usually, i dont complain abt tiktokers, because i plainly just think that its pointless, and theyre just a bunch of new fans n shit.

but, good goddddd, i canNOT stand rock/metal fans on there, and specifically those who infantilize steven adler. like, yes, it was a sad that the most cheerful member of the band got kicked out bc of their addiction and "everybody was doing drugs too🥺🥺", and that "Stevie only did drugs to fit in with the band🥺🥺🥺"

they (i think, bc this was so long ago, ive been in this fanbase for, like, 4 years now lol) gave steven chances to get sober or at least sober enough to play, so yeah, while slash and the others were definitely intoxicated, they were still, somewhat, able to play.

and steven getting addicted was his own doing, and here me out, yes, i know that addiction is not smth ppl can control, but steven tried it THREE TIMES, he quite literally did it again and again until he got hooked😭 why would he do that😭😭 and apparently, nobody even made him do it, he did that himself bc he saw slash and izzy do it, and the first time he tried it he greened out, and that didnt deter him??😭😭

no hate if you like steven, but he is more nuanced and complicated than just "Sunshine Personified" like ffs mans got assault charges
