This video (specifically the part about body guarding during fights) made me realize how good at battle strategy Steve would be. I’m mostly thinking about how the battle guy jock is like Steve’s dnd nerd persona

Like he’d learn about the weapons shit hanging out and playing ball with Lucas, who we know has an interest in wars and weaponry, and when Lucas uses a hockey metaphor it all clicks for Steve. And suddenly he’s geeking out over the physics of different types of war hammers and fighting the party about battle strategy.
