So Rioa. What's your thoughts on the whole "False Flora" thing going on?
I'd like to eat it. I'd love to see how it reacts to electricity. I want to do science on it. So bad.
Rosie keeps telling me not to but I might anyway.

THE VILLA: Lore and Residents
The Villa is like an anomaly when it comes to Alternia. A place that is "Out of sight, out of mind". Not many know if its existence unless you're BORN in The Villa or are LED TO The Villa by someone who lives within the boundaries. The Villa is a place that matches the ideal of UNCANNY VALLEY. It looks normally, but you can't shake the feeling that something is very wrong. The buildings, the residents and yes, even the plants n animals are all odd in their own special ways. Dangers lurk around every corner. Can you survive a night in this anomalous little community? -> RESIDENTS AND STATUS OF RESIDENCY <- Rosie [Real Name Unknown]: Resident, native born, City Council Head Yarioa Nacabe [@lashysdomain]: Resident, native born, City Council member Rhyian Dendoe: Resident, native born Actias Wilcot: Resident, former OUTSIDER Oldior "Dior" [@lashysdomain]: Resident, former OUTSIDER Erotas [@memurfevur]: Resident, native born Brandy [@ase-trollplays]: Resident, former OUTSIDER Junnie Frahnk [@taxi-trolls]: Resident, former OUTSIDER -> LORE: REALTORs <- What are REALTORs you may ask? They're LESSER HORRORTERRORS that live within The Villa. Mimics that disguise themselves as hive and uses "FLESH PUPPETS" to lure possible buyers into a false sense of security. Upon being lured in, the possible buyer is then consumed by the disguised HORRORTERROR, never to be seen again. Remember The Villa's moto: "NEVER TRUST YOUR LOCAL REALTOR!" -> LORE: TVAHA [The Villa's Apartment Hunters Association <- Wanna find a place to live and NOT get eaten alive? Well come on down to your local TVAHA and they'll help ya out in a pinch! Need an apartment? Call the TVAHA. Need help finding out if you can build your own hive? Call the TVAHA! Running REALTOR free since [DATE UNKNOWN] -> LORE: VNRA <- The Villa Natural Resource Association was created back in [DATE UNKNOWN] to help keep control on the PLANTLIFE and WILDLIFE of The Villa False Flora Broadcast

Ah.... yeah... Heard that caused quite the chaos in The Villa! Hopefully stuff's calmed down by now! You're on the city council, yeah? What's it like? :0
It's calm, yes.... I hate it.
The council is what it is. I'm the reason most of this town has power. The bar was a massive hassle to hook up with electric but Dior asked nicely at the time. I fight with the TVAHA whenever someone wants to build a new home and don't let Rosie or I know before closing a deal.
I work under the person who runs the Villa when I'm around. Which, to be fair, isn't often. My intuition is rather nice for everyone, though. Found the one who brought that clown into town.
I'm sure Dior and Rhyian will have fun with that.

Oh no! I just wanted to come talk to you! How's your night been? Anything interesting happen lately? :0
Same shit, different night. Only "interesting" thing was Actias being kidnapped, but I only found out about that when Dior called for me.
Even things outside of the Villa have been boring lately.

Temperance and Judgment for Yarioa!
[TEMPERANCE] - Do they tend to think in a polarized manner, or do they attempt to navigate the nuance of whatever troubles them?
rioa is a very black and white mindset for a good number of things, but with her work having to understand nuance is important. when it comes to her death games rioa is very black and white you die or you dont. there's nothing more to be done about it, only one winner, if you refuse, then you all die. dealing with people outside of that, though, she understands that the world doesn't work like that, and that people can be good and bad, and the same with actions, but people and actions morality isn't something she tends to bother herself with really, she has no real need to think about it too hard in her mind
[JUDGMENT] - What is one thing they harshly judge themselves for? What creates doubt and self-loathing for them?
the fact they don't exactly fit in anywhere bothers them, but it's not something they think about super hard. the villa is fine enough of a place where they can be normal. they do wish sometimes they didn't join the council so they could wander around as they like, but the villa relies on them and they'll stay as long as they deem their presence needed.

Something feels off in the air tonight.... You've already informed Rosie to keep an eye out, but hopefully the Villa is far enough away from where you've wandered no one will be feeling the strange ripples and distortions floating past.
Hopefully it's nothing you or those you know will have to deal with.

>> The process of helping out, as well as actually eating and conversing with everyone most definitely puts you at ease.
>> You are asked what happened with finding Kidlat- With an edge of curiosity about the guest at the table, it seems news spread that they helped find your sibling.
>> You give a modest and humorous take, saying you reached your wits' end and opted to start asking strangers, and the first troll you asked happened to be capable of pinpointing them easily.
>> The rest after that is chatter. No one makes mention of magic nor where you're heading once you pick up and move here.
>> Yarioa signing to you catches your attention. With the overall din, it's easy enough for you to have a private conversation without really feeling like anyone's particularly listening.
"Don't worry, I'm taking it personally. I won't get anyone else involved."
>> You intentionally phrase this to sound a bit ominous, but your tone absolutely reads that you're joking.
"No promises about collateral damage, though."
>> You've kind of lost track of what you're warring over. Isn't that how it goes, though?
>> Even with your height there's no problem at all with you carrying the pot. As long as you keep up with Raknos and Lenara you have no issues making your way over, doing as instructed with ease for the most part. As long as you don't have to reach anything at normal person height you'll be just fine.
>> Raknos being sat by the head of the table maaaaybe gives away just a bit that he's more important than he's lead on, and you being seated next to him, while standard for a guest, is a tad awkward after what happened just before dinner.
>> You don't take as much as you would normally to feed yourself, wanting to make sure everyone else (the older folk in particular) got their fill before you. Once you leave food will just be something you'll have to get. There are more people than you'd thought here, but it only spikes your worry for a little bit.
>> It's somewhat easy to tell when people are looking with you at the end of the table and while the initial reaction might not have been great this is much nicer; being ignored or simply looked at isn't as hard on you. Still, your attention is mostly kept to yourself and listening, hands occupied purposefully most of the meal by your food.
>> While your trained calm has your face mostly in it's relaxed smile the twitch of your ears with each new dish gives away the interest and delight of trying something new.
>> Once it's clear Raknos is finished eating you finally turn your attention to him properly and tilt your head. The hurt of the misunderstanding still hasn't left you entirely, even if your perception was wrong the feelings still lingered, but food has put you in a somewhat better mood.
>> You keep your hands low, off to the side of the table to not catch the attention of anyone else with your signing.
'With our seating arrangement, I think my hosts declaration of war has become a bit more intimidating.'
>> Hopefully the call back to the joke you both clearly found amusement in will break the strange air between you two again.

>> You nod your head, perhaps a bit solemnly, as they apologize and say they'll stay. With how awkward things are now though, you can't help but feel that wasn't the best option for them. Clearly they aren't really enjoying themselves, as much as they might want to.
>> You're about to ask what they have in mind, when Lenara appears at the tent's edge. "Ah, you're still here..."
>> There's a moment's hesitation as she apparently picks up on the tension but elects to give you both a sleepy smile and press on. "I was wondering if you two might be able to help me bring in dinner? Just about everyone's back now..."
"I wouldn't mind."
>> You look to Yarioa. It's just as well, because you think you'd make things more awkward with a game...
>> ...You're wondering again if they're younger than you thought they were, though.
>> Ah... This is more awkward than you'd expected it to be. He hadn't meant anything other than what he'd said.... That's a note to keep in mind later.
>>Silence fills the air between you two for a bit as you consider what to do from here. If you leave you're basically assuring you'd not meet again more than likely, and that's the last thing you want right now.
'I'm sorry for assuming... I... Think I'll stay.'
>> Slowly you reach for your cup of tea, taking it back in hand before taking a sip. There has to be some way to break the tension now between you two.... What would work....
'Perhaps a game is in order.... Something silly.'
>> Unlike with your usual gaming 'hobby' you do still carry around normal items for entertainment. A few packs of cards, a brain puzzle or two... Hangman might work... Simple, quiet, easy to converse over...
>>... Maybe you should actually ask instead of going ahead with thinking too hard on it.
'That is... If you'd like to play a game?'

>> Your frown deepens as you watch them sign. You shift slightly as you lean against the counter, taking the extra moment to consider your next words carefully.
"You've given me absolutely no reason to ask you to leave after inviting you here, Yarioa. I do, genuinely, want you to be comfortable and feel welcome, and I regret that hasn't been the case."
>> It stings somewhat that they'd take you for the kind of troll to hide something like that under the guise of concern, but you can't control how others perceive you. Try as you might. (That's more than likely what gives them the impression that you'd rather be polite than transparent or forward, though.)
>> You regret more that your words alone likely will not suffice in easing their concerns. You can think of nothing more to say, opting to just let them come to their own decision.
'No, of course, I'd not even want you to lower it if you could. It's keeping your family safe.'
>> 'If you'd rather not tolerate it' sounds a bit like he might not be very happy with you staying here now, hiding it under a guise of your own assumed discomfort being the reason to have you leave... After being kicked out of places for far less your stomach is turning and tying in knots.
>>This situation is making you feel unsteady... Your tail curls around your legs, half functioning as a brace now to assist with trying to ease the feeling. There's no outward indication of the dizziness, of course, as it's purely anxiety and past experiences ruining your perception.
'If you'd rather I leave now, you can just say so, Raknos. You don't have to sugar coat it or hide behind concern for me. I can still see, it's just not in the way I normally do.... Which, admittedly, is a bit disorienting, but the worst that's happened is being jump scared by a dragons head.'
>> Perhaps you're assuming.... But, even assuming, your admitted perception of this place and his smile combined have you feeling like perhaps you've made him nervous, or uneasy at the very least.

"Some of the trolls here have been hurt before, and so might be wary. It is alright for you to be here, though. It's as I said, you're a friend."
>> You don't think it's going too far to say that outright. It's obvious in the scars many trolls here have, after all.
>> You laugh a bit as they ask if they look like a stray cat.
"Don't mind Agenis. She has a sharp tongue, but she means well."
>> That's putting it lightly. You also fail to answer the question...
>> You come to a clearing at the crest of a somewhat steep hill. There are more trolls going about their business here, and a large blue dragon covered in scars and missing part of its forearm lounges in the moonlight a little ways off. A young woman with heavy scarring on one side of her face sits beside the dragon, with a sleepy-looking bronzeblood woman standing with a basket on her hip to chat with the two of them.
>> All the trolls that can be seen also bear the same mark on their face as you and Kidlat do. The dragon doesn't, by virtue of being a dragon (And because she can't be convinced to care).
"The dragon is Chokit. She can be a bit coarse, so be careful with her. She won't hurt you though, no one here will."
>> You murmur to Yarioa. As you start down the hill, something about this feels familiar...
>> ...The feeling is confirmed as a troll calls across the clearing on his way towards you. Raxsir, a rustblood who looks around the same age as you, with a red streak in his hair. "Raknos! How could you bring a stranger here?? After losing Kidlat, no less!"
>> You turn to face the rustblood, lifting a hand as though to calm him.
"Easy, Raxsir. Yarioa is a friend. They helped find Kidlat. Besides, what happened was an accident. Everyone involved already feels bad about it, there's no point in upsetting anyone further."
>> You're mostly saying this for Kidlat's sake, and for the sake of whoever lost track of them. You don't want this to turn into a pointless argument over who's to blame when it doesn't ultimately matter. Raxsir grumbles but can't find fault with your statement- At least, he recognizes that Kidlat is present and doesn't want to make them feel worse either.
>> You're also probably going to be repeating a lot that Yarioa is a friend and such. You'd hope it'd be obvious by the fact that you brought them here, but you still have to do some explaining...
>> Oh-- Whoa. Okay. You weren't at all expecting more than just a camp for the pair. Your senses being dulled here made this a genuine surprise, a rather welcome one as well. The air around you buzzes faintly with electricity for a moment before you're snapped back to the present when Raknos speaks.
>> The old womans gaze causes you to tense and straighten a bit. You're likely older than she is, but her experiences likely far exceed your own and there's something to be said about respecting that.
>> Only managing in a quick nod to her before she returns to her task you're a tad flustered. People think you're rude for not speaking up often enough...
'I wasn't... Expecting so many people. I thought it was only the two of you honestly. Are you sure it's alright for me to be here? Agenis didn't seem thrilled.'
>> You hate having to guess at the spelling of a name you don't know, but you'd rather not point or just sign 'old woman' to refer to her. If one person here signs, it's likely the rest of them do after all.
'.... Do I really look like a stray cat?'
