19. Do you listen to music in your target language(s)? If so, who are your favorite artists?

Yes, almost every day! I find that imitating what I hear, even if I don’t “know” the lyrics, has helped me a lot with pronunciation and even with vocabulary. Sometimes I learn new words or phrases in class and can instantly connect them to a song I’ve been listening to! It’s awesome. My favorite Chinese and Taiwanese artists are probably 告五人, 万能青年旅店, and SUE. And Sandwich Fail!

23. Favorite blog in your target language(s)?

Probably @zhuzhudushu because it led me to my study discord! Also Julz does great content.

37. Do you know any obscure/useless words in your target language(s)?

Not really, I’m still low intermediate! But here’s a list of some of my favorite chengyu:

心如止水 - one’s heart as calm and still as water

程门立雪 - standing in front of Master Cheng’s house in the snow (it’s sort of like…showing respect to your teachers, but not because your teacher asks for your suffering, but because you love and respect them enough to be patient and deferential)

水滴石穿 - dripping water wears through rock. or, persistence pays.
