really tired of seeing naturopaths and boomers and crunchy new age hippies condemn women / people for taking hormonal birth control or antidepressants or really any Dr prescribed treatment course, as if it somehow makes them spiritually superior/ more evolved because they think using herbs and essential oils and crystals is more valid than referring back to medical science. (I love all the aforementioned things but guys it’s not a replacement for professional intervention... )

Yes there are a lot of potential interactions and side effects for anything you’ll be prescribed, as with any medication you try, but many of us literally need those evil chemicals from big pharma to survive, prevent scary health situations and not be in pain constantly.

You’re not less of a person/ woman because you choose to “put chemicals and hormones in your body” in order to do what’s best for your health & safety! like first off everything in the environment and in our bodies is made up of chemicals and hormones. It’s not a moral failing on anyone’s part for wanting to take advantage of what medical science has to offer in the 21st century.
