So I can’t remember the exact date that The Nobleman’s Guide to Scandal and Shipwrecks was supposed to come out before it got delayed again, but I think it was around now, so here. To mark the occasion, here is what started out as a list of predictions but is now basically a fic by itself:

⚓️ maybe the mother is going to get a name??

⚓️ it sounds as if we’re going to find out a bit more about her as a character, which I’m looking forward to

⚓️ I hope we get to see how she was affected by Monty and Felicity running away

⚓️ Like she was always protective of Adrian, never wanted to let him out of her sight, and he always thought it was because he was ill, or because they waited so long for him (if he thought he was an only child when his parents had already been married for at least 18 years when he was born, they probably told him they thought they couldn’t have children and he was a miracle surprise after they waited so many years or something)

⚓️ but now he wonders, how afraid was she of losing him too?

⚓️ Adrian’s fiancée is going to be an absolute badass. Like it sounds as if she isn’t in the story so much so there’s no need for her to be complex or anything, she can just be straightforwardly the coolest person you’ve ever met

⚓️ I hope we get to end on a wedding lol

⚓️ or seeing as the last 2 books ended on letters, maybe it will be a letter to her?

⚓️ or maybe another “fuck you” letter to Henry Sr

⚓️ the synopsis makes it sound as if Felicity isn’t in it, but...she had better be??? Or Mackenzi Lee can catch these hands 😝

⚓️like I hope we get a scene where Monty and Felicity are having Sibling Bants™️ and Adrian is going to watch and just sort of....Ache

⚓️ cause how much would he have liked to have grown up with siblings?

⚓️ he and Monty are definitely gonna fall out over it at one point. Like they left him alone, knowing how bad their father was, and caused their parents so much pain

⚓️ I think Henry Sr didn’t treat Adrian as badly as he did Monty (he tried it once. His wife made it clear that if he raised his hand to her one remaining child ever again, he would lose it)

⚓️ so Adrian doesn’t know why Monty had to leave, and this is where Monty tells him

⚓️ Monty is going to instinctively call Adrian “Goblin” the first time they meet and Adrian is going to be like ???

⚓️ it’s particularly ironic when Monty has to look almost straight up to face him

⚓️ Monty is going to be EXTREMELY dramatic about that

⚓️ “are you sure you’re my brother?” Adrian: *dimples* Monty: “ah fuck”

⚓️ this is such a weirdly specific prediction, but I think Adrian is going to meet Percy first

⚓️ also if we go all the way to Barbados and DON’T find out about Percy’s mother, I will scream

⚓️she’s going to be epileptic like him and that will make them known to each other??

⚓️ OR maybe she’ll know him by the violin

⚓️ or both, no reason why not

⚓️ but Percy is definitely going to be an eminent musician by now

⚓️ and felicity is a well-established scientist/doctor

⚓️ I really hope we get to see Scipio and crew again???

⚓️ GROWN UP KING GEORGE

⚓️ are we gonna see Sim?? Or Johanna? If so we’re getting one pirate queen and one scientist with a brood of unruly scientist children

⚓️ I’m sorry, but if this is going to be the last book, I kind of want to know what became of Sinjon Westfall. Like I know he’s a non-character, but. I hope he found love. And didn’t get in as much trouble as Monty did for his affair with another boy.
