This 100%. It's such wonderful lore told through character design. Same for any type of scarring or other such "imperfection."

It's also why veneers are so fucking off putting irl. They're *too* perfect; it gives that uncanny valley feel. Nobody has teeth like that.

Arcane has such wonderful character design because they're not afraid to show the flaws on people (although I do remember seeing a critique of the lack of armpit hair, which, yeah, good point. Edit to add I don't see armpit hair as a flaw. It's more about showcasing different body types).

Nah the character designers popped off when they gave Silco those little chipped front teeth because they didn’t have to but they did. It adds so much character. Teeth in general are such a simple yet underutilized way to add uniqueness to a character design. It’s not even a diasthema, it’s either damage or deformation or modification and when you notice it for the first time your brain softly goes “oh! that’s interesting” and nearly every character design—not just physiological but could be behavioral, verbal, fashionably, etc.—should have one of those moments, or something that makes an audience member go ‘hold up a second, is that..?/wait that’s interesting, what’s up with that?’

because he has those teeth and the only thing I can think of is that those are a child’s chipped front teeth. He is a menacing, ruthless, drug lord that retains a childhood dental issue, like how idk, historically some mobsters had deep ice pick scars/pock marks on their face from acne or smallpox as a kid. It makes them human, and echoes that there was once a child long ago that wore those same features. That kid is long, long dead and buried but the adult still borrows and carries around the quirks of that young body with him wherever he goes.

i honestly get why you would think that she does kinda look like a yassified sevika 😭 its her overall aesthetic that reminds everyone of silco i think, and the fact that her skills and attacks have that shimmery purple color. the eyes are maybe another factor and the kinda slick back hair that has that exact graying silco has just on the other side.

i want Silco as a champion in league but tbh i have no idea what kind of skills he would even have if that was the case

i am literally fuckin sweating over silco in any way shape or form. even that fuckin' tik tok that yassified him and took the scar away to make him look like carl from accounting. i'd bone that accountant on GOD i would but young Silco before he got older and jaded is a different animal, because he had to be at least somewhat of a decent guy to be brothers with Vander before it all went to shit. You can see under all the layers that he definitely has a soft side in there - he wouldn't have taken in Jinx if there wasn't some kind of heart in there, he probably just went through a lot of work to build up impossibly high walls. On the note of young Silco, here's a fanfic by @manchaboii that literally aligns perfectly with how I see him so you should give it a read if you havent.
