You rested your cheek in your hand as you watched Tony rim another batch of shot glasses with salt, setting the glasses he’d already filled on the board in front of you. He was dressed surprisingly casually in a black polo shirt and oil-marked jeans, his hair stylishly mussed. Your eyes idly travelled to the muscles of his biceps for a moment despite yourself.
“This still feels like a really convoluted way to get drunk.”
Tony smirked, pouring the last round of shots into his prepared glasses. “Are you worried you’re not up to the challenge?”
“I’m worried you’re an even bigger nerd than I already thought you were,” you replied dryly. Tony snickered, meeting your eyes from under his brows as he set the remaining glasses in place on the board. You returned his smile despite yourself. He’d found you raiding his bar about twenty minutes prior, and after a few semi-irritating jibes aimed your way, he’d offered to blow off his evening plans in favor of joining you for a night of commisatory drinks. “Let’s just start already.”
“You’re so pushy,” he teased, turning the board ninety degrees with a finger. “It’s kinda hot.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes. “Keep your kinks to yourself, Stark. I’m just here to get drunk.”
He snickered again, waving a hand at the board between you. After you’d agreed to drink with him instead of alone, he’d produced a chess board from under the bar. Instead of pieces however, he’d brought out what felt like way too many shot glasses emblazoned with the different chess pieces – presumably so you could keep track of which piece was which. He’d made some joking excuse of it being a ‘training exercise’ for your problem-solving skills. The dick.
“Ladies first.”
“Alright…” you sighed, cracking your knuckles. “But, just as a warning… I have no idea how to play.”
Tony laughed aloud, rounding the side of the bar so that he could pull up the stool beside you.
***
You wrinkled your nose as you downed yet another tequila shot, the alcohol making your head pleasantly fuzzy. You reached for the bowl of limes you’d cut while he was pouring, sucking on a quarter with a frown. “So… am I winning yet?”
Tony chuckled, his knee bumping against yours in a way that you were almost sure you could mistake for affection. He’d pulled his stool right up to yours, and now one of his knees was pressed between your parted thighs. You tried to ignore the warmth that tingled along the inside of your thighs at the feeling of it. His temple rested against his fist, his elbow on the bar as he watched you set the glass down beside the board. He was watching you with an amused smile, the deep brown of his eye ridiculously warm and strangely comforting.
“Not even close. But I love the enthusiasm.”
“I ever tell you that you’re kind of a dick?”
He sighed, faux-resigned. “No, but I’m familiar with the tune.”
“Yeah? Well, let me sing you a reprise.” you sniped, staring at the board for a long moment before picking up a shot glass and replacing it with one of yours. “A-ha!”
Tony hummed, taking the shot from you and downing it with practiced ease. You swallowed as his fingers brushed against yours, surprised again by the way something so casual made your stomach flip. He set down the glass beside the board. “You get cocky fast, sweetheart.”
“Says the world’s biggest…” you rolled your eyes as his smirk widened. “Shut up.”
Tony laughed loudly, picking up another shot and tossing it back.
“Hey, I didn’t even make a move!”
“I’m levelling the playing field,” he replied easily. You stuck your tongue out at him childishly. “God, you’re cute.”
You scowled, moving another glass across the board. “I am not.”
“Ridiculously so,” he insisted teasingly, selecting a slice of lime and replacing that glass with one of his own. You sighed, taking the shot obediently. Your frown deepened as you picked up another quarter of lime. “Hell, you’re even cute when you make that face.”
Your lips parted to make some biting response, falling silent as you met his eyes. He seemed to be studying you as he sucked on the lime, and the moment hung between the two of you before he reached out and wrapped a hand around the back of your neck. He tossed the lime aside seconds before his mouth met yours, his hand curled in your hair.
The sweet burn of salt and lime lingered on his lips, heat radiating wonderfully from where his lips pressed against yours to tingle through every one of your limbs and curl within your belly. Your hand came forward to brace yourself against his thigh, fingers pressing into the denim. Tony hummed against your lips, his fingertips tickling at the back of your neck.
His other hand came up to clutch at your hip pulling you further towards him. The sound of surprise you made as your stool tipped was muffled by his lips, your hand tightening on his thigh. Tony chuckled into the kiss, standing and pushing you back so your stool was upright again without breaking away from you.
“Careful, sweetheart,” he teased against your lips, his stubble teasing your chin. “Can’t have you—”
“I swear to God, Stark, if you’re about to make a ‘falling for you’ joke this ends right here.”
He laughed, pressing another kiss to your mouth. He tucked hair behind your ear, trailing his fingertips down the side of your neck to tease along the neckline of your shirt. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
“Good,” you replied, hooking your fingers in the front of his shirt. You smiled up at him, warmth rising in your cheeks and settling in the pit of your stomach. “Because you’re on thin ice, Tony.”
“Noted,” he grinned as you tugged him forward and brought his lips back to yours. His kiss was languid, his hand continuing its journey down to claim your hip. His other hand came ton rest between your thighs, bracing him against the edge of the stool. The heat in your belly flooded through you; your head was spinning with it.
Tony’s lips travelled down over your throat as your hands moved to fumble with the buckle of his belt. His fingers covered yours, intertwining them. “Eager.”
You brought his lips back to yours, kissing him again for a moment before speaking against his mouth. “I need you to fuck me, Tony.”
Tony gave a soft groan, his forehead resting against yours. “Yes, ma’am.”
His lips met yours again, hungrier than before, and you curled the fingers of one hand in the hair at the back of his head. Your other hand cupped the bulge in his jeans and squeezed, shivering at the way he moaned into your mouth. Tony’s hands smoothed up over your knees, skimming along the bare flesh of your thighs. Goosebumps followed as his fingertips slipped under the hem of your skirt.
Tony’s lips returned to the side of your neck, his teeth grazing over the sensitive skin as he hooked his hands under your thighs and tugged you to the edge of the stool. Setting your knees against his hips, you moaned, head falling back, as his fingers found your cunt. Even through your underwear the brush of his fingers against your clit was godly, and you unbuckled his belt eagerly.
“Already so wet, baby,” he murmured against your throat. His teeth caught your earlobe, and he exhaled heavily as you slipped your hand past his waistband to wrap it around his hardening cock. “God, you’re gorgeous…”
You ground against Tony’s hand as he pushed your underwear aside and teased your clit in earnest, his mouth sucking a heady pressure into your collarbone. You stroked the length of him, squeezing him at the base with each downstroke.
“Evil little hands,” Tony muttered, running his tongue along your pulse point before kissing you again. His breath caught as you wrapped your legs around him and urged him closer, the head of his cock pressing slowly into you. “Fuck…”
“You sound so pretty, Stark.” you teased, your next words devolving into a moan as he thrust further into you. “Oh, Christ…”
Tony laughed brokenly, his forehead falling against your shoulder as he began fucking himself into you steadily. He pressed a kiss to the mark he’d left on your collarbone before returning to your face, dusting kisses over your cheeks and nose before claiming your lips.
His grip was bruising on your hips, and each inch he filled you with made you whimper with need. The stool rocked with each thrust, and hands clutching at his shirt. The rough denim of his jeans teased the sensitive flesh of your inner thighs, and Tony broke away from your lips so you could pull his shirt off over his head.
Your hands found his chest greedily, your mouth finding the base of his throat. Tony moaned, his fingers on your clit. “Needy little…”
“D’you think…” you moaned as he adjusted his hips and he brushed against the sweet spot inside you that made your eyes roll back. “…that we could stop making fun of each other for the next… five minutes?”
Tony chuckled, kissing you again. His tongue slid against yours, his hands tightening deliciously on your hips.
“Depends,” he replied, kissing the tip of your nose in a surprisingly affectionate gesture. You moaned aloud as he contradicted it with a particularly hard thrust. “Think you can control yourself?”
You pinched his nipple, and he laughed. “Nope.”
“Good,” he replied. “’Cause I’m gonna need more than five minutes.”
***
You were quickly coming to the conclusion that fucking Tony was like some kind of drug. You could feel your first orgasm dripping down your thighs, the second building quickly inside you. Tony’s hand was spread against the small of your back, his head dipped down to tease the soft skin of the swell of your breasts with his lips and tongue. You had your fingers curled in his hair, rolling your hips forward to meet his with every thrust. Your other hand clung to the edge of the bar in the hopes it would be enough to keep you from falling off the stool.
“Fuck, Tony…” you wrapped your arm around his neck as he brought his mouth back to yours. Your hand clutched at his shoulder blade, nails scoring his bare skin. His fingers found your clit again and your hips jerked against him. “We’re going to get caught…”
He chuckled, quickening his hand. “Sweetheart, if nobody came running the first time you screamed my name, they’re not coming.”
“Asshole.”
“See, that’d hurt if you weren’t currently dripping all over my—”
Tony gave a muffled laugh as you cut him off by kissing him again, your teeth grazing his bottom lip. His thrusts quickened just as he pinched your clit, and you moaned brokenly as you came again, your whole body jerking into his. Tony took hold of your hips, fingers digging into the flesh as he thrust into you firmly a few more times before pulling out. He groaned, gripping the base of his cock as he spilled himself over your thighs, his shoulder shuddering as he exhaled.
You closed your eyes as you fought to regain your composure, and felt Tony dust blind kisses over your face as you did. He lingered each time he caught your lips, his own chest heaving as he came down. He smoothed a hand over the side of shoulder and down your bicep, his thumb brushing over the bare skin.
“Remind me to invite myself to drinks more often.”
You breathed a laugh, letting your head fall forward to rest your forehead against his, your hands still resting on his shoulders. Tony moved to press a kiss to your hairline as his breathing steadied.
“Wouldn’t have hurt to wait ‘til we found a bed, though.”
He smirked softly, moving back to meet your eye. You felt warmth in your cheeks as he tucked a wayward strand of hair behind your ear.
“I don’t know, you look so pretty sitting there all dainty, thighs covered in my—”
You slapped a hand over his mouth. “Tony?”
“Mm?” he hummed from behind your palm, amusement shining in his eyes.
“Don’t ruin the moment.”
“Mm-hmm.”
You smiled despite yourself, removing your hand and kissing him again.

It was April 15, 1987. A warm, bright, sunny Friday afternoon. Feeling the way the heat began making its way towards New York as its winter began melting away, bringing beautiful colors all around, sunflowers and chirping birds will soon be coming out of its hiding.
A wide smile spreads on your lips at the thought of summer, but also due to the boy who leaned against his Baltic blue 1987 Porsche. Both his hands were in his Jean pockets, as he had one ankle crosses over the other. A smirk shaping his face as he watches you run down the steps of the school with an excited skip.
“You know my father already doesn’t like you,” You start to say as you reach him, arms immediately wrapping around his neck as you continue, “And making me ditch class won’t help the situation,”
It wasn’t a lie, your father indeed did not like him, claimed he wasn’t fit for you, just another arrogant Stark who only thinks about himself and will one day break your heart, or worse leave you pregnant. But you didn’t believe one word because your father simply didn’t know Tony, he didn’t know his story, his struggle at home, his distant relationship with his father. He didn’t know the real Tony Stark, and he never will.
“Well you like me right?” Tony asks, eyebrow raised as his light brown eyes look into your own,
You smile at him, soft chuckle slipping past your lips, “Yes. Yes I do,”
“Then that’s that’s all I need,” He comments with a smirk before closing the gap between you two, feeling the way his lips softly latch onto your own, carefully and gently kissing you,
You melt against him, sighing against the kiss as you let your fingers slip into his hair, massaging his scalp as you slightly deepen the kiss. The moment doesn’t last long since he breaks it first, smiling at you he leads you to the passenger side, opening the door and allowing to slip in the far before closing it behind you and quickly making his way towards the drivers side where he drives out of school grounds. Burning rubber on the way out.
Music played loudly on the speakers as he drove down the streets, fresh wind blowing against your hair and skin, making a large smile spread on your face as you close your eyes, relishing the feeling of the weather since you missed the heat. While one hand was interlocked with Tony’s, your other extends out to your right, past the passengers door as you move your hand up and down in the air. At one point while driving down the road, Tony happened to turn around to glance at you and boy was it a goddamn sight. Your eyes shut, faint smile on your lips, head slightly bobbing to the music as the wind blew against your hair, sending your beautiful (H/C) strands to fly in all kinds of directions. You were an absolute work of art and he couldn’t have been happier to have you in his life.
Smiling at you once more he brings your interlocked hands towards his lips where he places a peck at the back of your hand before continuing in driving down the road.
In less than 30 or so minutes, you arrive at your destination. Parking in an empty lot, straight ahead was the beach where some people walked or relaxed in the sand where others swam in the water. It was barely three in the afternoon but people were already sunbathing and enjoying the beautiful weather. Which you rather be doing than being in a classroom watching movies or taking notes of the film. Since you basically only had two months left of school, most of your teachers spent their class period relaxing and letting the senior students enjoy their time with friends before graduation, knowing it’ll be the last time anyone will be in touch due to everyone parting ways.
The future did scare you—you won’t lie. Scared what will happen in the upcoming years, scared what will happen to you both. Would it last long? Would you two part ways? Maybe and that’s the truth. It hurts, but that’s how life is. You get hurt and you learn from it to get better. But as of now, you’re going to not think of the future and just enjoy right now. Enjoy him.
You two sat on top of the convertible, having ate a hot dog and soda to wash it down and now you both sat there. Talking to one another about anything and everything, neither caring if you both were skipping school. You two remained there, next to each other. Enjoying one another, because you both were making it memorable for as long as possible.
“Should probably take you home,” Tony whispers, large smile on his face as he stares into your (E/C) eyes,
“Yeah, you should,” You respond, sharing the same smile as him,
You both remain staring at each other for another good minute, knowing neither one was ready to say goodbye, not just yet.
“Wanna get some ice cream?” He asks as your hands cup his face,
“Thought you’d never ask,” You tell him with a wide smile before gently latching your lips with his,
The question that hovered in the air was, will you end up being grounded until you graduate for skipping school and for getting home late? Most likely. But not once will you ever regret this day, because these are moments that are worth making and worth remembering. They don’t call them ‘Teenage Years’ for a reason.

Sunbeam. Mini Series.
Chapter 1
An: This has had a choke hold on me for days. So now you too have to suffer. Switches POVs, 3rd to 2nd, sorry if it's confusing!
Wc:~5k
Pairing: Tony Stark x Mutant!OFC(Fiona/Sunbeam)
She first met Tony Stark when she was 23. It was an accident, really.
Sitting in the common room at Xavier's School for the Gifted, the TV was background noise as she read her book. Logan was back, and his grunts and grumbles at the TV were distracting.
“What now, Logan? You've been complaining for 20 minutes,” she smirks at him, her toe digging into his side.
“The damn news,” he grumbles, practically crushing the remote in his hand. “Been the same thing for the last 3 goddamn months.”
When she looks over to the screen, it's another newscaster covering the disappearance of billionaire, philanthropist, and arms dealer, Tony Stark.
She hums, “I heard they were stopping military support ‘cause they don't believe he's alive.”
Logan grunts in response, flinging the remote on the coffee table next to his feet. His head falls back against the couch, and she lets out a giggle at him.
When she glances back to the TV, there were pictures of Stark from the last time anyone saw him alive. It looked like he was in a desert, a drink in hand, and the other shaking the hand of some military general.
The newscaster said the last known location was somewhere outside Afghanistan, his convoy took heavy fire, and almost everyone involved was injured or killed.
The more she thought about Stark and how the people in his life must miss him, the more her fingers tingle. The energy of the powers under her skin coming to the surface.
She places the book down so it doesn't burn. It certainly wouldn't be the first time she set something on fire.
“Need to let out some excess energy, Fi?” Logan tilts his head over to his adoptive daughter when he feels the crackle of powers in the air.
Being a mutant was a part of her. Fiona couldn't remember her early life, just living on the streets in Southern California. Until Professor Xavier and Logan rescued her. Fi, as Logan affectionately calls her, can't remember her parents. They dropped her at an orphanage when her powers first started showing.
She shakes her head, “no, just overthinking,” as she rubs her hands together, little sparks of energy pop in the air.
Soon after, she fled. Fiona was 6. She clung to Logan like gum on the sole of his shoes. He may have complained, but he didn't mind.
It was rare to see Logan without her trailing behind him the first few months.
“Fiona,” Logan shifts to get a better look at her. “You can tell me if something is bothering you, ok? I may not be, y’know,” he shrugs and gestures to himself.
“The greatest at sharing emotions?” she smirk.
Logan chuckles and gives a nod.
“Really, Logan, I'm fine,” Fiona reassures him. When she looks back at the television, the segment on Tony Stark is wrapping up, and she gives another fleeting thought about where he is.
Then it felt like she was falling. Straight through the couch, the floorboards, the mansion. Everything.
Logan calls her name, eyes in a panic, as his daughter disappears in the blink of an eye.
***
You shot out into the bright, hot sunshine some 30 feet in the air. However you got here, it was lost on you as you plummeted head over heels to the ground.
As you braced for impact, you couldn't help but notice all the sand. When you crashed down on your side, you tumbled down a sand dune. The scorching sun and sand burned at your skin as you tried to get your bearings.
You coughed the sand from your mouth as you stood, dusting it off your body, looking around.
Vast nothingness surrounded you. Endless hot sand dunes for miles.
Where the hell am I?
“Logan?” Your throat was scratchy from the sand. You coughed again to clear it. “Hello?” You called a little louder.
“You…” a voice called from behind you.
You spun around, flinging sand as you did, and brought your hands up to defend yourself. Little sparks of golden energy tickling your fingers.
The man stood a good 20 feet from you. He was sunburnt, bloody, and blistered. His old worn slacks had holes along the knees, and his gray tank top did little to protect him from the sun.
“You're here,” his voice was hoarse and rough. You wondered how long he's been out here. Wherever here is.
“I thought I imagined it, but” he laughed a little in disbelief, “you. You're here.”
“Uhh, yeah. Sorry, buddy. I don't really know where I am. Or who you are.” You spin in a circle before you face him again, “I don't even know how I got here!”
“It's me. I'm,” and when your brows furrow his shoulders slump, “Tony. Stark.”
You sputter and take a step towards him, “what? How? Where are we?”
“Afghanistan, more or less,” Stark shrugs.
You pace in a circle, still not understanding. “I was just in New York. Are you saying I'm on the OTHER SIDE of the WORLD??”
Stark falls backwards to land on his rear, panting breaths in the hot desert sun. “You’re telling me, I still can’t believe it myself.”
”Tony Stark. Oh my God. Oh my God,” you rush to him and land on your knees in front of him, hands hovering above him. “How are you - why - holy shit. Oh my God.”
”I get that a lot,” he snarks, head falling back as he shields his face from the sun with an old ratty shirt. You notice something blue glowing in the middle of his chest, but there’s more pressing matters to worry about at the moment.
”Wouldn’t happen to have a flare gun in those pajama shorts, would ya, kid?”
You look down at yourself, and sure enough, you’re in an oversized tee and pajama shorts. It was the middle of the night back in New York after all.
”I - um - well,” you bring a fist up in front of you, small sparks of gold form around your hand and then encase it in a golden bubble. You haven’t shown anyone outside of other mutants your powers before.
You can convert the sun's radiation into physical energy. Shooting golden rays of beams and projectiles of pure energy from your hands.
Sometimes when you get anxious, the power in your fingertips becomes a little unstable, and you have to release some of it so you won't cause an accident (which happens more often than not, you're still learning).
Rogue likes to call your abilities akin to the sun, like sun rays for the beams you shoot and sun orbs for the bubbles you throw. She was quick to give you the nickname Sunbeam, so it stuck.
When you glance up at Stark, he’s barely taken notice of the sudden energy emitting from your hand, eyes focused on your face.
”I’ve never - I haven’t…” Stark puts a hand on your arm and squeezes it lightly. He gives you a small nod, eyes heavy with exhaustion and face a little too sunburnt. His chapped lips pull into a thin line, you should do this. You have to do this. He’s been missing for three months. You both could die out here.
With one last big inhale, you raise your fist in the air and let loose a few energy blasts that shoot up like a firework. You open your hand and they explode like one too. Bright golden sparks of energy fill the sky a hundred feet in the air.
***
Colonel James Rhodes was not amused when he asked Tony how the hell you got in the middle of the desert in just your pajamas, when Starks only response was:
“You can see her too? I thought I was going crazy,” and never mentioned it again.
That was almost half a day ago, and now you’re about to touch down in Los Angeles.
Stark needed help getting into the dress shirt Colonel Rhodes had given him, so you tore the right sleeve of the shirt off for him.
”There, that should help,” you grinned at him. You helped him guide his arm into the sling and put it in place. “You should probably go to the hospital once we land, Mr. Stark.”
Stark hummed, picking up the suit jacket and putting it around your shoulders.
The massive Boeing C-17 plane landed on the Air Force base in Los Angeles after what felt like the longest flight of your life.
You followed Rhodes and Stark down the ramp of the plane, it seems he had people waiting for him. When your bare feet meet the tarmac, you look around, and across the lot, you see a sleek black jet, the ramp down, and two people you knew all too well waiting for you.
You ran past Stark and his group, not sparing them a second glance, “Professor? Logan!” When you reach them, you launch yourself at Logan, and he catches you with one arm around your back. He squeezes you just a little tighter than usual, but you don’t mind.
“Jesus Christ, kid. You scared the shit out of me,” Logan sets you down and puts a hand on your head. “Look a little sunburnt, too.”
“Professor, do you know what happened to me?”
Xavier hums, bringing one hand to his chin, “It seems there's more to your powers than I first thought.” He hums again, bringing a hand down to turn his wheelchair around. Before he can make it up the ramp, he pauses, “I believe someone wants to say goodbye, my dear,” he smirks.
You turn and see Stark standing a few feet away, he clears his throat, rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet.
Logan growls behind you, and you glare at him, but he doesn't move. Instead he steps closer to you and crosses his arms over his chest.
Rolling your eyes, you go over to Stark, “I guess this is goodbye,” you fiddle with your fingers, golden energy sparking along your hands. “It - um - it was nice to meet you.” Your sentence ends in a small question, shoulders up by your ears when you say it.
“You saved my life,” Stark scoffs, “I think you can do better than ‘it was nice to meet you’, kid.”
Something about him calling you kid, didn't sit well with you. It was different when Logan, Scott, or the other older mutants would say it. But hearing Tony Stark say it sounded wrong.
“I'm not a kid,” you mumble.
“Fiona,” Logan grunts from behind you, “it's time to go. Now.”
Well that leaves little room for anything else when Logan says ‘now’.
You make the quick decision to give Stark a hug, going to the side where of his uninjured arm.
It's an awkward side hug, and he definitely wasn't expecting it, “take care of yourself, alright?” And you're back tracking toward the Jet before Stark could respond.
***
“Again!” Logan shouts across the training yard. He has singe marks littered across his uniform, every hit you manage to land isn't enough to knock him on his ass.
And Logan is getting frustrated at your lack of focus.
“C'mon, Logan,” you pant, hands on your knees as you catch your breath. “We've been at this for hours! It's been nonstop for the last few months, I need a break.”
He growled, and you could practically feel it vibrate across the room, “You need to get a handle on your powers, girl,” he started stalking towards you.
You shook your hands out, golden energy sparking at your fingertips.
To give Logan credit where it was due, your bubbles of energy were getting stronger. The more you fight with the Adamantium-boned mutant, the sturdier the bubbles become. You could even create small defensive shield-like energy bubbles.
“Pay attention!” He shouted right before his clawed fist came at you.
On instinct, or panic, your arms shot out wide, a large golden shield appeared between Logan’s fist and your chest. You sigh in relief, only a small part of his Adamantium claws pierced the shield this time.
You could see his arm flexing, his foot shifting to push his fist forward. He was hardly straining, and you were struggling to keep the shield up. Your arms straining to keep the bubbles around your hands connected to the shield in front of you.
Logan pushed, claws breaking through your shield and it began to crack. When his fist finally connected with your shield, the force of the break exploded and threw you backward. You landed on your back, and the force knocked the wind out of you.
“I told you, kid,” Logan began stalking towards you again, “get your shit together!”
Before he could reach you, he was stopped mid stride, and he flew backwards as well. Landing on his feet and skidding to a stop.
When you sat up, you could see Jean glaring at Logan, her hand coming down from her temples.
“That's enough, Logan,” her voice is finite. There's no room for arguing.
Jean kneels down next to you and places her hand on your shoulder. Her face is full of concern when she sees a gash on your cheek. You feel the blood trickle down and bring your hand up to wipe it away.
“Ow,” you pull your fingers away, and they come away soaked in blood, “must've been from my shield.”
Jean helps you stand, a few cuts are on your uniform, small specs of blood seeping through.
“Come on, Fi, let's have Hank take a look at you,” Jean leads you out of the training room, and before the doors close behind you, she waves her hand and you hear a loud thud. Logan plummets to the floor and shouts a curse out just as the doors close.
***
Turns out, the cut on your cheek was from Logan’s claw nicking your skin. Hank had to stitch it closed, or it wouldn't heal right. All the other small cuts were from your shield shattering, but nothing some antiseptic and a few band-aids couldn't fix.
Your hands had seen better days. They took the full force of your energy breaking. They looked burned, but Hank assured you they weren't.
“It most likely occurred when the build up of force from Logan’s punch and your energy containment orbs couldn't withstand the pressure,” Hank was wrapping your hands in gauze. Careful, clawed blue fingers handle you with care. He went on to explain how to care for the injury, and if you needed help, to find him and he'll do it.
You zoned out as Hank continued to talk. The voices growing in volume outside the medical room doors caught your attention.
Hank turned his back to you as he cleaned up, and you made your way towards the door, pushing it open just a crack.
“He's being reckless with her, Professor!” Jean's hands were wildly articulating to get her point across. “She’s in there right now because Logan can't control his temper or his strength,” she huffs.
Xavier seems to sense your eyes on him, and he looks up, going to speak, but you're sure he can read your mind without even trying.
Logan is leaning against the wall, his arms crossed over his chest. He scoffs, “yeah, and she'll never figure out how t'unlock those Teleportin' powers unless I push 'er to do it,” he rolls his shoulders and gives the Professor a knowing look. “She asked for my help, and I'm doin’ just that.”
You open the door and step out into the hallway. You can see the group of eyes scan your body. The tank top and gym shorts Hank had you change into doing little to hide the cuts, scrapes, and bruises littered over your body.
You meet Logan’s eyes, and you notice the moment he sees the stitches on your cheek from his claws. His shoulders slump, and his arms drop to his side.
When he goes to speak, you hold up a hand, “I'm not a kid anymore,” you lift your chin just a little bit, “I appreciate you looking out for me, Jean, but I can handle myself. And Logan is right, I did ask him to help me because I knew he wouldn't hold back.”
You take a deep breath, and you feel something change in the air around you, “don't be sorry. Because I'm not,” and you step back into a crack that's formed behind you.
One second, you're staring at your friends in the Manson. You're sure you see the Professor give you a smile. Then, the next, you're in a garage. A half dozen expensive and fancy cars line the one side of the wall.
“Uuhh, how did you get in here? Who are you?” A voice says behind you. You haven't heard it in almost 5 months. “JARVIS?”
You spin around, and there stands Tony Stark in a wife beater and dark jeans. Hair a little disheveled. Some weird red and gold gauntlet adorning his right hand.
Sir, should I notify the authorities?
A disembodied voice says from around you, it makes you jump a little, fingers sparking, and then the energy dies out.
“No, it's fine, J. Fiona,” Stark's shoulders slump, and he makes his way toward you.
“Surprise?” You say, giving him little jazz hands, as much as your bandaged hands allow. You look around the garage. Behind Stark, there's a bunch of broken glass. The television on the wall talks about another attack in the Middle East.
“What happened here?”
He ignores you and brings his left hand to your cheek, right below the stitches on your left cheekbone.
“What the hell happened to you?” There's concern in his eyes, and you tilt your head to look at him.
“Training gone wrong,” you shrug. Stark picks up one of your hands by the wrist, bringing it to his face.
“And this?”
“The energy had to go somewhere,” you shrug again. Flexing your fingers, little sparks of energy radiate from the tips and travel down to where his hand is on your wrist.
Stark's eyes widened, fingers tightening a little, “What - I didn't imagine it?” You shake your head no. “What is it? How can you do that?”
You were expecting him to pull away in disgust or ask what you were. Maybe it's the genius in him that wants to figure out how your powers work.
“I'm a mutant,” that should explain everything, but his eyebrows pull together in confusion as he meets your eyes. “y’know, individuals with unexplained powers. The X-gene? I was born this way.”
Stark hums, stepping away and letting your wrist go. “Yeah, let's put a pin in that,” he takes his gauntlet off and holds up a finger as he runs up the stairs.
***
“Wow…” is all you say. Stark had his robots, or whatever they were, help him into this… suit. Different arms and parts are coming up out of the floor.
“That's amazing. You built this? What - what does it do?”
“Sit, watch. You'll see,” his tinny voice comes through the helmet on his head, and then he is off like a rocket up the ramp and out of the garage.
A moment later, the screens on the desk came to life, showing Stark's face on one screen and a HUD display of what he could see on the other.
“This - this is amazing. You're amazing! You can fly!” You laughed. You weren't new to people being able to fly. Some of your close friends could fly, but they were mutants. Stark was human. And he could fly.
Tony wouldn't admit the praise made him blush and a little flustered. He cleared his throat as his thrusters pushed him faster through the sky.
“Yeah, I'm pretty badass.”
You watched through the screens as night slowly turned to day. He cleared the Pacific Ocean in less than 10 minutes. You could hear the sonic boom from the sound barrier breaking as Stark flew faster.
Soon, he was landing at his destination. The chaos around the war-torn village quickly came to a halt as Stark used some kind of energy blasts out of his gauntlets.
Well, that looked familiar.
Just as he turned around, armed men grabbed hold of innocent villagers, the threat making your breath hitch.
“Tony…” You breathed, and he lowered his hands. Then the HUD scanned the faces of the people around him, labeling them hostile or civilians. In the next breath, small projectiles shot out of the suit and incapacitated the hostile forces.
You breathed a sigh of relief as Stark left Gulmira, but not before destroying what looked like Stark Industries labeled missiles.
***
“What was all that?” You asked.
Stark had just returned after his harrowing run in with the Air Force after his impromptu trip to Gulmira. Now, the robotic system was trying to get him out of the suit.
You rolled the chair away from the desk with a flair, pushing off and slowly coming to a stop to the side of Stark. He looked over at you with a smirk.
The robotic arms tugged and pulled, trying to get the suit off him, “Hey, ow! Watch it - ah ow!”
Well, it is a tight fit, sir.
You giggle at his discomfort, swinging the chair back and forth.
Sir, the more you struggle, the more this is going to hurt.
“Be gentle, it's my first time,” his leg was in the air as an arm tried to undo the bolts.
“Maybe you need an emergency release, Stark,” you laugh when he sends you a glare.
“What's going on here?” A voice startles you, and you jump out of the rollie chair that it gets sent backward into some cabinets.
Stark slowly turns to the woman, giving her a deadpan look, “Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing.”
“Are those bullet holes?” She breathes. “And who is she?” The strawberry blonde turns to you.
“Pepper - wait. Hey - ow!”
***
It took several hours for Pepper Potts to calm down, mostly because Stark was still trying to get the suit off. She left soon after, less in shock and more emotionally drained.
“I'm going to bed,” she announced and quickly left the garage.
It was quiet for a while. You stared down at your bandaged hands, fingers fiddling with the gauze. Whatever meds Hank had given you wore off a few hours ago, and the pain had slowly returned.
“Stark,” you called to him, he turned in his chair. He looked a little worse for wear, covered in grease and dark circles under his eyes.
“I should go,” you shrugged. His brows pulled together as he studied you.
“I did some reading, by the way,” Stark got up from his chair and began fiddling with the tools lining the bench. “That little X-gene of yours.”
He looked up through his lashes at you, one eyebrow raised.
You nodded, coming up to the other side of the tool bench from him.
“A lot of articles published by a Professor Charles Xavier,” he continued. “Pretty smart, your Professor. Attending Bard College at age 16. Graduating with a bachelor's degree in biology in only two years. A world-renowned geneticist with multiple Ph.D.s.
“And he'd rather teach at a school full of children. In the middle of Westchester? Never really added up. Until I met you.”
Stark had made his way around the bench to stand next to you, “what can you really do?” His eyes bounced between yours, a look of wonder in his irises.
You laugh lightly, “I'd show you if I could,” You hold your hands up. The bandages need to be changed soon. You wiggle your fingers, “all out of juice, sorry Stark.”
He studies you for a moment, leaning his hip against the table, “can you get back?”
You hum, you suppose you could. “It's different, making the portals and shooting a beam out of my hands,” You put a hand on his chest, a zap running up your arm and down your spine when you do.
Stark inhales sharply, eyes wide as he looks down at your hand on the glowing circle in his chest.
He explained to you that it was keeping him alive, keeping the shrapnel from the bomb explosion from reaching his heart. The arc, or something.
“Whoa,” you both said in unison.
The air around you is thick and charged. Whether it's from your powers sparking in the air or the closeness between the two of you, you can't be sure.
Stark leans his head down, tilting to the side to try and catch your eye, but before he can open his mouth to speak, you take a step back. Hand falling to your side as you go.
Sir, the diagnostics are finished. Seems to be multiple–
“Yea, ok JARVIS, I got it,” he cuts off his AI as he watches you back up.
“It was good to see you again, Stark,” you say, one hand coming up next to you, “stay out of trouble, ok?” A spark ignites at your fingertips. A bright tear like line appears in thin air. It opens, and it sounds like ripping paper in half.
The portal glows a golden orange like your powers, it's long enough for you to step into. You give him one last wave and a smile before you step through, the garage and Tony disappearing in the blink of an eye.
***
A week later, your cuts and the energy burns on your hands have healed almost completely.
Hank had taken the stitches on your cheek out. The gash would leave a scar, but you don't mind too much. A butterfly bandage keeps the gash closed so it can heal more.
Now, as you walk down the halls of the mansion, you're stopped by Rogue. She has a coy smile on her face.
“Have ya heard, sugah?” Her accent shines through as she nudges her clothed elbow against yours.
“Heard what? What's got you all giddy for?” You both stop near the library, her pulling you to the side like she has a secret to tell you. Well, maybe she does.
“That guy ya saved a few months back? They say he's the man in that red n’ gold suit we saw on the news the other night,” Rogue is grinning from ear to ear, her gloved hand grabs yours and pulls you further down the hall.
A few others are in the common room, crowded around the TV. Colonel Rhodes is talking about the explosion that happened the next night after you left Stark's house.
The marquee under the podium reads: STARK INDUSTRIES CEO TONY STARK TO READ A PREPARED STATEMENT TO THE PRESS IN COMING MOMENTS.
“You think he's a mutant, too?”
“No way, just some rich guy with too much time on his hands.”
There's chatter around the room, and Rogue leans into you more.
“Ya think his body turns inta’ all that shiny metal or sumthin’?”
You scoff at Rogue, and she elbows you again, giggling.
“Ya should go n’ see him,” she says quietly after a few minutes.
“What? No way would Logan let me go,” you roll your eyes at your best friend. “And he's not a mutant, Ro.”
“Says you,” she sticks her tongue out, “I won't tell him, sugah, swear.”
It takes hardly any more convincing for you to sneak out of the common room and into the library to make a portal and be where Stark is.
The sound echoes in the library, a loud rip sounds like 10 ripped pages of paper, the golden yellow portal opens, and you step through it.
You step into a hallway, you can hear chatter on your left, and you follow the noise.
It's the same room you saw on TV only moments ago back in New York. The room is filled with reporters and news crews, Rhodes is finishing up his speech and introduces Stark.
You're standing in the back, sticking out like a sore thumb with your ripped jeans and crop top. You may have borrowed Rogue's leather jacket, but you know she doesn't mind.
Your breath catches as Stark takes his place behind the podium, small bouts of conversation flair as he looks around the room. A few cameras flash, reporters raise their recorders up higher to make sure they get every detail of Stark's speech.
His eyes catch yours, and the corner of his mouth turns up a little, his lips pursed.
“Um,” he clears his throat as he looks around the room again, “it's been a while since I was in front of you. Figure I'll stick to the cards this time.”
You smile, and some people around the room chuckle. He's very personable, but you suppose he has to be.
“I'm sorry, Mr. Stark,” a woman reporter interrupts, “but do you honestly expect us to believe that that was a bodyguard in a suit that conveniently appeared–”
Stark cuts her off, “I know that it's confusing. It is one thing to question the official story, and another thing entirely to make wild accusations, or insinuate that I'm a superhero.”
“I never said you were a superhero,” she crosses her arms.
“Didn't? Well, good, because that would be outlandish and fantastic. I'm just not the hero type. Clearly. With this laundry list of character defects, all the mistakes I've made, largely public,” Stark word vomits everywhere. Rhodes leans in and whispers in his ear. Stark nods.
He holds the cards up and clears his throat, “the truth is,” he stalls, eyes roaming the flash card in his hand. He glances up and finds your eyes on him, a glint in his irises as a smirk pulls at his lips.
“I am Iron Man.”

The flight back was mostly spent in silence for Riley. Natasha and Tony had opted to sit in the cockpit and chat among themselves and Riley had decided to stay back in the hanger. She had found a seat along the wall and leant her head back with her eyes closed most of the trip. Letting the hum of the metal bird take over her racing thoughts as best she could to lull her into a semi-conscious state.
This was the last time Riley let Fury throw her into a field like this.
She was going to return to New York, collect Mittens from Wendy and go on a little retreat for herself. Now that she had disappeared for a while, she could rest a little easier knowing her scent would be well off from invading noses. Fury had assured her that Shield agents would keep a close eye on Wendy for her – she didn’t want her getting caught in the crossfires of something she caused.
The wound in her thigh was practically healed, if she looked down at it now, it would only appear as scar tissue and in another hour, it wouldn’t even be a red mark.
“What’s eating at that head of yours?” She heard Natasha ask. Riley didn’t mean to invade their conversation, but her ears didn’t have an off switch to everything around her and while she was healing it was harder to close in on sounds that wouldn’t overstimulate her.
“What makes you think something’s eating?” Tony’s sharp response came and the unfamiliar shift in Riley’s chest stirred.
“You’ve been quiet, normally you’re boosting about not needing a team of agents.” Riley could almost hear the smirk in Natasha’s words.
“Working on my people skills, don’t want another meeting with Cap about my lack of team communication.” Tony replied.
The cockpit went silent for a while then, only the sound of their breathing and a switch being flipped came. Then the creak of leather as someone stood from their seat.
“I’m going to check on the little rogue, make sure they’re not dead.” Tony dismissed himself from the cockpit and Riley listened as his steps came closer to her. Each thunk of his feet against the cool metal rang and echoed in her ears. An eager grumble came from the wolf and Riley shook off the nerves that she could raising. Cinnamon flooded Riley’s nose and she had to stop herself from sinking into the comfort that it brought her.
“You alive down there?” Stark called out to her. Riley hummed in response, not opening her eyes and shifting from her position.
By the time that Stark was stood a mere couple feet from her, she knew he was preparing a million questions. His heart rate was elevated, his breathing slightly quickened and his scent deepened.
“Staring is incredibly rude.” Riley grumbles.
“Well consider me a rebel,” Tony clicks his tongue.
Riley exhales heavily out of her nose and opens her eyes to look up at Tony. He had his hands in his pockets and head tilted slightly to the left. His hair was tussled from being in his suit’s helmet, and there was a new bruise forming on his forearm.
“You don’t have to babysit me, trust me. I’ll be out of your hair once we get back to New York.” Riley assures and sits up straighter.
“I’m sure you will be,” Tony grunts and shakes his head. “You not one for teams or is there some underlying reason Fury didn’t add you onto his little team of misfits?”
“Unless you’ve forgotten, you’re on said team.”
“Yes, that’s why I can call us whatever we want but you… well you don’t make sense in this whole situation.” Tony speaks.
Riley narrows her eyes at Tony. The curiosity from him was astounding but there was something that lingered behind the open-ended hints for an answer.
“You always pick the brains of someone you just meet, or am I just lucky?” Riley huffs.
“I’m just trying to understand why you weren’t on any records, but Fury insists on keeping you so close.” Tony shrugs.
“Ask him yourself.” Riley mutters then leans back against the jet and closes her eyes again.
Tony didn’t say anything for a while, but Riley knew he was still staring at her. The thing in his chest was soothing but the heartbeat behind it was enough to make Riley know that he was brewing over something in his own head. The guy needs to learn how to relax.
“Should work on your suits, work on your shock absorbent,” Riley nods her head towards his arm. “Save you some ice packs.”
That at least got a huffed laugh out of him before he started to walk back towards the cockpit.
“Another piece of advice,” Riley calls after him and waited until he stopped. “Stop looking for something that doesn’t want to be found.”
*
The rest of the flight was a breeze for Riley, she ended up dozing for half an hour before a near heart attack caused by turbulence woke her. After that there was no chance at getting back to sleep and after determining her wound had fully healed… well she was back to boredom. She tried to listen to any conversation from the cockpit, but it had been silent in there besides the exhales of breath and the whirring coming from Tony’s chest.
Then she turned to the rucksack beside her, the sole reason that she had ended up on this ride back to New York. Two months of tracking targets, integrating herself into the daily exchanges of this underworld organisation, drugging a good for nothing piece of scum and making off with the documents currently hidden away in her bag.
It was only fair she sees what she had recovered.
She dug the documents out from the rucksack and glanced up at the cockpit before shifting through the pages. Of course, the language was in German and some Russian so it was mostly unintelligible to her but there were two words that stood out to her. Two words that made her blood run cold and a growl tear through her throat.
Harvey Wright.
Now what the fuck was he doing in documents about a recreation of the Captain America serum?
*
“You want to deal with Fury for me?” Tony asked as they landed in the hanger.
“What have you done to upset him?” Natasha throws back at him as she stands from her seat.
“I haven’t done anything… yet.” Tony mutters the last part.
“I’ll go deal with him. You stay out of his eyesight until debrief.” Natasha cautions.
Natasha leaves the cockpit as Tony smiles at her retreating form. He then goes onto to making sure the jet is completely shut down before making his own way out into the hanger. His eyes subconsciously scan over where he had last seen Riley, only to find her missing from her seat.
Gone with the wind already.
*
The debrief was agonisingly slow and Tony felt like his brain was going to melt from boredom. But the moment that Natasha finished her report back to Fury, they were dismissed. Natasha stood to leave as did Fury, but Tony hadn’t moved a muscle.
He kept staring down at the tabletop with the same pinched expression he entered with.
“Anything else, Stark?” Fury demanded.
“You knew who she was.” Tony accuses as he looks up to meet Fury’s steady gaze. “You knew who she was, and you sent me, even after denying to answer any of my questions about what or who saved me-”
“That’s because it’s a need-to-know basis and if that upsets you then go buy out a company and play god with them.” Fury dismisses the claims against him and leaves the room.
Tony’s jaw ticks as he huffs an exasperated breath and stands from his seat. Natasha still stood watching over Tony, felt her intrigue on the growing with each interaction she witnesses. The little rogue they had extracted seemed to be causing a stir up within her new team and she wasn’t yet sure if it was going to be a good turnout.
Especially when the shouts from the hall snapped both of their attentions and had them moving to finding the source.
Tony froze when he saw the familiar yellow glare that was burning something fierce as Fury was pinned to the wall. Though smaller than Fury, the short woman had an iron grip on Fury’s cost lapels and held him off the ground. But Fury didn’t look frightened or intimidated. He knew this would be coming, Tony concluded.
“How the fuck is he involved?!” The words were growled and sent a shock through the air around them. Shield agents were rushing down the hall to the commotion, a few already had weapons drawn and aimed at the situation.
“You need to calm do-”
“I should fucking kill every last one of you and go after them myself.” The threat had the remaining agents reaching for their weapons – even Natasha went to grab her sidearm. The click of safety’s being taken off guns sounded, and the growls deepened as the two-toned glare scanned her surroundings. The young woman who had hours ago warned Stark about not going after something that didn’t want to be found was now bounding on feral and murderous.
“Lower your weapons.” Fury ordered. His expression remained stoic as he placed a hand on Riley’s shoulder, snapping her attention back to him with bared teeth. “You need to calm down.”
Tony eyed the situation before him, taking into account that there were several agents around with their weapons lowered but still armed. This wasn’t an ideal position for the little wolf.
“Why? Let the little wolf have her fun.” Tony sniffs as he stuffs his hands into his pockets.
“Stark.” Fury snips.
“What? We know how much secrets are the worst thing to keep around people like us. Why not let her go after whatever it is that’s got her hackles up?” Tony continues – the growling was losing its intensity as he spoke.
“Unless the whole reason you didn’t share what was being extracted was because you knew this was the outcome. Which in any case is bad planning on your part.” Tony gestures his hand around at the situation.
“Stark does us all a favour and shut the fu-”
“Call off your drones Fury.” The words were soft, much softer than the threats that she had been using previously.
Fury waved his palm at the agents around them, each took the signal with caution, but all disarmed their weapons and backed off.
“Two months you had me trailing people. Two months I did everything by code, by the training you made me do. Two months to get information on a man worse than death himself. Now,” she releases Fury and steps back.
“Talk.”

I'm sick again (YAY) so what better thing to do than to read my favorite marvel fic of all time?????
How is this still so breathtaking and catchy to me??? Did you miss something in? Is this magic?
Cover You In Oil, Part 1
WordCount: 8496 (I promise this is the only chapter that insanely long. I swear. The other ones average around 3500 words) Tags: @outside-the-government, @yourtropegirl @to-pick-ourselves-up-7 (please let me know if you want to be tagged) Author’s Note: I started writing this fic in July of 2015, shortly after my Mum was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. The idea came to me one day as I was driving to work, so clearly… I knew I had to write it. I love the soulmate trope. As usual - since this isn’t a Star Trek fic and this is a Star Trek blog, let me know if you want to continue to see it or not. Description: Sally Manners has spent her life avoiding the man whose name is etched on the inside of her thigh. Until suddenly she can’t. Tony Stark x OFC, Soulmate AU.
Her mother’s soulmark was a beautiful scratchy line of her dad’s script along the side of her foot. It said “You look lost”. A beautiful opening line. Sally’s dad’s soulmark was slightly less romantic, “Not hard to be, in ButtFuck Nowhere”, etched in the large loopy letters of her mom’s hand, just above his collarbone. The romantic notion of the soulmark was not quite so romantic in its gritty reality. This became all the more evident when Sally’s soulmark rose on her skin. It had always been there, a dark, snake-like smudge starting on the outside of her thigh and twisting around her leg before ending just above the inside of her knee. As she got older, and the words finally became visible, Sally realized she would be better hiding out in ‘ButtFuck Nowhere’ with her grandparents, working at the Piggly-Wiggly than ever trying to pursue her passion for anything that might bring her in contact with him. The problem was, her summers spent with Nan and Pops sparked a passion for classic car restoration. And she was damn good at it. It was like it was written in the stars that she was going to eventually meet the man whose actual name was seared on her skin.
Sally had never heard or met anyone whose soulmark actually identified their soulmate. It reeked of arrogance and conceit. It would have been one thing if the damn name had been something common, like John Smith. But even in the days before Wikipedia and Google, Sally had heard of him.
“I’m Iron Man, but I don’t mind if you scream Tony motherfucking Stark when my face is buried between your thighs.” The letters were precise, perfect block letters that almost looked unreal. The first time she’d managed to read all the words, she couldn’t figure out what it meant, but after her first clumsy foray into sexual experimentation, she knew exactly what it meant. And every time she saw it, her cheeks flushed. She never wanted to meet him. She never wanted to hear those words. She never wanted to know what horrified response she would give.
Pops bought the Mustang when she was sixteen, and taught her how to do a complete teardown on it. She rebuilt it from the ground up. The ’65 Shelby Mustang had been rust, congealed oil and regret when Pops towed it into the backyard. Sally had thrown herself into it wholeheartedly, saving up every penny from every summer job she could manage to buy original parts to help restore the car.
“What colour will you paint it, Sal?” Pops asked as her nodded in approval.
“The only colour you can paint it, Pops. Red.” Sally could already see it in her mind’s eye. It took her a whole summer to save for the paint job. On her 18th birthday, Pops handed the pink slip to her, and a photo album documenting the entire job.
“Consider it your resume. You’ll never have a problem getting a job if you drive this car and show off that photo album,” Pops promised.

A Stark Absence - Chapter 21
Pairings: Tony Stark x OFC
A/N: Please see Masterpost for a note regarding this and upcoming chapters’ tags
Great news! The holidays are over! That means the busiest time of the year at my new job is over! Now I’m just working on getting a handle on my hours... I’ve been moved to salary and I’m still there all the time, even on days off, and still trying to come up with a way to streamline ordering until we are able to change our system to a more helpful one. BUT I’ve got a chapter and a half done, at last!
Thank you all for being so kind and patient while you’ve waited to see the next step in Tony and Evelyn’s journey! Every comment or kudos I see in my email, honestly gives me life, and tosses a log on that fire under my ass lol (please forgive me for not responding promptly, I will do better!)
Chapter 22 is nearly finished, but... I just.... have a decision or two to make in it and haven’t come to a conclusion yet. Please stay tuned! <3
AoS notes at the end

Chapter 21 of ?
AO3
Unspoken
Everything felt different. Being in the dream somewhat intentionally took the fear out of it; she knew where she was, she knew what to expect. Evelyn ran across the battlefield, not in panic, but in anticipation. She was running to Tony. She was going to see Tony. She’d be able to hold Tony.
Still, she stumbled. Still, she fell. Still, her lungs froze at the sight of him. It was future him, slightly older him, but the way his eyes went soft at the sound of her voice was the same as any given day in the tower, and she felt the corners of her mouth turn up at the sight of it.
And still, her heart shattered when he snapped his fingers. Still, she dropped to her knees by his side. Still, tears ran freely down her cheeks. But not at the loss. This time she was aware; she knew he was safe, somewhere out there.
She held his face gently in her hand, and ran her thumb delicately over his cheek. “Tony,” her voice was light and soft. “Look at me. Please,” she pleaded. “Tony, please.”
She saw the struggle as he dragged his eyes up to meet hers. A sad smile flitted across her lips. He placed his hand over hers. It lingered for a moment, then fell back to his side.
“I lo-” her voice caught in her throat. She drew in a shuddering breath. “I’ll be home soon,” she said, trying to smile through her tears as she reassured them both.
She pressed her salty lips against his until there were no more warm breaths against her cheek. Knowing what came next, she pulled back, eyes closed, not wanting to watch him fade away.
“Home? Darling, if that’s all you want, I can take you home…”
Evelyn opened her eyes to the darkness surrounding her. “You--what?”
“All you have to do is say the word, my dear, and we can go home…”
The whispers surrounded her, as sweet and taunting as ever. And his words… too good to be true.
“I, I don’t believe you,” she breathed.
“Believe what you like, darling,” his voice came closer, a faint breath brushing against her ear. “I’ll be waiting…”
Then, the demon allowed her to wake from her nightmare effortlessly. Yet Evelyn longed to return. To learn more about what he promised her. To see Tony again, to hold him again, no matter the circumstances.
Life had been moving so quickly around her that the empty space beside her had nearly gone unnoticed. But now… Now she desperately wanted to be back home. To be by Tony’s side. To see that he was alive and well. To think, no matter how naively, that she might be able to save him.
Evelyn used her free hand to wipe away her tears, then pushed herself up off the floor where she’d slept. With her movement, the lights automatically turned on. She was in a large broom closet. If she would have stretched out any more, her feet would have knocked several brooms and mops over. A vacuum was tucked in the corner, and on the floor beside it, her ring, with its red gem gleaming in the light.
And that was where it stayed.
Carefully, slowly, she pulled herself up to stand. After steadying herself, she opened the door, prepared to rejoin the group, but instead found Fitz, asleep, propped up against the wall across from the closet door. He, unlike herself, had shed his heavy coat and tucked it in between his head and shoulder as a pillow. A wrinkle in the middle of his brow suggested that he was not sleeping peacefully, but he continued to doze nonetheless.
The thought of sliding down against the wall beside him and falling back asleep was appealing, but the persistent pain in her back and shoulder reminded Evelyn that she’d most likely missed her last dose of meds, and it had been a struggle enough to get up off the floor a moment ago. Instead, she gently nudged his boot with her own.
He awoke at once, his eyes popping open and finding Evelyn at almost the same moment her boot made contact with his. “Evie, you’re alright. Are you alright? What-”
“I don’t wanna talk about it right now,” she said plainly.
“Right,” he nodded as he stood. “Simmons’ll be looking for you,” his voice was heavy with worry, and the crease between his brows remained as he undoubtedly noticed her puffy eyes.
She smiled gently, “Lead the way?”
“Of course.” His features relaxed a little, the crease fading just a bit, and he gestured for her to follow beside him down the hall.
After only a brief scolding, the room was quiet as Simmons dispatched painkillers and antibiotics, then ushered Fitz out through the door. She handed Evelyn a paper exam gown and asked her to change her top.
“It’s fine,” Evelyn said. “You’ve sewn me back together, seeing me in a bra shouldn’t be too shocking. I’ll need a hand anyway, I’m not used to unbuttoning a shirt with one hand.”
Simmons bristled and Evelyn couldn’t figure out why, until her coat was pulled away. Seeing the navy blue shirt reminded her of Simmons’ reaction when Fitz insisted Evelyn use one of his dress shirts instead of one of the few t-shirts she had, to make getting dressed easier. Evelyn had tried, adamantly, to refuse; she was very aware of the growing chasm between Fitz and Simmons, and did not want to contribute to it any further.
But Fitz had insisted. Simmons had grabbed the shirt from his hand in a huff and exclaimed, “Oh, for goodness sake! Just get out so she can get dressed!”
And that was the end of it.
“Sorry, I um, I just-”
“No,” Simmons smiled. “It’s no bother at all.”
The buttons fell away quickly beneath Simmons’ nimble fingers, and soon, the controversial shirt was laid aside on the exam table. She pulled on a pair of gloves and spun Evelyn around, then began prodding delicately around the deep purple bruise on her back, and checking the stitches holding the hole in her shoulder closed .
“Well. Looks like you’ve been careful enough,” Simmons began, then drew in a deep breath. “But you should certainly not go about sleeping on any more floors until it’s time to get these stitches out,” she finished with a chiding tone. “And you need to be sure to make yourself available when it’s time for your antibiotics from now on, or else that’ll end up infected. But I’m sure you already know that.”
“Roger that,” Evelyn responded with a nod.
“Good,” Simmons said. “Then let’s get you dressed and we’ll-”
The door was flung open and bounced off the stopper.
“Simmons, get- ohmagodimsorryiswearididntseeanything!” Fitz had burst through the doorway and immediately turned around, hands over his eyes, when he realized he’d intruded too soon.
“It’s fine, I’m completely covered,” Evelyn said, reaching for the blue shirt.
Simmons turned her gaping face from Fitz to Evelyn.
Fitz, however, remained firmly in place, and squeezed his eyes shut even tighter. “No! No! You are definitely not completely covered!”
Evelyn exhaled a laugh. “What does Simmons need to get?”
He began to lower his hands and turn to face her, his flaming cheeks peeking out from between his fingers, then swung back around, stuttered, and said, “Ward. Get ready for Ward.”
The shirt slipped between Evelyn’s fingers, falling to the floor as her breath caught in her throat.
Simmons reacted immediately, moving to re-check all of Evelyn’s wounds. “What is it? Where does it hurt?”
“Evie?” Fitz joined them, all concerns for Evelyn’s modesty gone.
Fingers tapped to her thumb on her right hand, and Evelyn focused very hard to steady her breathing. “No, uh, nothing. Nothing. I just, um…”
Fitz grabbed his shirt off the floor, then carefully began maneuvering Evelyn’s injured arm into it. “He doesn’t blame you, you know,” he said softly. “He knows you were only trying to do the right thing. No one could have known what would happen at the Hub after we left.”
A sound between a cry and a scoff escaped Evelyn. No one could have known… She knew. She knew now that Ward was every bit as dangerous as she’d initially assumed he was. But she couldn’t have known it would cost so many lives to leave him behind at the Hub.
He pulled the sleeve up her other arm.
A smile began, fell, then began again. “Right.”
“You’re sure nothing hurts? You look like you’re about to cry,” he said even quieter, close to her ear.
“I,” she began, then pressed her lips together. She needed to get her face straight before Ward walked in. “I’m fine, thanks.”
“You’re never fine when you say you are,” he mumbled as he began buttoning the shirt up.
She sighed lightly and let her eyes close for a moment. He was probably right. But she couldn’t be anything other than fine. Falling apart wouldn’t get her any closer to home. “Fine,” would have to suffice. She’d worry about everything else later.
Just as Fitz was fastening the last button before the collar, the door swung open again. Ward walked in, closely followed by Skye. His face was bruised, his lip bloody, and he was limping, holding his ribs.
Simmons gasped. “What on Earth…”
“Hydra,” Skye reminded her.
“We had to fight our way out,” Ward said with a wince.
Evelyn’s insides felt like they’d turned to stone. Hydra, indeed.
“Excuse me, I need to find Coulson,” she said, stepping towards the door. She didn’t want to hear anymore.
“Abel,” Ward said as she passed.
She paused, her pulse quickening. He held her eyes with his, and she saw a glimmer of the real Ward for the briefest moment. He knew. He was reading her features like an open book, and his eyes flashed with recognition at whatever it was he gleaned.
The corner of his lips turned up, “I’m glad you made it out alright.”
She cemented a smile on her face, trying to keep up the facade. “Yeah. Me, too.”
Her fingers were still tapping absently to her thumb. She didn’t notice. All she could focus on was getting out of that room. Could she tell everyone what was coming? What he would do? No. They probably wouldn’t believe it. Not until they could see it with their own eyes; Ward was Hydra. She was trapped, again, held hostage by her knowledge.
She slid past him, and made her way down the hall. Listening to the heavy thuds her boots made against the tiles, she tried to keep her pace steady, unhurried. The layout of the base was unfamiliar, she didn’t know where she was going, but anywhere away from Ward’s watchful eye would do.
“Miss Abel.”
Evelyn froze mid-step.
“Feeling alright?”
Recognizing the voice, she turned, relief calming her nerves. “Agent Coulson,” her smile reached her eyes as she watched him leave the room he’d called her from, “I’m fine, just… never been shot before. I guess I haven’t been handling it very well.”
“I don’t think anyone takes it well, but you’ve been doing great. I don’t know anyone who could take a bullet then hike for miles through difficult conditions the way you did.”
“I’m sure I have Simmons to thank for that.”
He nodded his head towards the end of the hall she’d just left, “I know you just came from that way, but, walk with me?”
“Oh, yeah, I, Simmons just checked me out and gave me meds, I’m good. I was actually looking for you so we could-”
“I know I promised we’d talk the other day, but it’ll have to wait a little longer. I need to talk to Ward and find out what happened.”
“Then I’ll just-”
“Join me? We can talk after,” he promised, looking at her expectantly.
“Yeah,” she said, fixing her fake smile in place. “Sounds good.”
Time passed. Tony sat in that chair, with his hand over his mouth, until his head became too heavy to hold up. He slid his hand to the side of his head, and remained in the chair, his eyes unfocused, thinking over all the mistakes he’d made that led to this point. That led to… to Ev not coming home.
At some point, Tony’s eyes became heavy. He tried to keep them open, but his body couldn’t fight the exhaustion anymore and, at last, his eyes closed, and his consciousness drifted away to a dreamless sleep. When he awoke, in the same chair, he was both relieved and disappointed. Dreams would have meant seeing Evelyn, being at the cottage, living their life together.
But, dreams would have meant seeing Evelyn, being at the cottage, living their life together… he wasn’t ready to revisit that.
He pried his eyes open and his gaze slowly roamed around the lab. Shit. That bottle of whisky didn’t make it. He blinked for a long second then looked to the other desk beside him. His head throbbed in protest, but he needed a drink, and knew he wouldn’t make it downstairs to get one just yet.
And there it was, his hope, his shining light: the remnants of a glass of something he’d left behind and not swept off a desk in his rage sat glimmering in the light that shone from above. He rolled his chair over, grabbed the glass, and tilted it up as he drained what little there was to be had.
Not enough.
He closed his eyes, his head pounding, Evelyn’s smiling face shining at him from behind his eyelids.
It wasn’t enough.
He’d made progress, ever since his brush with death from the palladium in his first arc reactor… he’d come a long way from relying on drinks to keep him from feeling the fear of it. But then there was the invasion, and then there were the anxiety attacks, and then the nightmares, and then and then and then, and eventually he’d found it easier to just keep a light buzz going all the time and things didn’t feel so… immediate. Death was more like a ship passing in the night rather than a looming presence pursuing him. Failure was more like something he was working to avoid rather than running towards.
But now? Now he needed more. A buzz wasn’t enough. He’d been fighting that feeling ever since Evelyn was taken; he knew he needed a clear head to find her and get her back. But now? Now that she… now that she might not be coming home?
He exhaled heavily, and pushed himself up out of the chair. But now, he needed a drink. He needed to go downstairs, get a bottle, and see if Rogers was still around. Shit. Maybe apologize for that right hook. Then he needed a drink. And he needed to find out what Rogers knew, where he’d gotten his information from, and then… Tony would have another drink, and try to find Evelyn.
Quick summary, might be repeating from before, sorry: in the show, everyone lets Ward go with Hand to deliver Garrett to the Fridge, without question. And that has always made no sense to me. So, he flies off, the rest of the team stays at the Hub, fix up the Bus, then they’re on the run bc Colonel Talbot told Coulson that he was on his way to the Hub with his men to take everyone in bc SHIELD can’t be trusted now bc of the Hydra leak (this exchange took place while Evelyn was out, getting stitched up and recuperating).
On the way to the Fridge, Hand has a gun out, asks Ward if he wants to kill the real Clairvoyant (Garrett), and hands it to him. He kills the other agents and Hand and frees Garrett, and they trick their way into the Fridge, to release dangerous criminals and steal lots of wild weapons. They get away, but once they reach their hideout in Cuba (?), Ward still has the external hard drive. They then find out that Skye encrypted it so that only she can unlock it or it will erase all the data on the drive. Garrett tells him he has to go back, and Ward’s kinda cool with it bc he’s for real falling for Skye.
Skye calls Ward when they get to the new base and finds out he’s alright, and he’s on his way back. Garrett gives him a good roughin up so his stories won’t be doubted. And I just covered previous chapters, too, I’m sorry, It was all a long-winded way of saying this last bit.

Merry December 2022 - Day 12
Day 12 of Merry December
Prompt: Reunion
Fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe
Pairing: Tony Stark x OFC (Raelynn)
Words: 508
T.W.: N/A
Summary: Coming home.
It wasn’t supposed to be like this, but after a serious death threat had been made against Tony and Raelynn and an attempt on their lives, they had to leave the country for a little while. At the time neither one of them was happy about it, but they both agreed to do it for the sake of the other. No one knew where they were or if they were ever coming back, having had no contact with them since the day they had left.
Rhodey was throwing his usual Christmas party at the compound, and everyone was there. Well, everyone minus Tony and Raelynn. Looking around the room, Rhodey felt a pang in his heart not seeing his best friend hanging around the room with a beer in his hand and his arm firmly wrapped around Raelynn’s waist, laughing at some silly joke Sam or Clint had made.
He was making his way to the kitchen to grab another beer when he heard a few gasps of surprise. Turning around, he was glued to his spot when he saw who was standing in the doorway of the common room, smiling like the cat who ate the canary.
It wasn’t planned. Tony and Raelynn weren’t supposed to be back in the country for another two weeks due to bureaucracy and having to get a flight to New York. But after a few calls and with Raelynn pulling some strings, they had managed to get a seat on a cargo plane and make it just in time for Rhodey’s yearly Christmas party.
Walking in the compound was a mixture of feelings, but the most prominent one was definitely happiness. They were home. Seeing everyone’s faces going from shock to happiness all in one go was priceless and watching Rhodey being speechless was icing on the cake.
Tony couldn’t resist taking a jab at his best friend. Asking him if all it took for him to learn how to shut up was for him to have to go underground, Tony watched the man roll his eyes before taking long strides towards them and enveloping him and Raelynn in a tight hug.
Letting go of the pair, Tony saw how all the people he and Raelynn had been missing throughout the whole year they had been away. Going down the line, getting hugs and kisses from everyone there, Tony couldn’t help but think of how fortunate they were.
Grabbing three beers from the kitchen, Rhodey couldn’t shake the smile on his face as he returned and gave the beers to Tony and Raelynn. Silencing everyone, he very quickly raised a toast to new and old friends, but also to the return of Tony and Raelynn and said how happy he was to have them back, a feeling echoed by everyone present.
Everyone cheered in response, making Tony and Raelynn feel something they hadn’t felt in over a year. They were home, they were finally home and there was no better feeling than the one they were feeling in that exact moment.

The world is always in need of saving—but will the Iron legacy and a shielded heart leave room for something more?
EPISODE 1 : COLLIDE
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The low hum of machinery filled your private lab, a familiar and soothing backdrop to the glow of various monitors and the holographic interface suspended above your desk. You were in your element here—surrounded by sleek gadgets, circuits, and blueprints only you understood. The soft, sterile light of the fluorescent bulbs bathed everything in a cool hue, making the outside world feel distant, almost irrelevant. Your hands moved with practiced precision, making the final tweaks to your latest invention—something sleek, cutting-edge, and powerful. It was not for public eyes, least of all Tony’s. Let him bask in the glory of his Iron Man suits and his public heroism. You preferred working in the shadows, away from the spotlight. After all, the real power came from the things people didn’t see.
Just as you were about to run another test, FRIDAY’s calm, computerized voice broke the silence. “Incoming call—Tony Stark.”
You let out a small, exasperated sigh, brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear. Of course Tony would interrupt now, just when you were getting into the groove. Without breaking your stride, you gestured toward the nearest screen, signaling FRIDAY to patch the call through.
Tony’s face flickered to life on the screen, his usual cocky grin already plastered across his face. He looked annoyingly well-rested for someone who constantly threw himself into world-saving chaos.
“Hey, sis. Got a minute?” His tone was casual, but you could see the mischievous glint in his eyes. Tony always had an ulterior motive.
“Not for you,” you shot back, though your lips twitched with a slight smile. You’d perfected the art of giving Tony a hard time over the years. “What do you need, Tony?”
“Can’t a brother call to check on his favorite sibling?” He leaned back in his chair, looking entirely too pleased with himself.
You raised an eyebrow, feigning indifference. “We both know I’m your only sibling.”
“Touché,” he admitted, chuckling softly. "But seriously, I need you."
You froze momentarily, your hand hovering over the interface. Tony rarely outright asked for help, and when he did, you knew it was big. Slowly, you leaned back in your chair, crossing your arms over your chest as you gave him your full attention.
“I need my secret weapon,” Tony added, his voice dropping to that tone he used when he really wanted something.
You blinked at him, skeptical. “Secret weapon? Tony, I’m not about to be your backup tech support.”
Tony grinned, undeterred by your resistance. "This isn’t just tech support. It’s big. New team, new mission, bigger stakes. And who better to help me keep this bunch in line than you?"
You hesitated, glancing at the half-finished prototype on your desk. For years, you’d operated under the radar, happy to let Tony soak up the limelight. Being his sister came with a certain level of scrutiny you’d avoided like the plague. You preferred the quiet. The idea of stepping into the Avengers' world—especially now—seemed chaotic at best.
“I’m not suiting up, if that’s what you’re thinking,” you finally said, narrowing your eyes at him. The last thing you needed was to get dragged into one of his world-saving escapades in some shiny new armor.
“Of course not,” Tony grinned, though there was a playful glimmer in his eyes that told you he wasn’t ruling anything out entirely. “Just come to the Tower, meet the team. If you hate it, you can go back to hiding in your lab and pretending you’re not a genius like me.”
You rolled your eyes, though the thought lingered. A new team? A new mission? Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to check it out. If things went south, you could always disappear back into the shadows. But something in Tony’s tone hinted at urgency, something serious brewing on the horizon. He wasn’t just calling for fun. He needed you.
With a resigned sigh, you pushed off from the desk. “Fine. But this better not be some ploy to get me into an Iron suit.”
Tony’s smirk widened. “No promises.”
The call ended with a flicker of the screen, and you were left standing in the soft hum of your lab, the weight of Tony’s request hanging in the air. You glanced at your half-finished prototype one last time before grabbing your jacket, muttering under your breath, “What have I gotten myself into?”
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
Later, at Avengers Tower, you stepped into the grand lobby, the space sprawling before you like something out of a futuristic movie. Towering glass walls reflected the sunlight, creating a dazzling effect that made the entire room shimmer. High-tech displays blinked with data and notifications, while sleek metallic accents added to the modernity. It was a world apart from your cozy lab, and you couldn’t help but marvel at how Tony had truly outdone himself with this place. The grandeur was impressive, but you felt a knot tightening in your stomach, a sense of unease settling in as you stepped further inside.
Just as you took another step, a voice sliced through the air behind you, cool and assessing. “So you’re the sister Tony doesn’t like to talk about.”
You turned to face him, your heart pounding slightly at the sight of Steve Rogers, Captain America himself. He stood there, arms crossed over his chest, his muscular frame radiating authority. His expression was carefully neutral, but there was an edge to it—a mix of skepticism and something akin to wariness. He looked you up and down, his gaze critical, and you could already sense the judgment simmering beneath the surface. He thought you were just another Stark, another piece in Tony’s ego-driven game.
“And you’re the soldier out of time,” you replied, matching his coolness with your own. The words felt sharper than you intended, a defensive instinct kicking in. “Nice to meet you.”
Steve offered a tight nod, his lips pressed into a thin line, but he didn’t smile. “Tony’s told me a lot about you.”
“All bad, I hope,” you shot back, a hint of a smirk dancing on your lips. But Steve’s expression remained unyielding, the weight of his gaze unwavering.
“I’m not here to judge,” he stated, but his eyes bore into you, steady and measuring, as if he were trying to peel back layers of your identity with sheer will alone. “Just here to see if you’re serious.”
“Serious?” You scoffed, your heart racing with indignation. “About what?”
“About helping, about doing what’s right. We’ve got enough egos on this team.”
Your smirk faded, replaced by a flash of frustration. “You don’t even know me.”
“I know your brother.”
“Yeah, well, I’m not Tony,” you retorted, your voice sharper than you intended. The tension between you crackled in the air, palpable and thick. You hated the feeling of being judged before someone even bothered to know you, and clearly, Steve didn’t like the idea of another Stark stepping into the fold.
For a moment, silence engulfed you, and you could almost hear your heartbeat thundering in your ears. The intensity of Steve’s gaze felt like a spotlight, and you wondered if he could see through your facade, exposing the vulnerabilities you kept hidden. You could sense his protective instincts flaring, the weight of responsibility resting on his shoulders, and somehow, you felt like an outsider even though you were family.
Just as the tension threatened to spiral further, Tony strolled into the room, an air of nonchalance enveloping him. “Hey, you two! Getting along already?” His grin was impossibly wide, brightening the atmosphere even as it made the air around you feel heavier with unresolved tension.
You shot Tony a glare that could’ve cut through steel. This was not the time for his usual bravado. Steve merely shook his head, the corners of his mouth twitching in an attempt to contain a smile. “We’ll see,” he replied, his tone light but his eyes still fixed on you, as if he were weighing the likelihood of your success in this new venture. Then, with a final, assessing glance, he turned and walked off, leaving you standing there, frustration simmering just below the surface.
“Great. This is off to a fantastic start,” you muttered under your breath, a mixture of annoyance and apprehension churning inside you. The day had barely begun, and already you could feel the weight of expectation bearing down on you. As the lobby buzzed with the energy of heroes and high-tech innovation, you couldn’t shake the feeling that you were walking a tightrope, teetering between proving yourself and succumbing to the shadows that felt all too familiar.
With a deep breath, you steeled yourself, reminding yourself that you were here to help. No matter what Steve Rogers thought, you had your own strengths, your own path to carve in this world. You just had to figure out how to make them see that.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The air in the war room was thick with tension as Tony briefed you on the mission, his voice crisp and urgent. “So here’s the deal: leftover Chitauri tech has been activated by HYDRA operatives in the city. It’s supposed to be a routine clean-up mission, but we know better than to underestimate anything HYDRA gets their hands on.” His brow furrowed, the usual playful glint in his eyes replaced by a seriousness that made your stomach knot.
You listened intently, nodding as he laid out the plan. But as he insisted you tag along—even if just to observe and assess—you felt a mix of excitement and dread. You weren’t officially part of the team, yet here you were, being dragged into the chaos by your brother’s unwavering belief in your abilities.
When you arrived at the scene, the streets were already in chaos. The sounds of sirens blared, drowning out the shouts of frantic civilians being evacuated. Smoke billowed into the air, curling around toppled cars and shattered glass. You felt a chill run down your spine as you surveyed the destruction.
Amid the chaos, Steve barked orders at the rest of the team, his authoritative voice cutting through the noise like a beacon of hope. You hung back, monitoring the situation from a mobile unit that Tony had rigged up for you—a lifeline of information in a storm of uncertainty.
“Stay behind the lines!” Steve called out to you over his shoulder, his tone firm as he and Natasha led the charge into the fray.
You rolled your eyes, a mixture of annoyance and determination bubbling inside you. "I know what I’m doing, Captain," you shot back, trying to sound more confident than you felt. The last thing you wanted was to be coddled like a helpless child.
Just as the fight erupted, the atmosphere shifted. A crackling energy surged through the air, and before you could process the threat, one of the HYDRA operatives unleashed a pulse from the Chitauri device. The wave of electricity shot toward you, a blinding flash of danger that sent adrenaline coursing through your veins.
In that split second, everything shifted. Time seemed to slow as you braced for impact, your instincts screaming at you to move, to do something—anything. But before you could react, Steve surged forward like a force of nature. He slammed his shield into the ground with a resounding thud, creating a barrier that absorbed the surge of energy before it could reach you.
You stumbled back, wide-eyed, the reality of what had just happened crashing over you like a tidal wave. Steve turned to you, his expression a mixture of concern and frustration. “I said stay behind,” he said, his voice clipped, but there was a hint of protectiveness that made your heart race.
“I had it under control,” you snapped back, though deep down, you knew that wasn’t entirely true. You felt a surge of embarrassment rising within you, the remnants of the adrenaline making you defensive.
Steve didn’t argue further, but his gaze lingered on you, his eyes searching yours as if he were trying to gauge the depths of your resolve. The moment stretched out, thick with unspoken tension, and you could sense a silent acknowledgment between you—this was new territory for both of you, a fragile thread connecting your destinies.
But as quickly as it had come, the moment shattered. With a final look that communicated both concern and determination, Steve charged back into the fray, his shield raised high as he fought against the chaos. You stood there, heart racing, grappling with a whirlwind of emotions—frustration, admiration, and a flicker of fear for what lay ahead.
With a deep breath, you refocused on the task at hand. You weren’t going to let this moment define you. You had to prove to yourself, and to Steve, that you belonged here—among heroes and legends. The fight was just beginning, and you were ready to carve your place in it.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The mission concluded in a flurry of activity and relief, but the tension between you and Steve lingered in the air like an unresolved chord. Back at the Tower, you settled in front of the computer, the glow of the screen casting an almost ethereal light across your face as you replayed footage of the battle. Each frame brought back the chaos—the electricity crackling, the screams of civilians, and Steve’s shield slamming into the ground just in time to save you. The rush of adrenaline from earlier mixed with a more unsettling feeling as you examined the moment you almost lost everything.
As you scrolled through the footage, you felt a presence behind you. You didn’t need to turn around to know it was Steve; the weight of his gaze felt palpable, a steady warmth that contrasted sharply with the intensity of the battle you had just fought. He stood in the doorway, arms crossed, his silhouette framed by the soft light of the hallway, watching you with a quiet intensity.
“You handled yourself well out there,” he finally said, his voice low and sincere, cutting through the silence that surrounded you.
Surprised, you glanced up at him, momentarily meeting his gaze. “Thanks,” you replied, your voice a mix of pride and humility.
“But next time,” he continued, the firmness returning to his tone, “don’t make me have to save you.”
A small, teasing smile tugged at your lips, a spark of your trademark confidence flaring up in response. “Don’t worry, Captain. I won’t,” you shot back, your tone light, though beneath it was a current of seriousness.
Steve didn’t respond immediately, his expression shifting as he studied you. In his blue eyes, you caught a flicker of something deeper—perhaps a grudging respect, maybe even a hint of admiration. It made your heart flutter unexpectedly, a rush of warmth that was both thrilling and confusing. The Captain of America saw you, and for a moment, the weight of expectations from being Tony Stark's sister lifted, replaced by a connection that felt genuine.
He nodded once, a subtle acknowledgment of the moment shared between you, before turning to leave. As he walked away, you couldn’t shake the feeling that this wasn’t just another fleeting exchange. You were carving out your own space in this team, proving that you were more than just Tony’s sister—you were a force to be reckoned with in your own right.
Left alone in the dim light of the lab, you turned back to the screen, but your thoughts were no longer on the footage. Instead, your mind lingered on Steve’s quiet strength, his unwavering resolve. You were beginning to understand that there was more to him than just the Captain—the man behind the shield had his own battles, his own vulnerabilities.
And you felt an undeniable pull towards him, a sense of camaraderie that was slowly transforming into something deeper. The mission had ended, but the journey was just beginning, and you were more determined than ever to prove yourself—not just to Steve, but to the entire team.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
The mission had been a success, but the moment Steve saw you—Tony’s sister—standing there, he felt the weight of responsibility tugging at his heart. He knew you had potential; he’d seen you handle yourself with surprising skill, but he wasn’t prepared for how much the little spark in your eyes got under his skin.
Leaning against the doorway, he watched you replay the footage of the battle. You were focused, your brow furrowed in concentration, and it captivated him. You radiated a unique blend of confidence and determination, much like your brother, yet with a warmth that was distinctly your own.
When he finally spoke, telling you that you handled yourself well out there, he truly meant it. But as soon as the words left his mouth, he felt a mix of admiration and wariness wash over him. You were Tony’s sister—his little sister. He recalled the stories Tony had told him about your childhood, the sibling rivalry, and how fiercely protective Tony had always been of you. That instinct felt like a wall between them, even as he felt drawn to you.
“Don’t make me have to save you,” he warned, hoping to impress upon you the importance of caution. He had seen too many people underestimate their enemies, and he didn’t want you to be another victim of that recklessness.
Your response—light and teasing—pulled a small smile from him, but it was quickly overshadowed by concern. “Don’t worry, Captain. I won’t.” It was infuriating how effortlessly you seemed to deflect his concern. You had a spark that reminded him of Tony, but there was something more disarming about you. Something that made it hard for him to maintain his composure.
He nodded, more to himself than to you, before he turned to leave. He didn’t want to admit how much your presence affected him, how he found you attractive in a way that made him question everything he knew about focusing on the mission. But he also understood that getting involved with Tony’s sister could complicate things—complicate his already tangled life.
*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧*:・゚✧
As the days turned into weeks, you became a more permanent fixture in the Tower, and Steve couldn’t help but notice how effortlessly you blended into their chaotic team dynamic. Watching you interact with the others was eye-opening. You had Tony’s quick wit, but there was a warmth in your approach that brought out the best in everyone.
He remembered a moment during a team meeting when Clint made a joke at your expense. Without missing a beat, you shot back, “If you’re going to insult me, at least make it clever.” The room erupted in laughter, and Steve found himself chuckling along, secretly impressed by your tenacity.
But the more time he spent with you, the more he struggled with his feelings. You were intelligent, fiercely capable, and incredibly brave—qualities he admired. Yet every time he looked at you, he felt the ghost of Tony’s protective nature hovering over them. He could practically hear Tony warning him to keep his distance, reminding him that you were off-limits. It was a mental tug-of-war, and every glance between them only heightened his awareness of how close they were getting.
One evening, you both worked late in the lab. He caught you watching him as he threw punches at a training dummy, a curious smile dancing on your lips. It was a moment of connection, but it also made his heart race in a way that both thrilled and terrified him. He knew you were trouble, yet there was something about you that drew him in, like a moth to a flame.

Laundry Day
How Could This Not Fit?! (Loki x fem reader Y/N)
Loads of Fun (Bucky x fem reader Y/N)
Pairing: Loki x female reader (y/n)
Summary: You and Loki are living together in the Avengers Tower and you've asked him to help you with the laundry. You decide it's the perfect opportunity to prank him but that might not have been a good idea... not if you wanted to sleep tonight that is.
Warnings: ... um nothing really, alluding to sex but not much
A/N: I finished my laundry and was folding (trying desperately to fold) my fitted sheet and I came up with this silly little thing so... enjoy 💚
You take a bottle of water out of the fridge in the common kitchen, laughing to yourself as you shake your head.
"Something funny in the fridge?" Tony asks from the island, looking up from his tablet.
You turn to him and open the bottle. "No, I was just laughing about something that could possibly get me in a lot of trouble with Loki," you barely explain.
"I have no idea what that means," Steve says as he and Bucky join the conversation.
You take a sip of water and set the bottle on the island. "I was tired of being the one who did our laundry all the time so I told Loki he needed to help me with it today," you start to tell them.
"Still not seeing the funny," Tony says sarcastically.
"I'm getting there," you wave away his comment and he chuckles. "So anyway, I told him to help and he did... an okay job of it. I mean, the dryer and him got in a bit of a fight but we finally got it done," you continue.
"Did he break the dryer cause I've gotta do like four loads of laundry tonight?" Bucky asks concerned as he pulls out the stool next to Steve.
"How could you possibly have to do four loads of laundry?" Tony turns towards him. "You own one hoodie and three henleys at most," he adds.
"Can we get back to my problem?" you pull their attention back to yourself. "I might not have much time left," you joke but you aren't actually sure how long until Loki comes looking for you.
"What did you do to him?" Steve asks, sounding concerned for your safety. Loki would never hurt you of course, he loved you too much, but when you annoyed him you always found it hard to walk the next day.
"Well, he put all the laundry away using his magic but I told him that was cheating. He said it wasn't and we went back and forth for a bit until I made him a bet," you smile. Loki could never resist a wager, especially since he always assumed he would win, and he usually did. "I bet him... something," you suddenly realize you don't necessarily want the guys to know the dirty things you promised Loki and they all look away awkwardly for a moment as if they understood that.
"Right, whatever... so the bet was for him to make the bed himself, without his magic," you tell them.
"Look, I still don't like him very much but, give him a little credit. I think he's smart enough to figure it out," Bucky says.
"Yeah, that doesn't really seem like a bet you're going to win, Y/N," Steve agrees.
"Well... I might not have except for one teeny tiny little bitty detail," you assure them.
"Which is?" Tony asks with a mixture of curiosity and agitation that the story is taking so long.
"I switched the sheet set," you say, they all stare at you confused and you sigh. "I gave him a full size set... and we have a queen bed. There's not a chance in hell he's going to be able to get the fitted sheet on and if he does manage it, I'll know he used his magic and still win," you smile broadly, proud of yourself for tricking the trickster God.
"Well that's a dangerous game to play," Steve says and before you can respond you hear Loki coming down the hall.
"Y/N," he says when he enters the kitchen. You swallow as your mouth goes dry, he does not look happy. "You cheated," he says without question.
"No, I was just..." you try to explain but he walks towards you, keeping his eyes locked on yours.
"You... cheated," he says slowly as he backs you into the counter by the sink.
"I mean, only a little," you say with a smile but he doesn't smile back. "And I only did it to make sure you didn't use your magic," you quickly try to explain.
"Um, I think we should go... literally anywhere else," Steve says as Loki grips your waist with both hands and keeps you pressed between himself and the counter.
"Don't worry, we're leaving," Loki says with a smirk, still looking only at you. Without warning he picks you up and throws you over his shoulder. You gasp and the suddenness of it and he uses one arm to hold you in place by the back of your legs as he turns to leave the kitchen. He pauses and picks up your water bottle. "You'll need to keep hydrated, it's going to be a very long night, love," he says as he carries you down the hall towards your room.
I hope you liked this!! Please like, share and comment if you did 💚💚

Tony Stark x F!Reader
Prompt: “i can't believe you don't like hugs."
Summary: you come home to the tower to hear that your teammate tony has been awake for days. you take it upon yourself to get to complete some much-needed self-care.
Warnings: fluff.
Word Count: 1,741

The door sounded with a quiet, welcoming ding as the elevator arrived on your floor, the lights of your suite already on and pleasantly dimmed to accommodate to the tenderness of your eyes this late at night. It was a little before three in the morning, and while your flight had had no major issues and the traffic between the airport and Avengers Tower had been blessedly in your favor, it was still agonizing to be getting home so late.
Home.
It still surprised you how quickly you’d come to think of this place as more than just a place to sleep, more than what had originally felt like a ridiculously over-sized hotel room. It had been only six months since Loki’s attack on New York, and while the renovations to the Tower were not yet finished, your suite had been one of the first floors to be completed. And now it somehow felt far more familiar to you than any of the countless beds you had claimed over the last twenty-seven years.
“Welcome back, Ms. Y/L/N,” the cool, friendly voice of Tony’s personal assistant sounded from the invisible speakers above you. “I trust your journey was pleasant.”
“It was, for a nine-hour flight in a broken seat,” you replied with a sigh, stretching out the lingering kink in your lower back. You set your suitcase down by the elevator doors. “And how many times do I have to tell you; it’s just Y/N.”
“I’m sure only once more,” he replied. “As always.”
You chuckled, a small, tired smile lingering on your lips. “Are the others here?”
“Only Mr. Stark is in residence at the moment,” the A.I. informed you as you made your way further into your suite. You toed off your shoes, shedding your jacket and tossing it onto the nearby sofa. “Shall I inform him of your arrival?”
“Oh, no, I don’t want to wake him.”
There was a slight pause. “Mr. Stark is not asleep, Ms. Y/L/N.”
How an A.I. could have a variation in tone, you weren’t sure, but you stopped halfway to unbuttoning your jeans. “And how long exactly has Tony been awake?”
“…Almost eighty-three hours, ma’am.”
“I think I hate ‘ma’am’ even more than my last name.” you sighed, casting a glance towards the room to your left. The door was ajar, and you swore your bed was calling to you. “Where is he?”
“In the lab.”
“…Okay.”
***
A wall of sound greeted you as you stepped into the lab, and you flinched. It lowered immediately to a more bearable level, and you silently praised whatever part of JARVIS’ programming it was that could pick up on your discomfort like that.
“JARVIS,” Tony said without looking up from his work. “Don’t mess with my music.”
He was at the far end of the lab, moving between a couple of workbenches and the hologram of his latest designs with the disorganized, staccato rhythm you had begun to recognize as being a sign of sleep deprivation. There was a half-empty coffee pot on the bench closest to you, the scent of it gone stale. Tony’s clothes were rumpled, as was his hair, and you frowned when you noticed the shadows under his eyes. They were made darker by the blue light of the hologram between the two of you.
“I think we can do better on these reflector panels, J.,” he continued as though he hadn’t noticed you enter. “If this suit is going to work for stealth, I’m going to need the change to be instantaneous.” He waved a hand, and parts of the suit projected in front of him dropped away. “Scrap ‘em. Take it from the top.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Hello to you, too, Stark.” you said snidely despite your concern. “Or am I expected to call you ‘sir’ in here, too?”
“Only if you want me to get all tingly over it,” he retorted teasingly, finally pausing long enough to meet your eye. He gave you a genuine, if distracted and exhausted, smile.
“Most people just say ‘welcome home’.”
Tony returned to one of the benches, eyes fixating on a tablet screen. “Are you implying that I could possibly be ‘most people’?”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” you replied, sidestepping an abandoned helmet prototype. There was an empty coffee mug sitting inside it. The crockery was stained with dark brown rings. You made you way around to his workbench, pushing yourself up to sit on the edge of it beside him. “Tony, when was the last time you got some sleep?”
“You know the answer to that,” he said, pointedly avoiding your eye and focusing his gaze on the work in front of him. “Or did you come all the way down here just for a hug?”
“A hug? Hardly,” you said with a scoff.
Tony met your eye, raising a brow. There was a teasing tilt to his lips, a challenge in his expression. “I don’t accept that.”
“Accept what?”
“I can’t believe that you don’t like hugs.” he said, straightening. He moved to stand in front of you, his hands claiming your knees. You felt a warmth spread up from where he touched you to heat your belly, and you straightened slightly, wetting your lips with the tip of your tongue. “I refuse to accept it. I mean, for a woman completely capable of breaking every bone in my body with her bare hands, you’re downright cuddly.”
As he said the last words he reached up and touched the tip of his finger to your nose tauntingly, and you wrinkled it in response. He chuckled, and you rolled your eyes at him. Something about sleep deprivation always made him lighter, more teasing. While his usual jokes were witty and occasionally flirty, when you found him like this, he was… softer. “Has anyone ever told you that you are a massive dork?”
Tony’s grin widened, and he stepped back, holding up his hands as though you’d just proved his point. “See, anyone else would call me an asshole, but you – sweet, innocent thing that you are – go with ‘dork’.”
“Oh, Stark. Trust me,” you snickered, pushing yourself up off the edge of the table. It closed much of the distance between the two of you, your chest almost meeting his. You made a show of casting your eyes down over him before meeting his eye with a smirk. “If you actually knew me, the last word you’d be using to describe me is ‘innocent’.”
Intrigue flashed in his eyes, a curve to his parted lips sending an unexpected thrill up your spine. He made move to speak, but you pressed a finger to his lips. His smile widened against your skin.
“I’m sure whatever you were about to say would have been rife with innuendo, Tony,” you said. “But honestly, you kind of stink. How long’s it been since you had a shower?”
***
“Y’know, I’m not really sure why I had to stick around for this.” you called out over the sound of rushing water, folding your arms over your chest. You were standing outside the penthouse bathroom, your back against the wall beside the door. Steam billowed out of the open doorway, clinging to your bare arms.
The water shut off, and Tony’s reply came a few moments later, his voice echoing off the tile. “And here I thought you were worried about my wellbeing, sweetheart.”
“You’re not exactly at risk of drowning in the shower, Tony,” you pointed out. You heard his answering chuckle and the sounds of cabinet doors opening and closing. There was a long silence, punctuated only by the quiet sounds of shaving cream being sprayed and a razor against skin. “And you survived it. So, can I go to bed now?”
“And miss out on this quality team-bonding time?” he called out. “Shudder to think.”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes with a smile. “‘Team-bonding’? We’re missing a couple of key members here. Unless you’ve got Rogers stashed in your shower caddy.”
“Not exactly the member I’d pick for that,” he replied as he stepped through the doorway, wiping at his jaw with a towel. Another was slung securely around his hips. Rivulets of water marked his bare torso, droplets clinging to his chest. There was a teasing smirk on his lips, and you swallowed. “Now, Romanoff on the other hand—”
“I’m going to stop you there before this conversation devolves into casual misogyny,” you eye-rolled, holding up a hand.
“I’ll have you know I’m an equal opportunity lech.” Tony shot back, amused. “I just didn’t think Thor would fit in the caddy.”
You snorted a laugh.
“Right…” you said. He’d missed a tiny patch of shaving cream on the corner of his jaw, and you reached up to wipe it away with two fingers. Tony’s smile widened as you wiped it on his bare chest. You cleared your throat as you realized the intimacy of your actions. “Well, you’ve managed to navigate the perils of a penthouse bathroom, Iron Man. Congrats.”
“So, what’s your excuse now?”
Confusion creased the skin between your brows. “For what?”
Tony’s smirk twitched, and you recognized the challenge in his eyes. Something in the pit of your stomach fluttered. “For turning down a hug.”
You laughed, shaking your head disbelieving. “God, Stark, you are such a—”
Tony took hold of your arm, surprising you by pulling you toward him and bringing his lips to yours. They were soft and warm, teasing with the taste of spearmint. The clean scent of his body wash enveloped you, his fingers gentle but firm on your arm. The warmth of his body – still bolstered by the heat of the shower – leached into your skin, wrapping you in a ghost of an embrace that made you lean into him. The kiss lasted only a moment before he pulled back again, that expression of taunting flirtation still in place.
You pressed your lips together, your skin tingling. “What was that for?”
He shrugged a shoulder, tightening the towel around his waist. There was an annoying note of nonchalance in his expression, and self-assuredness that told you he knew exactly what kind of effect he’d just had on you. “Call it a thank you.”
“I—” you swallowed, forcing your breath to steady. “Most people just say ‘thank you’.”
He grinned, his teeth grazing his bottom lip. “Didn’t we agree that I’m not ‘most people’?”

Takes place between The Tower and The Holiday Special
Under the Table
In the early days of my relationship with the Avengers, it was a rare event that all of us had a meal together at a table. Ten people at a table felt more like a dinner party than a date. Sitting around on the couches just felt more familiar and comfortable. So when we did sit down to eat, it was a special occasion.
This one was my birthday.
The others had wanted to do something special, so they decorated the conference room and Bucky, Sam, and Wanda had cooked a large meal. It was nice and at the point where most of us had finished eating, Tony leaned back in his chair and put his hands behind his head. “We should have brought some games up with us,” he said. “I could go a few rounds of Cards Against Humanity right now.”
“I could go down and get something,” Steve offered.
“You’re still eating, Steve,” Wanda said. “Someone else can go.”
“Or!” Clint said, waggling his eyebrows. “Or… we could play a different kind of game.”
“Why do I get the feeling that you’re not talking about charades?” Sam asked.
“Because you know me too well, Sammy,” Clint said. “I saw this thing…”
“What have I told you about watching that stuff on the company wifi?” Tony scolded.
Clint smirked at him. “To invite you along when I do,” he teased and stuck his tongue out at Tony. “Anyway, as I was saying; I saw this thing. Someone gets under the table and starts going down on someone. And if the person getting blown or eating out gives it away that it’s happening to them, they have to go under the table. And if someone guesses the wrong person, it’s them. Like a Blow Job Roulette.”
“Okay, that sounds fun,” I said. “Can we?”
There was a murmur around the table, and one by one everyone agreed it sounded like it could be fun.
“Birthday girl goes first,” Sam said.
“Shouldn’t I be the one that gets eaten out first?” I countered.
“But then we’d all know it was you, and you’d just end up under the table,” Sam argued. “You might as well start down there.”
I laughed. The logic was flawed, but I figured it was as good a place as any. “Alright, pants off everyone,” I said, slipping off my chair onto my knees under the table. Everyone shuffled around, some of them just opening their pants and pulling their cocks out, while others stood and pushed their pants all the way down. Wanda and Natasha were both wearing skirts, so they just took off their panties and hoisted up their skirts. It was quite a sight under the table. Nine people all around me, pants down, and legs spread. Some of the men were already half-hard. I looked around, picking my target.
Of all the members of the group, Wanda was calling to me the most. She was wearing thigh-high black socks, heeled boots, and a black skirt that was bunched up. Her legs were spread and the little thatch of pubic hair glistened invitingly.
I crawled over to her, putting my hands on her thighs. She tensed and I ducked my head forward, licking up her slit. I wondered what she looked like right now. How she was hiding what was happening. If she was hiding it. From where I was, it seemed so obvious. Her muscles had clenched and she’d tilted her hips forward. I could even feel a slight shake in her thighs. I couldn’t imagine it not being totally obvious from above the table, but if she was, no one had said anything yet.
I pushed my tongue inside her and flicked it up over her clit, painting little shapes over it. She squirmed and her cunt flooded, and as the tart, musky flavor of her slick filled my mouth, Bucky, Tony, and Clint all called out at once. “Wanda!”
“No fair!” Wanda whined as I pulled away.
“That’s the game, Wanda,” Sam said. “Now under the table.”
I crawled out and wriggled out of my pants as Wanda climbed in under the table. I sat down and nothing seemed to happen for a while. I could hear Wanda moving under the table for a moment, and then after that, it was just the sounds of people picking at the last of the food and random conversation in the group.
All of a sudden Clint yelped and practically rocketed up off his chair. “Wanda!” he scolded. “No powers!”
She got up giggling as everyone burst out laughing. “Did someone get invaded by some pink light?” Tony teased.
“That’s one way to put it,” Clint said as he climbed under the table.
It took a really long time before the next person became clear. I was studying everyone very closely, and the only thing that had me wondering was the slightly bored looks in the eyes of Natasha and Tony. Which made me think it was more likely Tony as he usually dominated the conversation. It wasn’t until his brow furrowed and he moved his hand under the table that I knew for sure it was him.
“Tony!” I yelled, pointing at him. “It’s you!”
“Ah, shit,” Tony said, reaching under the table with both hands and began to rut his hips. “Wait, Clint, I’m nearly done.”
“Hey now,” Steve said. “You can wait like the rest of us.”
Clint made a choked sound and stumbled out from under the table, his eyes watering, and he wiped his mouth. “Jesus,” he cursed. “Tony was a terrible choice.”
“Oh, baby,” Tony said, as he smoothed down his shirt. “The amount of calls I’ve taken while I’ve been balls deep in someone.”
“Alright, alright, get under the table smart ass,” Steve said.
Tony laughed as he climbed under, and I decided on a completely different strategy. I glanced around the table, trying to see if anyone had given it away, but at the same time, I tensed my hands and took in a shaky breath.
“Elly!” Clint, Steve, Natasha, and Sam all said at once.
“No!” I shouted and Bruce groaned. “It’s Bruce!”
“You little…!” Natasha scolded. “That was evil!”
Tony had broken down into laughter under the table and he crawled his way out. “That was awesome,” he said. “Now what? Do all of you have to get under the table?”
“Might I suggest that we alter the game?” Thor asked. “Perhaps, rather than all of us trying to work out who is being pleasured, Lady Elise should be blindfolded and have to work out which of her lovers is pleasuring her.”
“I think that sounds like a fantastic idea,” Natasha said. “If she can guess, then they can make her come. If not, she just gets edged.”
“What do you think of that, Elise?” Steve asked.
I nodded enthusiastically. “Yes, please. It is my birthday after all.”
“We might need lube and something to blindfold El with,” Sam said. “I mean - if we’re going to have real fun that is.”
Wanda lifted her loop scarf off over her head, and Tony, Clint, Natasha, and Thor all fished in their pockets and pulled out lube. What was funny was none of them had the same kind of lube. Tony had the warming gel kind, Clint’s was espresso flavored, Natasha’s doubled as a massage gel, and Thor’s was an oil he’d brought from Asgard and came in a delicate-looking, hand-blown glass bottle.
Steve and Wanda approached me as the others started clearing the table. “Let’s get you ready, Elise,” Steve said.
Steve lifted my shirt off over my head and Wanda unfastened my bra. I let the fabric slip down my arms and Steve tossed both it and my bra aside. Wanda kissed me softly and then wrapped the scarf around the top of my head, obscuring my vision. When it was in place properly, and I had assured them I couldn’t see anything, Steve lifted me and put me on the table.
I lay back and lifted my legs, spreading them and resting my feet at the edge of the table. They made me wait a moment, and while I waited, they were clearly not keeping their hands to themselves. There were moans and the soft wet sounds of kissing around me, which only made that wait worse.
My thighs were trembling by the time someone touched me. Right away I knew it was one of the guys and not Natasha or Wanda, and given the fact that he touched me with both hands, and they were both flesh, I knew it wasn’t Bucky either.
There was no preamble. Whoever it was just lunged in and began to lap up the length of the slit. They didn’t even try spreading me with their fingers, rather their tongue pushed between my folds and just got to work. I could feel the scratch of their beard. Yet, even without that, they were very skilled with their tongue. It started wide, sweeping up from my entrance to my clit, and then began to focus on the little but, sending little jolts through me. I didn’t even need the extra sensation of their long hair tickling the insides of my thighs, I knew it was Thor. The size of his hands, the beard, and the technique all screamed the god of thunder to me.
“Mmm… Thor,” I moaned, lifting my hips to meet his mouth.
A deep booming chuckle sounded between my legs and Thor sent a jolt of electricity right through my clit making my body jerk up hard. I nearly came just from that.
“How do you even do that?” Tony laughed. “You are too good at this game.”
“You gotta make me come now,” I said breathlessly, reaching down to tangle my hands into Thor’s hair.
“Don’t worry, lover. I will,” Thor said.
He was good to his word. He pulled my clit between his lips and began to flick his tongue over it. Every now and again, he’d send another spark into it, that made my core muscles clench completely out of my control. It brought me careening to the edge very quickly and the fourth time he did it, the dam burst and I came, arching up hard off the table as my orgasm crashed through me.
“Fucking hell!” I cried out.
“Damn, Thor,” Sam said. “That had to be some kind of record.”
“I am a god, Samuel,” Thor bragged.
There was only a short wait for the next person to move up. It was another one of the men and once again, clearly not Bucky. This person was much more tentative than Thor, spreading my folds with his fingers, and slowly swirling his tongue over them. He was tender and methodical, and it sent a warm buzz through me, oozing out like honey on tiles. There was no beard, and the very faint tickle of the hair on his head on my thighs.
“Bruce,” I moaned, arching my back and lifting one leg so it was draped over his shoulder.
“What the fuck?” Tony cursed. “You’re gonna be having so many orgasms tonight.”
“I know you all too well,” I moaned. “Gonna have to mess up on purpose so I don’t die.”
“Let’s see how you go,” Bruce said and eased two fingers inside me.
Bruce was slower and more methodical about things than Thor, at least initially. He pushed his fingers in deep, touching my g-spot and then stroking over it. As he did, he pulled my clit between his lips and flicked his tongue over it. The louder I moaned the rougher he got, so it wasn’t long before he’d gone from careful and slow, to rough and fast. His fingers hammered into my g-spot, over and over, sending sharp jolts right through me, making it so I couldn’t think straight. Beside me, someone had started having sex, and from the sounds of it, it’d be a while before Clint was down between my legs.
My orgasm peaked and Bruce pushed his fingers against my g-spot and twisted his wrist, and I came, my back arching off the table as I cried out, shuddering with it.
Bruce hummed and pulled away. “Mmm… I love seeing you come,” he hummed, leaning down to kiss me.
I sucked my slick from his lips and he pulled away, running his hand down my stomach and patting my pussy before pulling away. I didn’t have to wait very long before the next person to take their place. Right away I could tell it was one of the women, which narrowed the choice down to two. I almost wanted to just take a shot in the dark and really freak them out. I didn’t even need to though, the slow tease of her fingers up my thighs, and the way she ran her nails over my hips as she leaned in, I knew right away it was Natasha. Not because she always touched me like that, but just that it was uniquely her.
“Natasha!” I said quickly.
She cursed in Russian and Tony burst out laughing, while at least two other people applauded me. I would have taken a bow if I wasn’t flat on my back. “That’s my girl,” Natasha praised and got to work.
Her nimble fingers pushed inside me and immediately pushed against my g-spot. I gasped and bucked up hard against her, but she just pushed my hips back down and continued doing it. She countered the intense pressure of her fingers against that sweet spot inside me with her tongue on my clit. It was intense. I couldn’t focus. Lights popped behind my eyes and each time I tried to say something all that came out was an animalistic cry.
When I came, I gushed, spraying Natasha with my juices as I arched hard on the table. It was so intense, it knocked every conscious thought out of my head and I just oozed down onto the table, breathing heavily, completely forgetting that there were still six more people to go.
“Well done, Mishka,” Natasha praised.“I hope you have more in you.”
I wasn’t so sure. In fact, when the next person stepped up, it took me a moment to realize there was even someone there. Their tongue was lapping up and down my folds before I was truly aware enough to remember I was supposed to be playing a game.
The way they lapped their tongue was almost soothing after the intensity of the last orgasm I had. There was a scratch of beard on my skin, but my foggy head made it hard to think about which beard it could be.
Finally, it clicked into place. No metal hand. That cut out Bucky. Clint and Steve were both clean-shaven. Which just left Tony and Sam. I was sure that Tony would want to torture me after what happened and he wouldn’t be going easy on me at all. “Sam…” I moaned, the sounds completely breathless.
“We should never have doubted you,” Thor said. “This is truly impressive.”
“Are you sure you’re not peeking?” Clint asked.
“Just know you all,” I argued in that same breathless moan.
Sam pulled back and a moment later there was the press of his cock against my cunt. “Let’s make you come a different way,” Sam said.
He lifted my legs so they were up against his chest and he pushed into me. As he started to thrust into me, I gripped the edge of the table to hold myself steady. “Oh fuck,” I moaned. I was so sensitive and overworked, that I knew the next six orgasms would happen really fast. I was going to be completely over-stimulated by the time we were done.
Sam slid his hands down my thighs and onto my cunt, and he began to rub my clit in tight circles. I mewled, arching my back and clenching tight around his shaft. “Oh god, Sam. Please…” I didn’t even know what I was pleading for. I just knew I needed something. More, harder, slow down, be gentle. Or maybe just to stop.
His thumb kept rubbing in tight circles on my clit and thrusting in fast and deep, and very quickly I was brought spiraling to the edge once more. He pinched my clit and I went toppling over, crying out and clenching my teeth as all my muscles clenched up at once.
“Good girl,” Sam praised. “There we go.”
He slipped out of me and I let my legs fall on the table. “You still okay?” he asked.
I nodded and made an incoherent sound. He caressed my cheek and ran his thumb over my bottom lips. “Elise, are you sure?”
I nodded again. “Yeah. I can do this.”
He stepped away and the next hand touched me. Just the right hand, and it slid up my legs and when it reached the apex of my thigh, the thumb ran up and down my slit. Someone might have been just trying to mess with me, but I didn’t think so, and when the person crouched and their long hair teased the inside of my thighs it confirmed it. “Bucky,” I said.
He laughed. “Damn it. I was trying not to give it away.”
“That’s what gave it away,” I said.
“Alright, alright, let’s make you come then,” he said, sounding a lot like he was pouting.
He didn’t even bother to try and go down on me. He just pushed my legs up against my body, lined his cock up to my cunt, and shoved in deep. I gasped as he bottomed out and I felt the sharp sting of the head of his cock hitting my cervix. “Bucky,” I whined.
“Sorry, honey,” he said, backing off a bit. He smoothed his hands down my thighs and began to thrust.
I reached up, grabbing his wrists as he thrust into me and I wrapped my legs around his waist, drawing him in as tightly as I could. “Bucky,” I moaned. “Kiss me.”
He wrapped his right arm around my waist and lifted me, so I was sitting on the edge of the table and the cool metal of his thumb brushed over my lips. I parted them, leaning forward as I wrapped my arms around him and pushed my hands into his hair.
He kissed me, his tongue pushing into my mouth. I flicked my tongue forward to meet his and they danced together. Bucky kept thrusting into me and I rolled my hips to meet him. As worked up as I was, I knew I wouldn’t last, but the way this orgasm built felt so different from the past four. It wound around me like a warm blanket. I was engulfed by it, cocooned completely. It heated me from the inside and yet I trembled in Bucky’s arms. He held me close, thrusting in deep and kissing me with a passionate intensity that took my breath away.
When my orgasm washed over me, I threw my head back and clenched tight around me. “Oh god, Bucky,” I moaned.
Bucky’s hips stuttered and he groaned loudly, burying his head in my neck. “Fuck, Elly,” he groaned, suddenly jerking forward and coming inside me.
“Bucky Barnes, you dirty dog,” Clint scolded. “Leaving a mess in there for us to clean up.”
I swatted lazily in Clint’s direction as Bucky started laughing. “Oh like you’re not looking forward to that.”
He pulled out of me and I lay back with a groan. It wasn’t long before someone else was between my legs. They lifted them and spread them wide and then did something that gave them away immediately. They laughed.
“What’s so funny, Tony?” I asked.
“Ah fuck,” he said. “Didn’t even get a chance to trick you. I just had plans to go to town on you.”
“Mean,” he said, reaching for him. “Go on, you gotta give me my prize.”
“Alright, alright,” he said and pushed his cock up against my cunt. “It’s coming and so will you be.”
I laughed, but it was cut short as he shoved inside of me. He thrust in so hard it nearly knocked the wind from me. I cried out and reached above my head. Someone grabbed my hand and I held onto them as Tony began to thrust into me.
He didn’t go easy on me the way Bucky had. He grabbed my legs, held me in place, and just railed into me. “Fuck… fuck… fuck…” I babbled as I was jolted on the table. My fingers tightened around whoever’s hand I was holding. It felt like this orgasm was being hammered into me. Each thrust of Tony’s hips just made it build more and more until I was ready to burst.
It hit me hard, lights popped behind my eyes and I cried out, my hips bucking and my body writhing under him. “Oh fuck yes, Tony!” I mewled.
Tony kept thrusting, fucking me through my orgasm, and with a shudder he came too, moaning as he did. “There you go, Legolas,” Tony teased as he held me in place.
He leaned down and kissed me as he pulled out, and stepped away. A lay on the table breathing heavily, waiting for the next person the move up.
I didn’t have to wait long, and once again, I knew who it was as soon as their hands were on my skin.
“Wanda,” I said.
She giggled. “I knew there was no point trying to trick you. But lucky you, now you get your prize.”
She took her hands off me completely and just as I wondered what she was doing, the warm tingle of her powers touched on my feet and began to wind their way up my leg. It was slow going, and it didn’t settle on my cunt right away, rather, it wrapped its way right around me, making my whole body buzz and tingle.
I whined, squirming on the table. I was still holding someone’s hand, and I gripped it tighter, trying to tether myself to something real.
“Please, Wanda,” I whined, bucking my hips.
She giggled again, but things started to get more focused. It swirled around my nipples, tugging on them, and began to buzz against my clit. I moaned, arching my back and the pressure increased. Every moan I made made her increase the pressure of her powers on me. My nipples hardened almost painfully and a hot current ran right through me from my clit. I was dripping on the table as my cunt clenched around nothing.
It started to feel like some kind of torture. I was so close, and yet she was keeping me hovering there right at the edge. “Please. Please, Wanda. I need … I need…”
“Yes, Elly?” she asked.
“I need to come,” I wailed.
A jolt shot through me, and just like that, I came, arching hard off the table, and screaming as my orgasm rocked through me, making me gush onto the table. It was the most intense orgasm yet, and for a moment everything went black.
When the world returned, I was panting heavily, completely dazed as I rode out the extreme orgasm high.
“Holy shit, Wanda,” Natasha cursed. “That was impressive.”
“Two more left, El,” Steve said. “You sure you’ve got them in you?”
I nodded slowly. “Think so.”
Someone moved up and skimmed the back of their fingers up the insides of my thighs. It was a Clint trick, but not out of Steve’s playbook. Whoever it was leaned in, ghosting his lips up the insides of my soaked thighs. His fingers moved to my cunt, spreading it with his fingers and running his tongue up my slit. There was no beard, but both Clint and Steve were currently clean-shaven, so that didn’t give it away. I really had no idea who was touching me.
I lifted my feet, put them on his shoulders, and flexed my toes. Whoever it was was broad-shouldered and muscular. That didn’t exactly narrow it down either. And just because Steve was broader than Clint, I chose him.
“Steve?” I asked.
“You sure about that, darlin’?” Bucky asked.
“No… but it’s my guess,” I moaned.
Some of the group started clapping. “Well done, that’s all of you. How about Clint and Steve make you come together, so you only have to do one more?” Sam suggested.
I nodded emphatically. “Please.”
Steve moved forward, the thick head of his cock pressing against my cunt. I raised my hips to meet him, wrapping my legs around his waist and pulling him closer to me. He pulled back just a little and with a snap of his hips, he sunk in deep.
I gasped and arched my back. As I did, Clint moved up beside me on the table and began to flick his tongue over my clit and play with my breast. The table was jostled beside us and Clint grunted and let out a moan.
“Who’s fucking Clint?” I moaned.
“That’d be me, honey,” Sam replied. “You want to see?”
I nodded. “Please.”
The blindfold was taken off as Steve continued to thrust into me. I blinked at the light and looked around, Taking everything in. Steve was between my legs, holding me in place, his brow furrowed as he fucked me. Clint was half propped on the table, bent over me, licking at my clit and that base of Steve’s cock. Sam was behind him, one hand braced on Clint’s shoulder and the other on his hip as he thrust into him, jostling him against me. The others were spaced around the table. Most just watching. Thor was the one holding my hand, though Wanda was bouncing in his lap, her eyes glowing pink.
Everyone else was just kissing and holding each other as they watched Clint and Steve bring on my final orgasm. Seeing them just added to my pleasure, bringing me closer and closer to the edge.
I relaxed back, just letting the pleasure wash over me, It encompassed me completely. But in the end, it wasn’t either Steve or Clint that set my orgasm off, it was Wanda’s orgasm.
She cried out and her powers burst out of her and I was hit by a sudden, intense wave of her pleasure. I came hard, all my muscles clenching at once making me arch violently off the table. I cried out and my vision blacked out for a moment. Wanda’s orgasm must have affected the others too. Steve groaned and gripped my hips hard shoving into me and coming deep inside me. Sam’s hips bucked and his head fell back as his hit too, and Clint suddenly arched like a cat and came in thick ropes onto the table.
I fell back breathing heavily as I rode the waves of my orgasm. Steve hunched over me panting and Clint slithered down and lay there with his head on my stomach.
That’s how we stayed for a while and then Natasha stood. “Okay. How about we clean up here and head downstairs? I think it’s time for a soak in the hot tub.”
Steve sighed contentedly and slipped out of me. He pulled up his pants and then picked me up, cradling me against him. “Good birthday?” he asked.
I hummed, snuggling against his chest and closing his eyes as I murmured my reply. “The best.”

You also see him aloof and angry and dripping with sarcastic hatred, lashing out because it’s his favorite form of self-defense. “Five things you can see?” asks Tony. “That’s for PTSD, not panic attacks,” you say, your voice still shaking. “Congratulations, you’re Avenger, you win them both,” replies Tony, and you choke back a sob, or maybe a laugh. Honestly, it’s probably the same thing. “Better?” asks Tony. You nod, taking a deep breath. “I’m sorry I’m a disappointment to you.”

The Girl Who Cried Wolf

Riley stared at the glowing slits where Stark was staring back at her. They didn’t say anything as she realised how she looked and pushed herself onto her feet. He still had a few feet on her while she was human and he wore his suit – could she call it a suit?
“What?” Stark asks as the face plate of the mask lifts and reveals his raised eyebrow at Riley. “No thank you?”
“You’re late.” Riley states and watches the bewilderment in Stark’s stare and the way he shuffles to look around them.
“Didn’t seem so to me, looked like you were tailed from the main city.” He retorts. Riley huffs and rolls her eyes at the attitude that Stark seemed to be soaked in. But he had a point for about half a second before Riley started to think about it.
“If that were the case then why did they come from the north when the nearest city is much further south west?” Riley hums as she finishes and begins walking in the direction that the two men came from. The whirring from the suit’s movement alerts her of Stark following behind her – but then again so did the exaggerated sigh that he let out before he started following her.
“Where are you going?” Stark asks once he comes in line with Riley as he looks around them.
“To find the mystery crew, what else?” Riley throws back at him – a slight irritation building as she feels her wolf shift in discomfort from the suit distracting them from hearing anything.
“Think you could get out of that for a moment?” Riley snaps and turns to Stark as they come to a halt – well Riley did, Stark sort of tripped over his own feet.
“Look I’ve just got out of a serious relationship, I don’t really plan on sleeping with someone-”
“I don’t care or want to see you naked,” Riley interrupts before Stark can continue rambling. “The noise from your suit is messing with my hearing and right now I need that more than I need your sarcasm buddy.”
It was as though she had asked him to cut off his own hand as for the next five minutes Stark tried to explain why he wouldn’t take the suit off and that they should be leaving under their original orders. He then tried to ask what she meant by her use of hearing when all that was heard for miles was their argument.
“Look, these men obviously came from somewhere and we’re running out of time to find out where.” Riley snaps as she turns back to begin walking again.
“What makes you think that you’ll even find anything out here? Besides Bugs Bunny and Yogi Bear, I don’t think you’ll get much out of these woods.”
Stark grabs Riley by her upper arm and pulls her to face him. A guttural growl leaves Riley as she scowls at Stark, causing his hand to drop from her arm as his face goes slack from its previous tension. Riley takes a few deep breaths through her nose to calm herself, but it were as though the wolf inside her decided now would be a great time to pounce.
Riley turned away from Stark and walked further away as he gawked at her and failed to speak his mind – for once.
*
Tony had taken off the suit and collapsed it back to a brief case before he followed after the woman. The entire time as he took off the suit the only thing he could think of was the way she had switched on him. The way her amber eye seemed to glow brighter and not to mention the growl that reminded him of New York.
It was her.
Fury had sent him to extract an agent from the field in Germany, he never gave him anymore details on it other than to get it done quickly. So Tony had left Bruce to finish their research into more wolf sightings and any trails of the mystery woman who had aided them in their battle in New York and came all the way to Germany. Natasha would be following behind in one of the jets and Tony just had to get the agent to the jet so they could return to base.
But it was her.
Tony hadn’t been able to see her eyes properly once he lifted the face plate, it was pretty dark out. But when her amber eye burned and she growled much like a beast from a horror movie, it all but confirmed it in his mind that this was the woman who saved his life.
And here he was following after her as she crept through the woods towards an unknown location, which could either be full of whoever was after her or could be completely empty.
“So I feel like we got off on the wrong foot,” Tony starts once he was in stride with the woman. She side eyes him before continuing forward with an indifference about her.
“I’m just here on orders, same as you. I’m sure you can understand my urgency to get out of here.” Tony continued but it seemed to fall on deaf ears as the woman pauses and sniffs the air.
“There’s more of them about two hundred metres that way,” she points into the void of the forest before turning to Tony. “I’m going to go ahead, get a layout of their base. You need to contact Fury, tell him I’ve found a base of operations. Then wait for my signal before following.”
Tony frowns as his head draws back at the authoritative tone behind these new orders.
“As much as I’m someone who loves winging it, this plan doesn’t exactly sit well with me.” Tony waves his free hand as he speaks, hoping that it would help him convince this woman of… something. “Let’s just contact Fury and wait for back up.”
“Waiting costs time, which could let them slip away. Whatever information they have could be useful for shield.” The woman retorts and turns back to continue towards where she pointed.
“How will I know your signal?” Tony gives in as he shifts on his feet.
“You’ll hear it.”
*
Riley couldn’t believe the strength of Stark’s scent. Cinnamon had never been a smell that Riley liked but something made her incoherent when it came from him. It also seemed to become more pungent when he was growing just as irritated as her, which tipped her off to his mood.
After she had given him orders to contact Fury and she could hear him speaking over an intercom, she jogged towards the tobacco smell she scented just before. Riley came to halt when she reached what seemed like the perimeter of a base. There were large tents that lingered around with several armed men and women keeping watch or patrolling the perimeter. A man in a lab coat emerged from one of the tents nearer the centre of the camp and began speaking to one of the guards in German.
Riley sniffed the air again and almost sneezed from a dust like scent that made her feel violently sick suddenly. Acids maybe?
There was no way that Riley was going to be able to take on all these guards alone and she couldn’t see into the tents, but she had scented about seventeen more people inside the tents gathered around. It was lucky that she had Stark here too otherwise this would too messy for her.
Riley backed herself behind a tree as a guard began his patrol closer to her on the perimeter. Riley crouched down as the guard walked past, she opened her bag and took one of the guns out of her bag along with the other clips from the other guns. Thankful that she had taken them from the others as she loaded the gun and stuffed her bag behind the tree.
She’d have to use a gun and not her claws – she was still under orders to not reveal other self.
Aiming the gun at the nearest guard, Riley opens fire and begins her assault. The guard fell to the ground and alerted the man next to him. But his body followed after a shot to his back. Riley advanced into the perimeter and continued to shoot the guards in her path.
She hid behind some crates just as an alarm was sounded and several of the guards shouted. So now they were on the offensive and were aware of her presence.
Now was your cue.
Riley looked over the crate and just ducked back in time as a guard opened fire at her. There were ten more guards emerging from tents and all were aiming their fire at her. She popped up from behind the crates and shot two guards before ducking again. The scientists were being evacuated, so Riley needed to hurry. She stood up and fired upon the guards. Riley saw the scientists being led to the military vans on the other side of the clearing. She aimed for the lead guard and shot him before hiding behind a crate.
Riley heard Stark before he flew past her, he must of saw the scientists fleeing too.
There was shouting in German as some of the guards turned their fire onto Stark as he landed and held his palms out towards the remaining guards around the military vans. Something whirred and then a blast was shot from each palm of the suit and knocked the final two guards down. Riley advanced further into the camp towards the vans when a guard shot at her. The bullet penetrated her right thigh and embedded itself in the bone.
Riley crashed down on her left knee and shot the guard that landed his hit on her. Then the burning started and Riley almost howled in pain but she bit down on her lip to keep from screaming. The bullets were silver. Riley was out in the open like a sitting duck, so she dragged herself behind a crate as more gun fire was aimed her way.
Stark hadn’t seen the mess she ended up in, but when he turned as saw her holding her leg he was up in the air again.
Riley shot more guards down as Stark blasted them from the tree line. When the gun fire ceased, Riley dropped her gun and held her leg and applying pressure to cut the bleeding. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she grunted, watching her nails grow into claws. She took several breaths before digging her claws into her thigh to pull the bullet from her bone.
Stark was rounding up the scientists from the camp, keeping his weapons trained on them as they all knelt with their hands behind their heads. He turned and watched as Riley pulled the bloody bullet from her leg; he almost wanted to vomit at the sight. He saw her claws sizzle before she threw the bullet away from her.
So the silver part is true. Now why were these guards using silver?
Riley leant her head back against the crate and closed her eyes. The world taking on a yellow hue a bit too much and she needed to calm herself and assure her wolf that they were okay. She heard the engines of two aircraft's and soon the heavy foot steps through the woods. Opening her eyes just in time to see the red haired woman appear from the treeline followed by several Shield soldiers.
Riley sniffed as she stood back up, leaning more to her left as the wound in her thigh would take some time to heal from the silver burns.
The soldiers surrounded the scientists and began cuffing them. The red haired approached Stark as the face plate lifted from the metal armour. Riley kept her head low as she listened.
“That the agent?” The woman asked.
“Yup. Feisty little thing. Might keep her around.” Stark replies and Riley rolls her eyes at the tone.
“I’ll get medical to prep on the jet for that wound on her leg.”
“Don’t bother,” Riley calls over to them, shocking them both that she was listening. “It’ll be healed within the hour.”
Riley limps over to the pair.
“I’ve left my backpack around the treeline over there, its currently holding the files that Fury wanted. So if one of your guys could collect it and give it to me that’d be grand.” Riley points over to where she originally attacked the base from. The red haired woman signals and orders one of the men to collect Riley’s belongings.
“Natasha Romanoff.” She introduces herself and holds out her hand. Riley curtly shakes it in greeting and then accepts her bag from the soldier to her right.
“If Fury didn’t mention my name then sorry but I’m not one to share.” Riley replies and slightly turns around.
“Which way to the jet?”

“I know that look. Pepper gets the same look. I’ve somehow already managed to piss you off. How could I have already pissed you off?” He followed her and sat on the edge of the coffee table facing her. Sally took a sip from her glass. Dutch courage, she reminded herself.
I am always in awe how you manage to portray his mannerisms so well! The way he just keeps on talking so fast... I miss seeing him on TV

“I agree, but I’m right in the middle of all of this.” Sally gestured to the car, the teardown mostly complete. “Once the car is stripped to the chassis, I’ll have some time.”
“I’ll have JARVIS let me know when you’re done,” Tony nodded. Sally was surprised he would be so amenable to waiting and her eyes narrowed in disbelief. “I don’t like being interrupted when I am in the middle of a project either.” He pushed himself to his feet and stepped toward her. Sally backed up, a wary look on her face. Tony just kept coming forward, until she was backed against the tool bench. He placed a hand on the bench on either side of her, and leaned forward.
“What do you think you’re doing, Stark?” Sally’s voice came out low. He dipped his head to her hair and took a deep breath.
“You smell amazing. Like summertime,” he murmured.
“Summertime?” Sally was trying to slow her racing heart, but the moment he’d stepped into her personal space, it had set something off and she was having a hard time keeping her breathing even.
“Like the ocean. And strawberries? Coconut maybe. And warmth. Does warmth have a scent?” One of his hands left the bench and tugged the elastic out of her hair, holding it up to his face. “Is that your shampoo?”
