Life is good, being apart of deep cut after marina and pearls final splatfest. M/n was the fourth member of the deep cut as he was friends with bigman and he was able to get m/n in the group plus shiver and frye loved having m/n around. Having a unique features made m/n stand out a lot like with his hair being similar to Marina's but just more short like her old hair style. Plus luckily everyone thought m/n wears some kind of eyeliner and many things about him being different than other octolings on the surface but shiver tells everyone that m/n is just a different species of octolings probably from another city away from here.

M/n sighed after the camera turned off for today as the director yelled "all right everyone where on commercial break!" Frye looked at m/n seeing him look down a bit "you okay m/n? Your not all happy like you are usually" frye said looking to him as shiver looked at frye then m/n as m/n quickly sat up straight "oh! Nothing, just thinking about things really. Just woke up on the wrong side of bed" he laughed a bit trying not to worry the three "well you can tell use anything if you need anything off your chest" big man said with the screen he holds turns off for now as m/n sat there in silence for a few seconds "no I'm good....just going to go to the bathroom" m/n said as he got off the stage and walked away to backstage into the hall, but not going it the bathroom but just leans on the wall and going in his phone.

Then when to splatagram (work with me here, I don't know many Splatoon canon apps) many post of some ads, inklings showing off food at restaurants or food trucks, but then m/n stops scrolling and sees a tag that caused m/n to raise his brow "fanclub? I didn't know I had a fan club....I thought shiver, frye and bigman or anyone else had fanclubs.." he said to himself as soon as he clicked the tag, a boat load of post ranging from inklings to octolings even others from far away not even in this city. It was terrifying to m/n seeing so many things about him and the merch that he didn't even know existed of him, plushies, shirts, pants, hats, figures and so much more "I never made these brand deals?! How is there so many! And how is there so much fan merch of me…" M/n then was panicking not from the people who loves him cause he just tried to make himself thing it's just everyone supporting him, even making himself think it was all just a phase everyone was going through a obsessive phase but the slim chance that dj Octavia could find this, he could get kidnapped like Callie that one time, he could be brainwashed, so many terrible thoughts run through his head thinking of so many things that could happen if he was found out, would he be sanitized? Just like all his friends to be his mindless killing machine if he's taken back? M/n screamed as he felt something touch his shoulder as he quickly turned to see who was it that spooked him so bad and it was just the jellyfish intern "mr.m/n, where about to come back on soon" the intern said as m/n's heart was still racing "right...right, tell them I'll be there just give me a bit to um...just get myself ready" m/n told the intern as they nodded and walked back to the studio to tell them which has m/n all alone again "your just paranoid, nothing bad can happen...dj Octavia won't know, even if he does marina is a long ways from here so she's safe and Octavia wouldn't do something that ambitious" m/n said to himself as he turned off his phone and walked back to the studio with his head held up high hoping this might be a good week or even a good year.

"sir! We found something you might like" a elite octoling said as she held what looked like a small keychain, it was shiny and had the picture of m/n on it, in pastel colors seeming happy with the other side having his 'friends' all with him and all looking happy, DJ Octavia was silent, he was taking in the details of this keychain pictures "m/n is on the surface...just how marina is" Dj Octavia said as he took the keychain onto his tentacle and examined it, the underground felt so empty without m/n around. The small splats of colors on the walls or just anything that was colorful he could put anywhere, the small city's of the octarian underground loved the small splats of colors, any kind it made the underground feel less gloomy but after DJ Octavia's defeat in inkoplis and that damned squid sisters music that Octavia hated so much, salt in this wound those agents gave him taking away power to the city and then now this, Octavia felt humiliated that the only octoling soldier that made the situation of the octarians being under ground feel a bit less gloomy and just less of a hell hole was on the surface cause of the now lazy inklings and the octoings that managed to get on the surface now having audacity to rub this in his face just saying to Octavia that m/n was theirs now, it made Octavia livid that his m/n and only his m/n is now on the surface, his tentacle gripped the keychain in his tentacle until a crack was formed on the sides and his grip loosened. His gaze goes back to the elite octoling soldier "bring m/n back here, no matter who you have to hurt, no matter what you have to do, bring m/n back here" Octavia said the soldier nodded and was about to go get some of the other octolings to get ready for this mission "wait, take this" Octavia handed the soldier a pair of glasses, the same ones callie had on when she was kidnapped here "it'll make it more simple but these ones will make sure m/n won't be able to fight back so easily" Octavia said as then he waved his tentacle to dismiss the soldier, the elite octoling walked out to tell her team the new mission now with the hypno glasses in hand...to be continued

● Now I would say that Agent 8 would be the quiet but Extremely loyal and amazingly sweet and girlfriend to will murder someone for you in cold ink and choke a person to death in less than 5 seconds if you were remotely insulted by someone

● At first her meeting you and becoming acquaintances with each other was the best thing that ever happened to her she felt emotions that she never felt and she wanted to stay with you for a very long time in fact and she wanted to make you happiest person possible

●Now to start off in her daily obsession over you She would do Anything and I mean ANYTHING to make you satisfied with her care and company firstly she would buy things you wanted even though you didn't need them now

● Oh ! you saw a Squidshort on your phone of how to make chocolate s'more cookies but you don't have the ingredients for it ? She make them and give and feed them like a baby to you no questions asked , you wanted physical copy to a sequel to a game series that you love but it was too expensive for you She's gifting it to you now!

● And oh and have I mentioned 8 LOVES to stalk you in the middle of the night in your apartment level while you are awake or asleep and if you ever lock your doors and windows when you have the very strange feeling that someone is stalking you while you are resting in your home dont forget that she was a trained octarian soldier in the past and she will know how to get inside of your home one way or another and watch you till night's end

● At some times she would be highly but silently jealous of your friends and she would show them you appreciation for them by either hugging your arm hugging you from behind or simply just smiling at you and hoping that you would smile back at her or do some "convincing" if necessary to her

● but sometimes 8's jealously can get a biiiit crazy TOO crazy in fact

●Now it would all depend of how people treated you and either it would either be a swift splatting death or pure ummerciful torture for the poor inkling or octoling

● 8 will wait until your nightly conversation is over with a friend and quietly follow the unaware suspect that hurt your feelings today and when they enter their household the worst happens and it's best to not know what she would do to them when she makes physical contact with them

● but overall 8 is not that bad to a yandere she will not kidnap and make you live with her forever you need to do is not talk or interact with anyone! and nobody will get hurt if you even knew that ...

Agent 4

● Now her is an interesting case Her first meeting you in person was like absolute heaven to you but it felt like a Rollercoaster of fuzzy emotions crashed onto her face and she didn't know how to respond to them at all

● when 4 sees you She either becomes a blushing mess or one massive flirtatious or maybe rarely both and it can result a bit awkward interaction and a 4 dashing away from you in a flash crashing through people like a bullet

● She would do things to get your attention and admiration like trying to show off cool tricks to you at turf wars handing you gifts and giving you great food or tell you the most flirtatious marks She can make

● and at times where she would be jealous she would very quietly curse out the person you were having fun with or having a simple conversation with

● in all first sight everything looks a-ok around here no problems Overall

AND THAT'S WHAT YOU WILL THINK

● at times when you're talking to a friend or family member 4 will just stare and smile at you no words will come from her mouth she'll stare at you with a cute but threatening like Chara from undertale smile and it started to make you super nervous about this

● She would also take pictures of you without your permission and stick them to her wall and cherish them like a cultist till the end

●more of your friends a were starting to dissappear more inkling were starting to avoid you as fast as they could stuff was feeling like to be downhill for you until 4 invited you to her house one day you both talked, ate, and drank but everything was starting to get dark in your eyes and all you could see was her face smiling before completely blacking out

● And now you were kidnapped By 4 and best try to adjust to your new life now because it will be quite torturing to you but pure bliss for 4 she gets to feed you cuddle you, And take care of your entire life that is if you try to escape that is ...

● She won't mind to cut you a little bit or set a "example" to what happens when you TRY and leave her...

Agent 3 / Captain 3

(There's 2 types of agent 3 but I'll be discussing the captain 3 from splatoon 3!)

● Now 3 would be the silent but slightly controlling sort type of yandere

● everything all started when you first recruited by the new new Squidbeak Splatoon and became the new agent 3 in alterna and ever since you joined in 3 took a small liking to your eagerness and confidence and 3 kinda liked that

● She would do things to help you but try to also try to be the serious captain that She is like popping up behind you scaring the ink out of you and giving you advice on new missions in kettles

● 3 also has a whole small to medium sized book all about you just like Marie has with Agent 4 and what you like or don't like how much times that you brush your teeth in a whole week most amount of time you weared a certain cloths/brand

● and she would rarely give some gifts like a pretty flower that she found or something that would at least make you interested she could also train you if you wanted to but expect little to no break time around training Time

●but sometimes when your about to do a hard kettle sometimes 3 will just stop you there and go in herself and Let's hope those fuzzy octolings get the quick treatment from 3 ...

●And at times she would just tell you to take a break when you're working a bit to hard for her standards she won't go to weird precautions to hug you silently and so damn hard that it might turn your bones to dust

● 3 also would politely and very quietly ask you for dates at her house and most of it is just hanging out or cuddling each other witch is pretty much ok

● Surprisingly she doesn't barely get jealous with other people if that is if they become a jerk to you She won't be afraid at ALL to do some "talking" to the person stop them

●Overall 3 may be a be a big ol no talk hard-core captain but she's a softie and will do things no other inkling would even think of you to do for you

● It all started you both met each other in the lobby playing turf wars and you practicing for the next fews anarchy battle with your weapons and just after a long time you met Neo 3 and she was an experience to say the least...

●but not only that but she would strangely get EXTREMELY aggressive at times at not only turf wars but at times where just talking to a random octoling or inkling and suddenly Neo 3 would just suddenly slam their head on a locker or a wall for literally just having a conversation with you about chargers

● she would also take you on trips you sometimes didn't want to go at all to but she brought you anyway like som sudden 3 hour hike in the middle of the desert and consider them as "Dates"

● she would start to be more possessive of your life and what you do no friends no family not a single word you would utter to them

● but one day you took an afternoon walk after a heated argument with Neo about her taking over your whole life but until then you were sitting on a bench thinking of apologizing to her and reasoning with her but you felt pressure on your neck and everything blacked out on your eyes

● Great you've been Kidnapped by Neo and this new life will be with her and doing hard-core activities and having romantic times with her forced to make you love her

Where did everything go so wrong… Why did things turn out this way… This war should never have happened, how many signs did I ignore to reach this point…

~Four years prior~

The day was a sunny one, hardly any clouds in the sky, in a castle overlooking a quaint seaside village two figures converse in the garden, an Octarian prince and an inkling gardener. The prince, Octavio, is seated on a platform beneath the tree, his octobrush leaned up to the platform and an instrument laid out in front of him, the inkling meandering about tending to the various flora around the yard. Octavio watches them with a bored expression leaning his dead against one of his fists, it does not take long for the boredom to win him over.

“y/n, come sit with me I know you’ve already finished your duties for the day so why not take a break?”, the prince calls out from his seat, patting the space next to him with his free hand.

“Your highness that would be improper of me to do, i’m just a gardener after all not a noble”, Y/n replies, a small tinge of amusement in their voice hearing the young prince groan in exasperation.

“As if, don’t make me have to order you to take a break.”, he argued back, a bit annoyed at the Inkling’s refusal to sit with him.

“Prince Octavio with all due respect I need to finish pruning these flowers, if I don't remove the withered buds the plant won’t redirect that energy to the healthy ones.” Y/n calmly explained.

They continued their work not hearing the prince stand up and begin to walk up to them until he wrapped his arms around their waist and lifted them up and carried them over to the platform despite their protests.

“Your highness put me down! We could be seen! What would your advisors think if they saw this?!”, y/n scolded the young man who merely laughed in response.

“Ah let them! They can’t say shit to me, I’m the crown heir so they have to listen to me!”, Octavio laughed as he sat back down, not releasing the inking, setting them in his lap, “besides you’ve been working all morning and haven’t stopped once to take a break, so now i’m making ya take one. Been working on more music and I want you to hear it.”

“And you couldn’t play it while I was working?”, y/n questioned not believing that to be his only motive.

“Nope, you’re gonna stay right here and listen”, the cheeky grin could practically be heard as he let go and let y/n move to the spot next to him before beginning to play, a beautiful tune filling the space with a calming atmosphere. Closing their eyes y/n lightly swayed listening to the prince play. Their bond was a mystery to those who saw them, but it was clear to many they were close, both having grown up together despite their very different lifestyles.

The peaceful atmosphere was quickly interrupted when an unknown voice speaks up from behind the duo, “Wow you play really good!”

In response Octavio whirls around grabbing his weapon and pointing it at the intruder, an inkling male with white tentacles and gold eyes, he’s fairly scrawny wearing travelers gear. “Back off! What do you want?! Are you a burglar? An assassin?”Octavio demanded, positioning himself between the stranger and y/n.

Stuttering the inkling replies, “a-an assassin? N-No I’m a… I’m a fan of your music?”

Lowering the brush slightly the confused prince looks at the inkling saying, ”My what?”

Recomposing himself, the inkling smiles and explains, “I heard a heavenly melody in the wind, so I followed your song to this courtyard! You have some real talent!”

“But how did you get security clearance?”,Octavio asks, relaxing a bit but staying on guard a bit, keeping his position between the two.

Holding up a peace sign with a confident smile the inkling states, “Oh, I just snuck in!”

Both look at him deadpanned before Octavio calls for the guards to throw the intruder out. Unfortunately dropping a notebook in the process which the prince picks up curiously when the courtyard quiets once more.

“Oh no, poor guy must've dropped it when he was being dragged out. Maybe I should bring it to the front doors to retu-”, Y/n starts but is interrupted not long after.

“No i’m sure he’ll be back for it, kinda curious what's in it.” Octavio says, still looking at the journal.

“That feels like an invasion of privacy, your highness”, Y/n says concerned.

“The guy jumped the wall just to tell us he was a fan of my music, I think that warrants reading it to know exactly how he got in”, Octavio says back, not swayed by their concern, opening the book to take a look inside.

“I’m just going to get back to work… I don’t feel comfortable looking through some poor soul’s personal property”, Y/n states, picking the pruning shears back up to continue pruning the plants around the courtyard.

“You’re too nice y/n, you gotta know when to make the tough calls for the safety of yourself and others”, Octavio states not looking up from the page he’d landed on. Y/n doesn’t reply to his comment, focusing on their work. Naturally as the prince had predicted, the inkling came back for his journal, jumping the wall like the day before. Octavio waited with his arms crossed, a deadpan look on his face as the other male climbed down the wall, “So being tossed out once wasn’t enough to teach you a lesson?” The inkling spooked by Octavio’s statement pleads with him, “I know I know i’m sorry! But I lost my journal and I was hoping-” Not letting the inkling finish Octavio tossed the journal at him, it landing square in the poor guy’s face.

”Here, I wrote a couple of verses. Some parts could use some more work, but all in all your lyrics ain't half bad.” Octavio responded.

“You…” the inkling began, “You like my songs?”, his eyes now twinkling.

“I think they’re acceptable. Craig. Don't get too full of yourself.” Octavio replied a bit annoyed.

Reeling back in shock Craig stammers “H-HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?!”

“IT’S WRITTEN ON THE COVER YOU AIRHEAD!” Octavio yells back. From the door to the castle a laugh can be heard, the duo turning to see that y/n had arrived just at the tail of the conversation. This distracts the two long enough to calm down a bit before continuing as y/n walks over to join them.

“I-I see! Well Craig’s fine and all but I prefer to be addressed as cap’n”, Craig says, a sweat drop falling from the embarrassment of forgetting he’d written his name on his journal. “What are you the captain of..?”

“Captain of fresh rhymes!” Craig states striking a pose making y/n chuckle at the silly antics of the man. Octavio gets a slight frown before eventually cracking up at Craig’s antics as well.

“Alright then if THIS is what we’re doin’… I guess that makes me the Sovereign of Spicy Beats! You can call me Prince Octavio” holding his hand out for Craig to shake, which Crain initially goes to grab saying with a smile “It’s always a pleasure to meet a fellow music lover! I…” he freezes mid sentence pulling away a bit like he’d just thought of something confusing both y/n and Octavio.

“I, ah…”, Craig stammers lost in thought, “hmmm”

“Hellooo, what are you-“, Octavio starts before being startled by Craig grabbing Octavio’s hand in both of his hands with a grin before exclaiming, “Let’s start a band!” To the surprised Octavio who looks to y/n in confusion. “I mean it wouldn’t hurt to give it a try tav, it might be fun!”, y/n says trying to assure Octavio, Craig taking note of the nickname before asking, “are you two a-“ to which both end up growing flustered before Octavio pulls Craig close to whisper sternly, “you are not to tell a soul ok? They’d lose their job if we got discovered by the council, got it?”

“Crystal clear, secret is safe with me!” Craig states making a zipping motion over his lips.

“Good, then I accept the proposition. I don’t have anything better to do and it can get pretty boring around here.” Octavio says releasing Craig who’s now once again grinning.

“Oh this is gonna be great!”, he exclaims, excited to have a new friend and band mate.

3 tightly gripped the ink-soaked love note, tears dripped from his eyes as he overlooked its authors Ink covered corpse. The tears were not of sadness however... no they were ones of relief and joy. He tightened his grip on the inky knife in his other hand.

Makosa had recently become a lot more handsy and flirty with 4. A touch to her thigh, a few remarks about her beauty. Every little thing had infuriated 3 to no end, but he didn't want to make a scene in front of 4... she deserved better than that and better than Makosa....

He kept trying to tell 4 that they were acting against her best interest... but she always blew it off, it made sense someone so perfect and pure was also innocent.

It's good that he was there, when Makosa was writing that love note to 4 in the locker rooms of Muscleforge. Trying to take his love and no doubt mistreat her. He demanded she stopped.... but she didn't listen.

S-She tried to say he was sick in the head and obsessive, that he had no write to stop her. That he would do more damage to 4 than she ever would.

A sinister smile and a strange..... vicious feeling rose in his chest as he overlooked the one who tried to rip his love from him. When he had let his emotions guide him after so long of pushing them away, he'd felt briefly sick at what he'd done but as he thought about it, knowing his was protecting 4..... quickly stamped out the guilt. 4 was so perfect. An angel giving inking form, a goddess... his goddess.

But that's the flaw with perfection everyone will try to take it from you... from 4... they would hurt her and take her away, forever out of reach from 3's loving embrace..... No he wouldn't let them, he'd stop.... kill anyone who even looked at her wrong....

3 turned away from the messy sight in front of him, dancing the knife between his ink coated fingers and hands. At that very moment, he swore no harm would ever come to 4 for as long as he drew breath.

Walking out from the locker rooms, after washing off the ink and making it look as if "a pipe had tragically burst from the wall and pierce Makosa's chest.", 3 had a face enter his head. An octoling he knew that had always given 4 a certain look....

But if 8 thought she could take his love... they had a sharp surprise coming.

WE GOING STRAIGHT FOR THE DRAMA

Tw: Trauma, kidnapping (fucking Cap'n Cuttlefish), forced house arrest

If I'm being 100% honest, Marie is more prone to this than Callie. Especially since she had to deal with the kidnapping situation. (Ofc Callie went through it, but I think it's a different effect).

Either way, you weren't part of the idol group with them, so you focused more on helping Cap'n Cuttlefish. Which also means you are more vulnerable to the Octarians.

It makes sense that you get a bad interaction with the Octarians at some point. For the sake of the plot, let's say the period is a little after Splatoon 1.

Callie and Marie are terrified for you after poor Gramps got kidnapped. They try to keep you from fighting as much as possible, distracting you with hangouts and activities. Yet, you insist on helping, Gramps and Agent 3.

Skipping to the moment when Callie is kidnapped, you go off to find her, bringing Agent 4 along with you.

Meanwhile, Marie is having bad anxiety, wondering if you'll be kidnapped as well.

Fortunately, you never are. After successfully saving Callie from DJ Octavio, you go back to your normal life: shooting Octarians and keeping your winning streak on Turf War.

Or that's what you thought.

Callie and Marie don't let you leave your house at all, keeping you trapped. No matter how much you protest, they justify themselves over the multiple incidents.

"Come on Y/n, let's just play some Super Wario Kart or something!" (Yes Wario).

"Guys! I need to catch up on my weekly patrols!"

"You can do that once DJ Octavio dies. Which is never."

(so it's kinda not yandere but it's still sprinkled in there, in sorry if it's not good. I liked writing this one but I hope I did good and you enjoyed reading this)

Callie: Callie is more of a soft yandere, she likes taking her darling places, to hang out, go on little dates or anything of the sort and basically you can nearly drown in the pile of gift she gives you, she tries her best to hide her obsession but sometimes it slips out and if you accidentally sees her secret side, she tries to deny it and bring up other things to distract you, but over all she is basically the best yandere to have compared to Marie. If someone bothers you, she can and will fight Infront of you but most of the time the person goes away when they see Callie coming up to them, she also tries to get you favorite things to keep you happy. But Callie isn't dumb, she was a agent once and behind the bubbly personality, she can basically kick someone's ass if she has to but she keeps that behind close doors to not worry you at all, after all she can't be having you be stressed out about silly people who don't like that your seen everywhere with Callie (Callie and you have matching phone cases, kinda like those actually cute ones with it having little charms carved into it and if you but them side by side, it look like a heart with your initials and ink colors on it)

Marie: she is better at hiding her obsession over her darling than callie, but she is also more scary because she basically knows where you are 24/7 even without you knowing, similar to Callie she gives you gifts but more like crow gifts like small keychains, jewelry or anything that doesn't take up to much space yet can also be on ones person. But she likes watching you do splatfest as she wants to join you in one but with all the songs and brand deal and such, she can't and also that she is basically a idol and can't do it even if she wanted to, but she does enjoy the quiet moments with you, like staying home and watching TV, or just doing anything low maintenance activities at home with you, she does like that. Marie is more secretive when she needs to deal with someone who thinks they can just go around messing with you to has to right to be mean, she can handle them on her own because callie and her where agents and shes still good with her splat charger, She never wants you to face that kind of stupid hate so it's better to let her deal with it herself. (Marie and you have those heart bracelets with both your first initials on it so when she's performing she hides it under her glove sleeve, but she wears it 24/7 basically, only sometimes does she take it off)

marina: marina is more relaxed than Callie and Marie, but she does take extra precautions on your safety, she does keep it a secret though, she is great at hacking into stuff and your phone is no exception, she only does it so she can check once in a while if anything is wrong, or if anyone on your socials is bothering you and of so. Oops their account is mysteriously gone, well their no more worrying about them now, she loves having take out of cooking with you when she can or just being around you in general, she loves making little doodles of you and pearl but for you, she is keeps her feeling for you a secret because she loves pearl yet she love you as well but she can't decide between you two. Or maybe she can love both of you, poor girl just wants to let you know she cares for you yet at the same time tries to keep her love and obsession a secret. (You and Marina have matching phone charms like Callie but she got these special made as when you put them together, it make a little blue and your color heart)

Pearl: pearl is a a bit chaotic when it comes to you, she likes to always have you by her side, she is more vocal and proud to have you around her. Pearl likes holding your hand a lot or just you being around her is enough, similar to marina, she does love you but she is in a relationship with marina and she loves her too but she will keep it a secret for now. When someone who thinks that have the 'courage' stupidity of trying to mess with you or try and hurt or pick on you, then Pearl will start swinging at the person, this girl will show no mercy until that person apologizes or you drag her away buy she still gets a few good swings in. Pearl is the type of person to take you out places, like a arcade and just win prizes or just something to do out the house, and sometimes she'll ask if you wanna come and play a turf war with her but shes okay if you don't after all of you do decide to, y'all would probably get a some snacks and go home ams watch a action movie. (Pearl and you have matching keychains on your weapons of you ever do splatfests together but also you and pearl wear it on your person if your not going to any splat fest or turf wars)

Pearl and Marina: After finding out that they had 'crushes' on you well, they had you join their relationship. Marina is still tracking you because she doesn't want you to be alone if you don't go without pearl or herself as she is still thinks to overthinks a lot of stuff but pearl is there to help as she is marinas rock and she is yours as well. Sometimes you have to be a tie breaker for things they sometimes squabble about, like when it's movie night and Marina wants to watch a comedy movie but pearl wants a action movie, they look at you for a the finally decision and you always promise to do the others movie of activity tomorrow or later as to be fair but when it's all three of you wanting to watch or do something different, they immediately pick your activity cause they love you to much to pick over them plus there's always tomorrow. If someone starts to take bad about you or mess with you, then marina and pearl ain't taken non of it, if it's digitally then marinas got that covered, cause at first she would try and find out why they are being so mean to you and if it's just for a stupid reason then she will have a talk with them but if it's for something like a dumb fight, she'll just block them and delete their account cause in her words "that's enough Internet for them", but if it's physical then Pearl will go up and yell at them before swinging cause marina suggests pearl first try to talk it out but if the person continues be mean or try and talk down about you, home girl will not hold back. (Pearl, marina and you have matching small accessories on your person, like earrings, bracelet or on your weapons for turf wars or splatfests, marina has a picture of you and pearl on her lock screen and home screen of her phone and laptop, pearl has a picture of you and Marina on her lock and home screen and a small keychain of a little heart locket with a picture of you and marina inside that's attached to her phone. You have a two little acrylic keychain trinkets of pearl and Marina that you have attached to your phone as well as some stickers of them on your weapon that you use for turf wars and splatfests)

frye: Frye is chaotic but is still calmer than pearl, she is fun and energetic, she loves to hold your hand especially when walking with you. She is more vocal as well to say what she likes about you (it's everything) and loves to talk about you, if someone decides to talk behind your back or even have the guys to say anything bad about you Infront of you, frye is kinda like pearl but frye jas more restraint as she will try and tell off this person but if they continue then she will swing. during splatfests she cheers you on as deep cut kinda has a tight schedule due to being the new idols and all but that's doesn't stop her from supporting you. (Frye and you have matching earrings as well as matching lock screens, like the moving ones in some phones)

Shiver: she is similar to Marie but she is more secretive about her yandere side, she does brag about you as well as praise you for the the many splatfests and turf wars you win, of course sometimes she hears a bit of slander from people who don't like you and well, she doesn't take to kindly to that. As she is very skilled and sometimes even challenges the inkling of octoling who decide to slander your name to a 1v1, And most back off after the challenge is brought up but some who try end up walking home in shame after being beat by shiver, she likes getting you small gifts, like one that is a custom made charm she had made for you to keep and if you decided to put it on your ink weapon or just on your clothes kinda how she has hers, she will bring more small trinkets for you as she likes when you actually have them and even wear them if you can. (Shiver and you as in the headcanon, have trinkets from each other. May not match but shiver likes collecting them as everytime see looks at them it's like a little piece of you is with her)

Big man: he is the most relaxed out of everyone, he is more of a worrywart about you but mostly he just likes being around you if he can, definitely likes to cuddle with you in bed if you'd let him but mostly is the most calm out of everyone cause if you dont get hurt by anyone then he's alright with that.

“Well here we are! Octavio’s already seen the place but I know you haven’t yet Y/N!” , Craig prattles on presenting the treehouse to the duo, Y/N looks up at it intrigued and Craig starts climbing up.

“Yea the dork lives here apparently”, Octavio says, moving next to the ladder waiting for Y/N to start climbing themselves, helping them up into the treehouse despite his earlier annoyance at their disobedience.

“Wow really? What’s that like? I hardly know what living outside the palace is like since I grew up there, my folks are smiths for the palace.” ,Y/N states with excitement as they climb up, Craig waiting at the top and holding out a hand for them to grab and help them up the last couple rungs, Octavio following soon after scoffing, a look of jealousy briefly flashing across his face.

“It ain’t much but I guess it’s nice to wake up to the cool morning breeze and see the sunrise from up here.” Craig sits on the edge of the deck and points towards the town and shoreline in the distance. Y/N sits nearby motioning for Octavio to join them, who when Y/N turns their attention from him picks them up and sits down with them in his lap much to their protests, Craig laughing next to them though with a bit of a worried look going unnoticed by the duo. “So Craig what’d we get from the competition?” Octavio bluntly asks startling Craig who starts to dig into his pockets. “Nothing big unfortunately but we did get some participation tokens!” He says with an awkward smile handing Octavio his token.

“The loser's token, huh?” Octavio says unimpressed.

“I thought we did surprisingly well!”, Craig responds from his spot prompting Octavio to boredly say, “Yeah, for a back-alley hack job of the Calamari Incantation!” Craig awkwardly chuckling, “Ah, l-let’s not dwell on that too much, take a moment to enjoy the view!” He motions out at the view.

Octavio looks to the side knocking on the wall a bit, “I gotta admit I’m surprised an airhead like you build a treehouse this stable.” This statement making Y/N lightly smack his shoulder with a quiet comment of “that’s rude!”

“WELL… The first time I tried, the floor broke apart.

“WHAT?!” Octavio exclaims looking at the inkling in shock and horror.

“After that mess, I went to the docks and asked a nice mechanic to help me.” Craig assures the prince.

“Ok, but? Why didja wanna live up in a tree anyway!?” Octavio questioned Craig settling back down.

“Because I overheard some locals talk about how much trouble they have with the smallfry waves in the spring.” He pauses to take a breath looking out over the lights of the town before continuing with pride, “I plan on staying one year, and up here, nothing escapes the razor sharp gaze of capt’n Craig Cuttlefish! I wanna do good with my short time on Mount Nantai by warning the folks of fishy activity~”

“BLEGH, I didn’t think you were such a goody-two-shoes” Octavio feigns disgust smirking as the mood lightens back up. Y/N lightly laughing before yawning a bit, which both the boys take notice of.

“Whatever. I'm glad you're staying a full year. That means we can crush the competition for real next time the festival rolls around.” Octavio states moving Y/N to lean up against his chest as they start drifting off slightly.

“Wait, really? You want -You want to keep the band going?” Craig says surprised, confused Octavio looks at him saying, “UUH, yeah? Why wouldn't I?”

“I thought you were mad about tonight! And you're ROYALTY! I bet there's important

stuff you-“, Craig starts rubbing the back of his neck.

“ARE YA KIDDING МЕ?! They gave FIRST PLACE to a buncha PREPPY school band geeks! We gotta take back what's ours!!” Octavio states fired up from frustration accidentally waking Y/N back up. “Ah sorry Y/N, didn’t mean to wake ya…”

“It’s ok, I probably should head on ahead back to the palace anyway, I need to get some sleep still if I’m gonna be able to function tomorrow for my duties as the gardener.” Y/N carefully standing up from Octavio’s lap who pouts a bit in response.

“Well let me at least help ya down the ladder so you don’t get hurt on the way down. Talk to ya again soon though! I’m sure tavi will join you soon enough once we finish up with our conversation.” Craig stands up helping lift the hatch and lower Y/n onto the ladder, a pang of jealousy hitting Octavio again but restraining himself as to not weird out Craig with his more possessive tendencies. Once the hatch lowers once more Craig returns to the deck and sits back down.

“Alright Tav what’s going on? I didn’t want to bring it up while they were around but I noticed y'all had some tension between y'all earlier… Everything alright between you two?” the inkling asks shocking octavio that someone like him would notice something was up.

“Everything is fine.”, Octavio scoffs, brushing him off and avoiding the question.

“I may be an airhead but even I can tell that’s bullsquid.” Craig responds with a deadpan look on his face, “come on I’m your buddy you can tell me. I know I saw you two hanging back earlier and saw the concerned look on Y/n’s face when you whispered something to them.”

“Like I said it's none of your business, let's just focus on crushing the competition next year before you go ya slimy hipster!” Octavio snaps back annoyed at the cuttlefish’s persistence to butt in on his business. Even if he had every reason to be concerned. He did let his anger get the better of him earlier and got jealous over nothing.

“Riiiiiight, well, It was a fun night otherwise, even if we didn’t win.” Craig states eventually dropping the topic in favor of talking about the two’s band again.

“Yea, the way all those people just…listened. The way they moved to the beat.” Octavio calmed down, reminiscing the competition earlier, the crowd’s faces as they played.

“Heh, the thrall of the moment is nice and all, but it’s what happens AFTER that matters.”, Craig says, holding up a finger and grinning his signature goofy grin. Confused Octavio side eyed the inkling asking, “What’s that s’pose to mean?”

Craig looks out over the mountain, the late night breeze blowing past the pair, he smiles and says, “A great song is one you remember. After the shows over, and there’s nothing to see~ The melody etches your soul and sets you free~” Octavio scoffs at this and smacks Craig's shoulder with a smirk Laughing, “PFFT! Ya sound like my kooky philosophy teacher!”

“Its true though!”Craig laughs with him, making Octavio respond, “Sure, sure, ya slimy hipster!”, he pauses before getting a giant smirk smacking his fist into his other hand he says with excitement, “Oooh, and next time we'll have a cool catchphrase like: Time ta drop beats till

ya DROP DEAD!”

Craig gives Octavio a sly grin responding with a hand on his chin, “Okay well, maybe avoid THREATENING the audience.”

The prince rolls his eyes at this saying, “C'mon. Don't throw shade at an idea just cuz it's trying something new.” At this Craig soon says deep in thought, “Huh. 'Trying something new. Out of the…”

“Try something new.... We're....” Octavio joins him in thought, but soon the two get an idea saying together, “Try something new… We're here Out of the Blue!” Both men grin at the sound of their new catchphrase, it rolling so smoothly and easily off both of their tongues. Watching the horizon the two sit in silence, the only sound being the crickets and the faint buzzing from the small zapfish nearby. Both once more deep in thought, only breaking out of their individual trances when they start to see the faintest light peek over the water.

Groaning Octavio stands up stretching, “Ah shit I gotta get back before the retainers realize I’ve snuck out or think I was octonapped.”

Also standing up Craig responds, “I’ll walk you back, I know the best route to sneak back in.” The duo climb back down to the ground, they talk as they return to the palace. “Todays gonna be rough since we were up all night, hopefully they advisors don’t notice the exhaustion.” Octavio sighs.

“Well if they do you can always just say you didn’t sleep good” Craig suggested.

“True, I’m definitely telling Y/N to take the day off cause they were up late too.” The prince says half heartedly, exhaustion clear in his voice. Eventually the duo reach the wall bordering the garden.

“Well you get some sleep Tav, wouldn’t want you passing out at any point today!” Craig says as Octavio climbs up, turning to look at the inkling “yea you too, don’t want you falling from your tree house because you’re too delirious to see straight.” He responds with a smirk before dropping back down into the garden. Creeping back into his room he changes into his sleep wear, hiding his disguise in a decorative chest. Turning to go to his bed he notices a small package on his table with a note. “I found something for you when I was out, I wasn’t able to give it to you earlier. Hope you like it, love Y/N”

He smiles a bit at the note before picking up the parcel, opening it and seeing a new octobrush maintenance kit, the comb in his last one had broken and had been using his fingers to clean out the brush for a bit, often forgetting to request a new one, the wax had also gone bad due to his past kit being of a bit lower quality, a servant who’d since been fired for cutting corners in their duties had not grabbed the correct one when given instructions to pick up a new kit, they’d tried to pocket the extra coin from their attempt to once more shirk their job. This one however he could see was much higher quality, a sturdy comb laid in the small box with a new stick of wax, stamped with the maker’s signature, as well as an application brush for the wax and a new cloth for finishing the process. There also was a small jar of conditioner for the bristles of the brush as well. He smiled at the thoughtful gesture, his prior anger completely fading and becoming a bit embarrassed at how he behaved towards them, especially when he’d seen Craig helping them up into the treehouse. “Shit, now I feel bad snapping at them like that, looks like I owe them an apology, I should return the favor and find something nice for them as well next time I get out to town with Craig.” Yawning he closes the wooden box and sets it down, turning in for the night, his kind set on making it up to his partner in the morning.
