Ateez reaction to you dying your hair the same shade as theirs.

Seonghwa - It was finally his turn to have blue hair. It was a beautiful shade of royal blue and he couldn’t be happier as he climbed out of the stylists chair. He showed off his new hair as soon as he picked you up for dinner that night. You had to admit that it suited him really well. The next day while he was getting ready for filming the new music video and the adjacent photoshoot for the album, you went to the salon you frequented for your regular trim and for a special styling.

You had been allowed on set before and decided you would surprise him during one of the breaks in filming. When he saw you standing next to the director a pleased smirk formed on his face. Your hair now matched his and now the two of you would look every bit the matching couple you two loved to be.

Hongjoong - He had idolized fellow idol rapper G-Dragon for years so now that he was given the same iconic neon yellow hair color, he was hyped up even more the this comeback. This was going to be amazing. You were instantly jealous. You had never been brave enough to color your hair anything other than a shade of brown and that hair color really was striking. In a stroke of courage you booked it to the salon.

When you showed up to the studio he was working on music in that evening with take out in hand he smiled as warmly as his heart felt. You wanted to match him and were brave enough to finally do so. He melted. Now, not only did he get to have the iconic color of his favorite idol, but you did too. Everything he loved most was lining up and this sweet leader couldn’t have been happier.

Yunho  - Despite his height and his intense level of dancing, he rather enjoyed having a softer look. So the pastel pink his stylist colored his hair was perfect. Usually only the smaller more feminine male idols got to have soft pink hair. He was living his best life. Boys should be allowed to like pink and every other color that exists.

You also enjoyed the softer look on him as well as yourself. It would be so cute if you and him matched and was the softest looking pair to ever exist so you went for it. When you meet him at the gym for your daily workout in your matching workout gear, your hair also matched. The blush that covered his face was a deeper pink than his hair. You were just too cute and he couldn’t handle it. His squeal brought everyone’s eyes on you and how he squished your cheeks turned them pink as well.

Yeosang - Matching had never been your intention. You both colored your hair frequently so it was only a matter of time before the stars alined and you matched. Matching the shade of this color though is what had both of your jaws on the floor when he got home. He loved it though. It matched the sassy fire he loved about you. Cherry red suited and made you look larger than life and he was so here for this.

“All the gods and goddesses in all the world’s folklore combined couldn’t out do you. Hot damn.”

If he brought you along to the set for filming with the sole intention of showing you off, he was never going to admit it.

San - He has had nearly every color of the rainbow but his favorite. He didn’t care the shade, it just needed to be purple. So when he found out his hair was going to finally be that color, and a beautiful shade of Orchid purple at that, he had the dopiest smile on his face the entire day before going to the salon KQ worked with. With the advanced notice, you managed to book an appointment at your regular salon right after lunch the next day. San didn’t stand a chance when you walked into the dance studio at the end of practice if the nose bleed was an indication. This was now his favorite look on you as you absolutely slayed with your hair his favorite color.

“Why in all that is good on this earth, have you never done this with your hair before,” he asked in complete awe.

Mingi - His hair had been a muddy orange before, but this was vibrant! It wasn't neon but if you looked at him from behind you would think that he had an oversized orange for a hat it was that orange. Every time he changed his hair color he was like this; talking animatedly about how much fun his current color was and that you should think about dying your hair some time. It’s not like your job was against it. You always said you would think about it.

Last thing he expected was for you to actually go through with it this time. You showed up to the dance studio one evening, a few days before the actual comeback to bring him and the boys dinner. It was like new life was breathed into him and he was a bouncing ball of joy and happiness cause you finally did it! Your hair matched! His goofy smile didn’t leave his face for a week.

Wooyoung - Honestly, he feels like a badass. The forest green color of his new hair accented his skin tone and made his eyes look extra sharp. His already high confidence was through the roof and he wouldn’t shut up about it the entire time that you were on a video call with him. You were meeting up with him after your flight home the next day so you had to act fast. You love teasing him as he tends to be a big bully when he is feeling himself. So the look on his face when you opened the door to the van he was in to pick you up was priceless. Green had always been your color.

“Excuse me, but what is that?”

“My new hair silly. Don’t you like it?”

He sulked the whole ride home causing you to smile more.

“How dare you pull off this hair color better than me?”

Jongho - His hair was a shade of dirty Blonde. He chewed on his bottom lip as this was an entirely new look for him. Sure he had highlights, but never his whole head of hair. You assured him that he looked good as a blonde. After his lunch break ended you decided that he probably just needed to feel supported and you had the perfect idea to show your support. By time his day ended you were waiting out front of the KQ building with newly blonde locks of your own.

“You just looked so good blonde I had to copy you.”

A soft smile appeared on his face. You matched! “Thank you,” he responds quietly. “It means so much to me that I have you on my team.”

HONGJOONG would have black hair and i could imagine it being similar to how it was cut in wonderland or it could be left alone, but overall his hair will be fucking black. i was actually torn between having red haired hongjoong back or trying black haired hongjoong and yeah, black hair won.

SEONGHWA so i’m really biased towards wave era seonghwa and i really want that look to come back, so that’s what i’m doing here. sorry, my comeback my rules. dirty blonde seonghwa for the win!

YUNHO i could see him having the hair after wonderland but before mama. it was blond but with his roots and it looked really hot nice. no i mean hot. i also really like the length of his hair right now, but most of the time for this comeback his hair would be slicked back and the forehead power can be shown.

YEOSANG the iconic pink hair will come back for this comeback! i missed the pink hair entirely and i want to witness the power he held, so pink hair yeosang it is. not only that but i think pink hair would really suit this type of concept i’m going for.

SAN i imagine him doing a dark dark red color for this comeback. i don’t really have any reason except for i think he could pull it off because this is choi san we are talking about lol. for style he would have the same style he had during answer because the style really suited him in my opinion.
