Heyyoooo!! I made my way from Ao3 to find your tumblr after reading Doppio Senso! Your username and profile is the same on both sites, right? This isn’t a coincidence?

Work has been kicking my ass the past few months and I only realised the Super Mario bros movie was out after my niece asked me to take her. It was a total blast and I immediately went on Ao3, as you do, to check out the fanfics. I scroll through some stories and see “Bowuigi” and I’m thinking: “Oh, is this a new crackship? That torture scene was pretty homoerotic, I sorta see the vision.” so I click the beautiful ‘Doppio Senso’ and begin reading because ‘ooh, Italian title, fancy!’

And ohhh my GOD. WOW. 10/10, blown away, I have ascended. Made me second guess all ships I’ve ever shipped. It was kinky, funny, clever and as the kids say, ‘you ate that up.’ Bravo, mr/mrs istradis for converting me to the Bowuigi faith, amen! Now, excuse me as I go stalk your Ao3 account.

So many 🥺 the first kisses, the first times, the headcanons, falling in love, breakups and reuniting… all the times someone cherished my muses is a fond memory 😭 you can’t imagine how much it means to me if someone loves them 😭

So so many 🥺 I met so many nice people through rp and one of my best friends I know since 16 years was one of my first long time rp partners ❤️ I also lost many partners which always gave me a big heartbreak, but still I shared so many nice memories with them too that I’ll always keep them in my heart and try to focus on the good things ❤️

No one really cause I wouldn’t play the muses I played back then. The only one I would consider playing again is Mylene, with the faceclaim of Mylene Jampanoi cause I think this woman is just ❤️ but I love my Alex so much that I don’t need another female muse I think.

♂ :  Do you have a role-play/writing routine? If so, what is it?

Yes. Getting into comfy clothes, turning on some music and laying down in bed to write :) often I also light candles that remind me of the muse I play and reread older threads or scroll through pictures to get into the mood.

➳ :  Do you prefer writing on your own, on tumblr/a forum, or on an IM platform? Why?

I always used to play on IM platforms after MySpace closed, but since I started on MySpace in the comments where you could include pictures and gifs as well this is still my favorite way to do it. I love how you can jump through threads and memes on tumblr, that’s something that doesn’t exist on IM platforms. And forums are a bit tooooo open for me cause I feel easily judged and like to keep it in private. I’m a very visual person so I love aesthetics, gifs, manips, crackships, fan made videos, art… everything inspires me and I need it to write. That’s also a reason why I can’t play with characters who have no faceclaim or are animated or have a face I don’t connect with cause that’s not real enough for me. On tumblr it’s so easy to make threads and memes look pretty with all the banners and gifs and different fonts that’s why I love this platform. Also on IM platforms (amino for example) I often had the feeling that one liners use it more often while I find a lot of literal players here.

❤ :  What are some role-plays that you have done/are doing that you particularly enjoy and wish to share with your followers?

I had such amazing stories with partners I don’t write with anymore I would love to share but of course I won’t cause we don’t have contact anymore and I wouldn’t share anything against their will. Besides that I’m writing amazing private rps with @negans-savior-complex and @ricks-survivor-complex but I share a lot of it already so :)

@we-will-begin-again Mica introduced me into this rp twd fandom and she was one of the first muns I ever talked to on here. Of course her Lori is one of the most important characters for my Rick and I love how amazingly she portrays all of her characters. besides that she became so important to me as a friend cause she always listens and became my kind of rp manager 😂

@xgoldxnhour El is such an amazing character and her mun inspired me so much! Whenever we write I feel like getting better and better in my writing too and our stories will probably never end ❤️

@lovelylostminds Charlotte was one of the first muses who gave my Rick an original pre established relationship and I loved it from the beginning. Also her mun is such a good friend to me and I can’t stop cherishing her enough ❤️

@thesongbiird my babe 🥺 she was one of the first writing with my Rick and she made me fall in love with the brick ship ❤️ she also was the first one who taught me about jumping through threads and verses and memes and she is the reason why I now enjoy tumblr rp so much cause before I met her I only followed one thread, one continuing story without memes or jumping. BUT I WILL ADD TO THAT LIST OF THINGS! I also love how the au's aren't that far removed from canon. Like. A secret relationship when they're living together in s3? Yes please! It's not too crazy to think about model!sam x vogue!kurt, swimmer!sam x kurt , & jock!sam x cheerio!kurt. These tropes all take from things that are canon, which is something that I love. You don't have to change a whole character and their interests to write stuff.

Bestie, on the moment that made me realize I ship them... I'm sorry to say this but I used to... really not like Hevans. Like before I came onto Glee Tumblr, I used to lurk on Glee Instagram and whenever ppl posted about Hevans on there, I was like "Okay... and... what's even the point" (but then again I didn't ship any crackship/non-canon ship at the time). BUT OH GOSH then I joined the Glee fandom on here... and I remember searching through the Hevans tag bc #yolo & after scrolling past the third gifset, I was like "Fuck, I think I ship them now."

On top of that, I think what really got me hooked wasn't the canon scenes (although I do love those so much), but it was the thought of how much they would help each other grow as people. Like if you look at Kurt and Sam, they are both rocks for people in there life and are always there for them... but they don't get much of that reciprocated. Like we don't see Kurt asking for help with things he's struggling with past s2x06. AND! That's especially seen with his father's health problems. Sam has been through family troubles too, he knows how hard it is to ask for help and I think he would encourage Kurt to open up to people and not internalize all of the pain he's going through. And okay this part is canon, but Kurt helped Sam so much when he was homeless. Like Kurt was selfless enough to go out of his way and help out Sam when he was at his lowest, that shit gets me right in the heart. I just think they would be great for each other and encourage each other to be the best versions of themselves.

My favorite canon moments would probably have to be when Sam fought Karofsky for Kurt and deadass everything in season 6. On fighting Karofsky, I know that Kurt doesn't need anyone to defend his honor, but try to look me in the eyes and tell me it isn't fruity to get into a fistfight for a guy that you've just met. Like Sam barely knows Kurt, but here he us throwing punches in the locker room. It's just all in how much Sam must have cared about Kurt to do that for him.

And on the s6 scenes..... OH BOY.... Hevans should have dated in s6. Like okay okay 1) that scene where they're talking to everyone about a plan to bring Rachel back to New York. How Sam keeps on looking at Kurt.... and they way they turn to look at each other.... wow I love them. Oh and dear God, I die a little bit every time when I see that shot where Sam brushes his hand across Kurt's arm... please kiss already. And idk man just the thought of Sam and Kurt hanging out after work (maybe at the Lima Bean) and coming up with a plan to help out one of their friends get her life back on track. They're both such caring people and work so hard to make those that they love happy.

- Kurt babysat Stevie and Stacy alongside Quinn.

- The reason why Kurt wasn't in that video about how great Sam is, is because Kurt put together something special for him that was super personal. It's a list of reasons why Kurt loves Sam... they're broken up at the time so Sam seeing how Kurt wrote "loves" instead of "loved" makes him fight to get back together with Kurt. So not only does this list of things give Sam motivation to not give up in life, but he also gets a boyfriend out of it.

- Kurt helped Sam touch up his roots and trimmed his hair.

- Branching off of what I said earlier about Sam and Kurt meeting at the Lima Bean to conspire about how to help Rachel, they played footsie underneath the table. And it took all of their strength to not reach over and hold each other's hands on top of the table... bc they didn't know if their relationship was at the point yet of holding hands so casually.

- Kurt bought Sam those soda and candy flavored chapsticks from Claires. Kurt ended up loving the scents of some of them and stole them for himself... but Sam could tell right away that Kurt stole them based off of the flavor of his lips.

- They're both huge Taylor fans and made sure to go to every show together, even when if they were on a break. (This is based off of Kurt's love for female artists & Sam's love for country).

- Carole knew they were dating before they told anyone about their relationship. Burt sensed there was a new boy in Kurt's life, based off of how he was acting, but didn't know who. Carole could tell it was Sam because of how Kurt always suddenly wanted to hang out with Finn when Sam came over to play video games.

- Kurt helped Sam get some modeling jobs through his Vogue connections before he quit modeling... Isabelle absolutely adored Sam and wanted to hire him on as a full time model.

Page Admin: A Warning About Blocking (which won’t apply to most of you)

Some behavior is moving closer and closer to the line, so I figured it was time to give the overall Block Warning and sort of put it out there so people are aware of the rules.

First Things First:: I always say follower number doesn’t matter, but in the case of Page Admin it... actually does. I’m not paid to be on tumblr, it isn’t my job, and I won’t treat it like anything but a casual hobby. Because of that I very rarely give out warnings before blocking someone. I have too many followers for it and frankly it’d be exhausting.  Don’t be surprised.

That being said, if I block you and you don’t think you did anything listed below, just send an anon with your URL. I *DO NOT* answer that ask, but will reach out via a DM from one of my other ‘blrs. I also never publicly identify anyone I have blocked regardless of reason so they do not face harassment.

Something to note::  I clean my follower list of spam bots regularly and there have been a few times where I accidentally blocked someone because of their URL or misunderstood an ask as spam. Just send me an anon and I’ll fix it ^_^

This is another one that’s mainly a tag-related thing and frankly just so I don’t see it when I search the tags. Unless there is a specific tag I can block (like a ship name), I will just block the person posting.

This is like people insisting two actors get together or pushing false narratives trying to twist things to manufacture relationships.

Or comments/replies attacking genuine romantic partners of the artists/actors.

Crying ‘phobic’ because you disagree with canon.

I’ve seen a lot of people trying to paint writers or authors as homophobic/transphobic because they headcanon something without any canon basis (usually in shipping but also sometimes just general headcanons).

There is nothing wrong with enjoying stuff in a unique way from canon as long as you remember where canon is.

I’ve seen enough of this bullshit in the ‘Supernatural’ (Destiel) and ‘Teen Wolf’ (Sterek) fandoms, I won’t tolerate it anymore.

I’ve also seen people calling MXTX homophobic specifically because she won’t acknowledge their non-canon crackship. Those people are too stupid to be allowed online.

Most of these won’t apply to you all, but since a handful are approaching the ‘blocking point’ in their behavior, I thought I’d post a general warning. That way when the blocking begins no one can say there is no guide~~~

I’m not much of a sceo fan, but I like it 1000x more than thiam. It feels more genuine, like I could kind of picture (in character) Scott having some kind of relationship with (in character) Theo. Like in the Theo tag all I ever see is those Thiam text posts of them saying incorrect lines (yk like lines from other shows) and all I think is wtf neither of them would ever say that in the show. It’s like (some) shippers only ship the OOC shells they’ve created in their minds. Sorry i needed a rant.

Yes, that’s one of the reasons I like sceo too. They have a very strong (ifcomplicated) canon connection. There’s a lot of compatibility there, as well aston to dig into, from their friendship when they were young (possibly beforeTheo was fully corrupted by the Dread Doctors) and the fact that one of Scott’smain character traits is that he believes the best in people and that allpeople can change, to how Theo chose to follow Scott’s philosophy (which he’dpreviously rejected) to guide his redemption. Leaning on him to try tounderstand morality when clearly he had no compass of his own.

I shipped them because of this before Theo’s redemption arc, so I ship thema thousand times more now. xD

That being said, I don’t like to create “vs” mentality with shipping. It’spossible for people to ship multiple things and enjoy them. Theo’s a characterI find easy to write into a situation where he’s sleeping with anyone (writinga real relationship not so easy to do authentically – but still possible with some work). AndI don’t think there’s anything wrong with “bending” characters to make a crackshipwork if you think it’s fun. I do that literally all the time.

I’m a firm believer that if you’re not hurting anyone or forcing things onothers, then do you. Enjoy what you like! It doesn’t matter if someone elsethinks it’s OOC or derpy if it makes you happy.

But unfortunately, a lot of thiam shippers actually do hurt other peoplein the fandom with their posts and tagging behavior.

Crackposting like what you’ve just described isn’t wrong in itself, if peopleunderstand that they are intentionally misinterpreting the canon. Intentionallyreinventing it. But actually believing that this is the canon show is toxic.When people can no longer tell the difference between a fanon version of acharacter and a canon version of a character it causes tons of arguing andresentment in a fandom.

People get so far down the rabbit hole with these mainstream ships that theybegin feeling entitled and become aggressive to other fans. When I make a postabout Theo, analyzing his canon relationships and development, and then someasshat comes along to post a one line response telling me that I’m wrongbecause “Theo is in love with Liam”. THAT. IS. FUCKED. UP. Theo can be in lovewith Liam in your head but you don’t get to come tell me that like I’mdiverting from the canon when I say their relationship is like bickeringsiblings.

Also the shear quantity of these posts is problematic.

It shouldn’t be any skin off anyone’s nose if they see a few posts that theydon’t like because they think it’s ooc. Seriously, just keep scrolling. Liveand let live.

But with thiam, you can’t just keep scrolling, because the entire TheoRaeken tag is now an endless stream of thiam posts like this. If you like canonTheo or just don’t care for thiam, you basically just had your fandom takenaway, and that sucks.

There is a very easy solution to this: just tagging thiam posts as onlythiam. If people did that then they would reach just as many thiamshippers as they would elsewhere, and it wouldn’t spoil the space for others.People wouldn’t resent thiam the way they’ve grown to if it wasn’t forced downtheir throat.

I honestly don’t think that most the thiam shippers are jerks, I think they are just trying to have fun. I just wish they could be a bit more respectful of others trying to do the same thing.

I like to multiship and to crackship! I would like to be able to enjoy thiam as well as some of my other ships, but it’s becoming more and more difficult for me as I feel it hurting my fandom.

I ended up weirdly a little bit obsessed with Gunpowder, Treason & Plot (just the first half, not the second half, oh my GOD King James is unlikable), and MARY AND BOTHWELL FUCKED ME UP. OH MY GOD. I’m kind of surprised I haven’t written a monolith of fic yet. (And jsyk I mean the heavily fictionalized Bothwell ONLY, not the actual, real-life Earl of Bothwell who was terrible for like 413 reasons. Definitely not him even a little bit, just the very-made-up Devoted McBroody with whom they clearly took many liberties.) Don’t get me wrong, they’ve got problems, like, holy shit, there should’ve been a therapist making BANK off them, and I’m not saying they’re perfect to each other all the time (ahahaha no they’re not), but they loVED EACH OTHER SO UNBEARABLY FUCKING MUCH AND IT BUILT SLOWLY FROM A TRUST THING TO A MAD PASSION THING AND THEN WHAT, SHE GETS THROWN IN A CELL AND HE JUST FUCKING RIDES OFF TO RAISE AN ARMY FOR HER AND WHAT, DIES IN THE FOREST?? TBH I think “crackship” is kinda insulting for this one, ’cause it’s kinda motherfucking brilliant, but since it requires tying two different totally unrelated canons together, I figure it counts…. I remember seeing somebody mention this concept once, I can’t remember where, but it was that post!Jack Rose DeWitt-Bukater Dawson and post!Satine Christian from Moulin Rouge should end up together, and at the time I kept scrolling, so I dunno how far THEY took it (the point is: I’m not claiming to be the only person to ever come up with it), but I couldn’t stop thinking about the idea after that, so my brain just started running with it, like…. We know Rose eventually marries a dude named Something Calvert in America. We never knew Christian's last name, so it could've been Calvert, and it's reasonable that he’d never wanna see Paris again after Satine’s death, and he’d go to America next. And we know Rose became an actress. And we know Christian is a writer. So okay: Christian goes to New York as a heartbroken young writer in 1900. He keeps to himself and becomes a playwright. Fast-forward to the 20s (when it was established that Rose was working as an actress), and Rose auditions for one of Christian’s plays. Christian is immediately struck like he’s seeing a ghost (red hair/striking eyes IS his type after all). Rose can’t help but admire Christian (another sensitive artist)…. Sure, there’s an age gap, but Rose is nearing 30 by this point and she’s the one who initiates, so nothing gross there, and it would also make sense because Old Rose’s husband had clearly died LONG before she did. And one night Rose is just tired of being lonely, and she promised Jack she’d live, and she thinks this must be a sign of some kind, so she basically propositions Christian, who is ALSO tired of being lonely, and figures it’d be spitting on Satine’s memory to let his faith in love die…. So they both end up as happy as they possibly can, bonding over their sad pasts, knowing that they might not be The One™ in each other’s lives, but they can still love each other very much, and understand each other (even though Old Rose said she never told anyone about Jack, she still could’ve told Christian that she “lost someone,” and kept it vague but still led him to understand it was a kindred thing)…. IT JUST MAKES SO MUCH SENSE OKAY, I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS
