY SHE BROKE UP WITH HIM. He is an awful friend to Dae. And I'm not saying Dae is perfect, and there are definitely things he could have done better. But Min Ho is a spoiled, pretentious asshole who really doesn't care about anyone but himself and I hope Kitty doesn't develop feelings for him in return. He is used to getting everything he ever wanted, with no consequences (none that he cared about, anyway) and it’s boring. Kitty has shown zero romantic interest in him. Long may that continue.
Ultimately, Q is the only true friend that Dae has. I hope they will maintain that in season 2 by having him come clean about Florian. Otherwise, everything Dae has gone through for his family will be for nothing because he loses his room and board scholarship. I think Q has a strong sense of right and wrong, and a good moral compass, so regardless of his feelings for Florian, he will do the right thing. At least, I truly hope so.
Kitty and Dae need some time apart. They met when they were like twelve? And have been online dating ever since. They’ve never looked at anyone but each other romantically, and their entire being has been tied to this person who they couldn’t physically be with. That takes a toll. They need time apart to figure themselves out. Kitty, to explore her sexuality, and Dae to just get his life back on track. I truly believe that, in time, they could grow back together. I don’t think they can survive without each other. They’re too interwoven.
Anyway, a parting thought - JUSTICE. FOR. DAE.

So I'm going to spoil the article for you. Kitty x Yuri is ranked #1 and I am so freaking happy about that and I agree. Yes of course I am biased because I am a lesbian and want the lesbian ship to be endgame but also the reasoning the article gave makes sense. I will say that I think that the Min ho x Kitty ship and the yuri x kitty ship are on similar levels but I hate how many people have blown Yuri off by saying she is toxic when Min ho is as well.
It just really is homophobia again at its finest. Kitty currently actually really likes Yuri and feelings can't always be explained. Her and Yuri connected the first time they met. There was chemistry there before the drama started and they figured out who the other was. We get to see a beautiful growth in both of them in just the course of 1 season as they allow themselves to get to know the other better. They were beginning to build trust and a good friendship that are beautiful foundations for a lasting relationship.
We have seen the Min ho and Kitty relationship before. I would claim that it dominates media. Honestly I don't want or need to see another one. I don't want to see another representation of the boy that dislikes the girl in the beginning, treats her like crap, and then suddenly realize he loves her. I don't want to see another representation of a girl discovering the rude guy's personality is just a mask and falling for him. I would love if they became supportive friends for each other but I don't want another straight romance like that. We have so so many of those already. And don't anyone take this the wrong way. Please. I am not shitting on straight people or men. I just want queer people, especially queer women, represented and celebrated more than they have been.
I will be honest and say I just really hope the writers end up having Yuri and Kitty be endgame. It would be a beautiful, complex love story for them to end up together which more shows need to do for queer characters. It would be amazing if Kitty ended up with her and they gave us the queer representation we really fucking need. So many shows with sapphic relationships at the forefront get canceled and I really want this one to be different. Show me growth and challenges. Show me healthy resolutions and perseverance of a relationship between two young women.
We need this representation and I am manifesting, praying, hoping that they do that.

So, I watched XO, Kitty because why not? I liked "To all the boys I've loved before" and since Kitty and Dae met very briefly but stared at each other so intensely, I was curious how this spin-off is going to turn out. I would rate this an 8/10, it is bubbly and it is entertaining.
Kitty herself is more dramatic than any kdrama, I laughed a lot at what she did but I also rooted for her. She is an interesting character or I should say, the writing is interesting because she is such a drama queen but she stands up for herself. She doesn't cry easily and she confronts people until she knows or until she reached some closure. She is brave when it comes to her emotions and she doesn't look away from her feelings.
The set-up is...well it exists. It's not the best idea but it's fine. It doesn't take long until she is in Korea and the story starts, so I can excuse the lame beginning since it was quick. I am very impressed with the way Kitty reacts when she finds out Dae "cheated on her". Of course, she is heartbroken, shocked, disappointed and angry. She storms off but then she walks back in to confront Dae. I truly admire her for that, I was sitting here like "you go girl! Don't let him mess with you."
But since I rate this an 8/10, there has to be something that bothers me...and yes there was. The story is off and it is so off-putting in a few moments, I am still confused. I don't even know if it's the pacing or the writing but Kitty goes through many things off camera. She discovers she has a half-brother she didn't know about since he was adopted by Australian parents. This is some big news I would say and I believe some people would even be mad at their mom for never telling - even if she is dead. At least a short moment, just a second of utter shock and denial...but we never get any of it. She's just like "oh, I have a secret brother...unexpected but okay" and then continues to randomly find out who he is without even having proof. I am thankful for Q telling her exactly that lmao. This whole bother-thing starts silly, then it's not her brother but Yuri's (Dae's "girlfriend") and things get interesting from there. Because Kitty went to Korea because of her mom, because she wanted to have something from her mom's youth, but she got lost midway and the intentions of her visit started to blurr between "because of mom" and "because of a boy". So this whole Alex thing showed us all why Kitty is there and it brings her close to the past of her mom. Yuri and she are connected through their mothers and there is a very nice and wholesome scene when they all - meaning Yuri, her mom, Alex and prof Lee - figure it out and just talk about it. XO, Kitty definetly had some wholesome moments throughout the mess it sometimes was.
The plot surrounding Kitty's feelings for Yuri is very intriguing. Dae and Yuri were in a fake relationship because Yuri is gay. Kitty went to Korea and thought her boyfriend Dae was cheating on her. Then Yuri and Dae "break up" and Kitty can finally be with him but she's not happy. And then she discovers her feelings for Yuri and I find this triangle funny. I like how natural the show portrays this shift. Suddenly Yuri is there much more often than before, suddenly we see more and more of her life, suddenly the attention of the camera is on her BECAUSE Kitty pays so much attention. She sees the hard feelings and the lovely girl underneath. We suddenly see Yuri in a softer light which is why their fight on stage is painful. They don't look at each other, they can't because of the choreo and it feels so cold compared to the scenes we saw before when they were together.
Believe it or not, I like the break-up scene. I like how they handled Kitty's feelings. Since Dae is very sad and kind of angry, he wants to know why Kitty is breaking up, whom she has feelings for. He doesn't quite believe that it's Yuri but thankfully their break-up doesn't really focus on that. It's just Dae being hurt because his grilfriend Kitty is in love with somebody else (whoever that is). And he doesn't take her "it's so confusing" as an apology or whatever since she still hurt him, no matter if she is discovering her sexuality or not. The writers distiguish between the relationship and sexuality which I find interesting because yes, it's no apology and it doesn't make his heart break less but it's still heartbreaking for both parties.
And please, to all the people saying she should have chosen Minho: no she shouldn't have. I think she and Minho have great chemistry but we have seen too few of these two to actually know if they would work as a couple. So far, Minho is just a great character one just has to love. He cares so much and he's so soft. I just want to hug him and tell him he's not alone because oh, my boy is such a loner. Minho is honestly the best character but I kind of think not the best for Kitty. Kitty is too messy, it's too much drama for him.
But it's probably about him if this show ever gets a second season. It started with him at the airport in slow motion while "hot" was playing (so iconic) and it ends with him sitting next to her on the plane home. Will it be like "she went off with Minho and came back with him" because I kind of would love that too. But what about her feelings for Yuri? Because I think Yuri has some for Kitty as well...oh what a mess

i need to verbalize how thrilled xo kitys portrayal of coming out in this generation makes me, especially with queer women. it’s often a lot of ‘my parents don’t know but i don’t know if they would care’, or ‘they do know but ignore it’, and yes a lot of people still are exiled from their families but as the queer community has become more accepted lots of kids get to have a safer transition to coming out.
to me this is a fantastic portrayal of queer joy. like kitty talking about her dream with Q. and feeling comfortable enough to tell her dad she’s struggling with her sexuality. being able to tell dae who her crush is. i love seeing casual young queer relationships.

01. the note under your desk | minho (xo kitty)

genre: mentions of suicide, professional swimmer athlete! Minho x marine biology student! Reader (Nina Shim)

——— masterlist | 01. DEAR K. | NEXT ———
Everything sucks.
From the university, to the students that inhabit its walls, to the dining hall food that has nothing but salt to make up for its lack of taste, to the annoying jocks that keep partying every night, to the girls who can’t stop gossiping about who got laid first—
Yes. Nina Shim is convinced that everything sucks indeed.
Opening her door to her shared apartment dormitory, she catches sight of the stale pan that has been sitting over the stove for over two weeks, despite her reminder to her roommate this morning that this should be gone by the time she gets back. Nina sighs, pushing off her boots in one swift, clumsy motion before staggering over to the small kitchen island that makes up most of the kitchen space, grocery bags in hand her backpack still slung over her one shoulder.
October is almost over in Toronto and people have been hyping up the idea of Halloween since last week. As Nina puts away her stuff in the fridge, she takes note of the scattered pumpkin-coloured paper streamed across the couch, the paper-mache ghosts in a stack on the coffee table. Her roommate, as depressed as she states she is, is gearing up quite nicely for Halloween. Too bad she can’t be as excited to clean up her own flat space. Nina has been granted all of that in her stead.
And it isn’t that Nina wants to complain. She’s not one to, has a pretty high tolerance level if she says so herself. But the thing is, it’s starting to get on her nerves. She might not be as outgoing, as carefree, as Hanni is, but that doesn’t mean that she needs to clean up after the latter like a mother would do for her children.
She has a life, even if that extends to merely hanging out in the University Aquarium lab and checking in on the goldfish every now and then.
Her phone rings in the silent stillness of her flat. Nina quickly fishes it out from her back pocket, pressing the green call button before placing it at her ear, “hello?”
“Nina!” Her mother’s voice is so warm on the other end of the line. So warm that it makes Nina’s eyes sting with tears, “how are you doing?”
“I’m okay,” she forces the words, glad that her mother can’t see her face, for she would’ve read right through her like an open book. Instead, she puts away the remaining biscuits in the cupboard above her head, “and you? How’s dad? He’s feeling better?”
“Oh you know how he is, always so stubborn,” her mother sighs, “he doesn’t want to take his medicine! And then when he falls even sicker he complains like a baby! Aiya, sometimes I wish he would just stop making my life so difficult—“
On and on she goes and that causes Nina’s mouth to twitch upwards into a smile. She misses her mother dearly, more than she will ever admit, and hearing everything that’s been happening back home makes her feel a little better about being far away despite it all.
“—but Nina, tell me, how has your roommate been? Still as dirty as always?” Her mother’s question brings her back to attention.
The girl leans against the kitchen counter, “she’s alright…just, yeah—not clean. But what else is new?”
“You should report her, you know. It’s a violation of your space and if you can't cope then--"
"Ma it's fine. Just--leave it."
"I'm just saying it would help."
"Anyway, how's dad doing?"
"Dad's been...he's been good."
"Going to his appointments I hope?" Nina asks while pulling out a glass from the drying rack.
"Yeah, it's tough for him. You know how much he hates it."
"Yeah I know."
"And you? We never get news, Nina. How's school? Do you go out with friends? You should--" she's grateful when she hears someone call her mother from the other end of the line and quickly fishes for an excuse, "oh it's okay mom, you can go. I'll catch up on homework anyway."
Her mother leaves the call with another apology, and when Nina cuts off the call and tosses her phone back onto the table, she lets out a prominent sigh. Looking up at the ceiling, she forces her eyes to stay dry, to not cry. Because crying means that she’s giving up.
She’s never felt so alone.
———
“I can’t fail.”
Minho’s seatmate and good friend going by the name of Q, just chuckles before looking down at his friend’s paper, “uh sorry bud, but I think you already did.”
“What happened to you?” His other friend Dae asks with furrowed eyebrows.
“I don’t know, man,” Minho musses up his hair and moans as if the world is about to end. Well, to him it is.
“Maybe you need a tutor,” Q suggests as the class slowly starts to file out of class.
“Or maybe Mrs. Chung hates me,” Minho says snarkily.
“Or maybe,” Dae’s hand falls onto his shoulder, “you need to get your head back in the game. You haven’t really been focused lately.”
“Yeah he’s got a point,” Q says, “anything you’d like to get off your chest?”
“Girl problems?”
“Family problems?”
“Love problems?”
“Oh shut up,” Minho rolls his eyes, slinging his backpack over his shoulder as the trio exit the lecture hall and file out into the main corridor where lingering students are waiting for the next class to begin.
“You know what’s your problem?” Dae suddenly says.
Minho looks at him with a raised brow.
“You’re skipping too many lectures.”
“Aha,” Q snaps his fingers, “now that, my friend, makes a lot of sense.”
“In my defense I have to—“
“Yes yes, we know, you have a rigorous swimming schedule,” Dae rolls his eyes, “but I think maybe it wouldn’t hurt to talk to Coach Choi about it. He might understand.”
“You mean, he’ll kill me,” mutters Minho sourly.
“Or maybe you need help from someone smart,” Q reasons, “why don’t you ask uhm—what’s her name again? The girl who’s always sitting in the front row by the right corner?”
“Ah Kimberley Chen? Yeah she’s hella smart. I’m sure she can help you,” Dae says.
While it sounds like a good idea, Minho’s pride cannot take it. Him? Asking for anything from anyone? He’d rather eat chicken feet, and god knows he hates that stuff.
Though…that doesn’t mean he can’t ask her in secret.
So that’s what he decides to do a few days after their small discussion. He stalks her social media accounts with no success. Apparently, this Kimberley Chen character doesn’t want any distractions from the digital world, hence her lack of presence on Facebook or Instagram.
Minho had no other choice than to stalk her in-between classes. Finding out where this famous Kimberley Chen sits is an easy feat considering that she’s a creature of habit. Having gathered some information on her beforehand, Minho had found out that she’s actually in the block right after his lectures, meaning that he has full chance of getting his personalized note to her.
He waits for the right moment. As soon as the bell rings to dismiss class, Minho quietly sneaks between the rows of desks before smoothly slipping in the note in the shelf right underneath. Then, assuring that no one has spotted him doing such a thing, quickly walks out with his head held high.
He should probably mentally remind himself to check that said desk during their next lecture.
———
“There’s a study group happening in the library. You coming?”
Nina shrugs at her seatmate, knowing full well that it doesn’t matter whether she comes or not. The girl had just been asking out of politeness.
Honestly, her days at university had proven to her that it was almost impossible to make friends on her own. That, or maybe she had just been destined to be alone.
It hadn’t been the case in high school. Nina remembered the happiness, the excitement about attending events with her friends.
Now, she barely had any energy to get out of her house.
“Okay well, if you wanna come, it’s at three thirty,” the girl whose name she doesn’t remember gives her a quick wave of her glossy nail-polished fingers, “bye!”
“Bye,” Nina mumbles to no one in particular. She lets out a soft breath, waiting for the rest of the seats to empty out, before quickly gathering her stuff from her shelf underneath.
It’s as she’s packing up her books that a note falls from her stack. Curious, Nina reaches down to pick it up, turning the plain white letter over. No name. Weird.
Was it money?
Would it be rude of her to check?
It isn’t addressed to anyone, meaning that Nina isn’t practically breaking any boundaries by doing so.
Maybe it belongs to someone. Someone important.
She lets her curiosity get the better of her, breaking off the sealed tip and opening up the page as her eyes scan the contents:
Dear K,
My name is Minho. You’ve probably heard of me. After all, I’m on the professional athletics team. I’m writing you this to ask you for your services. I heard that you’re the top student in class. Well, since I am failing Mrs. Chung’s class, I would really like some help with some additional notes or some studying sessions. You will be rewarded for this.
Let me know if you’re down for it. Cheers.
Minho
Whoever this Minho guy is sure has some great nerve. Nina wonders who in the world would have such a big ego to write such a thing. It sounds almost too absurd to be true.
Wait…Minho. The name somehow sounds familiar…
Or not.
She crumples it up in growing annoyance and is about to throw it away, when she thinks better of it and slowly un-crumples the note.
Maybe she should answer back. Teach him a lesson. And what is this about “You will be rewarded for this”?
Uncapping a pen and flipping the paper over, Nina bends over the table and starts scribbling down her response. Satisfied, she then folds it back into its letter and places it under the desk.
Reward, my ass.

"I'd move the barrette up a little higher." Q pointed out to Kitty while she was getting ready for school.
"Here, let me help." you said while getting up.
You took the time to replace the hair clip properly and ruffled her hair a little to give it some volume.
"Thank you." she smiled.
"No problem."
You continued to get ready yourself and brushed your hair off your face to complete your makeup. As you went doing your liner, you messed it up by jumping slightly when the door opened wide as movers walked in, all led by Min Ho.
"Come in, come in." he said while gesturing them where to go. "Okay, that can go over there. And that one here, please."
"What the hell?" you said, getting up to face him.
He groaned. "What are you still doing here?" His eyes moved to where Kitty was. "And you?"
"Did you hire movers?"
He motioned to the men as if the answer was obvious, which it was. One of the workers was pushed aside when Dae came in and removed his shoes in a hurry.
"Kitty, you're still here."
"Yes, she is." Min Ho confirmed. "And so is our little lost puppy. I'm going to call Campus Police and have them forcefully removed." he put an emphasis on removed while taking out his phone and glaring at you.
"No, you're not." you snatched the phone from his hand and sat down at your spot to finish your makeup.
"Dae, we need to talk. Now." Kitty said firmly and they left to go to the room together, closing the door behind them.
Min Ho crouched down to be at your level and held his hand to you. You ignored him as you were too focused on fixing the liner you had previously drawn incorrectly.
"Are you ignoring me?"
You shrugged your shoulders and gave him a side eye. "Depends. What do you want?"
"My phone."
"So you can call Campus Police? Hard pass."
You put your things back in your makeup bag and arranged your hair properly, not forgetting to flip a strand in Min Ho's face. He scoffed in disbelief.
"Alright, I won't call on you."
You perked an eyebrow at him, unconvinced. "Sure, you won't."
"I promise."
He gave you his hand to shake but you still refused to shake it. With an long eye roll, he extended his pinky to you. With a victorious smile, you linked yours with his and gave him back his phone.
"You better not. You know I'm friends with the principal's daughter." you threatened.
He shook his head with a chuckle. "As if Yuri scares me, yeah. Are you ready? We need to go."
With a nod, you took your school bag and knocked at your room that was still closed. Kitty and Dae were having one heck of a conversation. You hesitated to open the door but Q beat you to it and opened it wide.
"Hey, so we've got to go now, or we're going to be late." he said quickly and left.
You and Min Ho exchanged knowing looks before he spoke to the pair. "I'm leaving this open."
He took off, leaving you alone. "Hurry up, guys."
You ran to catch up to the others and headed towards the exit. You were glad the weather was nice and you walked slowly while looking around in awe. You had to admit, the campus was so pretty. The boys went their way, much to yours and Min Ho's relief, which left you alone to wander around the school grounds. You spotted Yuri from afar and she met up with Dae. They chattered for a bit in a suspicious way before walking to the school while holding hands, photographers taking pictures of them not so subtly. It was painfully obvious they were faking if you knew it. You simply had to confront them about it.
"You can't." you heard Yuri mutter to Dae as you approached them.
"Hi, Yuri. Dae." you nodded to him.
"Y/N." Yuri smiled. "Excited for the first day?"
"I'm sure it's going to be just fine. And you? You must be nervous on your first day at school with your fake relationship?"
She stopped on her tracks and looked around to make sure no one had heard you. "What?"
"Dae wanted to tell Kitty this morning but I overheard."
He squinted his eyes in defeat. "I know what you're referring to." he sighed which earned a scold from Yuri.
"Hey." you called for her attention. "I won't tell anyone, I promise. I just want to make sure you're okay. It's about Juliana, no?"
She bit her lip in hesitation but the tears building up started to fall out. You immediately came closer to her and rubbed her shoulder.
"Yes, it's her." Dae looked at her in confusion and she continued. "I'm with Juliana."
"What happened?" you asked.
She took a deep breath. "She was supposed to be at the welcome party, but she didn't come. All her social medias have been deleted, and her phone's been disconnected too." she sobbed out. "I think her parents sent her away because of me. I might never see her again."
"So you asked Dae to help you with covering it all up." you said, starting to put the pieces together.
She nodded and Dae let out a long exhale while trying to process everything. Your phone beeped to notify you that your class was starting soon.
"I have to go. I won't tell on you and come to me if you need anything, okay?"
Yuri smiled at you. "Thank you."
You left the pair to run to the school establishment and heard more clicks coming from cameras. Looking back for a second, you saw Dae giving her a piggyback ride. You smiled to yourself and focused back to going to class.
Just when you thought you were going to make it in time, you slipped on the stairs. Yet, the impact with the ground never came but strong arms held your sides.
"She's everywhere." you heard him mumble to himself. "And so clumsy."
"You do know that I understand what you're saying, right?" you asked while pushing him away from you.
Min Ho cleared his throat. "I know."
"Did you forget?" you laughed at him.
"No! You're just so americanized, it slip out of my mind that you're from here and that you speak the language for a second."
"Right." you chuckled. "Well, thank you for catching me."
You tapped his shoulder as a thanks but he brushed it off. "Whatever."
Yuri invited you to sit with her at lunch to show you her gratitude from earlier. Although you wanted to eat on your own, you accepted and joined her table when lunch break came. It was... how would you put it? It was uncomfortable. The other girls asked tons of questions to the couple and Yuri kept on bugging Dae to smile and act loving to her. You spotted Kitty with Q and excused yourself to Yuri. She gestured you to wait for a moment and then pointed to your phone. She took out her own and started to type.
Yuri: Kitty can't know, nobody can.
Y/N: It's not my place to tell, your secret is safe with me.
With a grateful smile, she gestured for you to leave and you took your tray to join your two roommates.
"And we've got two now." Q exhaled.
"Oh, I can leave if you want."
"No, it's okay." he reassured and you allowed yourself to start eating. "It's just that our friend here thinks the relationship between Dae and Yuri is fake."
You froze in place, your chopsticks an inch away from your mouth as you looked up at her. "What?"
"I know what I'm talking about, trust me." she insisted. "My sister, Lara Jean, was once in a fake relationship with her boyfriend, Peter. It's, actually, kind of my fault. But it eventually turned out real and they're still together."
You hummed, unconvinced by her statement. Well, you acted clueless.
"But that's not going to happen with Yuri and Dae." she pointed out with conviction. "I know, I'm a matchmaker."
At that point, you weren't listening. Spotting Min Ho from afar, you felt your face getting warmer. This usually would happen if you felt embarrassed or shy but this was different. You felt annoyed, frustrated, and confused only by the sight of him. Q yawning brought you back to the conversation and you shook your head in an attempt to forget and ignore Min Ho.
"Okay." Q said, sounding as unconvinced as you were. "I still don't-"
"You like him." Kitty cut him off before looking at you. "And you like him." she said as she bopped her head towards where Min Ho was.
"Florian?"
"Min Ho?"
You looked at each other after talking at the same time but you let him go on. "No, no."
"Well, he was just yawning and then you yawned and yawns are contagious so..."
You were glad she didn't insist any further on your case. You definitely despised him, especially since he was being the biggest asshole to you ever since the first time you talked.
"He's an elitist." Q argued. "He thinks not liking Marvel movies is a personality."
"Sure. Well you're hot, he's hot. Let's move on it." she almost yelled and Q shushed her making her look around, embarrassed. "Sorry. God, I forgot I wasn't in Portland."
You let out a chuckle. "She has a point, though."
"And I should not assume that you're gay, or assume that you're out, or assume anything." she continued to ramble out.
"I am out." he reassured her. "Don't get me wrong. Compared to the US, Seoul isn't exactly gay-friendly..."
Your pose straightened. You noted to yourself mentally to never meddle in someone's personal life again – although what you found yourself in was a total accident – as it was hard to keep the secret for yourself. Especially since the subject was on the table. You had spaced out while all of this was going on in your mind and didn't notice Q was off leaving until he waved you goodbye.
"Y/N." Kitty said. "So you and Min Ho?"
You glared at her. "You're delusional."
"I see things that most people can't see."
You huffed. "And that's being delusional.'
She held her hands up in defense. "Fine. But if I end up being right, don't say I didn't call it."
"It won't happen in a million years. We have to get to class soon. I believe we have chemistry together."
"Go ahead, I'll finish my lunch real quick."
You gathered your things and headed towards your classroom. It was mostly filled but you easily found a free seat next to Q.
"Hi again."
"Hey." you waved at him. "Kitty is something, that's for sure."
He laughed. "She is special but I think she's nice. It's like having a breath of fresh air."
"I agree." You heard sliding on the floor and saw Kitty having barely made it to class. "Definitely fresh air."
"Congrats, Kitty. Right on time." Professor Finnerty said to her.
"Thank you. I'm starting to figure this place out." she grinned before making her way next to Min Ho, it being one of the only free spots left.
You rolled your eyes while watching them bicker. You tried to focus on something else and opened your notebook to copy what the teacher was writing down.
"Professor Finnerty." Min Ho yelled out. "I want a new lab partner. Portland Stalker is in remedial classes."
After the teacher denied his request, he went back to arguing with Kitty and you scoffed. "Gosh, is he always like this?" you shook your head in disbelief.
"Min Ho? Most of the time, yes." Q answered.
"Poopy Baby." Kitty said loud enough for the whole class to hear.
While Min Ho was processing what she had just called him, she started to hum the melody of 'Poopy Baby'. He attempted to shush her but she pointed at him, informing the class that he was the one playing the said-baby.
"Okay, okay." the teacher called out. "That's fine, everybody can pick their own lab partners, but quickly."
Kitty got up and made her way to you. "Min Ho might like your company better than mine."
"I know what you're doing, Kitty." you said in a warning tone.
"And you're going to do it because you know I'm right."
You rolled your eyes and got your things together. "I'm only doing this so I can prove to you that you are wrong."
You walked to sit next to Min Ho and he looked at you in disgust. You saw Kitty sit next to Florian and he changed places to go with Q seconds later. Needless to say you were quite impressed with her skill, despite the fact that she totally had it wrong with you.
"Did you get lost, little puppy? Because, clearly, I wouldn't expect you to want to be paired with me. Unless I'm right and you are as much of a stalker as Portland is."
You sent him a look. "Don't think so high of yourself, Min Ho. Kitty asked me to come here and I couldn't say no."
"Because you wanted to get closer to me."
You slapped his arm with your book, earning a yelp from his part. "Keep on dreaming."
"I'll dream that you finally get out of my life."
"Fine with me, Poopy Baby."
He nudged your arm. "Don't."
You shrugged your shoulders innocently. "Should I? I don't think so."
You tried your best to not think about the annoying presence to your left as the class advanced. But Min Ho made it very difficult. Either it was an 'unintentional' bump on your shoulder or an argument over a certain answer to the questions. All of it drove you insane, you surprised yourself that you didn't smack his head by the end of it.
"That was real fun, puppy. Next time, try to not be such an arse when you get a wrong answer." he smiled at you in a fake way before walking out of the class.
You already hated chemistry, and now you were starting to ponder the idea of dropping out only because of damn Min Ho.

Note
So I caught "XO, Kitty" (spoilers ahead!), the spin off series of Netflix's "To All the Boys I Loved Before" and was shocked that the series ends up being queer, considering the trailers had zero indication of that. There's a sort of love square (or maybe pentagon?) and one of the potential LIs for the main character is another girl. And since I went in to this expecting a straight romance and was pleasantly surprised to get a queer one. Of course, that prolly means Netflix will cancel it now.
Heh, it took me so long to reply to this that it's been renewed, so at least there's that?
But yes, that's a pretty huge deal, the lead! Especially in a series like this that is meant to be about high school romance. It'll be interesting to see how it lands in the second and potential later seasons.
