Adulting: What did everyone do after the curse broke?

So, I have a LOT of headcanons as to what the different characters did after the curse broke. We do get several answers in Another, but for the answers we don't get, here's what I think happened!

Tohru: I don't think the specific nature of her job would be terribly important to her, so much as just entering into the workforce. From her outfit in the Prelude epilogue, it seems like she's not doing manual labor (like cleaning, which was what I initially thought she'd be doing, since she had experience). I wonder if she's an employee at a school; her colleague kind of looks like an elementary or middle school teacher to me. I don't think Tohru would be able to teach without further education, and she was very clear that she did not want to pursue further study. I'm not sure if Japan has classified staff/paraprofessionals or an equivalent, but I think she'd be amazing at that job. I also think she probably became a stay-at-home parent as soon as she and Kyo had the means for her to do so.

Kyo: we know he became a karate instructor, and I just bet he's a fabulous teacher. I think him eventually taking over the Sohma dojo would be a full circle moment for both him and the Sohma family.

Saki: I can honestly see a lot of different jobs for her. Some favorites that I've seen in fanfic are art gallery employee, ghost hunter, and food critic. I have her becoming a hairstylist in Bloom Within Us, after attending beauty school through correspondence. Her clients ADORE her and she uses her wave-reading to make sure they're satisfied and tell them anything they really need to hear. It's common for appointments to end with her clients crying and hugging her because she's just healed some childhood wound of theirs. I could also see her becoming a ritual mortician, preparing the departed for their funeral (which would include hair, makeup, etc...) I think she'd be really good at working with grieving families and getting the deceased to look just right.

Arisa: she worked to put herself through junior college after she moved in with Kureno (though they had the money, she insisted on doing it for herself), and became a nurse in elder care. She makes friends with the crankiest old folks and cries like a baby when one of them dies.

Yuki: I shared in my Yuki headcanons post that I see Yuki going into politics and eventually working in international relations. I see him wanting to see the world far outside of the Sohma estate.

Machi: I always pictured her becoming an accountant.

Kakeru: we know he goes to college, and that he wants to help Komaki's family with their business, so I always assumed he'd major in something that would help with that. Maybe business management?

Momiji: we know he went on to take over his father's corporation. In my Momiji headcanons post, I shared that I see him going to university in Germany, and getting his MBA (or the equivalent). I think he'd need to know this before beginning his third year, so I suspect his father sat him down at some point during his second year to bring up the possibility of taking over his business, and told Momiji of his intent to "adopt" him so he could officially be part of their family again without raising his mother's suspicions (in Japan, it's common for CEOs to adopt their successors). I think this is what would've led Momiji to pursue business instead of music. I do think music is probably still a huge part of his life; I suspect he still plays violin casually, and he probably has a season subscription to orchestras in both Tokyo and Berlin (or wherever the German branch of his father's company is).

Kagura: she studied childcare, and I actually think that's a spectacular fit for her. When she's not being a total yandere over Kyo, she's a very nurturing and big-sisterly character.

Rin: so, I think Rin would continue to have major health problems for the rest of her life, and would probably struggle to find work that accommodates her needs and doesn't trigger any of her stress-related symptoms. I think she'd have short stints in a few jobs, like maybe retail, or modeling, or something artistic or design-y, but eventually I could see her just taking commissions for her own artwork when she feels like it. She seems like someone who wants very badly to contribute, and I think it would take a lot for her to accept that her body won't let her work full-time or on someone else's schedule, but Haru (and all her friends) would gently encourage her to take better care of herself, and at some point I think she'd accept that working for someone else just isn't sustainable for her long-term. (Though, pregnancy would also be extremely risky for her, and I'm surprised they had kids, let alone TWINS.)

Haru: I love that he does metalwork and makes most of his own accessories, so I always imagine him continuing that. I could also see him picking up odd jobs (like dog-walking? why does that seem like something he'd do?) from time to time. I think an independent, artisan-type job would suit him best.

Kisa and Hiro: most of the fandom seems to have Kisa becoming a teacher and Hiro becoming a lawyer, and those are absolutely perfect jobs for them.

Ritsu and Mitsuru: I like to imagine that Ritsu goes to work for Ayame, specializing in styling traditional clothing. This is how Ritsu comes back around to wearing whatever tf he wants, which ends up being a mix of "women's" kimonos and more flamboyant menswear (like his idol, Ayame). He and Mitsuru do eventually get married, and Mitsuru's the one who ends up running the onsen, because that girl deserves to relax!!!

Ayame, Mine, Shigure, Akito, Hatori, and Mayu: we mostly know what these characters do as of Another, and I don't have a ton to add except for Mayu (see below).

Megumi: Since we know Megumi becomes a teacher at Kaibara, I also headcanon that Mayu's still a much-loved teacher at Kaibara in Another, and that she and Megumi are work besties who like to mess with Makoto Takei when he's being especially obnoxious. I also headcanon that Mayu eventually introduces him to his future wife, since we know he likes older women.

Kureno: I imagine he'd become someone else's assistant; even better if he can work from home.

Yusuke and Hiroshi: In Bloom Within Us, Yusuke helps his dad run a grocery they own, and Hiroshi becomes a doctor (GP). I think, if I were only going off canon and not the elaborate backstories I created for them, I could imagine Hiroshi being someone who emcees events (almost a la Ryan Seacrest? but on a much smaller scale) and Yusuke I could see working at a University as like, a freshman advisor or residence life director. Basically someone who makes sure everyone's adjusting well to the campus and who people can go to with questions. I could actually see both of them doing this.

Kimi and Nao: side note, I kind of ship these two? But anyway, I can see Nao becoming a very stressed out CEO or (more likely) director of a non-profit, and I can totally see Kimi as someone whose job it is to secure donations for that non-profit, which she absolutely does by flirting with prospective donors. They'd be almost frighteningly effective when working together...

Before you started dating he'd definitely took any object of yours he could get his hands on, mainly pencils and other school supplies or maybe some pins and keychains that fell from the bag you carry to work, either way he'd keep them all on one spot on his bedside table to wake up to every night and remember you by. Momiji is rather casual with the smothering amount of adoration he has for you, spreading it out over the day within small affections such as playing with your hair or holding your hand. Be warned if you ever spend more than a few hours without him by your side you'll have to make it all up, which means a very cuddly nap together.

What if the the weapons possessed the people who killed the heroes just so they can be summoned? Unless it wasn't needed, of course.

by "Possessed" i mean influenced. i don't think the weapon spirits can control people :0. like intrusive thoughts i guess, you find yourself doing something dangerous unconsciously even though you know better? or maybe instinct that has a voice. Brainwashing, perhaps? idk but they cause it.

The bow, sword, and spear suck at keeping they're 1st choice heroes alive, so they need their 3rd choices die before summoning so they wont die as heroes later. But if they weren't going to die already, the spirit would have to step in and make them die, by influencing or directly causing they're deaths. I doubt that ALL of their choices they want are going to die right when it's needed, i can understand coincidence, but if they went for their options that were dying right when they need it, some of the heroes would be Truly AWFUL people. and the weapons don't want that.

I can understand Itsuki's death being an accident, trucks and large vehicles are VERY hard to stop, so the bow's spirit wouldn't need to intervene for him. One of the coincidences; He was going to die there regardless. Maybe the driver was unconsciously speeding because of the bow, or it fucked with the trucks breaks. that’s a big maybe tho, it was one of those freak accident kinda things. oof :(

Motoyasu's a little different. Momiji and Ikuyo were always obsessive(violently in Momiji's case), But the spear's spirit pushed them to lashing out and killing him. Kinda wormed its way into the women's minds and setting them off. Less so Momiji, from what i can remember she's the most "yandere" and violent, and the one who committed the double homicide, so i don't think she needed too much influence.

Ren is what got me thinking about this!!! I think the sword spirit directly caused his murderer to kill him, and actually wasn't aiming to kill him specifically! Killers that have a pattern when it comes to their victims stick to that pattern; His murder was know for violently killing women, i don't see why that person would be interested in killing two high school boys. The murderer was clearly trying to kill his Friend, too, and Ren stepped in to stop it, so the spirit likely wanted the friend. the sword spirit isn't picky though, Ren fits the requirements and was close(emotionally and literally XD) to who he wanted, he's good enough.

For the truck driver there was no influence whatsoever. For Momiji and Ikuyo it was a violent voice in their head that convinced them to do it, but it was their choice all along. But for the Murderer, It was a voice in the head that they had to listen too, so loud and forceful and instinctual that he Couldn't Not do as it said. He got caught tho :)

The weapons wont feel bad either, their morals are a little skewed; the world needs heroes after all. If they need to kill, then they will. All of the weapon spirits(excluding the shield, of course!) have caused the death of their desired hero at least once.

Some things you should know:

I write for what i’m obsessed with at the moment, so new things could be added anytime.

I’ll still be doing x reader, head cannons, and one shots!!

I’m open to doing any genres such as hurt/comfort, fluff, or angst. You name it!!

I’m also open to writing smut/NSFW now. I haven’t attempted it, but i’m down to try! If you request it i’ll try my best to write it well :)) just know it won’t be perfect

Some things I won’t do:

I won’t be writing anything inappropriate such as incest, pedophilia, rape, etc.

Yandere is something that I don’t think my writing style fits either so I won’t be doing it.

I won’t be writing for ships that make absolutely no sense. The two people have to have some sort of obvious romantic attraction to each other if you want me to write them.

For Attack on Titan:

✥ YOU GOT A LETTER FROM YOUR SECRET PEN PAL!!!

"Are y-you sure you didn't make this letter up?" Beidou asked, clutching the paper you handed out to her. The normally confident captain looked pale as her eyes trailed to read the passages repeatedly. You can only nod in sheer reluctance and stand like a good child waiting for a scolding.

"Yes, which is why I wanted to meet the Inazuman man you have boarding your ship..."

Beidou waved the letter in the air.

"KAZUHA! YOU MIGHT WANNA READ THIS, KID!!!"

Kazuha leaped down, landing with his anemo vision as support. Familiar maple leaves surrounded his fall— leaves you had seen attached to Widower Momiji's letters. You strike him as the man you were looking for, and knowing how Widower Momiji did not lack friends from well-raised circles, this "Kazuha" must be a fine gentleman as well.

"What's wrong, Beidou?"

She shoved the letter against his chest.

"Does this handwriting look familiar to you?"

Kazuha didn't even see the letter before he jolted and stilled.

"There's a familiar scent mixed in these pen strokes, a scent that should no longer exist..."

The man whom you assumed to be a wandering samurai unfolded the parchment, vaguely skimming through the contents. Despite how almost slapdash he read the letter, he craved the tenderness of your pen pal's handwriting. Some loops he traces with his thumb, while some he was too afraid to smudge. 

"It's been years since I last exchanged epistles with him," Kazuha spoke with no rancor or jealousy whatsoever. "

You could only blink. It appears you'd be dealing with constant flowery honesty should you also befriend him, but you don't seem to mind it. 

"So, do you think it's him?"

"There is no doubt about it," Kazuha answered his captain. "But that doesn't mean his way of communication isn't limited. If anything, this might just be Lady Guuji's way of rewarding him for his past heroics."

You grabbed the letter the samurai reluctantly returned, "huh? Forgive me for asking, but is my secret pen pal some sort of criminal or a government official? Because based on how you talk about him, he comes off as someone significant."

Beidou smiled awkwardly.

"The truth is, your pen pal is dea—"

"Is an honest man," Kazuha butted in. "Don't worry, I can vouch for him. He's the most resilient and bravest man I've met and I'm lucky to have had the privilege to call him my friend."

"Then why do I feel like you're hiding a crucial detail from me?"

Kazuha chuckled.

"Because he's your secret pen pal, and based on his current situation, he must be incredibly lonely and you're the only one he can talk to."

... A fair point. It wouldn't be right if you knew his identity while he doesn't have a sliver of an idea who you are in return.

"Don't worry about it, kid. Say, why don't ya share a drink with us? My treat, of course," Beidou proudly bumped her fist against her chest. "Oh, and by the way, this kid here is Kazuha. Kazuha, this is (Y/n)."

"Nice to meet you."

"You as well."

"Now that we've had our introductions, would I be able to partake in some sake, captain?" Kazuha teased, but his tone doesn't quite match his somber expression.

Beidou sighed.

"Just this once, I'll forget about your height and let you drink. You deserve it after reading that letter."

"Thank you, Beidou."

Kazuha turned to look at you, a gentle smile resting on his face.

"And Mx. (Y/n)? When you write a letter back, tell him that Kaedehara Kazuha received his greetings."

Backstory:so Samara's parents called him a demon his father tried to kill him and his mother killed herself and he had been forced to kill his father and he was found by seiji on the streets and seiji adopted him but of course Yui didn't like him so she would bully him and call him a crybaby when he cried and then when he stopped reacting he was called names instead of being hit because he didn't react even though he didn't react to that either.
