“You are not my first ghoul rodeo.” Alex replies easily. It goes without saying, but she won’t tell him why. Not yet. If he sticks around, maybe. “Still, helluva charitable act.” Cooper muses. Alex's brow furrows briefly in thought, she can’t figure out what tone he says it with. “Just ‘cause the civilized world ended doesn’t mean everyone’s gotta be an asshole all the time.” Alex replies, unbothered, brushing it off. She’s just happy to have someone who’ll talk back to her, instead of her usual one-sided conversations with Cash.
