The Cards Have Spoken - Week5 (@brightsun-and-darkmidnight ’s cards) Fandom: Marvel Cinematic Universe Characters: Dealer’s Choice - Loki x OC Category: Fluff - Giving/receiving gifts Relationship: Grumpy and Sunshine AU: Reincarnation Warnings/Notes: Mentions of death // I have been waiting for this AU! I could write a whole book on one of these, but I tried to tame it down to a one-shot. I am not completely sure I nailed the Grumpy and Sunshine aspect, so I tried to channel it a couple different ways. // For these, we are setting it to a minimum of 500 words. You can use these same cards for your own story if you like, but please tag me and @brightsun-and-darkmidnight so that we can see what you do! This was a different one for me, for sure. Please enjoy Words: 1377 Summary: Maria brings Loki a gift for his birthday Masterlist
           “Loki! Hey, wait up!”
Loki stopped, turning to watch as Maria trotted down the hallway. The smile that always seemed to be plastered on her face was wider than usual these days. For anyone else, he would not have been in the mood for that kind of bubbliness. But this was his Maria, and he could do nothing but indulge her.
“What is it, darling?” He asked when she was close enough to hear him speaking softly.
“I got you something.” She pulled to a stop right in front of him. That was when he noticed that she had one hand behind her back, as if to conceal something.
His eyebrow raised at her. “And why have you done that? I do not need anything.”
She giggled. “Because tomorrow’s your birthday, of course! I was going to wait, but I want to see what you think of it.” She pulled her arm from behind her, revealing a thin box wrapped in green paper. There was a gold bow on the top that took up most of the box.
He took it from her, frowning at it. “It is not my birthday tomorrow.”
“Yea, yea, different year lengths. But it’s the day that whoever made that calendar picked as yours since it was when that year corresponded with ours, so…” she waved a hand, dismissing the conversation. “Nevermind that. Just open it! I think you’ll like it.”
His frown deepened. Stark had made that infernal calendar two years ago, and even though he celebrated his birthday according to an Asgardian year, Stark had refused to change the date every year.
“If it’s different every year, no one would remember it,” he had said. “Just go with it.”
But that had been Loki’s entire point. He didn’t want people to remember it, especially on some random day of their year. But that didn’t seem to matter to them.
It didn’t seem to matter to Maria, either, but then… very much seemed to bother her at all.
It was such a stark contrast to her former self – the version of her that she was the first time they had met. Back then, she had been one of the Vanir. They had grown up together, and over the hundreds of years that they had spent together, they had fallen in love. She had been so serious back then – always trying to prove herself as the strong soldier, trying to keep up with Hogan and the others in their training. But there was a side of her that was lighthearted, loving, considerate, humorous... She had gotten into mischief right along with him. It had been a side of her that she seemed to keep in reserve, just for him. No one else had made him feel as special as she had.
But then, she had gotten into a battle that had been impossible for her to win. No one should have let her go along with the warriors, but she made the argument that she could handle herself, and she had been allowed to join. Half of the warriors that went into that battle hadn’t come home, and she had been among those to travel to Valhalla. Her absence had been a void that he didn’t think would ever be filled.
Until he met Maria, that is. He had a gift for reading souls, but he had a feeling that he would have known hers anywhere. She was so much more of her happier self in this life that there was almost no room for the serious warrior she had been before, but there was no mistaking what he could see in her soul. This was his soulmate, the one he had separated from long ago, reborn here on Midgard after all this time. And now that he had her back, he was determined to make sure he would never lose her again, and that she would want for nothing.
“Well, thank you. I am sure I will.” He said, forcing himself back to the present. He still didn’t know why she insisted on getting him things, but at least it was something small.
He carefully started toying with the paper at the edges to release the tape, not wanting to rip it to shreds. Maria was bouncing on her heels in anticipation, which he found rather odd. He hadn’t thought one could be so excited about watching someone unwrap paper. He thought back to the way that she had bounced on the balls of her feet, anticipating the start of one of their many pranks against Thor, and suddenly it seemed so fitting he couldn’t help but smile a little.
As he slid the paper off, he could see the box underneath was wooden, and had the runes that spelled his name carved into them. He ran his fingers over them, feeling the smooth edges that must have been carved by a professional hand.
           “This is very well crafted.”
“Well the box is only a part of the present, but it is a nice touch.” She was still bouncing on her heels as she spoke. “Are you going to open it?”
His eyebrow quirked upwards. “Excited, are we?”
She shrugged. “I just hope you like it.”
He obliged, taking off the lid from the box. Inside was a dagger with a beautiful blade beveled on both sides. The handle was wrapped in green leather cord, and the guard and pommel were inlaid with gold. His name was designed into the blade, once again in runes. He wasn’t even sure how it was done. He ran his fingers along the blade, but there was no indentation from it being carved in.
“It’s acid etched,” she explained. “They dip the blade in acid but keep something on those parts so they don’t change color.”
“Ah, I see.” He marveled over it, seeing all of the little details in the gold inlay, the perfection of the leather wrap, and the wavy patterns from the metal being forged together.
“Well… Do you like it?” He looked up to see Maria staring intently at him, studying his face.
He gave her a small smile. “It’s beautiful, Maria. Too beautiful to use. But I shall carry it with me.”
“But I wanted it to keep you safe!” There was worry in her expression that he did not like seeing there. “I can always get more daggers, I can’t get another you.”
The phrase brought him back to a lifetime ago. The first time they had met, she had said something so eerily similar when she gifted him the dagger that he kept for ceremonial purposes.
“Smiths can always make more daggers! I cannot replace you, my love. Please use it to keep yourself safe.”
He had argued with her then, making sure to keep it polished and at the ready for special occasions. She would always take time to make sure it was sharp to her satisfaction, though, just in case. He had tried to tell her that she need not worry – he had other daggers that he could use in a fight if he needed to. But she was adamant that he would need it one day.
This time around, he chose not to argue the point. He smiled at her lightly. “Alright, then I will use it. Thank you, my dear.” He made a mental note, though, to keep it with the other one – the one that was locked in his rooms here, that he had made sure to keep sharpened and polished in the time they had been apart.
Her smile was back immediately. “Yay! You really like it?”
           “I do.”
She ran forward and threw her arms around his neck. He embraced her with one arm, lifting her slightly from the force at which she had run forward. “Yay! I’m so glad.”
He chuckled, placing her softly back on her feet. He kept a hand on his shoulder as he pulled away, He stared into those deep, brown eyes and marveled at the love that he could see there.
Maybe one day, he would get around to telling her that they had met before. But for now, he would enjoy the simplicity of this feeling, of this love, as long as he could.

going 2 talk about a new oc i just created
Not fully decided on the pronouns, they may either be xe/xer he/xer idk for this post i'll use the former
Xer's name is Pearstar, or Pearstrike when xe was a warrior, not sure what clan xe grew up in but I'm going to leave Vineclan alone, considering Moorclan (still needs a new name) but it won't work with Moorclan's land structure.
Anyway onto the story.
Since apprentice days, Pearpaw was friends with a cat who's name was Almondpaw at the time, though Pearpaw would never admit it, the two cat's friendship was never really healthy. Almondpaw can be pretty rude to Pearpaw and uses xer's shortcomings to make themselves seem better than them. Though most cats would encourage Pearpaw to find better friends or tell Almondpaw to stop being so cruel to xer, nothing changed and Pearpaw just stuck with Almondpaw.
I don't have much thought about their warrior days but that story kicks off when Pearstrike is appointed deputy, much to Almondflight's disapproval, which they make known while the two are out hunting. They don't see why xe was given the role saying how xer's accomplishments never even scrapped the surface of being outstanding and even going as far as accusing Pearstrike of tricking (there is another word i want to use but for some unfathomable reason- i cannot think of what it is) the leader somehow to make xer deputy. Pearstrike denies it of course and xerself doesn't know exactly why their leader made xer deputy.
For some reason Almondflight lunges at Pearstrike when all of the sudden Pearstrike hears a voice that says "this isn't supposed to happen" the voice or voices tell Pearstrike what to do to dodge and how to counter Almondflight's attacks but Pearstrike doesn't know what's happening and has a difficult time processing everything. One of the voices tells Pearstrike that they'll fix this and right after, the rock formation they were standing near began collapsing. Almondflight runs off but Pearstrike's movements were stiff and xer ended up getting hit by a rock. Not a huge one- but big enough to knock xer out.
When xe wakes up, Pearstrike finds xerself surrounded by ghostly cats who are staring down at xer. One cat starts saying how they didn't expect Almondflight to straight up attack Pearstrike and other cats agree. Another cat asks how Pearstrike is doing, typing the dialouge out becuz idk how else to get the point across- italics mean they're like in response/overlapping with one another and it's just sort of all happening at once These Starclan cats found this wounded cat and once they woke up they decided to have the noisiest conversation with one another ever "I didn't expect Almondflight to do something like that." "Yea." "Me neither" "Are you feeling alright Pearstrike?" "You need to hurry up back to camp" "They're waiting for you" "Did anyone foretell this?" "This wasn't supposed to happen" "Almondflight's actions were unknown to us"
Either things settle down or some cat notices how confused Pearstrike is and they begin explaining the situation to xer. Apparently since birth, Pearstrike was meant to be some sort of savior. There was a prophecy about xer being something xer's clan needed (i haven't actually..thought about it in detail I just know there is one). Things were going fine but Almondflight did something they weren't supposed to/wasn't predicated by the Starclan cats.
This just adds to Pearstrike's confusion and xe is undeniably freaked out. Xe looks at the Starclan cats- how they're more interested in talking to one another about what should have happened and how things didn't go according to plan, only a few tried to show some care/worry about Pearstrike. Xe left the Starclan cats without saying anything and made xer's way back to camp. (Not sure on the details with what happen but here's a time skip)
Pearstrike is now Pearstar.
Every so often, Pearstar will either get a dream or just hear a Starclan cat during a random time of the day telling xer what's to happen and how to deal with it. It's not really a power per se, more so just Starclan dropping by and saying hello & here's how ur clan is going to suffer in the next moon or two.
Pearstar feels as if xer's attention is divided, xe is supposed to be focusing on what's happening *now* and making sure each other xer's clanmates are well and fed. Pearstar is a fine leader and having Starclan drop these tips about what's to come isn't helping. I think I might making the reasoning for this be; Pearstar's prophecy doesn't seem to be coming true- whatever xe was supposed to stop isn't showing it's head to Starclan so they're just making sure this clan is in tiptop shape.
Also another thing, the fact that apparently things followed a script? Every day in Pearstar's life was expected to go that way- until Almondflight attacked. Every hardship Pearstar faced was supposed to happen and xe getting over that was supposed to go exactly that way. That didn't feel right to Pearstar and thinking about it more and more wasn't helping either. Pearstar was feeling constricted. Xe was leader, xe is supposed to be leading this clan the way xe feels is right- not following fate's tail. Was this how leaders before led? With Starclan settled on their shoulder telling them what to do? The leader before didn't seem this way, at all. Maybe Pearstar just wasn't fit for the job...but no that's not it. Xe can led xer's clan just fine, it's just Starclan won't leave xe alone.
Things continue going downhill for xe until Pearstar feels completely out of control and comes to xer's snapping point. One cloudy night, xe just bolts out of camp and doesn't return for days. No cat has seen where their leader went and hasn't picked up xer's scent at all.
The story is lot less planned this point but I think,,,the clan has moved on. Pearstar's deputy is now leader and the clan is functioning as usual. Since Pearstar's "purpose" is no longer known to Starclan, they probably convinced the deputy to step up. No cat has seen Pearstar in moons.
I have other ideas for this but I need to form them better (+ this post is getting pretty long already)

My OC, Fenris
... and the Eldarya AU that she’s in, because I just can’t see her in the original Origins storyline with her differences from Guardienne/Erika. And I think my AU has some pretty interesting ideas. I’ll explain it after I introduce her.
Yea, I know, Fenris Theorem, Fenris, it all connects, huh? Hehe. I like the name, that’s all.
(This page is informational, so it’s written in a bit more of a note-taking fashion rather than a story fashion. It’s written in a very choppy manner but it’s comprehensible despite not having any stress on having it beautifully written.)
This page just introduces you to my OC. I decided to create a page on her for the poll (now ended) because I think some people will really like small excerpts on her story with Lance, but obviously you need to know about her before deciding that for sure. You’ll notice that some theories I may have posted on Lance in the past are a part of this AU - these theories have been in my mind and I posted them only because I thought they could exist in the actual plotline (it’s where a lot of my theories come from, and then some ideas fit into the AU, and then some ideas could exist in the actual plotline as well based on what I observe), so this is where some of those theories come from.
For the poll - if anything, I would recommend reading the paragraph titled “*Her story in Origins (where many things are explained in moderation, because if I went in-depth I wouldn’t need to write stories on this):” above all else because that describes what I will be writing if the poll results shows that that’s wanted. Everything else is just extra information for you to know my OC and the AU better. The paragraph is at the bottom of the post.
Above all else, this is an AU, and a fantasy world. I like to try to give rationality and logic to a lot of things, so you’ll read a lot of me explaining things, but at the end of the day it’s all fantasy and can be perceived - and therefore approved or unapproved of - in a multitude of ways. If you like my AU but find it illogical in some ways, that’s no problem! Just enjoy reading about it if you enjoy the ideas within it. 😊
~ This is long so continue below the cut ~
A lot of this information can be a bit vague at first but it comes together when I explain the basic plot.
Her basics: She goes by Fenris but her actual name is Dakota. However, people usually call her Kota, or occasionally Ko (Fen is used later for Fenris, first by Ashkore / Lance, but later when she was discovered by the guard as well). She was 18 when she came to Eldarya via mushroom circle (like Guardienne/Erika). The guard test placed her in the Obsidian guard - she’s very happy with that outcome. Was in a relationship with Valkyon before leaving him for Lance (*explained later).
Physical Appearance: Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of her and nothing in Eldarya describes her and her clothing very well, so you’ll just need to imagine the physical features that I describe on Eldarya’s Guardienne sprite. Also, she’s pretty flexible with how she styles her hair and dresses, so I don’t think a single picture of her would describe her well.
Fair and light in skin tone, perhaps a slight tan-ish tone. Thin, but broad shouldered. She’s well-muscled (later on, less so when she first arrived), which gives her a bit of thickness, but not too much. Nicely curved. About 5 ft. 5 in. (167.64 cm). Dark hair, but not exactly black, with brown-hazel eyes. Her hair is medium-length and is usually braided in a multitude of styles. Her eyes occasionally glow a brilliant gold (explained under ‘abilities and genetics’ and ‘her story in Origins’).
Usually wears dark, ancient / tribal-like clothes (think Norse Vikings) with thin, form-fitting but strong armor around her forearms, lower legs (below the thigh starting from knees) and chest/midriff. She wears a good amount of red, blue, gold, silver or dark green clothing and accents with the black base for color. Usually nothing over-the-top, she likes to have her own unique style and express herself but doesn't like to draw unnecessary attention. Doesn't like most faux fur as it doesn't look nice in her opinion, but may wear some that she likes occasionally. Is more likely to wear real fur from hunted animals, but doesn't wear it too often. She wears a sword on her hip, and has a few semi-concealed daggers placed on her body (thigh, boot, torso) for quick use if needed.
Personality: She has a wide spectrum of how she acts depending on people, situations, what she knows, and her current mood. She's typically quite calm, and doesn't seek for trouble or drama, however, she does like to hear the recent news/gossip from around the guard; to stay updated on things, know what may effect her, try to think ahead and just for the sake of knowing. She's very curious and typically observes the situation around her, but in a very subtle way. Is a planner and likes to think ahead, and usually knows how to react to anything because of her observations and forward thinking. Around friends, she's very kind and welcoming. They can talk about anything to her and she'll keep her mouth shut - she has a good loyalty streak (but it does have a limit). However, she doesn't have any friends that are like family to her, but on the day she does find friends like that her loyalty will truly be endless. It's ride or die, and she'll always stand by their side. She has a major independent streak and can’t be around people for too long, otherwise she’ll crack and get a bit irritated more easily. She likes her alone time. In general, she's very cordial with people. Again, she doesn't like to cause unnecessary trouble or drama - she's had a rough past (discussed under ‘history’) and quickly shuts down anyone doing so in a professional but aggressive, don’t-argue-with-me sort of way. She can be harsh, cold and withholding - especially with people she genuinely dislikes - but doesn't like to act this way. On the note of people she dislikes- it's hard to get her to truly dislike someone, but it can be a bit easy as well. In general rule, as long as someone is conscious of the reality of the world around them and doesn't seek to cause issues, she's fine with them, but the instant someone starts continually spreading rumors that are clearly false, or acts (especially in a way that hurts others) solely in their selfish interests, or takes part in willful ignorance (purposely ignoring an issue that you know shouldn’t be ignored), she keeps note of that person and reminds herself to be wary of them in the future. They could be a source of trouble or misinformation that may need to be stopped, and she won’t be very forgiving. However, this is just a general rule, it doesn't always apply - remember she can change based on the situation and what she knows. She recognizes that sometimes people dislike things that are good for them, or like harmful things, and sometimes the villain is actually the hero, history and set rules are created by the winners and anyone against it is considered the villain, and sometimes you need to be cruel to be merciful. She's fully aware that sometimes the bad of life is good, and may defend that, but she's always sure to think long and hard about it before giving a decision like that. A lot of terrible things have happened to her, so she tries to avoid being a source of those terrible things for the world. She feels emotions very deeply and can be a bit impulsive, but fortunately she’s not typically hurt or gets others hurt due to her impulsivity. Again, she is very curious and observes things a lot, so she can usually get a good read on anything new she comes across and work from there, or she can use other information she knows and apply it to the situation. That being said, she won’t drag her friends or anyone else into her occasionally dangerous impulsive decisions. She’ll offer it if they’d like to join her, but she won’t pressure them. Their safety is their decision, and she’ll do her best to protect them although she can’t truly guarantee it. Being in the Obsidian guard, she can’t really condone anyone to risk their safety for fun, especially if it’s her idea. She has a good sense of responsibility when she works for what she believes in, and will sacrifice some of her comfort and fun making sure that she follows her responsibilities if needed. On the topic of her guard - when she first came to Eldarya and joined the Obsidian guard, she wasn’t too bad of a fighter upon basic training, but it was when she started training with Ashkore / Lance where her skills greatly improved until she was perhaps the best fighter in the guard, rivaled only by a few other warriors - including Valkyon. She’s not against helping others improve, but she’s very careful with what she tells the guard - if anyone knew her skills were due to Ashkore, she’d be in massive trouble and may be treated as a complete accomplice. She doesn’t like to lie unless truly necessary, so she’ll usually withhold lots of damning information, and she thoroughly thinks over everything she says, any possible answers to theoretical questions, how her words can connect with other things, and how it might be taken from someone else’s perspective, before revealing any information. Did I mention she’s very cunning and smart, especially after knowing Lance? She has prior knowledge in how to utilize sarcasm and wit, but that’s also improved after meeting Lance.
She changes in time to be quite a bit more harsh and unforgiving when she starts working with Lance.
(For media reference, think of Lagertha from Vikings and Octavia from Netflix’s The 100. She’s a bit of a combination between the two, both in personality and appearance, although Octavia represents her a bit better in appearance.)
Abilities and Genetics: When she first came to Eldarya, she had no idea of her faery genetics. She never felt as though she belonged with humans and always felt that something was off, but she truly thought she was human genetically - until the guard had her take a test and realized she apparently had some faery blood in her (like what actually happened in the original plotline). She went a good while not knowing about what her genetics were, until Lance told her she was a dragon. She learned her abilities under his mentorship, and found that - to be more specific - she’s a shadow dragon. Her shadows appear usually like a pitch black fog, but can be manipulated into almost any form; hard or soft, thin or thick, curved or straight. It has a bit of a cold feel, but she can’t actually control the temperature of her shadows. She can adjust the color of her shadows along a grey-scale until it looks like any grey or silver, even looking like normal fog, but she can’t make it lighter than silver. She can also make pre-existing shadows darker or lighter depending on what she wants. Being a dragon, she also has a dragon form and can shift into a half-transformed body (like what’s seen with Tia). She has premonitions and prophecies as well. This ability typically manifests in dreams and can come to her the night before it manifests in reality, or even sometimes years in advance - there’s really no way to know. She struggles a lot trying to learn this - and to learn the difference between a premonition dream and just a normal dream - and has some basic understanding of it’s rules. She has absolutely no control over when she has these dreams, but she can occasionally put herself in a bit of a calm, meditative state where she can observe her surroundings enough to faintly feel energies, and from there she can receive some premonitions. When she receives premonitions or prophecies while awake, her eyes glow a brilliant gold - this stems from a more spiritual side of her genetics (*explained later). This ability to very hard to control, though, and can rarely be done despite her persistence in it.
History: She... didn’t have a very peaceful life. Since her birth, her parents had basically been at war with each other. She grew up under a distinct combination of good influences and bad influences from both parents, but for the most part her mother was her major support as her father failed to be there for her. Neither extended family had much impact, but her father’s family knew of the terrible things he did and didn’t do anything. She continues to hold a grudge against many humans for being forced to live an endangered upbringing when she and her mother were so clearly crying for help. However, she’s aware that this is also what drives her some days, as she didn’t live through all of that just to die shamefully with an unlived life. In time, her grudge against humans has calmed, but it flares back up whenever she’s reminded or learned about something terrible that humans have caused or do currently - it’s a continuous battle and she has a hard time giving an honest opinion on humanity due to her complex emotions. She came to Eldarya when she was 18 (like Guardienne/Erika) and the rest is history (*and is explained below).
Relationships: Miiko is... alright. It’s a bit of a love hate relationship sometimes, but Fenris is usually quite cordial with her. Nevra and Ezarel were irritating at first, but Nevra’s lovableness and Ezarel’s humor slowly grew on her. She liked Valkyon when she first arrived and somewhat quickly pursued a relationship with him. She didn’t mind Leiftan - he was always very kind and left her alone while being cordial (remember, she’s not an angel in this so Leiftan wouldn’t be into her like how he was with Guardienne/Erika). Karuto is like the good father she never had, but she puts her foot down with him on occasion - she doesn’t like to be told what to do, scolded, treated like a child or anything. This is only because she views him in a bit of a fatherly way, and doesn’t want a repeat of her original father. She makes sure he knows that she truly appreciates him, though. Jamon is a bit of a brother if anything, but he’s really just a close friend / colleague that she likes a lot. She appreciates his gentleness and protectiveness for everyone. Ewelein is basically a second mom, she reminds Fenris a lot of her mom back on Earth and has a deep respect for the Elf. Chrome is a bit like an irritating little brother, but she also has a sisterly affection for him. Ykhar and Kero are the panic colleagues; she has a hard time seeing them doing anything else than panicking. She worries a bit for their health as long-term stress is destructive and tries to be as comforting and as nice as possible with them without betraying her personality and morals. Karenn and Alajea are close friends, almost sisterly, but not exactly so. She’s a bit closer with Karenn than she is with Alajea. Cameria is similar to Karenn in the way that she has a bit of a sisterly relationship with Fenris, but in more of a battle partner way. They have a tendency to train together a lot, and they heavily trust each other to have their back in war. Huang Hua is a bit of a friend / leader - she respects the phoenix a lot and has a bit of a close friendly relationship with her. Feng Zifu is a bit of a father figure in the manner that she respects him a lot. She likes to listen to his advice and appreciates his formality.
The AU: So before I explain the plot of the AU, I need to explain a few basics of how I set up the world. In this AU, the crystal breaking could destroy Eldarya, but if it’s shattered in a certain way with certain spells and chants, it’ll release the spirits of the dragons (who sacrificed to create the crystal) and allow them to retain a sort of half-living form - basically they’re alive but... not? It’s weird to  explain. Why does the crystal breaking in this way not destroy Eldarya? The sacrifice allowed a release of energy that originally created the world and then primarily manifested into the shape of the crystal that maintains that world, so this ritual that would be preformed upon it’s shattering would basically allow the energy of the dragons to maintain the world while allowing them to roam around in a different form - hence why they’d be half alive in a way. They’d be physical, but they have additions and limits on what they can and can’t do because they’re still technically dead. However, this isn’t common knowledge (because the guard protects the crystal, they’re the ‘only’ source of ‘accurate’ information on the crystal and both Yonuki Kaze and Miiko have stated that if the crystal breaks Eldarya will fall), only Lance has figured this out (and many of his mercenaries believe him or are working with him because of his destructive habits), so due to this, his ambitions are sort of split in two; destroy the crystal to revive the dragons, and destroy anyone who may try to stop him. In terms of history, Lance in this AU witnessed Miiko (and Nevra - there’s a history behind that that I won’t go into right now) sacrificing dragons to the crystal when he was a part of the guard to try and maintain balance and confronted her about it, only for her to threaten him (in basic; she was convinced sacrificing was the only way to keep balance, and that’s because Yonuki Kaze influenced her into thinking that, so from her perspective Lance coming along and saying it was wrong and had to stop was basically him saying to let the world die) to not tell anyone and stay out of it. Lance then spent a while researching and devising an idea on how to actually balance the world and this included destroying the crystal in a specific way to release the energy (technically there are two ways; the sacrifice was supposed to happen with dragons AND angels, so the ritual was devised to work with the two, but a ritual originally for two races used only with one is basically a ritual preformed improperly, and therefore bound to yield improper results - hence the infertility of the world and shiftiness of it. Undoing the ritual would allow the world to stay while “canceling out the sacrificial imbalance”, but if an angel or demon were to willingly sacrifice - preferably alongside a dragon at the same time - then it would be solved in that way as well). Lance tried to explain this to Miiko later, only to barely get past “I have another idea” before being shut down again. He kept quiet because he feared for himself and his brother (and the only reason Lance could have known that dragons were being sacrificed - without being a dragon himself - is that Miiko said it during the sacrifice he saw, so he didn’t want to raise suspicion onto him and his brother). Later on, Lance is sent to lead an army in a foreign land and is nearly killed, but he saw a chance to escape the guard and took it. From there he’s been Ashkore.
Basically this AU - instead of being “oh no, he’s trying to destroy the world because he’s angry and hurt” - is actually more like “if you had listened the world could be stabilized and also a powerful race could be revived.” It takes the trope of hero and villain and twists it, so the villain is actually a bit of an underdog, villainous hero while the hero’s are - in a way - villains who are heroes because their damning stories haven’t been revealed in a wide-spread manner. Overall, it’s supposed to blur the lines of good and bad, and right and wrong - showing that both sides have good and bad within them, and which side is ‘good’ can depend solely on perception and one’s life anecdote.
*Her story in Origins (where many things are explained in moderation, because if I went in-depth I wouldn’t need to write stories on this): Dakota came to Eldarya by accident via mushroom circle and was placed into the Obsidian guard. She adjusted in time (and willingly took the potion in episode 13 to ease her family / mother of pain and worry) until she got used to things and entered into a romantic relationship with Valkyon. She was sent on basic missions and such and met Ashkore a few times in war (and around the guard), and then she met him accidentally while alone later on outside of the guard. He offered to train her (more like threatened if she didn’t?) and she accepted in time. They trained at night, which was a bit of an issue as she now shared a room with Valkyon and, therefore, had to sneak around. Her skills quickly improved, and her relationship with Valkyon began to decline as he began to become a bit confused / suspicious about her sudden and seemingly random upturn in skills. There were feelings of neglect as well. This carried on for many months and Dakota learned more about Ashkore as well as herself. He eventually admits that she’s a dragon and that he’s investing some of himself into her because of that, and she does her best to explore her abilities with him after that. Eventually she accidentally discovers his actual identity, but keeps quiet about it. As they grow closer, she begins to ask more about him and his reasoning, and he explains his motives for going after the crystal while brushing on the topic of why he’s ruthless to some, but leaves others alone. As she discovers the truth about the dragons and Lance, she realizes that her feelings to the guard were based on lies and false implications, and she begins to grow mentally and emotionally closer with Lance. She becomes less empathetic / sympathetic with Valkyon and eventually sleeps with Lance. This happens a few more times and they enter a sort of limbo where they don’t talk about their relationship with each other but know there’s something heavy going on. Back in the guard, she’s still with Valkyon, and she begins an internal war on what exactly her plan is knowing that she’s sleeping with two guys on the opposite side of a war and that it can’t continue. Her and Valkyon break up in time and she invests her full time into training with Lance, expressing interest in joining his cause. They begin to work together and he gifts her with a specific outfit / armor (that can alternate between identity concealing and revealing for her comfort and safety) so she can go on missions with him. They develop an elaborate scheme to allow her to go on long-term missions with him without suspicion from the guard. She’s eventually sent on a mission and it’s on that mission that she discovers her relation to an ancient dragon named Fenris, and then expresses her interest in taking that name to Lance and the rest of his allies that she’s met (from then on she’s known as Fenris with Lance and Dakota in the guard). Back at the guard, she continues training with Lance and maintaining some sort of odd relationship with himin secret. She’s found elaborate ways to get out of the guard without their suspicion so she can spend many days at a time alone with Lance in a cabin he has hidden in the forest. Over the span of many months / years, she goes on missions with the guard to foreign towns / establishments that are attacked by Ashkore - whether she knows that prior or not - so as she trains she also has actual encounters where she needs to truly fight Lance without actually hurting him while looking as though she’s truly trying to hurt him. When she’s allegedly away on some missions from the guard, she wears the armor that Lance gave her to campaign with him and this occasionally leads to her fighting against the guard if they’re around. In this time and when they’re alone, Lance and allies calls her Fenris as she’s requested them to do. Eventually they go to Memoria together and find out that they have a deeper connection than they think - Fenris (who was an ancient dragon that Dakota took the name of due to her relation with him) and Tia actually knew each other and had a complex history that carried forward to Lance and Dakota / Fenris, and there’s a prophecy of sorts surrounding them. Their relationship after that is still complex, but is more stable as they confirm an attachment to each other. Lance’s identity is eventually revealed to the guard, and sometimes later Fenris is revealed as well, and Lance - in very short, important seconds - offers her to join him completely outside the guard’s walls. She accepts and they flee the guard for a while and plot. Eventually they attack the guard in a final push and get to the crystal, successfully breaking it with... some losses. From there is the skip to ANE, but New Era is... complicated. I haven’t yet thought how she fits into ANE, as many things would be different. Maybe I won’t put pressure on creating her story in it, but if I do I might list it here. Her story in ANE would need to be based off of her story I have here in Origins.
If I write excerpts of this, there may also be many more adventure scenarios that are written but aren’t mentioned here (Lance offering to “help” the guard bring down another greater threat and then turning his forces on them in the midst of war for his own gain, sending them on a wild goose chase, the guard tracking them through rough, unforgiving landscapes trying to catch them, etc.) depending on how the details of her story manifest.
I apologize; that’s a lot to read but I can be very specific and this AU has a lot of important detail that separates it from the original Origins storyline. And this talks over my OC’s details and an AU, which is a lot since there’s not a lot of referencing because I’ve never talked about either before... However, if you’ve read all the way through this post - congrats, and I hope you’re interested in it!
Again, writing excerpts about my OC and her storyline in this AU is an option you can vote on in my writing poll that determines what I’ll write now so I can post later when I can’t access my Tumblr for a few weeks, so if you’re interested in reading about this then please read the info I have about the poll here and feel free to vote!

A Vegeta x OC Fanfiction (part 3)¤ ¤ ¤
Many things ran through her mind and all she could think was, abit of excitement! Something to prove herself and show her worth, that shes not just some pretty piece to hang onto the emperor's arm, she pushes the button on the wall and the door to the Saiyan chambers and comes face to face with Nappa out of his armor. “Calamatta! Was just wondering why it took you so long to get back!” He smiled down at her and rubbed his hand over his bald scalp.
The sliding door shut and they both walked side by side in tandem, Calamatta walked abit faster to keep pace with Nappa. “Did Vegeta tell you about the mission?” “Briefly! He didnt look too happy about it.. What gives.” She gets to her room and she sighs a bit anticipatory for this month long excursion made extermination mission.
“Vegeta and I are to go to this one super planet… to completely wipe within a month but its just the both of us.” Nappa blinks and shakes his head Raising his eyebrow his eyebrow looking down at the small Saiyan. “Are you serious? Dont get me wrong your great at conquering planets entirely, but… what happens if you dont.” Calamatta looks away from Nappa and her tail deflates to the floor. “I...Dont know..” She answers. At the end of the day,  Saiyan or not shes terrified of what could happen, the last thing she wants is to have everything come crashing down all because of her.
Nappa stood up straight and pat her on the shoulder and startled her straight out of her stupor, grinning. “hey now! Where's that pride you had in you earlier!? Dont you get down on yourself now that your life's on the line!" She gawped at him and shook her head. "What do you-"  "What i mean is when you start facing something dire, you gotta pull your head out of your ass and charge forward!!" He bellows to her, Raditz shuffled over to her and pat her shoulder. Both of them looking down upon her. "Listen to Nappa. Hes got experience on all of us.. and you're a killer. Youll realize that when you get to To-Rot."
Calamatta nodded and smiled hopefully for the first time in a while. Actual hope. Actual excitement! "Thank you Nappa." "AHEM" Calamatta rolled her eyes and punched Raditz in the arm. "Yea yea thank you too Raditz…" she turned and went into her room, holding her suit up she twitched and groaned. "Your fucking with me…" her tail deflated to thw floor.
She put the suit on and goddamn did she think of herself as some kind of joke, she knows she's shapely but this is egregious. A form fitting blue bodysuit bikini type briefs and short sleeves to her elbow, the new armor covered her chest in a more shapely manner than the men. She rolled her eyes shamelessly, checked herself out in the mirror and pulled up her boots and jumped upon hearing hard pounding on the door. "Calamatta? You decent?"
It was Vegeta
"I mean yea." The door slid open and he was focused on the holopad in his hand to  notice what she looked like "dinner is ready. Get out of your room and ……." He had to do a double take and it kinda made her sneer "its the… new suit Lord Frieza wants me to wear." He made a disgusted face and turned his head "W-whatever just come out so we can eat and you can turn in…" he turned fully and the prince blushed a tiny bit.
Calamatta followed side by side with him and he kept with all his might to keep his eyes forward. "A-are you serious.. they made you wear th-" "yeap.. trust me it's uncomfortable to walk around in." she kept her eyes forward heading to the table with Nappa and Raditz who both simultaneously dropped their food. "Nice costume change! You can see those killer legs!" Nappa barked, bringing alittle attention to the small Saiyan and making her face red as hell. "Nappa, i'm pretty sure she wants to be wall paper at this point." Raditz kicked his shin and pushed a plate over to her. "Eat up, Cala.." she groaned.
They spent their time sitting together all eating except Cala who earned some hoots and hollers. A degrading damn get up for a saiyan who wants to be seen for more then yarm candy to the fucking emperor.. her respect for him has dindled to 0 but she has to cater to him till the 20 hours are up.. she dejectedly pushes the rest of her food away "i cant eat anymore." She sat up and realized theres a chair flush against her back "no your gonna eat.." Raditz protests as he nudges her shoulder.. a big brother figure to the little saiyan.. she felt more comfortable near him, no matter how big a jackass he is. "No damn saiyan is going hungry because of whay they have to wear." He glares at her, and smirks.
Vegeta looks at her and leans back. "We will walk back with you to ensure you dont get any seedy looks." "Dontcha think thats pathetic" she said between bites. "Nonsense.. as the last woman of our kind you deserve alittle respect." Raditz protested, earning a curt nod from both Nappa and Vegeta.
Her mini family is small, its made up of men. But it's all she's got and she's got a hefty amount of respect for them all.
The four walked in tandem with one another Raditz and Calamatta leading the way and Nappa and Vegeta following.
"So does being a daughter of a general give you a leg up?" Raditz asked, tucking his hands behind his head, Calamatta walked with her hands folded in front of her, peering over at the tall long haired Saiyan. “I mean. Not entirely, same sort of treatment as everyone else here actually! Im just something pretty to gawk at while Lord Frieza does what he needs to.” Vegeta pipes up keeping his voice dead flat as he makes his point known. “If any race sees Frieza with a Saiyan at his side they’ll perceive him as a threat. Why do you think he has her within arms reach.. A warrior race reduced to a pet and something to look at is insulting but i cant necessarily blame her for not going after him.” He flippantly rolls his eyes. “I suppose your right… Calamatta is basically the next best thing to Vegeta.” “Hey now i'm not that great… i only went out once with yall.” She nudges Raditz and rolls her eyes.
The 4 were stopped in their tracks when Zarbon cut a corner and met with them, promptly making the tension between the four starkly apparent. “So apes travel in packs now? Hmhm.. Calamatta. Come. I wish to speak with you please.” The tall reptilian walked in the opposite direction of the saiyans, shoulder checking the Saiyan prince causing the vein in his forehead become more prominent, he crossed his arms and scoffed, raising his chin and moving forward. “Well go follow the vain bastard…” Vegeta growls and marches away. Calamatta turned on her heels and ran to catch up to him.
Zarbon had his hands behind his back beneath his cape, he chuckled upon seeing the short saiyan besides him. “Took you long enough, Calamatta.” “What is it you wanted to speak with me about Zarbon?” He ushers her into a room overlooking a massive planet, ripe with lush greenery and red deserts. “Thats the planet you and Vegeta are set to conquer. It has a high population density of 4 billion. What that document that Vegetas been analyzing doesnt mention the fact that the planet experiences a full moon every other day. The inhabitants will attack on sight… i should know weve sent 15 other squads before you and Vegeta.” Calamatta gawked at the planet then up to Zarbon. “Why are we just being sent then?” “I asked the same to Lord Frieza… He said he sees the prince of nothing as an excellent protege and this will prove Frieza right if one or the both of you return in one whole piece.” Calamatta looked over the two multi colored belts in the distance.. One bright white and the other red, absolutely magnificent and terrifying in retrospect. The magnitude of this entire planet was bigger then shes ever seen before.
While she was busy being thunderstruck she was caught off guard by a weighted cloth on her shoulder. Becoming strapped to her one shoulder followed by Zarbon cooing. “Its a shame Dodoria doesn't really like your acquaintance. You'd be beautiful as a General.” It caught her off guard as he adjusted it perfectly to her armor, the end of his long velvety cape dragged haphazardly on the floor.
“Dodoria… i never understood why he never liked me...what about you Zarbon? You have been so kind to me for years and you really don't have to be.” The green haired general tilted his head and sighed as he took two hair bands from his wrist and walked behind Calamatta and started to pull her hair back. “You're just a kid. You'll never understand the position Dodoria is in. He wants to be the general in the spotlight instead of you.”
Calamatta remained silent and allowed him to pull her hair into two large buns on her head, he pulled any fly aways out and reviewed her facial features in the reflective window. “I honestly could give a damn one way or another but on account of why I like you is purely because you're not like the rest of your ape-ish race.. You're pretty, you have a defined face and you have a way of carrying yourself with grace and poise… the amount of times i have heard other alien councils talk about how attractive you are adds to Lord Frieza's intimidation factor..A beautiful little warrior on his arm is a display of power... So yes he prefers you much more highly then the likes of Dodoria.” He pats her shoulders and she looks back at herself. She never puts her hair up so this is something new.
Two large pretty black buns on her head, loose fly aways of her hair make her look effortless, she could actually see her gold piercings on her ears. “You have plenty of hair so i couldnt put it all in one hair tie…” The hatch door to the side slid open, the two of them turn to see Lord Frieza seated in his chair, a small smile grew on his face as he saw Calamatta all dolled up.
“Well WELL my little monkey is playing dress up! OHohohohooo stunning.” Calamatta goes to disrobe the cape and is promptly stopped by Zarbon. “Keep it Calamatta. It suits you. Farewell.” He turns on his heel and saunters out of the room leaving her and the Emperor in this room. She bows respectfully to him, when she raises back up Frieza is out of his chair, tail fluttering around with his arms behind his back.
Calamatta gulped while Frieza analyzed her up close; both her and the emperor are easily the same height but the Saiyan knew her place to him. Behave and dont die. “I want you to take a good look at that planet right there. Realize that you and Vegeta are my star pupil...and that being the star pupil means that one of you two simians is the best!” He preens and moves the cape to see her hands held at her front, he smirks devilishly and tilts his head.
“That suit looks very nice on you, powerful shapely little legs for a warrior..” He raises his hand and makes a fist to emphasize the word power. Calamatta remains quiet and blushes alittle bit. “Thank you, Lord Frieza.. What exactly do you mean by the best..? I only helped out with one planet!” She stated only to be met with the steely flat stare of Frieza.
“What im saying is that i expect you to listen to what i say, woman…” She nodded obediently and her tail droops abit. “Yes Lord Frieza sorry..-” She was cut off almost instantly “Hush now Calamatta if you know whats good for you.” He states making little calamatta bite on her lips.
“Good.. Both of you are excellent but just so you know so you dont get a big head about it… Vegeta is the better of the two of you.. By lightyears infact.. I suspect that Zarbon told you that I plan on making Vegeta my protégé, I dont expect you to be any better than what you already are, your prince would possibly say the same of you… your untrained and unskilled in anything and i'm surprised you even came back alive and without a scratch, girl. The three other apes were to see you as useless and not want you anymore… not want you apart of their damned group.”
Calamatta looked upon Frieza disheartened, her stomach dropped to her feet and she felt like nothing, like her purpose was to be nothing more then a pretty face and nothing more, living a hollow existence. SHe felt ultimately like nothing. She twiddled her thumbs infront of her and drooped her head abit.
“Oh now now Calamatta.. No need to look so sad.. I'm just speaking the truth to you, child… Here i know a way of earning your trust. Give me your tail.” Her head shot up and she gulped. “My-my tail?” She shivered and let her long pretty fully groomed tail come from behind her back and with trepidation she handed her most sensitive-untrained limb- to Frieza.
"You stupid little runt…" The Emperor smirked and narrowed his eyes closing his fist tightly around the tail sending Calamatta to the floor with a pained cry and a beg. “L-Let it go please! Frieza please!!” SHe begged him feeling this hot pain rocket up her back as she looked at the emperors feet through pained tears.
Her head raised to be met with the end of Frieza’s pointer finger inches from her nose. "The prodigal prince is no where to be seen to protect you now.. oh woe is you.." The very one that death beams people without care. She panted heavily, started to sweat and tear up “W-Why I dont understa-”
Frieza’s voice became dark and grave, she feared Frieza but this was a side of him she had never seen first hand and to be directed at her. “Your life though as entertaining as it is.. Is forfeit to me. You only serve your worth as useful until I become bored of you and when I do you will die by my hand. You will come to realize that on To-Rot your life is just as forfeit to Vegeta as it is to me… Vegeta works alone, I know him better than anyone here, Calamatta. You will discover that when your need is used up and you're on the ground begging for help… he will gladly leave you to die… tragic isn't it…? To be worthless to everyone including your own races Prince…”
He furrowed his brow and stared her sadistically in her face and chuckled upon seeing a single tear. “I dont expect you to return after your little trip… should you return you can go with your little mates so they can ravage you.” He growled and released her tail making her tail disappear under the cape, she gasps and scrambles to her feet. “You are excused, Calamatta. Sleep well!” He turned on his lizard-like feet and left to his hoverpod. Leaving Calamatta frightened, depressed… and worthless.
She just wanted to go to bed. She just wanted to stop caring. She just wanted to feel like a Saiyan.
The day had drawn to a close and the 4 waved eachother off to wish each other a good night, Vegeta said nothing and returned to his room. The small saiyan lay down in her bed and fell asleep very quickly, a deep peaceful and relaxing sleep to ease her tense and tight muscles and weary emotional state.
5 hours later Vegeta opened her room door and walked right in like he belonged there. the prince being deep in thought and not really in any mood to fully wake Calamatta up. He sat at the end of her bed and looked through acouple files. That being the inhabitants of To-Rot.
An insatiably hungry and carnivorous race that wiped the original inhabitants of the planet by the guise of an infection which then grew into hunger then a form or zombified state where food is the only primary objective, while still maintaining full sentience they scour the planet for new victims to eat or to find other like minded groups and repopulate. Vegeta sneered and twitched at the sight.. both he and Calamatta wont be the first of the Frieza Force to go there, and meet an untimely demise. "Dammit.." he grunts and the female saiyan begins to stir sitting up in bed to see the spikey haired prince hunched over with his chin in his hand at the foot of rhe bed.
"Hm…? Vegeta.. what gives?" She yawned and gently kicked the princes back with her bare feet. "Read this.. brush up on what were going to face.. its not going to be easy. Especially with me doing all the heavy lifting." He growls and hands her the holo pad. "Hey.. i'm just as capable as you dont give me that crap when i just wake up, Vegeta..." "im not 'giving you crap' i'm being realistic and percautionary. The planet before hand wasn't that hard. This ones lethal and were not the firsts to go here" she pulls her tail under the covers of her blanket and rubs her eyes. Still very in a daze of sleep. "If you are tryna scare me im not scared. Well be fine and well do this planet and ill be with the 3 of yall." She reads over the holopad.
Feeling a sense of dread and nervousness bubble up in her stomach. "Dont pass that arrogance around so easily… its not just YOUR neck on the line here its mine. And i'm not willing to die because you end up being cocky." "Can you lighten up? Your the one that came into my room and looked pretty comfy at the end of my bed." She retorts to the prince who looks mighty taken aback by the implication hes looking comfy around her.
"Gah! Quit with your nonsensical babbling and take this seriously! Ugh.. just read that over.. ill be in my room. Ill see you in 5 hours, i need my sleep too." He goes to the door. "Vegeta, you haven't slept yet?" He stops before the button, confused as to what's with the change in tone, he turns his head and looks at her through his bangs that still hung in his face. "Please.. sleep for like.. a little longer than that. Ok? I need you as much as you need me" she asked and smiled softly, pressing her hand to her chest.
Vegeta scoffed and blushed from nose to the tips of his ears "worry about yourself, woman… go to sleep" the begrudging prince leaves and Cala smirks. Laying back and looking at the ceiling and sighing a tear ran down her cheek and she grit her teeth hard.
“Atleast he pretends to give a damn…” Calamatta sighed wearily. CUrling in on herself and letting herself fall back into her slumber.

14.) “Please...stay...” Debbigail
This was requested by cartoonromantic. If this fic had a title, it would be “Their Stars”. The OCs that I mention in here belong to @thatsweetestdream (Vela and William) and @sophfandoms53 (Skye, Chase, and Danny). I hope you guys enjoy!
Flashback
“Oops.”
That was the last thing Webby heard before the lights cut out, leaving her petrified and swallowed in the pitch of the room.
Someone cut the lights. She’d be fine if she were in her room, at least there she had her back up lights, not to mention, her glow stars. But standing in the middle of the hallway with nothing, caused her to silently panic as she debated on feeling around or not.
She could feel her sanity slowly slipping through her fingers as a familiar warmness begun to prick at the creases of her eyes. Her breathing was more rapid than usual, as if she ran a marathon. Her heart beat a mile a minute. She didn’t know what scared her more, the thought of her heart beating out of her chest, or the darkness- well she isn’t afraid of death so it must be the darkness...it’s definitely the darkness! At least no one could see her cry, she guessed.
Webby was this fierce warrior in their eyes, and crying would show her weakness. They’d think less of her if they knew how truly weak she was! The girl grasped at her head, squeezing her eyes shut, only making her tears and fear build up more rapidly. She needed to maintain herself in front of them, so the power being cut off was in one way a good thing. She could cry and freak out all she wanted now that no one could judge her. Reputation as the hardest to contain in her opinion. Why was she like this?
She didn’t even know if she was moving or still frozen in place!? Most likely the latter. Thankfully she could hear voices of the others bouncing off the walls in order to help her navigate through the mansion, or in hopes of someone finding her. Being alone in the dark was one thing she didn’t want to have to deal with much longer.
Shuddering in a shaky breath, she started edging forward slowly, little by little as she brushed against the invisible surroundings. The trembling girl hissed into the dark as she stumbled over something, her mouth catching a stray piece of hair causing her face to scrunch up. If she didn’t want to be alone for much longer she had to do something about it. Grabbing her stolen stance back, she chewed on the inside of her cheek, debating on her options as she came to her own conclusions. No one’s going to find her if she just stood there frozen and crying like the terrified girl she is.
Shaking her head, Webby continued to push forward, or what she assumed was forward. Her burning eyes may have adjusted just a bit by now, but it wasn’t much help in all honesty. At least she could sort of see her hands now. Shrugging it off, the girl dragged her feet along the floor, still at a slow and cautious pace if she were to ever bump into something it wouldn’t hurt too much during impact.
Her stomach was rupturing so much fear that she had such an urge to throw up. Webby pushed that down too; she pushed everything down like she always did. The boys get their mom back and she becomes somewhat unseen, pushed that down. No mysteries really left for her to solve, leaving her feeling empty, pushed that down as well. The boys actually having their family reunited, pushed down the fact that she’ll never know what that feels like. The point was, she pushed down everything and she could feel it fighting for a comeback that she was not willing to let win. No matter how horrified or sick she felt.
“Huey, Louie, Webby? Anyone there, or here- anywhere?”
Webby’s heart jumped, wheather it be over fear or joy, she didn’t care as she breathlessly shouted back as relief washed over her like a cool wave in the heat of the summer. She had to fight the yearn to want to run to the sound of his voice, she needed to think rationally before she gets herself into a situation worse then this.
“Dewey? Dewey! I’m over here!”
Her startling voice bounced off the walls, echoing throughout the halls before it finally reached Dewey’s ears. The boy’s emotions perked up at her familiar friendly voice, sending sparks of energy suddenly igniting within him. Unlike Webby, he did begin running. Running into things without thinking was his thing after all; could you really blame him for running to something that could give him comfort and send a butting joyful feeling through him? In that moment, it felt like he had springs in the bottom of his feet as they alliterated him off the ground with every step he took.
Almost tumbling over his two feet, he came to a hurried stop, skidding his feet on the ground, briefly slipping, his chest heaved as he called out in question, “Webby...where’s here?” He chuckled sheepishly, a drop of sweat sliding down the side is his face.
She came to a halt at the touch of a wall, the coolness contrasting with her warmth. Webby lead hand to her pale face, tapping on her check as she hummed to herself.
“Let me come to you, just-“ her voice ran against her, “-just keep talking Dewey!”...”Please keep talking...”
Feeling desperate at this point, Webby sped up a bit, hoping to not run into anything as she did. Dewey followed her instructions and kept talking; he may get on her nerves at times, but in moments like these, he was her lifesaver. Or was he her lifeline? She wasn’t quite sure what he was to her, but she knew he was something she couldn’t comprehend yet.
“-so it wasn’t my fault the lights went out, you know?...Web-Webby? You still there?” Dewey ventured a little hesitantly, noticing her lack of chatter. He looked up from toying with the hem of his sleeve, holding his breath as if he could hear better in doing so.
After a bit of silence he felt something or someone grasp onto his arm, causing him to jump and cry out. His eyes shut as he flung his arms them around in an attempt to defend himself.
Webby cling to one of his arms, hovering her voice over his, “Dewey! Shhh it’s me! It’s ok!”
Grunting, the boy relaxed with relief, her touch sending tingles throughout his body, “Oh! Why did you go quiet on me all of a sudden, you really freaked me out.” He complained.
Webby slid her hand down his arm in order to intertwine their fingers, ignoring his reaction of tenseness. Her breath shuddering awkwardly.
Dewey squeezed her hand in reassurance to her comfort, “You ok Webs?”
She breathed out, flattering a bit of a smile, even if he couldn’t actually see her, “Yea..I am now anyway.” She murmured in a hushed tone, admiring his drops of worry.
Putting her grip tightening on hold, Dewey changed the subject, keeping her at thought. “So...do you know how to get back to the others?” He chuckled nervously.
The girl blinked, the fiddling with their fingers stopped, melting Dewey’s grin. He heard Webby groan, “No, I thought you did? Didn’t you come from everyone else?”
Dewey -she imagined him rubbing the back of his neck- answered apologetically, “Not exactly...”
Webby whined, “How are we suppose to know where we are going?!” Mumbling, she huffed out, “My night vision goggles would really come in handy right about now.”
Bitting at his beak, Dewey tugged on her hand, voicing his worry once more, “Are you sure you’re ok? You don’t seem to be acting like your usual Webby self.”
Her stomach kept doing flips as it continued to bubble, her thoughts were enough to help her forget, sadly not anymore. “It’s nothing Dewey, I promise. Let’s just see if we can find my room, it should be around here somewhere.” Before he could protest, she pulled him along, gliding her hand against the rough walls. All she could think about were those stars. She needed to get to them before she did something she’d regret. “Swallow your fear Webby...” The noise of her teeth gritting together was enough to bring back attention and concern to Dewey’s face.
To his utter annoyance, the girl kept ignoring his every retort and yearn to communicate with her. This wasn’t Webby, and he knew something was wrong that she just wasn’t telling him. It frustrated him to no end; how could he help her is she wouldn’t open up? Biting on the inside of his cheek, the boy struggled to keep up with her frantic pace.
Webby didn’t have time for communicating, he needed to understand that- why couldn’t he understand that?! Can’t he see? She needed her stars, and she needed them now!
Her eyes fluttered as she felt his beak collide into her back. His collision wasn’t why her eyes fluttered though, relief washing over her as they finally reached her room. The glow barley illuminated the hallway wall from across it. It’s a good thing she left her door open.
Dragging him once more, she pierced into her room, bathing in the glow of her stars. Taking a breath of fresh air, she almost forgotten about the blue duck that she dragged along with her.
“Webby?” She heard the hesitance and worry dripping from his voice. Shivers erupted through her body, readying herself as he stood there eyeing her.
Sighing, she turned to him with a soft apologetic smile, “Sorry for dragging you,” she scratched at her cheek while her other hand danced between the strands of her hair with her delicate touch. “I’m...” fidgeting, her eyes jerked to the ground, avoiding her wondering gaze, her fingers freezing in thought. Webby wanted to tell him so badly, but what would he think? He would just laugh at her. Glancing back up to him, the boy’s eyes twitched, something seeming to click within him in understanding.
Bitting down on her bottom beak, the taste of iron stung her tongue. She wasn’t sure whether he could see her shaking crazily from the outside, because his eyes that were wide, melted into something so soft. Her heart almost melted, almost. She shuffled under those soft ocean eyes.
Without saying anything, he walked to her side, gliding his gaze to the glow stars, then her. How could he be so blind? Of course she was scared of the dark, it explained so much. His eyes studied her now relaxed features as she admired the stars with a glimmer in her eyes. The girl’s shoulders began slipping from tenseness. Not wanting to disrupt her peace, he brushed off his newly found knowledge.
He didn’t know if it was just the stars on her ceiling or that his eyes were playing tricks on him, but his gaze softened at the glow that seemed to surround her. He investigated deeper as the stars continued to bounce off her eyes, causing them to shimmer. She looked so...calm.
Without realizing he was moving, his hand reached for hers, grasping it lightly and sending a gentle tingling squeeze her way. His best friend’s eyes fluttered from the stars, then to his own. The boy’s smile grew as his eyes rested upon her shy and flustered feathers.
Breaking the silence and contact, he awkwardly peeled his eyes away and above him. He didn’t mean to stare for as long as he did. He felt his own cheeks ruffling up as he bit back a wince wanting to break out and ruin the peace on his features.
In desperate need to want to clear the air, he tapped on the tip of his beak -with the hand that was still intact at the moment- sifting his thoughts elsewhere.
“Um- what would you call that star?” He questioned, chancing a side glance.
A giggle slipped through her beak, “What do you mean?” Call him crazy, but he could’ve sworn he saw a shade of light pink dust against her cheeks. His chest burst with flames, swallowing back the tingly feeling of her hand twitching between his as they both playfully squeezed back-and-forth
Chuckling as he guided their hands towards the stars, he repeated, “What would you call them? You know, Little Dipper, Big Dipper?...” Trailing off, he weighed with his shoulders, half smiling in hopes she’d understand what he was getting at.
A beat passed, then with a hop she perked up, a smile tugging at her beak, quirking up. He’d be lying if he said that his heart wasn’t beating faster then he was breathing.
Shaking his thoughts away, he listened curiously, “That one,” she pointed with their intertwined hands, “That’s William...oh! And right next to him is Vela!”
Dewey mused back, “Why William and Vela?”
Shrugging, she shyly tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear, “It just...feels right, ya know?” Her eyes traveled back to the two stars as she let their hands fall. “It feels...familiar.”
He felt a tug at his beak, flicking his eyes to the stars, raising their hands back up to point at another, “That one’s rubbing me as a Dewey JR.!” He puffed out his chest as his teeth presented themselves.
Webby’s head snapped back to her best friend, giggling as her shoulders and hair bounced along, “Actually, I see that one more as a...hm...” she froze in thought, puffing out one of her cheeks. Over the years of knowing Webby, he picked up on a few little things she would do. Yet, she still fascinated him to no end.
“Skye!”
Jumping slightly, he blinked his eyes, registering her words for a few seconds.
Coming to the conclusion, he looked to the star, his features melting with contentment, “Huh...I see what you mean.” He chuckled in understanding.
Both caught each other’s eyes, looking back at the other in sync, flustering shyly, “I like that name, it has an adventure seeking type of vibe to it.” He breathed, quickly turning back as he felt his cheeks heat up under her brightness.
Slowly gazing up, Webby whispered under her breath, “Yea...” and while not looking back, she asked him his suggestion on the one next to Skye’s.
Dewey beamed up at the star, creating one hand into a confident fist, “Oh! I got it!” He snapped. “Danny! That one’s definitely a Danny!”
Webby hummed uncertainly, “I don’t know, Dewey?” She smirked, leaning her head opposite of him to see if that would help her see what he meant. Shrugging, she switched her balance, “I see that one more as a Chase.” She pointed with her free hand this time.
Dewey sulked playfully, “Then why did you ask me, if you were only gonna knock down my suggestion.” He complained, fighting a smile as he heard her laugh, “Also, what’s wrong with the name Danny, and why Chase?” He cringed.
Webby shook her head, rolling his eyes in a teasing manner, “Like I said before, Chase just feels right, especially for that star.” Adding hope back into his eyes, she elbowed his side, “How about I let you name the next one?”
He hesitated, “You won’t knock down my idea?” He squinted, unsure if she was joking or not.
Grabbing his other hand as she bounced on her webbed feet, she grinned, “I promise!”
A smile crept onto his beak, relaxing his shoulders, just noticing they were tense in the first place. “Then...” he scanned the stars, debating his options, “I’ll call that one,” he freed his hand from her sift grip, drifting it up to the Star next to Skye and Chase, “Danny!”
Webby gave him an encouraging nod and one of her cheesy smiles to assure him that she was ok with it.
They continued playing around, pointing at the stars and naming them between laughs, while enjoying the others company.
With Dewey, he always understood her. She didn’t have to say much, because he understood and knew how to make her feel better. In this moment, she didn’t dwell on her problems, or the dark around them. That was just how Dewey affected her. He taught her to live in the moment of the positive and forget the negative, and she couldn’t be more grateful for that. For him.
And for once...she knew she was going to be ok, because she had him to get through problems like these, together.
End of flashback
The 41 year old Webby smiled sadly at the fond memories, resting her hand upon the grave she now stood above. Her shadow wavered over the faded flowers, wilting continuously.
Even when not here, he was still a comfort for her. She loved him, and she knew he loved her. Thats all she needed in order to get through the unfairness of life. At least that’s what she would tell herself...Guilt and bitterness phased through her bones as she swallowed back her sorrow.
Crouching down to kiss the top of the tombstone, her hand reaching down to rest the blue fading flowers on its bed-like structure. She ignored the symbolism of the wind mocking her, causing a few petals to gently slip off and into the winds care. They were out of her reach now, leaving her behind to fend for herself. The feeling of nostalgia rustled within her, threatening to break her at any given moment. But she knew better then to give into its ways of torture.
After lingering a bit in the pitch of the night, Webby looked up to the stars, closing and opening her hands in sync with her breathing. Her frown washed away as her beak mimicked a small and determined smile, now turning to walk the opposite way.
Before she took much of a few steps, a breathless chuckle escaped her beak, feeling 3 young teens clashing into her for a surprise hug.
“Hi you three, I thought I told you to stay in the car?”
They looked up at her, smiling sadly as their eyes flickered between their dad’s grave and their mom’s tried, swollen eyes.
The only girl out of the trip spoke up softly, “We know, but we wanted to see dad too.” Her face buried into her mom’s side, looking for comfort and a sense of hiding.
The mother’s eyes flickered from something worried to soft in seconds, resting her hand upon her daughter’s head. A memory of Dewey running around the house with his little girl in his hold, giggling as Dewey attempted to make airplanes noises
Her features didn’t even have time to settle back into a frown, hearing her youngest among the three -around 12- cry out in agreement, “Yeah!” He grinned widely, bringing life to that Dewey classic smile she loved so much. He was the spitting image of their father. Her heart ached, fighting back tears as she smiled down at their children.
Rubbing her hand through their other sons’ hair -a twin to his sister- as she answered, “I got a better idea...”
A few minutes later they were sitting around the grave, pointing at stars and creating names for them.
As crazy as it seems, every star they named back then, became what she cherished and loved today, her parents who she finally got to meet a few years ago, her three babies. They may be almost teens, or in their teens, but they were still her stars. Their Stars.
Webby looked at each of their shinning stars, hearing Dewey’s voice echoing along hers in her head, “Skye...Chase...Danny...”
They were their stars, and Dewey was the light shining within them.

Destruction, Everywhere (OC Fic)

Authors note: I’m sorry to anyone who read the previous chapter 6 but I wasn’t please with the progression of the story. It’s better now! Expect more chapters soon! This chapter is basically just a filler; it takes place during The Firebending Masters and the beginning of The Boiling Rock episodes (Zukko and Sokka returning next chapter. This is still just a cute little Katara/Draya friendship blurb, hence the Katara gif choice. Also: every chapter following this one is longer I swear lol
Previous Chapters
The day after Zuko and I talked in the alcove, he and Aang decided it was time to get to the bottom of Zuko’s disappearing bending. Toph suggested they look for the original firebenders, which led them to travel to Ancient Sun Warrior ruins in search of an answer. I begged them to let me join them, aching to learn more about firebending firsthand, but Zuko insisted it had to be the two of them. “You were lucky to find a way to coax your firebending out when it’s being stubborn. I won’t find an answer in water.” Zuko and I walked next to each other towards Appa, not wanting him leave without saying goodbye. I sighed before nodding. “I understand, it is your destiny to help the Avatar after all. For your honor!” I imitated Zuko when I said the last bit, throwing my fist in the air for dramatic effect. He rolled his eyes and laughed, smiling down at me. “My uncle once told me ‘Destiny is a funny thing. You never know how things are going to work out, but if you keep an open mind and an open heart, I promise you will find your own destiny someday.’ We were actually here, in this Air temple, when he told me that. It was right after the Agni Kai when I first got banished. I still had the bandage on, and I was sure my destiny to capture the Avatar. When we lived in Ba Sing Se, he told me to ask myself ‘Who are you, and what do you want?’ and at the time I wasn’t sure. Maybe, I’m still not sure.” He chuckled and shakes his head. “All I know, is this is much better than any destiny I could’ve wished for.” He gestured to our friends before meeting my gaze, a soft smile dancing on his lips as he grabbed one of my hands. “I’m much happier than I thought possible.” I felt the heat rush to my cheeks as I heard Sokka clear his throat behind us. “I hate to break it to ya D, but your boyfriend has to leave with Aang soon if they want to get back in time to stay on schedule.” Zuko dropped my hand and we shuffled apart slightly, Zuko chuckling as he rubbed the back of his neck. “For the last time Sokka, he’s not my boyfriend. It’s just nice to have another firebender on my side for once, something I know we all relate to.” Before I step away from Zuko, I turned to him. “Your uncle would be proud of you for finding your own destiny, and you can tell him all about it when we find him. Now go get your firebending in check, I miss having a firebending sparring partner. No offense Aang.” I say, looking over at Aang as he shrugged. “I wouldn’t want to fight you even if we were just sparring, Draya. Now let’s go, Zuko!” Aang burst himself up on Appa’s back with an explosion of air as Zuko climbed up the side. Zuko looked over and gave me a small wave as the monk boy yelled “yip, yip!” and they were off. “Don’t worry, your boyfriend will be back soon.” Sokka said, sliding up next to me. I sent a little burst of flames to his feet and he yelped, hopping up into the air. “No firebending Draya, it’s not fair!” I laughed as I walked away, hoping Aang and Zuko find what they’re looking for. When they got back, they were so excited to show us the newest firebending form they learned while exploring the ruins. We watched as they posed and formed a circle together, Katara and Sokka teasing them relentlessly at their “new dance”. “It’s a sacred form that happens to be thousands of years old.” Zuko said, obviously annoyed at the Water Tribe siblings’ antics. “Oh yea? What’s your little form called?” Katara asked, mock dripping in her voice. I had to cover my mouth with my hand to help from laughing out loud when I saw Zuko’s angry face shift to one of slight embarrassment. “The Dancing Dragon…” the other 3 started laughing, Toph and Sokka bouncing jokes off each other. I walked over to Zuko, who was mumbling angrily to himself. He stopped to look over at me, smiling softly with a sigh of relief. “I’d love to learn this new firebending form, it looks like it could be useful...” I started, before being interrupted by a giggling Sokka. “Yea, at your wedding!” he said, walking up behind me and slapping his palm on my shoulder. Zuko’s smile fell into an annoyed scowl as I rolled my eyes. “First you call him my boyfriend, which he’s not, and now we’re getting married? Excuse me for wanting to learn an ancient firebending form. You wouldn’t understand, boomerang guy.” I said, crossing my arms across my chest as I turned to face Sokka, who was defensively yelling about his sword wielding. I knew he was a good fighter; it was just so fun to get him worked up sometimes.
The next night, Zuko tried to make tea for us around a fire. I watched as he walked over to Sokka, offering him a cup. The Water Tribe boy spoke to Zuko in a hushed tone, and I watched as they walked away. I wondered where they went off to, quickly forgetting about it when Toph sent a wave of rocks underneath me to get my attention. Sokka appeared before Zuko did, not too far behind him. Sokka give a rushed goodnight before stuffing his body into his sleeping bag, the others following suit after him. Zuko helped me clean up our mess a bit, putting out the fire, neither of us finding anything to say. I turned to face him, walking close enough so that only he could hear my words. “Is Sokka okay? He seemed moody all afternoon and right now he seemed almost annoyed about something.” I searched Zuko’s face for any sign of emotion, hoping to figure out his answer before he said anything. “He’s okay, just feeling overwhelmed. You know how Sokka gets.” He shrugged, his tone not at all convincing. Realizing I wouldn’t get more out of him, I nodded and wrapped my arms around his torso. His familiar warm scent made the hug even more comforting as he wrapped his strong arms around me. “Good night, Zuko.” I said, stepping back and walking towards my sleeping bag. “Good night, Draya.” He replied, smiling back at me as he continued to mess about with the fire. The expression he had on his face stuck with me, a mixture of concern and contemplation. It shouldn’t have surprised me when we woke up the next morning to find Zuko and Sokka gone, some less than convincing note left behind. “Need meat. Gone fishing. Back in a few days. -Sokka and Zuko. One more thing. Aang, practice your firebending while I’m gone. Do 20 sets of fire fists and 10 hop squats every time you hear a badger frog croak. -Zuko”. A badger frog croaked right after Katara read the letter, earning an exasperated sign from Aang. “Draya doesn’t have any firebending homework.” He said, starting his set of hop squats. I laughed slightly and shrugged. “I’m not training to be the Avatar.”
I was stretching in the sun, the heat wrapping around my body, as I got lost in my thoughts about what Zuko and Sokka could be getting up to. Katara pulled me from them as she called out my name to get my attention, motioning with her hand to go over. We walked towards each other and I couldn’t read the expression on her face. Annoyance? “Is everything okay Katara?” I asked, not sure what her expression meant. She shook her head in shock and scoffed, crossing her arms. “You’re asking me if everything’s okay, when you’re the one who’s basically been avoiding us since my brother left with Zuko?” I could tell she was trying to control the emotion in her voice. I sighed and shifted in place. “I didn’t realize I was avoiding everyone, I guess I’ve just been so lost in my thoughts and my training… I’m sorry.” I said as casually as possible, not wanting to go into much more detail. Her face softened before suddenly turning into a playful grin. “I see the way you look at Zuko, even though I question your judgement a little considering he’s such a jerk; is that what this is about? You like him and you’re sad he’s not here?” I looked at her, hoping my face showed just how confused I was. She laughed a little before continuing. “You guys did disappear for a while the other night…”, she waved her hand in front of her body before crossing her arms as she looked at me, obviously wanting an answer. I laughed a little, shocked at the quick change in her tone from angry to lighthearted teasing. “There’s nothing going on with Zuko, he’s my friend. Just like you, Sokka, Aang, and Toph. The other day, he was just there for me in a way nobody else ever has been. You know you’re one of the best friends I’ve ever had, one of the only ones really. Having Zuko around, finally another firebender who shares my view of the Fire Nation, has been indescribable. A feeling I’ve never had, not even with my own family.” I shrugged, smiling as I realized I could give her something a little more exciting; something I hoped would make up for the fact that I’ve been accidentally avoiding them. “He was my first crush though, when I was 9. I’d only met him once, and it was brief, but… I remember it clearly. My life changed a lot pretty suddenly after we met, so I forgot about my silly crush pretty fast.” I finally looked over at Katara, whose wide eyes lit up as she giddily brought her hands up to her face. “I knew it! A childhood crush is still a crush, Draya. Look, I don’t want to encourage a relationship with someone so untrustworthy, I mean I really think you can do better than someone who’s been so unreliable in the past. But, you two do look happy when you’re together. It’s safe to say he probably has a little crush on you too.” It was my turn to look at her with wide eyes as I scoffed at the idea, shaking my head. “Katara, we have much bigger things to worry about then childhood crushes. Like defeating the Firelord, you know, to save the world?” We both laughed and I felt the tension in the air dissolve. I realized it was wrong to shut my friends out like this, seeing Katara’s kind expression as she smiled at me. “Yes now, but you’re still human Draya. I’m just saying, you should follow those feelings. Or at the very least tell him, because… there’s no saying what’s going to happen the day of Sozin’s comet. Be honest with him sooner rather than later.” I nodded, knowing Katara was right. It’s not like I was going to listen to her advice, I can’t imagine telling Zuko he was my childhood crush. That doesn’t mean that I can’t enjoy his company now, before everything changes, and we have to accept our futures. I smirk and turn to her, crossing my arms. “What about you? Do you have a little crush on anyone you’re thinking about talking to before the comet?” Katara’s smile dropped as a blush crept its way onto her face, and she looked away as she played with her hair. “What? No. What makes you say that? I think you’re right, we have bigger things to worry about right now. I just thought since Zuko’s here with us right now, you should take advantage of that because it’s not like he hasn’t betrayed us before...” Her voice became quieter as she spoke, and I could tell by the way she was looking everywhere but towards me that she hadn’t said it as quietly as she hoped. I sighed before replying. “You’re right, I just don’t think Zuko’s going to do that this time. He really wants to help Aang, he wants to help take down his father so the Fire Nation can finally be saved from his immoral ruling. He really has changed Katara, and he’s actually very kind. I hope maybe you can see that too, one day.” Katara rolled her eyes and breezed by my statement, locking an arm through mine as she stood up and guided me back towards the others, rambling on about not being afraid to talk to them in the future. I smiled as she spoke, happy that I admitted to someone how I felt about Zuko, even if I never told him.

Nettlehawk/star (oc)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I honestly have no idea why she’s the first oc i’ve drawn when she was literally my most underdeveloped character,,,until I started listening to Evelyn, Evelyn which now fits perfectly with her & her sister, Smokeseed
A bit about her; (kinda wordy </3)
Her mother, Dappledrain (or dapplerain i havent decided) died after giving birth to her two kits, Nettlekit and Smokekit. There was one other queen, with an older kit, who nursed the two but as soon as Nettle & Smoke could eat solid prey, she left the nursery.
Once they were 6 moons old, Smokekit was interested in training as a medicine cat so Cloudybird (medic at the time) trained her while Nettlekit trained as a warrior.
Nettlepaw’s mentor was given to her (no name) because she was close to her mother, but that made their relationship strained because Nettlepaw thought she would rather it her be in Starclan instead of her mother. Nettlepaw would also lash out and become violent during battle practice. One session, Mothstar was watching and stopped the training after Nettlepaw clawed her training-buddy, saying that she wouldn’t have done that if her mentor paid attention to her. Mothstar than ordered both ‘paw & mentor to talk to him in his den where Nettlepaw told him about what her mentor has (allegedly) said to her. Mothstar says he’ll appoint her a new mentor and says she’s free to do what she wants for the rest of the day. Her old mentor tells Mothstar that that wasn’t the first time Nettlepaw has hurt someone in training. Mothstar is not having it and just blames Nettlepaw’s harshness on the lack of a caring mentor, but once she gets a new one she would improve.
Nettlepaw and Smokepaw now have a strained relationship because Nettlepaw purposely avoids talking or any interaction with Smokepaw.
Later on, Nettlepaw becomes a warrior, Nettlehawk and eventually becomes deputy. Her and Smokepaw, now Smokeseed still don’t talk. Until Mothstar dies, and Nettlehawk becomes leader. On the way to get her nine lives, Nettlehawk refuses to walk next to Smokeseed who has no idea why her sister is so distant, maybe it was their different roles but now that Nettlehawk is soon to be leader, then that won’t be the case anymore, right?
Right as Nettlehawk, now Nettlestar comes out of the Starclan meeting area and Smokesed sees her, she gets a vision; bloody water with nettles floating on the surface.
Smokeseed does all she can to warn Nettletsar about incoming danger but Nettlestar wants nothing to do with her and refuses to listen, Starclan gave her 9 lives for a reason.
By this time, Nettlestar frequents the Dark Forest and trains, as well as sometimes leaving camp to fight rouges or tough kittypets. This just adds to Smokeseed bombarding Nettlestar with questions and her worries about the vision which pisses Nettlestar off more and more.
And then... Nettlestar yells at her, Smokeseed is taken aback by her outburst but still insist on knowing what’s going on with her, especially with what just happened. Smokeseed follows Nettlestar out of camp and asks her why she won’t talk to her anymore. They were so close when they were kits and now they’re so esstranged. Nettlestar tells her to stop living in the past and move on. Smokeseed doesn’t understand and asks what happened, why does she feel this way. Neetlestar explodes, she says she never liked her, and the only reason she and her were close as kits was because they were the only cat each other had. She tells her to bother someone else with her blabbering. They have more bickering back and forth until Nettlestar snaps and attacks her, pushing her off the gorge edge (idk how to explain the area they’re in,,,it’s elvated or smth).
Smokeseed is the first to wake up after they rolled down and sees Nettlestar not moving. She quickly goes to check on her. Moments later Nettlestar wakes up (lost a life) but upon seeing Smokeseed, she attacks her again. Smokeseed tries to dodge and tell her to stop but Nettlestar doesn’t. Nettlestar is aware of how close they’re getting to a body of water (probably a pond) and purposely tries to get Smokeseed closer to it; she does, and Nettlestar tackles her, she falls into the water and Nettlestar holds her down.
Nettlestar goes back to camp.
In response to the questions, Nettlestar tells the clan Smokeseed is dead, “brutally murdered by yours’s truly”. The clan is in shock but Nettlestar pays no mind to it and goes to the medicine cat’s den and tells Smokeseed’s apprentice, Thornpaw he’s done with training and is ready to get his full name. The clan demands her to go into exile but Nettlestar says she’s done no wrong, she’s a leader, whatever she does is backed by the code (might be my own warrior clan but the code is practically still the same <3).
The clan really can’t do anything, how would anyone exile a leader with 9 lives ?
Nettlestar stays leader for a while, a group of cats do try to chase her out but she kills one of them and tells them to back down.
That’s it <3 she dies eventually of course and ends up in the Dark Forest and them um...yea
Oh ! another thing before the Smokeseed stuff- an apprentice reported to Nettlestar about a group of foxes that moved in to apart of territory and Nettlestar told her old mentor to take a patrol to hunt there. The patrol came back, in shock from the foxes & Nettlestar says she had no idea they were there. Her old mentor accused her of setting her up but Nettlestar plays dumb.
Yes <3 she did plan for her old mentor to get caught off track by the foxes but didn’t happen so :/
