#yes i am channeling frustrations about other things into how angry this has made me

I am saying this as someone who does not watch trailers for media I am already interested in because I prefer knowing as little as possible--I AM SYMPATHETIC.
However
If seeing a mention of something that happens in a century-old book so diminishes your enjoyment that you feel the need to make it a problem for the person who "spoiled" you, I'm sorry, hon, but you shouldn't be using a public platform as your book club.

Hey hey! So i havent fully read ur fics (its on my to read list but uh..... Im really bad at actually reading stuff on there djdndn one day i shall read ur entire fic list) but ive liked what ive seen so far so ur really high on my to read list and i saw u post the new chapter for the smell of the rain and i didnt see it was a multip chap at first so i just started reading it sjsjsjdj and this line specifically took me out so bad that i couldnt finish the chapter the day i started reading it bc i just kept laughing every time i went back to read it.
"he had always thought of himself as the kind of person to be able to make rational down-to-earth decisions no matter what – which was a delusion already, Kankurou’s memories of his first exchange with Shino are definitely infused with a lot of acting on impulse and out of spite –" like this is just fucking gold its so hilarious hello? Anyway. This has made me eant to read all ur works like right this second so expect a lot of kudos ig?? Idk what the point of this was i just wanted to let u know how much that line made my day and it felt awkward leaving it as a comment when i actually hadnt fully read the series. Hdjdjdd so ye. But im loving what ive read so far! The way u characterise is really fun! Hope u have a good day/night ty for sharing ur writing with us!
No judgement, I am bad at getting myself to read things too haha
I just love the idea of Shino being like- this guy that really imagines that he is calm and not emotional and not the type to make decisions on impulse and everything (not like a certain somebody) (kiba) when he is truly easily overwhelmed by emotions and generally not great at dealing with them.
And it doesn't help that a lot of people do see him like that too. He's the nerd with the monotonous voice that you can always go to to ask a question and is always available and will answer even you don't listen to him 9 times out of 10. He serves that role both within the konoha 13 and within team 8 between Kiba's impulsivity and Hinata's shyness/emotional sensibility. He's meant to be the down-to-earth guy and he's not.
He repeatedly gets angry and frustrated in the canon but it's barely ever listened to because he's not good at expressing it in a way that sounds serious enough. And also I think he's not great at handling irrational and unanticipatable things, like his own emotions. He needs to be able to rationalise and makes sense of things and have explanations and justifications. And on the one hand, it does help because he spends a lot of time thinking his choices through and explaining them, but on the other, when he is faced with an emotion that is too strong or unexpected to be able to be channeled through reason, he as absolutely no tools to deal with it and he's just overwhlmed.
In conclusion, yes, I think he's the type of guy to make implulsive and maybe misinformed decisions because he's horny and he has a crush and the whole time he is internally staring at himself thinking "god why the fuck am I doing this???" lmao
Coincidentally, for the "why is Shino a teacher in Boruto where did that come from" crowd (I'm not judging, I get it), I think this why he's both good and bad with children. He's good at containing people and providing a cohesive and explained framework, justifying rules and letting space for them to be debated reasonably so that things make sense, and I think that's valuable for a lot of kids who often get assigned random rules and you have to follow them because that's what rules are for and adults decide. But also, children have many emotions often, they can be chaotic, especially a group of them, and, once again, when being consistent and fair and justifying himself does not suffice to make this manageable, he is probably quite quickly out of other options.
Anyway, I love him!
Please enjoy my 135k words of KankuShino as you please, I hope you'll have fun!
(another time maybe o can write about how, coincidentally, makes him both very similar and the opposite to Kankurou haha)

So… I made a post when I was manic about my 13 alters. Turns out, I blew it WAY out of proportion & overestimated things. It wasn’t until after my meltdown that i stabilized & really thought about my pluralness, & I *think* I’ve figured out my System.
For a while, I thought I had 3 alters that were an id/ego/superego, Pisces Sun/Libra Moon/Sagittarius Rising, mother/maiden/crone, Hekate/Selene/Artemis trio. But recently I realized a fourth, which leads me to…
The E.P. System
Robin / Eliana
The most recently discovered alter, who is partially a fictive of Nico Robin from One Piece. Kinda the end result of DECADES of “do I want to be with her or BE her” crushes that made me trans. I realized that the more mature stable version of my little little alter is something else entirely. And re-reading the series since the show came out (yes I am a lunatic) made me realize how much I am like her sometimes: calmly sitting off to the side, reading & sipping coffee, laughing or rarely pitching in with a dark joke. And like Robin, she’s a scholar. I think of her as the part of me that wants to be a librarian. But thing is, I have been told that I DO NOT look like a Robin. Which I don’t tbf.
Violet / Elly
My little, who is present much of the time. Little means she’s partially based on me when I was younger, which for me just means anxious nerd. I think of her as the one who takes over when I text, which uh… she isn’t actually much like her namesake Violet Baudelaire, but she does share her author’s frustrating elaborate verbosity in casual settings, which also annoys people. Need to figure out how to channel her & actually WRITE something.
April / Elle
The uh… cuddly one who’s always singing. The songs that are always stuck in my head while my other alters are going back & forth, that’s her. She’s has very bad adhd. And trust me, the name isn’t from what you think it is.
Esmé / Camellia
So this one is complicated, it kinda started as me practicing a British woman’s voice because I couldn’t do a good girl voice otherwise. Then it became a manic delusion of it being my inner goddess, Mother Nature, Gaia. Then it became an alter of Esmé Gigi Genevieve Squalor from A Series of Unfortunate events, same series as Violet. Now she’s just like, a haughty bitch who’s always cynical & angry at straight people. I’m imagining her as my Aries in Venus, for some reason.
And that’s it… a lot of names…
Right now I’m thinking of changing my legal name to something along to the lines of
Eliana Camellia La Roux (Nico Robin?) Palmer
but Amanda Palmer is problematic so idk

Synopsis: Things you do as a tradition with Kageyama, Hinata, Yamaguchi, and Tsukki before they have a game!
Genre: Fluff ✨
A/N: Thank you guys so much for continuing to read my stuff and reblogging it! It means the world to me! You guys are free to send requests if you’re reading this! Love you guys & KITHES ❤️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kageyama:
• Listen when you became a first year manager you didn’t think you’d end up dating a player
• You were a hard working manager and did everything you could for the team from baking them good luck cookies to helping them practice anytime
• Now as a third year - you are a pro at everything you do! And your boyfriend loves seeing you invested in what he’s doing all while doing what you want too
• You still have to keep Kageyama from arguing with Hinata - and Yams will most likely freak out a little
“Kageyama- time out!”
“Hinata you too!”
• Ah yeah you and Yams were a power team in the end, One that Hinata and Kageyama would never try against
• Kageyama will always find a way to help you and show that he supports you, it’s his way of showing he cares
“Y/n do you need help?”
“No she doesn’t she has me.”
• He got a little jealous if anyone helped you because he says it’s his job
“Tobio-Kun, I got it you can get back to practice.”
“But y/n-“
“I promise I got it.”
• He will listen - especially because he always wants to play better.
• and he does! But he believes it’s because of your good luck tradition
• that being you two holding a volleyball together and him pressing his forehead against yours, taking in a deep breath before kissing your forehead and getting on that court!
“Get a room.”
“Nice one Tsukki!”
• He’s on full game mode on the court because he knows you’ll always be there watching him
• You definitely get really into the game, while your boyfriend sticks to death glares you stomp around like a mad woman freaking out - YUP HE WOULDN’T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!
• During time outs - if he’s getting frustrated you hold him while everyone talks through a plan it definitely calms him down so everyone lets it happen without a word
• When they take a win though he would most definitely be on his way to give you a smooch 😳
• and you would also text a picture of the boys to their senpai’d once the game is over
Daichi, Suga, Asahi: 🥺🥺🥺🥺
• The 2nd years definitely watch their games too you would know because Noya and Tanaka make kissy noises at you and Kageyama all the time
• You two end off the night by talking about the other teams and their plays while walking to his house to spend the night getting a good rest
“So you think he’s cutest setter?”
“I only said he made ONE good set!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hinata:
• You have been his friend since middle school!
• You never knew much about volleyball but listened when he spoke about it just to help him out and because he was cute
“Wait hold the ball like this y/n! See perfect!”
• From THAT hand contact you literally were glowing as red as a neon sign
• You two did start dating in your first year though when you ran into him in the hallway because he was running late to practice he wasn’t he just wanted to beat Kageyama
• When him and Kageyama got into a heated argument - you were there to help him practice and let’s just say your setting to him in the past payed off in the end!
• you had to pry Hinata off of Kageyama when they fought and calm him down - it was one of the only times you saw him angry
• But when things were back to normal you would watch the boys bicker endlessly back and forth - you always decided against getting caught between that so you and yachi were bff’s and ignored it unless it got out of hand
• You go to all of his games and he’s beaming with happiness!
• you also go with him to try to calm him down when he has to “go to the bathroom” but he’s actually nervous
• you almost peed your pants when Ushijima toward over both of you
“Suga he looked like he could kill me!”
• Yeah Suga had to save both you and Hinata when you would get scared of the creepers in the bathroom
• Before his games you like to help him prepare by making him work on receives until you go to the stands
• And after every point he makes sure your watching and you always are! Your standing on your seat with a fist in the air cheering.
“I need one of those.”
“One of what Noya senpai?”
“A girlfriend. 😔”
• After every winning game you’d wait for Hinata while his bouncing around and he hugs you until you can’t breathe
• Post game tradition is to get ice cream together and talk about how well he did!
You praising him always makes him so soft he’ll literally turn so red
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yamaguchi:
• You were a photographer and he met you when he was practicing alone one night and you were taking pictures of random things
• You asked if you could take some pictures of him and he was shy but said yes
• You often went to their games to get some pictures for your school and for memories
• You definitely have an ugly picture of Ukai only you and the team know of
• Don’t leave your camera unattended because you will find Tanaka, Noya and Hinata vlogs after
Tanaka: Welcome back to our channel!
Noya: I wanna hold it!
*Hinata making a 😗✌🏼 face before Noya is fumbling with the camera and shows him doing a rolling thunder*
Yamaguchi: Hey! Is that y/n’s camera!”
*the oh shits and no’s before the video ends*
• Yams takes your camera and takes pictures of you when you don’t notice
“I look like a potato!”
“You’re my potato! ❤️”
• You also have a bunch of pictures of Him and Tsukki after games when you three get dinner together
“I don’t wanna be a third wheel!”
“You won’t y/n!”
• Yes your boyfriend loves his best friend more and his best friend is snarky abt it
“Nice one Tsukki.”
• yeah the boy looked at you smirking
• it was just fun and games though, Tsukki appreciates you for caring abt Yams
• your pregame ritual is you spend as much time as you can hugging Yamaguchi - and you whispering sweet things to him
• When he steps on the court, he turns a little red hearing you scream like a mad woman
Your friends: Y/N can you calm down-
• You scream 10x’s louder as the ref gives you a dirty look
• When he feels particularly upset with himself you’re always there to reassure him that he works hard and he does everything is his power
• you also know you have to give him time but he’ll come around and you’ll give him the praise he needs
“Y/n, Daichi said he appreciates your cheering but not to anger the refs this time.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukki:
• You guys started dating after you met in your first year class
• You two sat in the back and one day you noticed the boy was miserable and not wearing his usual headphones so you offered him your backup pair - he gladly accepted
• You had both became fast friends and then lovers in no time
• You guys spent lunch with Yamaguchi and spoke about anything
• Tsukishima went away for practice camp and talked to you about everything and how Yams went off on him to which you respond:
“As he should 😗”
• You talked him out of bad moods if he had a rough day after practice - and just held his hand while you two listened to music while walking home
• Kageyama and Hinata were nice to you so you took a liking in them unlike your boyfriend
“Tsukki don’t be such a mean tutor!”
“But y/n-“
• Yeah he got jealous when you helped Kageyama figure out a problem on his worksheet so he was even more stern on Kageyama sorry Kags 😔
• He DOES NOT let you go to his games
• His pregame tradition with you is usually a song recommendation, more specifically a song that reminds you of him - he just waits for you to add it to you two’s playlist
• and he texts you after he listens to it 🥺
Tsukki: why’d you add the Jurassic Park theme song?
Y/n: it reminded me of you 😳😉☺️👉🏽👈🏽
• You also make him a bento to eat because you know he forgets to eat sometimes especially on game days
• Now it’s your time to shine! You throw on a glasses hat and hoodie and make your way to his game
• He notices you right away. How? Because that’s his hoodie dummy ❤️
“Y/n.”
“Yes? I mean... am not y/n I uh-.”
• you were a bad liar especially when it involved lying to your boyfriend
• But you didn’t understand why he didn’t want you to see him play because when you did you had sparkles in your eyes just watching him
• Tanaka definitely elbows him to make him see your starry eyes .... he turned really red
• He takes you home and you two spend the rest of your time sleeping and having a breakfast date the next morning while you chat about all the things going through you two’s heads
• and he finally allows you to go to games!
“Y/n you got here so late-“
• Yeah you were standing there in one of his jerseys and face paint ❤️
• you weren’t aloud to go anymore-

The thrill of the chase - Chapter Six
Pairings: Mason Mount/OC, Ben Chilwell/OC
Warnings: Grovelling Ben and a very upset Mason.
------------------------------------------------------------
Katie
Three more days passed with radio silence from Ben. I stormed into my office on Thursday morning feeling incredibly grumpy and resentful towards everyone else. That was until I opened the door and the smell of fresh flowers hit my nose.
Every available surface apart from a small workspace on the desk was covered in vases filled with white roses, lilies and purple flowers that I didn’t recognise.
As I moved some of the vases to make space to set up my computer and tablet next to my screen I realised that there was someone stood in my doorway.
“Billy! I’ve not seen you for days. How are you?”I asked chirpily, my bad mood already lifting.
“Ye good darl, see you got Chilly’s flowers then?” he stepped closer to one vase and inspected the flowers before saying “I think mine for Bri were better.”
I laughed, shaking my head at him. The start up screen on the computer flashed up and I logged in. Immediately I started to get google alerts and other pop ups for our social media channels and some of the players’ personal accounts.
“You’re going to be busy today. Mason’s mrs has been all over social media going bat shit crazy all evening, accusing him of cheating and allsorts.”
I narrowed my eyes at the screen trying to pick out Mason’s name in the pop ups.
“Are you sure?” I asked as I scrolled through.
Billy was right though, Mason’s social media was flooded with people commenting in the defence of his girlfriend, asking how he could ever dare cheat on her. I clicked through from Mason’s page to hers and listened to the short clip from her tik tok where she explained that Mason’s head wasn’t fully in their relationship and she felt that could only mean one thing, that he was cheating on her. I rolled my eyes but at the same time I didn’t quite know what to think. Was Mason really that type of guy? Footballers have a really shit reputation for cheating because they can basically get any girl that they want but we had that chat the other day when I was upset about Ben and he had told me that he didn’t want to end things with her because he was scared of being alone.
“Do you think he actually did it? I can do a better job of squashing this if he didn’t”
Billy shook his head and straight away said “No way. Ok he’s not really in it anymore but he feels really bad about that because they’ve been together so long and she even went with him when he played for Vitesse.”
“Do you think that you can send him my way when he’s free? I’ll do my best to block the trolls and we’ll deal with the rest when I see him.”
 --------------------------------------------------------
“I am so sorry for running out on you last weekend.”
Ben had come in from training to spend his lunch break with me and was currently grovelling. I was quite enjoying having his attention again and wasn’t going to let him off the hook for disappearing that easily.
“Can I ask what was so important?”
“It’s going to sound stupid but I went back to Leicester. There was this kid there that I used to give my shirts to every week and he tweeted that it was his birthday and that he never got my shirt from the last game I played so I kind of panicked and drove up there with it.” he said.
He seemed genuine and if true, that was a very nice thing to do for a young fan. I felt the ice wall around my heart melt a little.
“I guess I can forgive you then.” I smiled.
“I hope no one told you to stop seeing me.” he mumbled, his head slightly turned in the direction of the door as if he was checking no one was listening.
I laughed and took a dramatic pause before I responded. “Bri was too loved up with Billy to give any kind of real opinion on the matter and the only other person I spoke to was Mase who told me that I should give you another chance.”
Ben shifted uncomfortably in his seat at the mention of Mason’s name which seemed a little bit weird but then again he probably knew about what was happening in Mason’s relationship right now so dropped whatever he was going to say about it.
“Do you want to go and see a movie later? Mads has been going on and on about one he saw recently. Can’t remember the name of the top of my head but it sounds good.”
“That sounds nice. As long as it’s not a horror film then I’m up for it.” I responded.
Then feeling bad that I had been a bit stand-offish with him, I leant across the desk and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. As I sat back down in my seat he mumbled “tease.”
“Sorry you still don’t get to go back to full benefits that easy Mr Chilwell.” I grinned.
“Ok then gorgeous. Can I pick you up at about 7? I’ll look at the film times and see if we can squeeze dinner in before.” he said, standing from his chair and subtly trying to brush crumbs from his sandwich onto the floor.
“Yeah ok, I’ll be ready by then. I’m hoping that I won’t need to stay late tonight.” I stood from behind the desk to see him out and pecked him again on the lips just outside my office.
“See you later.” he grinned before leaving in the direction of the training pitches.
Just as Ben turned the corner, Mason came towards the door from the opposite direction, his brow furrowed.
“Are you here to see me?” I asked him.
“Of course, you asked for me?”
He sounded very upset so I tried my best not to get snappy at him.
“Sorry, I just wasn’t sure if you had gotten the message that’s all. Come in and I’ll make us a drink.”
His expression softened a little then and he entered the office, heading straight for the more comfortable chairs over the in the corner.
Thinking that it might be more comforting than a coffee, I made him a hot chocolate and finished it off with whipped cream on top. The only thing missing from it was some chocolate sprinkles.
He laughed when I passed him the mug and said “hey where are the smarties or the dolly mixtures?”
“It does seem like it needs something on top of the cream doesn’t it?” I laughed.
We sat in comfortable silence for a few minutes while Mason sipped his drink and tried to calm himself down.
“I’ve seen her video.” I started.
“It’s a load of shit. You know it’s a load of shit right? Do you know what brought her to post that? They have a fucking new song coming out that’s about cheating and revenge and she wanted to use our relationship to promote it so their PR people told her to post a video about suspecting me of cheating to get her social media engagement up!” his voice escalated in volume as he spoke.
“Are you telling me that it was fake?”
He nodded. “Sorry for getting so angry and aggressive about it but how dare she shit on me and my image to further hers?!”
“Fuck, ok. I’m trying to think about how we manage this. If we come out and say that you haven’t done anything then I’m sure she’ll make your life living hell for it. If you were to break up with her over this, she can then make it spiral even more out of control and can use that to almost confirm her story.” I sighed, feeling so frustrated and angry for him.
“I want to break up with her now. I can’t stand the sight of her face. I don’t think I can go home and see her tonight. I don’t know what to do. I know you say she can then make it worse but I don’t know if I care at this point.” he put his head in his hands.
“Speaking to you as a friend, I think you need to do what is best for you and we will deal with the fall out from it together. We put out something this afternoon on your socials that deny her claims and we continue to do that until the story dies.” I said.
He looked over the top of his hands at me and nodded.
“Do you trust me to do this for you?” I asked.
“Of course. I’m grateful for your time. I know this isn’t exactly part of your job.”
“Marina would never forgive me if I let this get out of control and it started to affect your performance of the pitch or brought the image of the club into disrepute.” I put my hand on his shoulder and squeezed gently, hoping that he found the little bit of contact reassuring.
He looked at me, the hands that had been covering his face now in his lap and bit his lip. There was a silence between us again, and just as I was about to ask him if he felt any better, he leant in and pressed his lips against mine, his left hand coming up and cupping my cheek.
It took a lot longer for me to react and pull away from him than it should have, and he looked shocked when I did.
“Fuck!” he shouted before scrambling out of his seat and walking quickly to the door, running his hands through his hair. “Fuck!” he shouted again before slamming the door shut behind him.

I saw the amazing fic about Diavolo meeting his mc’s strict religious parents. Could you please do that for Levi too?
I got it. I realized that i will probably pull most of these "sources" from the bible since thats the easiest religious text to find these demons in.
Warning: religion
Defend Me ( LEVIATHAN X GN!READER )
Tumblr media
He felt uncomfortable from the get go. Meeting people in general completely throws him off and his anxiety went through the roof when you told him you wanted him to meet your parents. Your parents! How could he leave a good impression on them? “Hi I’m a demon. I play video games most of the time and have social anxiety. Achievements? Well I’m also the Grand Admiral of Hell’s Navy, but don’t worry! I treat them with the utmost respect because truthfully I don’t even know how I landed with them in the first place, but here we are, and I don’t want to lose them.” He can’t say that! He would sound like an absolute fool! They will think he’s way too weird for you the minute he walks in, anyway. He screams gamer-otaku-with-no-life, for goodness sakes! You can’t tell me that’s what they would want for you!
That’s why he pushed it off. For months he made up some ridiculous excuse of why he couldn’t go or why you should stay home with him. He even once went as far as to say your parents were sick and got Satan involved to actually get them sick! Nothing bad… just the seasonal flu, but still. Can’t you see that he really doesn’t want this? Well, you can see it, but you just don’t really seem to care. This is important to you and thus he, reluctantly, agreed to participate. He agreed to let Hell rise up and to try and be kind to your parents. Now.. as much as you wanted to believe him, you actually had your doubts. You knew your dad was going to tear him a new one and your mom was probably going to make fun of him too… but… you had faith in him that he could take the less.. Harmful jokes and hopefully not get too aggravated with the more rude ones… you prayed that, since he isn’t Satan, he won’t take too much offense to them.
“Ready?” Levi shook his head, looking at the bouquet of flowers in his hand, “are these okay? That’s what humans do right? They bring flowers for the mom? I saw it in a show once…” You laughed softly; he saw everything in a show once and thinks that this is how the world works. Well, he wasn’t completely wrong and it just shows that he can be a gentleman. “Yeah.. they’re fine. Okay, here we go.” You rang the doorbell, waiting for your mom to open the door, but it was actually your dad. “Dadd---!” “Hold on sweetie, who is this?” Your dad immediately stepped out and eyed Levi up and down, which made him more than uncomfortable, but he just clenched the flowers in his hand and forced himself to smile, “My name is Levi, sir. I’m their b-boyfriend.” You cringed silently. He was doing so good! But that stutter.
Your dad eyed him once more, his eyes landing on the flowers in Levi’s hand, “ah. Listen, kid, I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing but those flowers are not going to make up for the absolute wreck you are and under no circumstance are you coming into my house with that cosplay jacket on.” You gasped loudly, slapping your dad on the arm, “dad! Those flowers are for mom and it’s not a cosplay jacket, it’s just a jacket!” You shake your head, taking Levi’s hand and dragging him inside, but Levi was still too focused on the fact that he just got made fun of not once, but twice, in the same sentence. “Mom! Come meet my boyfriend, and please be nicer than dad.” Levi could hear laughter from a room nearby and was soon greeted by a grinning woman; at least she looked friendly.
“Don’t be too hard on your dad. You know he’s just looking out for you.” Levi gained some confidence back, smiling softly as he held out the flowers, “These are for you, ma’am. My name is Levi.” Your mom gave him the same up and down look your dad gave him and he suddenly felt uncomfortable again, but your mom took the flowers and smiled at him anyway. “Thank you, that’s very kind of you. Oh! And these are so pretty! Come. Sit down. (Y/N), have you offered him some water? Oh dear, where are your manners?!” He could see you throw your arms up in frustration as you tell your mom that you literally just got here, and walked off with her. He suddenly felt so alone, kind of weird too, in a strange house, but he decided to enter the room your mom just came out of and noticed it was the living room. He also noticed that it was turned to some kind of christian music channel and a quick glance around told him that Jesus was watching him from every angle, literally, “so. Besides banging my child, what else do you do?” Levi almost choked, quickly turning around as a deep red flushed over his cheeks, “I-I don’t… ‘bang’ your child, sir. We uhm… we’re far from that step.”
“And that better stay that way, kid, unless you want to become friendly with my gun collection.” Levi shook his head, trying to avoid eye contact, “no, sir. I’m great.” Your dad scoffed, calling back out to your mother and you, “what’s taking you two so long? Another minute with this softie and he might turn into a puddle.” You rolled your eyes as you walked up with glasses of water that you sat down on the coffee table, “leave him alone, dad, he’s a good guy.” “yeah and apparently made out of cotton candy. He can barely stand straight, and you want to date that?” Levi felt bad; of course he knew you could do so much better than him. Hell, he’s told you that before, it’s just that you don’t listen! “He’s a good boy? Yeah I can see that. His name is Levi for goodness sakes; what’s that short for anyway? Seriously sweety, you could do so much better than that thing over there, but I suppose being taken away from a good home and thrown into that useless exchange program does kill a few brain cells.”
Oh no. Oh no, see what we’re not going to do is insult you. “What did you just say?” Your dad’s gaze flicked over to Levi’s, grinning smugly at him, “what? Got your panties in a twist, kiddo? Let me say it again, yo--” “No. No, no, no! See what we’re NOT going to do is bash on your own child!” Levi gets up, obviously getting angry, “You can throw my name around all you want, which, by the way, is Leviathan in full, and yes, I’m exactly that sea monster mentioned in that God awful fanfiction you call the word of the Lord. They!” He angrily points at you, feeling his blood boil beneath his skin, “are the best thing that has ever happened to you, considering you couldn’t get your cock up anymore if you wanted to with that elephant of a body you call ‘attractive’. I might not be the smartest, hell, I’m not even attractive, but I know for a fact that your child is the smartest, most considerable being that has ever graced this terrible excuse of a planet and I am NOT, “ he clenches his teeth, turning into his demon form and lashing out with his tail as he pulls your father up by the collar, “letting a measly excuse for a human being tear that beautiful soul down.” He roughly pushes your father back down, hissing at him as storms flashed behind his eyes.
“Levi..---!” He grabbed your hand roughly, dragging you out of there and onto the street, not caring that people are seeing him as something other than human, other than normal. “Levi!” But he only shook his head, watching the portal open and dragging you through it. “I’m sorry, (Y/N), but I cannot just sit there and let him talk bad about you! What kind of father is that? I mean don’t get me wrong, I had my fair share of shitty parents, but at least my father didn’t think I was a complete waste of space.” He was breathing heavily, his body still tensed as you reached out for him, kind of scared but also slightly… turned on. “Levi… you’re so sweet.” you laughed softly, wrapping yourself around him and nuzzling into his neck, feeling him calm down and no doubt, feel a little embarrassed. “I didn’t think you’d stand up to him, but… It’s nice to know that you have my back.”
He frowned, wrapping his arms and tail around you tightly, “Of course I have your back. No one gets to speak so terribly about you, not even your father… I knew there was a reason why I hate socializing. No offense but I can guarantee that man isn’t going to the pretty clouds in the sky, no matter how much he pretends to be a saint.” You shook your head, still laughing softly, “no offense taken… he was always a little… harsh. I wish you would’ve paid attention to his face. He was so shocked to see you, not only defend me and yourself, but also just being able to pick him up…. It was worth the little bit of hurt.” He shook his head, kissing down your shoulder, “You should never ever have to deal with that. I mean it. You’re the smartest and most considerable. Don’t ever let anyone tell you different.” “Well… don’t let anyone tell you any different either.”
“Now you’re just asking too much from a shut-in otaku like me…”

Feelings (11 x reader)
Eleventh Doctor x fem!Reader (feelings) Word Count: 2.9k AN: This post explains why I’ve been gone, bit of an early Christmas present, hope you all enjoy it -L Warnings: None Request?: Yes MASTERLIST
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It started off as little things. “So, whaddya think?” The Doctor asked, displaying a brand new bowtie that did not remotely match his outfit. It was neon green and you cringed slightly before laughing, “You are taking that thing off right now,” You said between fits of laughter.  “What? Why? I think it matches my eyes,” He laughed in response, breathless at you. You placed your cup of tea gently onto the console, and quickly and briefly apologised to the ship. You cautiously placed your hands on his chest and quickly untied the tie. “I’m asking her to hide this from you. You’re not having it,”
“Please, I bought that at that market on Karzon 7,” he whined in response, missing the feeling on you next to him, your hands on him.
‘Yeah, no, definitely not. It’s not going anywhere near your person,” You said before slinking off down one of the corridors laughing to yourself. He missed you the second you were gone and he replayed the sound of you laughing in his head. Instinctively, the Doctor shook his world weary head, no, you were just a friend.
It escalated. You were on some foriegn planet, the four of you. The Doctor, Amy, Rory and yourself. You had raced ahead wanting to see the lights in the city at night, along with the way it combined with the stars, Rory trailing . Amy caught the Doctor staring fondly at you “Oi, loverboy, just tell her how you feel, it’d be easier than staring at her like that,”
He shot her a look “I do not have feelings for her- look she’s human. I can’t fall in love with her, these things go badly. And I’m not in love with her, you’re both my best friends.” Amy frowned and rolled her eyes in response “All I’m saying is you look at her in ways you don’t look at me and Rory and we’re also your best friends,”
It was his turn to frown, there was a pause, an uncomfortable silence. Amy continued “look the way I see it is, what’s the worst that could happen?” The conversation trailed off when they reached you and Rory. He stopped and looked at you, properly, loving staring at the light reflecting in your eyes. You asked him a question and he completely missed it “Huh? Oh sorry, I was just thinking, you said something?” You repeated your question, he wrapped his arm around you, smiled and rambled the answer to you, filling your ears with knowledge of the planet and its people as Amy and Rory shared a knowing look.
And it escalated again. You had visited a foriegn planet, the four of you. Spires of glass refracted a mixture of light and the hazy colour of the purple sky. “This is Laeturn, most things are made of glass here, delicate, be careful all of you,” The Doctor warned before gently extending his hand out to you, you accepted and smiled.  The people were lovely and accepting on the planet, one particular individual had taken a liking to you. Ko-ran he said his name was, his skin matching the gentle purple of the sky. He had slipped his arm around you at some point along the way and whispered to you about the history and traditions. The other three trailed behind, a permanent scowl fixed to the Doctors face, that would tense when Ko-ran laughed at your lack of knowledge or your attempts at pronunciation.  “You could just tell her right? You know? Do the very you thing of intervening and explaining something and she’ll give you that amazed look like she always does and then just tell her how you feel?” Rory said suddenly when you and Ko-ran were a fair distance ahead
“I don’t know what you mean, I’m just making sure she’s safe. There’s nothing wrong with being cautious,”
“Can you at least look like you’re having a good time then old man?” Amy countered
“I am having fun, I just don’t trust him, that's all just something I can’t place.”
He was right unfortunately, as he always was. Ko-ran and his people had believed you to be a lost monarch of some sort  and tried to instate you as royalty, and then threatened to kill your friends.  Eventually fighting had erupted amongst the people, Amy and Rory had managed to escape. The Doctor had managed to slip into one of the rooms you had been assigned, “Your highness, I think it’s time we left,” The Doctor smiled, wrapping his arms around you. You jumped at first not realising it was him and reached for the closest thing to you, an old walking stick, which you dropped almost immediately upon realising it was him. “Hey, it’s ok Amy and Rory are safe-” The Doctor was cut off by you hugging him tightly and sobbing lightly into his shirt “it’s ok, it’s ok. We’re getting you out.” The glass door shook lightly, guards banging against it upon hearing voices. Quickly, the sonic was used and the lock clicked further. He adjusted his neck and jacket slightly and jumped up onto the window ledge. I was a large opening and took up a proportion of the window. It towered well above his head. “I need you to trust me,” He said, extending his hand to you as he looked down from the ledge.
“You’re not suggesting we- It’s a huge drop, we’re in one of the spires,” You rambled panic taking over
“(Y/N), I need you to trust me. More than usual, please,” He urged. The light reflected beautifully in his eyes, his hair was messier than usual and the refined glass sent flecks of light washing over him. You nodded, stepped over to the ledge with him, his arms locked around you. “Look at me and nothing else. Do not look down,” A gut feeling of fear remained in your stomach, the door swung open, angry guards flooded the room. You felt the world tilt, and the wind rising, but the only thing you could focus on were his eyes. And in a moment, you lightly bumped against the TARDIS floor, on top of him giddy with adrenaline. You had barely registered what had happened, he stood up quickly, snapped his fingers and pushed a series of buttons on the console, getting you off the planet. Amy rushed over to you, wrapping her arms around you, making sure you were safe as the adrenaline wore off and you stared at the doctor as he continued on with the ship. Before he darted off down one of the many corridors presumably to fix something.
“So, I’ll be here when you get back for a full debrief or if you need anything, or even if you need to get out of it although you shouldn’t need to call me. He’s a nice guy and like actually nice not you know-” Amy rambled, maternal instincts kicking into overdrive
“Amy I’ll be ok, it’s a first date, and we’ve been speaking for a little bit anyway, and you know him so I don’t understand why you’re worried,” You laughed fixing a few strands of your hair as you walked down the final steps to the console room. The Doctor noticed you immediately “So where are you off to? Anywhere exciting?” He asked, crossing his arms, admiring you, you opened your mouth to speak, Amy spoke for you, “I did tell you. I’ll explain later, did you at least drop us off where I asked, right time period?” Amy questioned clearly frustrated “Yes, yes I did, and there’s no need to be so bossy about it. See? 24th of September, 6:45, London,” He gestured towards the screen.
“Right I best be off then,” You smiled heading towards the doors “Try not to collapse time and space whilst I’m gone.” You exited the ship and on to the slightly chilly London streets.
“So where is she off to then?” He asked crossing his arms and leaning against the console
“She has a date, I set her up with someone I know. She was finding it hard to get over someone, so I figured it might be best.” The Doctor frowned in response involuntarily “So? Are they nice then? Or will we have to go and free her later from small talk about pets, music and parents?”
“He is actually. His name’s Dan, he works with Rory. They met at one of our house parties and he seems alright,”
“You have house parties? And I wasn’t invited?”
“You were, you got the date wrong, and when you got it right you had to drag me and Rory off to deal with something, so we had to leave (Y/N) in charge, and you complained the whole time she wasn’t there,” It was Amy’s turn to frown “At least be happy for her, it’s the least you can do as her friend.”
He opened his mouth for a witty response, beeping sounded from the console
The date was going horribly. Dan was nothing like how he was at the party. You ended up excusing yourself to the bathroom and calling the TARDIS.
“Oh hey (Y/N), how's the date going?” Amy asked
“Very badly, can you come make excuses for me, he’s acting weird, like weirder than expected,”  You responded. You hung up the phone and returned to your table. You continued with awkward small talk, you sipped on your drink awkwardly “So want to come back to mine? I don’t live too far from here,” Dan suggested. You opened your mouth to excuse yourself, and the doors to the restaurant swung open and a panicked bowtie clad alien stepped through the doors. He rushed over to your table despite the many dirty looks he was receiving
“Amy told me you were here, something's happened, we need you to come home,” The Doctor said out of breath, he’d run there
“We’re in the middle of a date, if you don’t mind,” Dan hissed
“And I’m talking, if you don’t mind,” The timelord practically growled “Something’s come through on the channel and I think I’ve found something interesting and you need to be safe,” He extended his hand out to you. You smiled and grabbed it. “I think I need to go then I’m afraid,” You said to Dan before the Doctor pulled you out of the restaurant and you ran hand in hand through the freezing London streets. You turned a corner and stopped abruptly out of breath quietly giggling to each other.  There was a brief moment where your faces edged closer but you assumed that was just the adrenaline.  You felt a brief scratch on your shoulder, you had barely turned around when the Doctor shouted at you to duck, you did, the claw swinging narrowly over your head as the Doctor staggered back pulling you with him, the claw narrowly missing you both. He Stood up quickly, acting as a shield between the thing and you.
“I knew it was you in the restaurant, I’ve dealt with your kind before, from Clom I believe, the energy signatures coming off you are unique,” The Doctor analysed. You finally saw it in the dim amber glow, it was a thing round with various faces sticking out at odd angles, you cursed loudly. One of them you recognized as Dan, he was speaking, mumbling vague panicked apologies.
“Why are you here? We’ve done this before, look you can’t harvest my memories, even if you want to,” He frowned, a switch seemingly flicked inside of the Doctor he was the version in the restaurant again “To try to take my memories is one thing, to come into my friends home and lie to them is another, to try to kill the person I am in love with is too far,” there was a cracking noise, a watch had broken and the thing seemed to liquify a little
“I swiped this from the restaurant, when you were busy objectifying her, better to keep track of these things don’t you think,” His voice was low and cold, the noise of the sonic buzzed loudly before the thing melted into the pavement, vanishing. The Doctor paused for a moment examining the pavement and slicking back his hair, the oncoming storm had settled once again.
He turned to you warmth returning to his eyes and face “Are you ok? Anything broken? Anything missing?”
“No, no I’m good i think, what the hell was that thing?” You asked shock very clearly still in your system
“Abzorbaloff, nasty things, absorb people and gain their memories. And I think that’s what he was planning with you if the date had gone slightly better,” He pressed his hand to your cheek in a further attempt to calm you down, a slight chuckle in his voice “At least this time I won’t have to make a paving slab with a face. C’mon back to the TARDIS,” He wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead, whilst you contemplated his words, dizzy with adrenaline. There was a moment of silence, before you were able to take your first cautious step with wobbly legs, “There we go, see, c’mon (L/N),” you slipped slightly again and he caught you in his arms, the amber glow above his head illuminating him like an angel. He paused and laughed awkwardly, wrapping his around your waist and giving you time to steady yourself, his arm stayed there as you wandered back to the TARDIS shaking.
At some point during the slow and shaky walk back, you asked him “What happened to Dan then could we have saved him?”
“No we couldn't, he was echoes of what was left. His body was gone, he wouldn’t have lived a proper life, I can’t save everyone all the time, I’m sorry,” He frowned in the way the Doctor usually did, one that was world weary that seemed like it held back the weight of a thousand unsaid words
“I didn’t really know him, I feel bad. I know I couldn’t have prevented it, but I still feel awful,” You confessed
“You couldn’t have helped it, if it wasn’t you, it would have been someone else and I might not have been able to save them, at least I could save you,” There was a silence, and that followed and it wasn’t an uncomfortable one.
You walked past the TARDIS allowing yourself some more time to calm down, at the Doctor’s suggestion. The Park was abandoned at this time. You had wandered into it together. You found a little stream and a small bridge and leant against it. The cold nipped at you and you shivered quietly against the railings. Silently the Doctor noticed and slipped his jacket off and gently wrapped it around you. It was warmer than you expected it to be and it felt oversized and heavy on you.
“Are we going to talk about it?” You said suddenly breaking the silence, turning slightly and matching a similar pose to his.
“What?” He mumbled in the response his words getting lost in the dark
“Everything. What you said earlier, in the alleyway ‘the person I love’, the fact you give daggers to any male that isn’t Rory getting anywhere near me, and the fact that Amy and Rory make it so painfully obvious,”  You said having quietly had enough “And the fact it feels like anytime we get anywhere closer to figuring out what the hell we’re doing something gets in the way or you run away and can’t cope with it,”
“I didn’t realise you’d noticed, and I didn’t know you were getting over someone, Amy had mentioned it to me earlier,” He whispered, his voice quiet, not wishing to do any more harm.
You inhaled sharply, and rubbed your hand slowly down your face whilst you carefully considered your next sentences, “That wasn’t her place to tell you that, I told her that in confidence.” You sighed “Of course I had noticed, it’s about as obvious as that bowtie is stupid. It was you, that person. And I knew regardless of what I had noticed and what you were thinking or doing, it would take ages before you admitted it yourself, nevermind me. I couldn’t keep pretending for my sake,”
The Doctor opened his mouth to speak, and closed it, he considered everything for a brief second.
“Exactly, when you fall in love with a scared god it is not easy and I’ve learnt that.” You frowned “I don’t want to hear it. Let’s go back to the TARDIS,” you stood up straight
“What if I’ve fallen in love with you?” He responded
“Then, I guess I’ve fallen in love with you too,” You replied. There was another pause. A loud silence. You made eye contact, and you kissed. It was cautious and careful, neither of you willing to push it in case the other would regret their actions. The cold air brushed your faces, and you pulled away quietly.  He extended his hand to you, you took it gently and went back to the ship together, smiling like idiots.

Crimson Roses
A/N: This is based on a dream I had. No matter how hard we try some things just won't make sense. Feel free to ask questions about me, the dream, or the book. constructive criticism is always welcome as well as tips and ideas!
Here is a little key you might need before you start!
Y/N - Your name
S/N - Little Sisters Name(If you are an only child make one up!)
H/C - Your Hair Color
Tumblr media
Summary: You make a last minute decision to let your sister go alone to a summer camp. After a week of no contact from her you decide to go on a rescue missing and bring your sister home.
Warnings Of The Chapter: Anxiety
~
Three pale figures: One with green hair, one with blonde, and the last with red and white stand in a darkly lit room talking about something in hushed voices. As if they are afraid that the wind will carry their words somewhere they do not want them to be.
“So she's supposed to be coming, right?” Green curls bounce against each other as a head tilts to the side giving the peppermint haired one a questioning glance, accusing him of a lie he has not yet told.
“Of course you damn nerd!” Spikey blond hair is thrown in front of the green-haired figure and yells.
Emerald eyes roll in their sockets, a sigh soon following, more sassy than angry, “Shut up Kacchan…”
“Stop arguing and don’t worry, she's supposed to arrive at some point this evening.” The one that had kept his silence up until now finally speaks his mind. His voice was smooth and quiet, he doesn’t seem to be a very expressive person.
“Are you absolutely sure? There’s no possible way something could keep her from being here? We need her, you know. If something keeps her from coming we can’t waste time we need her…to live. We might not be able to keep ourselves together if she arrives too late. We would be too hung-” His rant of worries and woes is cut short by someone else.
“Just, shut up already!” Kacchan takes a threatening step towards the greenette with furrowed brows which seems to effectively quiet him.
“What did I just say, Bakugou?” The calmer figure scolded.
“Whatever half and half!” ‘Kacchan’, now known as Bakugou, screamed at him.
The figure with green hair spoke in a monotone voice, “Todoroki, are you positive she's coming?”
“Yes Midoriya, I am as certain as ever,” Todoroki states as if it’s set in stone.
It might as well be with all of the thought and effort they put into this.
---
H/C hairs wisp around under the gust of the cool air coming from the air conditioning system of the airport. A girl looks out upon a sea of small heads, all of them hugging and saying their goodbyes to their mothers and families. That is if they happen to be lucky enough to have them all there. The pace of her heartbeat quickens as she starts to realize she would be the only one her age going to this camp. The feeling of her heartbeat trying to beat out of her chest isn't new to her. She's felt like that a lot lately, not to mention having anxiety doesn't help either.
Tears spring to her eyes and she turns around to cling to her mother in one last goodbye. Something about this summer camp seems wrong, the whole thing gives her the creeps. She can't tell if she's being rational, though she's never liked being in an unfamiliar place for more than a night or two, this is meant to last all summer. Not to mention that this is Japan that she would be going to. It's not like she could just drive home.
She feels tears spring into her eyes, but before she starts to cry in front of the entire plane she pulls away. She holds onto the sleeve of her mother's arm, and with a quivering voice she speaks, “I don't want to go anymore!” An unstable breath trails behind the words that leave her lips. It feels like a weight has been lifted from her with just a simple sentence.
Her mother simply looks at her for a moment, and for that short time, she is afraid of what her mom will say. She's always been quick to call out her daughter when she's being irrational or dumb, even when she isn't. Though, this time, it seems as though she understands the girl. “But you were so excited. Did something happen?” She was questioning her. Of course, she was questioning her but her voice was softer than it usually would be, maybe she sensed how uncomfortable her child was.
Y/N shakes her head, “No. I don't know what it is. I just don't think I should go.”
Her mother is confused, but at least she's trying to understand. “I won't make you go,” She said,” but what about S/N? Won't she be on her own?” The woman’s eyes flicker over to a small girl, barely eleven, with long brown hair sitting in one of the chairs, waiting for the flight. She had already said her goodbyes.
She feels heavy guilt again for leaving her sister alone. “She'll be alright…She's a little social butterfly compared to me. She'll make friends, I'm sure of that. She has her phone, she'll be able to call us if she needs to. If she doesn't I'll be sure to kick her butt when she gets back.” She softly smiles at her last statement. She had always been very passive-aggressive towards her little sister but would claim to fight anyone who would dare be even half as mean as she was to the girl. She cared about her a lot.
Her mom smiles too, giving a nod. Something still doesn't sit right with her when she thinks about the fact that she's letting her sister go alone. Especially when she suckered her way out of things because she has a bad feeling. Her sister is strong though, she has faith that she'll be alright.
She lets out an emotionally frustrated puff of air, some of her immediate distress and anxiety leaving her. At least it does for the moment. At least she wouldn't be the only eighteen-year-old on the trip anymore. She would have been the oldest going by far.
She looks at her mom again, letting go of her sleeve now, “I'm gonna go let S/N know I won't be joining her…” It takes a second of bracing herself before she walks over to her sister, seating herself in the chair next to her. “Hey…”
S/N looks up at her, “Hey??” She was puzzled, that is obvious enough. Probably because Y/N is speaking to her instead of waiting with their mom until the absolute last minute as she does at any social event. “Is there something wrong?”
She shakes her head, “No, not really…I'm not gonna be able to come with you though…I'm not feeling too great about all this.”
For some reason, whatever it is, S/N doesn't seem surprised at all. “Oh…Alright. Is there a particular reason?”
She shakes her head again, there wasn't, at least not that she could figure out.
Their conversation was cut short by the echoing ding from the speakers above them, “Flight number N571A now ready for boarding.”
The two give brief comforting smiles to each other as S/N stands, grabbing her carry on bag, and walks away into the never to be a straight line of other passengers. Her worries remain ever-present in her mind, she tries to ignore them for now burry them away, and be happy for her sister. She is happy for her, just worried.
She must be sitting there for a while watching the line because the next thing she knows, her mom is placing a hand on her shoulder, and motioning for her to get up. Calming circles are rubbed into her back as her mom seems to sense her nerves still. She knows her mom must feel nervous as well, she's never liked crowds at all.
The two wait until they are sure S/N had to have gotten on the plane safely. Her mom's voice, calm, but not comforting as it was before rings out to break the comfortable silence between the two, “Ready to go?”
Y/N nods before standing, sticking close to her mom as she starts to guide her away. The children had been told that they wouldn't need more than a carry on bag, everything that they couldn't fit would be provided for them. She didn't need to worry about needing to retrieve a suitcase thanks to that. Her mom would have made her go if losing her luggage was a part of backing out. As they walk she starts to notice how unnaturally dark the airport seems to be. She writes off though, it's probably just her imagination.
She exits the building right behind her mom thanks to the automatic doors, they hadn't had to go through security twice thank god. That was a relief at least. She covers her eyes from the burning bright sun of early morning as the pair make their way to the parking garage in which they had parked. The only reason Y/N was even awake at this time was due to the early hour of the flight. She could sleep till noon and beyond if given the chance.
The garage was close and luckily they had been on the lowest floor. No one was really up this early. Neither she nor her mom says a word as they hop in the car. It's a silence they're used to. Y/N plugs her white earbuds into her phone, opening Spotify. Not wanting to listen to anything specific she chooses to listen to her liked songs playlist. She knew full well she was going to try and fall asleep during the drive anyways so what she listened to didn't matter as long as it wasn't screaming in her ear.
She reflects a little as she tries to fall asleep. Her mom letting her come home like this isn't normal. She thought she would have to put up a fight. Especially since travel isn't cheap, though, Y/N has a close friend whose mom was able to get them deals on their tickets. Maybe that's why she didn't complain about the cost.
She hums deciding that was enough overthinking for now.
---
The week passes by slowly. Much slower what she ever would have imagined. The bad feelings she had stuffed away about the flight grew. They festered inside of her since the very first day.
Two days passed without contact from her sister. She and her mom sat in the living room eating their dinner. Her dad was at work, he worked nights frequently ever since she was little. Thankfully he gets to choose his schedule.
Y/N scrolls through Tiktok on her phone, checking her messages every few minutes. Her mom is watching some dumb movie on the hallmark channel. She's praying she gets a message from S/N soon. It's been two days of silence since she left. That isn't normal, not for S/N.
Maybe she doesn't get service where she's at but there should be wifi. It doesn't make sense for her to just not answer.
Y/N knows her mom is worried by now too, S/N usually messages her first and she hasn't done that either. She hasn't shown any nerves though.
---
By the third day, Y/N has panicked. She called her friend and asked her to get another deal on tickets. She hadn't seemed too surprised. After she had made sure the tickets were taken care of and that she would have a flight-ready she started to pack. She didn't plan to stay for long so she didn't pack much other than necessities. She stuffed it with anything else that she could.
She was going to bring S/N home with her. That's the plan, she should have made her stay back with her in the first place but she would have felt bad if she did.
One week after the original departure she found herself driving back to the airport. She was alone this time, her mom hadn't been able to take another day off of work and her dad was asleep from his late night. Her phone was connected to the stereo of the car instead of her earbuds, which were tucked away into her carry on bag. She let her liked songs playlist play again, she couldn’t pick and choose now as it would be too risky to do while she's driving. She didn't want to wreck the only car she has, not to mention how angry her parents would be with her.
It takes around an hour for her to get to the airport. She parks at the same garage her mom had parked in one of the upper floors this time. Her flight wasn't as early as it was last time so the bottom-most floors were filled. She disconnected her phone from the car before turning the key and taking it out.
The trunk pops open with the click of a button. She drags the suitcase with her items out of the car, throwing her carry on over her shoulder. She reaches up, pulling the trunk shut. There's a moment of her fumbling around with her keys before she locks the car.
It took an unusually long time to pass security, granted everything was taking unusually long this week. It takes her a good while to find the desk to check in her bags, the process itself was a normal time. She walks and wanders, making sure she knows where her boarding area is beforehand. She was looking through a nearby store when the echoing ding from before rings out again, “Flight N295EV ready to board.”

Garvez Moments Part 11
Chapter 11: Hurricane Andrew
“Where is Luke?!” asked Penelope in between contractions “he promised to be here when our baby arrives”
“He’s still in Florida” said Max “there’s a hurricane”
24 hours earlier
“Ok I will order the food while you pick the movie” said Penelope from the couch and with a big baby bump. Her doctor was worry because she developed a high risk pregnancy so the last month will be at home.
Luke took care of her as much as he could due to his job, and when he cannot, Max and her sisters helped. The art teacher and now member of the Smithsonian’s team had more free times than Luke or Spencer so she was there for the former TA of the BAU.
But this last week Luke asked for a few days off to watch over her. And now they will have a relaxing Tuesday afternoon.
“Sounds perfect, I think I will pick a nice movie so Andrew learn what he should be watching”
Penelope rolled her eyes “you mean Richard? Because that will be his name” they decided to know the gender of their baby so they could have the perfect bedroom for him or her.
They gave the letter to Dave and Krystal so they organized the baby shower and let them know. When the blue cupcake was revealing… the battle began.
Penelope wanted her dad’s name and Luke wanted his, so when they talked about the baby, they used the name they wanted and that started fights between them.
“Whatever… I will find the perfect movie” Luke said irritated but did not want to continue because it might put him and his beloved wife in a fight.
Penelope ordered their favorite Thai food, they had been together for a year and a half and he learned to love her food choices and she still has struggles with his, because of the meat products but respect him.
His phone started to ring “oh hell no… I told Emily I will be busy with you and I can’t answer”
“Babe… your job needs you and I’m sure a poor woman is in need because a horrible man is hurting her”
He sighed but answered “hey Emily”
“Oh hey Luke… I’m soo sorry, I know you asked me for a few days off and I know Penelope needs to be in bed for the rest of the ninth month but I really need you here”
“Why? You have JJ, Spencer, Dave, Tara and Matt”
“Actually Matt is sick and JJ sons are sick and Will is in New Orleans” he sighed “and Tara is visiting her father… So I will need you”
“Ok I will be there in a few minutes” he said and hung up “I will ask Max if she can come here while I’m out”
“It’s ok honey. I will call her while you are getting ready” he nodded and kissed his cheek then she got out her phone and call Spencer’s wife. They talked for a while. And Max accepted to be there in ten minutes.
When Luke was ready, he walked out of their room “did you talk to Max?”
“Yes, she accepted to come. It will take her some minutes to be here so you can go to catch the bad boys” she smiled at him “Call me please” he nodded and leaned in to kiss her.
“I love you”
“I love you too” he smiled and left the house.
Present day
“A hurricane?!” almost screamed Penelope “I shouldn’t let him go!” she said a little frustrated.
“I know the feeling, I’m worry about Spence too but we have to wait” said Max holding her hand “trust him, he will be here as soon as he can”
15 hours earlier
“Ok so the unsub is killing black men?” Luke asked and the policeman nodded,
“They are all in good shape and they are young, maybe in their 20s or 30s” commented him “according to the forensic doctor he killed this men with a knife”
“And when did this start?” asked Spencer.
“Two weeks ago”
Spencer’s brain started to work; if you paid close attention to the boy genius you could see and hear it working. He looked at his coworker and the policeman “the hurricane started two weeks ago according to the weather channel”
Luke started to realize what his partner meant “you think this man is doing this because of the hurricanes?”
“In the past the Aztecs, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Incas thought that there was a god that can control weather. So to ask for their good will they used sacrifices to please him. Maybe this man thinks he’s doing the same”
“Maybe it’s time to give the profile” he said looking at the dead man in front of them.
They said that the unsub could be a man in his 20s or 30s, he could be in good shape and very athletic like his victims. He could have polytheistic cultures knowledge and think he is saving Florida because of the sacrifices he is doing. When he realized that they are not working, he will scale and kill more people. They had to stop him sooner.
Present day.
JJ arrived at the hospital, they gave Penelope a room and they are waiting for her time to give birth. She found Max outside with her phone.
“Hey Max, thankfully Will arrived and I could come here” she said to her “where are my godson and goddaughter?”
She smiled “with their grandfather and aunt. They accepted to watch them while I was with Penelope. But now im worry. Spencer doesn’t answer and neither does Emily nor Luke”
“I called Ashley, you know the new TA and she said they were having trouble with their phones due to the hurricane but thankfully they capture the bad guy so they are waiting for the hurricane to move away so they can return”
“Oh thank God…” said the brunette smiling “how are Henry and Michael?”
“Better… they had a cold but I always am worry with Michael especially since Henry had a convulsion when he was about Michael age”
“Oh my… but I’m happy they are better” the blonde smiled.
“I will go see Penelope, you see if you can call Ashley to ask her for them” she nodded and JJ left to talk to her female best friend.
5 hours earlier
The hurricane was getting worse and the unsub had his last victim, this time he captured a woman, younger and beautiful “I’m sure this time the gods will forgive us! I was wrong about using men” he had a crazy look in his eyes.
Before he moved his knife to her throat the team arrived. Spencer was next to Luke holding his gun. He could not help but went to the field to help. He looked at the knife; it was clearly a sacrificial one.
“Back off! I have to save us with this sacrifice!” said him holding the knife.
“Enrique Diaz, I can’t let you kill this woman, it won’t stop the storm” said Spencer with a calm voice “she isn’t the solution”
“How do you know?”
Spencer thought quickly “Because I saw a prophecy” he said putting down the gun, playing along with the unsub “the storm will stop in 6 hours…”
“Because that’s the time a soul takes to arrive to the gods’ palace”
“No, this woman will take longer because she isn’t as pure as you think” he looked at the scared woman, she was confused but decided to remain silence “if you stop killing it will prove them you are committed to let them do their judgement”
“Their judgement?” Spencer nodded “so they won’t stop…”
“No” the man had some tears and dropped the knife. Luke immediately ran to capture the man and spencer helped the victim.
Dave and Emily were at the other door as backup if the killer got crazy.
The rest of the time they stayed at the hotel waiting for the hurricane to past that part of the city.
When it happened the team was able to fly back to Washington DC as fast as the plane could. After the plane touched the land they all left to the hospital just in time to see Luke find out his son was about to arrive into this world.
The nervousness started to run thru his veins. Will be him a good father? Will he be a good support for his wife and son?
“babe you are here” said Penelope after he walked in and sat next to her.
“Yes… I’m sorry chica… a hurricane didn’t let me to be here earlier” he said with a smile “I wish it didn’t happen so I can be here with you”
“its ok my love” she kissed him softly then the doctor started to order her to push. The all peace and love Penelope disappeared and the angry and aggressive one started to treat him to dead for leaving her almost 7 hours in labor while he was in Florida.
Luke knew this was not his chica so he ignored it, she calmed and asked for forgiveness, she was just in so much pain.
A new contraction started and the aggressive woman reappeared “New guy!! You ruined my life… I won’t have another kid with you!”
“You are doing good Penelope. One more and your baby will be here” the doctor said. The couple nodded.
A few seconds later Penelope pushed one more time and they could hear a new kind of cry, the cry of a new person in the world, the cry of their baby boy.
The nurse cleaned him and covered him with a blanked. Then they checked his weight and size.
“You did it great chica, I’m very proud of you” he kissed her forehead.
“Thank you for be here and for helping me with this” she smiled and kissed his cheek then the nurse arrived with the baby.
“Here’s your baby, does he have a name?”
They nodded and when Luke was about to talk Penelope did it first “Andrew Ricardo Alvez Garcia” she smiled and looked at the nurse who smiled and left.
“Andrew? I thought you wanted a different name”
“Yes but you sacrificed a day off to work and you are our hero so that’s your price for doing the right thing, even if that means you weren’t around for a day”
He had some tears and but smiled “I received a lot of recognitions but this is the best I ever get” he kissed his son head “hey buddy. Daddy is here” he smiled big and enjoy his time with his family.
After some more minutes he walked out of the room, all the team and some member of their families were there.
“A new baby boy joined the BAU family. Andrew Ricardo Alvez Garcia” they all smiled and hugged the new father. Kristin handed him a present for the baby and so did the rest of the team.
“You know what is curious?” said Spencer to him “I just heard that the storm we were in its path a few hours ago was named Andrew as well”
“Well my son will be a hurricane then” he laughed and hugged the family he made in the last few years. The members of the BAU were his family in DC.
OOooOOooOO
I hope you liked it. I wasn’t sure what to do exactly for this baby, I had the idea of the hurricane but didn’t want to repeat a case like the one where the unsub was building a body.
This idea of the “old gods” came to me as I was writing; I hope it’s a good M.O. and a “good” reason to kill during a hurricane.
Suggestions are open. Also my stories post season 15 are connected so in this interconnected world The Worst Third Date Ever, Our Most Wanted Date, Double dates and this one are connected and details of Maxcer and the new TA are in the first story, and the evolution of Garvez are in the rest of the stories.

I can't sleep so I'm gonna ramble for a minute here about. uh. 2020 i guess lol everyone else is so might as well jump on the bandwagon.
Be aware this is really really fucking long so it's a commitment to read it lmao sorry i just cannot sleep and i guess i had more on my mind about this year than i thought. I also did not proofread this at all. I just started writing and didn't look back lol
This year was... Weird for me. It started out with me feeling my best in January, comfortable and positive as I did my nth playthrough of DBH with friends and finally having enough alts of my boy Alfonse in FEH to have a team of Just him to fight with. (Priorities, right?) February hit, and things were still going good. I met Ray Chase and had him sign a print I did of Roy and Alfonse in some casual outfits for a scrapped au I wrote years ago. (And I gave him one 😊). Hell, like, covid was just coming around when me and my friends went to the con that weekend and a breakout of it hit the city just south of where the con was like a week before, but I was genuinely so excited for it that like I was like "Yeah, if i die, i die. Whatever happens happens." God, at this point, the Alfonse gc I was in was still alive and I still didn't talk to anyone in the group outside of that gc. Lowkey miss it tbh. But oh well. Things move on.
But that con was like... Stressful. I usually have fair amounts of stress at cons, being around so many people, I fear theft, unwanted contact, y'know, the standard; but my friend group was so filled with tension that it was absolutely painful. We'd been split most of the weekend, and if the two groups came together, it was hell, because it just caused unwanted arguments. I felt really bad cause I didn't want them to be upset, yknow? But i also wanted to hang out with my friends all at once. So i swapped between the groups a bit over the weekend. And blew WAY more money than I should have and lowkey it kind of fucked me over for the rest of the year cause I haven't had a job all year outside of, like, a local church job that pays at a rare max of $100 a month ;w;
I'd been struggling in school the previous semester already, about halfway through having just stopped going to classes altogether, yet still somehow managed to pass everything with B's and A's. The next semester rolled around, and I thought at first the distraction and inability to do anything was because of the con, and as it persisted after, I thought it was just post-con depression. But, as it turned out, no, it's just been my biggest relapse of depression since the end of high school, and frankly, it's only gotten worse since. I can't sleep rn because I'm between not wanting to do anything because I have a lack of emotions and motivation and not feeling deserving of sleep lol. I checked out of school on February 28th, however, I was convinced I was merely demotivated by my surroundings -- at this point, I was studying Japanese, and one of my friends at the time was a (although probably unintentionally) complete braggart about how much he was studying and how he was improving... not to mention he was textbook example of "This is an Actual Weeaboo, don't Fucking Do this." (One of many reasons i said friend at the time lol) it was just... So draining being around him, and I had to see him in class every day of the week. I barely scraped together assignments last-minute and never studied under the idea of "What does it matter if I'm not putting in my 100%?" So I checked out, with plans of transferring for the following semester.
Well, then March hit. Y'all know how March went down lmao.
I pretty much locked myself in my room at all times during March, going between Animal Crossing and BOTW (which actually racked up like 200ish hours i think according to the nintendo year in review i had lmao). I started making a bit closer online friends at this point, notably @levitumbling who decided to take me in as his channel designer for YouTube and I've been ever since! But. Of course. My first task? A Sans meme. My payment? One Switch copy of Undertale because he considered it a disgrace that I'd never played the game before.
Now, let me tell you. I was fuckin scared to play this game. I held onto it for weeks between the fear of "My friend bought me this and i should play this" and "I told myself I'd never touch this game with a 20 mile pole because of how much it's been shoved down my throat over the years." So, one day, I don't remember when, early April, I said, fuck it, I'll play it for a little bit, just enough to say "hey i played it for a bit!" and then never go back.
The only thing that stopped me from beating the whole thing in one sitting was it was the crack of dawn when I passed out, extremely tired and extremely frustrated by the fact I couldn't beat Muffet. Yes, I got that far in one sitting I intended to play for 15 minutes tops.
Now. Let me fuckin tell you. About my first playthrough of Undertale. I haven't gone into a game knowing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it like... I think ever. Usually I know what style of game it is, the genre, the main plot premise. I knew nothing other than the existence of Sans (and, as it turned out, I'd heard some of the soundtrack pieces before, notably Bonetrousle I heard this cover of it in a radio livestream a while back and never really looked it up, but was always excited when the radio looped back around to it being on; and I'd heard Dating Start! because that's Alpharad's go-to sponsorship ost lmao.) But anyway. I was completely in the dark. Do yall mind if i just go through some highlights of my favorite memories? This is supposed to be a summary of the year but I mean, I think this made a big enough impact on me to really like. Discuss it a bit.
I watched the whole opening cutscene, started a new game under my old screenname, "Yoru," since in naming the "Fallen Child," I assumed they were dead. Well, I was a little surprised to just be that child, alive, two seconds later, but whatever, I rolled with it.
I genuinely trusted Flowey right away. Like no shit. He told me run into the "friendliness pellets" and I didn't even fucking question it. And when Toriel came in? And she said to follow her? I straight up was like "Why the hell should I trust you?? That guy just tried to kill me what says you wont?" I followed only because the game made me but i was Wary the whole time. It took me a LONG time to warm up to Toriel.
Now. Let me tell you how stupid I am as well. The game says over and over right, "Don't fight. Spare. Have Mercy when names are Yellow." Well, I took this literally. I didn't understand the Act mechanic most of the time, and when something didn't work I just said, fuck it, and fought them. If their name didn't turn yellow, I just fought them. "They don't want Mercy if their name isn't yellow, right?" After a while, I'd started getting bored of fighting and would just run away, but like, I came to a point where I was like "I have a really low level, I'm really going to regret this later on if I don't grind for a while."
I don't know when I stopped but. I think I was only one or two kills away from a genocide run accidentally my first playthrough, based on how I think I was LV 3 and looking at genocide playthroughs, you're LV 3 or 4 when you fight Toriel. Like. Holy fuck. I can't imagine what I would have thought of this game if that happened lmao.
Speaking of Toriel, still didn't trust her, at all. When we got to Home, and after I did Every Single different phrase she says when you go downstairs before you talk to her reading about snails; I did not Hesitate to ask "cool uh when the fuck can I leave?" When we got to the Ruins exit I was like, ah, here it is. The betrayal from her I was expecting, where she tries to kill me. Well, nothing on the Act menu worked, right? So... I fought and killed her. I didn't really care, actually. I just kept going.
Then meeting Sans and Papyrus happened. I lost my fucking shit at this part, mostly when they were talking, because every time Sans made a pun it would zoom in on him and do a rimshot. The puns were not funny and I was definitely on Pap's side of "oh my GOD shut up." But that fucking zoom in and rimshot was just so fourth wall breaking and unexpected. Fuck, it still gets me. Anyway. Game continues. I again lose my shit at (insane spinning in random directions) "OH MY GOD! IS THAT A HUMAN?" "uh, i think that's a rock." "OH. WAIT! WHAT'S THAT IN FRONT OF THE ROCK?? (IS IT A HUMAN??)" "(yes.)" "OH MY GOD!!!" and still think these two moments in the game are Peak comedy. Oh, and let me tell you, I did not like either of these two at this point. Sans I was like, okay, hes kind of a dumbass in a funny way, but Papyrus is a dumbass in a way that just annoys me. Genuinely the archetype that misses social cues and therefore has miscommunication usually just annoys me to no end. (Mostly for the miscommunication. It's my least favorite trope and makes me unreasonably angry.) But yeah. Wasn't really a fan. But out of everyone so far? Definitely found Sans to be the most tolerable. But that's about all I thought of him lmao.
Getting to Snowdin, with the Papyrus battle, remember how I said I didn't like Papyrus? And yes, this was something I genuinely thought at one point, I genuinely hated Papyrus, imagine that. What a wild world that is. But anyway. You know how his Act menu has the "Flirt" option? I, for no reason, gunned it for the Flirt option, even though I did not want to. Then when he was like "WE'LL GO ON A DATE! LATER!!" i was like yea sure okay lmao. Again, couldn't figure out the Act menu to turn his name yellow, so I fought him, and he was one or two attacks from dying (miraculously) when he ended the battle. I spared him here cause, well, he spared me, it was only fair. Then this guy again is like "ILL BE AT MY HOUSE WHEN YOU WANT TO GO ON THAT DATE!" and i was like haha funny but still turned around to go on the date. Like why? I have no idea. I think I was more like "haha hes probably not gonna be there and its just cause i picked that option and lo and behold there was an actual fucking date. Oh my god. I have never in my life been on a video game date where one party was convinced I was infatuated with them and im here on the other side of the screen like "oh my god make this end i can't stand being around you.???" But still. The date was. Really fucking funny. I wish I could experience it for the first time again like holy shit. There are few playthroughs I did after this where I didn't go on the Pap date, even if I just spedrun through it.
So then you get to Waterfall and Sans is there like "hey wanna go to grillbys" and i was like sure why not so we go there and my choices were fries & ketchup (so i did not get the legendary scene where he chugged a bottle of ketchup, but i sure did my second playthrough, and let me tell you, i was disgusted). But like. This whole experience at grillby's like, the whoopee cushion, him using a comb on his bald ass skull, him just fuckin unapologetically scratching his ass for no reason?? Bro i was like "why the fuck is this guy part of the Tumblr Sexymen™ group ??? He's so ????? Gross???????" and like i still have this question tbh lmao. But like. Okay so he asks you "what do you think of my bro?" And my genuine answer was "uncool" and he was like "hey man sarcasm isnt funny" and can i just mention how like inheritly manipulative sans actually is like fuck he does things like this where he throws your answer the other way a few times and Every time it actually swayed me the other way. Because right here I went. "Oh. Maybe Papyrus is better than I thought." Like holy fuck maybe i should be more aware if something like that can sway my opinion so easily LMAO.
Anyway waterfall i genuinely was very bored of the whole time. I spent like a genuine 20 minutes figuring out the puzzle where you have to talk to a wall and I actually didn't realize you could move the telescope around. What helped me solve it is my friend's advice before I played it. "Inspect everything. Even talk to walls. Trust me." And literally thats how I solved it. But pretty much everything in Waterfall otherwise bored me. I did think it was pretty though, and did enjoy reading the lore, but when it started talking about monster biology my one fear had been realized: oh god, oh fuck. My original species for my own series also has physical Souls and die by turning to dust because they're made entirely of magic. God fuck. My luck, it has to be something popular, so now everyone's gonna think I'm a ripoff. But, at the same time, I do think it helped me understand monster biology (and it helped me come up with the ULR biology) better, because I've put in a lot of thought to existence of a species that exists only by magic and a Soul (which, mine only actually have half a Soul, as a full Soul makes a being immortal, which was also similar to the boss monsters in a way). It definitely made a lot more sense for like, the skeletons n stuff for me, because like my characters are wholly shapeshifters but usually take human form, and while they have "organs" in the places humans would have them, they don't operate. They're just placeholders, because they just live with their Soul. So I've always thought the same with UT monsters, since the skelebros can live without organs, that means so do the rest of the monsters, even if they have animal-like appearances.
Off topic lmao. Back to UT. So, the Undyne fight was kind of the turning point for me. She was pissing me off so much during this whole game and like I was like "if theres another fucking part where I have to run away from her im going to scream." Well, once again, her name wasn't yellow, so I wasn't going to spare her... and, actively, I made the decision to kill her, because I didn't want to deal with her still chasing me later on in the game. It took me a long time to beat her, and when I did, I texted my friend (@cheshiregrinnbuttoneyes ) in excitment like "YES I FINALLY KILLED UNDYNE" and she texted back like "YOU DID WHAT?????" and i was like "i.... Killed Undyne????" she replies, "YOU DONT HAVE TO OMFG WHY" and im like "I DIDN'T HAVE TO?? THERE'S OTHER OPTIONS?????" and shes like "YES OMFG THAT'S LITERALLY THE PREMISE OF THE GAME" and im "WHAT."
So then. I get that call from Papyrus like. "HEY! YOU ME AND UNDYNE SHOULD HANG OUT SOMETIME!"
oh my god the guilt i felt.
alphys on undernet being like "omfg i forgot to watch undyne fight the human. ah ill ask her about it later she never loses <3"
bro. i nearly fuckin cried. i was like. Not to mention I'd gotten the crush question right for Mettaton's quiz in answering Undyne (bc i was like "plz be gay plz be gay") so it fucking cut like a knife what I'd done.
I don't remember when I let myself get passed it. But I do know that the whole story arc between Alphys and Mettaton went way over my head. Like, i know im probs the minority on this, but I adore Alphys, I have since I first met her in game, and like, when Mettaton was like "ALPHYS HAS BEEN LYING TO YOU!" i just went "...nah."
Also, I didnt like mettaton at this point, cause I thought he was being really obnoxious, and then the turn around to betray Alphys really kinda pissed me off.
But like.
Oh my god.
Remember how I said I swapped my opinion on Pap earlier bc of Sans's comment? Yeah that was a pretty fast turnaround, but it still took me a few times.
But the second i saw mettaton ex
I was like
"HIM. HE. HE'S THE ONE I LOVE."
Like, full turnaround from Undyne, I actively refused to kill him. All times I thought he was an asshole? Forgotten. Me thinking he's a selfish prick? Gone. Nada. Nothing. Pure adoration. Suddenly every flaw he had was pushed aside purely from how hot I thought he was. Also, fuckin, im really glad i played this when no one in my house was awake, because I still didn't understand the Act mechanic here, and every time you attack mettaton he has this like moan he does and im like oh my god. stop. omfg.
At the end, too, when there was the calls and everything, when he had his big turnaround, I was just so happy for him I genuinely cried. Also, I had to do his battle probably the most out of everyone's in the game (not including genocide), so when it came around to his battle during the (glitchless) speedruns i did, i was more invested in how fast I could rack up points, cause you need 10k rating points to pass, and I actually did get that before he lost his legs, but apparently he needed to lose those too before you passed lol. Unfortunate.
Anyway after Alphys talked to you and everything, i genuinely went to see if Mettaton was still there, but he wasn't :( so i just went to New Home. I was very ill prepared for the fight against Asgore and the only reason I struggled with it so much was because my only healing items were like. Something that healed like 10 or 12 hp and the snowman piece. I was LV 9 when i finished the game, so like, my HP was pretty high, but i didnt have the G to buy items, so i was pretty much fucked. Yes. I had to eat the snowman to win.
Oh speaking of terrifying shit though. Photoshop flowey? My god. I haven't been afraid of a video game boss so much since I was a little kid. It was like 3 am and i was not prepared for him to just delete my save file and then kill me on repeat, glitching and breaking everything as he pleased. Bruh i was genuinely scared. Like, not even just, "oh yikes :(" or something. Like, crying scared. Lmao im an emotional bitch by nature.
I of course had to restart from the beginning again to get the True Pacifist ending. I was very careful to never touch the Fight button literally ever. And, it actually took me a while to reset, because I hate erasing my original save files, yknow? But, well, as it turned out? While technically New Game+ by naming, resetting doesn't erase everything you did. It wasn't a new file. I was a little confused at first to be honest. Toriel saying things were familiar, remembering things I said, Papyrus and Undyne both recognizing me, like. It was unnerving.
When I got to the end, i had to look up how to get Alphys's date (since my friend told me the way to unlock TP was to go on all the dates, but Alphys's was definitely designed in mind of you turning around from New Home and going back to talk to people rather than a new reset. So after unlocking it, getting through Alphys's date (i still remember being like, verbally, "omg alphys you look so nice??" When she came out with the dress on and then had a thought to myself like... since when do i care about what people look like? since when do i compliment people? At that point, while I didn't consider myself to be a rude person, I definitely wasn't exactly all that concerned about others for anything. Sure, I cared about others' lives, but I tended to be a bit more judgemental internally, and just. Didn't really give a fuck about what people did in the most negative sense possible, unless it involved me. Yet, it rolled off my tongue like it was something id say normally to anyone. I really wonder if this is the true turning point for me this year.)
Getting to the end, with everyone cheering me on. Hoo boy. This was the start of many tears to come. Papyrus's "DO WHAT I WOULD DO! BELIEVE IN YOU!!" sticks with me the most. I wasn't surprised by Flowey's actions, but what fucking threw me for a loop was like. When Flowey was revealed as Asriel, I was genuinely jaw-drop shocked. I was like. Holy fuck. I thought he was dead. What the hell. To this day, though, i still think Hopes and Dreams hits me the hardest out of all the boss battle themes. It doesn't super bother me, bc like, difference in opinion is whatever, but like. Whenever I see Megalovania at the top of someone's ost list for Undertale I'm just... Why? Maybe it's because I'd overheard it meme'd to much before I played the game, but like, i dunno, it's not a bad song, but it's not the most emotional provoking piece for me, so it's pretty far down my list. Hopes and Dreams will still remain my #1.
I really did feel determined during this battle. I really felt a lot of emotion. I felt excited. I felt frightened. I felt ambitious. Asriel's battle is probably still the hardest for me, and yes, I'm counting genocide this time. I can't grasp his magic patterns at all, and I more so played it as a "okay, how much damage can i take? Whats his next move?" As i healed every other turn. It took me a very long time to beat him (though no 11 hours like Sans, this was more like, 2 or 3 max) and when I got to the part with the Lost Souls, most of the characters just said their "we hate you" piece and i was like "nope you're controlled" right.
But then there's Sans's "just give up. i did."
I genuinely had to stop. I set down my controller and just sat for a minute. I'd mentioned before how much I've been struggling with depression for years now, and it's at the worst it's been since high school. Maybe you'd think when I saw that, I was like "sure, maybe I should give up." But... It's really the "i did." that hit me like a rock to the stomach. While I do know a couple other people with depression, the most discussion we have with it is "haha i wanna die" kinda jokes yknow? Nothing really serious. And, well, I've always been the type to lean to fictional characters for support more than real people, since I've just been so disconnected from a lot of friends growing up and was too scared to talk about anything with my family.
So seeing someone else say "just give up. i did." hit me so fucking hard that I just started crying. I had already been in a real sappy mood cause the whole scene was so emotional as it was, even if merely the cliche of friendship will save all, y'know what? Its a good ass fuckin trope and makes me emotional lmao.
So, naturally, I was more hyperaware of Sans's implied depression from here onward. The conversations with everyone post-battle left me crying. God, so did the hug with Asriel. I was just fucking bawling.
Oh god. I didn't even mention. "Despite everything, it's still you." Another line that just hit me and I had to pause.
So admist my crying mess, I was telling my friend I'd beat Undertale again. He asks me "so... you gonna play the genocide route?" And I already had from the beginning. I always want to play every available route in a game. I see no point in paying for something and then not playing it all. I'd consider myself a completionist who doesn't ever actually finish anything lmao.
I definitely put my emotions aside for genocide. The absolute hardest kill for me was Papyrus, though. And i was absolutely fucking heartbroken when he said he still believed me as his last words. But I forced it aside. I didn't want to reset. I wanted to beat it to have it under my belt that I had. I was pretty sure the Sans battle would be here, since I hadn't heard Megalovania in the game yet, and I was aware of how hard the battle was, despite never seeing it.
Undyne's battle I'm more emotional about in retrospect than I was at the time. At the time, I didn't care, didn't like the theme much, and the dings gave me a headache. Undyne isn't exactly my favorite character (though definitely not my least favorite, that role is given to Frisk with Toriel not close behind ahdhsb im sorry), so I really wasn't concerned about it. Not to mention, I don't know why, but all of the battles I struggled with EXCEPT Undyne's I ended up liking the character more as a result. Maybe it was the dinging lmao.
Bro you shoulda seen how prepared I was for Mettaton NEO's battle to be hard as fuck. I was like sitting upright, took deep breaths before hitting fight, then when he died in one shot i just kind of "wh...what." Still very disappointed lol but I guess that's kind of the point of the genocide route.
Then came the Sans fight. As I said, I spent 11 hours on this. I genuinely didn't pay attention to what he said after a while, but I do remember the first time I read it, I was fucking terrified. Usually, sarcasm, hatred, and sass is very hard to convey through pure text, especially when it's said in the same tone as his usual talking. But the absolute harshness, the coldness, and the lack of any fucks given Sans had at that point was so plainly transparent through everything he said that it fucking scared me. Toby Fox's writing here was fantastic. I can only dream of being able to write like that. Frankly, I love his writing in general. Actually, fuck it, I love all of the artistic takes of this game. This is gonna sound weird but... The "childishness" of it just is so good. Like, there's no rules. Every socially accepted rule of art, writing, character design, speech patterns, and even basic grammar are thrown aside. He didn't just think outside of the box, there literally was no box. I call it childish only because like, children also create with no rules. They have no rules to restrict their creativity. And seeing that embraced in Undertale in every form possible just blows me away.
Anyway. The battle. It. Was hard. Thats a given. I spent about two weeks playing it on and off, and it's probably the most healthily I've treated myself in recent memory, because when it became too much for me to handle, I set it down and took a break. I would retain what I memorized and use it for the next time I picked it up. Frankly, it came to a point where every time I opened up Undertale to play, it was more just cause I wanted to see him lmao. The guy hated my existence at this point and it's not like i disacknowledged that. But it just felt like every time i opened the game... Idk. I don't know what I felt. I can tell you for sure this isn't the time when Sans started slipping into my favorite character spot over Mettaton, that didn't come until the development of Act to Flirt's first demo, which was a month or so later lmao.
I was very excited when I beat Sans.
But then, after it was over, I felt very empty.
I didn't feel good about beating genocide. I still don't. I want to play the boss battles again, cause they were really fun, despite how hard they were, but I can't bring myself to.
When I got to Chara, and everything went to black, I just wiped my save and started fresh. I think this was the first time I used the name "Willo" for anything. I just picked a random name to use, and Willo was the first thing that came to mind.
I beat neutral again many times, trying to unlock as many secrets as I could. I accidentally spent like, way too long trying to get Sans's room, because I couldn't figure out how to do it... which is when I started speedrunning the game, because I was just so used to going through it all. I timed myself once, and I got somewhere around 1:20:00 ish, which puts me at the very bottom of the NG+ Glitchless runs by like 30 minutes, but hey, it's still not too bad all things considered.
I'd started working on Act to Flirt sometime in between the speedruns. I was playing Papyrus's date again, and I had this thought of. What if Undertale... but all boss fights are instead like Papyrus's date?? I pitched the idea to my friend who was like "thats definitely been done before lol" and immediately I almost shut down the idea. But then I still had that glimmer of hope that, maybe, since I haven't made it yet, people would like my game because it was by me. Besides, quarantine was getting to me. I needed some way to spend my time. So on May 6th to May 7th, I spent the whole 24 hour period making the first proof of concept for the game, which was UI setup and Flowey's tutorial date. I hadn't made any of the art yet, so it was a black background with Flowey's undertale sprite. I originally was going to make everything more visual novel like in the sense that, so like on Papyrus's date, you could make choices like "unwrap the present" "dont unwrap the present" or "you look great" "you look terrible" and getting the ending would involve pretty much just saying the right things at the right times. But this alone was... Yknow, already done before, and part of what makes Undertale so great is that it's, despite its many outside influences, very unique in its gameplay. So I decided to make the dates more like puzzle-solving RPG's, and frankly, since doing that, I dont know if I want to go back to making other visual novels lmao.
After making the first demo and releasing it, I hit a creative funk. I wanted to make the next demo right away, but I forced myself to stop (since i was working 16+ hour days to finish it in exactly a week. I didn't eat much and i slept very little during this time too. Dont do this lmao). I didn't know if the game would be received, and frankly, I'd had many failed projects in the past due to lack of support. I lost a lot of support in the past due to the dropped projects I kept starting and quitting because I had such a small audience, and that made me lose a lot of interest and motivation to work on them. So I posted the first demo and waited. I was very shocked to have a YouTuber with over a million subs play it that weekend. Dantekris I think was her channel name. She speaks Russian, and I never understood a word she said, but I've still watched her let's plays because I enjoy seeing her reactions. I hate that YouTube keeps deleting my responses on her videos, probably because they're long and in English so it's marked as spam on a comments section full of purely Russian comments yknow. But it makes me feel like such an ass ;w;
Mairusu is the next large YouTuber who played it and my god I love seeing when he uploads a new update for my game because I genuinely have no idea what to expect from him. I don't know what it is but he's just so absolutely funny to me. He also seems to be the most common breaker of my game though. Stop making your own bugs!! I try to testplay to find the bugs he gets and it's like.... what did you do.... how did you skip that whole date im so confused thats not supposed to happen..... He accidentally skipped all of Muffet's date because of this too and hers is supposed to be the hardest in the game right now so I'm very upset by it;; i dont know how it happened, it never happens for me.
But like. I was definitely struggling a bit with the direction I wanted to take AtF. I wanted there to be a core message, like with Undertale and many other of my favorite things. When there's a core theme to write about, it makes things a lot easier to compose than if you have a plot with no meaning to it. It ties it all together for a common purpose. But, as I started diving more into the fandom around this time, finding not only it being still alive but still enormous and filled with passion.
Passion. Hm. That's familiar. That's the trait I gave the player character, rather than determination. While it was intended for giggles "haha dating game u have passion wink wonk," it started becoming more than that. It started becoming a manifestation of what I really felt upon finally soaking myself into the deep end of this pool I'd once been too afraid to step into. Passion. Everyone here is so driven by their passion for this game, the characters, its story. Everyone is so inspired and creative. That's it. That's what I wanted Act to Flirt to be.
A game made for those who have already dived deep into Undertale. A game made for those who have the same level if passion I've wittnessed. A game that someone might stumble upon, merely wanting any Undertale content they can find, and a dating sim leaves them grasping at straws, only to find it's a game instead deeply rooted in how much they care about this world and its people. You have a Soul of Passion, because your passion for Undertale brought you to this game. That's what the core message is. Every ending is supposed to depict different kinds of empathy, and True Passion shows you truly cared the most you could for all of these characters. Sans is so blocked from it because, well, how can he really believe it? "if we're really friends, you won't come back," right? But here you are. Again and again.
And Heartbreak. Whose heart is really the one breaking here? Taking the Hopes and Dreams of every single character you've grown to care for and crushing it beneath your feet... who is the one suffering in the end?
I just... I'm very excited. I've written that game with the player as the main character. Not Willo. Not Frisk. Not anybody else. You, the player, are the main character. I've honestly done a lot of looking around in the DDLC code to make this game as 4th wall breaking as I can (without like. Disrupting it as a game experience like ddlc is, with monika deleting things and stuff). Just enough to leave the player unsettled and confused. Like. "Me? Are you talking to me?" Yes. You. Directly to you.
I started sketching out designs and ideas for ULR around July. I genuinely loved Underlust after finding out about it, even though it was posed to me as an insult about the contents of Act to Flirt. I was both like "uh... Act to Flirt is nothing like this. Maybe in reversed roles at best but..." and also "okay but this? This shit is good. Thank you." But finding out it was discontinued and wanting more, well, that's when I decided to make ULR. I presented the idea to my friends, who were like "please stop making aus," and then continued onward. I told myself I wasn't going to work on it though until after I finished Act to Flirt... Then after the next demo came out... Then it turned out I was working on it too much and it resulted in me rushing my release of the 3rd demo of AtF because I'd been so distracted I was going to miss my release deadline of the end of August, before school. I... Still kinda regret that a lot. It's still very buggy. Though I hope I got them all for the next demo...
But speaking of school .... ha... Remember when i said i was going to transfer to another school? Well, I did, and for the first few weeks it was fine! Then I started skipping assignments I didn't want to do. Then I started panicking about my low grades. Then I started getting behind on assignments. Then I stopped going to classes. Then I lost all motivation to work on anything at all. I just locked myself in my room and did next to nothing with the occasional drawing here and there, for weeks. It came to the point where I was like "I just have to get through this semester, then I'll drop out." But if I ever wanted to go back to school, having all F's on my last report card would not bode well for my acceptance. Which lead to more stress. I didn't want to fail, but I also didn't have any motivation to work. I would do one assignment here or there, feel good about myself, then realize I was still months behind on work and suddenly oh god oh fuck finals are next week. And my solution? I just. Fuckin dropped out. Oh my god. It was such a relief to just get that weight off my shoulders that I'd been carrying for months on end, preventing me to do anything I wanted to work on.
Well. Then my car tires died. So that's a thing. But good news! Between commissions and gifts, I have enough money to get them replaced! I don't think I've ever like... Been so excited about that before.
And, well. Now I'm here, pretty much. God, I just went through my entire year summary, and it feels like it was both forever long but also not long at all. I don't get it. 2021 still feels like a far off future, despite the fact I'm now 5 hours into it. Yes, I spent 4 hours writing this. Whoops. Oh well. I couldn't sleep anyway, so it's not that big of a deal.
All in all though... Despite being locked inside, away from my friends, unable to talk to anyone about the things i was enjoying, and living in fear of getting sick at all ever with anything, 2020 definitely fuckin changed me for the better. It was a hellhole of a year and I'd never do it again or wish it upon my worst enemy, but I came out a better person... I think. I hope.
It seems cliche to bring back but fuck it. Undertale? My friend insists its core message was that anyone can be a good person if they just try, which I mean, it definitely probably was intended that way. But that never was the message I felt while playing it.
What lesson I took from it was "things aren't always as they seem."
Flowey betrays you immediately, but then you find out he's just the remnants of a boy who died years ago and is still grieving over the loss of his best friend, whomst, despite how much he cares for them, recognizes they weren't good to him and he'd been manipulated and used by them.
Toriel is a kind and caring woman, a still grieving mother over the loss of her children, who seems to have kindness to no end, but is actually filled with such hatred and depression that she regularly gets drunk, swears, and still, without resilience, hates her ex husband.
Sans is a playful character who is full of puns, a gross atmosphere, and decided to break physics just because he can. He's the embodiment of a comic relief character. But at the same time, he's suffering, struggling, in constant pain and worry. He's lazy, but quick on his feet. He's harmless but will kill without hesitation if need be. He's both caring and the least caring of them all.
Papyrus is like... a self-centered asshole in a way, when you first meet him. He prides himself and everything he does. Yet still, he's actually quite open and accepting and loves everyone. He loves talking with and being with other people, even if maybe sometimes he has a different interpretation of social interaction from the "norm."
Undyne comes off as cruel and deadly, such even being emphasized in many points. But, deep down, she's extremely caring for those who are close to her, and her only cruelty is dealt to those who have wronged her in some way.
Alphys is a sweet and nervous wreck who comes off as helpful and lacking a filter due to her tendency to ramble. She seems to be merely anxious due to likely social anxiety... But you eventually find out that she's a liar who merely wants to create a world to be a better place, and by doing so, she pretends all the bads do not exist.
Mettaton comes off as an absolute self-centered asshole. Like. There's no way around that. He seemingly has no regard for other people with only full intentions of helping himself. But, deep down, he actually cares a lot for other people, especially his family and friends, and just tends to get caught up in things while he's in the moment.
Muffet seems to be greedy with how much money she begs people to give her for the spiders, but, as it turns out, she's flat broke and drops no G when you beat or kill her. She merely needs the money to help the spiders.
Asgore, too, is built up to be this ruthless killer throughout the whole game, and when you finally meet him, he's an incredibly sweet guy who's only filled with regret, and because of his past decisions, has decided to put aside his hopes for the sake of his people.
I...
Didn't see any of these characters for who they really were right away. Why would I? Few of these archetypes are explored much in a lot of fiction lately, or at least what I've been consuming; and is more focused around how someone can change their flaws into something positive... Not how to accept someone for who they are, despite the wrongs they may have committed or the lives they lead. Everyone's different. Everyone's grown up differently. Everyone has a reason for what they do.
And it took me playing this game to realize such a simple concept that I probably should have learned years ago.
That's why I really think 2020 changed me for the better. I made a realization that I should have had many years ago, and it's made me a lot more confident in expressing myself, accepting people for what they do, and seeing the brighter side to everything. I say that, sitting here filled with nothing and void of all emotion whatsoever... But it's a conscious thought i have. My emotions are so weird... They're either on full blast or I feel nothing at all. But yet I have... Thoughts of what i should feel? It's weird. Idk. This is why I'm getting therapy LMAO
But yea. 2020? Fuck you. But also thank you. But mostly fuck you and good riddance lmao

Tumblr media
The trip was long. The prior events kept replaying in your mind, wondering what Namjoon could have possibly told Nari. It was weird seeing him so angry at her, he always managed to keep composure whenever she was regarded. You glanced at him to see him looking at some papers on his small table. He felt your gaze and turned to see you.
“Is everything okay?” he asked.
“Uhm yeah, I was just…. I am hungry I guess.” you could not say how surprised you were at his actions, how different he was acting.
“Let me ask for something -” you shook your head.
“We are almost there, I can wait really. I’ll just get dizzy if I do.” you said.
He smiled. “Okay, whatever you want.”
When you arrived there was a driver waiting for the two of you. He drove you to a tall building that looked much like a hotel. Namjoon led you to the elevator and pressed the last button, once the elevator dinged he retrieved a key and opened the double set of doors.
“It’s a penthouse, it has two bedrooms. I know you don’t want to share a bedroom with me.” he explained.
You ignored his statement and went directly to the far wall that was only a glass door, the curtains were open and you could see most of the city. The door led to a balcony but you admired it from inside.
“We can share a room if you don’t mind.” you mumbled staring off.
He looked up surprised at your statement.
“We don’t have to, if you don’t want to. You are not obligated.”
You turned to face him to find him in the middle of the living room.
“I know, but I really do not mind.” you went to sit on one of the beige couches and laid your head against the soft cushions. Your eyes fluttered, you felt so tired.
“The driver is getting us food, I know you said you were hungry but I assumed you wanted to stay in today. We can go out tomorrow.” you felt the spot next to you move, you assumed he had sat down.
“Thank you, what time are you leaving tomorrow?”
“I don’t have a meeting until next week.” he admitted without shame.
Your eyes opened to that. “Oh, so tomorrow?”
“We can do anything you might want.” his voice was soft, he was careful not to rub you the wrong way.
He had never treated you how he was treating you right now.
“You decide, I’ve never been here. I am not sure…” you trailed off, “Whatever you want to do.”
He smiled, “Okay we can go around the city, we can go have breakfast at a small cafe and decide from there okay?” he suggested.
You both agreed to decide in the morning. The first night was awkward. Both of you got ready for bed and Namjoon was adamant about not making you uncomfortable but you insisted on him staying in the same room as you.
And it was awkward, he didn’t seem to want to be too close to you and you weren’t sure what to attribute this to. You both stayed on your side away from each other, too afraid to move or brush against each other. It was hard to fall asleep but finally the tiredness from the trip took over.
When you woke up the next day you turned to find him still asleep next to you. You got up and went to the bathroom and started getting ready, you weren’t sure what to expect, usually kindness from him led to more hurt and pain.
He did exactly what he had said you both went to have breakfast to that little cafe, afterwards he led you through historical places walking hand in hand with you. The first touch of his palm was almost nervous and loose as if testing if you would shake his touch away but you didn’t, you allowed him to interlace his fingers with yours and soon too soon for comfort it became a habit. By the end of the week your hand was searching for his
His smiles became more frequent and small gestures became a usual thing. He would always make sure to find a place to rest if you were tired, or a place he knew food you would like whenever you were hungry. At night it was getting harder and harder not to reach for him or ask for physical contact.
It was the middle of the second week together, he was out on the balcony talking on the phone. During this whole time he had barely touched his phone and you couldn’t deny the dread at seeing him talking and seeming so frustrated. One of his hands was in his pants pocket while the other held tightly the device against his ear.
You slid the glass door slowly alerting him of your presence. He lifted only two fingers to signify two minutes. You smiled and went back inside leaving the glass door slightly open. You weren’t trying to eavesdrop but you wanted to know at least who he was talking to.
“I see... no I understand I mean the construction has to be halted it’s not your fault.” there was a pause and a loud sigh. “There is nothing else to do until they can reevaluate the ground or get us a new lot Maximilian.” you sighed at the name. “You can go ahead and give me a call if you find a new lot, or Seokjin.” he didn’t mention Nari and it was a surprise to you she was his secretary. “Take care, say hello to your parents from me.” he was looking at the ground as he laughed. “I don’t know we’ll let you know okay?” he stared at his screen for a long time before starting to walk back inside. “You ready?”
From what you could understand the business he had come to oversee had fallen apart. You were fearful he would arrange for you guys going back. It had only been two weeks and it had been the best weeks of your marriage. He was calm and loving, the sarcastic comments that had come to hurt you before no longer made an appearance and instead he would try to be funny.
“Namjoon?” you tried to attract his attention as you both sat on the couch in the living room watching a movie.
“Yeah?” he threw some popcorn in his mouth, when you didn’t respond he turned to look at you. “Y/N?”
“Are we going back now?” your voice came out timid as you played with your hands, and tried to look anywhere but him.
“Do you want to?”
“Not really?” you didn’t want to go, if it wasn’t for your dad or brother you’d ask him to stay a year how ever long he could spare.
“We can stay longer,” he turned back to the TV, “I like it here.” he mumbled, grabbing a handful of popcorn. He had the remote in his hand and tried changing the channel.
“We are never going to finish watching any movie ever if you keep changing the channel midway through the movie ya know?” you retorded grabbing popcorn from the white container on his lap.
“This is not actually entertaining, midway is when we know if the movie has captured the attention of the viewer.”
“Uhm no excuse me but midway is when they start answering questions.” you retorded.
“But what good are the answers if I don’t want them.”
“You’re an ass!, you need answers.”
“I’m still going to change the channel.” he moved the remote and you reached for it to knock it out of his grasp but he lifted it up in the air.
“You are being a child!” you knocked the popcorn off his lap and began reaching for the remote more forcefully.
He laughed, the rich sound resonating. “Me?! This is a cartoon!”
Unknowingly you climbed on his lap to fight for the control, when you finally reached it you laughed but the sound died in your throat as you gazed at Namjoon to find him staring at you with dark eyes and an intensity you had rarely seen him display towards you. You always wondered what it would be like to have met him under different circumstances. If you had come to be together as a normal couple but this last few weeks had given you a taste of it.
His hands settled on your hips, and he stared not making a move. You let go of the remote on the side of the couch and leaned into him. He wasn’t moving; he was giving you an out. You wrapped your hands around his jaw and pulled him slightly to meet your lips and he allowed you.
He allowed you to keep your pace as his fingers dug into your hips. Your hips began moving on their own accord searching for friction. You moaned into his mouth as your fingers searched for his hair.
“Namjoon.” You moaned into his lips.
“Yeah Y/N?” His breathy moan was enough to show how affected he was.
You weren’t sure how to ask. Rarely you searched for that physical contact but you were craving it with such an intensity it was too much.
“I….. I want you Namjoon.” you whispered afraid of his reaction at your blunt words.
“Yeah?”
You nodded.
He squeezed your hips. “Need words babygirl.”
“Yes, I do pleaseee.” You begged, burying your face into his neck and inhaling his scent.
“I’m all yours.” It was more a mumble than a full sentence but it had you snapping out of your thoughts.
You raised your face to see into his eyes to find a lie but he seemed to be saying the truth. He reached for you this time and kissed you more aggressively. He kissed your lips slightly biting them, and then began a trail to your jaw, neck finally settling on sucking bruises on the tender skin. You moaned at the feel and he sucked harder, you continued to move your hips against him and that seemed to drive him crazier.
He took your sweater off and reached for your bra unclasping it in one go. At the sight he latched on your nipple, you moaned loudly as he alternated between nipples.
“Joon.” You moaned threading your fingers through his hair.
He grabbed you and laid you on the couch. He stayed on top of you and began kissing you more aggressively. His clothed bulge rubbed against your core causing you to moan into the kiss.
You reached for his jeans and began unbuckling the belt. He allowed you to unzip his jeans and push them past his hips you reached for his sweater and began pulling it off of him.
“I need you.” You groaned pulling him towards you.
“Yeah baby?” You nodded not letting him move from the kiss. “How much?” He asked looking down at you with lust filled eyes.
“So much fuck please.” You begged.
He slipped his hand past your skirt and began touching you through your underwear.
“So wet.” He groaned moving your panties to the side. “Wanted to take my time but I fucking need you so bad.” He groaned not taking your clothes off completely and just pushing inside you.
He grabbed onto your hips and began pulling you to meet his thrusts. You reached for his neck and pulled him down for a kiss, his hips kept brutally snapping against you and you wrapped your legs around his waist to pull him as deep as you could.
“Don’t stop please!” You screamed at his brutal pounding. “Fuck I’m gonna cum Joon.”
“Not yet baby, not till I let you.” His pace was relentless, his lips latched onto your neck and you let out a loud moan. “Fuck that’s it squeeze me babe. Come on Y/N squeeze me.”
“Need to cum Joonie please.” You whined, he reached for your clit and began rubbing it.
“Cum baby, squeeze me come on.” He egged as he kept slamming inside. “Cum baby just for me come on.” With another slam your whole body convulsed as you came. At the feel Namjoon spilled inside of you, he kept thrusting until he stopped cumming.
He stayed on top of you but you felt his dick slip out. You were both breathing hard. You needed him so bad, it had been a long time since the last time you both had sex. You didn’t want him to move away from you.
But eventually he did.
“Did I hurt you?” He asked softly.
“No.” You pulled him and kissed him. “You didn’t hurt me.” You said between kisses.
He didn’t pull away as you kept kissing him and biting his lips.
“Don’t do that or ….. I might not control what I do next.” He groaned in between kisses.
“Who said I wanted you to?” You asked, wrapping your arms around his neck.
He growled and pulled you with him and took you to the bedroom where you spent the rest of the night all over each other.
The next day you woke up sore but happy. You felt the sun through the curtains as you opened your eyes. You squinted at the sight and rubbed your eyes.
You felt Namjoon against your back mouthing at your back.
“I’m tired Joonie.” The nickname slipped past your lips but Namjoon seemed to not mind it.
“I know baby I’m sorry.” He never called you that outside of sex so the nickname had you turning to face him.
“I’m not.” You said with a smile.
He rewarded you with a smile and a small kiss.
“Can we have breakfast, I’m hungry.” You complained.
“You mean lunch? It’s noon.” He said still kissing you.
You laughed and pushed him off you slightly.
“Yeah lunch I guess.” you agreed.
The days after that were even better, you guys didn’t miss the opportunity to be together or show displays of affection. At some point you had to wonder if really being away from Nari opened something in feelings from Namjoon towards you.
It was so different than all that time that you had been together while being in the states. Three weeks in and you had forgotten Namjoon ever being anything other than amazing with you. Namjoon had said this trip would be a month. And as the month approached you were terrified of going back and bursting your bubble.
And that’s how Namjoon found you, with trembling hands sorting through your clothes. He tried to approach you but you moved away.
“Y/N?” he called. But when you didn’t turn he searched for your face. “Y/N.” he called now more firmly.
Finally with tear stricken eyes you looked up at him.
He frowned. “What’s wrong?”
“I just….. We are about to go back… I don’t want things to change between us and I don’t know I…” you stopped afraid of him laughing to your face.
His shoulders seemed to sag in relief, “Y/N, nothing has to change okay? I promise I’ll do my best for things to continue as they have been.” he lifted your chin and kissed you slowly.
You looked up at him, “Promise?”
He smiled, “Promise.”
The flight back had been long and your limbs were tired as you made your way into the bedroom. Namjoon was following closely and you pulled him towards the bed with you.
“We gotta take this clothes off.”
You opened one eye and sat down to take your clothes off leaving you only in your underwear. You wiggled your eyebrows, pulling the covers and getting underneath them. Namjoon took his clothes off and went to lay right behind you pulling you close to his body.
You fell asleep almost instantly. You woke up to find Namjoon getting dressed.
“Did I wake you?” he asked, tightening his tie.
“No, You’re fine.” You sat up and pulled the covers. “Where are you going?”
You knew he was going back to the office. But you had to ask.
“I have to go to the office, haven’t been there in a while and I know it’s only a matter of time before Seokjin bursts through this door.” He motioned to the closed door.
Insecurity gripped you and you just nodded. He approached you and sat next to you.
“You can always come, whatever time you want.” He said, just then his phone went off. “That’s Seokjin, I need to go.” He leaned in to kiss you softly. And it felt like heaven.
“I ….” you stopped yourself. “Have a good day.” He smiled and pecked you before grabbing his jacket and leaving.
This was the first time he had been away in the past couple of weeks. After thinking about it you made up your mind to go meet him for lunch or something. But you needed to see him.
“Well someone looks different.” Seokjin commented looking at Namjoon over.
“I don’t know what you mean.” He answered, grabbing one of the small stacks of papers.
“Kim Namjoon is that a hickey?” Seokjin mocked just as Nari came inside the office.
Namjoon’s hand flew to his neck as Seokjin burst in laughter.
“Oh God, this is too good. I am taking credit for this.”
“For my-”
“For this trip it was my idea you know.”
“You have an appointment in twenty minutes.” Nari interrupted.
“I’ll let you get settled and then we are having a conversation.” Seokjin walked away leaving Namjoon with Nari.
He went to the elevator to find you coming out of it.
“Y/N!” He hugged you tightly, “so good to see you,” his gaze focused on your neck “And to see matching hickies.” Your hand flew to your neck and he laughed. “It’s okay I’m really happy this trip which I totally suggested worked.”
“Thank you Seokjin, I just …. he didn’t have breakfast and I wanted to have lunch with him.” You said.
“I’m sure he is going to love it.” He said motioning for you to keep walking. “See you later.”
You kept walking to find Nari walking out of his office. She seemed startled to see you.
“He is busy.” Was all she said standing in your way.
“I don’t care.” You said sweetly walking around her and pushing the door open.
When you walked in you saw him immersed in something on his computer. You walked further inside, alerting him of someone inside. When he saw you your heart almost leaped out of your chest at the smile that overtook his features at the sight of you.
He got up immediately and went to meet you halfway.
“Y/N,” he leaned in to kiss you softly.
“You didn’t have breakfast so I came to steal you for lunch.” You commented with a smile.
“That sounds great, I just need to go through that first stack if you don’t mind waiting.”
“I have a book, I don’t mind waiting in here.”
He began going through the pile, Nari coming in randomly. You tried to stay focused on your book but you kept glancing at Namjoon, he looked so hot just working. You were always attracted and in love with him but you had never seen him so focused before.
“You keep looking at me like that and it won't be my fault what happens next.” His voice interrupted your thoughts.
Your gaze flew back to your book. “Don’t know what you are talking about.” You mumbled staring at your book.
You got tired of trying to focus and went to stand behind Namjoon to look out the window. It was so high up the people below looked like ants.
You felt Namjoon’s hands wrap around you and lean his jaw against your shoulder.
“Are you hungry yet?” He asked.
“A little.” You responded still looking out.
He turned you in his arms and leaned in to kiss you. Soon the kiss turned heated and you were pulling on his tie, he moved his chair aside and pushed papers aside to have you seated on top of it. You laughed when you saw his papers flying to the floor.
He continued to kiss you more desperately, he lifted your dress and undid his pants in a hurry.
“Fuck I’m sorry, I need you so bad.” He groaned against your lips.
“Take me, I’m yours.” You looked at him directly.
That seemed to snap something in him because within seconds he had pushed all the way inside eliciting a loud moan from you.
“Fuck please.” You wrapped your legs around his waist as he pounded into you.
“Please what babe? Huh what do you need?”
“You fuck it’s so good Namjoon don’t stop please.” You moaned, your arms wrapped tightly around his shoulders. “Need to cum please.” You whined.
Without hesitation he reached for your clit.
“Tell me who you belong to, baby.” He grunted as he pounded into you.
“You Namjoon! I’m yours pleaseee.” You moaned.
“Cum all over my cock baby come on” he was rubbing your clit as he slammed into you, finally you came and he followed closely behind but he kept thrusting until he was completely finished.
He buried his face in your neck breathing hard.
“I always feel like I get carried away.” He placed a small kiss on your neck.
“I love it.”
He reached for some tissues and cleaned the both of you as best as he could.
“We should go eat something, I had a meeting but it was cancelled so I should take advantage.” As he was fixing his tie there was a soft knock on the door.
Nari walked in not waiting for an affirmative, and you rushed to cover up.
“Nari I didn’t say you could come inside.” He berated.
“I just….. your meeting.”
“It was cancelled.” He said.
“Oh but you-”
“I am going to step out of the office to have lunch with my wife. If there is anything urgent can you alert Seokjin?” He asked but there was no question to his request.
                    ⊱ ━━━━.⋅ εïз ⋅.━━━━ ⊰
It became a daily thing for you to see each other at least once to eat together. Your life began a steady rhythm and you were so happy about the way things were going. Namjoon seemed genuinely happy about being with you.
You had told Yoongi about everything how things were going and at first he seemed suspicious about it but he began to feel happy for the turn your life had taken.
It was a regular day for you, you were waiting for Namjoon in the conference room when a soft knock attracted your attention. You opened the door to find Nari standing on the other side.
“I was wondering if we could talk?” she said meekly, different to every single time she had spoken to you before.
“Yes of course.” you moved away from the door.
But she didn’t move, she glanced behind her and shook her head.
“Not here, at the deli down the street.” she whispered. “I’ll meet you there during my lunch at three?”
“Okay.” you agreed suspiciously.
She had never tried to be so civil with you. After saying your goodbyes to Namjoon and Seokjin you asked the driver to drive you to the deli. Once you arrived she was already there on a table. For the first time you didn’t care about anything, your relationship with Namjoon had improved and though it had not been a perfect beginning the trip had brought hope to you.
As you sat down a waiter approached you asking you for something to drink but you only ordered a glass of water; you didn’t plan to be there for long.
She didn’t speak after the waiter left, she just stared at her cup.
“Nari, I am not sure why you asked me to -”
“I think I’ve always hated you.” she interrupted, still not looking at you. “You ruined everything, it should have been me who married Namjoon and we would have had a shot if it hadn’t been for your useless brother and your company being in ruins.”
You stood up and she finally looked at you. “I am not going to sit here while you insult my family.” you turned to leave.
“I’m pregnant.” the two words had you stopping in your tracks.
You turned back to her with wide eyes.
“What did you say?” you asked.
She sighed. “I’m pregnant. Namjoon will never leave you. The scandal of a divorce would be too much and being with you will mean my child would not have a last name let alone a father.”
Finally you sat down, “You want me to leave him.” you mumbled, there was no question to it you knew exactly what she was asking for.
“My child deserves a father.” you saw her caress her abdomen with adoration and tears sprung to your eyes. “Seokjin convinced Namjoon to take you to Paris so he could convince me to have an abortion and I talked to Olivia and she did an ultrasound but she recommended I keep it quiet. I need someone on our side.”
This was cruel to no end. You felt in shock, you didn’t move. You didn’t even know what to say.
“They are a family of class, this would be a scandal. None of them want that.” you didn’t have a reaction. “I will leave you to think about it. But think about this child, it’s not his fault.” She stood up and left.
Your phone rang and Namjoon’s name was on display. Your jaw trembled at the sight. You got up and left, you hauled a cab and went to the only place that had never been tainted by anything. A place where you only went to have fun. Or forget about everything.
You ordered shot after shot losing essence of time until the bartender pushed a glass of water your way. “Silvester, if I wanted water I wouldn’t be here.” you slurred. “Give me another shot.” you dangled your cup and he filled it up.
You lay your head against the counter and felt the cold against your forehead. That’s how Yoongi found you.
“Vest make a coffee please.” he called over your body.
“You got it kid.”
You felt Yoongi sitting beside you and moved your body.
“I got worried, I have been trying to get a hold of you.” he commented in a low tone of voice. “Hey, talk to me.”
Finally you lifted your head and leaned against your palm.
“Oh no I must have left it at the Deli.” you whined. “It’s just been a terrible day!, I lost my phone, I didn’t eat and Nari is pregnant..” you held your head and Yoongi had to do a double take.
“What did you say?”
“I lost my phone!, can you believe this?, I am so careful with things and everything and I just left it there alone..” you started crying. “By itself and I didn’t care for it that’s why I lose everything because I don’t take care of it..” your body began shaking violently but he held you close to his body.
“Vest, let me get her tab.” you saw him slide a credit card and then you both left.
There were no words exchanged as he led you to his penthouse. You didn’t resist until you were at the entrance.
“Hoseok he-”
“He is not here, he is out on a presentation in LA. Come on.” He pulled you inside and led you to the guest room. “I’ll bring you some clothes.”
You sat down at the edge of the bed as you began to cry silently. Yoongi walked in with a Black shirt in his hands, he went to take a seat next to you. You buried your face in your palms.
“What am I going to do if I can’t find my cell phone?” You cried.
“Maybe you need to leave it and take time to find a new one.” He commented. “I can’t tell you I know what this feels because I don’t but Na-”
“No!” You yelled interrupting him. “Not her, my phone I don’t know what I am going to do now. I love my phone so much and it’s been so good to have it and last month in Paris and ……” you started crying again. “Why can’t I just be happy, why does shit just keep happening and I have nothing now.” Yoongi held you as you cried.
He held you until you fell asleep.
——                ⊱ ━━━━.⋅ εïз ⋅.━━━━ ⊰
“You guys did good huh?” Seokjin asked as he sat across from Namjoon.
Namjoon rolled his eyes. “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
“I heard you guys christened this office and some bathrooms in the last couple of days.”
He groaned, “can you mind your own business? Or is that impossible for you?”
Seokjin laughed, “I’m just saying I was the one with the idea of this trip and it all seems to have worked out.”
Namjoon couldn’t help the smile that adorned his lips at the comment. Things had never been better, you both could hardly keep each others hands to yourselves. He couldn’t complain this was everything to him, you actively looked for him and this was something that you never did before.
Seokjin got up to leave and he instantly called you to meet for lunch. But you didn’t respond, he frowned but put his phone aside and began working.
An hour later he began getting worried, you hadn’t returned his call nor messages. He called you again and you didn’t respond. Fear gripped him and he called Olivia.
“Hello” she singsonged.
“Hey quick question, is my wife there?” He asked. This felt like it had happened before.
“Uhm no Namjoon sorry, haven’t heard from her today at least.”
“Okay thanks.” He ended the call and went to look for Seokjin who was in the middle of a call. Namjoon made a scissors motion with his fingers so he could end the call and Seokjin lifted one finger.
“Okay, I understand and will have the documents ready.” He hung up the phone and looked up. “What’s wrong?”
“Y/N is not answering the phone and she is not with Olivia. I don’t know where to look for her.” He sounded desperate.
“Calm down, we can check with police and the rest of the hospitals.” He got up. “Can you think of someone else we can call?”
Namjoon thought for a moment until something in his mind clicked.
“Yoongi, he might know something.”
After two hours he finally got a hold of Yoongi’s personal number. He was hesitant in dialing but he did regardless. He was quick to answer.
“Hello.” His tone was gruff as if he had just woken up from a nap.
“This is Namjoon, sorry to bother but I haven’t been able to get in touch with Y/N. Have you talked to her?” His voice didn’t waver once.
That seemed to wake him up. “No, I haven’t seen her.”
“Look I wouldn’t bother you but I’m really worried about her.”
He scoffed. “That’s a first.”
Namjoon groaned. “I didn’t call for your sarcasm. I just want to know she is fine.”
“I’ll let you know if I hear from her.” Yoongi ended the call and stared at his screen.
There was a bar he and you had frequented when you were younger. In college, when you guys wanted to celebrate or just drink and have a good time. You guys grew close to the owner, which is why he sighed when he saw he had a text message from almost an hour ago.
Silvester: Aye Y/N is here taking shots like water, kinda worried. Can you come get her?
Yoongi sighed and got off the bed. Replying as fast as he could.
Yoongi: On my way.
His heart broke at the sight. You lay limply against the counter, and as he approached you he could tell you had been crying. His heart broke even more as you centered your tragedy on your lost phone instead of what really had you dying inside: Nari’s pregnancy.
As you finally fell asleep he left the bedroom and dialed Namjoon’s number. He answered after the first ring.
“She is safe.” Was all Yoongi uttered.
“I’m on my w-”
“This was a courtesy call, you come here I will bash your face against a wall the very least. Do not come near here because I swear I am not afraid of the repercussions.” He hung up the phone and sighed heavily. He looked back at the closed door and a tear slipped in pain for you.
You heard voices, your eyes opened to find Yoongi watching TV in your room. You groaned in pain and squinted at the sight of him seated cross legged on the spot next to you.
“You really had to watch TV here?”
“Yup, thought you’d need these.” He showed you a cup of coffee and two small aspirins.
“You are an angel.” You went to the restroom and washed your face and brushed your teeth. You went to take the pills and coffee from Yoongi and sat next to him.
“I don’t want to ask how you feel.”
“Then don’t I don’t even think I know how I feel.”
Yoongi was silent.
“I know what I have to do.” Your voice was weak once again. “I think this is karma. I had taken what was supposed to be hers and fate just pretty much spat on my face to show me I can never have it.”
“You’re wrong. There is no way in hell you deserve what’s going on right now. I’ll support whatever you decide to do except blame yourself for this crap.”
You took a sip from the warm liquid. “Thanks.” You mumbled unconvinced.
“What are you going to do?”
“I am going to leave him.” and finally you broke down.
The first thing you wanted to do was to confront them all. You knew from Nari that everyone was aware of her pregnancy. The first stop you made was to the hospital. You knew you looked like crap, your hair pulled into a messy bun and no makeup, you were positive your eyes were swollen from all the crying.
It was easy to locate her, you knew which floor she worked on. You went directly to her floor. She was by the nurses station talking to another doctor, when he spotted you he alerted her of your presence and when she turned her face morphed into shock almost immediately.
“Y/N what ha-”
She didn’t finish because your palm made a loud violent contact with her cheek. Her hand went immediately to her face where it felt like it was burning already.
“I thought all this time that you were on my side… not even side maybe you didn’t like me but you had some sort of solidarity because you knew how I felt about him.”
“Y/N I don’t-”
“Were you going to do the abortion on her? Or were you recommending someone?”
She looked even more confused.
“For once stop pretending.”
“I have no idea what you are talking about.”
“You’re telling me you don’t know Nari’s pregnant?”
Her eyes grew wide at your words.
“You are all trash. Don’t you ever look for me ever again.” You walked away then not giving her a chance to talk again.
You made your way to your last stop, you entered Seokjin’s office without knocking. When you entered you could see the surprise in his face.
“Y/N we were so worried about you.” He went to say hello but you pushed him away.
“I thought you were different, you sent me away to convince Nari to have an abortion? You are a monster.” You accused.
“Woah what the fuck are you talking about?”
“I don’t believe a word that comes out of your mouths, is this why you see escorts? Because you are too heartless to have an actual relationship?” You were on the brink of tears.
“Listen to me Y/N I don’t know what that …. woman told you but she is lying.” He tried to defend.
“So she is not pregnant?”
“I uhm….  I don’t….” he didn’t finish he seemed confused.
“If at any point you felt any type of love or care for me you’ll draft the divorce papers and make him sign them.” You turned to leave but he reached for your arm.
“Please there has to be an explanation to all of this.” He tried to reason.
“Damn the day I said yes to him. Damn the fucking day that I fell in love with him.” You jerked your arm violently and left his office.
You went back to Yoongi’s penthouse and you went inside the bedroom. You laid down as silent tears streamed down. You were sobbing curled in a ball when Yoongi found you.
“Hey,” he lifted you to hug you tightly. “We are gonna figure this out.”
“I feel like I can’t breathe.” You sobbed. “I don’t know if I’ll survive this”
“You will, I know you will.” He soothed. “And I know just the person to help.”
The next day while you were drinking a cup of coffee there was a knock on the door.
“Yoongi there is someone at the door!” You yelled. But he didn’t come out.
You sighed and went to open the door to find Jimin standing there.
“Jimin!” He hugged you and went inside. “What are you doing here?” You frowned in confusion.
“I’m here to pick you up, Yoongi said you needed to get away for a little bit.”
“Jimin I can’t..” he lifted his hands.
“He didn’t say what happened, just that you needed to get away from everything. I know that you don’t see me romantically but I can provide an out. Somewhere safe and calm for you to heal. For however time you need.” He said.
“You have to Y/N.” Yoongi said coming out of his room. “Just for a little, go I’ll keep you updated on everything here okay?”
You looked in between the both of them.
“Okay.” You agreed.

@emzurl @fandomsilhouette I can’t even explain how hyped and inspired you guys have got me. Thank you for creating such beautiful art.
—————
At some point you stop counting. One day, the failed dates and the pit of loneliness makes you forget the last time you enjoyed yourself. It makes your self-worth shrink and shrivel until it transforms into the thing you have been fighting since you were a child; since the first time someone made you double check your own thoughts, your own conviction in that thing you knew so well. Self-doubt, as it stands, has erased what once was self-worth. It has taken bits and parts of your confidence and left it shredded beyond recognition.
As Marinette stares before her mirror in her spacious one bedroom apartment, two hours away from her next date, she thinks of this. There are shadows under her eyes she can’t remember a time they weren’t there. When she answers her phone she notes the hollow undertone to it; despite doing her best to sound cheerful and bright and happy.
When was the last time she was happy?
There should be worry there. Instead, Marinette is just not surprised. She can’t recall the last time she smiled genuinely. The last time her eyes watered not from depressing loneliness and sadness. The last time someone was able to make her feel like herself and not some ghost of the Marinette of three, four, ten years ago. She can’t even remember the last time that she was able to see a couple, a family, happy and smiling walking through the streets of Paris. When was the last time she didn’t throw a pillow at the television or change the channel because her tattered heart couldn’t stand seeing someone else enjoy what she has been searching for for twenty-three years?
Marinette inhales.
She holds her breath. Gazes over the battlescars from years of fighting.
Marinette exhales.
In the time that it takes her to change into one of her nicer outfits (this date is at a fairly popular, and affluent restaurant), brush and tie up her hair, she barely notices the time. These things have become nothing more than a blur. The excitement she used to feel pumping through her blood has long gone. Now all that stands is exhaustion. And a very poor expectation of anything good coming from her date.
When she arrives at the restaurant, the atmosphere catches her attention, if briefly. She knows the owner personally, as her parents would bake desserts for them often when she was a teenager. So the boisterous and distinguished air is as normal as sitting atop a Parisian roof at dusk.
But it isn’t until she makes it through the initial crowd of waiting customers, waiters coming to and fro and the sitting diners, that she sees the small, but almost closed off table in the farthest part of the establishment; if only a portion of it. As she gets closer to the high windows that sparkle in the light playing off the Seine, to the table where she is supposed to meet candidate number whatever, Marinette wonders if she will have to bail on this person too. If they get too pushy, she tends to just leave. If they try to pry too much on the first date, she could make them overwhelmingly uncomfortable. Or she could say nothing at all. Ugh, if Alya reached back out to—
No way.
The stoic young face that accompanied her childhood and university years is sitting at the table. He had been staring out at the water before she approached. His head turns when she is near the table, and just as he had been about to stand up to greet her he says, “Oh, it’s you.”
Correction: They both said it. A special mix of surprise, but also disbelief in their tones.
Hands on her chair, Marinette contemplates turning around. She eyes the blond man, memories she had forgotten floating up in her mind just as she does whenever she flies through the city. She can picture herself leaving him. Taking the short drive back to her one-story apartment. Taking off her shoes and handmade dress, taking her hair out of its ponytail. She would keep the lights off because she likes using the bright Paris lights to illuminate her place like they do, and then she’d lie in bed until the early dawn. She would run meaningless scenarios through her head about being swept off her feet. She would imagine what life would be like if she had stayed with Luka--just like she always promised as a teen. Her mind would eventually numb until her body moved into its normal routine.
And then she would only feel something when she became Ladybug. Saving Paris as she has for years.
In the end, she takes the seat. She smooths her skirt down, lacing her fingers in her lap. Maybe Felix could at least make her feel annoyed. Frustrated. Maybe his bland and monotone could make her feel amused. She could tease him like she did when they went to University. She stares at him.
Felix clears his throat. Blueberry eyes trained on him, she wonders what he is about to say. If he calls this date off, she could be angry with him and not loathe herself for having ended it herself.
“Miss Dupaing-chen… To say I am surprised to see you here would certainly be an understatement.” Unconsciously, her knee begins to bounce.
“Ditto.”
Felix looks off to the side for a moment. “It has been some time since I last saw you.”
“Which is surprising considering we all thought you left for America.”
At that, his green eyes flicker back to the glittering Seine. “Well, yes. It was necessary so that I could gain some new influence outside of France.” His tone, normally filled with a trademark boredom is tingling with something out of Marinette’s grasp. Did something happen?
With nothing coming to mind of how to respond to that, Marinette and Felix sink into silence. It’s only been about two years since she last saw him. Between now and then Marinette had forgotten about her old classmate. Being swamped with work, the ending of her formal education, and other, personal things, it was like “out of sight, out of mind”. Felix rarely kept social media that wasn’t managed by his father’s company, and then he stopped answering his phone, so there wasn’t any way for Marinette to reach him. She’s amazed Alya was--no, not really. Alya has been a journalist since grade school. Getting her hands on his contact info must have been fairly easy for her.
They eat their food in silence. When the check comes, and Felix pays for it, they both leave. Not arm-in-arm. Not chatting about the evening. Definitely not planning to meet each other again.
Not until Felix clears his throat, standing under the entryway as he waits for his valet. Marinette doesn’t turn, staring down the street for her way home.
The blond clears his throat again. “Ms. Dupaing-chen.”
She glances back at him. Then the street. The cab she was so close to waving down passes her, and she turns to him. Annoyed. She says nothing, waiting for whatever dumb thing he’s turning over in that pretentious brain of his.
After a moment or two, he extends his elbow. Marinette’s brow twitches. “I would like to take you for a walk. Perhaps to make up for the lack of entertainment this evening?”
Now this is shocking. So much so that, despite how relatively stone-faced she has been all evening, this brings a small blush to her face.
Felix?!
Impossible. Felix is stoic. If you looked up “pretentious” in the dictionary, you would see the picture of Felix Agreste. Yet here he is, bright green eyes steady on her, the nervous flint to them not entirely gone, but more confident than she has seen in years. His arms remains extended to her as she mulls over the shock, and then the pros and cons of going on an after-date with this former classmate.
This hasn’t happened to her in a long time. Who…? She can’t picture the last person who offered to take her somewhere that wasn’t a room with a bed in it.
If she takes his arm, she has no doubts he won’t do anything slimy. At the base of his nature, Felix was raised to be a gentleman; and one he, apparently, has remained. Where would they end up? How long does he plan to stay out? Will he criticize her appearance like he used to as children? Surely, this can’t be a prank.
The smile Felix attempts confuses her. “If you would rather not--”
“Walk along the Seine?” Her voice is weak. Her palms are sweaty so she doesn’t take his arm or his hand.
Oddly enough, he chuckles. Marinette finds herself caught off guard by it. It sounds familiar. “So long as you don’t push me in.”
It isn’t happiness or joy or love that curls her lip into a tiny smile in that moment. She doesn’t find herself wistfully planning their wedding after the first, second, or third date. She keeps her torn bits to herself until she can find the strength to ask for help in holding them together. What she does find after that is comfort. A presence that isn’t stifling or pressing her to be the same person she was ten years ago. She sees that it’s possible to like leaving the lights off and be happy with it; and nothings wrong with that.
At some point, she walks past the mirror in their bedroom, and she stares. Dark circles still remain shadowed under eyes, but they come from late nights of working and talking and laughing and loving. She runs her fingers through her hair and admires how well it looks on her now. She smiles at herself because she isn’t faking it anymore. Not all the time. Less often these days.
Her love has multiple sources now. From places she accepts and sees to be for her, and not forceful. Even though she always said no one could change the way she saw herself, or make her love anything more than herself, she has no issues with it now. Loving someone else has helped her love herself.
That’s more than enough.

I haven't seen any character x character (none that you've posted anyways) and I've been loving the ones you've made so far. So is it okay if I ask for a crack ship I've noticed recently? Tobirama x Sakura. Fluff with the whole idea that Tobirama finally has someone knowledgeable he could relate with and as much of a workaholic as he is in her respective profession. Thank you if you would considerel making this :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Workaholics
author’s note: hi hi ! this was SO MUCH FUN to write! sakura and Tobirama really are the “I-say-i-hate-you-but-i-will-prepare-you-a-feast” couple. thank you so much for requesting! I hope you like it!
also it was really long so, more below the cut!
pairings: tobirama x sakura
words: 1281
genre: fluffy!
warnings: crack ships, lol.
OFF THE BAT, let me just say, I never thought about Tobirama and Sakura together due to the, you know, decades of “life” between them.
BUT, let me also say that I actually could see them together!
Let’s start off with a couple of facts:
Sakura feels as if she’s often the only responsible one in Team 7 (yes, I AM taking about that one time where Naruto wanted to fight Sai and Sakura was trying to make up for it but ended up punching the hell out of Sai)
Tobirama, on the other hand, always feels as if HE has to do something because his idiot (CUTE) brother, Hashirama, is always dreaming about things that are just UNREALISTIC
Sakura is constantly nagging at Naruto to you know, stop being an idiot, and Tobirama is always nagging at Hashirama to stop being an idiot too.
Sakura is strong and she knows what she wants WHEN she wants it (Can we talk about the STRENGTH she has? Both physically and emotionally?)
She is someone that will tell you when she finds something annoying or that makes her uncomfortable, and she won’t try and sugar coat it either.
Tobirama is the same way, except he often leaves his feelings out of everything in his life and I feel that Sakura’s honesty would go well with that.
Sakura is independent, which is something that I believe would attract Tobirama because he does NOT have time to go around babysitting his lover. I mean could you imagine Tobirama running after his wife with the whole, “Baby, did you eat?” Yeah, no. (If he did do that, Sakura would probably sucker punch him too.)
Okay, now that we’ve established that Sakura and Tobirama are the #yourfeelingsarehurt?toobad power couple, let’s begin with the actual relationship!
Actually, Sakura and Tobirama are pretty fluffy around each other.
If somehow they both ended up leaving work early (around… let’s say, 2AM,) they would find themselves somehow eating dinner together in the couch. A small blanket would be laying on their laps with a bowl of leftovers. They would talk about their day with the TV on a random channel, the soft buzz from the TV creating a peaceful hum. After Sakura would finish, she would place her head on Tobirama’s shoulder, closing her eyes for a second while Tobirama talked about how difficult being the Hokage was and how he had to take over all of Hashirama’s prior work.
Sakura would nod, listening to him, before Tobirama would then stop talking, allowing her to vent. She would begin to explain how she was all caught up at the hospital and how annoying people were in general.
“Working in a hospital is kissing ass AND convincing patients that you KNOW what you’re talking about as if I haven’t had years of experience!”
Tobirama would sit in silence, before agreeing with Sakura and badmouthing some patients, making her laugh.
If they were to have a free day, you BET they are going to sleep in. At the beginning of their relationship, Tobirama would refuse to sleep in and cuddle because he found it pointless. Now? Tobirama is the one pulling Sakura IN.
“Tobirama—” “You work too hard, just sleep a bit more, yeah?”
Tobirama supports Sakura no matter what, let’s be real. He understands what it feels like to not be supported (considering he is the Hokage and note everyone in the village agrees with him) and although he is having to always argue about his beliefs and decisions as a leader, he never wants Sakura to feel as if she has to argue to prove her point.
If she says that she wants to quit her job, well, that’s okay! Tobirama will still nag a bit, but after he remembers that she’s an adult and that she knows what she’s doing, he quits and tells her (HOURS LATER) that he supports her.
He knows how hard it is to prove yourself to others and he never wants Sakura to feel as if she’s not seen. Any little thing Sakura does, Tobirama acknowledges. He may not acknowledge it with words, but he will definitely let her know that he’s always noticing her.
If she completed a difficult surgery that took up to 24 hours? She’ll wake up to the breakfast he left for her before leaving for work, with a little note on the fridge saying, “Proud of you.”
Sakura is the same way. If Tobirama has to leave the next day for a meeting with the Feudal Lord, she always makes sure to pack a little something for him in his bag. It’s always something random; one of her horrid energy balls/bites, a small slice of a pie she had bought earlier, a cookie, a note saying how she loved him, the list goes on.
She usually waits until he’s about to leave (not caring if she’s late to work bc lets be real, Sakura knows she just won’t ever get fired, lol #datingthehokagecheck ) and makes sure to let him know that she will just be so ANGRY if anything happens to him.
“IF YOU DIE ON ME—”
“I’m not dying, Sakura.”
“TOBIRAMA I SWEAR TO GO—” Tobirama usually kisses her after she beings to swear (it’s a frequent thing)
O h ! Kisses! Let’s talk about kisses.
Tobirama is a MAN (btw, being a man does not necessarily depend on these factors, but Tobirama is an old-school person who likes to seem so… stereotypical in front of the public) and he just doesn’t want to seem soft in any way in front of ANYONE. But inside their house? You know Tobirama expects a kiss from Sakura the minute she steps inside.
He LOVES good morning kisses, good night kisses, I love you kisses, I AM jealous but I won’t admit it kisses, I know you’re working but I still love you even though you won’t pay attention to me, and ultimately, make up kisses.
Skipping over to Tobirama; he finally feels so understood when he begins dating Sakura. He no longer has to fight for his job or how much time his job takes away from his daily life because Sakura loves her job as much as he does. He knows that all he has to do is call Sakura or meet up with her and explain that he’s working late; he loves the simplicity of it.
Sakura understand Tobirama on a completely different level than anyone has before. If Tobirama is struggling with work, Sakura wouldn’t try and pry him off of it (that would just cause even more frustration because he’s not working on it.) Instead, she would sit by him as she worked on her own paperwork and would try to encourage him to finish it.
Teamwork makes the dream work, right?
With Sakura and Tobirama, it’s ALL about teamWORK.
They have no boundaries with their work, but they keep each other in check. Sakura will force Tobirama to go to bed if he ends up staying up all night working, and Tobirama will DRAG Sakura to their home if she plans on adding too many grave-yard shifts to her schedule.
They just keep each other healthy… in their own way. (Eating instant food while working non-stop and sleeping on top of each other in their couch)
OVERALL,
Although they may not look like they have things in common from an outsider’s perspective, the mutual understanding and love that they have for one another is like no other. They are able to know what is happening without speaking much and are known to keep a healthy relationship with one another despite often working nonstop.

“What?” Julius shook his head and gathered his wits.
“Wait, so you can commune with the dead? I mean yes, you can but it’s a forbidden spell. You have no weg though?” His eyes lit up with a revelation. “Could Time Magic be considered otherworldly magic? Because that is the only way you can avoid getting weg.”
“That’s what I thought too,” Aika agreed as she led him to the living room. “but I still get weg but I don’t need a talisman or a seal to conceal it. Time is a concept that otherworldly realms also have except the realm of the Gods, so I would assume it could be considered otherworldly.”
“But just because it exists in other realms doesn’t mean it’s considered otherworldly. Plants exist in other realms, but they’re not otherworldly. Do we know what was the first realm ever created?”
Aika stifled a sigh as Julius took off his boots as he sat next to her on the sofa.
“He sure likes to edge himself,” she thought wryly as she fetched the fluffy blanket on the armchair and threw it over their laps as they planted their feet on the coffee table in front of them.
“‘The realm of the Devils was the first to be created in order to obscure the light of Gods and bring about reality.’ It’s one of the first things you learn about otherworldly magic,” she explained as she moved closer to his side.
“Well, time would’ve existed first in the Devil’s realm then…You think I could use weg magic too if Time Magic really is otherworldly?”
“Julius! Don’t even think about it! Trying to do weg magic without a teacher is quite dangerous.”
“Hehe, I got a teacher right here,” he quipped as he shifted around feet in a futile attempt to move the blanket comfortably under his feet. Aika jumped when his cold feet touched her ankle.
“Woah, didn’t you just take your feet out of your boots?”
He rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed smile.
“Haha, yeah. I’m always cold.”
“Well, it explains why you wear so many layers,” she grumbled as she shifted the blanket to cover his feet. She lit up when an idea struck her.
“Here,” she spread her arms. “I’m warmer.”
Julius stared at her, his mouth open in small “O” before his eyes crinkled at the corners and he let out an amused laugh.
Aika knew she was done for when her heart danced to the sound of his laughter. She controlled her breathing and prayed that he heard nothing as he burrowed into her arms. He wrapped his arms around her waist and threw his legs over her thighs and she instinctively hugged him closer and huffed at how tactile he was.
“Thank you!” He looked up at Aika through his lashes, making her catch her breath. “Would you still teach me how to do weg magic?” He asked softly.
She melted under his gaze and pressed her cheek to his hair.
“Why do you want to learn? Do you want to talk to someone in the After?” Then she remembered. “Do you want to talk to your mother?”
Julius stiffened in her arms and she immediately backtracked “Sorry, I didn’t mean—”
“Yes…” He admitted hesitantly. “She vanished the night I was born…”
“Oh, I’m sorry.”
“Nothing to be sorry about. My stepmother, my mom, raised me with love and I’m grateful for her, but I’m just curious about my real mother. She vanished the night I was born. I just sometimes wonder who she was, what happened to her…” His father had always cursed his mother’s name and barely looked at Julius because of how much he reminded him of her. It was a good thing his stepmother came along and raised him as if he were her own.
He yawned and nuzzled against her collarbone. She shivered at the tender gesture and pressed a kiss to his hairline as he giggled.
“I guess you would be,” Aika said understandingly. “I was curious about my own mother too.” Julius looked up at her in interest. “I was adopted. The men who found me, well, they found me next to my mother’s body.”
He winced in sympathy and hugged her tightly.
“It’s alright. I didn’t know her but I tried contacting her in the After but...She kept blocking the connection for some reason…” Aika looked down at him as she smoothed his hair.
Once upon a time, that rejection hurt, but she’s over it now. The men who found Aika found her freshly born, barely cleaned and the umbilical cord still uncut, lying in a misshapen basket next to her mother’s cooling body, whose throat was slit with a knife that was loosely held in the corpse’s hand. Something obviously happened to her and she didn’t want to talk.
“I can help contact your mother if she’s truly dead. You don’t have to do forbidden rituals,” she promised as she chased the dark thoughts away. While she didn’t remember anything about it, the story that they told her still haunted her.
Julius sat up as he pulled away and looked at her intently. His face was neutral but his eyes were searching. Aika grew nervous with the long silence.
Finally his eyes settled on her hairline as he asked, “Can you show me your weg?” A sharp sort of rejection zapped through her when he ignored her offer. She turned away, miffed. Of course she wasn’t going to show him her weg. Bringing it out meant having negative emotions at the forefront of her mind.
“That’s a very personal thing, Julius,” she grumbled to alleviate the seriousness welling up in her. He smiled with a huff. It would be a long while before they gained each other’s trust and Julius was a patient man. While it would be amazing to see what weg looks like first-hand, she wasn’t comfortable with it and that was okay. He can wait.
“There is another reason why I can’t teach you weg magic,” she began as she leaned on the armrest. “To use weg magic, you often need to channel and control your negative emotions to make it work, unfortunately. And the thing is,” Aika turned to him with a dark look. “I don’t sense much from you,” her eyes flickered down to his lap “except maybe frustration.”
Julius resisted the urge to sigh. There was no need for them to get so somber but it can’t be helped in the direction this conversation was going. He had asked her a lot of questions and made her reveal a lot about herself, but he said next to nothing about himself. That had to change if he needed her to trust him.
“You sensed right,” Julius confessed. “I am frustrated, but not in the way you think I am,” he stared melancholically at the faded crescent shaped scars in the palm of his hand. “I am frustrated by the way the elite think of other people, the way they get to control this kingdom to fit their selfish needs, the way they lack any compassion for people who are suffering. It may not seem personal but I’ve made it my duty to correct this kind of thinking.”
“See, that’s honorable and only frustration. Is there a memory or anything driving it? Like a traumatic event?”
Julius remembered Zara and his shining smile and how he was cut down by his own squadmates out of jealousy. He looked at his hand with a shaky breath.
“Yes.”
“Okay...Are you frustrated to the point of anger?”
“Yes.”
“Angry enough to kill?”
He remembered thanking the rain for hiding his tears as he laid the flowers over Zara’s grave. He remembered holding back from disintegrating the Purple Orca Knights where they stood as they celebrated Zara’s death. He thought of Zora, Zara’s son, and how bitter he turned out.
Julius turned to her with deadened eyes.
“Yes.”
Aika slackened as she sighed.
“That’s what I was afraid of,” she admitted as she cupped his cheek. “You’re a beautiful human being,” she whispered as she brushed his lashes with her thumb. He flushed under her gaze. “Killing is part of your job but it’s not driven by blind rage. Even righteous anger can be exploited by this magic. Weg will only encourage these negative emotions to fester and grow. I will not allow that to happen to someone I lo—”
She paused and desperately flipped through her mental dictionary. She hated that word.
“Someone I like.” There. That was better. She gave herself a mental pat on the back. While that was a good save, she quickly needed to change the subject or this was going to get awkward real fast.
“But I will help you in any way you need. You want a Clover Kingdom with no discrimination? I’ve got many ideas!” She pulled a small notebook and fountain pen out of nowhere. It might’ve been a little extra but too late. “Let’s start with education, what is taught in etiquette for noble children, and the rest of the kingdom, what kind of attitudes we are encouraging. Then we’ll move on to deliberate economic oppression and think about policy changes. Let’s see how we can convince people in power to be more empathetic and just. A lot of things can change if we change the way this country thinks. I heard the Kira prodigy was going to become the new chairman soon. I think we can start there...”
Julius parted his lips in shock as he stared at her with dazzled eyes. Aika continued listing off ideas as she scribbled them in her notebook, completely unaware of the awestruck man next to her.
He tackled her into a hug and wrapped himself around her again and moved her arm around his shoulder, encouraging her to hold him close. Julius didn’t know how to explain how grateful he was so he chose to show it instead.
Her book and pen slipped out of her hand as she hugged him back. Since Aika was already leaning on the armrest, he turned her completely to the side so he could lay half on top of her.
Julius worried for a moment that he was being too forward but she wound her fingers through his hair and allowed him to rest his head on top of her pillowy chest. Aika readily wrapped her legs around his torso as she sighed contentedly.
“Thank you,” he whispered at last. “No one believes that this kingdom could change.”
Aika resisted the urge to snort. “Any state can change with a revolution.” He looked up at her mischievously. She brushed his cheek with the back of her hand with a barely suppressed smile. “Your not-so-little dream is a revolution and you’re lucky I can’t resist one.”
They grinned at each other before making themselves comfortable again. Julius reveled in the warmth of her embrace and shivered pleasantly when she wrapped the blanket around his shoulders. She gently began massaging his head and he felt like melting.
A grin spread across his face when he realized that for the first time in his life, he didn’t feel any excitement tinged with lust, but rather excited to know that someone is ready to accept him, whether it was his touch, ideas, or his childish nature, someone who was ready to be a part of a bloodless revolution.
Julius turned his head and rested his chin lightly against her breastbone. Aika was already looking down at him with an affectionate look and he smiled back.
“Are you actually going to help me change this kingdom?”
“Of course. Why would I lie about such a thing?”
“I’m just making sure.”
He buried his face in her chest with a giddy smile.
“You’re a beautiful human being too.”
She scoffed lightly.
“Every part of that sentence is highly debatable.”
He giggled as he crawled up to her eye level. “No, I mean it,” he pressed a kiss to her forehead. “You are stunning. ”
Aika blushed fiercely.
“No, I’m not!”
“ And a human being too,” he continued as he peppered her face with kisses. “Absolutely kind, ferocious, wickedly smart.”
She slid down the armrest as she resisted the urge to hide her face.
“Stop it…”
He nuzzled her cheek with his nose. She looked so delectable under him.
“Can I kiss you?”
Aika turned and pressed her lips to his in unspoken permission. He slipped his tongue into her mouth and groaned at the delicious way they slid against each other.
“Let me touch you,” he whispered hoarsely against her lips.
“ Please, ” Aika gasped as cold fingers slid underneath her sweater. Julius rubbed circles into her sides before he raked his nails up, making her shudder. She wound her fingers tighter around his short hair and kissed harder as she willed her Mana Hands to explore him.
He let out a surprised moan as he pressed his forehead against hers. She ran her hands down his back and hooked her fingers into his belt and pulled him closer as she wrapped her legs around his waist, bringing him closer to her aching core.
Julius hissed in pleasure as he rut into her and moaned as nails raked down his most sensitive areas. She quickly undid the belt holding his outer tunic together and helped him shrug off the vest and ran her fingers under his shirt. She explored his toned stomach with a pleased hum as he ground into her desperately.
“ So needy, ” she whispered teasingly in his ear and gasped in surprise when his clothed length rubbed perfectly against her clit.
He groaned in reply and slowed down and pulled back to look down at her. Aika thoroughly enjoyed the image in front of her. Julius with his shirt hiked up, displaying a fit body, his lips red and hair all mussed up as he rolled his hips like an erotic dancer.
She teasingly ran a nail up the valley of his abs and he retaliated by pushing her shirt up past her bra. She watched with a pleased smile as he licked his lips at the sight before him. She wore a black, silk bra that barely hid the erect nipples standing at attention. He ran his hands up and squeezed her breasts lightly and pinched her nipples through the bra, smiling mischievously as he did. He noticed the clasp at the front and looked at her permissively. She nodded and let him undo it. As the silk fell, his jaw fell with it.
“Holy shit,” she heard him whisper as she cupped her tits with a wink.
Julius eagerly ducked his head as he covered her hands with his and licked a long stripe across her erect nipple and latched onto it greedily, sucking as he did. She arched into his mouth with a loud moan, glad that he was finally giving attention to her as well.
He switched to the other nipple, making sure that they both were completely erect before he pulled back to look at her with a dark look.
Aika squirmed under his gaze as her hand slowly inched towards her neglected clit. He observed voyeuristically as her hand disappeared under her skirt and cupped her mound. Julius locked eyes with Aika for an electric moment before she threw her head back as she pleased herself.
He watched for a few moments as she let out gaspy moans before he pulled her hand out and bit his lip at the sight of her glistening fingers. He took one lick of her fingers and groaned at the taste.
“Want to taste more?” Aika asked lowly as she spread her legs wider. He nodded as his nostrils flared at the smell of her arousal. She pulled Julius in for a featherlight kiss and touched his lips with her wet fingers and watched as he took them then into his mouth and sucked on them.
“Oh, you like using your mouth?” He nodded. She tightened her hold in his hair as he hissed and pulled him up for a sloppy kiss, a mash of tongue, teeth and lips.
“If you like using your mouth so much, how about you put it to a better use?” Aika growled as she guided his head down her body.
She hiked up her skirt and Julius’ breath hitched at the sight of her wet lace panties and the dagger strapped to her right thigh. He was completely pressed up against her just a few moments ago. How in the world did he miss that?
Before he could speak, she unbuckled it with practiced ease and threw it to the side. He could ask more questions later, but for now, he focused on the meal before him.
Julius quickly helped her out of the panties and stared at her glistening folds in fascination before he lapped up the juices at her entrance. Aika muffled a cry at the sudden sensations and the feel of his lips and tongue all at once. She was suddenly, gloriously alive, every fibre of her being seemingly electrified in an instant. She revelled in the hot currents of desire coiling through her core, as every muscle tightened, waiting for the trigger that would release her.
He then moved up and covered her clit with his mouth and suckled on it. He rolled it in circles, delighting in the noises pouring out from her mouth, before an idea struck him.
He held her hips down with his hands, languorously stroking her clit with his tongue before speeding his movements with a touch of his Time Magic. Aika bit back a scream and let out a litany of curses as she bucked and squirmed into his mouth. Her legs twitched as a delicious kind of pressure built up in her core. She fisted her fingers in his hair, eliciting a moan from Julius and sending vibrations through her body.
She looked down at the sight between her splayed legs and it was the last straw for her. His eyebrows were furrowed in concentration, his lips wet as his tongue flicked her clit in a near blur. She arched into his mouth with a loud groan as her orgasm crashed over her in an explosion of ecstasy; but Julius kept going on.
“Wait, that’s enough. Julius, please!”
He slowed down and let go of her clit with a pop. He looked up at her with a wolfish grin, satisfied with the mess he made of her. Her eyes were glazed over from, her baby hair was stuck to her forehead as she breathed heavily through parted lips.
Julius rested his head against her thigh and stared at her with a small smile as she came down from her high.
Aika sat up slowly and brought him up for a kiss, tasting herself on his tongue. She pulled her sweater over her head and began kissing along his jaw as she whispered praises.
“Gods, you were so good, you know that? Used your mouth like it was made to eat pussy.” Julius groaned at her words. “You were such a good boy. Good boys like you deserve a reward, right?” He nodded eagerly as her hand inched down his chest.
“Please,” he whined as her hand curled around the inside of his thigh, not quite touching him. She slid off the sofa and kneeled between his legs as she grinned mischievously at him, but inside she was drooling at the thought of finally having his cock in her mouth. He stared at her, wide-eyed as he breathed harder in anticipation.
Aika looked between his impressive bulge and his darkened eyes.
“Can I?” She asked as her hands slid up his legs, feeling the muscles flex under her touch.
“Please,” he whispered again.
She stopped teasing him, getting impatient herself, and unbuttoned his pants and slid his boxers down. Aika’s jaw dropped as his stiff cock sprung up. It was freaking massive. The head was turning a dark shade of purple from being neglected for so long and veins covered his length. It was as long as her head and thick enough to stretch her lips over her limits. It looked delicious.
She mindlessly helped him out of his pants and then looked up at him to make sure he was doing okay. His face was flushed a deeper red than before, waiting patiently for her next move.
“Please, Aika,” Julius humped at the air in front of her. “Please, I can’t take it anymore.”
Aika grew dizzy at the way he begged. She felt as if she was kneeling at the altar between his legs, praying up to the idol that lay in the middle. She was caught by the sudden urge to worship, to praise every inch of his skin. A bead of pre-cum gathered at the tip of his cock and all her restraint left.
Lush lips closed over the head of his cock and Aika sucked and sucked, moaning at the taste. Julius let out an incoherent yell as his hands flew to her head. He quite literally saw stars. It was an effort to hold back, to not thrust deeply in the hot cavern of her mouth as waves of pleasure enveloped him.
“Fuck!”
She bobbed her head down as far as she could as one hand played with his taunt balls. Tears gathered at her lashes as the tip hit the back of her throat every single thrust.
Aika pulled back and sucked the tip harder as she swiped her tongue around the slit. She used her warm hands to pump his length as her Mana Hands roamed his body, playing with his sensitive nipples, wringing his head back by pulling his hair.
Julius did not hold back with his words. All kinds of praises rolled off of his tongue as he lightly thrust into her mouth.
“Fuck, you look so hot with your lips around me. Ah-you use your tongue so well. Mmm, just like that,” he groaned.
Aika moaned when he twitched in her mouth. She understood that he was close, so she stretched her jaw wide, swiftly pressed forward and wrapped her lips around the base of cock as he came, whispering her name. Her eyes rolled back into her head as his thick load hit the back of her throat.
She swallowed thickly and pulled back with a sigh and held his softening dick in one hand as she pressed featherlight kisses to the head.
“Are you okay?” Julius asked softly as he brushed the hair out of her face. Aika smiled as she continued kissing lightly down his length.
“I’m more than okay,” she murmured cheekily, nuzzling the downy hair at the base. She quickly climbed into his lap and straddled him while avoiding pressing down. She hugged him tight and buried her face in his neck.
“I liked choking on your dick,” she giggled.
“Hey!” He exclaimed as her words sent a thrill down his spine. “I can’t do a second round yet!”
In the end, they were both too tired for a second round. They had quite an eventful day after all. The two made their way to the bedroom upstairs to settle in for the night as they chatted quietly.
Aika handed Julius a pale green nightshirt and fleece pants to wear and went to go freshen up in the bathroom. He quickly put them on and jumped underneath the covers and shivered. Despite the normal temperature in the room, Julius was always cold, much to his dismay, but it was quite nice to bury himself in blankets and keep a comfortable temperature.
He was staring pensively at the sheets when Aika walked out. She wore a shirt and comfortable shorts and had her arms behind her back as if she was hiding something.
When he looked at her curiously, she revealed a pair of fluffy socks with a huge smile and waved them at him.
“Ta-da!”
Julius sat up with a chuckle. That was quite thoughtful of her.
“Are those for me?”
“Yes,” she sidled up to him. “I could keep your feet warm for you, but I wanted to make sure you were comfortable.”
“That’s...very nice of you.” She was one of the few people who wasn’t intimidated by him and spoke so frankly with him. Being with someone just as himself felt so new and interesting. He gave her one of his bright smiles. “Thank you.”
Aika fought off a blush and busied herself by putting the socks on for him. He pulled her up for a hug and held her close. She wrapped both her arms around his neck and fell back onto the bed. Julius pressed little kisses on her collarbone and neck and settled his head on her shoulder with a big yawn.
“Goodnight, Aika,” Julius murmured.
“Goodnight, Julius,” she whispered back and pressed a kiss to his hair.
She stared up at the ceiling for a moment before she understood that she wasn’t going to fall asleep tonight either. She sighed heavily into Julius’ hair.
Using forbidden magic had cost Aika a part of her humanity: the part that sleeps. She needed to be incredibly tired or sedated with horse tranquilizers to be put to sleep, there was simply no other way. In the beginning, it was jarring to not be able to sleep and a little harsh on her eyes for being open so long. When she tried sleeping again, she would be constantly plagued by inescapable visions of the future, the far-off future, like visions of a dark tree and the world being overrun by darkness, and it all starts in this kingdom.
Aika was grateful she couldn’t see her immediate future unless she concentrated but visions of worlds ending and dead family weren’t good for her mental health either.
She preferred to focus on the upsides like more time available for her to get her paperwork done and focus on things she enjoyed doing during the day or even travel and check in on her departments as she did.
Working for one of only four international companies makes Aika a pretty busy woman so she was grateful for the extra time. The company began as a means to establish a global spy and information network but it quickly escalated into an operation that dipped its toes into nearly every industry. She was particularly fond of the R&D and Education & Career development departments and paid very close attention to them. In fact, she had to approve a big budget change for a major building project from R&D. Something about finally figuring out how to use a counterweight to construct tall buildings and be able to withstand winds.
She eyed her backpack which rested on the desk against the wall on her side. It had all the papers that she needed to look over and sign. The paper explaining the details was rather long, so if she could finish going over it by the end of the night, that would be perfect.
Aika could use Mana Zone to extend the range of her Mana Hands spell to get that backpack but she could wake Julius up. She checked to make sure he was asleep and he was, quietly snoring away with a little smile on his face.
She envied people who can sleep with a smile on their faces.
And just as she was about to reach for her bag, Julius shifted in her arms and looked up groggily.
“Wha—” He looked warily at the arm reaching out. “Go to sleep,” he sighed as he made himself comfortable again. “Let’s go on a date sometime. I’ll make a really good sandwich,” murmured sleepily before growing still again.
What? A date?
His words felt like she had been dunked with a bucket of ice water. Aika finally realized what she did, and more importantly what her drunk-self said. She really let him believe this was something romantic, didn’t she? Sure, she wished she could date, but in the end, she would screw it all up. All her past lovers had been amazing people, honorable people, but in the end, they’ve all just hated her. The aura of forbidden magic around just put them off. In fact, people closest to her, her family and friends, couldn’t spend too much time around her without their behaviour taking a turn for the worse.
It was one of the reasons why Holly couldn’t spend too much time with her. It’s the curse of using forbidden magic so much, for so long. Her aura changes good people to turn into someone they are not. The loneliness must be really catching up to her because she forgot herself for a moment and let him in. If she hung around him for another week or two, he would go from being this sweet, adorable man to being an utter asshole to her and everyone around him.
She can’t do this.
Aika looked down at his messy, blond hair and listened to him breathe. He tilted his head back, eyes still closed and a small smile spread across his face.
Her mind went blank. Her heart beat harder in her chest. Butterflies she thought had died years ago had suddenly roared back to life.
Her head hurt. She felt like crying.
She let herself be vulnerable too. She let herself fall for him, even if it’s just a little bit. She told herself to breathe.
It’s someone you barely know.
But Aika knew damn well that some strangers have affected her life a lot in the first few moments she had met them. She looked at him again. Was he one of them?
She craved the intimacy, but in the end it was all ruined because of her stupid decison to study and master forbidden magic. Of course it was very useful and empowering, putting her at the top of the chain, but at what cost?
Aika simply couldn’t be around another person nearly 24/7 like she would be if she was in a serious relationship. She let out a heavy sigh and rubbed her eyes. It’s just a crush. It doesn’t matter.
She gently slipped his arms off of her and gave him a pillow as a substitute. He snuggled into it with another one of his adorable smiles, causing Aika’s breath to hitch. She gripped the sheets as she looked away and emptied her head.
She had a lot of work to do.
Aika hummed tunelessly as she carefully pulled out the sfougato, a greek-style quiche-like omelette, from the oven. She finished reading the report from last night, washed Julius’ clothes, fixed the stone tablet protecting this house, destroyed the explosive token hovering in the living room, sent out her letters and even finished working out.
She smiled at the night well-spent, but her mood was quickly clouded over by the fact that she had to turn Julius down. Not only that, but she also had to somehow salvage it to resemble some form of professionalism.
If Aika was being honest, she liked Julius a lot. He was incredibly handsome, smart, strong and a Time Mage to boot. His most attractive traits were his kind eyes, his easy smile and most importantly, his willingness to be vulnerable. That sort of purity drew Aika in like a moth to a flame. She wasn’t kind, and she certainly didn’t smile often, but it was easy to be like that around him. Her guard did fly up once or twice but she wasn’t as high strung around him. She felt oddly safe.
She cut the quiche into slices and wiped her hands on her apron. She turned around and looked at the garden out her window. The rising sun felt warm and comforting on her skin, gently soothing the lump in her throat. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply, soaking in the mana she could sense in the sun’s rays, mana that favored her because she raised a daughter born from its light. It was mornings like these that made her understand why her daughter worshipped the sun.
The sound of feet quickly bounding down the stairs broke her concentration. She turned around expectantly but she was quickly tackled by a hug before she could get a clear look at the man who had once again been plaguing her thoughts all night.
“Good morning, Aika,” he whispered into her hair as she reluctantly wrapped her arms around him.
“Morning, Julius.”
He pulled back and grinned down at her but she stared through him, eyes blank, knowing that once she truly processes the man she is talking to, her words would leave her and she wouldn’t be able to do what she needs to do.
And then he caught her lips with his, and with unprecedented passion that stole the breath from her lungs. Aika barely reciprocated, because just as quickly as he kissed her, he stopped. She licked her lips and tasted the faint coolness of mint. He was considerate enough to not kiss her with his morning breath…
“I feel well-rested despite only sleeping four hours,” he murmured as Aika blinked quickly, fending off the unexpected emotions that welled up within her.
“I used a spell of mine to give you extra time to sleep. Here,” she offered him a plate of the sfougato. It was a peace offering for what was coming really. “I hope you like it. I’ll grate some more feta on it if you want.”
“Wait,” Julius looked at his plate in shock. “is this sfougato?”
Aika hummed affirmative as she looked away. She couldn’t bear to look at him in the face. She knew that once she did, her resolve would fall.
He cupped her cheek with one hand and kissed her again, this time much more sweetly.
“Thank you! My mother used to make them for me almost every morning!” He furrowed his brows when she stayed quiet. “Is everything alright? You’re so quiet.” Julius blushed as a thought struck him. “Does your throat hurt?”
The memories of last night set Aika’s heart racing again.
“No! That’s not the issue! I’m just,” she clenched her fists. “Quiet in the morning.”
“Oh, that’s alright then.” He pressed a kiss to her cheek and moved to sit at the table. “Have you eaten yet?”
She turned and gripped the edge of the sink. Even his voice distressed her.
“Ah, no,” Aika answered nonchalantly. She could explain as they ate. She shrugged her apron off and turned around but she froze at the sight.
Julius cocked his head at her with a questioning look as he leaned on his hands. His face was half-illuminated by the morning sun, his violet eyes glittered like diamonds and his hair shone gold, casting an angelic halo.
He looked beautiful.
“Hey,” his expression grew worried and he set his plate down. “You are definitely not okay.” Julius quickly walked around the table and took her hands in his and wiped a stray tear. She blinked. She didn’t know she was crying. Usually, she would’ve been so embarrassed to cry in front of people, but why is she letting her guard down in front of him? “What’s wrong, Aika?”
His face was too close. She could clearly count the lashes framing his alarmed eyes.
“Nothing,” she said quickly as she wiped her face. “Nothing’s wrong.” She sat down in the nearest chair and sighed. Julius leaned against the table and waited patiently. He tucked a long strand of her dark hair behind her ear as she spoke.
“I don’t think we should keep doing this.”
His hand fell. What? He must’ve misheard her.
“This would be unprofessional in the long-run.”
“But last night you said—”
“Last night, I was drunk,” Aika gritted out. Julius crossed his arms.
“I’m talking about after, Aika. What about the talk of revolution? What about after?” His face hardened. “Was it all to just get into my pants?”
“What?!” she barely held back her shock. She was not that desperate. “No!”
Julius’ sighed. His aura usually helped people to open up quicker unless they really don’t want to tell him. He took her hands again, kneeled down in front of her and rubbed slow circles with his thumb.
“Then please tell me why.”
Aika still refused to look him in the eye. This whole thing felt strange.
“I will be your associate and it would be unprofessional. I also have a daughter and I don’t know if you’re okay with that.” She was giving him bullshit reasons at this point because he really didn’t need to know her true reasons. He didn’t need to know how lonely she was. “I have an incredibly negative reputation on the international stage that would damage any prospects for you to network with helpful people if you and I are closely associated. You are a public figure and your reputation wouldn’t benefit from associating with a forbidden magic user and a peasant.”
Julius gulped thickly. He really didn’t care about those. He didn’t mind at all but Aika seemed so intent on pushing him away.
“Aika, please, I don’t care.”
“Well, you should! You should think about the long-term!”
His voice took a panicked tone. He thought this was going well but something’s wrong. This was him being selfish. He didn’t want to be lonely anymore. He was guaranteed to become Wizard King so she wouldn’t be a distraction. He was so excited for someone like her to be at his side.
“I am thinking about the long-term and I absolutely do not care,” He put his hands together. “Please, I’m begging you—”
“Stop,” Aika growled “Don’t.”
Julius slackened at the dark look on her face.
“What?”
“Stand up.” He froze, unsure of her command. “Did I stutter?” He quickly scrambled to his feet and took a step back as she stood up.
“First thing’s first,” Aika crossed her arms as her face grew stern. “don’t ever beg unless you are in the bedroom.” A blush raced across his cheeks. “Second, you barely know me. Third, there’s a war, more importantly, the finale, so please forget about this. I have to go inspect the outposts at the southern borders today before the paperwork from my main job comes pouring in. I advise you to think about your own work as well,” she took a deep breath. “You deserve better than this,” she motioned at herself. Aika desperately held the tears at bay as her mind screamed,
You’re cursed! No one can love you anymore! And it’s all your fault!
“You are going to be the king of an entire kingdom. I promise to serve you to the best of my abilities. You’re going to need all the help you can get, but I can’t be your partner,” she hugged herself and looked away from his heartbroken face. Her words kept twisting a dagger in his heart. It was better to change the subject. “As I said, I’m not particularly a patriot but this continent, specifically Clover Kingdom, has been heading towards dark times. As a Time Mage, you can feel it too, right?” He gave her a nearly imperceptible nod though his eyes were still glassy. “You’re going to have to lead this country safely through those times, and out of respect for the country that had raised me, I will help you too.”
Julius closed his eyes and took a moment to compose himself. He wanted to run, his head hurt, he wanted to scream in frustration.
“I understand your reasons and they are valid,” he resisted the urge to clench his fists. “And thank you. I’ll appreciate the help. I have also sensed a dark future for this kingdom and...having a second opinion on my hunch would be nice...I—” He rubbed his eyes with the balls of his palms. He looked up and raked a hand through his hair, then looked down at her, his expression masked with a gentle smile. Even looking at her felt like torture to him, how could they ever collaborate on anything? She had given him such great hope, and then she dashed it all. “I had a lovely time.”
Aika smiled back hesitantly, though her nails dug into her arm.
“I did too...Your clothes are washed and folded on the vanity in my bedroom,” she mumbled. He noiselessly teleported away and he was instantly back, fully dressed. She opened her mouth to ask how? But snapped it shut when she remembered that she wasn’t the only Time mage around anymore. He looked regal and handsome, put-together like a leader as he adjusted his collar. But his carefully neutral expression barely hid the hurt glimmering in his eyes. He was still a man too, a man whom Aika had deeply hurt with her unexpected rejection.
She moved as quickly as he did and packed the slice of sfougato in a box.
“It’s for you.”
“Thank you.”
Aika nearly jumped when her fingers brushed with his. They were soft and cool to touch. For a moment, she wanted to reach out and hold his hand, cradle his face and watch him lean into her touch like he did last night.
“May I ask you one favor?”
Her lavender eyes flickered up to his violet ones when he spoke.
“Yes?”
He squared his shoulders and looked at her solemnly.
“May I have one final kiss?”
Her heart leapt to her throat as she stared at him in shock. Was that a good idea? She was struggling to push him away and this would not help her. But, it was too late because her hand was already reaching for his face.
Aika cupped his cheek and his hand covered hers with a deep sigh. Julius let her touch be burned into his memory. She stood closer to him and tugged him down. As their noses brushed against each other and when his yearning gaze met hers, her guard fell and she gave in.
Her lips crashed with his with a desperation she vowed to never stoop to, but here she was, her walls being struck down one-by-one with each passing second, consumed by his frenzied kisses. Julius wound one hand into her hair and another around her waist pulling her tight as he desperately prayed that she’ll change her mind.
Julius pulled back so they could catch their breaths and pressed his forehead against hers as he waited for a response.
“Julius…” Aika whispered.
“Yes?”
“I’m sorry.”
His arms tightened around her momentarily and then he let go. As she opened her eyes, the last thing she saw were tears that teetered on the edge of his lashes before he vanished, gone like he was never there.
Her hand reached out as if to catch him but it was too late. The moment he left, Aika could distinctly feel the hollowness in her chest, like something was missing. Though he was cold, the kitchen felt colder without him.
She stood frozen in her spot and lightly touched her chest when the regret set in. She replayed his smile, his dazzled eyes, the way his soft hair threaded between her fingers—
“Miss Aika!” A familiar voice broke jarringly through the misery that was clouding her mind.
Was that Jayce?
“We can see you in the kitchen, Miss!” Ellie exclaimed as she knocked on the door to the backyard. Her maid was here too…
Aika quickly changed gears, unconvincingly telling herself that everything from last night to a few seconds ago was just a fever dream, and threw on a pleasant smile before opening the door.
Jayce waved an envelope in front of her face with a boyish grin, too bright and awake for 6 A.M. Ellie and Evan on the other hand, look like they’ve been through it.
“Mister Arthur asked me to give this to you first thing in the morning!” Jayce explained as he swaggered in, gravitating towards the pan of sfougato. Aika plucked the envelope out of his hand as she took measured breaths to ease the tremors in her hands.
“It was weird that he came to the headquarters so late but he said it was urgent,” he explained.
“Good morning, ma’am,” Evan greeted with a slow bow of his head and Ellie gave her a simple hug, too tired to even speak.
“Good morning to you too, kids,” Aika looked between them suspiciously “but do all three of you need to be here to deliver an envelope?”
“We came here for breakfast,” Ellie said bluntly as all three of them sat down at the table. “The chefs at the headquarters are too busy because Master Raymond is stress-eating again.”
“Oh, alright,” Aika sighed as she pressed a hand to her forehead. “You three can join me,” she said as she stared at the wax seal. It was the official Pascere Syndicate logo. She rolled her eyes. It was probably information or an assignment, but going by the thin envelope, it was probably an assignment.
“Save me a slice,” she warned as she turned away to read the letter.
Her eyes skimmed through the obnoxiously elitist greetings that Arthur loves to write “ironically” and she came to find that yes, it was an information-gathering and networking assignment as her side-job as a Special Envoy to the Syndicate, and it was on—
The threesome jumped in alarm when the letter in Aika’s hand exploded into flames. They quickly surrounded her in concern as Evan stamped the fire out but froze when they noticed the dangerously blank look on her face.
Aika controlled her magic, lest she suffocated her associates. She had unfortunately set the letter on fire before she could read the clear details of her assignment, so she would have to go ask Arthur for the details herself. While she was at it, she might as well set him on fire too.
The subject of her assignment was Heir Presumptive to the Wizard King of Clover Kingdom, Julius Novachrono...The last person Aika wanted to see right now.
Notes: Next chapter, depending on the length, it will for sure include a brief scene or two from the final battle and Julius' coronation, the aftermath and a sneaky assassination attempt, this time, for Julius ;)
btw this is the picture I drew for this chapter!!!

Come back.
Nymai and Theron - freshly written and a little bit raw but you get that with a prompt a day. So have a little bit of an all over the place fic?
Prompt number: 1 (“no, come back!”)
Fandom: Star Wars the Old Republic
Rating: G
Pairing: Theron Shan/ Nymai (OC) Title: Where you Came From Warning: Discuses a little about slavery.
“No, come back!” His voice was irritated, and they were starting to get looks from people who were passing by the Commander’s quarters on Odessan. Nymai shrugged and kept walking as Theron ran to catch up.
“Ny.. c’mon… I wasn’t …. I didn’t…” Theron stuttered as Nymai turned, to onlookers the Sith looked angry, though it was never a sure thing with a pureblood - they often looked angry regardless. “Not here, Theron.” he shook his head  jutting his chin at the curious onlookers “Outside.”
They made their way to the lift that would take them downstairs.
“I’m sorry,” Theron muttered. “I should have thought before I said that.”
“No… we need to talk about it, just… not inside where everyone can hear us.” Nymai sighed in frustration “Really should see about soundproofing my quarters.”
As they exited and stood in the sunlight near Nymai’s ship, the old fury he flew around the galaxy, and became a sith lord on. Dusty, now he didn’t use it constantly, and yet still home. His ancestor had even appeared on there, of all things, hopefully, that ghost was resting now. “My mother died in those camps, I had a sister who was taken away, and there is… “ Nymai sighed “there is the fact I was a slave. I know what it was like.”
“I didn’t know your mother died in the slave camps.” Theron glanced at his husband with a sad look “I even forget that you were one too.”
“Slaves are not things to be listed as numbers, they are people,” Nymai replied as they rounded the corner of the ship. “Especially by the Alliance that I am the leader of.” “I know. I will fix it. I am sorry.” Theron sighed “It is easy for me to get caught up in the work and forget about the people I am dealing with, doing this for.”
They had found a slave camp; a place where human lives were traded back and forth for pleasure and work. Theron had been trying to do logistics, numbers, instead of people, and he had said as much to Nymai.
“Was it... I mean how was it?” Theron stuttered a little, it was hard to ask about something so deeply disturbing on every level to the happy Nymai he was used to. They had talked at length about Mast Zhou and some of the different things Theron has done. How he had only barely connected to his father, and that his mother was absent - and had disappeared again. “You know my past, but  we don’t really talk much about yours.”
“It was a while ago, I admit time does ease the pain,” Nymai nodded, gesturing that they should sit down and relax on the ramp that led to the fury. “Even being a sith lord was a while ago.”
“I guess I forget sometimes, you have lived this whole other life.” Theron paused a little to lean back against Nymai on the ramp. “Without me.”
“I wish… “ Nymai started then shook his head “No, I would not wish that on anyone, let alone on you, the Empire is not a kind place to anyone.”
“You really had to fight to get through?”
“Everything in the Empire is a fight - even if you are born in the right places, with the right amount of force, and so on, it is a fight to be noticed, be someone.”
“I never thought of it that way; we always just imagine the Empire as something evil and Imperials as this collective evil machine we need to fight against,” Theron said it lightly but the facts behind the statement were sound. The Republic propaganda machine had been saying the same rhetoric for years. If he had not met Nymai, he would have believed that the rhetoric was true, because of Nymai, he had found out that the Empire, though not a good thing, did indeed have good people in it. “My mother, may she rest in peace, told me to go with the status quo until I could escape to the Republic. She believed the Empire was flawed, and broken, that her people - her own people the Sith - had sent our family to die in the pits because of greed and revenge”
“I never knew that.” Theron pondered “Is that why you gravitated towards me?”
“Initially yes.” Nymai laughed as Theron scrunched his face up, “but once I realized that I was falling for you… “
“When was that?”
“When you were captured - or rather Lana let you be captured, I thought I would tear Rishi apart to look for you.”
“Thanks…. I think you got me when you smiled at me the first time.” Theron grimaced knowing how absolutely crazy that sounded. Love at first sight? WIth a Sith?
“Theron, you are a sucker… and I love you.” Nymai laughed
“Are we ok Ny? I didn’t mean to hurt you with what I said.”
“We are fine, and arguments are normal. I know you want to ask me things, go on.”Nymai could see Theron had been wondering about things and now he could ask the
“How… if it is okay to ask... How did you end up as a slave?”
“It’s ok like I said before, these things need to be talked about.” Nymai closed his eyes to recall a time away from the sun.
“I am here still, not going anywhere, not even to work.” Theron drew a deep breath because not working was a big deal Nymai had known when Theron followed him outside he had his full attention, and he appreciated it. Theron continued speaking as Nymai took his hand in his. “I want to know more about where you come from, where you came from.” They were now quite comfortably lounging on the ramp for the fury.
“The slave pens, the pits, none of those are a nice place, Theron, they are dark, cold and isolating.” Nymai could not drop the bitterness from his voice “If you do something wrong, like use force abilities, you will be reported by someone trying to be better than you, or trying to get up the ladder”
“Using force abilities is wrong?”
“Yes, more likely to get you killed than assigned to the Academy. Fortunately for me, when they caught on that I had more than average force ability… “
“That is an understatement.” Theron breathed, he had seen Ny fight more times than he could count now, and seen how he channeled absolute focus to wield the force as a weapon.
“I was still hiding it… first my mother had kept the secret because she did not wish another child taken away.”
“You have an older sister?”
“Had… I am certain that they took her away to kill her.” Ny shook his head, he had not thought of his sister in years. “Her name was Kai, she was far more curious about the world and took far more risks than I did. She would also use the force for small things, like lighting the fires in the morning.”
“Oh.” Theron kind of knew where this was going.
“She was reported, and we never saw her again.” Ny shrugged, “Such was the slave pens however that you often just thought of yourself rather than of anyone else. Even family.”
“And your mother? What was she like?” Theron wondered what his mother would have been like in a similar position. Though he was not the force-sensitive child they had all expected to come from the lineage.
“She was nothing like you would expect a matriarch of a SIth family.” Ny paused “ She was opinionated, strong-willed, and stubborn;  but if she loved you if you were family, she was kind, gentle, the absolute best towards you - she would also give a stranger the shirt off her back if she could. In the pens, she became known as everyone’s mother because she cared more for others than herself..”
“I see where you get that from.” Theron murmured.”You would sacrifice yourself for everyone else.”
“Especially for you.” Ny grinned “My mother would have liked you. Not approved exactly, she had visions of a great sith legacy being reclaimed.”
“Ah, I see.” Theron shifted a little in his seat, being reminded of the idea of legacy he recalled the events of Rishi yet again. “My own legacy I am not sure if it is worth continuing..”
“Revan.” Nymai replied “He was already mad when we invaded the Foundry, he was… determined... That all Sith should die, regardless of right or wrong.”
“It took me a while to learn… “ Theron admitted.
“Irrational fear of my race is rather common with the Republic?”
“Irrational fear of any race…” Theron sighed “Especially if you are force sensitive by nature.”
“Even the Massasi are force sensitive.” Nymai pointed out “But I am joking, I know we have a terrible track record.”
“It would be good to… adopt maybe..” Theron broached the subject twiddling his fingers around “I mean, it would make your mother’s wish fulfilled and…”
“And we could have our own children? Save someone along the way?” Ny asked with a smile now “That could make up for many things in my past.”
“It would mean we have to find a better place to live than on base.” Theron’s comments were accurate, they had not even been able to have an argument on site.
“Do you think they hate us?” Ny gestured to the building “Witnessing every little thing we do or say?”
“Not everything.” Theron coughed, turning a shade red.
“Hahaha... Okay, not everything.” Ny laughed, “But still, anywhere you are, is home enough.”
The sun was setting now, the afternoon spent talking had started with a mild argument, and ended as all of their days lately ended, with declarations of love. As long as this lasted, it would be enough.

Chapter 14: Ponies and Powers
I sat through the meeting trying to pay close attention even though I didn’t really understand most of it, and most of all trying not to look bored or uninterested.  I did notice they all seemed to arrive late, though Thor didn’t say anything.  Also, they would speak to him as if he were a child that didn’t understand what was going on.
Afterward, we returned to our chambers to find Loki looking frustrated as Riley climbed him and Steve and Tony bickering about something.  Only Pietro seemed calm as he sat on the floor with a large book he definitely couldn’t read.
“Good,”  Loki said, lifting Riley off of him.  “I’m leaving.  Your children are insane.”  He pointed at Steve and Tony.  “And those two are worse.”
“Oh my goodness,”  I said.  “You just called the babies insane.”
He got up and ruffled Pietro’s hair.  “Well, perhaps not my precious.  But those three.  And that one.”  He added pointing at Fandral who was standing at the door next to Hogun.
“Oh, Loki.  Always playing so coy.”  Fandral teased.
“Eat rocks.”  Loki snarked, earning laughter and a wink from Fandral.
Loki went to sweep out of the room as I moved to the couch, but Thor caught him by the arm.  “My council was late this morning and then showed up all at once.  Perhaps I am being paranoid, but it felt suspicious.  I want you to dig into it.”
Loki summoned a small dagger from the air and picked his nails with it.  “I’ll take care of it.”
“Loki,”  I called.  He turned to look at me and I mouthed the words ‘thank you’ to him.  He gave a very subtle nod and stalked out of the room.
Riley moved into my lap and Steve and Tony started up bickering about Steve’s ability to make bots again.  There seemed to be a general air of tension in the room.  Steve seemed to be slightly distracted as Tony ranted at him about not following instructions and his need to get the bots done as quickly as possible.
“Tony, do you think you can give it a rest?”  I asked.
“But, Elise…”
“No buts.  Enough.” I said.  “Are you okay, Steve?”
“Yeah.  I’m sorry.  I feel helpless and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt like that.”  He said.  “I want to punch something.  Or throw knives.”
Riley toddled over and looked up at Steve.  “You gonna frow knifes?”
Steve chuckled and shook his head, picking her up.  “It doesn’t look like it today.”
“I frow dem?”  She asked.
“Not until you’re 25.”  He said.
“But daddy,”  She whined.
“But Riley.”  He whined back.  She scrunched up her nose and started to giggle.  “Okay, little monster?”
“Otay.”  She said.
“Captain, it would be an honor to spar with you if you wish to work out some of that frustration,” Hogun said with a small bow.
Steve sighed.  “I think I would really like that.  After lunch?”
Hogun nodded and as if they were summoned by the mention of lunch the chef arrived with his trolleys of food.  Once again Riley used all her charms on him.  They definitely had become a little fan club for each other.  It was quite sweet really.
Riley and Pietro ended up both sitting in Tony’s lap at the table as they fed each other and occasionally Tony too.
“It’s cute how much Riley likes the chef, isn’t it?”  I said as I sat watching them.
“He and his family have served my family for generations,” Thor said.
“He caws me pwincess,” Riley said.
“Because you are one, honey,” Tony said.
“No…”  Riley said, shaking her head.  “I’m a wawwia.”
“You can be both,” Tony said and she shook her head again.  “Yes, you can, sweetheart.”
“Pwincesses wear pink.”  She said, firmly.  “I is a venger.”
“When Loki is your aunt, she is a princess,”  Thor said.  “She doesn’t wear pink, does she?”
“No.  Don’t wear pink.  Is bwack pants.”  Riley said.  She furrowed her brow and turned to Pietro and they both started babbling animatedly to each other.
We all watched on amused before Riley turned back to us.  “Otay, I be a pwincess.”
Steve started laughing.  “Well, then.  That’s good.”
“Twins, huh?”  I giggled.
“Couple of little weirdos,” Tony said and kissed their heads.
****
After lunch, I went with Thor, Fandral and the children to an arena outside so Thor could start teaching Riley how to control her powers.  Fandral had gotten a pony and was currently letting Pietro pat it and introduce himself.  While Thor spoke to Riley about his powers, she kept looking over at the pony wistfully.
“You need to get in touch with your emotions, little bug.  So that your powers stay in your control.”  Thor said.  “See if you can make a breeze for me.”
“Daddy, I dunno how,” Riley said.
“It has to be natural,”  Thor said.  “Guide the power as it flows through you.”
Riley scrunched up her face and made a little growl sound, though nothing happened.  Thor let out a breath and sat down on the ground, crossing his legs and putting Mjolnir on the ground beside him.  He patted his lap and Riley climbed into it, still looking over at the pony, which Pietro was now sitting on while Fandral showed him how to hold the reins.
“You can go to the pony when we’re done here, bug,” Thor said holding his hand out.  He flicked his fingers and lightning danced over them.
Riley’s attention immediately snapped back to Thor.  “Can I touch it, daddy?”  She asked, holding her chubby little hand out.
“Yes, darling,”  He said.  “It feels warm, like the sun on your face.”
She ran her hand over his fingers and giggled.  “Tickles.”
“When I do this, I feel very calm and at peace.”  He said.  “Try and think about when you feel like that.  When you are warm and safe and Daj is singing you a song while daddy Bruce is cuddling you and rocking you.  Maybe you can smell Daddy Bucky cooking your favorite food.”
Riley closed her eyes as she kept her hand on Thor’s and as he spoke a soft breeze picked up and ruffled her hair.
“There you go.  Well done, little bug.”  Thor praised.
She smiled and opened her eyes.  “I did it!”  She said excitedly and turned to me.  “You see, mommy?  I did it!”
“I saw.  You’re so clever, bug!”  I praised.
“Shall we try another?”  Thor asked.
Riley looked over at Pietro riding the pony and nodded her head.
“When I make a loud thunderstorm, and the rain is heavy and hurts when it hits your skin, I think of all the bad things and people I’ve lost.  I am sad and very, very angry.”  He explained.  “Do you remember when those people scared your mommy yesterday?  How angry you got and how you were a little scared too?”
“Wasn’t scared.”  She said.
He laughed, his deep booming laugh and kissed the top of her head.  “Of course you weren’t,”  he said.  “Try and picture it anyway.”
She scrunched up her face and balled her hands into fists.
It took a little more coaxing from Thor but after a little while, a large gust of wind tore through the arena.  It shoved us and spooked the pony.
“Do you think you could keep that at a minimum?”  Fandral called as he grabbed Pietro and soothed the pony.
“Sorry, friend!”  Thor called back as he hugged Riley and patted her back.  “Well done, daughter.”  He said.  “You are learning very quickly.  I had great difficulty learning this as a child.  My father had to have Mjolnir forged to help me.”
“I get a Mew Mew?”  She asked.
“If you need something to channel your abilities, I will have something forged.  It won’t be like Mjolnir though.  It will be your own device.”  He said.  “We do need you to be able to control it so that you don’t blow things down when you're mad at Pietro.”  He looked over at me and smiled.  “Now I just have to work out how to do that.”
I chuckled and leaned over and kissed him.
“Gwoss.  Don’ do that.”  Riley said pushing us apart.
Thor laughed deeply and ruffled her hair.  “Alright, your majesty.  Let us see if we can access some more emotions that your powers are attached to.”
Thor had her go through a few emotions, pride brought up a mini whirlwind around us, envy’s wind came in bursts like it was trying to push you over.  After he’d identified a few different ones he had her try and call them up by describing which one he wanted.  It didn’t always work but when it did she got very excited.
“I’m doin’ it, daddy.  I’m doin’ it!”  She said, clapping her hands.
“Yes, you are, little bug,” Thor said, proudly.
She pointed at Pietro riding the pony and Thor laughed heartily.  “Alright, I think you’ve earned it.”
