.Now if he had a woman as a rival (Carmilla in the anime is at least bi because she said if all other men died and half the women (of the vampires) too. Then she might consider it. So yes, there are possible women to be rivals) then he would be a bit swifter with her, that is if she did not get close enough to you. If she even tried to kiss you she would be dealt with brutally same with men. 

.If they were human rivals he would torture them for weeks on in. Humans are beneath him and he was not going to let humanity steal anything else from him. 

.When he realizes he is in love with you he feels so much guilt for his wife, as he loves her as well but differently. 

.He wants to push you away to stop these feelings for you but he cannot. 

.He did try, sending you away for him for a whole month, and how he could not stand it. 

.How he would stalk you as you did chores and how he would have Hector and Issace keep an eye on you. 

.After that month he orders you back and this is where he confesses his feelings for you. 

.He would tell you he thought he could never love again but he loves you and you will be his. 

.He tells you that he cannot bear to have humanity steal you away like they did Lisa. 

.He does not even wait for you to accept his love, instead, he turns you right then and there.

You remember being terribly sick.

You had dragged yourself to the home of the doctor who lived on the outskirts of your village. Dr. Lisa Tepeş, was her name, and she was new. It was only through recommendations from friends that you had made the decision to crawl out of bed to make the venture - you probably would have chosen to lay in bed and accept your death rather than ingest the foot shavings of the local wisewoman.

Dr. Tepeş was nice - well, more than nice, really. She had this air about her that soothed you with her every word. She had ushered you in when she saw you trudging up the path to her house (perhaps you looked even worse than you thought). She squeezed your hands so tightly, but not too nice. She hushedly whispered soothing, placating words to you, but at some point, your brain stopped processing them. The fever made the sound of your own blood pumping in ears drown out everything else.

You remember softness and warmth. A guest bed. Dr. Tepeş had laid you down after assessing your condition. She spoonfed you medicine and ran her hands through her hair. She did this often, too many times to count. 

You faded in and out of consciousness. How long were you there? Days, weels, months? You can't remember. You do remember asking her, though, and in reply she simply shushed you and pushed you gently back gently to the bed. Every time you awoke, Lisa's presence surrounded ypu.

At some point, you had met her husband. Multiple tomes, even. Tall, pale, handsome. They were a beautiful couple. Maybe he had been the one to run his hands through your hair, at one point or another. Dr. Tepeş' - Lisa's - hands were soft and small, but her husband's - Vlad - were large and calloused and his nails were long and almost claw-like.

You could swear that at some point, there were two bodies on either side of you, whispering to each other and cooing to you. You felt their hands caress you.

At some point, by some miracle, you got better. Your first lucid memory was waking in a soft bed in a large room. This was not the same room or bed as before. You had been moved somewhere during your illness. You ventured from the strange room you found yourself, only to be greeted by long, stretching hallways and high ceilings, the halls lined with portraits and artwork.

You froze, overcome with the terrifying realization that you weren't in Lisa's cottage anymore. You had no idea where you were.

"You really shouldn't be out of bed, dear," The soft, familiar voice made you jump,  whipping around to face the good doctor. She smiled, moving to take your hands. "What did we tell you about trying to leave us?"

You blinked. ...What? Had this happened before?

Two hands suddenly snaked around your middle from behind, causing you to let out a choked scream. A looming shadow towered over you.

"Yes," Vlad purred into your ear. "Lisa is right, my dear. Come, allow us to keep you company while you rest in bed, beloved."

Walking within the walls of the famous Dracula’s castle has your heart racing. Though it has received little maintenance in the past year, the beautiful decorative architecture still remains.

It’s nothing like Carmilla’s castle, but you keep that under wraps.

“Stop ogling everything, Y/N. You’re not a guest here.” Carmilla cuts in as the both of you continue to walk down a very long hallway.

You’re Carmilla’s ward, and in many cases, her personal handmaiden. Despite being old enough to care for your own needs, Carmilla has had you by her side since you were a young child. You often wonder why she hadn’t just devoured you.

You’re human. It comes as a surprise to many that she’s accepting of this fact, but she has often told others you’d eventually be turned. So... in a way it doesn’t matter.

“When are we having dinner?” You ask.

“Hush.” Carmilla replies harshly before pushing open a set of doors. You know better than to keep speaking.

Looking past Carmilla, you spot the back of a long chaise before her gaze meets your own. You recognize the look she gives you and promptly leave.

It’s not long before you’re already wandering around, lost and all that.

“Why would Carmilla leave you all alone in a place like this?” Asks a disembodied voice. You don’t know the answer, but you know you’re the one who asked the question. This place seems far more dangerous alone than with her by your side... or you by her side, as she would prefer.

You make your way back to the doors where she had left you, only to find them ajar. You take a peek, anything to try and gather her attention, but the room itself is void of any persons.

“Hello?” You call out, pushing one door open and craning your head around the corner. There’s a warmth in the room and the sound of a crackling fire. As you shift on your feet, you notice the fireplace is lit.

You doubt such a thing would have any chances of burning down the castle, but a lone fire is still to be watched.

You take a step inside and continue to look around. Nobody had answered your greeting, so you assume Carmilla must’ve gone elsewhere.

As you continue to walk forward, a piercing light hits your eyes. You snap your head in the direction and overshadow your eyes with your arm. You spot a rather large and dangling broken mirror?

When the light from the fire stops reflecting off this mirror, it’s no longer what you had thought it to be. You notice the thick brush and trees as you look upon it, taking slow steps toward the object of interest.

It’s almost like a ripped painting.

Your fingers reach forward to graze the sheen glass, but as you lean toward it, your hand disappears into the forest. You panic, but your whole being is already falling into the mirror, painting, window, whatever it really is.

Before you know it, your knees scrape against the hard chilled dirt and your hands find themselves buried in whatever little grass grows on such dry soil. It’s quite the tumble, but you sit yourself up just as quickly as you landed.

Your head turns back to where you once stood, but all you see is a rather large forest. You scurry off the ground and brush your hands on your now dirtied dress.

This... this is not what you had intended on happening.

Now you’re in the middle of the woods, hungry and alone. Carmilla is going to rip apart the entire castle just to find you, and then she’s going to rip you apart too. Now that you’re standing there silently, you’re beginning to realize you’ve never really been far from Carmilla. She’s always been a room or two away... You’re getting a strange feeling now. Like, perhaps you truly are alone. In the woods. During a very-much one-sided war. And you’re... human.

You only hope Dracula’s hellish creatures somehow recognize you before they sink their teeth into your flesh.

Your feet were sore. The embroidered slippers you had been wearing for an hour were now in your hands, allowing your bare feet to step through the grass. You were lucky to find an open field as you walked, allowing your feet a break from the rocky terrain. But it was getting dark out, with the sun setting and all that.

You haven’t been entirely shut away, so you know damn well what happens when it’s dark out.

A loud shriek rips through the evening air and alerts you.

Ah, well... It’s better to run than to wait for whatever that is.

You hike your dress’ skirt up and start dashing through the open field toward the nearest forest. It’s less likely for you to be seen from above if you’re surrounded by trees.

As you’re approaching the woods, you can hear the faint yet powerful batting of wings. Probably three sets of them if you really listened, but there’s barely any time for that! You trip just at the right moment as one of those foul creatures attempts to scoop you up. To no surprise, you scream. Before they can get their claws on you, you crawl into the densely populated forest and get a grip on your current reality.

You continue your dash through the woods, letting branches knick you here and there but never bothering to check. Those creatures seem to be up in the air now, high above the forest.

You’re lucky they aren’t interested in chasing you, but you’re more than aware of their patience.
