As someone who lives in a city that hosted the Olympic Games recently, I think it almost always follows the same script. Before it starts it's all protests and complaints and nobody wants the Olympics, but then as soon as it begins the mood changes completely. It's a very unique event, and there are so many incredible stories and incredible athletes that people end up forgetting why they didn't want it in the first place. In my city people now seem to have nothing but fond memories. I hope it's the same for France and that you guys can enjoy the best of it! If you're into it, of course 🥰

I know it will be a very exhausting time for me, but I also hope to be able to enjoy it, have some fun if possible and to eat all the French food I can stomach because it's delicious and I love it! 😂

Thanks very much for being so understanding ❤️ The story has been on my mind the entire time, it's just translating it into actual written words that's been the issue, so I hope it will be easier once this stretch of work is done and dusted!

Well 😂 That's the plan. I have been working some on the fic since I came back, but haven't done that much progress. I just realized this chapter is turning out to be way longer than I thought it would be 🥲 But I'm hoping to have it done soon. So fingers crossed 🤞

So send thoughts and prayers and well wishes 😂 I was a little stuck on a specific scene, which I managed to get through last week (though how successfully remains to be seen when I go back to read it again lol), so hopefully the rest will be a little smoother.

There will be no season 5 😬 I can't with s5 of TO, that's beyond anything I can tolerate. I can't even begin to rewrite it, because I'd just toss out the entire thing. The whole nazi vampire plotline is just 😫😫😫 So no, I'll stop at 4. But obviously the ending will be different. And yes, the Hollow will be there, though again, there will be some key differences from the show.

I did this thing for S4 that made me feel like I was being so smart 😂 It's a very important difference from the show, that will be development throughout the season, but I feel only really picks up towards the end, and then it completely changes the way the story ends compared to the show. It was completely pulled out of my ass, but it makes sense (at least in my head it does) with what has been written so far about the characters and their backstories (particularly Caroline's), so I'm actually so curious to see what people will think when I get there. 😂

*Sigh* 😔 So my idea was to have had at least two more chapters by now, but I've been struggling a lot. :( I haven't finished the next one yet, don't think I'm even halfway through it. Truth is I haven't felt very inspired these days and work has really been hard. This is a very sensitive time for my job (sensitive year tbh) and it's getting busier and busier and in about a month's time I have a work trip, so it's only going to get crazier.

I really do hope to be able to finish at least the next chapter before that, but I can't make any promises. 😔

So far, there's only one planned scene with Eve I haven't included in the story. I haven't actually gotten down to writing it because I decided to leave it out before I got there.

When The Wolf 4 is finished, do you intend to continue writing about this story? (new things that can happen) or will it really be over? (the end of The Wolf)

If there is one thing I have learned writing this fic is to never say never 😂 Every time I've said I wouldn't do something, i ended up having a change of heart (see the ring in the latest chapter).

Having said that, right now, my answer is that it will be done for good. I want to see it through, but I also really want to be done with this. I love this universe, but I also need to put it to rest, so the end of TW4 will be *the end*.

The difference between this and all the other times I ended up adding more to the story after saying I would absolutely not do it, is that before, while my official statement is that it was over, I knew what I would do if I decided to continue. I had some friends who kept asking for my headcanons and I'd send them like 10k words long headcanons for each ot the episodes "if I were to write this". So I had the whole season structured before I even started. But I only did that up until the end of TW4, because that was always what I envisioned as the real end. So I wouldn't even know what to write beyond that. It's why I'm confident saying that TW4 will be the end.

Having said that, ask me again in six months 😂 But I wouldn't hold my breath tbh. And hopefully this will wrap up the story in a satisfying enough way that nobody will feel the need for more. I've been meandering and taking them all over the place, but I will leave them exactly where I always hoped they would end.

But new stuff, I don't know. Maybe if I get any ideas for outtakes or if I end up with anything I leave out of the story.

Hi, friend! :) About TW3, yes. It will "end" as the third season did on the show. The thing is that it won't actually be the end of TW3. I have been going back and forth on this, but I sorta knew from when I started posting TW3 that I wouldn't have a choice but to go ahead and write TW4 as well because otherwise there wouldn't be a satisfying way to wrap it up, even if I changed the ending. The way I always envisioned it was for the whole saga to end with TW4. I have it all planned, schemed, chapters, etc. But I won't be posting another story, The Wolf 3 will be the last one, so there won't technically be The Wolf 4, just 13 more chapters that will be following S4 of the TO to close the story. Am I making sense? I'm confusing myself

Basically, TW3 will be 34 chapters long and then that's S3+S4 put together and then that's it, story's over forever and ever. I will change the end of season 4 though.

I've been feeling so tired, I don't even know why. Just totally out of energy, you know? Just want to stay in bed watching The Morning Show. Sigh

I've been asked that a few times and I think either I don't know or my answer changes every time lol I don't know if I have *one* favorite scene. 5x11 is pretty iconic, I also love Klaus being a total puppy for Caroline in 4x07 and that forehead touch in TO 5x12 which 😭💔

Today, I think I'll go with 4x17 (I think it's 17), the whole episode basically. When Stefan asks Klaus for help with figuring out the expression triangle or whatever that was called and the three of them go snooping into Shane's office and then Klaus and Caroline get a moment in the woods while they're trying to find Bonnie. I just think that whole episode is so CHARGED and filled with not-so-subtle undertones that I'm pretty sure they wrote it (maybe even shot it) before TO had been greenlit by the network, because it's just SCREAMING Klaroline is about to happen lol I love everything, the two of them flirting before damn Stefan interrupts them, Caroline then going on a guilt-trip and lashing out cause she's mad at herself for the fact Klaus' little taunt resonated with her and she was *this* close from doing something she'd regret later before Stefan walks in on them, and then basically admitting that she does feel *something* for Klaus, even if she said 'when I thought he was worth it' because ??? When was Klaus ever worth it, Caroline? WE SEE YOU. And the fact Klaus was pissed at her cause he was hurt and YET he stayed up all night with her burying witches in the woods 😭 And then when he finally gets a chance to be close to her cause she was in a fragile state and in need of comfort, his bruised ego screams louder and then *he* is lashing out, but regretting it the SECOND Caroline stomps off lol And this is all set up for Silas to get into his head and realize that the way to toy with him is to impersonate Caroline lol

HONESTLY. I love the KC moments in that episode. ❤️ But I'll probably have a different favorite scene if you ask me tomorrow 😂
