Had a thought of a scenario where Yan furina
And Yan Neuvillette meet Fishman reader
Where when furina was being overwhelmed by the crowd of people and suddenly they appear in front of them making the crowd run away
With Neuvillette I belive he would find Fishman reader one day taking care of a Melusines because a fish hook got stuck in there leg because of a fisherman
Sorry for the rambling
-🌮annon
ah this was such a cool ask! sorry it took so long to get to, I hope you enjoy it :D
Tumblr media
Warning: this post contains yandere-themes, including obsessive behavior, mentions of fishmen being extinct, reader having a fishing hook in their ear, and other potential topics. Please read at your own risk!
Yandere!Furina would be grateful for the sudden pushback of the crowd, even if it meant being face-to-face with a rather intimidating species. Fishfolk had been the previous inhabitants of Fontaine, but long ago when the first Hydro Archon took possession of the land, they were driven back into the sea. It was believed they had gone instinct by now, having not been spotted for many, many decades, but now here you were.
Furina felt a breath of relief as the crowd seemed to part, more interested in getting away from the general area than anything involving her. Her relief was momentary though as she quickly saw the reason why, you were approaching, and fast. She was too stunned to even speak, staring at you wide-eyed as she froze on the spot. Furina couldn’t believe it, not only were fishfolk still living, but one had been bold enough to come up on land. At that moment she felt something stir inside her, a swirl of curiosity and gratitude. She knew that she needed to know more about you, to learn everything there was about you, your way of life, and why you had come to land.
Yandere!Neuvillette would find you curious, he had read many a book about fishfolk species but all had declared them officially extinct, the species not having been spotted in a couple hundred years. He had heard through the chain of melusines that he saw on a day-to-day basis that a strange person had been spotted on a nearby shore, with a fish hook caught in their ear! Curiously he decided to investigate, after all the area was a designated wildlife preserve so anyone fishing there would be taken into custody immediately. The sand was soft beneath the heel of his boots as Neuvillette descended the beach, eyes cast to the group of Melusines gathered on the beach. It wasn’t uncommon for this many to be in one area, but to be gathered in such a tight circle, all murmuring to each other so intensely was something Neuvillette didn’t see often. Slowly approaching, he saw the cause of concern. A citizen, but one of the sea and not the land, was sat on the beach, face scrunched in pain as the Meulisine’s paws slowly worked a rather thick, complicated hook out of their ear-fin. Was this one of the extinct fishfolk that the history books spoke of? Neuvillette needed to know more.

⚘ 𝘢𝘴 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦.
The Iudex of Fontaine is a busy man. However could he possibly keep track of you in the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Fortunately for him, the Melusines have his back.
yandere! neuvillette x gn! reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Soft orange cracks of the setting sun lurked in the office of the Iudex, the endless stacks of papers causing him much stress as his mind wandered to literally anything other than the work he ought to be doing. His hands shook with worry as he glanced over at the large glass of water beside him, the clear liquid seemingly staring back at him, daring the man to finally make a move.
Despite his status, despite his power, Neuvillette was but a man when it came to you.
Never in his life had he allowed himself to grow so attached to another person. For all those centuries he spent walking on this Earth, Neuvillette kept a calm demeanor and polite face to the world. He was renowned for his kindness and gentle heart despite the viciousness his duties required of him. He stood high as the personification of justice itself, a proud symbol of everything which needed to be held up high and respected. He was indeed very much respected. Even loved in some special way by the people of Fontaine.
He never realized just how much his soul ached for the presence of another human being by his side, someone who was willing to allow him to just... be himself. Someone who would allow him to drop the mask for a few blissful moments, a person who would tell him that it was okay for him to make a mistake.
Neuvillette never acted on these desires.
That was precisely why he felt so starstruck at the downright violation of his heart.
How could you do this to him? How dare you do this to him? Neuvillette lost count how many times he tried to shoo you off but it was to no avail. It was as if you were glued to him by the hip and he adored every moment of it.
His weeping heart was not ready for the intensity of his emotions.
Sometimes when no one was around, he would shed tears at the thought of you. What were you doing? How was your day? Why did you care so much about him? Were you even aware of the emotional turmoil you caused him? Honestly, he could not even be mad at you.
He loved you too much to ever be angry with you.
Dark grey clouds would hover high above all of Fontaine, the tears of the crying dragon cascading down the world. Neuvillette would sit in his office, alone and scared, with no one to comfort him.
That was his first initial thought at least.
Some people say that there is a rainbow behind every corner and as time passed, the Iudex learned that lesson too. Tiny footsteps would tail behind him like looming shadows, always there but out of reach. Whenever he would turn around there would be no one there and if there ever was he would have to lower his gaze down towards the ground, only to be met with the face of a smiling Melusine. He would have a chat with the sweet creature which always managed to lift his spirits, even for a little bit. The conversations were usually brief but as time went on the tiny Melusines became more... nosey, shall we say.
They would ask the Iudex personal questions which they could have not known about such as who was that person who kept visiting him in his office. What was his affiliation with them. The blush on his pale cheeks always gave him away which always caused the Melusines to giggle but they would say nothing more, always dropping the topic as fast as they brought it up.
Melusines did not understand human nature and its complicated feelings. Neither did Neuvillette, which they knew. That was no reason for them not to try to learn.
One day though, Liath delivered a set of organized documents straight to Neuvillette's desk. He first found this to be odd but the Melusine said nothing, only giving him a mysterious little smile as she waited for the Iudex to see the contents of the things she had brought.
With a delicate touch, Neuvillette took the files in his gloved hands and opened them carefully. His eyes widened in shock as he read everything with utmost care.
Absolutely everything inside was about you.
Your height, weight, age, birth certificate, some little things that were written down by hand such as your hobbies, names of friends and family, places you frequented.
Neuvillette quickly shut the folder, his heart pumping hard and fast as he looked back at Liath.
"This was a joint operation by all of us. We just wished to ease your suffering, Monsieur Neuvillette."
He could feel his throat drying up with each passing moment, any semblance of a potential word which he wanted to say all dying on his tongue.
This was wrong, illegal even.
He still could not help but to feel touched.
He did not reprimand the Melusines for their actions. He was ashamed for relying on such tactics. For the time being though, this could be a surefire way to help him ease his anxieties.
Perhaps he could even woo you a little in the process as well...

He’s a selfish dragon. He knows he should let you go, free you from the tower your father so cruelly placed you in. That would be the humane thing to do. Alas, he is no human. He was—and is—monstrous beast of legend, yet here he remains just as much a prisoner as you after being outsmarted by your father. He should hate you for even having that wretched man’s blood, but your golden heart beckons to him. He is a dragon, after all, and he would be remiss to ignore treasure when he sees it.
He’s hoarding you away, an avaricious move that goes beyond his duty to fight off your suitors until one bests him. He won’t let them take you; it doesn’t matter how hard they try.
You became his the moment you were both charged with this tower.
And dragons will do anything to keep their things.

--> ||❝ The Creator has a.. LOVER?! ❞
SAGAU || Warnings: fluff, gender neutral reader
[ The people of Teyvat find out their grace has been romantically involved with someone for a while now.. what do they think about it? ]
Character(s): NEUVILLETTE, ZHONGLI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
-> [ NEUVILLETTE ]
“Oh, the Iudex of Fontaine is the creator’s chosen suitor? Okay.. He’s a qualified and accomplished man. I can see why the creator chose someone like him.”
With the one and only hydro dragon sovereign stuck to your side at all times, it was no surprise to anyone that the two of you had gotten close. But the creator falling in love with him?? That’s different.
Of course, the people of Teyvat had all wished to have a chance with you. And of course, everyone knew it was impossible… but hope is a good thing right? They knew the day would come though, just not so soon..
When the people found out that the Creator had someone they loved more than the usual “I love all of Teyvat equally and platonically.” EVERYONE WENT CRAZY. What do you mean the creator has a LOVER? What do you mean they’ve probably kissed. WHAT DO YOU MEAN ITS THE IUDEX OF FONTAINE????
Nevertheless, no one was actually disappointed. They had heard you talk about him through the screen even before you descended to Teyvat. They were glad you were happy… I guess (though they wish it was with them.) Fontaine obviously took pride in having the creator spend a lot of their time residing there, even more pride in the fact that you were romantically involved with a citizen of Fontaine.
─━━ ꯭  ───ׂ─ִ─  ͜͡✿͜͡  ─ִ──ׂ──  ꯭  ━━ִ─
Neuvillette wasn’t quite sure how to react to all of the publicity the news had gotten. Every time the two of you go out together he feels the stares coming from the people around you. The stares weren’t the usual stares he got when he was doing a court trial.. they felt new to him. He was glad that he was at least able to say more affectionate words to you out in public though!
“Monsieur Neuvillette! I’ve heard the recent news.. haha.. so, how’s it being with the Creator? Bet you feel real lucky, huh.“
“I would consider myself lucky to be with Y/N. I feel that no amount of love give—“
“Y/N???? I-I MEAN— YOU’RE ON A FIRST NAME BASIS WITH YOUR GRACE?!”
“I am. Now, if I may continue…”
When he’s not actively working and someone asks him about you, he could yap about you for HOURS. So much to the point people avoid bringing you up even in non-professional events. He’s literally lovestruck. Heart eyes when he looks at you and everything. (everyone’s secretly side-eyeing him out of jealousy.)
Tumblr media
-> [ ZHONGLI ]
“Hm.. The Wangsheng Funeral Consultant..? He is quite a handsome man, but is that all? Of course we respect him! It’s just that.. I expected the Creator’s suitor to be an Archon or something. But if that’s what the creator wants, we should respect their choice right?
The people of Liyue had begun to put the pieces together. No wonder you were always visiting the Funeral Parlor.. wait, were the times that the both of you were spotted together at Iron Tongue Tian’s Stall listening to the telling of old stories.. DATES?? How could they have only just now realized…
Well, now that the news is out at least you can comfortably hold his hand outside of the Parlor! Not everyone is completely happy with this though.. Who might that be? The other archons of course! They all took pride in being among some of the closest beings in Teyvat to you, but now that they weren’t all equally close to you, feelings of jealousy began to rise.
Zhongli secretly felt smug about that though. I mean, of course anyone would. Being the Creator’s lover is probably the biggest flex in all of Teyvat!! Only certain people are able to even be close to the Creator, not to mention TOUCH them. (which are the playable characters.) Oh, and doing affectionate things like lovers do WITH THE CREATOR?? The things people would do to be in Zhongli’s place.
─━━ ꯭  ───ׂ─ִ─  ͜͡✿͜͡  ─ִ──ׂ──  ꯭  ━━ִ─
You and Zhongli were taking a walk in the city of Liyue as you always do. There was a cool breeze and the orange lights coming from the food stalls gave the atmosphere a comfortable, warm feeling. You looked back at Zhongli who had already been staring at you. He’s about to put his arms around you when out of nowhere—
“Your Grace! Fancy seeing you here.. ehe. Are you here for the Lantern Rite? Oh! You should come to the Windblume Festival again! We’ll make sure to make it extraaa special, just for you. Speaking of special— There’s a new wine back in Mondstadt made specially from the freshest dandelio—“
“Hello, Venti.”
“Oh. Hello Mr. Zhongli. Are you busy right now? If not, the Funeral Parlor is calling for you. You should probably go.”
“The Funeral Parlor is closed today, Venti.”
lmao archons actively trying to get you to spend time with them instead of Zhongli. (They can’t stand to see you hugging, holding hands, and doing all kinds of sappy activities with him)
Tumblr media

CW: Yandere Themes, Non-Sexual Intimacy, Neuvillette Tastes Your Tears
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
Yandere!Neuvillette, who holds you tenderly when you cry. It's the only time you'll let him, with how you mope around his home like a hollow spirit, all your passion and freedom easily extinguished like a candle flame. He quietly murmurs sweet poison into your ear, urging you to give up this pointless fight. Despite how you may howl through your bars and claw at this cage, Neuvillette will never let you escape his love.
After you fall limp in his arms, tears glisten like diamonds in your eyes. Just the sight of them causes already-gray skies to darken further. The Iudex gently swipes at them, and he cannot resist the urge to put his knuckles to his lips.
Bittersweet. Your tears taste bittersweet.
This moment, too, is bittersweet. Only after months of captivity have you allowed him to hold you, to even be near you. Neuvillette wants to love you the way you deserve to be loved, and he knows that this endless stalemate is only hurting both you and him.
But while he may have the mind of a lover, he has the heart of a dragon. He is greedy, and if he cannot have your laughter, then he will have your tears. After all, when humans marry, they promise to love each other, for better or worse.
So Neuvillette will love you. Forever.

His Hatchling
Platonic! Yandere! Neuvillette x GN! Child! Reader
Tumblr media
Description: It might not seem like it, but dragons are very protective over their hatchlings. Even if the hatchling in question aren't dragon.
Warning: Platonic Yandere. OOC. English is my second language. Some hints of child negligence.
________
He met the kid near Palais Mermonia for the first time.
Judging by the kid's clothes, they were from Mondstadt. They were sitting at the bottom of Hydro Archon's statue, looking around. And big [e/c] eyes shined with curiosity.
Neuvillette didn't pay too much though to them. Just an ordinary kid, doing ordinary things. Perhaps, they were waiting for their friends.
Neuvillette had more important things on his mind.
When he left Palais Mermonia at the evening, kid were still here. At the bottom of the Hydro Archon's statue.
_____
Kid were here the next day. Still sitting at the bottom of the Hydro Archon's statue. Neuvillette still wasn't worried about them. Of course, Archon's statue was an unusual spot for a kid to hang out, but, again, nothing to be worried about.
He has a lot of work to do, so Neuvillette should focus on finishing it, instead of thinking about foreigner.
During lunchtime, he heard laughing, coming from the outside. Neuvillette saw, how kid from earlier were playing with some melusines, that were off duty.
Neuvillette was slightly worried. Would that foreigner be rude towards melusines?
No. It doesn't look like the kid were bad. Just a simple kid.
When Neuvillette left Palais Mermonia, he saw kid sitting at the bottom of Hydro Archon's statue again.
_____________
It's been going on for two weeks.
Kid were staying sitting at the bottom of Hydro Archon's statue in the morning and in the evening and would play with free melusines during the day.
And Neuvillette started to worry about them. Where were kid's parents? Neuvillette couldn't tell for sure, if someone have recently moved to Fontaine from Mondstadt, but, even if there were new citizens, why they weren't worried about their kid doing whatever they want for two weeks straight?!
Neuvillette was tapping fingers against the table's surface, while Sedene were taking finished paperwork from his desk. Melusine tilted her head.
"Monsieur Neuvillette? Is something wrong? Can I help you with something?"
Neuvillette's breath hitched.
"No, everything is fine, Sedene. Don't worry." Neuvillette tapped his fingers again. After some consideration, he asked. "Sedene, do you knew anything about the kid that have been staying near Palais Mermonia for the last two weeks?"
Sedene's ears perked up.
"You mean [Y/N]? They are a sweet kid. They came from Mondstadt. I didn't have too many chances to interact with them, but other melusines are having a good opinion about them."
Neuvillette, without noticing, leaned forward.
"And their parents?"
Sedene rubbed her cheek.
"I haven't seen them, and [Y/N] aren't talking about them. But I believe, that Liath saw them. Monsieur Neuvillette, is something wrong with [Y/N]'s parents? Did they do something to [Y/N]?" melusine looked worried.
Neuvillette slowly shook his head.
"I am not sure. But it is possible. Can you..."
Sedene didn't let Neuvillette finish.
"Yes, Monsieur Neuvillette, I will tell others to keep an eye on them!"
With determination in her eyes, melusine turned around and left Neuvillette's office.
Chief Justice made a mental note to himself. He should spoke to Liath as soon as possible.
____________
"[Y/N]'s parents? Well, I don't really know what to say about them." Liath scratched behind her ear. Melusine tapped her foot against the pavement. "[Y/N] said, that they are nice people, but are very busy with the recent moving to the new nation" Liath frowned. "I saw their parents few times. One thing for certain. They do look more interested in settling in, then looking after [Y/N]. They eat lunch with us every day, and, most of the time, they only have snacks, instead of normal food."
__________
You were sitting under Hydro Archon's statue, as usual. You were bored. All of your melusines friends were on duty today, you still didn't make friends among other kids, and your parents were busy. You were alone, you were bored, and you were hungry.
If it wasn't for your parents' refusal to give you keys to a new house, letting you stay at home, while they were at work, and inability to give you a few more mora coins...
You were so lost in your mind, you didn't notice, how a shadow was cast over you.
A quiet coughing, however, grabbed your attention.
You looked up. And saw Monsieur Neuvillette. You haven't seen him in person before, but you recognized him from melusines' tales. You gulped. You felt nervous around Chief Justice. And, it seems, he was waiting for you to pay attention to him
You immediately jumped up from your seat, stand up, and nodded to Neuvillette.
"Good afternoon, Monsieur Neuvillette!" you whispered. You didn't hear Neuvillette's chuckle.
"Good afternoon to you two, [Y/N], right? Melusines have been talking about you."
A shy smile appeared on your face.
"Really? Great! I really like them! They are my friends!"
Neuvillette nodded.
"Good to hear. Actually, I am here, because melusines asked me to keep you company at lunch. If you are with that, of course."
Smile disappeared from your face. You don't want to show to Chief Justice, that you only don't have mora to buy something for lunch.
Like he read your thoughts, Neuvillette continue.
"I overdid myself yesterday while cooking, and now have enough food for two people. If you want, I am more than fine to share some with you."
He reached a hand towards you, inviting you to join him.
After few seconds, you took his hand.
___________________
A week passed.
A week, during which Neuvillette spend time with [Y/N].
Neuvillette couldn't really say, what was going on with him. There was no reason for him to be so concerned over the child. Kid have parents, kid have home!
Neuvillette told it to himself, while getting a soft bed and blankets for a new room in his house. Neuvillette told it to himself, while buying toys and new furniture for a new room in his house. Neuvillette told to himself, while cooking food for [Y/N].
For his hatchling.
He should keep his hatchling safe.
Especially, from this pair, that were neglecting you.
___________
Something strange was happening.
At first, you eat lunches with Neuvillette. Who always has enough food for two.
Melusines started to play close attention to you and your parents.
Then, Neuvillette started letting you spend time in his office. It was better, then staying on Court of Fontaine's streets, yes. But it was strange.
Then one day, your parents suddenly faced with legal charges. They were found guilty and send to Fortress of Meropide.
And you were adopted by Chief Justice.
___________
You were so quiet, while Neuvillette was taking you to his house, holding your hand.
Chief Justice doesn't mind the silence.
Soon, his hatchling will see his new room and new house.
His hatchling will be safe.
He will take care of his hatchling.
And make sure, that no one will harm His Hatchling.

Yeah, how you got lost is a total mystery. By, not you're in a nation with big scary people. This is post Sumeru archon quest.
Harbingers who know how to handle kids
Childe, Arlecchino, Pulcinella
Harbingers who chose to avoid you
Sandrone &Pantalone
Harbingers who have no idea what to do
Capitano, Pierro, Columbina
Harbinger who will be killed on site of spotted within 6 feet of you
Dottore
Now, while Arlecchino is teaching the Tsaritsa how to handle a small child, the cold goddess of love feels her heart burn with maternal instincts. Now, she's acting like any mother would. You're there for about two weeks when Fontainian ambassadors tell them that Neuvillette ordered your return. Not wanting an international incident, the Tsaritsa reluctantly agreed... but not before putting all the clothes and toys you were given during your stay in a box for you to take home.
Now, Neuvillette is not happy when he finds out his kid is missing. Once he gets word you'll be returned, he goes back to scolding the person or god who lost you. He will debate putting that person on trial.
Arlecchino returns tou and your box to Neuvillette, and everything goes back to normal, unless you count the letters being sent to you by the Tsaritsa, who passed them to Arlecchino to have Lynette, Lyney, or Freminet deliver them to you.

Hello! I really love you self aware idea! Can you please make another part? This time Can you focuse more on Mavuika and the Creator!Reader (Gender Neutral),please? (Also om how the other archons and Neuvillete would be trying to search for the reader and maybe using other organizations to help the search) if not please feel free to ignore this. Have a wonderful day!
This is my first time getting a request! Hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Synopsis: hanging out with Mavuika! (And the other nations' planning to reach you) part 1 part 3 part 4
TW: Mavuika and reader's relationship is implied romantic but can be read as platonic, OOC, yandere, SAGAU imposter au, bad writing, bad grammar, english is not my first language, not beta read
Characters: Mavuika x gn!creator!reader (again can be seen as romantic or platonic), yandere Archons + Neuvillette x reader
Tumblr media
Cleaning at bars was a tedious job. It was easy, sure, but it got boring at times. Customers always made the day fun with their gossip, so you leaned into that. It could've been something simple, like how their boyfriend cheated on them, but it was still more entertaining than mopping the floor.
However, there was always one customer every night that you were looking forward to meeting.
Always clad in a mysterious cloak that made them look like a runaway, blazing bright eyes and red hair.
It was Mavuika.
She came a bit later than usual. You decided not to worry, Archon duties are a lot after all. Yet, she came anyway, dressed the same as before. The cloak was a bit messily put on, so her hair was still visible. You sighed as you left the place you were cleaning and went up in front of her.
"You didn't have to come y'know," you fixed her cloak to hide her hair, yet she only smiled at you.
"I insist," she only replied back. You rubbed your temples at the stubborn woman. Seriously, shouldn't she be busy with work or something?
She seemed to be eager to tell you something, considering how she was holding your hand. You raised an eyebrow at her as you gestured her to speak.
"Well, want to combat practice with me later, (fake name)?" Oh no. You didn't know how to fight! Sure, you did fight against the abyss, but you barely managed to survive!
But you only nodded. Declining now would only make her suspicious, even though the fact that you were being chased around without fighting back was suspicious enough. But, you'll find out a reason later, for now, all you had to do was agree.
"Sure, but only at my day off. Maybe the day after tomorrow?" You were trying to find a lie to tell her then, but for now, you hid your feelings with a smile. She nodded, looking content with your answer.
"The day after tomorrow it is."
Tumblr media
Your hands were uncomfortably sweaty.
The day after tomorrow being right now, you had to tell Mavuika as quick as you could to not gain suspicion. Telling her you got isekai'd from another world was obviously not an option, but you had already prepared something in your head. It was similar to the isekai idea, but it's much more believable. The execution was the only problem.
You were at the outskirts of the Scions of Canopy, where Kinich lived. She came 5 minutes later and greeted you with much courtesy.
"Hope I didn't make you wait for long (fake name)," she told with a bit embarrassment. You shrugged her off.
"It's fine Mavuika, and you can just call me (name)," you replied back. You mustered up the courage to tell her your reason not to fight. But before that, you had to ask her just this one thing.
"How did you know that I was the creator? I don't think there was any part of me that stood out," you were interested to know, after all you thought that you hid yourself very well.
She all but smiled as she pointed out the grass behind you.
"The creator is connected to Teyvat, so everything would bloom in their wake. Since you were in the nation of Pyro, where I'll know everything that's going on, it was quite easy to find out." You looked behind to see beautiful flowers right behind you. You were shocked to see this many flowers in one trail. Wait, then why did the other Archons not realize that you were the creator? Eh that doesn't really matter, what matters was that you were here with Mavuika, safe and sound. But, you took this revelation to gift her something.
You took a flower from the trail. Mavuika was interested to see what you were doing, but you hid it from her. Using the flowers and leaves, you created a flower crown for her and put it a top her head. You smiled, she did too.
"Thank you (name)," she laughed softly. But now you had to explain the fighting part. You sighed as you contemplated.
"Err, Mavuika, I actually don't know how to fight.." You mumbled and cursed your self for it. She looked surprised.
"Why not?" She asked again. You felt embarrassed for having to say the reason. You took a deep breath and prepares to say why.
"I'm.. Not the creator. Like the original one. I'm a reincarnation of them, I have no idea how to fight not do I know anything about the past," you breathed out, cringing at what you just said. However all she did was look at you with understanding, after all, she knows the pain of reincarnation.
"It's fine! But do you know anything about the previous creator then?" She asked curiously, to which you shook your head. She hummed. She got an idea to improvise, it seems like.
"How about I teach you then?" Huh?! This wasn't going as planned! You didn't want to fight at all.
"T-that's not needed, I'll j-just waste your time," you tried convincing her, but she didn't budge. Eventually though, you reluctantly agreed. She smiled and thanked you for allowing her to help.
"Just try to imagine yourself using Pyro abilities, you'll get the hang of it later." You were really trying. The amount of stress that you had to not burn yourself to death was enough to actually kill you. Still, you trusted Mavuika and her abilities, so you tried anyway. You tried and tried and tried, but nothing really came. You were visibly disappointed, but Mavuika tried to encourage you.
"How about this, you imagine something you don't like, and try to use your emotions to drag your Pyro ability out," she suggested. You seemed to find this useful, so you tried it.
Closing your eyes, you thought of something terrible happening, and instead of seeing the imposter hunt that you very despised, you instead saw Mavuika.
You were being hunted down, sure, but what was most important was that she was getting punished by the Archons for not giving up the imposter. Her face was battered and bruised, and she was slowly slipping into unconsciousness. You watched in horror, and tears started to well up in your eyes. This couldn't be! Unfortunately, you were crying in real life too, and Mavuika realized immediately.
"Okay, uhh, you don't need to think about it now," she tried comforting you, bringing you in an embrace to calm you down. Once you came back to reality, your eyes were puffy, and your face was red.
"... Sorry, can we do this another time?" You sniffled, still holding her. She was warm, and you found your self drifting to sleep. She sighed as she picked you up.
"Of course, just don't overdo anything, kay?" She smiled warmly, brushing the tears from your eyes. She wrapped you in a cloak, getting ready to start camp.

Neuvillette contorted his face in disgust. The waters tasted disgustingly sweet. The creator's happiness with another person, likely an Archon. But the waters then tasted bitter, from the creator's sadness.
If only he could just drag you out of that place and keep you for himself, but no. He'll need the help of the other nations to do so, so he sucked it up and left the Palais Mermonia. He visited Furina, just checking in on her before leaving. He'd leave some of the work for Clorinde to do, he trusted her enough to do that anyway.
Reaching the imposter's throne room, there was a long sitting area where the rulers of the nations were there. Only the Cryo, Pyro and Anemo Archons weren't there, but the acting grandmaster came for Anemo, and the director of the Fatui Harbingers came for Cryo. The Geo Archon returned to his status as the God of Contracts, and the Electro and Dendro archon were sitting in their own seats. The imposter was on the creator's throne. They were dead, blood seeping out of their head. Their expression was one of shock, as he could vividly remember the day the Geo Archon killed the imposter.
A seat was vacant. He clenched his teeth at the mere thought of the Pyro Archon. He'd get you back from her, no matter what it took.
"We all know that the creator is in the nation of war, Natlan. However, since the neither of us know its weaknesses besides the Pyro Archon being a human, we need to create a plan to ambush the nation," Jean spoke up. Everyone in the room nodded along with her, too obsessed to notice their wrong doings. However, there was one who objected to this clause.
Nahida raised her hand to interrupt Jean, turning all eyes on her.
"You all chased down the creator like a rabid dog, and now you're trying to kidnap them to do a job that they don't want? What kind of leaders are you? The creator was in Natlan for a few months by now, and since they're not leaving, they are probably enjoying a better life there than your own selfish desires," she objected.
Neuvillette all but admired the young Archon. Despite being small and weaker than the others, she still had the bravery to stand against everyone. However, this was one thing that he didn't agree with. He just stayed quiet though, waiting for someone to object the small Archon.
Raiden did. The God of Eternity looked at Nahida with disdain, preparing to answer the deity.
"And how are you so sure that the creator is having a better life in Natlan Buer? For all we could know, they could actually be running around the vast nation. And, you are one of the younger Archons after all, what use does your words have?" She asked coldly. When she was about to respond back, she got interrupted.
"It is settled, we shall find the creator in Natlan, no questions," the God of Contracts added in. Nahida couldn't speak now. After all, what power does she have to a much more experienced God?
Neuvillete glared at the Archons.
"Whoever shall get the creator first will be the one to solely have the creator in their nation," Neuvillete furrowed his brows at the Archons. They did the same, but still agreed to the conditions, not really thinking of what you want.
Now, all the leaders were going back to their nation, telling their line of military to get prepared. They had to have you all for yourself, and they will do anything for it.

hello <3
wishing you freedom and happiness from academic hell before diving in. you opened requests so 👉👈
forgive me if this counts as idea stealing since you posted about it but yan! neuvillette with a darling who wants to file for divorce would be such a messy situation. court proceedings go to him now that the oratrice is no longer functioning. how do you expect to win against the law of the land?
filing divorce in a different land also isn't an option, because it is written in your marriage contract that you cannot leave fontaine without your husband and he sure as hell isn't going to come with you for something like this
oh well.

“Husband, I wish for a divorce.”
In Spring, the snow of the bygone winter thaws and raises the tides. They twirl to the edges of the shores ; push and pull, back and forth, mesmerizing the nation of Hydro with their temptatious dance.
You wonder what it'd take to entice the waves to your direction, to have the power to make them rage and placate. When one desires to control something great, they see its reflection upon mundane things — just as you envision yourself dictating the tides upon cups of dainty porcelain, noon to evening and midnight to dawn — your spoon conducts its rhythm.
In Summer, the waters boil and vaporize upon the touch of sunlight to reach the heavens and complete the cycle. Just as wisps of steaming tea tantalize their way upwards from cups and tea pots. Beyond that translucent veil stares back a pair of watchful eyes, undecipherable are their emotions and primordial their age.
“The tides of time heed no one's orders or pleas. Very well, mon trésor, let us begin this trial.”
You're quick to catch the hint and slow to react, deliberate and relaxed as you bring the rim of the cup to your lips. The tea scathes your lips and paints your tongue bitter, bitter, bitter — a smile stretches across your tingling lips, deeming the liquid's taste adequate to your present temperament.
You are bitter, not because of the contents of this ‘trial’ but, due to the delay of it. You've been crossing days after days from heaps of calendars, preparing all your accusations and aligning evidence to back up your claims for this chance only comes once every fin de siècle.
“I heard your justice machine broke?” a ‘clang’ accompanies the tea cup meeting the saucer. You focus on the chirping of birds and the noises of crystal flies buzzing past instead of the possible damage done by your words.
You hear it, the swell of rising waves before they pacify with a purposeful cough. You don't let the event’s lamentable duration plunder your motivation, more precisely, you take it as a good start.
“Calling it broken is quite the stretch. You and I both know that the Oratrice Mechanique d’Analyse Cardinale—”
You swat a hand and the waves placate completely, sans any questions or any other brewing feelings. “I'm quite aware of what it's called, husband.” ‘I just could not care less’ goes unsaid.
You point your finger towards the Iudex of Fontaine, “You,” then return it back to yourself, “and I, both know the purpose of me bringing that incident up in our private trial.”
No amount of sensory loss would render someone ignorant of the mockery of your words. You bite the inside of your cheek in a lazy attempt to suppress a smirk, times like this really make you regret not having the privilege to face off against Neuvillette in the Court of this land ; you're quite sure your most recent stunt would earn you many bewildered gasps. If only the gates of your husband's manor crashed down, perhaps incapacitating him in the process for good measure.
“...Yes, we do. Your intention is to insinuate the impending prophecy and learn how we plan to prevent or battle it.”
Neuvillette's words resemble velvet in the manner they roll off his tongue, you catch his gaze drifting towards the chalice to his left, from where his reflection returns his stare. There are many tales passed among melusines of the equanimity practiced by your husband in even the most dire situations. But you have seen the depths of the ocean, where its secrets are forever concealed by an ever stretching darkness.
“Correct,” you affirm.
“Unfortunately, mon trésor, our investigations have not yet reached a decisive conclusion. While I can guarantee you that we'll do our utmost in the face of the prophecy, I cannot yet give you the specific details. Besides, this information is quite... arbitrary to our ‘trial’.”
The ocean returns your scrutiny, threatening to yank your breath away to that unknown darkness. You watch the ripples along its surface, wondering and devising plots to uproot the ocean's schemes from your safe space.
You want to tear through that ataraxia and illuminate those depths for all to see its hideous secrets — so that your claims will no longer be deemed senseless.
“Well, you could try acting the part of the Iudex first.” you exhibit great interest in your nails.
“Apologies, mon trésor. The trial is now in session.”
The most preposterous trial there ever was, in fact ; spectated by cups of tea and plates of desserts, overlooked by the jury of birds and bees under the naked skies and one stubborn ‘judge’ to lay down the final verdict — who was also the accused in question.
It'd be more fitting to call this some courtroom version of playing house and you wonder if Neuvillette sees it as exactly this ; since the notion of normal matrimonial life flies past his head.
You swallow your profound irritation at his nonchalance and that prickling soft gaze, the calm of the ocean surface is just a facade, you remind yourself.
“O honorable Chief Justice of Fontaine, riddle me of what I must do with my husband. He sees fit to cage me down while preaching justice simultaneously and allows me not to indulge in ‘rudimentary interactions’ with any other life forms. Do you not think that such hypocrisy is utterly ridiculous?”
Your hand cradles your heart, fully embracing the spirit of a mistreated spouse. Neuvillette regards it with an almost comical graveness, nodding as though he understands. Had it not been for the situation, you would've marveled at how willingly he's playing along with this fiasco.
A gloved hand stretches out to you in suggestion, “Perhaps it's because your husband just worries too much for your well-being?”
Your right eye twitches, “I’ve made it acutely obvious to him that I'm far from a toddler in need of constant supervision.”
The Iudex smiles succinctly, “I’m sure that he's not ignorant of that fact. But if, as you say, your husband guards you with such determination that you're not allowed to interact with any other forms of living organisms besides himself, it means that you hold great value to him.”
You cross your arms petulantly, it's not that you're forbidden from talking with everyone, many of Neuvillette's most trusted melusines do come to add flickers of color to your otherwise bleak existence sporadically.
You're grateful for their kindness and brief companionship but, this small leeway does not outweigh the rest of your husband's misdeeds. Your eyes flicker to the patient eyes of the man separated by one small oak table, barely suppressing a scowl at his serene composure.
You despise it when he acts like the raw image of propriety, of an ideal husband ; so withdrawn from the covetous creature that he actually is — because it poses you as a lunatic, a lunatic who demands separation from what the rest of society perceives as perfection and debilitates all of your claims.
The more you think about it, the more frustrated you get — you don't want to let frustration consume you, you don't want to lose this one opportunity for freedom. Your nails dig into the sleeves of your apparel as your mind scrambles to search for more accusations.
Why did you want a divorce again?
You control your erratic breaths forcefully, “Well, I don't feel safe in Fontaine anymore. A deadly prophecy is at our door and with no solution in sight. I'd much prefer to relocate to someplace with less volatile weather, like Liyue or Mondstadt.”
Neuvillette tilts his head, “Ah, you want to go on a vacation, am I correct? To be honest, I've been entertaining the thought of traveling to the other nations with you by my side for quite a while. Though, things being the way as they're now, that is not possible. I can promise you that after everything has been settled, we will go on a journey together, mon trésor.”
This time you don't bother to conceal your disbelief, of course he focuses on the part that most serves him and twists the narrative to further enrich his fantasies! You bite your tongue back from yelling that you don't want a vacation, you want freedom from these suffocating high walls of marble. You don't just want freedom from Neuvillette, you want freedom from this cursed nation and it's solely Neuvillette's fault you were unable to do so with your kin five hundred years ago.
“Fontaine will face diplomatic and political consequences soon. Because you threw that Harbinger of Sumeru—”
“Sneznaya, mon trésor.”
“—I know that. My point is that we might face backlash from the Fatui in our vulnerable state and who knows? Fontaine might just collapse as a nation! I don't want to stay in a city like this.”
You freeze at the sigh that escapes Neuvillette's lips, you've been probing and digging for a normal human reaction from this man for a while, but at the instance that he actually gives it, you cannot help but find it jarring.
“Fontaine will not collapse from something as trivial as diplomatic pressure from the Fatui. Even though the prophecy looms above our heads, there are many factions that are actively working towards prevention. And even if Fontaine were to be drowned tomorrow, I have faith that not all of the citizens will be dissolved and you would always be my first priority. As for that Sneznayan Harbinger… we've merely followed the Court's protocols. If we did indeed convict him of crimes he did not commit, we'll most certainly compensate him to the fullest extent allowed by the law.”
For a transient eternity, all that echoed throughout the garden of the Chief Justice were the chirping of birds. Your mind carefully assesses the words from moments ago, searching for even a modicum of dishonesty.
You watch the Iudex's unfettered gaze, at last giving a glimpse of the tumults raging beneath the pretentious still surface. You can hear the swelling of waves again, albeit not for the purpose to engulf but, with the determination to protect.
You'd recognize that look on Neuvillette's face even in your (unlikely) deathbed, the causation of your bafflement though is that, this is the first time you've seen it appear in correlation to something other than yourself.
Your right hand idly smoothes your garbs and your left grips the wooden handle of your seat, you find both of your palms drenched in sweat upon contact.
“You’ve gone soft, ______”
You blankly admit in your semi-dazed state and it's Neuvillette's turn to take a deep breath. It's been a while since you've spoken that name aloud, the one that is only permitted to be uttered by you in private ambiances such as this and which serves as the origin for this clandestine marriage.
For some reason you cannot quite comprehend — especially since your husband does not seem to suffer from it — your memory enjoys having a love-hate relationship with you. From what you recall at this instance, the last time you called the Iudex by his true name was when he gifted you this garden. Its utterance is so rare that even the bearer is rendered speechless each time.
Neuvillette copies your previous antics and pastes it onto the current situation with a prolonged look-over of your person, “Your apparel today suits you most exquisitely, mon trésor.”
You answer with a gracious eye-roll, “Don’t change the subject.”
The Chief Justice of Fontaine straightens his posture with a somewhat bashful chuckle, the afternoon sun's soft hues make the ivory strands of his hair sparkle. “Apologies, I've been meaning to compliment your appearance, not that it is ever short of radiant — I just could not find a suitable opening.”
You submit to the urge to slouch ever so slightly with a sigh, “You don't have to apologize for every little thing, you know?”
“Apologi—” Neuvillette corrects himself with a cough concealed by his fist, you watch with intrigue as soft coral dusts his pale cheeks.
“As for your ‘question’, I will admit that throughout my coexistence with humans as Fontaine's Iudex, I've come to appreciate their ideals, characteristics and interpersonal relationships. In a way, I've understood myself to a great extent through observing them. Just as you wished I would.”
You furrow your brows in genuine confusion, “What do you mean?”
Your husband seems to steel himself for something, hands intertwined atop the oak table and eyes drained from his earlier playful light all too quickly. “You’ve always wished to become human. To view this world through the eyes of a mortal, to be able to have a taste of their myriad and complex relationships and... to die alongside someone you truly love.”
Somewhere in the crevices of your archaic mind, there's a vacuum hidden beneath the symphony of sea waves. Unchanging, uncharted and unperturbed by your attempts to identify what used to occupy that space.
Neuvillette's cryptic admission creates a crack on what you assumed to be an empty spot occupied by white noise, the cleft dents your memories and spreads, a raucous scream threatens to rupture your eardrums.
“Are you, perhaps,” your fingers clasp onto the silk of your garb, “insinuating that you've granted me my ‘wish’?”
If you had gathered the strength to look up, you would've been blessed with the sight of the Iudex thrown off-guard. But the lapse in composure is short lived, “Of course.”
Something about his easy confirmation annihilates your decorum and replaces it with a rage of unknown origin, “So you think imprisoning me has made me happy? That it's made me feel human? That your kindness and preachings of justice have bewitched me so much that I've considered you as a lover for even a second? No, no and no! I have never and will never stop hating you, ______!”
But why do you hate him? Your thoughts echo back to you ; he's ensured you never have to ask for a meal, he's clothed you, he's provided a solid roof above your head and he's given you his heart — or at least that's what he says.
For not once does a memory that he's mistreated you arise in your head but, what does bubble in your heart is an inexplicable hatred. A hatred so grave that it motivates you to not surrender to this unfair trial, contemptuous waves swell, rise to heights unseen, crash down—
“Do not forget that abandoned property belongs to whoever finds it first.”
And drag everything to the ocean's dark depths.
A jolt shakes your whole body, your eyes rise to meet the tempest in disbelief and suddenly, the dam shatters. Now you can see the serpent leering behind the charming flower, an unrestricted view of what the fair and ideal Iudex is inside those glimmering garbs of honor — a dragon with manicured claws and perfumed scales, seated to a chair of judgement yet, forever guilty of a sin he refuses to purge.
Only you remember that Neuvillette wasn't always like this ; in days not noted down in history he'd been an enigma, unsure of the significance of his existence, burning with contempt for the so-called Usurpers and sometimes cruel. But at least, he wasn't a hypocrite.
He'd dug his talons deep into your heart and skin and engraved his name within your soul, he'd defiled the waters that construct your being with hatred and malice but at least, he hadn't refused to acknowledge that it was him who shackled you to this godforsaken nation, separated from the rest of your kin.
Neuvillette takes a deep breath upon noticing your erratic trembling, the tsunami recedes. “It always ends like this,”
It does. This excuse of a trial with your freedom as the wager, born of your husband's ironic belief of justice, that you should still be given a chance to speak up against iniquity. He'll take great note of any other issues that might cause you distress, but the actual concern will never be addressed — that's how it's been for five centuries.
It is the kind of judge that Neuvillette has become in matters that concern you, finding loopholes to keep you attached to his name yet hidden from prying eyes ; all because of his principle that having a public personal relationship will bring the impartiality of the judiciary system to question.
“However, it must be done to ensure your safety.” you tense as he rises from his seat, gloved fingers trace the silk table cloth.
The grass crunches beneath his heel, “For who knows what the public's reaction would be if it was to be leaked, that the Iudex Neuvillette's spouse was the progenitor of the prophecy?”
You feel the familiar texture of Neuvillette's glove supporting your face, wiping the cascading tears that escaped without your notice. “Do you not remember, mon trésor, that you need me?”
Your vision blurs and all you see is blue, his blue or yours, your mind refuses to confirm. But what it does corroborate are Neuvillette's words, that you would not survive without his care, that you are the first who had wished to become human and that you are the first sinner.
You feel his touch more firmly this time, it's not warm like all the other times ; but soothing and sedating. As though, a cavity within your soul was given meaning and a portion of your memories hidden away. Your eyes are defeated against the temptation of slumber, but before the darkness engulfs you, you vividly hear the rumbling of an ensuing storm, the first of many tears of the sky hitting your skin.
“I suppose this must be my punishment. But, I would rather prefer being the recipient of your scorn and contempt than to not have you at all.”
But why go through such lengths? Neuvillette's conscience asks as he takes your limp body in his arms, the sound of heavy rain follows his footsteps back towards your shared ‘home’.
To this, he consoles himself : the words unspoken are the flower.

Yandere!Neuvillette Bit
Tumblr media
Warning: this post contains yandere-themes, including being chained in a room, being held against will, delusional behaviors, and other potential topics. Please read at your own risk!
Yandere!Neuvillette who regardless of what time it is, the first thing he does everyday when he comes home is to go see you. He keeps you chained in a special room, with plenty of books and games to play, silly little human things for you to busy yourself with. Sometimes he comes home just before dinner and other times it’s well into the middle of the night, but everytime without fail he goes to see you first. Whether you’re asleep or awake he’ll sweep you up into his arms, unlocking the cuff around your ankle and allowing it to clatter onto the floor. He simply sits and holds you for a few moments, holding your head close to his head as he hums an old tune, long forgotten by today’s generations. Occasionally he talks about his day, though the details are always vague and are far between as he cannot discuss cases outside the courtroom. It’s his way of destressing after a long day’s work, holding onto his beloved as he let’s his mind settle on one thing, you.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were away on a business trip to Fontaine, overseeing the expansion of your business into the region, leaving your significant other back in Liyue. This marked the first extended separation for both of you.
As the days stretched into weeks, Zhongli found himself wrestling with unfamiliar emotions, the absence of your presence gnawing at him like an unrelenting hunger. Each morning became a battle against solitude, with the memory of your loving kisses at the start of the day serving as a constant reminder of your absence.
Lying on your side of the shared bed, mentally preparing himself for yet another day without his love by his side. He buried his nose into your pillow, unable to muster the heart to change the sheets. A lingering hint of your scent still clung to them, offering a faint reminder of you.
Once he deemed his morning ritual complete, Zhongli moved to ready himself for the day ahead. However, when it came to selecting his attire, he found his own wardrobe lacking in appeal. His gaze wandered to your side of the closet, “I’m sure Y/n wouldn’t object…”
Dressing in your crisp white shirt brought solace, as your scent enveloped him. He should’ve done this earlier, your scent lingered on your clothes, not too much but enough to make him be reminded of you just like the pillows.
Zhongli stood by the window, watching as the early rays of sunlight danced across the Liyue skyline. As he gingerly held the cup in his hands, marvelling at the intricate patterns adorning its surface. This particular set had been lovingly crafted and gifted by you to commemorate your fifth anniversary, he found comfort in your delicate craftsmanship, a testament to your talent admired across nations.
The demand for your team’s products surged in Fontaine, preparations for a new store were underway, drawing you to the region. While Zhongli brimmed with pride over your achievements, yet a tinge of melancholy gnaws at him due to the prolonged separation from you, accentuating the bittersweet nature of your success.
His thoughts wandered into a darker place. Image of you in Fontaine, surrounded by strangers and perhaps, other admirers. The mere thought twisted his stomach into knots, igniting a fire of jealousy deep within.
Zhongli’s eyes roamed, unable to ignore the lingering traces of your presence-subtle reminders of the life both you shared. The empty space echoed with memories of shared laughter and more…intimate moments, now replaced by a haunting silence that seemed to mock his solitude. His nails elongated into claws, digging into the table as frustration and longing intertwined within him.
In the depths of his heart, Zhongli acknowledged that his jealousy was irrational, stemming from fear and insecurity rather than any tangible evidence of wrongdoing. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t silence the voice of doubt that whispered poison into his ear, clouding his thoughts and judgements.
And so, the days turned into weeks and the distance between you grew daunting, Zhongli found himself trapped in a prison of his own making, his heart consumed by the flames of jealousy that threatened to consume him whole.
However, amidst the growing anticipation of your return, Zhongli’s heart leapt at the sound of your voice echoing through the halls of your shared home. “Zhongli~, I’m home,” you called out, your presence immediately illuminating the space. He perked up, turning to behold you standing in the doorway, your smile as radiant as ever, almost banishing all negative thoughts in his head. Setting down the bags you were holding, you stretched out your arms, offering a warm embrace.
Zhongli did not hesitate to leap into your arms. Hand resting on your shoulder, he buried his face in the crook of your neck, his breath warm against your skin. He took a hearty inhale of your scent fully expecting to bask in you for a bit. However, amidst the warmth of your embrace he caught a lingering scent of an unfamiliar dragon.
He pulled away your hands still wrapped around his body. “Who were you with?” His voice carried a low growl.
“Ah, it's quite a story actually…the Chief Justice of Fontaine, sir Neuvillette saw me off.” You did not question why he was asking, too focused on holding him as close as possible at the moment.
Zhongli’s gaze intensified as he caught another whiff of this Neuvillette person. His hands curled in anger, nails digging into your back.
“You’re lying,” His voice still low and dangerous, his eyes fixed on you.
“Hm? No?” you countered, meeting his gaze steadily. “Sir Neuvillette merely bid me farewell on my way out.”
Zhongli leaned closer, his breath heavy against your skin, his eyes a blaze with jealousy, his disapproval of the Chief Justice becoming increasingly apparent.
“Was it a quick farewell?” He inquired, his voice laden with tension.
“It was brief and cordial,” you said in a steady tone, mind connecting the pieces together. He’s clearly jealous. You pulled away, your smirk betraying your amusement as you caressed his cheek gently.
The touch caused Zhongli’s breath to hitch, his body tensing momentarily. The scent of another man lingered on your clothes, fueling his suspicions despite your reassurance.
“Jealousy looks good on you my love,” you chuckled. Your playful words only served to deepen the ache of his burning jealousy, leaving him torn between desire and doubt.
His grip loosens and instead of anger an annoyed expression etched on his face. “You find me attractive when I’m jealous?” His jaw remained clenching, brows furrowed.
Leaning in, you whispered into his ear, “Absolutely divine, my love,” a playful tease dancing on your lips.
Zhongli questioned himself: Was his jealousy warranted? As he observed your nonchalant demeanour, every sign seemed to point to your truthfulness. Yet, a darker thought crossed his mind-what if he simply took you, tied you up, and never allowed you to leave the house again? All that you offered to the world would then be solely his…
It wasn’t such a terrible thought…He is a deity, he possessed the power to do it, and no one could stop him. Yet, he realised that such an act would inevitably alter the way his lover would look at him. And that, he couldn’t bear the thought of it.
“Love? What are you thinking?” Oh right Zhongli was still wrapped in your arms.
“I’m thinking of tying you up.” To his bafflement you burst out laughing.
“Zhongli, my love, you always have the most dramatic ideas.” You look surely amused but Zhongli is surely debating whether he should go through with it or not.
You both dropped the subject but Zhongli kept this thought in the back of his head just in case…

⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
Welcome to my 100 Follower Special, The Starlight Pawnshop! For a brief period of time, I'll be holding a special sale on ten items. Each item corresponds to a oneshot about a certain Honkai Star Rail or Genshin character; through the item's description, you may receive some hints as to which character and what themes will be present in that oneshot.
⋆⁺₊⋆ ☾⋆⁺₊⋆
Rules for Purchasing
Please leave a request through my ask box mentioning the Starlight Pawnshop, as well as which item you would like to purchase.
You cannot request to purchase an item if you are asking anonymously, as this sale only allows for one purchase per person. To prevent any such incidents, please make sure the "Ask anonymously" option is off.
Only the first five orders will be taken. After the fifth order, all the other items will not be for sale and cannot be purchased.
After making a purchase, please wait five to seven days for your item to ship.
All oneshots will contain yandere themes, so please keep that in mind.
For Sale Items
Aquamarine Ring: A dazzling aquamarine ring enchanted with the power of the seas. The silver band has tarnished from the previous wearer's sins, though they were brought to justice and cleansed through rehabilitation.
Dragon's Scales: A small pile of sepia-colored scales that hold the power of the earth. Rare and valuable, the dragon they came from was hidden away from the world by a god for eons to protect them from hunters and other dangers.
Flowers From Another Era: Four flowers, tied in a bouquet by a scarlet ribbon. Between the lavender and violet petals lies tainted knowledge that destroyed a fruitful love between gods on a distant planet eons ago.
Grass Ring: A small, shoddily-woven ring made from dead grass, containing echoes of childhood promises uttered in a land of frost. Maybe the ring’s maker, after disappearing from the world for three months before returning, acted on those vows.
Painted Teacup: A small teacup with floral designs hand-painted by an artist. A jagged crack runs down its side, severing the stem of a crimson carnation.
Wanted Posters: Two wanted posters for the same criminal. The two people who were tracking this target crossed paths, and in doing so drastically altered each of their fates in radically different ways.
Purchased Items
Avian Necklace: A silver necklace with a pendant in the shape of a bird mid-flight, imbued with a strange energy strong enough to shackle its wearer in paradise forever.
Chess Pawn: A finely-carved chess pawn. If life is a chessboard, then so too are people pawns in other's games. Based on this pawn’s pristine condition, whoever controlled it loved it quite dearly.
Double-Sided Coin: A coin where both sides show the same pattern, allowing its desperate holder to not need to rely on luck to win this bet and secure their prize.
Fool's Mask: A red and white mask with an eerie smile. When the clock strikes twelve, its wearer shall don it and dance with his love for their affection.
Grass Ring: A small, shoddily-woven ring made from dead grass, containing echoes of childhood promises uttered in a land of frost. Maybe the ring’s maker, after disappearing from the world for three months before returning, acted on those vows.

The Chief Justice and the Worst Painter in Fontaine Chapter 1: The Beginning
Pairing: Neuvillette x Gender Neutral Reader Summary: It was supposed to be your time to relax and get in touch with your (extremely) buried creative side...but then your boss showed up. A/N: hey guys here's my new fic. it's something different this time since i want to explore new things (and i need to cook on my other yandere ideas a little more) Masterpost here
You can read the fic on AO3 as well
Chapter 1 || Chapter 2 || Chapter 3 (Bonus Scenes) || Chapter 4
tw: none except the author's attempts at humor
Your first-ever painting session was going wonderfully.
The sky was a deep blue without a cloud in the sky, and the winds were calm. The only sounds you could hear around you on the shores of the Great Terrestrial Lake were bird cries and the mechanical footsteps of the Meks patrolling the roads. You were far away from the hustle and bustle of the Court of Fontaine, which was just what you wanted.
The bright white canvas in front of you seemed to be brimming with possibilities, waiting for you to put your brush to it and create something beautiful…you hoped.
“Ah,” you sighed. “I don’t get why more people don’t do this.”
“I concur,” a voice said from next to you. It sounded vaguely familiar. “It’s unfortunate that the beauty of Fontaine’s waters is underappreciated even by the citizens.”
“Right?” you said excitedly as you turned your head to beam up at this newfound kindred spirit. “But I suppose it’s all for the best, considering that—”
The rest of your sentence got stuck in your throat. Because your eyes landed on the last person you had ever expected to see.
The long white hair with blue streaks (or were they horns, as you’ve heard rumored?), the elegant and flowing blue robes, the piercing violet eyes…you might not have ever seen him up close before, but everyone in Fontaine knew who this man was.
The Chief Justice of Fontaine, the Iudex—Monsieur Neuvillette himself.
That’s right. Your boss was standing right next to you as you were supposed to be enjoying your relaxing day off.
Tumblr media
You were a low-level bureaucrat working at the Maison Gestion. Your days were confined to your small desk and typewriter, sitting in your chair as you typed up document after document, reading memos, and then re-typed what you just wrote.
It wasn’t a bad job, all things considered. You liked your coworkers, and it was fun to complain about your workloads together. It paid well enough too. However, your work-life balance was terrible. You got home late even without doing overtime at the office, and spent your days off sleeping in. Not to mention the disturbing cracks your back made whenever you straightened yourself up…
After seeing one too many of your coworkers sleeping at their desks overnight in order to make a deadline, you decided that there needed to be a change. You were going to get a hobby completely unrelated to work and enjoy your life!
The problem with spending so much of your time at work was that it was difficult to find out what you actually enjoyed doing in leisure. You barely even remembered what your interests were before you started working. It was a depressing realization…but at least now you had the money and maturity to find new interests.
You briefly considered doing a physical activity like rowing or diving, but quickly decided against it. You were a desk worker and had the physique of one as well. But on the other hand, you didn’t want to do something where you were indoors and stationary all the time. That would be no different from your time at work.
After trying out several activities, you finally decided on painting. Painting would allow you to leave the city and spend time in nature. You could sit but also wander around as you pleased. And you could create something of your own instead of being confined by other people’s rules. Yes, painting was the perfect hobby to pick up.
With that brilliant idea in mind, you happily bought painting supplies and set out for Fontaine’s beaches on the weekend. You were looking forward to a day of relaxation and artistic joy.
But now…
“M-Monsieur Neuvillette!” you stammered, jumping out of your chair and nearly knocking it over. “I-I-I had no idea you were here! Please forgive me for not noticing you!”
You were suddenly extremely aware of your appearance. Since it was your day off and you weren’t expecting to be around anyone else, you were dressed in well-worn clothes (read: frayed and faded), and your hair was matted with sweat after carrying your heavy painting tools all the way out here.
“There is no need for you to apologize,” Neuvillette said. His calm demeanor was completely at odds with your panicking self. “I should be the one apologizing for startling you. I was simply happy to see someone else enjoying one of my favorite spots to watch the sea.”
“Oh, no, not at all! You shouldn’t apologize! I’m the one who—” This isn’t going anywhere, the rational part of your mind screamed.
Driven by the survival instinct of saving yourself from dying of embarrassment, you quickly gathered your painting supplies in your arms and stood up. They seemed a lot more unwieldy than before. “I’m sorry, Monsieur. I didn’t know you frequented this spot. I will move myself somewhere else so as to not disturb you.”
“There’s no need for you to inconvenience yourself in that way,” a furrow formed between Neuvillette’s brows. “You will no way disturb you. I’m perfectly fine with you staying here. In fact, I would welcome your company.”
“Oh, no no! I wouldn’t be good company for you at all, Monsieur! I'm terrible at talking and am not interesting in any way! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I shall leave you be!” You blabbered on as you backed away as fast as you could. A shadow passed overhead. You looked up and saw clouds. Where did those come from?
You had made it some distance away, cursing yourself in your head all the while, before you heard the rumble of thunder. The sky was now covered in clouds, and it looked as though it was going to rain at any minute. That was weird. The weather forecast said that it would be sunny today, and there wasn’t a trial today, so you had assumed that it would be clear skies today. As the first drops of rain hit your face, you suddenly remembered something: you forgot to take your chair.
You would rather jump into the sea than go back there, especially after how you acted. But on the other hand, wouldn’t leaving my chair there make me look like a careless slob? What if Monsieur Neuvillette thinks that and decides that I’m not fit for my job? And then I’ll get fired and get thrown out onto the streets and then no one would ever hire me again and—
More rain fell, shaking you out of your panicked thoughts. You took a deep breath and calmed yourself down. You were a grown adult who was capable of behaving in a normal, mature manner. You would simply walk over there, politely greet Neuvillette, get your chair, and then calmly take your leave. Simple.
Repeating those steps in your head, you ran back to the spot (because the rain was really coming down now) and to your surprise, found Neuvillette still standing there. He didn’t seem to have moved from where he was when you last saw him. The rain was soaking into his hair and clothes.
The sight made you feel a bit lonely.
You steeled yourself and walked up to him. The chair was still there. You resisted the urge to grab it and run away, and then cleared your throat.
“Excuse me, Monsieur Neuvillette…”
He turned around with a start. For some reason, the rain lightened up a bit at that moment. “Oh, you’ve returned. I thought you were going to move somewhere else to paint?”
His voice was as emotionless as his face, but you thought you could detect a bit of hurt in it. It must have been just your overactive imagination.
“I was just…” the words got caught in your throat. Somehow, it felt wrong to tell him that you only returned to get your chair. But surely he’d understand, right?
The defiant part of your mind chose that moment to make its appearance. Why are you acting like a scared mouse? You were here first, and you had no idea that this is his favorite spot. This place is big enough for the two of you.
“Pardon me,” Neuvillette’s voice snapped you back to reality. “But I believe you were about to say something?”
“Oh…oh, yes. I was just going to say…” you forced a smile on your face. You must look ridiculous right now. “I was just going to say, I decided to come back here because, well, if the Chief Justice says that this is his favorite spot, then it must be scenery worthy of even someone like me to paint.”
Neuvillette’s face still didn’t change, but it seemed to soften almost imperceptibly. The rain stopped completely now.
“I’m honored to receive such a compliment, though undeserved,” he said. “I do look forward to your work.”
You nodded, even as you were thinking, Crap! He’s going to be looking at my painting!?
With shaking arms, you set up your easel and canvas, which had miraculously remained mostly dry. The chair, on the other hand, was soaked, so you had to stand and paint. You moved the setup several times to make sure it wasn’t getting into Neuvillette’s line of sight before dipping your brush into a pot of paint.
The clouds were all gone now, like they were never there.
Tumblr media
Though you technically answered to Neuvillette as an employee of the Maison Gestion, you had never actually talked to him or even seen him up close before. Your desk was on a separate level from his office, and he was always busy, so even the higher-ups rarely saw him. You had seen him sitting in his high seat during trials at the Opera Epiclese, but that was about it.
So, this was your first time being in such close proximity to him.
The sun felt like a laser, or maybe a spotlight, beaming down on your head. The gentle breeze ruffled your hair but did nothing to dry your sweaty hands that were gripping your equally sweaty paintbrush. You could hear your heartbeat in your ears.
Yes, you were definitely feeling very relaxed right now.
You sneak a glance at Neuvillette. He was gazing out at the blue waters. He hadn’t attempted to watch you paint even once. If you hadn’t known any better, you would have thought he was a statue. It was warmer now than before. Doesn’t he feel hot in those robes? You thought.
The painting was nearly done. It was, in your opinion…definitely a canvas with paint on it. You had tried to capture the shimmer of the waves and their unknowable depths, but you hadn’t come close. It felt almost shameful, considering the view here really was beautiful. You could see why Neuvillette liked this place.
You wouldn’t have cared at all about the quality of your work if it hadn’t been for him, since this was supposed to be a way for you to unwind. Resentment bubbled up within you, but you quashed it down. There was no turning back time now. You comforted yourself by vowing to completely avoid him at all costs after this. It wouldn’t be that hard to do.
After you put the finishing touches, you stepped back. The painting was not hanging on the gallery walls anytime soon, but it was done. You turned to Neuvillette.
“Um, Monsieur Neuvillette. It’s finished.”
He turned and looked at your painting. His violet eyes scanned it carefully from top to bottom, like it was a piece of fine art hanging in the museum. You shifted your feet nervously. It felt like you were being judged. Was he going to fire you if you didn’t meet his standards? That was an absurd thought.
After what seemed like an eternity, he turned to you. “The way you captured the light on the water is quite inspired, [Name]. I can see that the meticulous and detail-oriented mind in your work is also present here.”
You blinked. Three thoughts rushed through your mind at once.
He liked your painting.
He knew your name.
He knew your work.
A light, airy feeling filled your chest. It felt like you were floating. Maybe you were actually watching this from above your body, considering how surreal this felt.
“T-Thank you, Monsieur Neuvillette,” you managed. “I-I, just really love the sea. It’s so, um, cool.”
Neuvillette nodded solemnly. “I can tell that. If you would like, I can show you other scenic views of the sea that might inspire you further.”
“Great!” you exclaim before you knew what you were doing. “I’d love that.”
Maybe it was just a trick of the light, but you could have sworn Neuvillette’s lips curved into a smile. “Then it’s settled. Next week, I will send you a note with directions to another one of those spots.”
You nodded, even as if you were thinking, Next week?
And so, your artistic journey with the Chief Justice began.

Introductory post.
Tumblr media
hello, please call me moon, or moonsaver.
I now have a blog on AO3 – my user is Moonsaving.
As my name suggests, I like the moon. But to be honest, I like the sun more, which is why my blog is more gold and black themed, haha.
I use she/her pronouns, and am cis-female. I am an INFP, 4w5 and phlegmatic. My favorite food is ice cream. My favorite color is bottleneck green. I write, but also sometimes draw. I like reading about different "human" species [Neanderthals specifically]. And also any character analysis. My favorite animal is a Manta-ray. My favorite artist is Mitski. I tend to like characters that are INTJ or ISTJ. Of course, some exceptions apply.
my favorite characters :
- genshin - dainsleif, neuvillette, zhongli, alhaitham, thoma, ningguang, candace, dehya
- honkai - stelle, welt, jing yuan, sunday, dr ratio
Fandoms i write for, so far:
- Genshin Impact [excluding the natlan characters]
- Honkai Star Rail
- [Maybe] Twisted Wonderland
Trigger/Content warnings + other cautions;
None of the characters i write for, are owned by me and neither do i claim any ownership over them. All of my works are simply fiction.
Life should not imitate art – I do not condone the acts of violence, stalking, or any toxic behaviors involved in my writing in real life. It is all completely fiction. If you or someone you know exhibits similar behaviors, do not enable it and reach out for help. It is not normal outside of fiction.
On that note – I mainly write yanderes. Writing that contain yanderes may include stalking, violence, suggested noncon or dubcon, etc.. please be mindful while scrolling through my blog. Feel free to block me if my works disturb you.
Do not repost my writing anywhere without my permission. The characters and the setting does not belong to me, but the fanfiction does. Please do not post these works anywhere, nor use them as data to feed AI. If you might recognize my writing somewhere, please inform me immediately.

No nsfw. Suggestive is fine.

child reader and child characters can only have platonic requests. No yandere can be requested for these.
Incest, step-cest and age gaps are not allowed here. I know, what a surprise Im picky about it, right? But I have my limits even while writing yandere stuff.
I mainly write gender neutral and fem reader. Please specify, or i may assume it myself.
I will write how i please if not specified. Hcs, scenarios, drabbles, imagines.. anything is welcome.
On that note, i do not necessarily do matchups. Im just not good at that. I can not tell you which character would have what preferences on will, unless i already have a good grasp of the character and know the context specifically. I can not offer opinions on what a character might like or dislike in a person, what they might see platonically or romantically in a person. I simply write as I feel.
i take time. Im just lazy.
