Hearing that Maverick was in the hospital had rattled the woman more than she had expected. Their run-ins were infrequent since his return to town, but once she had learned that he had been released from the hospital, her first stop after being in school full of middle schoolers all days was his place. Yasmin didn't know what she was doing there or what she would even say to him, but there had been a time they had been thicker than thieves, "Maverick?" Yasmin spoke, leaning against the door. She knocked, though not too loudly as she didn't want to wake his daughter if she was sleeping. "It's Yasmin."

"Took you long enough to realize," Yasmin quipped back with a warm smile resting on her lips. She gave a slight nod of her head, "I knew there was a reason I was keeping you around," she continued to tease, "I prefer soft tacos, too," though Yasmin wasn't a picky easter - she did have preferences like any one else, "Protein choice?" Cael's brows arched, displaying as much emotion as he had this past month together. His eyes paused on her finger that was lifted at him, a response to the question he had asked, and when she spoke to explain the finger wagging he let out an 'ah' followed by a grin. "Wise woman." He said, unaware to her familial situation. Not exactly a topic they easily breached. "Uh, soft.. You?" Hard foods weren't his favourite. Call it a quirk. @yasminxansari

EAST HAVEN'S 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY EVENT: THE WIND STORM

With the 1 year anniversary of East Haven's opening, we have decided to have an event that centers around a wind storm that is blowing it's way through town, inciting chaos where ever it goes. The event will start on January 5th at 12pm (noon) and end on January 15th at 12am (midnight). No new starters should be posted after January 10th.

You were placed into groups that are listed below. You will be expected to write with at least one character in that group that you normally do not write with. You are still free to do other threads with others in the group, but are required to at least one.

Shout out to anon for inspiring this task! There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 150+ Pakistani faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. If you want want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.

Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags!

THE TASK

STEP 1: Decide on a FC you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!

STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!

STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)

"I think sometimes it slows down before we are ready." Though she had been principal for the last five years, there were still aspects of teaching that she missed and wondered if she had made the right move every now and then. Yasmin's lips parted in a laugh at the man's words, "Oh, wow, right? Honestly, you couldn't have told me I'd be teaching kids, let alone the principal at some point back when we were teens. It had been a long time since Callum's day to day work was performing life saving surgeries on kids, but the days that he was called in for assistance were still the best ones. He was proud of being chief but he often missed the thrill of holding a life in his hands. "It's not, but it isn't what my job used to be, that's for sure. I guess eventually I was bound to slow down." He shrugged, though being chief wasn't really all that slow. "Who would have ever thought that you and I, two troublemakers back in the day, would have such important positions now?" He smiled and thought back on how things used to be when they were teens.
