茶色っぽいお湯に白い細かい湯の花が浮いています。

昨年訪れた時は温めでしたが、今回はやや熱めでした。

シャワーは無く、お湯貯めから手桶ですくって体を洗い流すなど、設備的には不便ですが、お湯はとても良いです。

Okay, actually, I'm curious what you guys think here- if Yamagoshi had a first name in the third beta (Kazunori Yamakoshi), but I don't believe it's ever given in the open beta (as far as I've seen?)... should I still consider "Kazunori" as his first name?

This may go without saying, but if you vote the last one, I'd really appreciate a video link/otherwise a mention of where in the game that is/was, haha!

About Shun's father and master.

*This article was written with information up to CBT3 in January 2024. The latest version from April 2024 had a completely different scenario.

Whether the three persons, Yamakoshi, Taisho (the owner of Toraiken), and Shun's father, are the same person or not will be interpreted differently by different people. Personally, I believe they are separate persons.

Shun was previously trained at the ramen restaurant Asshouken. His mentor and the founder of Asshouken is Kazunori Yamakoshi. Yamakoshi is called "Oyassan"(親っさん:おやっさん) in Japanese and "lǎodiē"(老爹) in Chinese by Shun, the store staff, and others. These appellations are often translated in Japanese and Chinese dictionaries as just "father," but in reality they are often used for someone who is "father-like," i.e., not actually a father. I don't believe that Yamakoshi is Shun's real father, but if he is practically a foster parent, like Madarame is to Yusuke, then it can be said that he is.

Another Chinese restaurant in Zoshigaya, Toraiken, is owned by an apprentice who was trained at Asshouken. The name of the owner is unknown, but Shun calls him "Taisho"(大将:たいしょう） in Japanese and "Lǎobǎn"(老板) in Chinese. These appellation refer to the boss or the shopkeeper. This shopkeeper seems to have been physically injured by Miyazawa's harassment, and Shun is helping him.

Yamakoshi also suffered physical and mental problems as a result of Miyazawa's harassment and was unable to work, according to Shun. This is the cause of the confusion, Yamakoshi and Taisho, Asshouken and Toraiken may have been one and the same when they started drawing up the scenario. Perhaps their setting has not yet been finalized in detail. This is because in the early CBT2 PV, a background CG of the interior of ToraiKen's store was used in the scene where Asshouken appears.
