Do you remember how I said I won't be watching s3? Yes, I'm a lying liar through and through lol my sister said let's watch it and I love watching movies or TV shows with her, and tbh we had a good laugh😭💀

Okay so here are my thoughts:

First of all: KATE AND ANTHONY. Omg they're everything to me!! They were only in one episode but they made that episode theirs. I just love seeing them blissfully happy and living in their own bubble. I'm both sad and glad they were only in one episode. Because I wouldn't put it past the writers to give them some unnecessary drama and conflict. At the same time their screen time was so little... I suppose we can't have it all :')

Francesca. Omg I love her so much. I already loved her from the books but the show? God, she's so cute and beautiful. Hannah played her to perfection and I'm glad she's the new Francesca. Even when you read the books, that's how you imagine Fran's character. Both she and Kate have a special place in my heart.

John... my god John is here. And I'm already too attached to him. I can't- Listen, I know my heart will break when his time comes. The actor was such a good choice for his character and I was on the verge of crying whenever he appeared with Fran. She was always so happy to see him. I never thought two characters/actors could have this much chemistry while sitting in silence. GOD I LOVE THEM and I'm ready for heartbreak :D We still have no Michael but I'll keep hoping for him to appear because my god... Francesca's book is filled with angst I just hope when it's her turn, they do it justice<3

I actually enjoyed Eloise and Cressida. I never thought I'd say this but I did!! I know they made 180 changes about her character in the new season but I don't really care lol I just hope she works it out with Debling so at least she'll be free from her parents.

People keep saying they don't like Eloise this season but she's so much better than me. I would've been so much worse... The first thing I would've done was give Pen's name to the queen but she kept it this whole time and was actually worried about Pen... she was kind enough to a person who ruined her and her family, not once but twice.

There are too many side plots in this season. Like I don't want to be pathetic but we've been saying that since s2 and y'all called us delusional and said to be grateful because it was more than enough. But now that I see even Polin fans have a problem with this season makes me so happy and sad at the same time. Because when this happened to your favs, it's a real issue...

I love LD and QC friendship so much!! And QC & Brimsly. These friendships were more shaped since QC spin-off and I really enjoyed it.

It's obvious to me that they don't know what to do with Ben's plot lol. Because creating these unnecessary original characters is doing a disadvantage to the whole show. I really hope we see Sophie this season. 

Okay I've avoided the inevitable as much as I could lol so let's talk about the main couple:

They have no chemistry. I know some might not agree with me but there's no chemistry for me. It has always been like this since s1. At least I don't feel anything special between them. Nicola is a wonderful actor and is carrying the whole ship on her shoulders and I said what I said. 

Luke wasn't good at portraying Colin at all. He has no charisma and is trying too hard. I'm not talking about his character wanting to be something he's not but talking about the acting in general, so don't come for me with that argument. They really tried to make him like Anthony but failed miserably. Which is sad because even tho I haven't read their book, he in other books was absolutely my favorite side character. Me and my sister were laughing our asses off at some of his actings like sir... pls don't😭 I'm being super mean omg

The pacing of their relationship was weird. When he proposed to her I was so shocked like in episode 4? Already? Then I remembered in s1 we had the same situation but in s1 it felt right. It wasn't weird or felt too soon or too late, it was right. With Polin, everything felt out of order. I think they didn't want to focus much on building it up because they felt they already did in the past 2 seasons but it just felt off in the end. They weren't even together much on screen to feel like it's building up!! There was no arc or if it was, it was too subtle that if you blink you'll miss it.

The other problem with their plot was the similarity between s1 and s3. Simon was trying to help Daphne to find a husband and Colin is doing the same thing. Except s1 main trope was Fake Dating and s3 was Friends to Lover.

Which brings me to another reason why I didn't like s3. Friends to Lovers trope. Honestly, this is a me problem. I've never liked this trope at all. I really tried to change my mind about it, like reading books with this trope but most of the time I'm left unsatisfied or hating the book. Unfortunately, s3 was no different. This trope always comes off as unpassionate for me. Which I think it's the trope. Because it's supposed to be cute and subtle and I'm not sure it's really my thing. So I guess the major reason for my dislike of this season is the trope.

There were 2 fkn scenes of Colin participating in a threesome... That was so fkn bad like I can't believe this just happened. And one of them was after he kissed Penelope... I don't care that he didn't continue but... OUGH it gave the ick so bad, I didn't even watch it,  just fast-forwarded it.

That carriage scene was okay-ish? It didn't leave me breathless like the Kanthony scenes did. Tbh s2 left me in a shamble with how much emotions I felt with those two. But with s3, I had the exact opposite feeling toward the main couple.

Anyway, I think this season, revealing LW's identity was their priority which is why they weren't so focused on the romance (?) idk but I feel like part 2 won't be any different than part 1 and they're gonna throw some sex scenes to make it up for the romance lol

ps: I know I said s4 will be Benedict's and I still think it will be but if they decide to make it Francesca's? Oh, I wouldn't mind at all!!

Bridgerton Season 3 Review

Ok I sat on it for 24 hours. Watched the episodes about 4 times through...I won't say how many times I've watched the carriage scene because it is an obscene amount of times! So we'll skip that. Either way I'm more focused on the fact I LOVED so much that I don't hate much. in fact why oh why is everyone so focused on parts they hate? I love what we were given in 4 episodes. I wish we could have 22 episodes, but alas we were not so I will cherish what I have. But I guess that's not what I'm here to talk about.

I'll start with the part that EVERYONE seems focused on...

Things I didn't like. (cause damn is anyone ever happy anymore?)

Too many subplots! damn...it was all over the place for a while. While I like the Mondrich's I tired of them quickly. It felt like there was too much of it. And I just didn't need to keep going back to it. Yes you're in society, no you don't want to be. Ok I get it.

Split season - I hate this format. I thought it would be good to have a break in between and I’m cursing it because it ruins the flow and I don’t ever want to do this again! Part 2 YOU MUST MAKE HASTE

But yes that's all I hated.....I said there wasn't a lot. Because I truly didn't hate this season!

Things I didn’t love or hate

Fran – I haven’t read her book so I was taken by her story with John. They were sweet. It took me a moment to get into what was going on. I loved her scene with Pen. I like that she was nervous and unsure where to go or what to do and that John was a serene moment for her. It seems sweet but again…a subplot that felt like it was taking up too much time in this season that needed its own season to ruminate on.

Ben – color me still confused on what they are doing with Ben’s story. I am still waiting for them to figure it out. I love Ben, I love his sweet nature and his giddiness but I am still not sure what they are trying to do with him and again, wasn’t sure what was going on.

Debling – Ok so why is he here. Well quite simply because I didn’t hate him. He wasn’t awful. He was very nice and lovely to Pen. I was very happy when she finally told him she didn’t like grass. That line alone was adorable. But the part I didn’t love was in the pieces where he was going away for 3 years, and he expected her to be there to take care of his home and yet have no other attachments, and no love. He quite clearly told her he had no space for love. He had many other things and was a busy man, so love was not really on his agenda. Yet he expected her to remove that from her life and have no attachments. I am happy he released her because he knew she had an attachment already and couldn’t be a woman with none, but I thought that was pretty harsh to expect a lonely woman. So to me Colin was right, he was too particular.

Things I thought worked well!

Sending Kate and Anthony on Honeymoon – I get it. Everyone wants to see them, but I felt they needed to go because the space was already crowded enough with everyone else’s stories, so to set up the season, something needed to go.

Surprisingly Cressida and Eloise – It gave some depth to Cressida I wasn’t expecting. I still hate her, do NOT get me wrong. It gave depth and I felt sorry for her but damn she’s still gross and not my cup of tea. She’s still out to get Pen at every turn and she’s quick to be evil regardless of knowing better. Evil parents be damned, I don’t care for her. I did looove how she turned the gossip piece on El when she wasn’t the one who spoiled the news about Pen/Colin and it was actually El who did it. I thought that was a great learning moment for El.

The Brothel scenes – I KNOW I KNOW! Shoot me, tar me, boil me. Whatever, fandom curse on me. I thought they worked and were needed. I felt they did a great job with Colin and showing that he went away to become this society man or what society expected of him. His fa��ade that he pushed and portrayed demanded him to play this part and he played it well. And it ate at him. And the two scenes could not have been more different if they had tried. It was a turning point, the breaking point in his armor and they did a great job with it.

Cocky Colin/Colin with his Buddies Scene - I know many hated this Colin, but I love this facade he played with because it wasn't our Colin and we were supposed to see that, because we didn't get our Colin until he was with Pen more. That was the whole damn point. But I truly loved the scene with Colin and the assholes at the bar. Where he so clearly called them out and realized that the whole charade was simply that and what was the entire point, because he couldn't find it anymore. Kudos to Luke, it was a great scene and the period was added when he shunned them at the Queen's ball.

Violet/Colin Staircase Moment – Really great moment between mother and son. The whole time I kept saying, damn is anyone going to notice that Colin is spiraling. Mom is really focused on her daughter, but no one seems to notice that Colin is a mess. Colin points out to El that Pen has no father to guide her, well neither does Colin! Another point of showing that Pen really is his anchor and without that he is adrift. But this scene was beautifully done as she finally called out to him and sent him in the right direction.

Colin’s change after the kiss – This was really before Debling was in the picture. He was really there following her like a lost puppy from the start, but any suitor he was very interested in how she felt about them but his interest started to change after the kiss. The scene under the tree was very nervous energy, very off his Axis from what we had scene from his bravado in any other scene so far and this was from ONE KISS. He was Colin again.

Eloise – Oh how I was so back and forth with my tears between Pen and El and Colin. My God my heartstrings. I was angry then sad then torn. I don’t know how I’m going to feel in episode 5. Am I angry, excited, freaking terrified at what is coming next. Probably all of the above. But they really played with our emotions and I’m just not sure how I feel yet so more to come on this.

Things I adored!!

Chaos Colin – Bribing a maid for alone time at night, sneaking off with head nods at balls, meeting under the shade of a tree, sneaking off to the drawing room to set up a pretend ball, flirting with your bestie at the market while recounting your first meeting, chasing after her everywhere she goes, eye fucking her in front of the entire ballroom while trying to get your damn thoughts to catch up, fucking interrupting a goddamn dance to tell her not to marry someone, chasing a carriage down in the middle of the Queens ball to make sure she didn’t get married, ravaging her like the Queen she was in the carriage, and then damn proposing like a madman! I mean….I’ll take that every day!

Penelope Fucking Featherington You Queen– Our pining came from the Bridgerton side this year, not Penelope. For most of this season, she stood her ground, she had her purpose and she went for her plan and stuck to it. She has been in love with Colin Bridgerton since she graced our screen and he was staring her down like a madman and she stayed her course. You go girl!

The Featheringtons– Most of my fun came from their scenes. I could have peed myself when they asked what got inserted. But their scenes were hilarious, and I truly enjoyed the comedy they added. I am anxiously awaiting the Colin/Portia scene in Part 2 because Mama has got hers coming. I was up and down with her and ready to beat her by end of episode 4. I cannot wait to see where this goes.

The Carriage Scene – Did you really think it would not be on here? Because hot holy damn. Nicola winning the battle to touch his hair was so important because Pen did in the book, and it set off fireworks. Did you see the way he watched her like he was marveling at her reaction. Like it was air just to see what he was doing to her. I mean if you’ve read the book you know he likes that and it’s something he quite enjoys, well show Colin enjoys it too, that and biting her lip. But the laughing after…that’s where I live now. That was Pen and Colin and everything I wanted to see. It was perfection! And his face after, his resolve to marry her, Luke put that all out there in 5 seconds, you could see him walk through that decision in his head and then the line was delivered masterfully and here we are now needing to sit for a month to wait to see what fresh hell and heaven await.

And I AM READY FOR IT!

silveredge is just the ship name for gin x fell! it was just the name that came naturally and i felt fit them :)

silverware specifically was because me and my friends were joking around that "lol cross has knives. gink cutlery animatic. silverware, get it?" and there it is LOL

the names for the ship kids (im assuming sterling and rust specifically) was just because i thought it fit them and the ship :p

Just saw bridgerton s4 might not be out till Aug 2026. Do you think with how long it takes between seasons for shows these days changes fandom culture?

August? Geez, show, why such a long post production?

Oh, 100% yes.

There is something incredibly unique about watching a show week to week. It gives fans a chance to digest things in pieces. For people to speculate and write fic and talk and there's something exciting about having a /thing/ to do day to day.

It also makes the wait for the next season a little easier.

But I mean - let's look at Stranger Things -- which was a huge phenomenon. And, while I'm sure with the final season coming out, it'll be well watched, and probably be number one in netflix numbers again, once every one does? The show will kind of die out. No one really thinks about Stranger Things except for the small window that Stranger Things is on and culturally relevant.

And (unfortunately) Bridgerton will be the same way. I'm kind of surprised, actually, that there so many people still here and wanting to discuss the show (I figured it'd drop off a lot around July - and it did, but there are still so many people! Which is great!).

I think Bridgerton's anthology aspect is a double edged sword. It might be easier for the general audience, who doesn't feel like they have to really pick up things from the previous seasons, and just enjoy the next love story. (Kind of like books!) But, I don't know if the interest will be there in ten years, which would be how long it'd take to get to Season 8.

[I honestly don't see Netflix holding it that long. The numbers on the show are strong, and Season 3 specifically were strong, but the minute those numbers dip, Netflix is pulling the plug. If they were smart, they'd combine Fran and Eloise's stories to 5 and Greg and Hy's in 6 and tie it up while people are still interested -- though I do know the show runner already said they weren't going to do that, so... Sorry youngest Bridgeys, you probably won't be getting your story told.]

But I mean, I ultimately don't know. I wasn't in fandom since the beginning, I don't know the cycles (yet). And Polin is unique in that it's a ship that's been around since the beginning and has a story moving forward, so there's a little more to chew on. But I guess we'll see.

Frans, Frisk x Sans: Ah yes, the most popular of the fandom and probably more adored than Alphyne... Now my ranking is an 2/10. My reason? First Frisk is an child, its been hinted alot in the game, their sprite and their official art already looks child like. Sans is somewhere around his 30s and its already weird enough... And aging them up to ship them with Sans??? No thank you please. And plus it isn't the worst that I've seen in this fandom so good for you Frans.

Chans, Chara x Sans: Same reason as Frans 2/10

Papyryne, Papyrus x Undyne: Their friends guys, FRIENDS. Its kinda cute I gotta admit but really their just good friends nothing more than that. 3/10

Muffet x Grillby ( idk their ship name ) I see the concept but won't Grillby might accidently burn the spiders? 5/10

Grillby x Sans ( also dont know their ship name ) I like the concept and it does makes sense to me. 6/10

Charisk, Chara x Frisk: I do believe in the narra chara theory buuut I really see them as friends and really I don't feel anything about them being together.. Its really a no. 3/10

Charsriel, Chara x Asriel: I KNOW THEIR ADOPTED BUT NO, JUST NO. TOMATO POTATO SIBILINGS ARE SIBLINGS DINGUS. 0/10

Asgoriel, Asgore x Toriel: I used to ship them together but now I'm kinda iffy since Toriel has her boundaries and I respect that. If they will have some romantic interactions or if she's ok with him then hell yeah I'll ship them but for now its a no. 5/10

Soriel, Sans x Toriel: Controversial opinion, but I kinda like it y'know. Sans was there for her when she needed it the most, their pun buddies and at one of the neutral endings they became roommates so thats cute. I personally see them as friends but its a cute ship. 7/10

Grillster Grillby x Gaster: uhhh they never met but, the fanfics are good and I really like seeing them interacting with each other y'know. but still 2/10

Papyton, Papyrus x Mettaton: Like the concept but no 4/10

Blookyton, Nabstablook x Mettaton: They might be cousins just saying... 0/10

Friskriel, Frisk x Asriel: I know they saved him in pacifist but no. 2/10

The royal guards, 01 and 02: Their seriously underrated like why does nobody talk about these two??? WHY????? 100/10

Alphyne, Undyne x Alphys: I've been saving these two for the last. 100/10 do I even need to explain myself?

But... there are a few things i'm gonna point out... it's not "in order" not that we're losing anything but there is a key thing to remember here...

there is a timeline and ages of the siblings...

Fran's book... book 6... starts in and around the same time as Benophie's story in 1817... so logic dictates that we will start to see more of that early... which moves her story out of order...

there are things that happen in book 5 (Eloise's) that happen in the 7 year gap between Ben and Colin's story...

Books 4/5/6 all happen at around about the same time and have things that start to happen earlier...

I think... what Shonda means and this is purely speculation... given what I know about S2 and the ending of Season 2, which I am not sharing as this blog is a spoiler free zone...

Whilst Ben and Sophie may be the "main focus" i don't think we will get a full season of just them, much like a lot of the side plots happen in this season, we will see John and Fran be introduced, we will see (I hope) LW redemption arc... (i'm hoping this is something to do with Sophie) but i think we might see a lot more crossovers.

We will see some married life of the married siblings who come back (JB and SA i'm looking at you!) i think, Shonda and Netflix have realised they can't do a "A BOOK A SEASON" because it won't work... 4/5/6 would get far too messy... so they're breaking it up and moving them around and starting early or... maybe starting late.

I can't see the whole LW reveal coming in season 4... because it's too big a thing... so i wouldn't be surprised if we see that dragged through to Season 6...

I know enough to have faith that the next couple will be Ben and Sophie but I do not think it will be just them. Don't be surprised if we see Ben and Fran taking centre stage a bit more in S3.

they're not going to tell us before Season 2 is actually released. they're going to keep us on tenterhooks and let us know in early April. the cast don't know but they will have an idea...

pre-production has started, we will know... they like to tease and torment, we didn't know we were getting Season 2 last time around so they didn't have to deal with this... because if they said "Yes Benedict is next... with a bit of Fran..." the next questions would be

"Who is Sophie?"

"where is sophie?"

"who is john?"

"where is he?

"are we going to see michael?"

"who is playing michael?"

which detracts from season 2

whereas by waiting and then saying this is what we are doing...

then going into filming they can play it coy, they have it more under control...

so guys... have patience... we've waited for season 2. try and enjoy it... i know i'm going to... and then if come Easter i've not heard anything about season 3... then i might start to panic...

The IRR Pt. 3

[Last we saw if the leaders of the IRR they had been attacked and captured by the denizens of this universe only to find they shared a common foe. After some discussion a terrifying truth had presented itself, Limon had been in this world for months. With this news an alliance was firmed and preparations for what's to come began. Whether this alliance lasts or topples is yet to be seen]

"The tales you tell of this man are... horrific. Using his fellow man to further himself in such a horrific display..." Saturn said, his voice shaky. Maxie nodded his head solemnly.

"When I left my world he had been locked away with the key thrown out. I told them he'd escape... they didn't listen. Damn fools." Maxie uttered with a growl. Giovanni watched them talk and hummed to himself. None one ounce of this sounding good. He scratched his arm and took another look around the futuristic chapel they were in... something was telling him something bad would happen real soon...

He shook himself out of his thoughts and looked back to Saturn. "Has anyone seen Limon? Know where he's hiding out? We might be able to prevent a disaster if we do." Giovanni was hoping that they had something, but Saturn shaking his head no washed that hope away.

"Any time anyone catches a glimpse of him below he always seems to dissappear or our soldiers get attacked by some demon of his. We've covered almost the whole region, so we hope to find his base of operations soon." The old priest explained. He sighed and scratched the side of his chin. He had everything he needed as of now.

"Oh, yes, before I forget. Here. This will allow you to contact any of the high preists. You've met me, but there's also Sisters Mars and Jupiter. You may depart if you wish." Saturn said as he handed Giovanni a small disk. It looked like a CD but instead of a hole in the middle there was a button. He just had to assume that it was some super advanced holograph technology that no one in the IRR could grasp.

He nodded and motioned for Maxie to follow him. The two exited the chapel as Giovanni pocketed the disk and called out mewtwo so it could take them home. By the time they had returned the staff was already running around doing various jobs such as repairing the ship, aiding the wounded, and upping security tenfold. All squads that were out on patrol were called back and patrol ships piloted by A.I were sent out to protect the ship. It wasn't long before the whole base was effectively on total lockdown.

Fran was holding himself in the cafeteria. It was one of the few areas of the ship that was open to all personel. He was absent-mindedly scrolling through his phone as smeargle ate next to him. He jolted as he heart footsteps behind him but turned to see it was just Cyrus. That realization gave him some security. He rested his arms on the table.

"H-Hey Cyrus..." Fran spoke softly. Cyrus sat at the opposite side of the table and watched Fran. He'd been very anxious lately and as much as Cyrus would try and deny it he was concerned. He tapped the table rhythmically for a moment before speaking up.

"Alright. What's on your mind?" Cyrus asked. Fran took a moment to respond but when he finally did it started with a sigh.

"Its... probably the same th-tjing everyone else is saying. Limon co-could show up at any point. I-If hes as strong as Maxie says he'd have no pro-probably with us..." Fran explained. Cyrus nodded. Fran was right, he'd heard this 1,000 times already. The concern was valid but he'd gotten tired of hearing it. He hummed and leaned against the table.

"Eh. Probably. I mean, he stood up to me and lived. So..."

"Thanks Cyrus... very reassuring..."

Cyrus chuckled. Yeah, that was kinda the point there, Fran. He shook his head and leaned back, looking Fran in the eye.

"I'm pulling your leg. Well be fine. Unless he's got some scummy trick up his sleeve he won't crack us." Cyrus said surprisiny confidently.

"You sound s-so sure. I can o-only hope you're right..."

"I know I'm right."

Summary: You knew acting on Stranger Things season 3 would be a challenge, and you also knew, from the start, you'd have to work closely with Dacre Montgomery. But is wasn't a big deal for you, since this is your job and you're determined to act professionally. You had it all figured out, or so you thought, until the moment you were out face to face with Dacre. Then, this job became a lot harder than it was supposed to be, since you can't seem to focus whenever you're around Dacre. And you'll have to be around him a lot until the end of production.

Feelings

On the next morning, you make your way to the back of the hotel, where a van will come to pick you up. You're talking to Vicky through the phone, listening to her advice and tips for today. She won't be around as much this time, she wants you to build your own connections, but she will be aware of everything that's going on. The co-stars you'll be working with today are a few feet ahead, chatting, and they haven't noticed you yet. You don't mind though. They've been acting together for two years now, you wouldn't have anything to add to their conversations anyway.

“(Y/N).” The voice makes you turn around, seeing Dacre as he walks over you. “Morning.”

“Vicky, I gotta go. Talk to you later. Bye.” Quickly, maybe too quick, you hang up, focusing on Dacre. “Hi. Good morning.” Nervously, you gesture at the others. “You should go stay with them. The van is almost here.”

“I'll introduce you to them, c'mon.” With a hand on the small of your back, barely touching you though, he guides you to the small group of people. “Hey, guys. Good morning. This is (Y/N), our Amy.”

“Hi there,” Joe says, reaching out his hand which you shake. “I'm Joe.”

“Natalia.” One of the girls says. You already know their names, but decide to let them formally introduce themselves. “These are Charlie and Francesca. But you can call her Fran.”

“Hello.” You mutter, shaking their hands before stepping back to stand beside Dacre.

“Heard you two shot together yesterday,” Joe says, typing something on his phone before putting it on his pocket. “I was there earlier but I think I left before you got there.”

“Yes. And I must say (Y/N) was amazing.” Dacre speaks before you can, and you blush at his compliment. You didn't do much, you think, it was just a simple scene. More complicated things will come.

“Thanks, but you were great too. I'm just trying to keep up.”

“It's good to see you're modest,” Francesca remarks, giving you a small smile.

“Just saying the truth.” You're still speaking when the van arrives, and the guys gesture for the girls to get in first.

You move to the back of the van since it's always been your favorite seat, resting the script on your lap before buckling up.

“May I seat here?” Dacre gets your attention, and you look away from the window, meeting his eyes.

“Sure.” You don't want him to feel like he has to be around you just because he was the first person you met from the show. But you won't just push him away like that. “Did you sleep well?”

“I managed.” He answers. “You?”

“I did.” Once again, you fall into silence. There isn't much you can talk about other than work. “Excited about today? Amy and Billy will have another confrontation.”

“Poor Billy. Amy's going to steal his heart.” He puts a hand over his chest and you giggle.

“He kinda deserves it. After breaking so many hearts.” Shrugging your shoulders, your mind goes through the scenes of the day. You'll have another one with Dacre alone. “I–”

“Hey. Why are you guys seated all the way in the back?” Joe asks, turning his head to look at you and Dacre. “Come–”

“They're talking. Let them be.” Natalia pulls Joe back into his seat, giving you a stare and a smile.

Blushing a little, you exchange a glance with Dacre before looking down at your hands. “You can go be with them if you want.” You decide to let him know.

“I'm alright here,” Dacre affirms. “Is there anything you want to talk about our scene today? Any ideas for something we could do better?”

“The director wants tension, so we have to focus on that.” Opening the script, you easily find today's pages, since they were marked. “Like here. You could keep stepping closer and I'd keep pushing you away. They're both nervous since they're talking about the Mind Flayer, but it would break that tension with a different kind of tension.”

“I like that. It can work.” Dacre leans over a little to read, standing closer. “Amy could give Billy a push, what would make him a little mad, but not the usual kind of mad. James wants me to convince the audience Billy will have strong, true feelings towards Amy, so I think it will help. He won't be as aggressive with her as he is with everyone else.”

You only get half of what he says, suddenly distracted by his voice. “Yeah, I like that.” You watch as his fingers trace the paper, following the dialogue lines. “You have a nice accent by the way.”

“I'm Australian.”

“I noticed.” When you turn your head to look at him, and he does the same, you take in how close he is, quickly looking back down. He has nice eyes too. “I think it'll be fun.”

“I hope I won't make you uncomfortable. Basically, all of our scenes together involve some kind of proximity.”

“You won't.” Uncomfortable is not the word to describe it. Dacre does make you a little nervous, but any girl would be nervous acting with someone who looks like him. You realize he probably misunderstood your gesture from before, looking away from him so abruptly. “I don't feel uncomfortable. And I agree with you. We should get to know each other, I think it would help.”

“It would.” The van bounces suddenly, what gets a tiny exclamation from Joe. “So. What's your favorite color?”

The silly question makes you giggle, putting a lock of hair behind your ear. “Pink. Definitely. But I also love blue and lilac.” Taking a deep breath, you decide to look at him, just to make sure you'll kick away whatever he was thinking when you averted your eyes from him. “Yours?”

“Red.”

“Only one?”

“Yes. I'm a normal person, unlike you.” Despite the sassy comment, Dacre is smiling, sustaining your stare.

“So you're normal? That's a shame. I don't befriend normal people.” Closing the script, you take a look through the window, admiring how the sunlight gives everything a golden shine.

“It was good while it lasted then.” He says, and you bite your lip involuntary. “Who's your favorite character in the show?”

“Amy.” You're quick to answer, turning to look at him again. When the car takes a turn, the morning sun casts its light right on Dacre's face, illuminating it. His blue eyes get your attention, and you notice they remind you of LA's beach, near your house. Shaking your head lightly, you snap back into reality. “It's my character. I own her that much.”

“That's favoritism. You can't pick her.”

“Who would you pick then, Mr. Montgomery?” He giggles at the name.

“I like Maxine.” He answers. “She's badass and I admire her for enduring such an awful step-brother.”

“I like Dustin. His voice is funny.”

“Here I was thinking you had a deeper reason for liking Dustin.” Dacre fakes a disappointed tone, but a small chuckle escapes his lips.

“You're a deep person then.” You conclude, giving him a quick glance.

“You can say so. Aren't you?”

Guys don't usually like thoughtful girls, you know that. At least not the ones you went out with. People, in general, don't like that, so you learned to keep things for yourself. “We can say I think a lot. But I don't usually put it into words.”

“Why not?”

You get the feeling Dacre knows he hit something inside you. Something he doesn't understand, but he knows it's there, that it's delicate. You can tell that by the change in his voice, all the joking tones left behind, replaced by a much serious expression. Guess you can tell him, it's not a big deal. “My father once told me I feel too much. That, just like my mother, I suffocate people with all my... Feelings.” Breathing out, you can't help but remember the fight you had that day, many years ago. “It was ugly. Everyone was yelling, I was a teenager and just had my heart broken by this stupid guy so... It just kicked in. I pretty much closer some doors that day.”

“I'm sorry you had to go through that.”

“Don't be. It's not a big deal.” Isn't it? You're not sure, but you tell yourself it isn't. Going back there won't help, won't solve any problems, won't change anything.

“Of course it is. It clearly affected you.”

“How do you know it affected me?”

“Your voice changed, so did your posture.”

Gasping, you look at Dacre. People don't notice these things. They just say they're sorry and change the subject. “You're very... Perceptive.”

“Well, I don't think feelings are a problem. If he felt suffocated that was all on him. Not you or your mother.” Taken aback by his words, you can't help but smile at how kind he is. “Anytime you need to talk about anything, I'm willing to listen.”

“Thanks, you're–” The driver hits the breaks, and when you look through the window, you realize you're at the set. “We're here.”

“May the fun begin.”

An hour later, you're in a dark pink swimsuit, shooting a scene with Natalia for the third time. This is about Heather, already taken by the Mind Flayer, making her first appearance at the pool. The director, who now you know is named James, makes several changes for every take, but you and Natalia just have to repeat the lines.

“So. You were talking to Dacre.” She says in between takes, as you wait to see if there will be another one or if you can go on to the next scene. Natalia gives you a look that makes you blush. You didn't know she was paying attention to you and Dacre in the back of the van. “You two getting along?”

“Yeah. He is–”

“Alright, everyone. Heather's coming down and Billy is entering the pool. It's a quick one, so let's get it done in one take if possible.” James announces, and you lay back down in the chair, happy that this conversation was cut short. “Everybody ready? Action!”

Everything sets in motion, and Hawkins Community Pool comes to life once again. You engage in small talk with Natalia as Heather climbs down her chair, walking by.

“Is she alright?” Nancy asks Amy, eyes following Heather.

“She must be sick.” You tell her before the cameras leave you, all turning to the locker, from where Dacre is already coming from.

You know your part. Exchange a glance when he's close by and look away, annoyed.

But that's not what happens. When he comes close, you do give him the look, the cameras now focusing on you, but the whole thing vanishes. Your mind is blank as you just keep staring, a weird sensation building up when you realize you're watching Billy Hargrove right before your eyes. But when he walks by, you see he breaks character for a moment, as if wondering what you're doing. Of course he thinks you're improvising. So Billy's face comes up again, eyes lingering on you until he passes by, and you break out of your state, looking away.

“What was that?” Nancy asks, and you wonder if that's Nancy or just Natalia, because the line isn't on the script.

“Nothing.” Your answer.

“Cut!” James yells and you relax, taking a deep breath. “(Y/N), I liked what you did. Good job! Five minutes everyone.”

“What was that?” Natalia asks again, in a different tone this time, making it clear it's her who's asking. “Did you improvise?”

“Sure.” Getting up from the chair, you follow her to the resting area they set up for you. “Just thought it would give him the tension he wants too much.” Lying is not your thing, but what can you say? That your mind went blank? That you forgot the whole script for a moment and Dacre's reaction was what saved you so you wouldn't be looking like a total idiot?

“You did well then.” She takes a water bottle, taking a sip. She doesn't seem so convinced though. “Oh, we'll start gathering to go over the Starcourt scenes. They'll be heavy and everyone agreed on start working on them so it won't be so messy on set.”

“It's a great idea. When will it happen?” The Battle of Starcourt is the most complicated and longest scenes of the season, and you're glad they want to go over it.

“We have a group chat. I can add you so you'll know when we'll meet.”

“I can add her,” Dacre says and you turn on your heels, giving a step closer to Natalia. “I have her number.”

“Great.” She exclaims, drumming her fingers on the table. “I'll go find Charlie and Joe. We got a scene together later today.”

“Ok.” You mumble, waving at her as she leaves. “Nice tan.” The words come out of your mouth the moment your eyes involuntary fall from his face to his chest. “Now I know why Billy turns every head when he walks by.” Thinking fast, you manage to bring some sense into whatever you were talking about.

“You also look amazing in this–”

“Dacre, (Y/N). C'mon.” The director calls and Dacre rolls his eyes, making you giggle.

“Guess this is our cue.” He says, gesturing for you to walk before him. “Are you nervous? We're going to be face to face again.”

“No.” It comes out too fast, and you're sure he can tell you feel the exact opposite. You weren't thinking about it, but now you are. “I'm alright.” You're walking beside him, near the pool to where James is gathered with some people, getting things ready for the scene. “I think Amy–” The words get caught in your throat when your bare feet slips on a puddle, but instead of colliding to the ground, you're pulled up quickly, heart beating fast from the sudden motion.

“Are you alright?” Dacre asks, his hand still resting on the small of your back, and the other holding your arm, making sure you have your balance again.

“Yes.” Now you definitely look like an idiot. “Sorry.” When you raise your head to meet his eyes, you clear your throat and step back.

“Don't worry, I got you.”

“(Y/N), are you ok?” The director asks and you nod, walking fast over him. “Good. Let's get this going.”

This scene is the confrontation about what happened in the road. And you're supposed to be 100% focused, the lines at the tip of your tongue, but as you breathe in deeply to get into character, you can't help but feel restless. Maybe if you do manage to befriend Dacre it'll get easier. Hopefully.

“Ready, everyone.” The command comes and you prepare yourself, quickly replaying the lines in your head. “Action!”

In Amy's skin, you start walking back to your chair, carelessly running a hand through your hair when your arm is grabbed suddenly, and you stop, turning around to face the source of the attack. Anger takes over your expression the moment your eyes, or better saying, Amy's eyes, find Billy. “What the hell do you think you're doing?”

“We need to talk.” That said, he pulls you with him, away from the people.

“We have nothing to talk about.” Amy keeps fighting but still trying not to let anyone notice. Billy drags her behind the supply closet, away from curious eyes and ears. “Let go of me!” With a push, you set free from his grip.

“Well, did you tell anyone?”

“Tell what? That we saw a huge alien monster made of darkness?” You whisper-yell, looking into his eyes and giving a step back, just to figure out there's a wall trapping you. “Of course I didn't.”

Dacre steps closer, his chest pressing you further into the wall. “Then you saw it too. Right?”

It takes a while until you remember the line, and what you're supposed to do since the proximity clouded your mind. With both hands on his chest, you push Dacre away. “Yes, I did. It was after me.” You mutter as Dacre plays his part, surrendering into your push before coming closer again.

You take a deep breath, struggling to remain in character, annoyed and anxious, who can't wait for Billy to go away. “I...” He stutters. “I forgot it. Sorry, I got distracted.”

“Alright, let's roll it again from 'Did you tell anyone'. I want constant eye contact this time. Action!”

You get exactly two seconds to take in the command and set it into motion, but you do as you're told, raising your head slightly so you're staring at Dacre.

“Well, did you tell anyone?”

“Tell what? That we saw a huge alien monster made of darkness?” You've seen blue eyes before, but not that blue. It startles you a little when Dacre steps closer, and in an attempt to put some distance in between you two, you move back, hitting the wall. “Of course I didn't.” You manage to push out.

“Then you saw it too... Right?” Dacre changes his tone, and you get the idea. Billy is confused, not really convinced that what he saw was real.

“Yes. It was after me first in case you don't remember.” Keeping the annoyed tone in your voice, you have Amy push Billy away, now, slightly aware of your hand on Dacre's bare chest. Keep it professional, you tell yourself. This is a job. “And stay away from me.”

“That thing...” He steps closer again, ignoring Amy's requirement. “...What was it?”

“I really need you to stay away.” Another push, but this time Dacre grabs your arm, leaning even closer, putting a hand on the wall beside your head. You roll your eyes, breaking eye contact just for the sake of your character before she slips away again. Regaining your senses, you look up into his eyes.

“Sorry, if I'm making you nervous, princess, but I can't have anyone else listening to this crazy talk.” He gives you his wicked smile, the one that makes the girls melt.

That's it. That's the moment when Amy stands up to him, and you have to nail it because honestly, you don't think you can do this again. So you stand up straight, ending the tiny distance that was left between you and Dacre, between Amy and Billy, chests colliding and eyes burning with anger and indignation. “You think you can flash a smile and have all the girls of Hawkings at your feet but I won't fall for it.” You hiss, standing on your toes just a little bit, trying to match his height, but, of course, it doesn't happen. Dacre still towers over you. “So drop the bad boy act, jerk, and if you want to focus on the real problem here, the freaking thing coming from the sky hunting us, you're free to talk to me.” Then you leave, storming away, leaving the shooting area before turning around to get a glimpse of Dacre's acting. Billy keeps staring at the place where Amy went, which makes Dacre look straight at you. You see Billy's surprise face, filled with perplexion, not able to believe what just happened. Then, it softens, as he slowly goes back into Dacre.

“And cut! Jesus, it was amazing.” James exclaims, standing from his chair. “I don't think we should do another take, despite thinking a kiss would fit well in the scene.”

Your eyes go wide as you stare at James, who looks pleased with his work. You thought you'd have more time before kissing Dacre. To get to know him, so it won't be a mess like it was right now. You don't even know how it was possible for it to be so good as James says. You were all over the place.

“But no, it will be better on screen to build up the tension until it explodes. You did very well, you two.” James friendly touches your shoulder. “I can see you're still a little nervous, but it's normal since you basically just met Dacre.” He gestures at him, who comes to join you, and James puts an arm around his shoulder. “Perhaps you should get together and work on the kissing scene. See how you feel, how you could make it even better because every time you improvise, it gives me goosebumps and I like it. You two have chemistry.” His voice gets a little higher on the last word, and he let's go of you two. “So this is a little homework. Go over that scene and let me know if you think anything should be different.”

When James leaves, you're blushing, his words echoing in your brain. Homework? Does he really want you to do that? “Like a read-through?” You ask.

“You already did a read-through. Do the real thing. Or even better.” He turns around, walking backwards. “Get it on camera and send me so I can check how you two are doing. Amy and Billy are this season's power couple, I want it to be amazing. You're both doing great and that's why I want to take this to a whole new level.” And he sets in motion again, gesturing for someone to give him something. “Now get ready, I want to shot Heather's scene again.”

Week 5 Fantasy Sleepers: Cleveland's Duke Johnson 'Won't Back Down' vs. Jets

Week 5 Fantasy Flames: Allison an ideal plug ‘n play bye-week filler

Each week the Noise highlights under-started names who he believes are destined to torch the competition. To qualify, each player must be started in fewer than 60 percent of Yahoo! leagues . Speaking as an accountability advocate, I will post results, whether genius or moronic, the following week (Scoring thresholds – QB: 18 fpts, RB: 12 fpts, WR: 11 fpts: TE: 10 fpts; .5 PPR). Jacoby Brissett, Ind, QB (2 percent started, $22 in Yahoo DFS) Matchup: vs. SF (Game over/under: 43)

From the top down, Indianapolis severely fumbled its handling of Andrew Luck’s shoulder recovery. As a result, his exact timetable to return is unknown, with some doubting he won’t see the field until after Halloween. The Scott Tolzien experiment briefly blew up the lab, but quietly Brissett hasn’t added insult to injury. In fact, the overlooked passer has become a practicable option for the stream crowd. A Daunte Culpepper doppelganger, Brissett is big-bodied, surprisingly agile, multidimensional and a respectable downfield thrower. He’s averaged 7.3 yards per attempt, found the end zone twice with his legs and netted o.44 fantasy points per dropback (QB15). With Matt Ryan, Drew Brees and Kirk Cousins on siesta he’s an instant plug ‘n play against he Niners. San Francisco DBs Rashard Robinson and Dontae Johnson have allowed a combined 113.9 passer rating and four touchdowns to their assignments. T.Y. Hilton, suppressed way too often this season, should strike it rich. As a whole, San Fran has given up the 11th-most fantasy points to passers (254.5 yards per game, 7:2 TD:INT). Brissett is still learning to fly, but inside Lucas Oil, a venue in which he torched another weak secondary (Cleveland) a couple weeks ago, he will find his wings.

Fearless Forecast: 209 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 2 interceptions, 19 rushing yards, 1 rushing touchdown, 22.3 fantasy points

Duke Johnson, Cle, RB (29 percent started, $13 in Yahoo DFS) Matchup: vs. NYJ (Over/Under: 39)

Through four weeks, Johnson is a show quality hound compared to Isaiah Crowell, who has the look of a mangy cocker spaniel. Disagree? Whether via the eye test, intense statistical research or both, Duke is indisputably the more efficient RB. He ranks No. 1 among all eligible RBs in yards after contact per attempt (5.4) and elusive rating according to Pro Football Focus. Where does Crowell stand in each category? Second to last. Only Paul Perkins, who owns the shiftiness of Lake Erie, ranks worst on both fronts. In other words, he’s a walker in the zombie zoo. Yes, Cleveland’s bolstered offensive line has underwhelmed (No. 30 in run-blocking), but Johnson deserves more run. He simply possesses a hotter spark and more versatility. His 14 snaps advantage over Crow last week may have marked the changing of the guard. The incumbent won’t vanish completely, but 14-plus touches per game could soon become the norm for No. 29. This week will be no exception. The Jets, described as “Paper Airplanes” not long ago by yours truly, are impossibly 2-2 on the season. Demario Davis and Steve McLendon, who rank inside the top-15 in run-stop percentage at their respective positions, are two reasons why. Collectively, though, New York has allowed 4.05 yards per carry, 6.3 receptions per game, 166.5 total yards per game and the fourth-most fantasy points to RBs. Don’t do Duke like that. In a contest only a fantasy owner could love, he’s a highly employable RB2.

Fearless Forecast: 7 carries, 24 rushing yards, 7 receptions, 65 receiving yards, 1 touchdown, 18.4 fantasy points

Jerick McKinnon, Min, RB (4 percent started, $13 in Yahoo DFS) Matchup: at Chi (Over/Under: OTB)

Through the blood, sweat and beers last Sunday in Minnesota, tears streamed down sauce-stained checks as prized rookie Dalvin Cook crumbled to the ground with a dreaded non-contact knee injury. Despondent feelings immediately polluted minds as fears of a long-term injury increased. Sadly, tests Monday revealed a torn left ACL. The frying of Cook, who was on pace for a mammoth inaugural campaign, places the Vikings into an all too familiar position. Arguably the worst ground team in the league last year, Minnesota will now turn to human glacier Latavius Murray and McKinnon to shoulder the load. Due to Murray’s slow-creeping style and balky ankle, the former college QB is the organization’s only hope. He exhibited sporadic flashes previously, but McKinnon, heavier and more muscular compared to last year, has the hands and explosiveness to bear occasional fruits. His uneventful 2016 scares easy, but recall he ranked favorably in total evaded tackles (No. 17) and juke rate (No. 23). He likely won’t go bananas in Chicago, but in a bye-heavy week he’s at least serviceable. Bears interior defender Akiem Hicks has gobbled up RBs. Largely due to his effort the Mice of the Midway have given up just 3.61 yards per carry, 105.3 total yards per game and the eighth-fewest fantasy points to rushers. Despite the difficult matchup, McKinnon is an employable RB2/FLEX. Stop dragging my heart around, SPARQ god. It’s now or never.

Fearless Forecast: 9 carries, 46 rushing yards, 5 receptions, 32 receiving yards, 1 touchdown, 16.3 fantasy points

Tyrell Williams, LAC, WR (32 percent started, $13 in Yahoo DFS) Matchup: at NYG (Over/Under: 44)

Pulled off the scrapheap post-Keenan Allen knee combustion last year, Williams certainly charged up all who gave him a chance. His 69-1059-7 line proved quite valuable for those in 12-team and deeper leagues. Many told Williams “don’t come around here no more” after a sluggish start, but the downfield threat detonated in Week 4. His 75-yard dusting of Philly corner Rasul Douglas lifted investor spirits and reestablished his place among the league’s most dangerous long-bombers. More than just a streaker, Williams is a more complete receiver than most believe. He’s tough in traffic and typically outmaneuvers undersized defensive backs with his high-point abilities and smooth routes. This week, he owns a distinct upper hand. With Janoris Jenkins draping Keenan Allen, Williams is likely to square off against ultra-forgiving DB Eli Apple. On the year, the rotten corner has surrendered a 129.6 passer rating, 67.7 catch rate and league-high four touchdowns to his assignments. If Philip Rivers has enough pocket time (37.5 pressure% in Week 4), Williams crosses the chalk in consecutive weeks.

Fearless Forecast: 5 receptions, 91 receiving yards, 1 touchdown, 17.6 fantasy points

Geronimo Allison, GB, WR (6 percent started, $11 in Yahoo DFS) Matchup: at Dal (Over/Under: 52.5)

Last Thursday, viewers who witnessed the violent helmet-to-helmet collusion between Davante Adams and Danny Trevathan audibly gasped. The malicious hit levied by the linebacker dislodged Adams’ mouth guard and scrambled his brain. Thankfully, the receiver escaped the worst possible scenario, but the concussion suffered is sure to keep him sidelined for some time. Enter Allison. Built like Jack Skellington from “A Nightmare Before Christmas,” the former Illini is long (6-foot-3, 202 pounds), lanky and dependable. Though he’s mostly seen only limited action, his hard breaks, sharp footwork and precise routes have helped him gain breathing space from defenders. According to the NFL’s NextGenStats, his 3.2 separation yards per route ranks No. 12 among all receivers, tight ends included. Keeping that in mind and knowing he’s sure to draw favorable coverage working opposite Jordy Nelson, he’s a recommended WR3 in Week 5. His matchup, at Dallas, is an advantageous one. Orlando Scandrick, Jourdan Lewis and Nolan Carroll, who may return to action this week, have allowed combined a 66.7 catch percentage, 98.2 passer rating and two touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers’ complete trust in him and expanded role say he could be a fantasy saving grace. If it all clicks, it’s possibly he matches the 6-122-0 output notched Week 3.

Fearless Forecast: 5 receptions, 78 receiving yards, 1 touchdown, 16.3 fantasy points

WEEK 5 SHOCKER SPECIAL (Under 10-percent started)

Alex Collins, Bal, RB (7 percent started, $12 in Yahoo DFS) Matchup: vs. Oak (Over/Under: 40)

Edgar Allan Poe’s scariest nightmare pales in comparison to this year’s Ravens offense. Though light years better than fellow AFC participant Miami (ZERO points scored against the Saints?! Pigs are flying!), it’s a chuckle-worthy unit that’s clearly failed to grasp the meaning of “execution.” Pin the blame on the offensive line’s inefficiency (No. 28 in run-blocking per Player Profiler) or Joe Flacco’s elite suckitude, but this is a franchise that’s lost its ground-and-pound identity from Jamal Lewis’ heyday. Collins, however, could be the magic cure. Last week on a season high 17 snaps, the Seahawks castoff compiled 82 yards on nine carries. His game-best 50-yard scamper, in which he showcased excellent speed, power and balance, greatly impressed. Overall, he tallied a ridiculous 5.6 YAC per attempt and forced three missed tackles. Buck Allen dwarfed him considerably in actual playing time (46 snaps played), but due to Terrance West’s downfall – it’s clearly the end of the line for the veteran – Collins’ role is bound to grow. Bottom line, the Ravens need his brawn and play-making ability. Drawing a Raiders defensive line that’s yielded 4.20 yards per carry, Collins could run with the fervor of an incensed boar, provided he doesn’t suffer another mental breakdown. He’s been a bit fumble prone as a Raven. Still, bye-week plagued owners looking for a one-week stopgap should give him a long look.
