It backfired because they thought wwx was possessed by Lan An, especially when jwy visited cloud recesses (almost causes a war between jiang and lan). For it to end, wwx pretended to be Lan An and said goodbye then fake fainted (as if Lan An left wwx’s body)

2. Hey, I'm looking for a wangxianfic, in which wei ying and lan zhan are already married. Wei ying goes on a night hunt with the juniors and gets hurt. I think it was a cut on the stomach with poison. Lan zhan cares for him but wei ying is almost dying. Lan zhan is davasteted and says that he can't wait for wei ying again. I'm not sure if this is something I think happened in a fic, or it really exists, but on the off-chance someone know what I'm talking about - the Sunshot Campaign ends differently with Wen Qing/Wen Ning in charge of the Qishan Wen, and as part of reparations(? Maybe?) the family vaults are revealed. Wen Qing warns people not to touch anything but JGS is too greedy and grabs something and dissolves in dust? i once read a fic where LWJ and WWX were stuck in the Xuanwu cave and WWX was i think on the verge of dying but then something emerges from the waters and gives LWJ a deal that if he gives up his voices then as an exchange he can save WWX's life which LWJ obviously does so his voice goes away but by the end of the fic Wangxian go back to the cave where LWJ gets his voice back because he once again strikes a deal with that creature giving up his immortality or something that has to do with him being worshipped for gaining his voice back. was a one shot that i remember clearly and was on ao3 platform also thank you so much cause this blog has bought me my favorite Wangxian fics.

5. help. hey i am certain the fanfics in my memories exist but they keep on eluding me so there are these 2 fics:

A) the premise of this story was time travel where modern WWX travels back in time when other WWX is living with the wens in the burial mounds when LWJ comes to the borders with his modern counterpart and when modern wangxian meet they have a sweet reunion in which they share a kiss after that they are joined by the hip much to the mortification of OG wangxian. WY's parents are dead (car accident) but madam Lan's alive and he calls her mother or mom and modern them is engaged they also have their phones by which they click a photo and after coming to modern world WY sees that as proof that it actually happened. read it on ao3 muti chaptered (completed) with either 4 or 6 chapters 6 being maximum

B) in this one the main Lan fam is captured body swap between WRH and LWJ occurs and after LWJ realizes what has happen he commands that his body's head be severed which is currently housing WRH's soul and LXC and LQR are present to see that happening and grieve over LWJ not knowing WRH was the one who died and LWJ doesn't inform them about the body swap but tells the guards to take LXC and LQR to their rooms he keeps his own body's severed head in his room also. LWJ asks guards to bring him WWX which they do but injured and WWX sees LWJ's severed head and gets angry he also practices to be more like WRH so nobody suspects this is the most clear i remember there were also i think one appearance of WQ and some from WX and WC was on ao3 ongoing atleast when i was reading think over 5 chapter but under 10 the last i had checked (i was so curios to know what happens next but i lost the fic)

6. Hello! This is for ficfinder, I have lost track of two fics, and would very much like assistance finding them again!

A ) an Addams family style modern au. I cannot remember the title, but Lan Wangji enjoyed the taste of Hemlock tea, Wei Wuxian always dressed in gothic clothes, A-Yuan keeps getting possessed, Wen Ning would die temporarily every now and then then, and the reason Lan Wangji went to Yiling in the first place was to find his mother (madam lan is alive in this one).

B ) Young Prince Lan Wangji fled the palace to avoid an arranged marriage, and met an older Wei Wuxian and traveled with him, keeping his identity a secret. Lan Zichen catches up with them after Wangxian have spent the night together (bottom LWJ), and Lan Zhan is taken back to the palace. Wei Wuxian returns to claim his hand, revealing himself as Baoshan Sanren’s heir. Fix ends with them watching their kids play in Lan Zhan’s mother’s garden.

At first wwx doesn’t want lwj to know that it’s him. He brings him bunnies and helps him re learn how to play the guqin(he cannot play it due to his injuries and because he hasn’t practiced since he was punished) lan Yuan helps wwx to learn how to play it and lwj starts being more active

Lxc is happy and let’s wwx go to a small one week vacation but lwj gets worse that week, he also discovers mxy is wwx I think

BY THE WAY this is possibly the FUNNIEST fact about roland i have discovered in my time playing the game. he CAN'T LIE FOR SHIT

this can Technically technically technically hypothetically technically be interpreted two different ways, considering he is supposedly The black silence during the game and then the artbook is like NO LOL IT'S ANGELICA. like there is actually one true answer as to how this should be interpreted (because he does not believe himself to be The black silence. because that was his wife.) but the thing is it works BOTH WAYS:

he is the black silence, and he's lying about whether there was any moment whatsoever in which he could say such a thing about himself (which would obviously be false, if he were the black silence he had multiple opportunities in which he was outright pressed on his origins and could have said so, including that time he confessed to previously being a "kickass grade 1 fixer")

he is not the black silence, and he's trying his hardest to roll with her assuming he is because he REALLY doesnt want to admit literally anything whatsoever about his wife (he even calls HER a grade 1, previously! again with technically true but omitting crucial context information!) which results in him lying his ass off with "y... Yuppp i'm... totalllyyyy the black silence (trying not to throw up)"

I’m ace, i get off, i make sex jokes, I don’t want to have sec with an actual human being, but I’ll read slash fics, I get horny for fictional men, I joke that I want to fuck them, I don’t, but I might be a smutfic of these characters when I feel like it, none of this makes me any less asexual.

saying all ace people are virgins and have never and will never have sex and have no libido and are “uwu liddle babees” who are oblivious is just factually incorrect.

Jon’s asexuality is left vague for a REASON.

we hear about through gossip, from someone who 1) hates Jon 2) heard it from his EX. That’s not the most reliable source. I hate to break it to you, but it’s not. It’s second hand information that is, AGAIN, left vague. So that the viewer may interpret it however they like.

someone interpreting Jon as sex-favorable is fine. It’s a headcanon. We don’t ACTUALLY know bc there’s no sex scene or lack of sex scene. Because it doesn’t matter whether or not he has sex! It adds nothing to the overall story, but if you want to write smut with Jon, that’s fine!

Stop getting so uncomfortable, it’s a fictional character and these fics are hurting no one. Stop “calling people out” just because they’re writing something you don’t like. It’s like saying someone who writes detective novels is a cop or condones murder.

and most of the fics I’ve seen are by ace people who are projecting their own sexuality onto Jon, maybe even figuring out their asexuality through him. I realized a lot of my asexuality by reading some of these fics!

hell, even if you don’t like Jon having sex or feeling attraction to people, there’s fics where he ISNT attracted but will still have sex bc guess what! Even allo people have sex with people they aren’t attracted to! Bc they want to! Bc some people like having sex with others!

no ond is trying to erase Jon’s asexuality. You’re just mad because not everyone has the same headcanon as you. And guess what? You can block tags, block creators, you can block people on ao3, you can filter out smut on ao3, all of this is easily avoidable if you just curate your own expirience.

people are gonna write smut of any and every ace character. It’s not inherently acephobic to do so. Especially not when someone who is acespec is just projecting onto a fictional character who’s sexuality was left vague for that reason.

if you disagree, fine. You can always just look the other way.

so story time i used to hc taco was deaf and. hear this. not armless, but handless. thats right she had her forearms still but not her hands.

i kept messing with the ideas too. cause what if she lost her hearing in season one and didnt say anything. mainly cause she didnt have to but like. what about now? what about her arms? what if she actually lost only one. what if her arms were uneven. what if due to the constant hiding of her arms she starts getting somekind of phantom pain or something or like. constant pins and needles and over all inability to use her arms for most of the time. i forgot the word for like. chronic pain in specific bodyparts..? idk the definition

also context i used to have a funny fantasy au self insert that got x'ed during the finale hence all the hcs cause like. i love alienating taco from canon like it's fun

okay wrapping this up i was actually just gonna talk about taco stuttering. cause. look me in the eye and tell me this masc girlypop knows how to articulate herself when she has to freestyle. half her shit was rehearsed i bet you. have you seen her use big words in season 1? in season 1 finale? i mean she did use like. 'velocity' in the crappy cliff again but that is so obviously staged. no wait please let me cook im not delusional.

even then only in mid season 2 does she start using funny words. 'oo0ooo0o im being inconspicouis' shut up you stole that word somewhere and practiced it. ask her to say a hard word and she cant. i hc she will never be able to pronounce the word 'indubitably'.

Those are some really neat ideas!!!!! Taco having difficulties with her arms after keeping them tucked away for so long is a really interesting idea!!!!^^ Her being deaf or hard of hearing would be neat too, might be a reason why she and Mic work so well together, yeah?

Alienating her from canon is very fun, hehe, especially with how her character and mindset revolves around the show so much. I like to put her in TPOT lol.

I tend to prefer Taco with her very wide vocabulary, but I do agree she practices things she's gonna say before she says them!! Taco has no social skills, she does not know how to interact with other people normally, would probably practice greetings, apologies, conversations, etc. in private.

Sign language is neat!!! Maybe she'd steal a book from the hotel some times and teach it to herself for something to do in the woods like you said, yeah?

okay fine ill write out my thoughts on Nezha because i have a bunch of them. tbh i feel kinda weird about being perceived about anything related to Nezha... not least because of yume so im tagging this veryyy sparingly. edit from halfway through writing the post: this shit is SO FUCKING LONG??? im colouring and bolding and smalltexting everything so it isnt a big block of white.

and obviously, MAJOR SPOILER WARNING for both Nezha films.

NEZHA 1

1. the jokes

we must start with the first movie. i have said this so many times in every review to my friends and family and on Letterboxd but i will say it again. i believe Nezha 1 suffered from what ive dubbed the "Wandering Earth effect", where they put in a lot of cheap jokes because theyre worried the film wont do well. but then they get greenlit to make a sequel and now have the confidence to go all in and blow everyone away.

slight tangent to talk about Wandering Earth—its a Chinese film about the sun dying so earth has to rocket away from it and find a new place to live. Wandering Earth 1 was extremely underwhelming for me, littered with a lot of random jokes i was kind of meh about, and it felt kind of disjointed overall. which is why i barely remembered it when i went to watch the sequel, which i was absolutely floored by. then i went to rewatch the WE1 and was like "what the fuck is this?!?!" like, my ratings for WE1 and 2 are 1.5 stars and 5 stars respectively. not that my ratings are very good metrics honestly but the point is the quality difference is so big.

after i finished Nezha 1 (before watching Nezha 2 the very next day lol) i had this hypothesis because Nezha 1 had a lot of cheap jokes as well and since Nezha 2 was now the fucking bestselling animated movie of all time, there had to be a jump in quality.

i really felt like the quality of the first movie steadily increased as the number of jokes decreased lol. like at first there were a lot of gags (ugh "guy screams like a little girl" trope my beloathed. okay we get it ha ha its funny when a big tough guy acts like a girl ha ha isnt he such a pussy!!!!!) but the story started getting more serious and they decreased. they didnt vanish completely, but thats fine tbh. they just need to be tasteful and not overwhelming or over-the-top, which i think Nezha 2 did fairly well.

2. the story

but back to Nezha 1. i think it has all the elements of a good story. there are very obvious themes around "not letting your birth dictate who you are" and "fuck destiny and fate, your life is what you make it" and "prejudice is fuckin Bad" and on a smaller scale "isolating and treating a kid like an outsider is definitely going to stunt his growth and make things worse". but they felt kinda... faint? i think they couldve, shouldve leaned into them more. like be SERIOUS!! stop trying to make it a lighthearted comedy this is a really moving story :((

for example, the dragons' whole issue is they helped Heaven defeat demons and for that they get to guard the demon jail... which doubles as a jail for them too. we only get Shen Gongbao's motivation reveal later in the film which is fine (i thought his initial appearance was very funny though. yeah guy-who-looks-like-Pitch-from-RotG, im sure you are not going to be the villain later (in retrospect this is me making assumptions based on stereotypes, which is what the movie is literally arguing against, but in my defense this was the beginning of the movie when i still thought this was going to be a silly casual kids movie. i will elaborate later))

i just wish this was emphasised a little more. less for the audience and more for Nezha himself, because he doesnt know why Ao Bing is going sicko mode on Chentang Pass. he runs away before Ao Bing's dragon heritage is revealed to the village and they realise the dragons stole the Spirit Pearl, so his motivation stopping him doesnt include "bro you are NOT evil like people say you are. i would know." or "bro you did not have a say in the circumstances of your birth. i would know (2)" its just "bro stop trying to destroy my fucking home?"

i cant remember when he even realises Ao Bing is the Spirit Pearl, i dont think Shen Gongbao wouldve told him that part. like... im thinking about it... he does seem to know by the time they hold hands under the lightning, when did he find out.......

anyway. obviously the lesson can be extrapolated by the audience, but i think it wouldve hit harder if Nezha was aware (and i think the movie was still meant to be somewhat directed at kids, so i thought theyd be more overt about it...) like Nezha clearly has heard some rumours about the dragons, because he laughs at Ao Bing's horns the first time he sees him (though it feels like more of a "u look stupid" laugh than prejudice from being taught the dragons are untrustworthy) (though it could stem from the same place, just that he doesnt take it seriously.) (but he does readily accept that Ao Bing is on his side vs the yaksha)

of course you can also say "well, that actually does help get the message across better because it shows that from the start, Nezha doesnt have any preconceptions about Ao Bing('s kind)!" but idk. i think not being prejudiced is slightly different from understanding and actively choosing to go against/unlearn prejudice. mostly because its a more realistic thing for viewers to learn rather than "just never be prejudiced in the first place!"

but i guess if its a movie for kids they should be learning from Nezha's perspective? no that doesnt work because the village kids are actively hostile to Nezha... ALSO IM NOT SAYING their prejudice isnt justified. of course he hurts the villagers and theyre understandably afraid, but we are watching from Nezha's perspective and (should) know that hes acting out because no one is willing to give him a chance, which just feedbacks into a negative cycle and it really should not be on the kid to break that cycle but alright

of course of course you can also say that the unlearning prejudice part is for everyone else to learn, not Nezha himself. but he should still be aware of it, imo.

iirc what happens is Ao Bing says something along the lines of "you cant beat me without using the full power of the Demon Pill, also please stop youre gonna die anyway and i have to do this" and Nezha is like "去你妈的 shut the fuck up, i dont HAVE to do anything (WE dont HAVE to do anything), I MAKE MY OWN FATE (WE MAKE OUR OWN FATE)"

technically on Ao Bing's side he can interpret this as the correct 'lesson' ("i dont think you being a dragon means youre evil, you can make your own choices") but on Nezha's side hes going thru his crisis and learning he doesnt have to be the demon people think he is, not fully understanding Ao Bing's struggle with the expectations his father laid on him. its sadly not fully explored, which is kinda fair since Nezha is the fuckin protagonist, but their journeys are parallel and mirrored, and theyre both on the fucking poster (BOMB fucking poster to use the scene where Nezha holds his spear to Ao Bing's face btw. WHY did he have to stand so cuntily huh. not standing straight no he had to lean to one side slightly. SERVING!!!)

what the hell was i talking about? right so. Ao Bing's character arc isnt emphasised as much as Nezha's which is fair but i think it wouldve made for a better message if they did. or maybe im talking out my ass.

3. other notes

well, moving on, loved the reveal of his dad's plan to take the lightning for him, and the overall revelation that he always believed Nezha could be reformed, contrasting with his portrayal up to this point as the 'rod' to his wife's 'spoil' ("spare the rod, spoil the child"), which gave the pessimistic impression that hes harsher on Nezha because a part of him still believes he is a demon. so you find out he had faith in Nezha the whole time, he was just hard on him for his own good etc. what a typical Asian parent line honestly but i dont have a huge issue with it because that reveal was really good.

also liked the portrayal of Nezha's mom as a general alongside her husband. yes #girlboss and all but paired with her unending love for her son, it doesnt feel like a flat "strong woman who is not weak (feminine)" trope. theres something to be said about mothers in fiction but i will Elaborate on that in the Nezha 2 part of this meta, because oh boy.

its also an interesting way to ensure Nezha grows up even more isolated—a typical portrayal id expect would be his dad does the demonslaying and his mom stays at home and pampers Nezha the whole time. but that wouldnt jive with Nezha's need for validation and attention that causes him to sneak out and cause trouble for the village. (yeah at this point i was like ohhh this movie is actually about childhood neglect (half-joking))

which begs the question, what if Yin couldve spent all her time raising Nezha? if she could give him the attention he craved would he have still turned out like this? perhaps not, because the criticism Nezha receives does cause him to "live up to" the villagers' perception of him being a demon (as i said, feedback loop); so if that didnt happen we JUST WOULDNT HAVE THE STORY... which was also why it was a genius move to send Li Jing up to Heaven for a year, forcing Yin to take over the demonslaying job and not be able to spend time with Nezha.

this is really convoluted and messy i dont really have any rhyme or reason when writing this. i just felt unsatisfied with the first film; i thought if they didnt try to have so many comedic moments, and really sincerely told a story about two children fated to be 'good' and 'bad', subverting those expectations and then joining hands to truly take fate into their own hands—like, just take it seriously, man. but, whatever, it wasnt done THAT badly, i still enjoyed it.

NEZHA 2

1. the jokes + overview

ooooh boy. lets start with the comedy—VERY much toned down compared to the first movie. there are definitely still jokes, but they arent as... obnoxious? honestly im not sure how to articulate my distaste for the jokes in the first movie, might have to rewatch and analyse every one of them and why they didnt contribute to my enjoyment lol. maybe cuz its 2019 and the jokes are dated? would 2019 me have enjoyed them? unsure.

but anyway. 2 hour+ movie, absolutely GORGEOUS animation, seriously, i actually wanted to rate this 4 stars but scenes like the big fuck off tree pushed it to 4.5 stars. seriously, i usually advocate for pirating movies, but this was truly an Experience to watch in the cinemas. like it genuinely conveyed the amount of GRAND that Heaven should be. and the moment i left i heard another hall playing Nezha and was like "damn i wanna sneak in and rewatch it". i did not want the experience to end.

2. the story

so anyway, Nezha 2 definitely takes itself more seriously than the first, which i think is very good for it. it also has a LOT more going on, goddamn. from the get-go we've got Ao Bing fucking DYING AGAIN, Ao Guang giving them an ultimatum or hes blasting Chentang Pass to bits, training montage with plany off jokes, gut-wrenching Nezha's brothers scene that was preceded by Deer guy's incomprehensible targeted racism to the dragons—

(seriously, he sounds like he has a vendetta against them for no logical reason. like Doylistically its obviously just to make Nezha/Ao Bing/Taiyi uncomfortable and angry at the injustice, but Watsonianwise it just reads like he very specifically dislikes the dragons? which may make sense if they are considered a major enemy of the demon hunters, but theyre just... not. theyve literally been chilling for years (ok to be fair we dont know this for sure but it definitely comes across like that, with the way Ao Guang places his hopes and expectations on Ao Bing (as the third son) to finally save the dragons' reputation)

i guess it could make sense with his reveal of being a deer demon so maybe dragons helped defeat their kind (??? though all the demons the dragons are shown to be suppressing seem very oceany) but it really just felt so out of left field. regardless of reason, its still a strange outburst from someone who has acted quite dignified the rest of the time. does he just have a very strong grudge. thats fair, but still feels random. especially because the rest of the Immortals clearly do not think this is as serious a problem. like youd think they would be more pressed than the demon who bought into their rhetoric but okay! well i suppose thats also possible... the pick-me minority who is a stricter cop to prove theres worse ones out there and theyre the good one right haha)

which reminds me i actually did not really SEE the immortals/demons, oppressor/oppressed allusions until i read this meta. i mean like, i did, but only the oppressed side. like yeah theyre unfairly discriminated against for their birth and theyre lich rally trying so hard to get on their oppressors' good side (trying to become xian) and failing (the sect was always planning to siege their village) but i did not really SEE Heaven as active oppressors. like, as a whole. till now im still interpreting this as Wuliang specifically just being a bad egg, because the rest of the Immortals have not been shown to be anything like him, or as bad as him (granted we only meet them for a short time, but just goes to show how readily i accept that the establishment is inherently good lmfao... i suppose we'll find out in Nezha 3 if theyre all racist too :) which would fit the themes way better if they did, honestly) edit from the future: not oomf telling me its obvious i dont watch any wuxia because i did not see the Heaven=oppressors allusion 😭😭😭

btw what the fuck is the Deity War or whatever. like they keep saying that shits coming but did they ever actually explain what thats about lol. and ughhhhh i just knowwww the Jinzha Muzha shit in the 3rd movie is going to be soooo much and also why the fuck did they just drop Ao Bing having two brothers as well but theyre dead or some shit. i mean its to show that he understands Nezha's pain, but thats all we get!? like youre just gonna leave it there like is Ao Bing just Ao Guang's 3rd try at this "appeasing Heaven" plan (in which case, nice, dude, no wonder your siblings double-cross you instantly) or did they just die completely unrelatedly like bro we cannot rely on the original legend because (according to Wikipedia) Ao Bing's character is radically different from the original story (a villain) so WHO ARE THEYYYYY. but fine sure maybe theyll elaborate in the 3rd movie...

bro i cannot stay on topic to save my life where the hell was i. oh yeah i was actually planning to add one more note which was i actually cannot fucking remember the Deer and Crane's names. like i thought the subs said Deera and Crana for some reason, but i cant find anyone online talking about it lol.

um right then weve got Shen Gongbao's family which was... yeah heartbreaking honestly. really kills me that Ao Bing kept holding onto Zhengdao's hand for so long that Xiaobao, who took a WHILE to reach the scene, managed to catch him holding it. but i guess he cant really just... drop it... so i dont really blame him. its just an unfortunate coincidence all around but thatssss how we get plot rolling! i was just like ohhhh nooooo Shen Gongbao's gonna be pisseddd and Ao Guang told them to follow his orders oh nooooo

also it wasnt really clear like... why Xiaobao rushed back. iirc what happened was his dad used the rainmaking spell, and Xiaobao perceives that as a sign that something is wrong, but this isnt really explained? i think the demon hunters also get a bit !!! when that happens? and Taiyi wanted to pull Ao Bing out at that point (i might be misremembering when he has this urge lol, couldve been before Ao Bing froze the river) so it seems like a last resort move.

i suppose since his power is teleporting between electric currents in the water, making it rain could be a sign that he has to turn the battlefield in his favour, and either 1. the demon hunters think this is not something he should be able to do (as in, they want to keep him weak), or 2. its a spell that he is literally like, legally not allowed to use, but desperate times call for desperate measures. is it really desperate though. its just a xian wannabe beating his ass... well, pride is a helluva drug. OKAY no he probably did feel like he was defending his village. see up to this point i:

actually thought these were like. deadass constructed test grounds for the xian trials. obviously this isnt the case because after Ao Bing defeats the groundhog marmot (interesting, i did not know that meme was a marmot. or what a marmot even was. i was honestly losing it in the theatre and i could feel my mom sitting there impassively because she doesnt know the meme LMAO) leader they all swarm in to capture them.

so the trials arent like, designed specifically for candidates but just, "bring them along on their usual demon hunting route and let them have a go." which to be very fair, i think they did say that. but the way they all watched from afar and it looked like a goddamn set piece for a film crew really gave that vibe, so i at first really just thought "ok Nezha is just joining some class" and that was the trial lol. but no he was actually supposed to fight Shen Zhengdao.

very unfortunate and then bambambam Chentang Pass is completely obliterated, wow. tbh i was not very believing at this point i was like yeah no im sure they found some way to survive and then the yaksha appeared out of the rubble and i was like OH YOUUUU YOU ARE HERE FOR THIS EXACT REASON.

of course we later find out that Gongbao did not decide to kill the entire village over this, but that Wuliang appeared (??? for some reason i cant remember why he decided to pay a visit) and was like damn son what the hells goin on here. Ao Run mentions the Spirit Pearl and Demon Pill swap (and deadass this doesnt get elaborated upon so Wuliang's actions are not a result of knowing the switch) and Gongbao accuses him of orchestrating this attack because he knows that Nezha was supposed to do those demonhunting trials... (very sad that Xiaobao dies without knowing Nezha/Ao Bing were innocent in all this)

and Wuliang's like ohh too bad so sad anyway you guys are like one step away from destroying this place? and offers to free them in exchange for scapegoating Ao Guang as the evil dragon king who destroyed an innocent town. and theyre like lol yea sure lets do it

Gongbao making a last stand when he couldve survived with the yakshas help was also so damn touching. as this fantastic meta says, Gongbao's backstory reveal in this movie really reframes him from a villain to someone more sympathetic, who isnt just powerhungry but also a filial son and brother (and we Chinese love our filial piety dont we). and now that his family is dead there isnt a point in trying to ascend to godhood, so he throws himself into a frankly doomed and already-finished battle.

and then we later find out he survived; maybe Wuliang foresaw using him (since he wouldve presumably already have kept Zhengdao alive by that point. oh did he go find Gongbao specifically to use his fathers death over him?!) and saved him or at least mustve whisked his body away. excellent excellent. moving on

so Nezha goes ballistic unable to find his parents and heads off to finish the third trial and become xian. gets the elixir to revive the lotus (which... okay... i cant not say it... it looks like... milk :) right... just milk... hahaha.......) and shoots off to go fuck up Ao Guang. Ao Bing wants to stop him but Taiyi is like you cant do ANYTHING until you have a body anyway so please sit your ass down.

then by this point Wuliang has gotten ready to start cookin (demons and dragons into immortality pills) and Nezha and Ao Guang are pingponging off each other until Taiyi, his parents, and Ao Bing arrive, redirecting Nezha and Ao Guang's hostility to Wuliang. then the epic Nezha/Ao Bing vs the three dragon kings battle kicks off (of whom Ao Run is truly the only formidable one seriously theyre all like "oooh Ao Run has this SPECIAL CLAW that can create rifts in space" what the fuck do the other dragons have??? absolute fuck all!!). ngl im not sure they would be more powerful as human(oid)s than dragons but we wouldnt get an epic fight sequence otherwise, so, fair enough.

the part where Ao Bing and i dont remember which dragon king, the thin one, their weapons are glued together by Ao Bing's bing and they have to fuckin juggle Nezha's spear was quite cool though i really do think they couldve had an easier time just breaking the ice and fighting normally. but yes kings show off your footwork! (and it is more visually interesting, i admit)

and i was so expecting a scene where Ao Run redirects one of their attacks into each other. thank you Homestuck for making that teleportation/rift-in-space tactic live in my head rent free. honestly she... probably couldve solo'd them like she just has to send them to the bottom of the lava pit or something LOL. but yes that wouldnt be very fun...

oh and this whole time Nezha's parents, Tianyi, and Ao Guang are fighting the Deer and Crane demons (i wont lie i thought Crane's power reveal was super awesome), until finally they all get stuffed into the big OMMMMMMMMM cauldron (dgmw it was an epic sound effect. but once it plays more than three times, it starts to lose its lustre...) oh and Wuliang literally sticks pins and needles into Nezha and Ao Bing's bodies which was pretty fucking horrifying. but also, visually, kind of funny that theyre stuck A-posing for a while. i mean i know theyre in excruciating pain, sorry guys, sorry.

honestly when they got fucking thrown in i really thought they could solve shit by just. picking them up and bringing them together so they could utilise the energy/power-absorption abilities of the Chaos Pearl, but uh i guess no one thought about that! despite the fact that thats literally the whole reason they split apart the Spirit Pearl and Demon Pill in the first place cuz it was tooo powerful! (i mean they do it later but maybe we couldve *sniff* done it a little quicker *sniff* and prevented Yin's death)

ugh the whole scene with Nezha and his mom was heartrending. the hug in the beginning not being returned so she hugs him now, when its going to pierce her so horribly, her being the first to believe in him ever since his birth (dont forget she had to carry a fetus for THREE WHOLE YEARS BTW), just being a Loving Mother in general... then Wuliang offers Nezha the Oblivion Pill in exchange for letting his parents live (okay so in retrospect this is a pill that erases memories and presumably Wuliang would employ him as a servant afterwards? but while watching i had no idea what it was supposed to be lmfao. i was just like okay. it has the colours of the Chaos Pearl. what does that mean.)

but Yin knocks it away, Nezha and his parents have a breakdown over not wanting the other to die for them and then his mom deadass just FUCKING TURNS INTO A PILL. i cannot believe thats how the pill formation works but it is comically horrible. eat it and your mom will be with you forever, Nezha!

so that was really sad, but i could not help but think ahhhhhh the "mom sacrificing themselves/dying for their children" trope strikes again! and a woman dying for a man's character advancement! like it was incredibly incredibly sad and i cried, but i was still keenly aware of that in my head lol, as someone who has read a bunch of Lily Evans meta recently...

like i know it can be WAY more gut-wrenching to have the mom die. its a trope for a reason. but they already subverted things with her being a general, couldnt they have had the dad die maybe... it couldve made for an interesting Nezha/mom Ao Bing/dad parallel afterwards but okayyy fine. side note this film does not pass the Bechdel test, does it. which is not a real test it was just a joke between two lesbians but well... we can see the lack of women here.

Nezha's body being perfected by the fires of Samadhi was cool as fuck though. especially since they literally hinted it not two minutes ago with "hes the only one who wont burn in here" lol. bishounen Nezha woohoo!!! grabs Ao Bing's hand and everyone pushes the cauldron open a la Finding Nemo fish net scene.

and—i mentioned this at the start but the fucking TREE thing, with the demon hunter legion forming the golden leaves of the tree, was fucking beautiful. really shows off the scale of things. then the cauldron breaks and they have the big fight in the air, Oubing go beat the shit out of Wuliang and do their handholding energy absorption inside his tree prison thing (nice going dude, maybe instead of crushing them together you should have held them separately?)

Wuliang admits defeat and leaves, and i immediately thought "oh my god we are getting a 3rd movie. or are they gonna wrap things up real quick i cant tell if its been 2 hours already" and then. oh my goddd. the final scene, Ao Bing leaving and Ao Guang telling him he can go back if he wants and they hug ARHGHGHGGHHH. and he comes back to Nezha (edit: AFTER NEARLY THE WHOLE DAY HAS PASSED BTW, someone pointed out the sun is in the sky when he leaves and is setting when he comes back. Nezha really waited there for hoursss 😭) and Nezha says his "because we're still young" YES! YES!! flipping a phrase that is usually used in a "youre so young of course you dont realise that life is cruel and thats just how it is" and turning it into YEAH SO WHAT??? we're young and not yet beaten down by the hardships of life. why does it have to be so cruel? why cant we make things BETTER? YEAHHH!!!!!!

also the ink painting credits was pretty until they DELIBERATELY put the Nezha/Yin hug back-to-back with the Ao Bing/Ao Guang hug like OKAY JUST FUCKING KILL ME WHY DONT YOU??????

and the post-credits (its really funny that they made drawings to specifically remind you to stay for post-credits. why the hell were people getting up to leave during the credits BRO THEY SAID THERES POST-CREDITS?????) with Wuliang getting trapped in the prison was really fucking funny. face recognition joke just like Nezha 1's fingerprint authentication joke (i do like it when fantasy media includes references to modern technology. like yeah, some of this stuff would sound magical to someone from that age?) and Deer and Crane beating the fuck outta him was the funniest thing in the whole movie to me. though on a deeper note i wonder how Deer and Crane really feel about Wuliang. it could just be for laffs... it could also show that they do have some compunctions about their roles...

PERSONAL NOTES

tbh didnt know what to name this section the entire meta/review is my opinion after all. anyway this part is just about how i came to know/watch the films.

i remember when Nezha 1 came out in 2019. there was another Nezha movie that came out alongside it, which i only remembered as Nezha: somethingsomethingsomething (it's New Gods: Nezha Reborn lol) and i remembered hearing that one of the Nezhas was really good and one kinda meh. but i had no idea which was which. so i just shelved it for the future.

then bam. Nezha 2 out. is it that good? whatever. i still dont know which was the good one. its the fucking ALL TIME BESTSELLING ANIMATED MOVIE????? goddamn! my parents started talking about watching it. we checked Netflix, they had a Nezha film but my dad said it was the wrong one.

skimmed over some clips and pics of Nezha 1 and i literally only saw clips of kid Nezha (which makes sense, he is a kid for 80% of the movie), and mostly gag clips so i thought oh its a kids movie or something? and i did not have high hopes for Chinese animated kids movies after Little Door Gods disappointed me so hard.

my parents were still asking to watch it. i was still putting it off by saying "well we have to watch the first one so we have to figure out where to pirate or stream it." then i saw some fanart online of Ao Run and i was—i was like theres girls in this film? theres characters that arent the little kid??? incredible because that person actually drew Ao Bing right there and i did not give him a second glance. but now i love him lol.

and then we watched Nezha 1 on some Chinese streaming service that would play ads, like, every 5 minutes. granted, the 'basic' premium we paid for allowed us to SKIP the ads, but they would still play like fucking youtube ads. fucking insufferable, i hate capitalism. anyway i was like ohhh!! because Ao Bing was really cool, and i was like "no one told me theres a PRETTY BOY in this film???"

then Nezha also turned into a pretty boy. i was like DAWG OKAY WHAT???? (ironically i wouldve known this or expected it if id bothered to look up the poster which just has him. right there. but instead i got entirely jumpscared)

then he turns back to a kid at the end. okay. THEN IN NEZHA 2 HE TURNS INTO HIS BISHOUNEN FORM AGAIN, SLAY, AND DOESNT CHANGE BACK. therefore i would like to say this represents the movie moving past the 'kids comedy' genre and onto more serious pastures and the 3rd movie will probably have even less jokes. just kidding they probably will have the same amount of jokes as the 2nd, it was an alright balance.

also. i dont actually know a lot of Chinese mythology, like, ive never read the books or legends or anything. so when Nezha got his ribbon, and the gold bangle(?) goes onto his wrist, i did not recognise it from knowing my own culture. i recognised it from a dont starve together mod i played ages ago.

my final note is: im honestly scared for Nezha to get popular in English-speaking spaces, because Oubing, and i just know some dense mfs are gonna be like "HES A KID???" (i mean ive already seen some Tiktok caption going like "ummm they have a BROTHERLY relationship akshually" like girl 1. most people are shipping their bishounen selves 2. theyre both three fucking years old 3. just close your eyes

Dem Hi! I'm back with a bit of an unhinged ask here:

Im sure this doodle gives you an idea where this is going. I was just making myself some tea, and I was thinking about Lovers In Eden (i was going to listen to a song called Eastward of Eden by Amelia Day,hence the association). And Since I am a film student, a writer and i took script classes as my subject las trimester, i offer you this unhinged recap of my conspiracy theory. So LIE (Lover in Eden) introduces us to the idea that Strife killed Y/N after a bloodlust outburst,right? Well, at first i didnt think too much of it, but then the chapter ends with the four on earth, which felt a little disembodied from the prologue. Which brings me to the hipothesis which is: Strife's lover is on earth,reborn without their memories. My proof for this theory is this: 1) We know that in the darksiders universe there is such thing as a well of souls, we know they go through the kingdom of the dead to repent and then be reborn through the well. 2) you wouldntve put the line "Love slayer" if it wasnt relevant to the plot. (Writing often times includes phrasing things a certain way to hint at other things). 3) Why would you close the chapter where you did? What relevance does the fact that the four are now on earth have? Simple, Strife will find a reborn,survivor Y/N and will fall in love with them (and have a crisis once he realizes its a whole like soulmates finding eachother again situation) 4) and last (which came to me as i wrote this) if you were to center the story only on Strife and the reader without the reader being reborn, you wouldve just started it from the medieval age/wherever strife met the reader and not end with the four on earth. Of course dont gotta tell me if im right,dont want to spoil the whole fic anyways. But I felt the need to share this with you. (I genuienly felt like the pepe silvia meme). And yeah, one offshoot of all this is that maybe the reader isnt a reborn soulmate, and that the prologue could just set up this inherit guilt and fear towards love that Strife has. First off, I love your pepe doodle! It’s so perfect. In fact I find it so funny that I made this a little bit ago myself... (As much as I'd love to rant and such about my AUs' lore and headcanons, I made this for shits and gigs)

I absolutely adore hearing theories readers have about my fics. (Sorry this has taken FOR-EV-ER to respond to, I'm terrible with replying at times)

I also fucking LOVE that you're a film student, I think that makes this whole theory situation even better because I do tend to have a very movie-esque thought process when writing. (Blooper reel and BTS footage rent free in my head)

And I think I've got the mind stewing a bit with that recent post, Flowers From My Lover. Without hopefully giving away anything, you do have some valid and interesting points in your theories and has me going, "Oh Jer is good little detective." You get a cookie for your theory skills!

There are indeed certain key details and clues I put in on purpose and it's so interesting to see what readers pick up on. And yes, the well of souls is involved to some extent in this plotline, but not in the way you might think...

I also find your choice of the word "reborn" interesting. Very obviously and right out the gates, I will say that yes, reader is alive in this story. But it's the manner in which reader's alive and again, the reborn theory is interesting and again, possibly not in a way you're expecting. Though it seems rather simple, I will tease that there is... quite a bit more to it than what's at face value.

And I wanna tease this little clue too because it is one of my favourites: It's interesting how the fic's title has a double meaning in plain sight...

1) Regarding Misty as the supposed traitor, was it always the intended direction? Also, is Misty inspired by Caesar Flickerman and Beetee?

2) Also, I think Nat’s the youngest victor in the fic? Which reminds me of Finnick, did you draw inspiration from that? Also, how did you decide how Nat would win her games?

Omg this is thrilling. Do not apologize I love talking about my own writing 😭.

1. Do you mean Misty being the traitor underground when they think there’s a spy? I briefly considered having her actually be leaking information when I was writing the outline, but I didn’t go that direction bc I don’t believe at her core that she would ever hurt her friends. Walter was more inspired by Caesar Flickerman than she was, she is definitely more Beetee & also a little bit of Plutarch. She supports the greater good, but she also isn’t afraid to sacrifice things & she knows sometimes people have to suffer/die for ultimate victory.

2. Yeah, Nat is the youngest victor! She was definitely based on my aspects of Finnick’s story, though none of the characters are totally based off of one THG character or another, I also just based them on what I thought those YJ characters would do in the games. So, to your next point, I decided how Nat would win her games because I think while her character is desperate not to let herself be killed, and has a strong survival instinct, she also is one of the least violent Yellowjackets. She really shows an unwillingness to be cruel/violent in many circumstances. & she also feels a lot of guilt about letting people die in her place. So, hence the story of how she won her games.

3. lol Lottie & Jackie are both very Lucy Grey in this fic I think.

4. Jackie was always going to die tbh. It’s kind of baked into the story. Like I think in the first line or first paragraph she tells the story of Achilles & Patroclus? & basically describes the exact circumstances of her death lol. I feel like the point of the hunger games is that there was never anything Katniss could do to save Prim, & I wanted to keep that spirit in this story. & I also wanted to stay faithful to the major points of YJ & I’m not sure I ever see Jackie and Shauna getting a happy ending tbh. I like MCD when it’s done well, hopefully it’s done well here. The only other characters I briefly thought of killing were Misty & Van. Misty died in the original outline but I changed it. & I did think about killing Van in the way finnick died, I mean, she’d just gotten her happy ending wedding she’d been wanting the whole book, & she’s so brave she would’ve sacrificed herself to sewer mutts if needed. It also would’ve been a narrative parallel to Tai sacrificing herself to the wolves earlier in the story & pushing Van off the cliff to save her. But, I obviously didn’t wind up doing this because I love Van wayyy too much to kill her for basically no reason.

5. Thank you!! I was extremely proud of my wolf-taming scene lolll. & I think Taissa is actually a good choice for president during peacetime. Even though she’s kind of a bad senator in the show, I think she has legitimately good political ideas & she’s definitely the smartest of the group (maybe tied with Shauna, but she was in no shape to be president atm).

6. No, I kind of killed Travis off randomly ngl 😭. He kind of did kill himself, he was definitely acting reckless on purpose. I just knew I didn’t have room for him in the final war chapters bc I just didn’t want him moping around & taking away time from the main characters. So at basically the first opportunity for him to die with narrative meaning I was like… okay time to go. It furthered Jackie’s story though so yk. I feel good about it.

7. I came up with James bc there are two great epilogues I’m fond of with the children who survived the ordeal of their stories growing up & falling in love. So I wanted to do the same thing. They kind of represent elements of all three main couples, & show how things could’ve been for them if it weren’t for the games. & it gave Shauna and Callie an opportunity to bond. I also just thought it would be funny if they were in like a toxic situationship hooking up & not talking about it, canon high school event I fear. But mostly I just wanted to give everybody a happy ending & I thought the two of them falling in love tied the story together nicely & showed how much better things were for the new generation!

2. I just finished chapter IX (i think) of Teenage Dirtbag (the jj x reader x rafe) and i need to say something:

its so good BUT im so upset at jj bro….like she keeps saying she doesnt wanna do anything and he like manipulates her into doing the exact thing she didnt wanna do (ive been yelling at my phone every scene this happens cuz its more than once)

like bro this isnt a good thing and JJ thinks hes better than rafe (which he is) but in some ways hes not that much better😭 STOP PRESSURING THE READER TO HAVE SEX BROOO AHHHHUGGGH

and like idk if this was ur intention (its great writing either way) but its like girl pleaseeeeeeeeee we need you to speak up/communicate to JJ and put ur foot down (cuz shes literally having sex with this man or letting him touch her while thinking “this isnt what j wanted” “i didnt want to do this tonight” *screams into pillow*

Yeah the story is about the lesser of two evils lol. Not the good guy and the bad guy. It's been a topic of discussion both in asks and in comments on each chapter about how JJ isn't the good guy, he's just not Rafe and that is why the reader struggles to see that he's almost just as bad too because well...he's not Rafe and when faced with an abusive asshole who threatens to kill you/almost kills you vs whatever JJ is, one is obviously the "better" option

Hello and welcome to my Sonic FANKID OC blog! Lets go over what this all is and the rules, yeah?

First, basically what this blog is, is a roleplay blog of primarily STH fankids from various ships and pairings! A fun way for me to be self indulgent and others with sonic muses to explore their muse being a parent essentially! (Those who are comfortable with fankids that is.)

There will be MULTIPLE ships shown here. None of which will ever be pedophilic or incest. All shipchildren are from pairings that are two consenting adults that arent related to eachother. And i understand not everyone is multiship or LIKES certain pairings, which is fine! You are allowed to cherrypick which fankids you interact with, i wont be upset at all! This is all for fun afterall.

Now the RULES.

1. Shipping with the fankids will not be allowed with any muse that is UNDER 18. Which will probably be most of the muses hereif not all! Which means the only shipping that’ll be seen is the parents of the children and that is up to the other roleplayers who the parents are.

2. NSFT asks are NOT ALLOWED here. If anyone is acting weird twords the muses here (ex: pedophilic behavior, wether it be ‘joking’ or not, will be DELETED.) i will not tolerate creeps. Get the fuck off my blogs if you’re a Pedo. Ew.

3. This blog will contain dark themes no doubt. Mentions of murder and etc, you get the gist. “Kesshō is a hybrid between a ‘hedgehog’ (a diety) and a Jackal (infinite), She was born missing an arm due to some things that went wrong with a mortal mingling with a deity, but otherwise is healthy. She has long dreadlike hair like her ‘mother’ (infinite) but keeps it all in a large ponytail that hangs under her quills. Shes nearly the spitting image of her father, with some jackal traits like massive long ears, long snoot, but has no mouth like her father. The third eye was a mutation that doesnt affect her heavily. She has rollerskates that are meant to ‘mimic shadows jetshoes but better’. Shes a generally softspoken and quiet type, only talkative around her parents or those she trusts.”

Taiyō T. Hedgehog. (Mephadow pairing)

“Taiyō isnt a hybrid, due to Mephiles mostly assuming a hedgehog form, but the deity being his father causes him to look abit abnormal. His sclera color is inherited from meph and due to the pairing being two powerful hedgehogs, the little ones chaos energy was incredibly unstable, causing him to require his own inhibitor rings so their child didnt just fucking kill himself trying to get ahold of the fact hes alive and flowing with chaos energy and alien blood. The chaos flow+black arms DNA causes him to have a second eye. Hes incredibly fluffy due to shadows intense fluff. He is a very innocent and confused being, hardly being alive for too long, hes very sweet, talkative, and excited to meet new people, wether they be friend or foe.”

Spark T. Hedgehog (Sonilver)

“Born from two well known and praised hedgehogs, Spark is abit of a wildcard. Due to sonic being the ‘mother’ of the pair, his unknowingness of sparks existence caused him to emerge without a leg. But thankfully as spark got older he was given a Running Blade leg prosthetic to be able to move normally. Luckily, spark inherits more psychokinesis than super speed, so the fake leg hasnt squandered his powers. Hes still learning how to use his powers as of right now and is slowly getting the hang of it, ut phantom pains from his missing leg have caused his learning to be a struggle. Like his blue father, Spark has a small attentionspan and cant sit still very long. But has picked up his sassy, rude attitude from silver. He is not afraid to backtalk anyone. That includes his parents.”

Nova T. Hedgehog (metilver)

“Nova is an interestingly-patterned hedgehog, picking up Neo/Metals massive and long spiked quills, makes quill care a struggle for both parents. She has inherited a weaker psychokinesis and struggles to lift anything larger than a Table currently, but shes trying to get better at her powers. Born with a Resting Botch Face, she always looks grouchy and grumpy, but shes.. the opposite. Picking up more of the kinder personality of silver, she loves to be helpful and useful around the house, and around other people. Probably becoming a people pleaser.”

Dandruff T. Hedgehog (sonadow)

“Born with nearly pure albinism, Dandruff was definitely a surprise to the two hedgehogs when their first child came out nearly pure white with light red stripes and markings and a bright red moon mark on her forehead. Dandruff is a very odd child, both angry and grouchy like shadow but excited and hyperactive like sonic, its definitely an odd mix for the two to deal with, especially when she inherits more chaos energy then super speed. One sneeze sends her teleporting somewhere else.”

Kokutan T. Jackhog (Mephinadow (inf,meph,shadow))

“To say Kokutan is an odd child is an.. understatement. With mostly jackal attributes, the attributes of his other fathers comes in an.. odd way. A mix of white&black, with the tealish green and bright red of the hedgehogs makes an odd looking child to be nice about it. Kokutan is flowing with chaos energy and some influence of the ruby. His scelara and three eyes can be seen as creepy but his fathers love him no matter it. Hes still learning how to do his abilities due to how chaotic his genetics are. Hes very kind and respectful, hard to piss off, and genuinely a good listener.”

Dice T. Jackhog (shadfinite)

“Dice is probably the only one who isnt beaming with chaos energy, its a controlled amount with this little one who looks more hedgehog then jackal, with the main jackal characteristic being the large bushy tail. Dice hasnt a clue she even has any chaos energy inside her right now, shes yet to see it happen as with the controlled amount, she has to force it out instead of it happening on a whim. Dice was born blind, which is why her eyes look normal- but she cannot see. Despite this, she is hyperactive and excited by every little thing, which is dangerous for a child who cant see.”

Chopper T. Fokal (inftails)

“Chopper is an interesting little fella. While he has some of his dads(tails) smarts and his moms (infs) bad temper, he seems to be something of a bipolar child. Switching from incredibly kind to a real jackass on the flip of a coin, but usually thats directed to strangers, but it doesnt protect his parents from getting the tail-end of his persona. He never means what he does or says when he gets mad but hes an explosive little hybrid. That wont stop him from wanting cuddles and attention though.”

“Tank is a very, very grouchy little hedgehog, Picking up both his parents grouchy and moody personalities, he is very, very hard to get along with unless you’re his mom or dad. He will infact start clawing or scratching your legs or even daring to bite you if he feels like it, inheriting chaos energy from his father (shadow), he uses it to his advantage to scare the fuck out of his parents, or people who piss him off. Hes been taught to bite by metal. And keeps that lesson close to his heart.”

“Jewel is, essentially, a little shit™️, despite appearing adorable, gently and sweet by appearance, he is anything BUT. he inherits knuckles anger issues and rouges sassyness, he is not afraid to backtalk anyone, even his parents. His wings are still yet to grow in, but he does have knuckles’ super strength. And rouges infactuation with shiny expensive things thanks to her exposing him to it at a young age. With being a little shit, comes a short attention span. Making it hard for knuckles to teach him the ways of the echidna and the guarding of the emerald when he refuses to listen to it.”

Discussion questions:

1. calling information "word of god" does not make it accessable to characters within the universe. There is still the question of "do they know this?" "how much of this do they know?" "who is telling them this and does this person have ulterior motives in presenting this information?"

2. The game makes you the bad guy on purpose. Especially proceeding Octo Expansion, you are literally playing as the oppressor race that came out on top of a race war.

Octolings are treated as evil and gross by hero characters in the game in different story mode adventures. They're the bad guys. Even now, integrated among the inklings, octolings are still "othered" in tiny ways. Inkfish sybolism is squid shaped by default, rather than octolings. Phones, chargers, badges, stickers, logos, inklings are "default" and octolings are the "other".

Racism and classicism are huge themes in the game and the game isnt afraid to surround you with characters who uphold these divides and make you say for yourself "this is weird. this is wrong."

The ongoing racism against Octolings isn't brought up directly, but you see it, right?

So. Salmonids. They're the bad guys, right? They attack the city sometimes, even though we, gracious inkfish, help them fulfil their death rituals, and for that they must be kept at bay.

Its good for us too! We make money, we save the city, we get food. No idea what our boss is doing with the eggs we collect but its no matter! Its part of nature! The Salmonids like it! Why, it's even in the art book!

I get it. It's a kids game. You play salmon run for the first time and youre like "whoa! this is shady! this is weird! is this allowed?" but like it's a kids game. They wouldn't let you play "innocent blood on your hands" for money and funny hats, right?

but they do. its a running theme.

of course they have an in-universe explanation for why its okay. They're deceiving you on purpose. They're trying to make you think. They've spelled out so obviously that this is wrong but they havent said it outright and it seems like to so many people that just means it isnt wrong at all.

Turns out eating people is bad. I, like this funny squid game for kids, have tried to say my point every way except to tell you directly, and like the game, you're comforted by someone, anyone, telling you its fine.

Eating people is bad! The treatment of Octolings in the games are bad! The classist and consumerist society the inkfish have built is bad! And thats fine! It's a fun world to explore, horrible roots and all.

But yeah. Back to the same thing I've been repeating 5 asks in a row.

3. Say all that you said is true and universally understood in universe, does that make eating salmonids okay?

woohoo !! didnt except to respond to this whole essay (for more context, im talking about the document jay made about the drama in the kaeloo fandom lol) considering the fact that its basically just 222 pages of insults towards random (and especially her mental state -who tf do you think you are btw) and then pretending to be a saint by randomly saying "b-but ! i dont h-hate you guys 🥺". i knew that this whole "call-out post" would be bullshit, but thats just low. really, really low. i figured that you and your little friends (or should i refer to yall as a cult too ? since we're going in the extremes :)) were mostly just here to insult people and play the victims, but i didnt think it would be that bad. i wont say much about whats in the document because i think its randoms place to do so, since its basically just a long ass diss to her, but i still wanted to write a short response. am i allowed to though ? i mean, as a teen (even if im 18 in a few months, ive been called underage in your document so ill go with that) i can draw and read explicit content to explore my sexuality 🥺🥺 but i cant think for myself right ? :/ thats too bad. i cant agree with my friends because that would also mean that im a yes-man and that im being manipulated or wtv helps you sleep at night lol

this is just to respond to the little part that has been directly adressed to me: if my answers are short when the drama is brought up its because...i actually dont give that much of a fuck about the drama itself. do i think that you guys are gross for writing and drawing porn of children and animals ? yes, i do. would i care if you just stayed in your own server to share that shit to your "safe place" ? absolutely not. you do you. that is none of my problems if you dont bring it up in a space you share with KIDS. thats the whole problem with you. you posted your disgusting content in websites where kids will obviously find. as an adult, you must be really naive to think that they will just read your warning and think: oh yeah !! ill just move on to a new fic :3 !!

they are kids. this is a kid show. obviously, you are sharing your fandom with kids, and you have to be careful about that. that is your responsibility, whether you like it or not. you cannot except to be appreciated and respected when you write porn about kids, in a fandom full of kids. if you genuinely, truly believe that everyone should accept you for that...then man, theres nothing i can do for you. but you know, you could share your things since you cherish them so much in patreon or in your discord server if its too explicit, but ao3 ? wattpad ? the stm ? those are FILLED with young teens. i can't believe you're whining about having to respect rules to coexist in a fandom of a show about kids with kids...wild

again, this is my OPINION. i cannot force you to not like...well, the things that you like... but i can definitely call you out if you're sharing that to kids, even if its indirectly and that you put warnings or whatever. you need to be cautious about the members of the fandom. if you're unhappy about this, then leave the space that isnt for you.

as i said, this happens in many fandoms filled with minors: bunch of adults are weird. they're being called out for being weird. they cry about it and create a group. they call people who call them weird, weird. its really common. thats why the center of the drama isnt new or interesting to me. thats why i dont write essays whenever it is brought up in the main server, or when nsfw fics were posted there. creeps exist in EVERY FANDOMS. do i still think its good to call them out ? totally. but that explain why i:

1. didn't really say anything when jay were posting their fics. since they agreed with us on the topic of kaeloo fics with nsfw but still were posting them, i figured out that there was not point in arguing. i just ignored the weird parts of the stories or simply didnt read anything. i dont like conflicts, and had a lot going on (still do), so i didnt speak about it before. thats my bad though: even if jay wouldnt have cared because they have a different opinion than me about aging up characters apparently, i shouldve said something whenever i had the chance and not only when the subject of fics with porn was brought up, and i take full responsibility. but you must know that i do not support those type of works and never have said that i do. whenever we spoke about it, i made it very clear that it was gross and that i dont agree with it at all. to tlak about jay's fics again, i mostly was enthusiastic about all the parts where sex wasnt involved (about the ss of me talking about jays fic about pregnancy, i loved seeing how mr cat and kae would act as soon-to-be parents ! i think its cute !! do not mean that i agree with writing full scenes about how that child is made).

jay has great ideas, thats why i liked their work so much. i will never pretend that i hate EVERYTHING that they do. theyve wrote and drew great stuff, and just because i dont agree with them as a person doesnt mean that ill ignore that or the compliments that ive given to them. i admire a lot of their work and didnt lie about any nice things ive said to them. this is not all white or all black.

2. didnt write really big responses in the STM. this is a server about kaeloo. the drama isnt really brought up there, except when its important or at the start of it. with college, job, family issues and the start of adulthood soon, i do not have time to be on discord in the first place. either im here for a brief moment, or i can be active when everyone is asleep so they already said everything i had in mind and all i can say is "yes" to messages i agree with and "no" to messages i dont. you do not know me, and if you genuinely believe that this is all i think about what is happening, then you're just extremely stupid...obv i wont talk about everything i think in details in the STM, or rub it in your face.

the only reason why im involved is because you're harassing my friend and i do not want her to suffer alone. its as simple as that. i will always support my friends in public, and correct them in private if i think they did something wrong. is random perfect ? do i think that she does no wrong ? ofc not. i'll always tell her if i think that she's not doing something right, the only difference is that i'll tell her in private, not in a discord server. how do you except anyone to listen to you if you already don't respect them enough to confront them privately and privately only ?

i think ive spoken for my part and i will not speak for any other people involved in this ridiculous drama. i think this is all really a personal issue with random (and also khamil apparently) and i do not believe that it's my place to speak for any of them. as i think your friend said, which i think is true, im not relevant in this drama, and again im just really here to support random but also to express myself when i think that its a general matter.

so ill conclude this by saying that this is a really disappointing document. posting the insults that have been told to my friend, for no reasons other than hurting her, giving her a few really serious and uncalled for diagnosis, posting her vents from when she was a teen to make her feel vulnerable, posting hateful and ableist comments about her publicly, posting comments of people insulting vulnerable members who need to vent and more...that is so, so petty.

jay, i didnt know you for long and we weren't super close, but i still liked you a lot (/p ofc). i know you'd love to think that you're the victim and that we are all just shit talkers who hated you or whatever, but that is not the case. reading the messages of the drama after the drama has been shocking. reading your tumblr posts, reading what your friends said to my friend, reading your document, all of that have been so disappointing. not here to play violins and act dramatic btw, this is just a fact i wanted to share.

theres a lot of things unsaid, but i think that it's really random's place to speak about it, not me or anyone else. id like to respect her opinion in all of this, so ive only really spoken about what i generally think :] !! that being said, i wont post this seriously about whats going on anymore except if i need to, thats why im blocking a few people too. i want to enjoy my post without child porn being rubbed in my face. i really feel like all this other part of the fandom wants is attention, so i wont focus my whole tumblr on them lol, but calling them out is still important to me. i dont except them to change their ways since they look so sure of themselves, but anyone can dream, right ? sorry about how disorganised it is, or if my english is bad and also for my spelling mistakes lmao 🤸🤸 ty for reading this far though !! please check out random's response when it comes out !!
