"Emraan Hashmi plays the role of a Pakistani agent, who is pitted against RAW official, Tiger, played by Salman Khan. It's going to be a cat and mouse race with Indian and Pakistani intelligence agencies battling it out. “You may hear a top Indian official calling the rogue agent, Tiger, back on mission by probably saying something on the lines of Tiger Ko Rokne Ke Liye…. Tiger Ko Wapis Lao,” the source informed, adding further that late actor Girish Karnad is being missed by the entire gang, as his character shared a very special bond with Tiger.

So, what happens to Katrina’s Zoya, who is also an ISI agent, but on the run with Tiger? “Well, wait and watch. Being an ISI Agent, her character has a terrific arc in Tiger 3, and the cards will be opened at the right time. But watch out for Zoya’s track in Tiger 3,” the source assured. The shoot of Tiger 3 is expected to resume by mid of June, as producer, Aditya Chopra has booked an entire ground to recreate parts of a Western country. This schedule will be followed by a marathon schedule abroad, in European countries, with some locations being the ones already explored in Ek Tha Tiger. Ranveer Shorey, who played Tiger's right hand, Gopi, in the first part, also makes a return to this world of spies after missing out on Tiger Zinda Hai.

The music of this action-packed thriller is composed by Pritam, whereas multiple stunt teams of international repute have come on board to design the action. Gratitude 21-11-2021

Grateful for being able to physically run the marathon again in the beautiful city of Chandigarh. That city is pure love and my dream place to live. Absolutely love it every single time. Love for it grows with each visit over there. Had a healthy breakfast given by the organisers of the run. Also, watched a movie in the theatre after a gap of almost ~2 years. Watched Honsla Rakh: a punjabi movie with Diljith Dosanjh in a lead role. Theme was of romantic comedy. It was a decent watch. Eat at garg chaat in sector 23 yesterday evening: had aloo tikki and gol gappe. Yummy right? Too much I would say. Missed out on visiting gurudwara, will go over here in Delhi. The stay at Hotel Aroma was decent and brought back the old memories, when I along with my cousin, Kudrat and her cousin, Smily, stayed there way back in July 2015. I was serendipitily allotted the same room i.e., 106. Way too much nostalgic, haha. Still have memories from that day six years ago. Now, I have a plan to meet one of my friend/ fellow madridista: Yash and we will watching Formula One and Real Madrid match together. We have so much common interest: love for Cristiano, Real Madrid, Rafa and Lewis Hamilton. Fucking hell, ditto likes/ interests. We both are sports lover/ enthusiasts. Come on man, will end the day on a high. Although yes, need to do meditation today bro. Let's gooo, vamos, grateful and siuuuu!

I Came To Mumbai Looking For A Job – Found Love, Lost Love, Then Found Myself

Mumbai is a city of dreams.

I'm 21 years old, fresh out of film school. Like everyone who studies film in India, I decided to make the move to Bombay. So here I am in the city of dreams, to realise mine. My (movie) dream is simple – live a decent life, but make larger than life, amazing movies. I hope I get there. I think my job here at 101 India, my first job (!), is a great place to start.

In the city of dreams, I dream of you

I live alone, but I'm not lonely here. Bombay, man. It's alive. It just doesn't let me be alone. I have a few old friends, and lots of new ones. They help me pass my time through the week. And when the weekend's here, I... well, I sleep. Come on! I need some downtime. I'm small town.

With all the new beginnings, from moving to a new city, to landing a new job, to meeting strange and interesting people at work, I sort of had a new romantic beginning of my own.

We started slowly. “Just friends, man,” I'd tell myself, “Shut the hell up.” But much as I would deny it, I knew, my friends knew – we weren't 'just' friends. We'd spend hours together after work, we'd spend sleepless nights just talking, sometimes drinking, always, always smoking. Yes, of course, with a lot of making out. As good as Bombay was to me, it was in him that I found 'home'.

From being a starry-eyed, independent, working woman who had huge dreams, I became a hopeless romantic who wanted nothing more than just going home to my new found love. Was it love? It felt like it. I was on top of the world – a new world, a whole new world. A dazzling place I never knew... no one to tell us no... or where to go...I'll stop.

I woke up excited every day. I had butterflies in my stomach all day long. I smiled like an idiot, listened to sappy romantic tunes, even saw the good in people I didn't really like. I was happy. I wanted to stay happy. And that's when things started to change. They started to get unhealthy. Toxic, almost. I couldn't bear the fact of not going home to him. Where I had started as an independent woman in this new city, I became someone who had to be taken care of. I became someone who wanted to cuddle and sleep at night and start every morning with a "have a good day" kiss. I became someone I never thought I could be. My life was one long routine of going to work, then spending the rest of my day with him. He made me feel what I thought I was incapable of feeling. I would romanticize every little thing we did together. It was as if I was in a really good chick flick. He'd pick me up and drop me home, he'd get me food when I was sick, he always knew when to get my favourite bottle of wine home, he would celebrate the tiniest of my achievements (“you woke up on time today” kiss), he'd drive us around aimlessly, while we listened to music that moved us.

It was perfect. He was perfect. And I felt perfect with him.

He became the single most important thing of my life. As soon as the honeymoon phase got over, I thought I would get bored of him, like I always do with every other guy I have been involved with. But to my surprise, it just kept getting stronger and deeper. But then the people around me started to see a change in my behaviour. I could see it too. I'd be out drinking with my friends, but all I would think of was him. “God, I need to leave now and see him.” The things I'd do, the excuses I made to meet him, to simply hear him say “hello”...

Room without a beau

My life started to lose its individuality. I couldn't help myself. It came to the point that I'd just curl up and sulk if I couldn't meet him. I have always believed I don't need anyone to be happy. Happiness shouldn't be dependent on something that I might lose in a blink of an eye. But here I was, dependant. Addicted. I was slowly, and noticeably, going down the path of depression. I am not claiming to be depressed, I am probably not even close to it. But the boy I liked, the one I fell for, he was actually diagnosed with clinical depression. I took 'responsibility' for him, thinking I could make him happy. Without realizing that instead I started to become sadder.

I lost interest in talking to people. I'd get lost walking and end up in the middle of nowhere. My mind would be burdened with over thinking. So much so that I considered chanting to find some 'inner peace'.

He saw what was happening to me. He saw how 'addicted' I was to him, and how this was making me feel. He started maintaining his distance, pushing me away. I couldn't take it. It wasn't like an ordinary break up. This was...death. I was dying, every day. Save for a few laughs at work, I was a mess. I like to think of myself as a strong person, emotionally at least. But I was a wreck.

Till, slowly, I wasn't. Time heals all wounds, and it had started to put me back on track. Where I would plan my daily activities according to when I would get time to meet him, I started taking some time out and focusing on the things that I could do alone.

New beginnings

I have started binging on TV shows again. Movie marathons keep me up all night, these days. My dinner for two is a medium pizza, thin crust. I've even started reading again. My close friends, who were with me through all of this, are now much closer to my heart. I now had the long road ahead with myself.

But Mumbai is the city of dreams. And I haven’t stopped dreaming.

Eighth heaven: The king reclaims his kingdom

"I wasn't sure if I was going to ever be here in another finals after last year. I had some tough ones losing to Novak in 2014 and 2015. But I always believed that I can maybe come back and do it again, and if you believe you can go really, really far in your life, and I think I did that and I'm happy. I kept on believing and dreaming and here I am today, with the eighth. It's fantastic."

When Roger Federer first won a Wimbledon Men's Singles title, on July 6, 2003, George W Bush was President of the USA, Facebook was yet to launch, Wayne Rooney played for Everton, and Andre Agassi was ranked world number one.

Over 14 years from the day he became a Grand Slam champion - in a world where Donald Trump presides over the US, the world seemingly exists on social media, Rooney has returned to Everton after about a lifetime at Manchester United, and Agassi has been retired for over a decade - Federer became the most successful male player in the history of the oldest and most prestigious competition in tennis. 

"It is very special. Wimbledon was always my favourite tournament, will always be my favourite tournament. My heroes walked the grounds here, the courts here, and because of them I think I became a better player too. So to mark history here at Wimbledon means a lot to me," he said at the post-match press conference following his capturing of a record-extending 19th Grand Slam title.

At 35 years and 342 days, he also became the oldest singles champion at Wimbledon, irrespective of gender, in the Open Era. 

History would have always had room - one of its better suites, even - for Federer, regardless of what happened on Sunday. Regardless of what happened in 2017. Or the year before that.

In July 2009, with his securing of a sixth title at the All England Club after a four-hour, 77-game long marathon against Andy Roddick, Federer had become the most decorated player in men's tennis, surpassing Pete Sampras' haul of 14 titles.

A 16th Slam followed soon at the 2010 Australian Open, but then came 2011 - his first year without a Slam since his breakthrough win in 2003. 

He continued the love affair with Wimbledon in 2012, but then came four-and-a-half years bereft of victory. 

It wasn't so much the slide of the Swiss maestro that was discomforting - what goes up comes down, the best get bettered, it's all par for the course - as the manner. Federer was losing his mojo, his opponents were finding their feet, the aura of invincibility was gone. 

Then, in 2016, came the 'clicking' of his knees while he ran a bath for his twin daughters at home. A torn cartilage would need a surgery; the return would read 18 matches, zero finals, zero wins against top-10 players.

And when it was known that Federer would miss the entire season post Wimbledon, including the US Open - only the second major he skipped in 17 years - the inevitable question of retirement that had been following him ever since he completed his career Grand Slam at Roland Garros in 2009 had resurfaced.

"I’ve heard retirement [talk]since 2009 when I won the French Open and people were like, well, what else are you playing for? I’m like, what’s wrong with you people? Don’t you understand that playing tennis is great fun? I don’t need to win three slams a year to be content. If the body doesn’t want to do it, if the mind doesn’t want to do it, if my wife doesn’t want me to do it, if my kids don’t like it, I’ll stop tomorrow. Zero problem. But I love tennis in such a big way that I don’t care if I don’t win so much any more. For me that is irrelevant," the then-17-time-major-winner said in an interview with The Guardian during his hiatus.

Away from the tour for six months, Federer returned at the Australian Open in January. 

His record since: 31-2. At Grand Slams and Masters 1000 events: 25-0. Titles won: Australian Open, Indian Wells, Miami, Wimbledon.

The king of SW19 had waited five years to regain his kingdom. His Center Court audience had never had to endure as long between any two Federer titles.

But all that was now over; the man who turns 36 next month had made it 19 at SW19.

"It's a dream to play here really, and I hope this wasn't my last match, and I hope I can come back next year and try to defend the title," was his parting shot to the faithful.

In the time between Federer's first title and this, his latest, the landscape of the world has changed a fair bit. It isn't the greatest place to be around.

But till the time Roger Federer keeps winning Grand Slams, till he keeps turning up at Center Court at Wimbledon, till he keeps playing this sport - the world doesn't need any saving.

★Emraan Hashmi to play Pakistani ISI agent, set to lock horns with Salman Khan in Tiger 3!

Actors Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif began shooting for the espionage thriller Tiger 3 at Yash Raj Studios a few months ago. It was also reported Emraan Hashmi was roped in to star as the villain in the film. The shooting commenced amid tight security in order to avoid leaks from the sets of the film. Though the shooting has come to a halt amid the second wave of COVID-19, it's being reported that the next schedule will begin in June 2021.

According to a tabloid, Emraan Hashmi and Salman Khan are set to lock horns in the upcoming actioner. Hashmi will reportedly play the role of Pakistani ISI agent who is pitted against Salman Khan's Tiger who is a RAW agent. Hashmi's character is smart, stylish, and far from any negative shade of character he has done previously. Helmed by Maneesh Sharma, the two characters will be at war.

As far as Katrina Kaif is concerned, she will have a great arc as well in the film. She, who is an ISI agent, is on the run with Tiger, and more will be revealed soon about Zoya's character.

Since the third installment is touted to be made on a massive scale with a reported budget of Rs. 350 crores, the shooting will reportedly resume mid-June. Aditya Chopra has booked ground to recreate a Western country.  The plan is to do a marathon schedule abroad and they might even revisit some places that were explored in Ek Tha Tiger.

Tiger 3, produced by Yash Raj Films, will be directed by Maneesh Sharma.
