Frankly I think that all series (with the exception of single season limited series of course), should be green lit for a minimum of two seasons. And I think studios should be required to either green light a third season or inform the show runners there will not be a third season before production on season two wraps so that edits can be made to wrap up the story if they won’t be getting another season. Otherwise that’s not fair to us who are watching these series only to be left on a cliffhanger forever, as well as not fair to the crew who’s continued employment on that series just hangs in limbo until studios deign to give them an answer.
