Today I felt a lot of fear for Leo, Sunny, Richas D: I want to protect them like how they protect me. I look smaller but I’ve learned a lot. And now I can protect them. I want when Apa Roier returns for him to be proud of me and also Apa Quackity :-D I’d like you guys to know that you don’t need to worry so much about me :-D To prioritize being happy :D If they’re happy then I’m happy too.

Bbh: I understand Pepito if you want your siblings to be happy.. I understand Pepito.

Pepito: I promise that if I’m in danger again I’ll be stronger.

Bbh: Aw Pepito! That’s- Look that’s very sweet of you. I know you are very tough, a very tough little guy, okay? I mean you’re not that little you’re a month old now. And obviously being a month old means you have more responsibilities, you have more things that you have to do, um, and so I think this is good that you want to take on more responsibilities Pepito. And so obviously yes I will trust you to help keep an eye on your siblings, um, and making sure that they’re safe. But Pepito! I also want you to keep this in mind, okay? Is as your parents, and your aunts, and your uncles, right? It’s our job to keep an eye on you guys. So, I will allow you Pepito to help protect me, okay? And all of your siblings as long as you remember that we’re also going to help protect you too, okay? So just keep that in mind, that we’re going to keep an eye on you and you watch our backs as well, okay Pepito?

Bbh: Okay. We can all take care of each other cause we’re all one big family aren’t we? Aw, I’m so proud of you Pepito. Aw you’re growing up so fast! Just don’t grow up too quickly little guy! Aww.

Pepito: I met Apa Quackity :0 I felt a great need to make him smile. I think there are many ways to take care of others :D And how to make them happy.

Bbh: That is very mature Pepito. That is very true. There are lots of ways to take care of other people. You can make them happy, you can keep them physically safe, you can make food for them, theres tons of ways you can help take care of people. ... I think just by playing that game, uh, with Quackity, by spending time with him by hanging out with him, you made your papa so happy. Because as parents we’re happy when our kids are happy. It brings us joy to know that we’re doing a good job raising you and taking care of you.

Pepito: Do you think I can achieve that with Apa Roier?

Bbh: Hmm. You know what? I definitely think you can Pepito. In fact, I’ll say it certainly. You certainly will be able to.

Pepito: In the photo Richas gifted me you can see Apa Roier smiling.

Bbh: Yes, um, I think Pepito your Apa Roier has been through a lot, right? Um, the older you get Pepito, um, life kinda hits you over the head with a hammer periodically, sometimes a lot sometimes a little, everybody’s situation is different. Um, but uh I do think that with time you can be healed of pretty much everything, okay? Almost everything. And I think with time your papa will smile again. So don’t lose hope little guy. Keep your spirits up and just trust that your dad will be happy again. And just be there for him. That’s the best you can do.

Bbh: And that’s all you have to do, don’t be upset, just try. And keep your hope up, okay? You’re doing great already. I definitely think he’ll smile again.

The three states of QSMP play

I’m back for another neutral take (I know no one can be truly neutral, but I am ignoring my bias here alright? Good? Good.) linked to the QSMP! This time, with various kinds of plays on this server.

So. People talk a lot about “This one is always in RP-mode” and “This one doesn’t RP at all” etc. these days. But let’s break this down a bit, shall we?

Upon my many years of watching Minecraft server RP (aka, like 3 years, not that many but eh, they count), I’ve noticed something interesting in the way players interacted with the story line and their characters. In this analysis, I’ll focus on QSMP since it’s one server where players have said explicitly that they have “Characters” that they play. So let’s jump into this.

The first mode: Out-Of-RP (I’ll call it OORP)

This, despite what’s expected, is the least used by almost everybody on the QSMP (yes, yes, surprising for a few watchers, but let me explain). The OORP mode is one I define as: “When the Content Creator is fully out of game” This includes when anyone leaves their computer to go to the bathroom, when they mute themselves to reassure their chat that they’re doing intense RP and do not actually hate the others, when they talk about when they met in person (In Brazil, Paris, Vegas, etc). This is the mode where the things talked about are not linked at all to what would be happening right at this moment RP-wise.

The second mode: RP

This is what happens 90% of the time for most of the server. They do not have to actively be talking about their Lore, they can be building and talking to their chat about what’s happening, how the eggs are doing, what another character has said to them, etc. I define it as “When the Content Creator is playing their character”. The level of intensity varies between creators, but mostly, it is a very chill play. They sometimes are in that mode while huge Lore is happening and they aren’t super into it at the moment. They could be helping out, but they won’t react much to big events and might even distance themselves from the loudest people in the room. We saw that when BBH showed up with his amnesia RP when they got back to the server post Purgatory and Etoiles went OORP for a moment to say he was too tired to RP but still hang out with Bagi and BBH until he got too exhausted for the high-intensity of the scene and backed off. He was in RP mode when he cracked jokes and asked questions and answered Bagi’s worries, but he was way too exhausted to match the intensity of BBH. We saw that in multiple different exchanges and, yep! That’s RP still! It’s just easier to see the extravagant one when the other is more mellow, even if both are playing their characters.

The third and last mode: LORE

Alright, this one is very easy and yet I wanna describe it to be sure everyone’s on the same page. This one is “When the content creator is fully immersed and playing into his character about the events of the story.”. Now this one is tricky to distinguish from RP for some people/characters. For Philza, for exemple, when he goes into his “LORE Mode”, he changes the camera, the screen, the sounds, etc. Not all of the time, but it’s when it’s most visible. Almost everyone goes into LORE mode when something huge happens (Finding the eggs in Purgatory, meeting an important NPC, having their character Lore revealed, etc.) We saw this often during the Lore drops. When Baghera shared her Background in the federation, when Philza went to the Birdhouse, when Forever and Pac had their Happy Pills arc, when BBH played his grief when the eggs disappeared and when he came out of Purgatory… All of these were and are Lore moments which are easy to spot.

The problem with these is…

No one can watch absolutely everyone on the server. If not for the language barrier (Especially when some players’ translation breaks or when they do not put it on (that’s more of a problem considering the goal of multilingual conversation on the server)), for the sheer time needed to follow that. But this means that people will miss out on character LORE and RP for sure. People who don’t understand French will be lost when the French Content Creators mute themselves to point out something to their chat while speaking French. People who don’t understand Portuguese will be lost when watching Bagi and she starts speaking too fast to get a good translation. People who don’t understand Spanish will be lost when Mariana shows up and forget to properly set his translation after he speaks English for a while. People who don’t understand English will be lost when someone doesn’t set their translation when they start chatting around in English. And it is things that will and have happened. I know more Lore about Etoiles than some friends of mine because I don’t miss anything when he switches to French while in RP. Sometimes it's not a question of trying, it's a question of language barrier!

The real problem is actually when people start defining what constitutes the three modes by the way one or two Content Creators do them. No two have the same RP mode, the same LORE mode. Some are very intense on their RP so they go into LORE very smoothly, some are just as smooth but because both of these are more subtle. This server has a lot of people talking to each other for hours being in RP mode but since they don’t start doing LORE mode (which is more obvious), it passes over some people’s head that they are doing RP.

It’s a bit sad to follow someone for a while, following their POV, knowing how much they put into their character and how much they RP with the content they make. And then get someone who’s way more used to a brighter more obvious RP say that the creator you follow doesn’t do shit. It’s ok and expected to have many kinds! Heck! It’s great that we do! Or else the number of viewers would be lower. This way, people who like more intensive and noticeable RP and chaos can go towards the ones who give them that, and the viewers that prefer a more subtle approach where the big things are actually less noticeable, they can watch exactly that!

I won’t lie, I am enjoying the mellow side more than the energized one. I like to be able to work while I watch a stream, I’m able to when it’s two hours of building, or just people going across the map to find a dungeon. Purgatory, even while watching only one team most of the time, was way too exhausting for me, even if I had fun watching it and gosh every big event was nerve wracking, it was too much for me. I was glad to take a few days break for a while and, I will say it, BBH’s impressive intensive amnesia RP, viewed from Etoiles’ POV I was watching, drained me way faster than anything else. And you know what? That’s great! Because it means that people who love that kind of intensity are getting FED and that’s so cool.

Bottom line

I am begging for people to respect the fact that no two people have the same kind of play and RP. I have absolutely nothing against any personal preference since I know that what I enjoy makes other people fully bored, but words matter. No one out there should be going around saying “This CC’s RP suck! They don’t even do any!” when it just isn’t true. “This CC’s RP is way too subtle for me, I don’t even feel like they do any” THAT is a good take. If I agree or not with it, it doesn’t matter, but people are getting way too comfortable sharing their personal feelings as facts and that is why we slide into toxicity and anger towards each other. I personally don’t vibe with BBH’s more intense RP. And? It’s far from being bad RP, it’s just not my cup of tea!

TL:DR;

There are 3 Modes: Out-Of-RP which is fully meta, RP which is being in-character, and LORE which is being very intensively in character linked to events. No two streamers on the QSMP have the same level of intensity in RP and LORE and that is perfectly fine. Just don’t spread your preferences as if they were facts, it’s what feeds toxic exchanges and it can be fixed really easily by changing how you bring things to the table.

genre: angst, fluff, soft baekhyun

synopsis: reader is pregnant and in her feelings; baekhyun is a good husband

warnings: reader and baekhyun argue for a little bit, but it is not anything bad or crazy

your pregnancy hasn’t been easy. the morning sickness has lasted beyond what you thought it would, though it’s not as bad as it was in the beginning, and your body just aches. your moods change within a blink of an eye, making everything just harder for you and the people around.

but despite it all, you’re grateful to be pregnant and to be carrying baekhyuns baby. you just couldn’t wait for the day you finally pushed this little baby out.

“are you feeling better, honey?” your mom asks you, coming out of the kitchen with a glass of water for you. ever since your sickness didn’t stop after the the first few months, your mom insisted that somebody be there with you when baekhyun is away.

“yes,” you reply, taking the offered water from her hand. a few minutes before baekhyun left for the store, you told him you felt sick and he offered to stay with you, but you need groceries so he left and called your mom instead. it was when she walked in the door that you vomited, and chalked it up to a perfume or scent she was wearing. every time she’s come by you tonight, you’ve tried to breathe through your mouth so you don’t get nauseous.

you and your mom sit quietly on the couch and she checks in on you about every 30 seconds. you rub your belly as you watch the tv. by the third time your mom asks if you’re doing alright, you’re praying for baekhyun to walk through the door so she can go home.

to your luck, he walks in about five minutes later, and if you could spring up and usher your mom out, you would. but you stay seated, a smile on your face as he walks through the door. “hey, mom, hey, y/n,” baekhyun says, with a small smile on his face, his voice a little tired. he sets the bags of groceries on the counter and your mom gets up to greet him and help him unload everything.

you stay on the couch, both of them unaware of your pouting. y/n? since when did he ever call you that? you frown fold your hands over your stomach, tuning out the conversation between your mother and your husband.

“alright, honey, i’m leaving,” your mom says, coming over and giving you a kiss on your forehead. “are you alright?” she asks, putting a hand on top of your head.

“yes,” you snap. “get home safe.” you add, and your tone is anything but friendly. she opens her mouth to reply but closes it, not wanting to argue with you and make it worse, and just awkwardly pats your head before turning away to exit.

baekhyun and her share a look before he walks her out. he comes back and takes measured steps into the living room, as if entering a lions den. “are you alright, honey?” he asks sweetly, coming to sit next to you on the couch.

“now you want to call me honey?” you ask, glaring over at him. baekhyuns eyebrows furrow in confusion.

“what? i always call you that,” he says, going to grab your hand, but you pull it away.

“no, you called me ‘y/n’ when you walked in,” you whine, your frown deepening. baekhyuns face remains confused as he tries to remember everything he did when he got home. “i’m not your baby anymore?” you ask, your eyes welling up.

panic paints baekhyuns face when he notices the tears and he quickly scoots closer to you and grabs both of your hands. “of course you are, y/n! i just didn’t want to call you that in front of your mom,” he says, which is barely true but it’s true enough at the moment. he just wasn’t really thinking when he walked in. “don’t be upset, baby.” he says, kissing the back of your hands. you sniff and pull one of your hands away to wipe stray tears.

“can i have a kiss?” you ask, your voice quiet and shy. baekhyun smiles and brushes some hair out of your face before nodding and learning forward, gently placing his lips on yours. you put your hands on his cheeks and pull him impossibly closer to you, wanting to feel and be near him.

when you pull away, you give him a small smile and baekhyun pecks your lips before standing up. “i got you those snacks you wanted,” he says, grabbing your hands and pulling you up and off of the couch. your smile widens at the mention of your snacks, and you follow him into the kitchen.

baekhyun pulls down the box and opens it for you, grabbing one of the individual packages and handing it to you. you quickly tear it open and take a bite, expecting to enjoy it. you stop chewing and look at the packaging; everything is correct, but the taste is off. baekhyun has his back to you, rummaging through the cupboards, so he doesn’t see your reaction. “these aren’t right,” you say.

he turns around and looks at you, and then the box on the counter. “yes they are. you sent me a photo to make sure,” baekhyun says, pulling his phone out of his pocket to double check.

you shake your head. “no, they’re not. they don’t taste right,” you say, frowning at the food in the package.

“but they’re right. look,” he says, showing you the photo you sent.

“okay, but they’re not right,” you say, irritation evident in your voice. baekhyun looks at you, dumbfounded. “i dont want them.” you say, going over to the trash and throwing your unfinished snack away.

“are you going to throw them away?” he asks you, folding his arms over his chest.

“yes! they’re not right, baekhyun!” you say, your voice getting louder. you don’t really mean to yell at him, but you do and it makes him upset.

“baby, i don’t know what to do about that,” he says, trying to keep his voice even. baekhyun purses his lips as you guys have a silent stand off, and you shrug.

“well, i don’t want them,” you say, walking out of the kitchen.

“oh my god,” baekhyun mumbles under his breath. you snap your head in his direction and frown.

“what did you say?”

“nothing,” baekhyun says quickly, putting the box of snacks back in the cupboard because he knows that tomorrow you’ll be asking for them. “i didn’t say anything.” he reassures when he sees your frown.

you shake your head. “you’re mad at me,” you say, your expression somehow turning even sadder and your eyes welling up again. baekhyun runs his hand through his hair.

“no, y/n, i’m not,” he says, but the more you both stand here and argue, the thinner his patience gets, and you start to feel guilty. he does a lot for you, especially since you’ve been pregnant, and tries not to cause you any problems, and here you are crying over snacks.

“yes you are! i can see it!” you say, tears slipping out of your eyes.

“y/n!” baekhyun says, with more force and volume than he wanted. “please, just go sit down, okay? i’ll get you dinner just.. please, baby.” he says, his eyes closed and his head tilted up towards the ceiling. you sniff and turn around, sulking back to the couch.

the tears don’t stop, not even when he brings you a plate of food 10 minutes later. “here, baby,” he says gently, pulling the coffee table closer to you and setting the food down. he leans over you and kisses the top of you head and wipes under your eyes. “we’re okay.” he says, tilting your face to look up at him. you give him a small nod and he kisses your forehead.

“thank you,” you say, holding onto his wrists. he only nods and then tells you that he’s going to take a quick shower. you say okay, and when he’s gone, you fan your eyes to keep the tears at bay. you feel terrible and guilty, and you’re so tired of crying, but you can’t stop. you know baekhyun loves you and will do anything for you, and you know that he’s probably not as mad at you as you think, but you can’t help but feel like a problem.

later, when baekhyun gets out of the shower, he sees you already in bed. “hey,” you say, looking up from your book that is using your stomach as a stand. he gives you a small smile.

“hi,” he wipes the back of his neck with a towel and grabs some clothes, going back into the bathroom to change and finish his nightly routine. when he comes back out, he has a bottle of oil and some lotion in his hand. “do you want me to oil your belly?” he asks.

you nod and push the covers down and pull your shirt up. every night he does this, and has once you started to show. he massages your feet too, mostly when you ask, but he does it nonetheless. baekhyun is good to you, sometimes too good and it makes you wonder if you’re doing enough for him, but he constantly reassures you that you are.

baekhyun starts with the lotion first and gently massages your stomach. you watch him with love in your eyes, but that earlier feeling of guilt quickly takes over. “i’m sorry,” you blurt.

“for?” he asks, lifting his eyes to look at you.

“everything; being difficult and hardheaded,” you say, putting a hand on his cheek.

“you’re not difficult,” he says, going back to rubbing your stomach.

“yes, i am,” you argue. “but i dont want to fight, i just want to say that i’m sorry, and i love you.” you say, and he looks up at you with the kindest eyes, the ones that you said “i do” to a few years ago, the ones that made you fall for him after your second date. your baekhyun.

“i love you too, baby,” he says, leaning forward and kissing you sweetly. you could cry again from relief and happiness, but you don’t. you let yourself melt into him and this kiss that lets you know that everything will be alright.

Angst Incoming (Pissa edition)

Okokokokokok First Things First I’m sorry this is because of what happened to Missa last night because of foolish. No hate to any creators obviously. It just made me start thinking thoughts-

Do you think Missa would start to avoid Philza thinking foolish killed him under his orders? Philza is the leader of red. It’s not that big a stretch. Do you think he begged for mercy and received none? Do you think as much as he still loves Philza that he is finally SCARED of him. Missa may love everyone and not want to be violent- almost in a naive sorta sense. But what if he starts to fully believe Philza would kill him. Ever since they got paired up together. Missa never felt scared of Philza. But now he is. And he is terrified.

He would gladly accept it and still love Philza no question in that. Philza doesn’t understand why Missa avoids and hides from him. So scared but so In love leaving Missa emotions in a complicated knot. And at worst Missa understands. Anything to save his eggs.

Do you think foolish casually boasts that he killed Missa in his sleep (afk) to their leader Philza? Philza quickly being full of dread and rock in his stomach realizing his husband the love of his life he misses so much is SCARED of him. That Missa misunderstood foolish actions as blessed by him. That Missa even got it in his head Philza wanted to harm him. And the fact Missa fully accepted that fact? That’s he’s okay with it. Anything to save chayanne and Tallulah?

Missa self worth is so low. He won’t share any of this with Philza. He understands. If anything some pain is nothing to show he can be a good dad for once. He loves Philza. But his nightmares have Philza in them and Philza isn’t the one in pain in them. “It makes sense….anything for chayanne..good I was useful for Philza..he needed the points.. anything to get chayanne and Tallulah back… I understand-“

Tina watches Missa as he wakes up from nightmares numerous times during the night. Mumbling he wants Philza back. He hates it here. He just wants to be friends again. She starts to watch him one of the sweetest guys she knows slowly break. Causing her to hate Philza and red team even more. Because yes for foolish it was a Simple as slicing Missa neck as he slept. But Tina? She sees the aftermath. And it ain’t pretty. All she can do is comfort him. She doesn’t understand even after what they did to him that he is still begging everyone in the blue team not to retaliate. She openly sees the healed scar on his neck and can’t bring herself to be peaceful. Missa is a better man that everyone else in blue.

Tina tries her best. She makes Missa in the days after to have some sort of structure. She makes Missa farm apples in the morning and she mines with him in the evening. She denies BBH desire to use him in any plans where he would clearly die yet again. She will protect Missa. Tina is Missa new source of safety. Spreen his brother is dead. His eggs have been missing. And his husband is on a separate team.

Once Philza learns what foolish has done to Missa. His beautiful and wonderful husband that he knows so well isn’t violent. Philza tries to find him. But when Missa doesn’t want to talk he won’t be found. And Tina definitely is pretty protective. Eventually he does find Missa and THEY finally talk.

Both hugging each other. They missed each other so much. Philza gently touches the scar on Missa neck and feels so guilty. Missa immediately forgives him. Missa may be scared of his team and practically everything but that won’t stop him from loving his husband. They kiss each other with tear tracks their faces. And just be with each-other in the moment amidst the bloodshed and the chaos.

They both start to find places to meet up even as their teams start to grow even more aggressive just being with each other. Philza is most definitely worried that each time Missa Mets him he has more bruises and scars gained from numerous respawns. Philza even has to see Missa maskless. Missa lost the mask early on in the chaos.

JUST them communicating and loving each other the same even if the world has gone mad. Philza along with others slowly uncover a way to save all eggs and Missa is right there with philza like they both haven’t gotten through the worst two weeks of their life. They are in love and are together and that what matters. They do get worse. They somehow get even more obsessed with eachother. But they made it through and stronger for it.

Aaaahhh I just finished ‘Merry Men Making Merry’ (otherwise known as MMMM) and I’m so hyped about it!!! I had so much fun reading it, your world-building is amazing, so impressive!

As I said I’m a big fan of the story of Robin Hood and it brings back childhood memories. I like that you can read your fic without having any knowledge of the original story, but if you do have knowledge of it it’s so much fun to recognize parts. Like BBH being friar Tuck had me cackling, it’s perfect!

I always love how you write Larray, I can literally hear him in my head with the way you write him 🤭

Oooh and don’t get me started on the ingenuity of incorporating their background stories through flashbacks, that really made the story come to life for me.

This is probably my favorite part in the fic. For a moment there you had me fooled because of how the og story ends, but your ending was literally perfect. Anyway, I don’t want to spoil too much and I’ve been going on for too long so for anyone reading this ask please go read the fic, you will not regret it!

Spoilers under the cut!

I really wanted to write Robin Hood and I was blessed to get the prompt (It was one of those challenged where you give your top 3 preference and then get assigned one). I knew I could write something actiony/adventury because I LOOOVE writing those and I think I'm pretty good at it. Cc!DNF don't really lend themselves to action and adventure but AU versions of them do. Deep in Dream and The Mushroom King and the Nightmare were some of my favorite stories to write. Like, fully obsessed while I was writing them and working on the world building, and MMMM reminded me heavily of those vibes.

I have seen the DIsney animated movie, of course, and also "Men In Tights" and both of those stories kind of spoof the already famous tropes of Robin Hood, so I did some digging --aka I watched an hour long youtube video essay about the evolution of Robin Hood lore-- and dove in. I wanted to add elements from different "canons" - like Robin Hood being secretly a nobleman. I also didn't want this story to be 100K words (which, as you know, I could easily accidentally do) so I decided for the plot, we would center around something fun-- stealing something, since that's what he's known for. I didn't know how to make George Maid Marian because obviously he has to be the love interest, OBVIOUSLY lol, so once I changed it to Maid Marian being Dream's sister, it all kind of fell into place.

However, I also wanted to see *how* they became the Merry Men, I think that's really interesting and integral to the story, and thus the flashbacks were born. I really don't like flashbacks, both in reading and writing, I think they can be done very very well (Hi Luci!), but normally i just find them really boring, so I had to keep them short and action packed to keep everyone's attention.

BBH as Friar Tuck -- fit tooooo perfectly, I just had to. I went back and forth on George or Sapnap being Little John and then decided it didn't really matter ultimately, they both kind of fill that role. Though, George kind of also rounds out the "Robin Hood" persona --please note that he gets mistaken for Robin Hood at least once in the fic!

I had a blast writing this one and, not going to lie, it got away from me for a while, but @rebelwithoutabroom helped pull me back lol.

With the next milestone approaching, there's something a little different but not really coming! I will share a short excerpt to give you a taste hehe

He had probably hoped that Saturday would never arrive, but it did. And even then, he had yet to muster the courage to take on his punishment with dignity.

But it’d been an hour, and you were getting tired of watching him huffing and puffing, crying about the injustices of life and his poor asshole. He was buck naked the entire time too.

‘I’m also cold… Why is it so cold in our house? Can’t we afford heating? I should try and earn more money…’

You sighed.

‘Baekhyun, it’s not gonna work.’ You stretched your arms and legs before sitting down next to him. ‘Either quit it or let me do it for you.’

‘You? Do it for me?’ He shook his head. ‘Impossible. I’d like to preserve at least some dig-’

‘Lie flat on your belly. Right now.’ You ordered strictly.

‘Yes, ma’am.’

You smiled at his sudden obedience. He obviously trusted you to help him get it over with, but preferred to be strongarmed into doing this. To preserve some ‘dignity’.

‘Just relax, baby. You’re way too tense.’

Climbing on top of him, you poured some of that massage oil onto his bare back. You ran your palms up along his spine smoothly, and Baekhyun grunted like an old man.

‘God, you are just one giant knot.’ You muttered, putting a little more force into it.

Another muffled grunt escaped his mouth, this time sounding a bit more like a moan.

‘Here, here, grandpa. You can entrust yourself to me. Both your back and your butt.’

He grumbled into the pillow, and you could not make out his words. Instead, you went up his shoulders to knead the back of his neck. This spot was always sore, and he did not surprise you by suddenly going tense and groaning loudly before deflating into a lax mess.

‘You know what, Y/N…’ He mumbled between sighs of contentment. ‘You can fuck me in my ass right now and I won’t object.’

Ok, all my current thoughts on the 4halo/untamed cross over

going below a cut cuz this is going to get long XD

ok so there is a problem. Both bbh and forever fit Wei Wuxian and neither of them fit Lan Wangji XD I think bbh fits wwx’s profile more but ill compare which traits they have that match wwx -- (i main bbh and occasionally watch forever so take my interpretation of forever’s character with a grain of biased salt)

bbh: black and red color palette, associated with death/necromancy, ray of sunshine, selfless to the point of self destruction, insufferable prankster and joker, fierce intelligence hidden behind silliness, fiercely compassionate, lack of respect for rules or authority

forever: selfless to the point of self destruction, fiercely compassionate for everyone, very strong morals, lack of respect for rules or authority, strong familial bonds with others, fiercely intelligent and a brilliant inventor (create mod)

In another vein, I think the nature of 4halo’s relationship in cannon mirrors wangxian in a number of ways if bbh is wwx and forever is lwg - lemme explain XD

In the beginning, one party decides that they want to annoy and follow around the other party, who is disinterested and focused on other concerns. Through the persistence of the first party, the second grows fond of them and eventually sees that their souls are the same. The two work together over time to accomplish their shared goal and a friendship of mutual respect and admiration is born. Am i talking about 4halo or wangxian. Trick question. Answer is both.

When the brazilians were first added, bbh terrified forever with his grim reaper act and forever thought bbh was suss as hell because bbh was following them around the server while forever was with Richarlyson cuz bbh was worried Richarlyson would lose a life while they were thousands of blocks from spawn XD Im pretty sure it was only when they were working with the theory bros that forever realized bbh was trust worthy and the rest is history.

So, with my justifications laid out, I’m going to proceed with bbh as wwx and forever as a loose lwj. Here is my thoughts on casting for everyone else. This part is the hard part XD I’ll justify my choosing after it’ll all make sense XD (somehow we ended up with even less woman than the original cast which seems like it should be impossible but there are only 2 women on the smp sooooo) (also i only know most of the qsmp cast from bbh, Foolish, Bagerah, and Cell’s perspective and tumblr posts lol so... yea)

Wei Wixian: bad boy halo

Lan Wangji: Forever

Jiang Yanli: Foolish

Jiang Cheng: Maximus

Lan Xichen: Cellbit

Meng Yao/Jin Guangyao: Felps

Wen Ning: AyPierre

Wen Qing: Bagerah

Xue Yang: Quackity

Ok, so context, most of these casting choices were more about their relationships than the characters themselves but here we go with my reasoning (am 100% open to alternatives let me know your casting choices in the comments!)

Jiang Yanli x Jin Zixuan = Foolish x Vegetta. Ok so Foolish is super laid back when it comes to lore but is incredibly protective when it comes to people he loves. We all remember his 10/10 acting when Forever hit Leo. I am just imagining him as Yanli telling Jin Zixun off during the crowd hunt like yes queen. Vegetta stands firm with his commitment to Foolish even when everyone is constantly saying Foolish is cheating on him and trusts him, wants to be with him regardless of the rumors. These two fit Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan’s end game relationship so much it makes my heart hurt XD

Jiang Cheng as Maximus. This one was one of the most difficult to cast but I think Max fits pretty well. From my experience Max can be silly but for the most part is pretty stoic and focused on the bigger picture. He is also pretty detached from others without any real solid connections other than Sophia.

Lan Xichen as Cellbit. This one was easy. Cellbit is super into all of the lore and enigmas just like Lan Xichen and while he has a somewhat serious personality he is always down for silliness and having a good time. Plus, his relationship to Forever is a given.

Meng Yao as Felps. ok this one was more uncertain as all I know about Felps is from the prison break XD but I know he and Cellbit are very close and Felps isn’t very good at minecraft so he’d make a perfect Meng Yao XD idk lol

Wen Ning and Wen Qing as AyPierre and Bagerah. This one is also a bit of a stretch. Bagerah is very devoted to her goals and family but also has a pretty strong moral backbone. Even though she is pretty silly a lot of the time, I think she’d make a good Wen Qing.

Xue Yang, Xiao Xing Chen and Song Lan as Quackity, Wilbur, and Philza. Okay hear me out. Xue Yang x Xiao Xing Chen has similarities to Quackity x Wilbur. Wilbur has been hostile to Quackity because Quackity keeps trying to steal Tallulah and Quackity’s been pretty wild since Tilin’s death. Obviously he isn’t anywhere near Xue Yang’s craziness but I think he’s the closest other than Slime. Philza as Song Lan to Wilbur’s Xaio Xing Chen

My thoughts when it comes to the kids, breaking mdzs cannon a bit here. Dapper is Wen Yuan during the burial mounds but they have the personality of Lan Jingyi post time skip while Richarlyson has Lan Suzhui’s personality XD. So, uh, idk haha Maybe Lan Wangji adopts both of them? or the characters are combine idk lol

Jing Ling as Leo also fits so well it hurts my heart. Leo is a lonly child who is super protective and kinda territorial with their parents. She would be so ruined if her parents were killed. I am just imgining Leo in Jin Ling’s scenario and my heart hurts for him.

Alternatively, if Forever is Wei Wuxian then Cellbit is Jiang Cheng and Felps is Jiang Yanli. Bbh is Lan Wangi, Wilbur is Lan Zichen, Quackity is Meng Yao, Foolish is Nie Huasang, Philza is Nie Mingjue.

I Love Scamp

The TV adaptation of Charlie Mackesy’s bestselling illustrated book, The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse was the most watched BBC programme on Christmas Eve. Maybe I’m getting overly sentimental in my old age, but I thought the understated short film brought the tale of unusual friendships to life beautifully.

However, what really grabbed me was the accompanying documentary which lets us into the author’s world and his meticulous way of working. It’s a fascinating watch and reaffirmed my belief that committing pen to paper remains one of the purest forms of creative expression.

Before I’m accused of being a technophobe, I’m not advocating that we all unplug our computers and ignore the opportunities that technology enables. Even I’m not that naive, but I am suggesting that we’ve neglected an important craft that deserves a renaissance.

Still not sure what I’m on about? Let’s cut to the chase. I’m referring to the lost art of scamping.

Watching Charlie work his magic over Christmas served as a reminder of just how powerful drawing can be during the creative process. So powerful in fact that a hand drawn scamp is capable of not only enhancing an idea, but also playing a valuable role in protecting it.

Let’s start with how they can make an idea better, sometimes even serendipitously. When talking about one of his most popular sketches, captioned ‘the greatest illusion is that life should be perfect’, Charlie reveals that whilst the ink was drying, his dog walked over the drawing ‘clearly trying to make the point’. It’s an anecdote that captures the possibility that comes with hand-drawn work. Yes, Charlie got lucky, but he was using a medium that lends itself to ideas being built upon organically.

There’s also something to be said for the originality that sits at the heart of a scamp, with our thoughts given the freedom to flow onto the page. It’s why I always loved the pencils handed out at BBH. No doubt some of the world’s greatest advertising campaigns started with one of them, a blank sheet of paper and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

If being creative is about doing new original things, defaulting to image libraries when an idea is in its infancy makes little sense to me. Of course, the right kind of accompanying creative reference is invaluable, but placeholder visuals so early on can distract from the core idea and lead to subjective feedback. Why? Because you’re asking the client to takeaway rather than build upon what’s in front of them.

Naturally the agency blames the client ‘for being too literal’, but if we’re armed with this intel, why do we continue to try and sell creative that sort of looks finished, but is nothing like what we really want to make?

We’ve all been there. “What you’re about to see is not the final execution”. “Think of it like a posh scamp”.

It’s a dangerous game and whether we like it or not, creative presentations are passed around internal stakeholders who understandably aren’t always up to speed on the intricacies of a ‘posh’ scamp. Take away the agency disclaimer voice over and it’s hardly surprising that so many good ideas move onto death row without a fair trial.

It’s why I believe the protective role a ‘common’ scamp can play in the creative process is one of its biggest strengths. Ideas are fragile and need to be nurtured. Like a handwritten letter, there’s something more human and therefore persuasive about a new concept presented in its rawest form, particularly given how rare a technique it’s become.

From a strategy perspective it’s why we often include a photograph that captures the organised chaos of a client/agency workshop when presenting back. Even if the day was largely unproductive, (FYI – many ideas are bad ideas), the sea of luminous post it notes with illegible scribbles conveys a sense of shared ownership and a feeling that brief was interrogated from every angle.

Thankfully Charlie Mackesy wasn’t referring to the output from a workshop when he revealed “it blew his mind that he was sitting talking about a film which began with drawings”. Hindsight’s a wonderful thing, but when you look at the quality of his craft, the medium he embraced and the cultural context, there’s a reason why he’s been so successful at selling his work alongside his team.

One of the most important jobs in advertising is to shorten the odds of a client buying great ideas. Like a penalty shoot-out in football, it’s a fallacy to suggest it’s a lottery. That’s why the best agencies obsess about creating the right conditions for a successful meeting. And whilst the humble scamp might not always be the answer, it’s certainly not a bad place to start. Just ask Charlie.

I’m sick atm but other than that I’m doing good! I can’t remember who all I watched for my first MCC but I know I tried to watch a million because I was inbetween mini hyper fixes atp like I was between wilbur and sap and like the DSMP as a whole when it comes to major ones so I was very indecisive

I think my next one I tried doing Wilbur,Sap,Punz and BBH or something like that but someone’s was too far behind everyone else’s and it was hurting my brain so I had to turn theirs off

I have a picture of my laptop (from back when it wasn’t broken RIP laptop I’ve been to lazy to take to ask how much it would be to fix it) and I’m pretty sure in the pic I have Wilbur,Sap and Punz’s POVs up but like I feel like I remember talking to my best friend cause even those three was a lot for my brain and my internet so I think after that MCC was when I switched to exclusively Punz

The only MCC he’s been in that I haven’t watched his POV is all stars which I didn’t even watch live all the way cause we had a church dinner so sjxjxj

Other than that it’s always been him and for ones he hasn’t been in I didn’t watch like the first MCC pride the one with Wilbur’s fire alarm and stuff because my Punz hyperfix was probably at its new peak or getting there so I had no interest in any POV that wasn’t his but the next MCC pride I watched Foosh and then Hannah’s first MCC I watched her and underdogs I watched Foosh again !!

Likely I’ll either watch Hannah or Foosh if he’s not in this one but idk maybe Sam if he’s in it it’s been a long time since I’ve watched a Sam MCC I don’t do well with vods something in my brain doesn’t like them so the only Sam MCC I think I’ve watched is when he teamed with Preston tho now that I think about it maybe I watched the one he teamed with dnf and Quackity or at least saw clips because I def watched Punz’s live I remember that team so well because that’s the MCC where Fundy purposely did a glitch he knew was illegal and I got so upset because it affected Punz’s team a fair bit :((

Wilbur would be fun to watch as well tho maybe BBH hmm there’s always a few options but for some reason I just usually default to Foosh it seems ? I guess because I like the face cam MCC and something about the vibes are similar to Punz and I just love Foosh anyways and he’s my second most watched streamer for sure so I guess that’s why

That reminds me I’ve never gotten a twitch recap I hope I can figure out how to get one this year

Anyways I’ll stop my ramble now well at least this specific ramble but my brain is thinking of cute little Punz rambles so I may send you those -PBA

oh god yeah i remember my first mcc and trying to watch multiple povs💀💀 it was hell. but ye i’ll probably default to either will or tommy. tommy’s always a joy to watch in mcc cause of how uplifting he is and it makes me :’)

also i am the same way about vods. i always tell myself ill watch them and then never do lmao. the only exception is if its something i Really Really wanted to see or i just need something on in the background while i’m doing something.

  “hello tubbo! tubbo. tubzo.”  tommy yelled again and again, trying to get tubbo’s attention.

  tommy continued continued yelling his name for a response. pitying the poor boy, you responded “hi tommy.”

  “oh. hello.” tommy made his minecraft character walk over to you. “what is tubbo doing?”

  “uh, he’s arguing with ranboo? about something somewhat important, i presume.”

  “lore married, those two are. strange, innit?” tommy turned his character to look more directly at yours. the eyebrows on the character made him look intimidating, especially with the way he stared at you.

  “yeah. yes. strange. lore married.” the conversation had ended from there, with an awkward silence. after a while tubbo and ranboo had finally stopped fighting.

  it had been a few days since your interaction with tommy. everything had been pretty normal, just hanging out with ranboo and tubbo. helping oversee the building of the mansion. that was, until tommy came and talked to you.

  “uh, hello tommy.”

  “hey. i’m live right now. what are you doing?”

  “uh, nothing really. mainly have been overseeing the build of ranboo and tubbo’s mansion.”

  “close, the two of you are?”

  “yep. i know him irl so i would say, yeah, we’re pretty close.” this was where you started to get a bit questioning.  sure, you had spoken to tommy before, but you two weren’t necessarily close.

  “hey, y’know what i think.” he turned his character to stare at you.

  “no, what do you think tommy?”

  “let’s be friends.”

  tommy proceeded to drag you around the server, getting to know you better. you two had run around quite a bit, and ended up near the badlands. tommy, of course, decided to bring you into his mischief.

  “ok, when bad joins vc, after i say hello you have to say ‘say FUCK badboyhalo’ to him.”

  “doesn’t bad always yell language at everyone? shouldn’t i probably not do that?” you had just recently gotten added to the server and even doing certain things for bits made you nervous.

  “you’ll be fine. now get ready.” once bad joined the vc, tommy yelled “HELLO BADBOYHALO.”

  “well, hello to the two of you. how are you both doing?”

  without taking the time to answer you yelled, “BADBOYHALO SAY FUCK!”

  tommy immediately began laughing. bad’s character was running around and you could hear him stuttering until finally shouting “LANGUAGE!”

  “oh come on, bbh. it just adds more impacts to what you’re saying. imagine you were saying ‘i hate that muffinhead skeppy so much’. isn’t it much more impactful when you say ‘i hate that BITCH skeppy so FUCKING much!’?” even though you couldn’t see his facecam, you could tell how much he was smirking.

  “LANGUAGE TOMMY!” bad was screaming and from his voice he seemed to be fuming.

  catching onto what tommy was planning, you started for him, “seriously bad,  what do you have against saying a few curse words? FUCK, SHIT, BITCH, ASS, PUSSY.” you and tommy both began screaming curse words at bad until you heard him scream and leave the vc.

  and for the next few weeks, that was how it went. you two caused chaos all across the server, getting on everyone’s nerves. phil had quickly deemed you ‘chaos gremlins sent to drive him even further into his old age’. at least kristen appreciated the two of you.

  “phil, what are taxes?” tommy had asked phil.

  after hearing him mutter a quick “jesus christ…”, he gave tommy an answer, “pretty much shit you have to pay because the government said to.”

  “and is there any way to pay less taxes? y’know, cheat the system?” tommy was quickly driving phil to old age.

  “well, marriage gives you tax benefits.”

  “ooo!” tommy turned his minecraft character towards you, “marry me! for tax benefits!”

  and so there was a new platonically married couple on the server.

  ranboo had noticed your lack of presence. instead of showing up in his streams, you were usually doing something with tommy. the two of you had even gotten married, the same way he and tubbo had. jealousy, even when irrational, was still a very real and present thing.

  which is what led him to be standing outside your minecraft house, waiting for you to stop talking to tommy for a second and answer his in chat messages. for five whole minutes, he had to deal with chat clowning on him. “chat, i have never been replaced. they simply cannot replace me. there is no way to get rid of me.”

  “you’re like mold!” tubbo had joined ranboo’s vc. his energy heavily contrasted the other’s.

  “...tubbo, how am i like mold?”

  “you’re just constantly growing on people! holding on for dear life until an exterminator is called! do i need to call an exterminator on you?”

  “...no thank you, tubbo.”

  finally, you and tommy had joined vc. “hello ranboo!”

  “hello! what took so long?” the agitation in his voice was barely detectable.

  “oh, tommy here was being pissy. didn’t want to leave vc2.”

  “so tommy was stopping you from talking to your friends?” ranboo clicked his tongue and jokingly said, “seems a bit, uh well, toxic, to me.”

  tommy quickly erupted into screams. “HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF BEING A TOXIC FRIEND?”

  “I WASN’T ACCUSING YOU OF ANYTHING, WAS JUST STATING MY OPINION!” ranboo had started screaming back.

  “IF YOU WANNA SEE TOXIC, I’LL SHOW YOU TOXIC RANBOO.” you could distantly hear an 8 bit version of toxic by britney spears playing from tubbos mic.

  “OH SHUT UP TOMMY, PLEASE, I’VE BEEN FRIENDS WITH THEM FOR LONGER.”

  “BITCH, PLEASE. JUST BECUASE YOU’VE KNOWN THEM LONGER DOES MAKE YOU BETTER FRIENDS. WE’RE MARRIED, WE ARE.”

  and from there, the screaming continued. In-game chat, you could see tubbo telling you to join vc6.

  “crazy, that lot is.”

  “agreed.”

•For Dream, he gets all snuggly and cute with only them be had he keeps them hidden and gives them random cases and riddles from L’ManBurg or anywhere he needs info from and gives them to them.

•for Sam, Dream and Detective had a argument over a case and decided to take a walk, and bumped into Sam and stayed with him for awhile. Two crime busters together!!! 

•Goggy and Detective met because Detective moved out to get more cases because they finished all the ones Dream gave them too fast. 

•BBH and/Or skeppy because of a arguement about Tommy and Detective ran away and Bad Took them because well Dream’s Dangerous and whatever leverage they can get they’ll take. And BBH or Skeppy fell in love 

•Literally just Dream being a loud idiot got them to leave :/ 

•anyways Detective always has such cute nicknames like “my favorite riddle.” Or “How’s my Galaxy?” Really nerdy names

•SapNap: Honestly BBH was the one who tossed a blanket over you two, SapNap can’t stand horror, or crime movies that’s a fact. But y/n loves them so he sucks it up. Ends up probably face into their chest, while they sling an arm lazily over his back running shapes over his back and humming turning down the movie so he can calm down. 

•Skeppy: screams, a lot. Y/n can swear they have bloody ears by the end of it. Refuses to hide though, uses a pillow instead because he’s a “manly man.”  Y/n doesn’t need their 5 degrees to see he’s terrified 🥺

•BBH: He loves horror and crime, sometimes even the Horror is too scary for y/n! So BBH is the pillow this time and they snuggle up into his chest to hide. He’s like a giant stuffie to y/n 

•Wilbur, smokes the whole time even though Detective y/n tells him to quit it. He leans forward to the movie and pays so much attention, ends up helping y/n on some cases saying “well damn not my fault I want cuddles and your work is taking up the time 😐.” And actually really enjoys helping in cases that y/n’s stumped on

•Quackity: was and never will be made for horror, he loves crime though. Always comments how stupid the ideas are from criminals. 

•Foolish: Sweet Bby is so confused why a human would do that to another human. Precious bby boy 🥺y/n and Foolish always  end up watching some Scooby Doo because they don’t have the heart to tell him Humans are just Evil

•AweSamDude: He’s down, all the time, literally it’s a big session on commenting on stupid mistakes and how much they or he would do better. Never watch a movie with those two. 

•Karl Jacobs:  Cried, and screamed. You had to turn it off and play some other movie. Snuggled right up into their chest like a baby. He’s a lot more used to it but still finds it scary. 

•Can’t and Won’t flinch. You could throw a sword at them. Blank bitch face and walks away. 

•”don’t talk to me or my baby boy AGAIN.” -Detective Y/n talking about literally EVERYONE. 

•writes down small details about everyone in a cute way, not a stalker way.

I just wanted to say o love your Bench trio fics! They’re amazing!

I was also wondering if you could do The bench trio X Gn! Hybrid Reader! Where the reader is a Fox hybrid!

The reader likes to play tricks/pranks on people! Especially the Dream Team! And while setting up a prank, the bench trio sees them and asks why they’re doing! The reader tells them and Tommy and Tubbo ask if they can join! Dragging Ranboo into it!

After that they hang out a lot and pull pranks in people! The reader also stealing from The Dream Team and Techno sometimes!

A little thing you can add if you want is that the reader gifts a lot of gifts to their friends! Tommy keeps all the little gifts in a secret chest! Tubbo keeps them in a separate room on his house! And Ranboo writes the things you give him on his memory book and puts them in his ender chest so he never looses them!

ALSO!! The reader would sometimes kidnap Micheal to spend the entire day with him! Spoiling him to no end with Toys, clothes, food, etc! You dont have to add this tho!!

[y/n] smiled mischievously as they rounded the corner, making sure that the unsuspecting victim (which at the moment, is badboyhalo) couldn't see them. they wanted to make sure that their trick worked, so that they could possibly use it on someone else later. of course, they would apologize to bad, because they still value him as a friend, but even friends play pranks on each other every now and again.

their ears perked up as they heard talking from around the corner they just turned. peaking their head around, [y/n] was greeted with some of their closest friends: tommy, tubbo, and ranboo.

"oh, hey guys!" they greeted, with a small wave as they repositioned themself so that they could talk to their friends, and watch bad at the same time.

ranboo smiled. "hey [y/n]!"

tommy and tubbo ran up to them, a wide smile on the latter's face, while tommy just looks like he doesn't want to be here. (obviously he does, but he's tommy. it's not really surprising at this point.) either way, he mutters out a "hello" with a smile he seems to be repressing.

tubbo looks around the corner. "so what are you doing?"

"oh!" [y/n] exclaims, tail swishing ever so slightly faster. "oh! i'm just testing out a new...'trick'!"

ranboo raises an eyebrow in suspicion. "a...'trick'? what are you-"

the fox hybrid holds up a finger, moving their body so that they were hidden around the corner. "shhh. it's about to happen!"

the trio watches [y/n]'s eyes light up as the demon, once dry, is covered in water. they all hear him shout and see him look around, as if to try and catch the culprit. bad glances over at the corner just in time to see [y/n] duck behind it.

"[y/n]!"

"shit." they turn towards the three, and with another smile they stand properly. "sorry guys, gotta blast! nice seeing you, though!"

they hear tommy let out his signature laugh as they run, a nine and a half foot tall demon chasing after you.

placing your arms on the window sill, you begin speaking. "alright, so i have a plan. do you wanna go out for a bit?"

the piglin nods his head eagerly.

you smile. "alright cool. i just need you to climb out this window and then we'll go."

michael looks at you wearily, clutching his plush a little tighter.

"don't worry, mike. it'll be fine. i'll catch you if you fall." you tell him reassuringly.

your ears twitch, picking up some noise from downstairs.

he walks over slowly, still holding onto his plush. carefully, he climbs out the window. picking him up, you slide a note into the room, shut the window, and slide down the roof, landing on the ground without a problem.

you hear a door open from inside and begin walking away, michael squealing excitedly in your arms. it's not long before you hear someone open the window. with a smile, you turn around and wave.

bad glanced around frantically when he was suddenly warped away, mid-conversation with skeppy. around him was a dimly lit room with a dark tone to it all, below him a circle of red, though with all the wrong symbols they probably intended.

one spoke before him, “oh please great one, take this witch’s baby and rid us of our drought, our children are starving and dying of dehydration.” the demon stared at him before slowly taking the baby while speaking, “well- um, this is highly irresponsible, i’ll just take them- and uh, good luck with your drought!”

and with that he was gone, disappeared with the circle closing in. bad was warped back to his exact location from before, where skeppy spun around to stare at him. “bad! what hap-” skeppy paused before shrieking, “why do you have a fucking baby!” his shouting caused the baby to begin crying.

the demon furrowed his unseeable brows, “language skeppy, and look what you did!” bad gently rocked the child back and forth, cooing softly down at them, all while attempting to soften his expression to appear unintimidating. the cries slowly softened, dying down while the baby stared up at bad, eyes wide. when the noise faded the baby raised a hand, poking at bad’s face. a soft smile formed on his expression, temporarily becoming distracted.

skeppy cleared his throat, arms folded. “bad, you have sap to take care of already, and dream for a week or so now, how’re you gonna handle a baby as well as those two?” his brows were furrowed, staring at bad with both concern and mild frustration.

the child’s expression shifted over, before a few giggles left the baby at the sight of skeppy. he froze up in shock, shoulders stiffening. grabby hands were made as bad walked over, “awe, they like you skeppy! and don’t worry i’ll figure out what to do with this little muffin.” bad smiled, watching the baby stare at skeppy in amazement and awe.

his throat cleared, turning his head away with a scoff and a soft ‘whatever’. bad smiled wider before turning around, humming softly while walking home. surely the others would be excited to have a little sibling! right? that’s what he thought anyways, because who could resist this adorable little muffin! bad poked softly at the baby’s cheek while thinking all of this.

the baby giggled loudly, wiggling their arms and legs slightly. “woah there little muffin, try not to fall!” he exclaimed, though he made sure not to be too loud. bad shifted the baby, readjusting his grip on them while the kid cooed back at him.

bad hummed a soft tune to the kid while approaching the house in the woods, pushing the door open with his hip, the lock needed to be fixed anyways. the moment he stepped into the house he heard the two kids talking.

“dreammmm, c’mon!” this was definitely sapnap, “just one more game!” there was a groan that followed sapnap’s pleading. “fine! but i’m hiding this time!” dream’s voice held an undertone of excitement, clearly not as hesitant as he showed.

the demon smiled at the boy’s interaction, “sap! dream! before you go i’d like you both to come here!” clearly they hadn’t heard the door open. the moment bad called sapnap came running around the corner of the front hallway, grinning with his arms up in the air. “dad!” he shouted before skidding to a halt, dream almost crashing into his back, barely keeping himself up by grabbing onto sapnap’s shoulders.

“hey guys, um, i found this little muffin all alone and so i uh, brought them back.” bad smiled, crouching down so the kids could see the baby. sap inched forward, dream peering over his shoulder down at the baby. the baby’s hands rose, making grabbing motions and cooing at the two new kids.

sapnap gasped at the action, slowly putting his hand forward. the baby’s hand curled around one of his fingers, giggling. dream watched with owlish eyes from behind sapnap, who was still staring down at the baby with a look of shock. dad smiled, overjoyed on how the interaction was going.

“is this my new sibling dad?” sapnap glanced up at bad, blinking. the demon’s smile grew softer, “yes they are, this little muffin is your new baby sibling.” he hummed, “do you wanna hold them sappy?”

his eyes flickered back down to the baby briefly, gulping nervously. “can i?” he asked. bad merely nodded, carefully passing the baby over to the seven year old, adjusting sap’s arms so he held the baby correctly.

sapnap stared down at the child, glancing back at dream with a grin. “i’m a big brother! and i’m gonna be a better one than you!” he gloated. dream gasped in mock offense, “no you’re not! i already have tubbo and mama puffy says i’m the best brother!”

the two bickered quieter than normal as bad took the baby back, chuckling at their interaction. this was gonna be an interesting family, wasn’t it?

a sharp cry filled the air, silence came briefly after it. running footsteps came right after the cry as bad opened the door to the house. before he could say anything he heard sapnap speak, “are you okay?” his voice was filled with concern, though it was deeper now, older.

someone sniffled after sapnap asked them that, a softer, younger voice following. “yeah, i’m fine, thanks sap!”

bad smiled, relieved and content. it had been seven years since he’d brought you home, sapnap was fourteen now. he never regretted bringing you back, through all the years of learning you weren’t human just like the rest of them, and to you immediately being accepted into the family.

this is what a family was, and that brought him immense joy.

this has been coming for so long, i was too lazy to write this down, but it just had to be done.

i’m leaving the dsmp fandom.

i’m sorry to those who were waiting for the series to come back, i don’t like this fandom anymore, that means i will not continue the series, zero motivation to finish it really just ended it all. this does not mean i give anyone permission to continue it. the fandom is not it for me anymore, they have new preffered writers, and the like - reblog ratio is beyond me, it’s honestly so unmotivating when i see 9 pictures getting more love than a fic :// honestly, i looked for those pictures for no more than like 5 minutes and wrote that fic for like a week. (yes, i’m being pissy) but like guys lets be real here, if you want writers to stay REBLOG & GIVE UR OPINIONS !!

plus i dont watch any mcyts anymore, they make me cringe.

mcyts were the reason i met so many amazing moots and friends on here, i’ll miss it, but i like to think of this as growing up and moving on !! <3

what does this mean?

BBH’s Prison visit (scene-by-scene)

(To make things easier I’m going to put the timestamp for the END of each scene I talk about)

Very long post warning! This is going to center on Dream so if you aren’t into that don’t click the read more. 

28:46 - Bbh comes up to Dream and even walks past him a bit before Dream turns and starts moving again. This is our first sign of him being spacey. After he says hello he takes a deep breath. This sounds like the type of breath you take to calm down. 

29:14 - We can hear how Dream’s voice is different even from the last time we heard him. To make sure I checked Tommy’s vod and it is completely different. He speaks slower, with more spaces, less enunciation, sometimes there’s a slight slurr to his voice. Bbh asks how he’s doing and he replies and goes to spin his clock. I don’t know how intentional this is but BBH asks what he’s doing and Dream stops and looks at the floor instead of at BBH. 

29:33 - Bbh asks if spinning his clock is what Dream does in his free time and Dream says yes. He used to write but he burned a lot of his books. He doesn’t say why. We can assume based off what he said he doesn’t write anymore. That means all he has to do is spin his clock round and round. After BBH opens the chest 6 spaces are empty. One book is on the lectern. He assumedly burnt all the books Tommy made him write. Why? He never elabirates on this so we don’t know

29:52 - Bbh asks if Dream likes it in here and Dream takes almost 3 seconds to respond. He describes it as “really good”. Before while bbh is talking about the cell he doesn’t say anything. He looks at the lava but doesn’t move towards it.

30:11 - Dream talks about how he gets potatoes :] But they’re raw :[. He goes close to the lava but comes back to talk to bad. Also whenever he walks he runs. Dream is notoriously very active, he bounces around he can’t do that in the cell so instead he runs from place to place. “he said he- I tried to get out and so he made it so I couldn’t have visitors for a few days but” He completely drops the potatoes conversation to say that then drops this conversation. 

30:47 - Bbh tells Dream that he’s done bad things that got him in there. Dream doesn’t argue he simply repeats “that’s true”. He also says he gets to “think and think and think... and play with my clock”. In that sentence he looks at the damage pot dispenser then plays with his clock. 

31:36 -  When Bbh asks if Dream wants to hear what’s going on outside he perks up somewhat and asks how George and Sapnap are doing. He remarks after bbh says they probably miss that they haven’t visited him. He then makes a reason for it because there were a few days he couldn’t get visitors. Bbh accidentally rubs in that they haven’t come by at all and Dream goes and spins his clock for 31:24 - 31:33. He says nothing in this time, then he asks what’s happening outside. 

32:41 - While bbh talks about that’s going on outside Dream spins his clock, he stops to chuckle at what Tommy’s up to. Bad says he’s sure a lot of people miss Dream while Dream is turned around and Dream snaps to attention looking at bad. He laughs at Techno “still doing the whole anarchy thing” then asks for a 3rd time what is happening outside. He goes back to spinning his clock while Bbh talks. At this point it’s very obvious how much Dream uses the clock. It’s like he relies on it. 

33:28 - Bbh talks to Dream about  the egg. He simply says “I remember the egg” and “that’s intresting” before going back and spinning his clock. “I don’t really have anything else other than the clock”. That’s sadly true. As far as he knows everyone hates him, he’s lost everything. The only thing he has left is his clock. Bbh asks if he’s named it and he has but he doesn't want too say the name. Instead of that he just keeps spinning it.

34:29 - Dream takes out at book and starts writing in it. Bbh asks what he’s writing but Dream doesn't reply simply giving bad the completed book. It’s titled “thank you!” and the inside says “thank you for visiting me badboyhalo!” Dream tells bad he won’t be able to take it out. Bbh says that once Dream gets out he can take it with him. Dream doesn't reply and spins his clock. If you haven’t noticed how much he uses this clock you’re blind. He says that his sentence is forever when bad asks. “Forevers not that long” Way to rub it in bad. At least Dream chuckles a little.

35:40 - Bad tells him he likes what he’s done with the place before realizing how that sounds. Dream moves his clock to the other side of the room. “I like to watch it and then when it hits halfway *pause* then *pause* then I’m happy”. Note that in this chunk Dream is particularly bad at replying to bbh. They watch the clock move together. Dream says that it was “awesome” he seems to not have been the biggest fan of redecotaring because he moves his clock back to it’s original location. 

36:43 - Dream makes a sound like when you are sad and have to take a breath before you start crying. He says that he doesn’t know what else he’s supposed to do. Bad mentions that Dream has a heat source. From that we can assume that Dream’s tiny prison is pretty darn hot. He also asks how long he’e been in there suggesting that he has lost track of time. That’s pretty common in people who are in solitary confinement. Bad gives a timeline of a few weeks to 2 weeks. For reference the United Nations says solitary confinement for more than 15 days is torture. 

37:20 - Bad asks who’s come and visit Dream, Dream says only Tommy and bbh is surprised. Dream remarks that “he’s the only one actually, until you” and goes to stand close to the lava. He goes close to it a second time while he justifies no one visiting by saying there’s limited visiting hours and overtime more people will (come visit). 

38:18 - Dream tells bbh about the #epic prank he does on Sam where he burns his clock so he can see Sam and say hi. The clock that he’s spent most of his visit spinning. So he can see someone else. I wonder if Sam decided not to give Dream another clock what else he would do to get Sam to visit. Bbh asks if he gets in trouble for burning his clock and Dream says sometimes he gets less potatoes. 

"oh so he starves you"

 "no I'm not s- I dunno- I wouldn't say I'm starving but-" 

"you have 3 square meals a day?" 

"........... i have potatoes"

The concerning parts are how much he stumbles over his words and the I wouldn’t say I’m starving. What would you say you are then? 

39:38 - Dream chuckles and throws his clock into lava. It’s gone now. Let’s see if he acts any different. Dream moves around a bunch while talking about what will happen later, you can hear his chuckle and smile at his ‘prank’. Dream tells bad that Sam is going to make a system so that the potatoes are dropped in so he doesn't have to see him to give him potatoes. Bbh says that he should keep sam from doing it because doesn’t it brighten his day? Dream admits it does but everything here is automated so it’ll make it better. Bbh asks if awesamdude treats Dream well and Dream says he does while he keeps glancing at the lava.

40:28 - Dream sniffles and tells bbh that it’s fine in here. He has his clock and his book and,,, he’s happy in here...right? He finishes off that sentence by sniffling and clearing his throat. All signs point to him not being happy in here. Where before he would spin his clock now he,,,, tries not to cry. Bbh asks if he’s allowed to have anything else, Dream tells him he can ask. While bbh talks about how maybe he could get a potted plant he sniffles again. Dream is obviously upset but he does as Dream does and says he’s okay and things are fine. 

42:00 - Bbh asks who Dream wants to come visit him, he says that he wants george and sapnap to come visit him. Bbh accidentally makes it sound like they don’t want to visit Dream, he says that they probably just need to be reminded that Dream is available for visitors. Dream takes 4 seconds to reply and it’s just a sad “yea”. Bbh tells him to look on the bright side and Dream just looks at the floor. I think that he knows that George and Sapnap don’t like/hate him. He also takes awhile to reply to Bbh saying that he’s been on good behavior right? If that’s because he hasn’t or because Sam’s idea of good behavior is hard for Dream we don’t know. 

42:51 - Dream throws himself into lava and Bbh reacts with horror yelling at him what is he doing? He says that sometimes he swims in there. What exactly made him decide to swim in the lava? Maybe him remembering how he he lost his friends, maybe him realizing he’ll never be free, maybe he was bored? We don’t know. What we do know is in this cell healthy coping mechanisms do not exist. They aren’t allowed to exist by nature of it. He tells bab that going into the lava keeps him entertained and sometimes he likes to set himself on fire with it. He demonstrates this and while bad asks if it’s a prank he just chuckles. This demonstrates how in the cell he’s willing to put himself physically into harms way for any more stimulation. It’s sad honestly. 

44:12 - Dream says that bbh’s time is probably almost up and thanks him for visiting him. Bbh says he wants to get Dream a pet and improve his living conditions. Dream talks about how long it takes to break a block, he once sat there for over 20 minutes with basically no progress. He helped design the prison and knows that if he broke a block the guard would be teleported in (and kill him). He realizes if bbh becomes a guard it could be a way to get him to come visit him :D he’ll simply punch a block for hours until it breaks so the people tasked to kill him can be there. Dream is desperate for human contact. He realizes that would make awesam really mad and he doesn’t want to do that. 

44:35 - Bbh says maybe he can get his sentence commuted from forever to 10 or 20 years. Dream says he’d like that if he has good behavior. I can’t help but feel noones idea of good behavior is lining up. Sam wants to think and see Dream as little as possible. Dream, I don’t know what Dream considers good behavior. Bbh sees good behavior as not trying to escape or messing with anything. Bbh says he doesn't wanna get Dream’s hopes but but Dream should look in the bright side. Dream sniffles and clears his throat. As this goes on it gets harder for him to not cry it seems. Bad tells Dream to look on the bright side and Dream says alright in a way that obviously suggests he wont. 

45:43 - Bad says that he’ll come visit Dream again really soon. He says he’ll bring George and Sapnap, Dream reminds him only 1 person can visit at a time. Bad says then he’ll schedule for them to visit. Bbh alost saays that they need to visit their friend but instead says they need to visit you (Dream) instead. From Dream’s POV this celents that they don’t care for him anymore. Bbh ends his visit and Dream somehow sounds more dejected than ever. 

50:42 - Sam while HOLDING a clock says that he might not give Dream a new clock. It also doesn’t matter whether Dream knows if it’s daytime or not. Bbh seems to have picked up how important the clock is to Dream. Sam also asks if Dream “said anything(????)” while he was in there. He also says that Dream swims in a lot a lot and usually he just wants attention. Sam also says with the way Dream has been acting that he probably won’t get his sentence commuted.

 Overall very concerning! From the way Dream relied on an inanimate object and the moment it was he started sniffling, to how he talked and sounded different, to how he swims in lava and sets himself on fire for fun, to how he’s starved if he misbehaves, to how he was spaced out and slow to respond. This all paints a picture of someone not doing well but pretending he isn’t. If he were to not get a new clock, and sam installs the automated potatoes machine I feel like he would get worse much faster. Unless bbh gets on that prison reform fast it’s not looking good for him. Not even getting on how the warden of the prison hates his guts.
