Managed to condense my Alcibiades comic a bit, we're now looking at about 50 pages. Which is way better than the nearly 100 that it was at the beginning. I've been doing a lot of trimming which feels very wrong to do to plato, but this isn't meant to be an exact 1:1 and more of a visual thing based on the dialogue. I haven't added anything of course. I've cut out a ton of "yes Socrates" by merging questions.
To do the full thing with everything included would be out of my budget to print, and I also wouldn't be able to finish it in time. It's going to be entirely black and white, because it will be sold at a con if all goes according to plan, and I want it to be affordable and not cost like 20 euros per piece. Might still need to do some fundraising via offering digital downloads or something when the time comes to print it. Last year my con table was very bare bones compared to everyone else's, and i know I can do way better this year if I spend just a bit more upfront.
I do also think that all the dialogues have a ton of comic potential, if I could get a publisher to be interested I know I could do way better, if i got paid enough to focus on it without having to do comms and stuff 😔🙏
