The park consists of a chain of wetlands, including Lake Joondalup and Lake Goollelal. You will be delighted to explore the park on foot or on your bike.

You can see Hillarys Boat Harbour, the Indian Ocean, Perth’s northern beaches and our beautiful coastline on one of the helicopter flights departing daily from Hillarys Boat Harbour. Bike ride along the Sunset Coast

It is the perfect opportunity to explore the coastal highlights and the native bushland from Marmion to Burns Beach. This is an easy, 14 km trail which runs alongside the lagoons, reefs and small islands of Marmion Marine Park and will take you past many swimming beaches, lookouts, kiosks and cafes including Hillarys Boat Harbour and Burns Beach.

Kangaroo decapitated in ‘cruel act’ at Yellagonga Regional Park in Woodvale

A kangaroo has been found decapitated in a disturbing example of animal cruelty at a popular northern suburbs park.

Daniel Lizzi came across the horrifying scene at Yellagonga Regional Park in Woodvale on Friday afternoon and reported it to authorities.

Mr Lizzi, who recently moved into the area, said it appeared that the kangaroo’s head had been severed cleanly off, not torn.
