Do you have any idea what kind of person he is?? He’s no better than any of us Sextuplets! He’s no more ‘sexy’ than any of us! His cool attitude is painful and disgusting and makes us all look like a joke! He’s not selfless! He’s shown how selfish he is many times! It’s probably part of his stupid act to try and wooing all you over! He’s no angel! Not even close!Why does he get away with this and I was given shit in my blog! I didn’t even get a quarter of the love Karamatsu-niisan gets!! I’m cute!!!

RP #2 Second Date

The sunrays came in from outside the window, making their way into the Matsuno's room. Karamatsu lied on his futon wide awake, daydreaming about his last date. Last date? More like first date. He looked at his brothers besides him to check if they still were in deep sleep before sliding his hand under his pillow and take out a folded piece of paper. It was the drawing she made for him. He looked at it, tracing every line, every detail. In his eyes, it was perfect. After all this time, no one has ever showed him such kindness and affection... He got up, careful not to wake his siblings, and changed his clothes. Putting another leather jacket on, he folded back the paper and put it in his pocket. 'Another date...' he thought while looking out of the window, smirking 'How can I be this lucky.' He came out of the house, trying not to make much noise, and started walking back to the bridge.

Parallels

So I’ve been talking with @scorpionosaint and they’ve helped me determine some headcanons about the bros. As @empress-penguin once said, the bros are so alike, but different in the right places that they compliment each other and be completed a whole. So here’s some of them:

Their ability to read things: We know the bros are good at understanding animals. However, with Martin, I feel like his ability to read and understand animals goes beyond Chris’. As Martin always say, “Be the creature!” He knows how to get into the mind of an animal, and from there, he learns more about them. He’s able to get into the point of view of an animal, and from there, he’s able to assess the situation from a creature’s point of view. It’s always very good to be able to see situations and cases from a different point of view (especially if the creature has a far superior eyesight and different sense), and it just doesn’t apply for arguments and such as well. He’s able to sympathize and empathize with animals a bit more than Chris could, and it’s important when dealing with numerous cases with the villains and just environmental issues in general. With Chris, however, I’d say he’s able to read people and their intentions better. I’ve always had this idea that Chris is the more sensitive and thoughtful one when it comes to dealing with human emotions. Yes, he can see through a person. It’s hard to be able to slip by him, and I say this because I’m not certain if he’s really a Diplomat (read: the group of personalities that are dedicated to counselling and tend to be very empathetic, dealing with emotions well). Then again, since he’s a Cancer, he could be really good for all we know. But yeah. Helps him with dealing with villains (remember that Hippo episode?)

Their specialty: Obviously again animals. However, remember when I (p.s. this is @angstphilosophy ) said that Martin’s a zoologist and Chris a biologist? That comes into play here. It, again, makes sense that Martin knows just a tad more about animals than Chris because again, he’s a zoologist. He has a degree dedicated to studying creatures, and that should give him a better edge. Chris’ knowledge, on the other hand, spans across the table with his biology degree. He knows more about life/anatomy and the environment and not just animals. This well-roundness truly makes him a curious and always searching scientist that seeks to solve mysteries.

Skills: Uh I mean, swimming vs tree climbing? There’s probably a whole lot more where their skills parallel. We could take baseball into consideration, but eh. Though practicality vs thinking probably counts too. Martin likes to go the practical route and experience things for himself. He likes to just get things done or at least see through it quickly and efficiently. He has that mentality of Ms. Frizzle, I guess. I’m not saying Chris doesn’t, but he likes to be prepared and think things through before going into it. No doubt he has just as much fun and energy, but again, he has that intellectual approach.

I don’t know what to call this part but I think it’s good: Martin’s warmhearted defender personality vs Chris’ sensitive and thoughtful intellectual. Well, it’s exactly like it sounds like. If someone close to him is in need somehow (you know, a certain brunette brother or their friends), Martin’s not going to hesitate to leap into action. He cares about the people close to him, and he would most likely risk his life for creatures in need. His impulsiveness is a blessing yet it’s also a curse at the same time. Sometimes it’s good to not hesitate and get things done during critical times, where we can worry about the consequences later, but when it comes to normal, everyday stuff, it can do more harm than good. That makes Martin a valuable asset when it comes to peril situations (like the two-part finale of season 4), but sometimes, he can be too much in normal situations. 

This man’s altruism is unmatched. He can get things done, and he loves, and he’s warm. Now, Chris’ style is different. He can make plans and follow through with them, but he’s also the more intuitive one. He’s just as warm as Martin, and he can also offer advice. He reads people well; he knows how to empathize with them (thanks @yara-chanfromthecenter! ), and he knows how to make people feel better. He’s not as engaging as Martin, but he knows how to handle emotional problems. Given that his emotions are more prone to shift unexpectedly, he can relate to when people are feeling under the weather. He’s very rational and he can see situations from different points of view. If you guys watched Baby Tooth and Kid Musky and read my take on Chris here, you’ll know he can get deep and insightful (as well as philosophical). He’s just as valuable as Martin. He’s like that almost passive support you didn’t know you need while Martin’s the one hugging the heck out of you. It’s wonderful. These two are wonderful.

What if these two weren’t brothers? whoops What if they weren’t there for each other? Here’s where that part about them completing a whole kicks in. Martin and Chris may be great people in their own right, but they’re not perfect. Imagine if they grew up without each other. They would have a harder time filling in the gaps of their personality. Martin would have to learn really the hard way that he can’t always act on his accord without thinking about the consequences. Chris would have to learn that he needs to get off his butt and take actions. They wouldn’t be as happy either... they need each other.

So yeah, here are the parts of their personalities that they differ on. There’s plenty more, but these are the ones that I discussed with Scorpio. These two are truly #brothergoals (I can only think of another pair that can contest these two). (dedicated to @zumidotexe )

Favorite Colors: um i like all colors?? but ngl blue has been my favorite color like my entire life besides that one short phase when i was suddenly Into Green for like a full month or two and then went back to blue (but seriously all the colors are great ok)
