What are some of your favorite quotes from Bob’s Burgers? Can be a top five, can be from a specific character or episode, can be from the movie, anything you want!
I've been thinking about this for literally days now and I think I finally have some answers lol.
"We are not kissing Jimmy Jr.!"
"Yes we are!"
"Did you know Mom and Dad were a thing??"
"I'm an idiot!"
"I know, Zeke."
"Is that Regular-Sized Rudy or Pocket-Sized Rudy?"
"Regular-Sized Rudy."
"Oh, thank god."
"Look at my pants, they are perfectly tailored~"
"Oh yeah, nice."
"You're the Katniss to my Pita Bread!" (i literally think about this line all the time)
"My friend! That man took my friend!"
"Not really, it's not a kidnapping thing. Keep walking."
"Damn those Type 3 civilizations!"
"Dang, Tina! I must be a whoopie cushion, 'cuz you just knocked the fart outta me!"
"Hey, Tina! I can't wait for the next apocalypse! Get it? Apoca-lips?"
"You two make me feel smart."
"SHOW ME YOUR BUTT!"
i'm sure there are more but that's what i got for now.
special shout out to "stay out of my room!" because i yell that at my cats all the time now lol

The funny thing was it was a shipper that said that about Levi. Like I’m confused do you even like him if you’re saying that?? And to defend their argument they basically said Erwin would have prevented the yeagerists rising up to power, yes. As if Erwin would solve every problem. As if Erwin hasn’t been outmaneuvered before like in the battle to retake Shiganshina. Erwin is incredibly smart but he doesn’t always have all the answers and taking on the rest of the world would be a big task for anyone. But to defend their argument, they’re using a Kamiya Hiroshi interview as proof to why it’s Levi’s fault Paradis became what it did. Since I can’t insert a picture this is word for word what the interview said:
Interviewer: What did you think of Levi’s choice between saving Erwin or Armin in that scene where only one could be saved?
HK: What struck me during the recording was when I was told, “You don’t have to speak to Floch. It’s fine if you just talk to yourself.” Director Mima always said on set, “You have to look at who you’re talking to and think about what happens after you finish your lines (or you’ll die on the battlefield).” There was an option to direct some comforting words to Floch, but they wanted it without that. This direction made me feel that for the first time Levi pushed forward his own feelings, which influenced Floch’s fate and led to a new tragedy. Well, if Erwin had been chosen here, then Eren and Mikasa would have probably ended up in Floch’s position, so either way, it would have likely led to a tragic outcome.
The bolded text is what they highlighted as proof to their argument. The thing is they are completely ignoring the sentence that follows that goes against that. I don’t understand why people take VAs words as canon. I also don’t understand why some people always hold Levi to such a high standard compared to everyone else. And I’m confused why we are thinking that if Erwin lived, Eren would act completely rationally and not enact anything he later did after he lost one of his closest friends…
How about the people responsible for Paradis falling to the Yagerists were Eren and Floch? Because those two are the ones actually responsible. Throw Yelena and Zeke in there for good measure. It has nothing to do with Levi.
And of course, I'm not surprised to find out it's a shipper. I'm assuming it's one of those eruri shippers that love to make Levi look bad in order to hold Erwin up, for whatever reason. Maybe because they can't reconcile the notion that, if Erwin was really with Levi romantically, and he didn't share the truth of his motivations behind his leadership with him, regardless of that romantic connection, it would reflect horribly about Erwin's character. It would mean he kept his greatest secret from the man he supposedly loved, and that he didn't trust Levi enough to share it with him. It would show sociopathic tendencies. But if they can paint Levi as this morally compromised, morally ambiguous character, then they can drag him down to that level and say 'see, they're perfect for each other', or some shit. They can pretend that Erwin's withholding of that information from Levi wasn't horrific because Levi didn't care anyway and would have followed Erwin to the ends of the earth, and blah, blah, blah. The problem for them is, Levi DID care. He cared a whole hell of a lot. He cared so much that it nearly destroyed his relationship with Erwin, before he was able to push his disappointment and doubt aside and continue to trust in Erwin, despite his flaws, not because of them. He knew, despite Erwin's human frailties, he was still a good man, deep down, who wanted to do the right thing. He just needed a little help to get there.
Levi wasn't responsible for Floch becoming what he did. The circumstances Paradis was pushed into, through Marley's actions, is what led to Floch's true nature coming out, and, as I said before, Floch's own actions and weakness of mind. To blame Levi for that on any level is absurd. You might as well blame Levi too for Eren becoming what he did because 'oh no, Levi told him to make the choice he'd least regret', or he told him in Shinganshina that it wouldn't be over until their enemies were dead (meaning Reiner and Bertolt). How about we blame Levi too for the Rumbling, because Zeke blew him up and was able to meet Eren and make contact with him? Give me a fucking break. Eren became what he did because that's what he always was. The same for Floch. I don't care what Levi's voice actor, or any other voice actor, has to say. What I care about is the text, what Isayama wrote and what his panels conveyed. Floch was always going to become radical, again, because he was weak of mind and spirit. He was a bad person, in his heart. Someone prone to extremism. A coward and a fool and bloodthristy.
The moment he wasn't killed in the charge against the Beast Titan, we saw the vengeful core of Floch, when he found Erwin, dying on the field, and dragged him up onto the roof, wanting to punish him for leading them into a death charge by forcing him to continue to live and lead. He wanted to make Erwin suffer, just for doing his job, and for leading the rest of the scouts that day to do theirs, something they had willingly signed up for. That tells you all you need to know about what kind of person Floch was. He was cruel and ugly.
And we see that cruelty and ugliness all the more clearly in contrast to Levi's compassion and kindness, in wanting to put an end to Erwin's suffering. The two of them are juxtaposed against one another for this reason.
Levi puts compassion over ideology, and Floch puts ideology over compassion. That has everything to do with who they already were, not with what either of them did or the circumstances surrounding it.
This idea that Levi not offering words of comfort to Floch is what led to him becoming the massive piece of shit that he did is such a joke. No, Floch was already that, long before Levi ever made his choice. Floch joined the scouts only after he thought the hopeless nature of their mission had been overcome and there was only glory to be found, and his anger and resentment and hatred came to the fore when he realized that wasn't the case, that he wouldn't be able to reap all the rewards of being a soldier in the most dangerous branch of the military while remaining safe and unthreatened.
Everybody loves to blame someone else for the way things turned out or the radical, bad actions certain characters took in AoT, but ultimately, every character is responsible for their own actions. Nobody is responsible for what Eren did but Eren himself. Nobody is responsible for what Zeke did but Zeke himself. Nobody is responsible for what Floch did but Floch himself. The circumstances and environment may have put them in a position to act out their true desires and natures, but the circumstances and environment didn't put those desires or nature in them. That's just who they always were. That's true about every, single character in AoT.
These idiot shippers love to use these meaningless interviews by voice actors as "evidence" that their ship is real, or that their interpretation of the text is right. But the voice actors are only interpreting the text themselves, with their own, biased view influencing that interpretation. It doesn't mean anything. It has no bearing on objective reality. It's just a personal reading. The scene where Levi tells Floch that Erwin deserves to rest, and Kamiya being directed to have Levi talking to himself instead of "comforting" Floch, that in itself is a personal interpretation by the director of the text. It's not objectively true to the text itself. And even if it was, it still wouldn't serve as proof that that was the moment Floch became radicalized. Again, Floch was always going to become radicalized, because he was always a shitter.
The only thing that would have stopped Floch from becoming radicalized that day is if Floch had died with the rest of the scouts that charged the Beast Titan. It's too bad his joke ass didn't.
And finally, Erwin couldn't have stopped the Yeagerists from taking over Paradis. There's nothing he could have done to change the course of events. Floch wanted Erwin to suffer. He thought Erwin would be the "monster" they needed in order to "win" against the enemy. But what would Floch's reaction have been had Erwin not become that heartless monster he wanted, willing to stamp out all of humanity for the sake of one island? Either Erwin would have been willing to do what Eren did, or he wouldn't. He either would have become extreme and led Paradis down a path of militarization and nationalism, or he wouldn't. And if he wouldn't, Floch would have turned elsewhere, because that's what Floch was gunning for, long before Levi ever made his choice. And we know, already, that Erwin never would have supported such a course of action. And so Floch would have, like he did in canon events, turned to Eren and helped facilitate his plans. He would have believed Erwin was no longer what he wanted or needed. Erwin wasn't a monster. Eren was. Beyond that, if anyone tries to argue that Erwin's skill as a negotiator and politician would have allowed the Survey Corps to convince Marley to stand down, no, because Eren didn't allow the Survey Corps to even try. He disappeared before the scouts could even attempt negotiations. Erwin being there wouldn't have changed any of that. It all would have played out exactly the same way.
Anyway, the entire claim is a joke. Some Erwin stans are massive assholes who can't admit that Levi was a morally superior person to him. But he was and he is. Levi, ironically, encapsulated what the Survey Corps was meant to stand for more than Erwin ever could. That's why Erwin entrusted Levi with making the decision, ultimately. Because he knew Levi would do the right thing, even as he himself couldn't, and he was grateful to Levi for that, because he wanted to do the right thing. Like I said, Erwin wasn't a bad man. He was just flawed.
Floch was a bad man. He was weak, and just like Zeke, just like Eren, just like Yelena, that weakness is what allowed all those bad qualities in them to take control and dictate their actions.
They have no one to blame but themselves, let alone a truly good man like Levi.

My question is how would you write out an AU where Eren and Mikasa do that running off thing and the rest of the Paradisians just have to deal with it? I'm curious.
Hi, Al!
So I don't think I'd ever write this AU because, as @melimpostor pointed out, it could turn extremely angsty for my faves (and as much as I love angst, I draw the line at major character death). Also, you're asking me to plot, the thing I'm notoriously bad at, but here are some points for consideration:
Zeke would be a key character in this scenario.
Zeke's antinatalist plan would be completely ruined without Eren. Now, that's important because Zeke is the one who convinces the Marleyan army to expedite the Paradise invasion and he's also the figurehead behind Yelena's faction. We don't know how Zeke would act in the case of Eren's disappearance, but my best guesses are a) try to track down Eren for the rest of his life or b) lie down and rot in a pile of self-misery (this, I base on his attitude towards Armin in the paths). In either case, I believe this could buy the Paradisians a little more time.
The Yeagerists would be left without a leader.
Another major player in the events of season 4, the Yeagerists wouldn't have Eren to rely on any longer. I believe that would be a major blow to morale and that they would have trouble gaining the public's favor without the power of the Founder backing them. Personally, I believe they would lose many supporters over this. Now, their best play would be to flock to the next most powerful titan holder, who would be Armin, but... (and yes I used flock as a pun) their current leader is Floch, who hates Armin's guts, so I'm guessing they'll either disband or do something else extreme in an attempt to destabilize Paradis.
Armin and Historia would now have a lot more political sway.
Armin because, as I said earlier, he's now Paradis' only titan shifter and Historia because of her royal blood. I imagine there would be calls among the Paradisians to find Eren and feed him to Historia to return the Founder to the royal family (or perhaps they'd try to capture another Intelligent Titan entirely). Also, with Eren out of the picture, I don't think Historia would move forward with the baby making plan. Yes, she was probably already pregnant before Eren left the island, but I believe she'd figure her people need her to be more involved and ummm let's say I think she'd abort that thang.
The Survey Corps could continue their negotiation/diplomatic/intelligence gathering efforts.
Again, Eren's little expedition in Marley wouldn't have happened, which would mean that the SC wouldn't have their hands tied by him and they would be able to continue their peace-seeking attempts. There have to be world powers other than Marley. Maybe they'd try to strike a deal with them. We know the Paradisians have developed special anti-titan weapons and titans are what make Marley undefeatable. And if said anti-titan weapons run on the gas that is a natural resource to Paradis? Even better.
Or they could try to approach the rest of the titan holders lineup for potential allies. After all, that's how Marley defeated the Eldians (as far as the public knows).
The Tyburs would also be a concern, but frankly my head hurts already without considering them as well.
All in all, I believe that Paradis could potentially buy itself a few more years of peace, at least until Eren's term ended. Then the whole world would scramble to locate the new holder of the Founder.

That might be an unpopular opinion (idk) because of the narrative framing but frankly in UnOrdinary, the school hierarchy actually makes a lot of sense.
You're in a world where, at the minimum, 99% of the people have a power of some sort. While most of them have mundane powers (see Evie's flashlight, Isen's tracking ability, or what's-her-name from the beginning who could grow her hair at will and make it take shapes) or powers that are not too dangerous for their peers (Arlo's barrier, that girl who could see a few seconds into the future, Darren's "shadow" or the security guard who could sense people walking into his area), there are also extremely destructive powers.
There are kids who can become invisible (with all the abuse it can generate), there are kids who can shoot energy beams that can break walls, there are kids who can generate enough electricity to kill someone, there are kids who can freeze time and do whatever they want... there are also kids who are just stronger than everyone else or faster (Heinz, Zeke...) and there's a lot of potential for bullies to misuse their powers.
Heck, even for non bullies, a kid who has anger issues and the "right" powers could easily destroy a room or injure other kids. Sure, the answer to anger issues isn't to beat the guy into compliance to the rules.
But the hierarchy's goal, at the beginning, isn't to beat the weaker people. The hierarchy (the school one, with it's King Queen Jack system)'s goal is to have three kids, the most powerful of the school, make sure that the weaker (but still powerful) kids will stay in line and reduce bullying.
I wrote another essay about it for a video game which wasn't the point but basically in a school were the pupils might be more powerful than the teachers, be it because it's an "elite" school with middle class teachers for royalty and billionaire kids, or a "magic" school in which the teachers' magical level might be inferior to that of the kids (as in, not a school where you learn magic, but one where magical beings go) it makes sense that the kids would be supposed to regulate themselves without needing an adult to step in, since adults wouldn't be able to do much, particularly in case of fight.
So put kids in charge of it. Why?
Because telling the three most powerful kids "if you keep the rest in check, you'll get an extra credit" (or something) means also neutralizing said three kids, with promises and threats, so they are not going to be the ones wrecking havoc.
Because it teaches responsabilities to the most powerful kids. They're the ones most likely to get in trouble later for their powers, or to have great responsabilities, for example in politics, the army, or jobs where their powers might be the reason they stay alive. If they learn as soon as middle school to be the voice of reason, it might create a better society, with elite kids being taught to be aware of bullying and avoid it, future soldiers and cops taught not to abuse their power, etc
Because telling the middle level kids "hey, the faculty won't do anything for you if the higher levels decide to beat you up as punishment for bullying weaker kids" might actually work (in a fucked up way) in making them stay in line and not bully the weakest.
Basically, if the hierarchy worked the way it was supposed to be (aka not the way Arlo made it work because he tried to over-correct what Rei had messed up when he had been king) it would be the most efficient way to teach kids responsabilities, to keep the would-be bullies in line, and to protect the teachers since physical fights would be left to break to powerful kids instead of weak teachers.
The only reason it doesn't work is because UnOrdinary's society is decadent and slowly crumbling down, the hierarchy is seen as a tool of oppression even by the people who participate in it (although they see that as "yes! we can oppress people!") instead of regulation, and the government is corrupt, as well as basically every authority figure.

What I think they’d smell like in MODERN AU
Levi
he smells like those really strong essence oils, only if you go really close can you smell it (I'm talking kissing his hand close)
To be very specific, I'm talking about tea tree essence oil. It's like an antibacterial scent in a way
Eren
Absolutely nothingness. I feel like when he walks past people he does it so fast and swift it leaves a waft of his scent behind... except he smells like nothing so he's just giving you a free wave of air 😭😭😭
But as a bonus, he'd smell like his aloe Vera shampoo for the first hour (after showering) and then the smell fades away... again, into nothingness
Bertholdt
I'm convinced Berty-boo smells something like an old ladies makeup pallet. Those really old peach flavoured powders, or just scented moisturiser for women. It's not a girly smell, it's a powdery smell… sort of motherly (he smells motherly!?)
No one knows why he smells that way really. They don't really point it out because it isn't strong.
But if you hugged him so tight that you buried your face in the fabric of his clothes, you'd get a nostril-full of makeup scents
Reiner
Oh yes you know it, he smells like a big baby. He doesn't even know it, he's amused as you one day rub yourself against the soft sleeve of his sweater and mumble something along the lines of "you smell nice"
this IS VERY specific. But fairy detergent pods is exactly what he smells like.
a warm but soft and squeezable scent that he has no idea he carries but melts when you subconsciously cuddle up to it.
Jean
Jean changes his perfume every week you can't catch onto what he smells like. One week it's Hugo boss, the other it's Dior sauvage, and other fuckboy perfumes. At some point, if you sniff out any masculine scent, you know it’s him, because he's worn every bottle in this bloody world.
Armin
He smells like the original dove soap bar. You can tell he's incredibly clean not just by the waft of soap that fans pleasantly against your face, but through the silkiness of his blonde locks that expose how well he takes care of himself.
Erwin
Looking at Erwin, I can tell he doesn't give a shit 😭😭😭 straight up, he showers puts deodorant on and gets on with his day, it's not like this doesn't leave a scent though, through out his day, he spends it locked up in the office or taking a walk in meadows to clear his mind.
When he comes back to you, most of what you smell on him is the outdoors (cut grass- ish breezey smell) and pages of dusty books.
Zeke
As a Zeke Stan, I'm sorry to my fellow brothers and sisters, but my guy smells of nothing but tobacco, it overpowers any perfume he uses. He reeks of pure depression and cigarettes. Someone hug this man and throw him in a bath PLEASE
Porco
People usually shower everyday because its hygienic but Porco does it because he messes himself up badly throughout his own day. Hell- sometimes he has to shower twice a day.
This mostly comes down to the fact he's messy and clumsy. During lunch, he'll drop a bit of jam on himself, try to swipe it away but it merges through the loops of fabric and stick to the skin of his chest.
Or when he's cleaning, he'll forget that a bucket with dirty water is behind him and fall on top of it, soaking him in muddy water.
i made this way too long... but, this is my headcannon, he smells like fresh bread.
Hange
She either smells like mud, pure sweat, hair grease or all the above.
(When Levi knocks her out to clean her he uses scent less soap so the issue here is that the smell sometimes still lingers even after she washes.
Pieck
Pieck bakes a lot to free her mind from worries, most of what she likes to bake is cookies, pies or brownies. So for the most part, she mostly smells of soap and a bakery.
Mikasa
You guys can call Mikasa manly all you want, but she defiantly uses cocoa butter to moisturise her body after a burning hot shower.
light Cocoa butter and coconut, there's no other thing I can think of.
Miche
The most distinguished smell you can get out of him is his clothes, which barely smell of anything anyway. It's a mystery as to how someone can lack any scent whatsoever.
Sasha
Barbecue sauce and brown sugar
Annie
Her and Armin are soap scent buddies, she smells of a foamy bubble bath.

SLYTHERIN! ERWIN ★ masterlist.
part of the “hogwarts” series  ੈ♡‧₊˚ my favourite blonde haired man <33
Tumblr media
born into an unpredictable line of half blood wizards, erwin was expecting to be a squib or a normal muggle until his magic manifested in the worst way possible when he was around 7
i think he's always had a very straightforward and headstrong mindset about him that caused a lot of problems growing up
to the point where the idea of going to Hogwarts ended up being the most exciting thing to happen to him after his dad died
(coincidentally around the same time as his magic manifesting)
his dad was a wizard and he'd gone to Hogwarts when he was younger — his dad had been in Ravenclaw, which is what erwin was aiming for until the hat persuaded him against it, charming him towards the sea of green
the choice the hat made to put erwin in Slytherin was met with head scratches and puzzled sounds; those in Slytherin always feel like erwin's a little out of place (even though they all love him)
but as he gets older, they start to see just what on earth the hat saw going on in erwin's head and quickly understand why he's donning Slytherin robes and no other house
he's definitely a team player — not so much a quidditch player as he is a fan of it, he likes to go to the games when he can, but he's a mean competitor in chess (always beats zeke) and absolutely rules the debate club
although he can look a bit unapproachable, i think a lot of Slytherins love erwin because of how to-the-point he is
he's very no nonsense
if you want help with your homework, of course he'll try, but it can't be a regular thing because he's just got other things taking precedence
what? a GRYFFINDOR was picking on you? embarrassing that you'd let it happen, learn to fight your own battles next time, but okay he'll come help you just to make the point extra clear that if you mess with a Slytherin, you mess with ALL Slytherins
definitely an owl guy
has the cutest owl ever who he loves more than most people, though she's terrible at aiming his post in the morning
he's also very punctual — attends all his classes, engages in the work, does his assignments, never hands anything in late
but he's also a little bit selfish
he likes to do things if he knows he can gain something out of it, he's not exactly selfless enough to be a role-model for free
if his homework is stupid, he will put in the minimal amount of effort to make a point
yes, the Slytherins like him, but that doesn't mean he has to necessarily be their best friend
he's kind of like zeke in the way that he looks a looooot older than his peers which helps lend a hand to getting what he wants and/or getting other advantages
if harry hadn't have made the DA then erwin might have, though
he's not zeke's biggest supporter but erwin has to hand it to zeke for being the biggest menace next to fred and george — and erwin's more than happy helping cover up whatever mess zeke makes for the sake of house loyalty
most of Slytherin's house points are gained by erwin
always knows how to break into locked rooms, like he's just so good at getting himself in places he shouldn't be
it's been his lifelong mission to explore the lower level of the library in the restricted section but that one ghost has been pissing him off
and he's desperate to figure out a way to get rid of peeves forever
erwin hates that mf
has an albatross patronus; he never gives up on his goals and if he's hit with an obstacle, he will pursue it relentlessly until it is no longer a problem for him
his favourite sweets on the trolley are licorice swans, and he has personal beef with chocolate frogs and has never gotten around to eating one cause they always bounce off
definitely has lots of friends who are not in Slytherin; in fact, almost all of his closest friends are in other houses, and it's strictly because he lives with these Slytherins and doesnt trust them one bit
he's seen how these bitches live
and erwin really wants to be an auror after Hogwarts is over <33
and what pookie wants pookie shall get

what do you think is the likelihood of jetneymadlyn becoming endgame/canon?? I feel like jetney is 90% since the actors have been teasing it a lot and madlyn 50/60% since I haven’t seen too much talk about them but julia did say s4 gets more gayer so who knows 🤷‍♀️ it just would be dumb for tim to tease them at the end of s3 and not follow through.
I love that you asked me this!! I’ve been thinking about this so much. Of COURSE I would be super happy if we got both as endgames but I could also see it not happening/not happening in the way we think.
My prediction on Jetney is we get them as an endgame but it’s more subtle. Like we see them flirt and have cute moments, and we might have a scene or two where they hold hands or Kourtney kisses Jet’s cheek. Again, subtle but enough to let us know they’re paired.
(I REALLY think they’re going to parallel Zeke and Sharpay and if you remember we knew they were together/endgame but it wasn’t super over-the-top. We got Zeke simping and the scene in hsm2 where they hold hands before letting go of the lanterns. We know they’re together because of the cookie scene in hsm1. Jetney makes sense to me being more like that, but I think it’ll still be VERY cute).
Madlyn is such a 50/50 to me. Tbh at first I thought Ashlyn was going to end up with red, but now it feels like a very slim chance they’ll be together. What I see happening is Ashlyn breaking up with red to keep figuring herself out/explore her sexuality. Maddox takes this as Ashlyn wants to be with her. Ashlyn rejects her and we get a lot of awkward/pining throughout the season. Then in the last episode we get a small hint they “could” end up together. Like maybe Maddox says she’s going back to Cali and Ashlyn is like “call me when you get there” with a cute wink and a hand hold. I just see the show leaning into Ashlyn’s girlboss/female power/discovering her queerness story line and not totally letting romance overshadow that this season. Leaving an open end to her arc really highlights that “self-empowering” aspect Ashlyn has always kind of carried throughout the show and most likely will s4.
(Yes, Kourtney also has this trope throughout the show, but it’s pushed in a different way than Ashlyn’s. I think Kourtney will embrace her self-love more by figuring out what college she wants to go to, rather than through romance [figuring out her sexual identity] like Ashlyn).
I mean, you’re right about how the actors/Tim have teased everything. Those storylines WILL get address. But we were also told we might not love everything our “faves” do. I could see this statement standing with my Madlyn prediction.

TI PENSO (idk if that’s how its spelled ANYWAYS-) NEW STUFF WHEN BECAUSE IM IN LOVE WITH THAT EREN AND NEED HIMBSKAMDMMSDASMOWMDMDMD
Can u give us random THAT eren headcannons or a drabble or like ANYTHING PSLOLSPLSLSPSLSLSPSL😩😩😩😩😩😩🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
.....hello there.
i always (and i mean always) have thoughts on ti penso eren. like. ALWAYS. so yes i can thank you for asking!!!!!!!!!!! dropping ti penso eren lore and headcanons for you here
has a very weird relationship with zeke. like, they're somewhat close in ti penso (esp before eren moves to the city!), but they're very different at a deep level so they butt heads 24/7
BLOWS MONEY. like thank god he makes a lot, bc he will spend money like he's getting paid to do it
star wars nerd, considers anakin his personal jesus christ, will ramble about the lore if prompted
night owl. all that jet lag catches up to him, and you can often find him on the couch at 3am catching up on emails. he always leaves the room bc he doesn't want to wake you :(
SPONTANEOUS!!!!!! books a surprise trip to paris for your birthday, will randomly sign you both up for kickboxing lessons, you come home to find an interior designer measuring your living room wall bc he's decided to pick up a 10ftx15ft painting?????
loves the city, will probably never live anywhere else
bundles your little ones up in the dead of winter and makes you stand in line for three hours to go ice skate at rockefeller center like tourists every year
this is so specific, but even when you were young, he's always hated going out on new years. his favorite way to spend new years is snuggled up on the couch, two flutes of nice champagne, and cheersing as the ball drops
when you have kids, he gets them little flutes of sparkling apple cider and they scream and cheer and kiss you both on your cheeks and go EWWWWW when you and eren kiss they're so cute
you definitely have two kids!! one girl, one boy :)
the wedding....i can't even get started. it's like, the wedding of the century. eren stays pretty out of the spotlight generally speaking, but everything you two plan catches media attention, and the wedding gets a vogue spread and vanity fair interviews and it is...just a hooplah
OKAY SORRY. if anyone wants to know literally anything about ti penso eren or specifically their wedding i have lots of information to share lol all you have to do is ask!!!!
thank you nonny <333 i hope you enjoy!

thoughts on simulacra stories, change in mc's lore and aesperia's main story skip
Tumblr media
im late on this one probably (and this is more of a ramble) but i created a new acc yesterday and said a lot of wtfs to the changes made in the first part of aesperia's mq (im currently otw to banges).
i mean i did like that shirli accompanied us from the start of waking up till the end of exploring the ruins cuz' 1. more shirli time helps establish a bond between her and mc, 2. zekes initial reaction to shirli disobeying fits in the scene better now
tbh i did miss the part where we fly up the sky and shoot a plane/skyship(?) down during the assault cuz i thought that was cool, and i liked it better when franz didnt straight up say zeke is connected to the heirs and he didnt almost spill what time retracement was all about- LIKE, FRANZ SHOULDVE STAYED AS A DISCRETE/SECRETIVE CHARACTER WHO KNOWS MORE THAN WHAT HE LETS ON
and i think it disrupts mc's lore a bit cuz in the old version we had gone through our first time retracement there in hykros and have realized with the second one in claire's quest that mc is currently the only one in the game who isnt affected by time retracement/remembers the past timelines, (mc's connection to time retracement is important i feel) pointing out the motifs here
i also noticed that they added more emphasis on the mystery of mc's identity with shirli continously questioning it and franz (and elric probably) having his suspicions(?) i like that they changed "mc being part of district 9" to "mc being part of an unknown district but will work with district 9 for now"
defintely making a seperate post to ramble about mc's lore more
i started spewing extra wtfs in the events afterwards, CUZ SERIOUSLY WHAT. it felt like i got hit with a pan after that dialogue with franz about uploading the memories 😭 then all of a sudden im going to vera, LIKE WHAT IN THE AIDA IS GOING ON.
i did realize eventually that the story was skipped for some reason, so i watched a vid the next day to get it cleared up. this change was terrible really 😭 maybe convinient for some older players (who like me, intended to get things done quick upon creating a new acc) but not for newcomers, cuz it ruins the flow of the story and the surprise of entering new places gradually.
its a better experience to slowly connect with characters as the journey progresses instead of suddenly meeting a bunch of em in the middle of the desert like "am i suppose to know who you are already??"
(ALSO THEY REMOVED COBALT B FROM THE START AND FRANZ GAVE US THE VEHICLE INSTEAD NOOO. this contradicts her simulacra side story, as it was emphasized there that they had met before and we meet her again in mirroria)
speaking of which, i feel that the simulacra stories shouldve been integrated into the main story instead of it being on the side for players to come back later (ig i just enjoy lining up the plot in order instead of it being out of sequence)
yes i understand that the mq would take longer if they did that BUT THE FUTURE INTERACTIONS WITH CHARACTERS WOULD MAKE MORE SENSE/FEEL NATURAL
like something twitches in my brain when i think about how much i love the reunion of shirli and zeke but realize its a side story LIKE WHY. THE REASON MC ACCOMPANIED SHIRLI ON THIS TRIP WAS CUZ THEY NEEDED TO FIND THIS MAN AND DRAG HIS ASS BACK TO ASTRA AND YOURE TELLING ME ITS A MF SIDE STORY 😭 I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE POINT OF THE PLOT.
also is it just me or the simulacra stories have better "atmosphere/mood" than the mq? like i love the camera shots and angles during dialouge sequences and cutscenes, and mc seems to have more reactions/personality? i need more of them 😔💚 and i will continue to ramble on a different post.

進撃の巨人// AoT Review:
Tumblr media
Yes, took me awhile to finally dive into this cult fav. Finally did and I just have a lot to say so here’s a critical review that no one asked for.
“過去に囚われ、未来に誘導され”
ようこそ、残酷な希望なき世界へ。
Shingeki no Kyojin isn't afraid to get dark. It’s a brutal world where the lines between good and evil are constantly blurred. That's why I have to give credit to Hajime-sensei for tackling such mature themes. The exploration of the sins of the past and their impact on the present is undeniably powerful. The concept of self-punishment and generational burden in an enclosed world setting, while perhaps under-developed, draws a critical parallel to real-world historical cycles of violence.
But here's where the narrative falters for me: AoT focus on Eren narrows the scope of the story. We never truly see the world through other characters' eyes. The series elevates Titans to a near-mythological status solely based on bloodlines, neglecting the potential for a more nuanced exploration of political conflict. Imagine delving into the motivations and societal structures of Marley, or witnessing a more potent internal struggles for power within Paradis' government. It had potential but focusing on Eren essentially shuts this exploration.
What truly frustrates me is Eren's character development.
Eren Yeager's descent into villainy, while undeniably dramatic, felt like a missed opportunity. His motivations as an "angsty teen with future memories" lacked nuance, and his solution – the Rumbling – was a self-justified descent into violence. The world of AoT is meticulously crafted, rife with complex political machinations. Surely, with the power of the Founding Titan, Eren could have explored more strategic, (and to stick with dark fantasy theme) anti-heroic options. Negotiations, leveraging Paradis' hidden tech, or even the ethically dubious path of Zeke's euthanasia plan – all presented potentially more interesting narratives than the world-ending Rumbling. Perhaps, I was just… frustrated by the narrowness of everyone’s mind, each one a slave to their own problems.
Eren's journey, while tragic, felt like a downer ending to a series brimming with potential. The story does an excellent job of making you uncomfortable and angry, which is a testament to Isayama's storytelling. The setting, the world-making, and the themes are all incredible. But for me, the series falters by failing to break the cycle of violence through its protagonist. Letting the fans think is great, but with Eren's arc, there's a lingering sense of hopelessness that just doesn't resonate with me personally. Accepting the extreme choices that Eren made, that the Yaegerists fell into, and all the darkness and misery feels like a validation I refuse to give to real-life bad decisions made under the pressure of やむを得ない//“there’s no better way”.
Eren's character arc feels like a self-directed (自作自演) tragedy. His motivations are heavily influenced by his own premonitions, which limits his agency and makes him a pawn of his own fate. This deterministic approach to character development, while thought-provoking, ultimately feels unsatisfying.
Tumblr media
Anyways, my opinion is my own and I admit that AoT successfully made me a critical fan and I appreciate the experience but as an avid, veteran anime-watcher, I just find it hard to fall in love with the series because I just can’t vibe with the characters 🥴🔫

Can't wait to see Zeke's smugness crash and burn when Eren brings lil bb Timothy over all decked out in his teensy Adidas kitten sweater. And he actually has the NERVE to be like "of course he's a cat, what did you think I meant?🤨"
Context —>: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 5
😭😭
And what’s even worse is that eren genuinely doesnt believe everyone thought it was a real kid. like in his head there is absolutely no way anyone could have thought he meant an actual REAL baby 😭😭 now he thinks they’re playing a prank on him because he’s so confused how no one clocked on
“What the fuck?” Bellowed Zeke.
Eren looks at his suddeny-turnt-panel-board family all looking up at him from the couch, their expressions entirely different than to what he thought they would in seeing Timothy.
Tentatively, he adjusts the see-through bubble backpack he currently sported on his chest. Currently, Timothy Chalameow was asleep.
“What?” Eren addressed towards his brother, concerning he was the only one who had spoken first in the last five minutes.
Wagging his finger towards his backpack, Zeke had on a crazy expression.
“You’re telling me this is the Timothy you’ve been talking about? Your child?”
The frown lines that poked at Eren’s head came back to haunt him. He wasn’t understanding what was going on, especially with how fed up his parents looked. Carla’s face was buried in her hands and Grisha couldn’t look him in the eyes.
“Yeah? I told you this.” Eren took the backpack off and set it on the ground. “Why are you so surprised?”
Zeke got up in sudden shock before standing over his currently crouched brother.
“No. No, Eren, No. No, you told me, you told all of us, that you had a child. A fucking baby. You never mentioned it was a kitten you plucked off the street.”
Now protectively holding Timothy in his arms, Eren had on a defensive face as he aimlessly scratched just behind his baby’s neck. He would have gone for his head but he didn’t want to take off his Etsy custom made wooly hat.
“Well, he is my child. I call him my baby, yeah but surely you didn’t think I was talking about a human baby?”
At that, both Carla and Grisha let out a joint sigh and Zeke agitatingly rubbed at his face but Eren was still confused on why his family could even presume he was talking about an actual kid.
“Yes. Yes, we did think you were talking about a human baby Eren because you talked about it exactly like one.” Zeke said as he turned around to pace the room.
“You even dress it like one.” Grisha mumbled. He was relieved it wasn’t an actual child yet so confused why this cat wore an adidas sock and sported socks on it’s feet.
Standing up with Timothy in his arms, Eren looked between his family with his face written in perplexity.
“Okay, now I’m confused. If you lot really did think it was a baby, why are you not relieved? It seems like you’re more disappointed at the fact that it’s not a real life baby.”
“I dunno, Eren. It just… it didn’t seem unlike something you’d do. Sorry.”
Getting up and excusing himself from the room, Grisha gingerly delivered those words. He gave Timothy one sideways glance before shaking his head and making his way out.
Eren looked towards his mother who had her mouth covered with her hand, her eyes widely blown as she looked away from Eren and Timothy. With a sigh, Eren rolled his eyes before quickly planting a kiss on Timothy’s head. The kitten only yawned in response.
“I can’t believe you people thought it was a real human baby. Damn, like you think so lowly of me.” He says obnoxiously.

I agree with everything you said, but I also want to add that not only was Levi instrumental during the final battle, but also all the way up to it. I often see people complain that he was sidelined after RtS, but I think it seems that way because he didn't get as much screen time as before. But even with so few scenes with him post RtS, it's clear that he keeps carrying out his duties like he always did. And considering their situation, he has even more responsibilities than ever before. He clearly was on the front lines when they were ridding the island of titans. He was there when they got to the ocean. He was capturing Marleyan ships and dealing with the captives. He was overlooking technological advancements along with Hange. Participating in military meetings. Negotiating with Hizuru. He infiltrated Marley with hopes of finding common ground with their enemy, etc. And it's not like he didn't care about any of it; he was clearly curious about the world himself, and very much invested in everything that was going on.
None of this has anything to do with Zeke and his promise to Erwin. So I don't know why people cling to Yams' words from an old-ass interview so much, but ignore his own manga wherein Levi is anything but an aimlessly dangling balloon. It seems like they think Levi comes in a set with Erwin, and nothing he does without Erwin is worth anything. They just want him to be a mourning 'widower'
Excellent points all around, and thank you for your contribution! you're 100% right. Levi did plenty and was important and instrumental and present for all the situations you've listed, so I really can't even think of anything else to add, haha.
People are ridiculous, the way they hyper-fixate on some random quote from Isayama which I promise he himself didn't even put that much thought into. You get asked questions on the spot, and you just come up with whatever answer pops into your head. At that point in the story, I doubt Isayama really knew where ANY of the characters were going or what he wanted to accomplish with them outside of the main trio. He had the ending in mind for Eren, Mikasa and Armin, but for Levi and Hange and the rest, he's even said recently he didn't know what would become of them. So his answer was really more a statement, it seems to me, on his own uncertainty as to where to take certain characters at that point than the characters themselves. As you said, Levi ended up doing a LOT. There was very little actions following RtS, until the attack on Liberio, and of course, Levi is primarily an action character. Someone who gets things done physically. So we just didn't see him as much because there wasn't any action going on. But yes, like you said, and laid out so well, he was vital in negotiations, in taking care of the prisoners from the scouting ships, in going to Marley to see if peace could be attained, etc, etc... People just have a bug up their ass about Levi and wanting to pull any bullshit notion out of thin air to try and make him look bad as a character. It's pathetic.

Saw the first part of the AoT finale.
And this once again just hit at the right time for me personally.
It's not just about 'oh protect the kids' 'oh Eren is the poor victim bby'.
Eren is a victim AND perpetrator. He literally tells you this.
I'm currently feeling that sentiment of 'take responsibility you stupid fucks' very deeply.
But to start somewhere, I think the strongest part of this portion of the story to me is absolutely the character writing.
Eren is horrified at his own thoughts and what he felt in the future. (In fact the reason why he is stuck in his head are at least partially his own destructive feelings from the future. He's interesting because he has feelings. His future self wanted this while his current self is sitting there horrified and crying.)
Him not being free is absolutely the right read. It's simply about not being able to see past his feelings – his state of mind. Which is absolutely influenced by several factors as well like OG Ymir's feelings, his knowledge of the future outside of his feelings and his father's memories.
But he's also genociding people. And getting out of that prison is only possible if he is willing to engage with other perspectives. It's all this sort of a greek tragedy loop where his own dark thoughts amplify everything else and the other elements amplify his dark thoughts.
And because he values freedom so much, he could never actually restrain anyone from fighting back.
It's these character elements that determine the narrative direction. The story at this point is deeply character-centric.
Yet despite all seeming lost, his opponents feel it's worth to keep fighting for those who yet live. They can't take back what happened, but they can try to move forward in the circumstances they are in. I think this sentiment is so deeply important going into the finale.
Hange's decision is all about this position of responsibility she was pushed into following Erwin's death, too.
She values the pursuit of knowledge, so she picks Armin as the commander.
I really like her response to Yelena because she's basically talking past her. She admits she failed with Eren, but she never says Zeke is right.
In line of with this moment with Hange, I think a lot of this has very specific emotional nuances and I find that really important.
Yes, Eren's friends are begging with him in Paths, but I also think it's not just because they just love him so very much.
They are also desparate to throw everything at him because he's kind of destroying the world and killing humanity.
So any reason is okay as long as it gets through to him.
Just like that speech by the old guy is equal parts military speech, emotional desparation and thematic statement.
I could logically and clinically tell you that someone else could've technically replaced Hange or maybe Hange held on too long to the point of it being too much.
Or how Annie just could've pieced herself together and gone with them.
But to me it at least all makes sense from the character perspective.
I think it makes sense Hange went instead of Armin or Reiner or even Jean not just because she felt responsible and all Titans are needed, but also because she is also a better, more experienced fighter. What the anime improved is the sense of suspense of just how close the escape was. Her feat was successful as much because of her skill as it was luck and while I think this was the intention to begin with, I think the pacing and depiction of her battle was so much better in the anime. It was a desperate charge picking out Titans in a smart way to protect that one building.
On the other hand, Annie was drafted against her will. It's dumb another strong weapon chooses not to fight in the middle of an apocalypse, but we're also in the middle of an apocalypse and it's better to not have a liability making things worse in there.
That's the kind of story I view this series to be. And technically the story never brings of the experience thing or Annie being a potential liability, I think the framing makes at least the tone clear.
And the very final chapters are the peak of this, I think.
Which is also why it sucks that Historia is treated the way she is. Everyone else is great and gets to be complex and she is sort of just written out in the most sloppy way possible. I think her scenes will all probably be consolidated in the finale into a single timeline, if that. (Though the truth is, I think even completely skipping them would treat her better, so I'm sort of holding out for that.)
I think the final chapter is exactly like this. I think it has a much more nuanced, but more importantly consistent thematic perspective than people give it credit for undermined by not letting it sit has much as it should and follows through from this material.
We can't change what happened, but we can try to make the best of the circumstances we are left with and move forward the best we can.
I think this series is flawed in more complex (and to me interesting) ways than I see claimed, too.
I think there is nuance to the potential read that the story is about Isayama painting a facsmile of imperialistic Japan as victims because he clearly wrote the the representitive of the fictional Japan in her story regretting her actions of exploiting a minority and admitting they only care about themselves.
Hizuru was basically destroyed because of its own greed and that's a very clear (and true) statement about Japan.
She goes on to say you only truly understand you've done wrong once you've actually done the wrong thing.
This feels like an apology to me. And that's good, but she's also a tertiary character, so much does it matter?
And how much of painting Hizuru as an ally is patting yourself on the back?
This story is full of these nuances to me, be it in a straight-forward reading of the text or on the meta level and that's why I will always have a soft spot for it.
I think there is so much more to it all on all levels.
But right now I felt like addressing these elements.

You probably already got this, buttt I'm at season 10 of the show rn and there's that episode where Carol has that weird dream about waking up, going into the kitchen where Daryl is cooking, and then Henry appears, okay. I've seen a lot of people being like "the fact that Carol is dreaming about Daryl and not Ezekiel definitely means something" bla bla. And then there was also the "let's go to New Mexico together" thing, which was probably only Carol trying to forget/heal about the whole Henry thing. And lastly I think it was 9x16, Ezekiel says to Daryl that he should go on his way to give him and Carol some time alone, or something like that. I still am not 100% sure why he said that, but some people were saying he was jealous? Idk, anyway, what are your thoughts?
Well, let me start by saying none of these instances remotely suggests a Carol/Daryl romantic relationship. I have to shake my head that certain ships claim that about every one of the situations you mentioned. It just goes to show that they're not *actually* paying attention to what's happening in the show that closely.
Each of these situations is so much more nuanced and complex than simply, "oh, maybe Daryl and Carol will finally have sex." 🙄🙄🙄
But let's take them one at a time. And I'm going to work backwards from the last one.
Tumblr media
Ezekiel asking Daryl to step away is most definitely Zeke trying to win Carol back, but it has nothing to do with jealously. Yes, both are possible at the same time. Zeke pretty much says he knows there's nothing romantic between Daryl and Carol. It's just that they're best friends and Carol is leaning on a Daryl a lot in the wake of Henry's death. Zeke is thinking that, if Daryl isn't there for her to lean on, she'll lean on him, Zeke, instead, and maybe that will help him win her back. So again, there are so many nuances there that have absolutely nothing to do with a jealous-fueled love triangle.
Tumblr media
Similarly, I do 100% believe that the talk of New Mexico was Carol trying to run away from her pain around Henry's death. Carol is notorious for running away from her problems, rather than facing or working through them. And again, neither Daryl nor Carol are awkward teenagers who might propose something like this as a cover for secretly having a crush and wanting to spend more time with one another. That's just not who either of these characters are. To suggest that's what's going on is doing both characters a disservice, showing that you have no idea who they actually are, quite frankly, downplaying Carol's motherly pain over losing a child violently in an extremely insensitive way.
Furthermore, notice how often when the writers are trying to show that something WON'T happen between Daryl and Carol, they use comedy to do it? There was the "wanna make out" line from 3x01, just moments before Daryl--very seriously--started staring at Beth while she sang. They did something similar about the friendship bracelets right after the New Mexico talk. And even in Find Me, they used mild comedy when Carol was catching the fish. And would you look at that: Daryl had an affair with someone else. Not Carol. I'm just mentioning.
Tumblr media
Finally, there's the dream from Ghosts. We've actually done a lot of analyzing of this dream, and it's meaning still evades us somewhat. It's so obscure and complex--which is exactly what the writers intended, I'm sure--that it's hard to pin down. But to say that her dreaming of Daryl rather than Zeke is an indication of romantic feelings is just so simple minded.
Am I the only one who thinks that Carol having a romantic dream about Daryl that includes her dead son, who was recently beheaded, sitting at the table, would be profoundly twisted and disturbing? I don't think I am, but a certain ship seems to be just fine with that being the case.
Again, they're clearly not paying attention to what's going on. There are so many intriguing elements to that dream that we have sat and puzzled over. The fact that he mentions buying jam (peanut butter and jelly are a Beth symbol). The compass rose on Henry's shirt (has been an important symbol since at least S4). The fact that Carol's watch is missing it's clock hands (grandfather clock in still that says, "time escapes"). And that's just off the top of my head. There are problably ten other important symbols we've discussed at one time or another. Other people are completely ignoring all these things, but I promise you they're put in purposefully by the writers to foreshadow something we don't entirely understand, yet.
And this is exactly why I have zero problem with Carol showing up for S2 of the Daryl spinoff. Carol has more story to tell that the writers haven't given us, yet. I still don't know exactly what the dream means, but I think it's foreshadowing things that haven't been paid off, yet. I also think Carol hasn't entirely healed emotionally from Henry's death, yet. Not that you ever completely get over the loss of a child. Of course not. But perhaps helping Daryl protect Laurant or--gasp!--helping reunite him with Beth would go a long way toward healing her wounds. And once she's in a better place emotionally, I have no doubt she'll go straight back to the man she's truly in love with: Ezekiel.
Anyway. This has turned into quite the ramble, hasn't it? I don't know if any of this is helpful, but I hope it gives you some things to think about.
Just keep in mind that when certain ships reduce particular scenes in the show to daytime soap opera seduction fantasies, and then freak out and say the writers are disrespecting them when it doesn't literally happen, they're ignoring the beautiful, complex nuances the TWD writers put into these character arcs. Then they scream at those same writers for not dumbing down their story to make it cheap, high school drama. I think it's a damn shame.
And then there was Bethyl. *sigh*
Tumblr media
Thanks so much for the question, Nonny! Xoxo! ☀️🔥😘
