Did anyone notice that Yeon Woo’s thoughts turned suddenly far darker right after his aunt threatened to transfer him to get him away from Yoo Han? Yes, it continues to grow darker after finding out that Yoo Han might stop coming to school.

But the spiral starts when his aunt says he should get away. When his aunt tells him that wanting this is dangerous. That his mother got hurt because she wanted the same thing.

The more the world tells Yeon Woo that what he wants is wrong and will hurt him and will hurt other people the more Yeon Woo is convinced he’s going to hurt other people and the more he moves towards that.

If you leave someone with no options, if you tell someone that will inevitably hurt someone with what they want... well, what are they going to do?

Yeon Woo is convinced that he has no choice but to hurt Yoo Han. He doesn’t see any other way to keep him. 

I really, really want to know more about his parent’s relationship. His aunt mentioning how much he reminds her of her sister as he seriously thinks about kidnapping is pretty interesting as well. So much of this is just Yeon Woo’s fear of being separated. He needs so much reassurance, honestly.

im not sure how else to see it either tho i don’t need how go yoo han recognises his friends and go yoo han if he can’t necessarily remember what they look like. i suppose at school they wear nametags but otherwise it’s a guessing game if they aren’t speaking for him to recognise their voice. i dont want to get all in depth bc its a kdrama and if the accuracy of a depiction of face blindness is what im questioning in a show with a literal soulmates au, i would have to sort priorities dgkjhglkdj

but face blindness would sort of be an interesting reasoning as to why he continually tells choi yeon woo how ‘pretty’ he is bc it’s like he literally forgets every time he stops looking at him sort?? which is sort of similar to how choi yeon woo forgets colours if he doesnt see go yoo han. AND how he said that he likes the uniqueness of choi yeon woo’s eyes when he sees colours so that could be a characteristic of choi yeon woo’s that keeps his face further stood out to go yoo han. many thoughts 🤔
