I (M36) saw someone who looks like my dead wife (F26) while out with my son (M13) and my girlfriend (F40).

So, some context. I'm a single father, my wife died a few years back after she got hit by a car. We got married at 18 because she got pregnant and then I enlisted in the army. Fast forward a few years after I re-upped a few times (it's not important why), my wife abandoned me and our son. I moved to LA and met my crew and my best friend (M32). A few months into living there, I had to reach out to my wife for an application thing (it's a long story) and we ended up sleeping together. My son was so happy to see her return. Then we thought she might be pregnant again so I was planning to re-propose to her (because I love her not because of the pregnancy), so I planned this whole dinner. But at that dinner she told me she actually wanted a divorce. And that she didn't think she could be a mom to our son, let alone a new baby. Then, before we could really resolve any of that, she got hit by a car and died.

So fast forward to the present, I'm still single, I mean I have that girlfriend (F40), but I'm basically single and haven't really had any serious relationships. The three of us (my gf, my son, and I) were out the other day and I saw this woman (F38) working in a shop who looks exactly like my dead wife. I was shocked, to be honest. I just couldn't stop thinking about her and my dead wife. I remembered the last time we (me and my dead wife) had sex, it was great, I talked about how happy my son would be now that his mom was back. (I was happy too, obviously, she was my wife! And we'd just had sex, which I love, sex with my wife I mean. It was the only good sex I've ever really had, haha, I mean I did marry the first girl I slept with so what can I expect. Hey anon! (To my other anons - working on your asks rn, love y'all!) I'll explain it as simply as I can, okay?

The salary cap is, in lowest terms, the amount of money you can spend on your roster a year. (It's not exactly that, because multiyear contracts go by AAV, which is the average yearly value of the contract, and you have AHL stuff going up and down too, but to keep it simple.) For 2024-25, that number is 88m.

The Devils have 3 RFAs remaining (Foote, Daws, Mercer). If they intend to have all three players on their NHL roster next year, those players' salaries under the cap cannot be over 4.9m together, as they have 4.9m cap space left. However, Daws will likely be buried in the AHL, given the Markstrom/Allen tandem, so he shouldn't affect the cap. Foote may be sent to the AHL, but it's more likely he stays at the NHL level to start the season due to his waivers situation. Mercer will be in the NHL. So Foote + Mercer needs to come in under 4.9m AAV.

Foote shouldn't be taking more than 900k-950k, due to the injury he sustained (disk in his back) that kept him out almost all of the 2023-24 season. (He needs to be paid at least 875k annually, as per his qualifying offer.) Thus, Mercer should get a contract in the 3-4m range, likely a bridge deal for 3 years or so.

If the Devils are over the cap to start the season, they can put players on SOIR (season-opening injured reserve) and/or LTIR (long-term injured reserve), which effectively zeroes their cap hit until they're activated again. Of course, these players do actually have to be injured, though. Otherwise, they can trade players to make the cap situation work. However, this is unlikely because of what I've mentioned above - Daws shouldn't be on the NHL roster, Foote will be cheap, and Mercer shouldn't be making more than 4m on a bridge.

He's touchy, and struggles with keeping to personal space. He bundles up in layers upon layers for comfort rather than preening and dressing solely to look good.

While he's loud, and expressive, he's also very quick to hide in a corner when shit gets real scary, pls someone protecc him.

Steve should be an alpha in my own opinion because:

He has followers. People who crowd around him just to bask in his popularity. Not people he adopted, just people who want to be him, want to be like him. King Steve. He has natural charisma. He's a presence that stands out.

He's a tank of a human being. He takes hit after hit after hit that should definitely take a person out but he just keeps coming back.

He's a caretaker in bed, protective, and comforting, mf held Nancy's hand good lord, yet he's still in charge, he's on top.

His pack adopted him, yet they still look to him as the protector, he wasnt adopted like a beta without a pack, he is an alpha, they didnt have an alpha, he's now their alpha.

He makes sure he looks good, his hair is always on point, his skin looks good, his body is always in good shape (soft but the type of softeness hiding those muscles that make you bite your own fist), he's trying to impress people, omega's dont need to impress, they need to be the ones impressed.

He doesnt seem to need a lot of material possessions, doesnt have enough clutter or personal belongings to make a nest, and he doesnt seem to put much thought into keeping other peoples belongings either.

Like i know we like to HC that the vest is in Steve's closet, but if it was left upto Steve, it's absolutely been left either in that RV, or in a random corner in The Warzone. One of the kids might have grabbed it after he left it, but if Steve was on his own? It's gone.

Hi! I'm new around here (but not new to jikook) and I saw your recent posts where you linked to, among other things, a post where you talked about the 2016 jinmin vlive where they were watching jk on celebrity romance. And I just wanted to say thank you for bringing that up! I think that vlive is wildly underrated. It tells us so much about jikook's relationship at the time. It really showcases how jikook weren't at same place emotionally in the beginning (and how insecure that made jimin) and how their relationship was possibly mostly physical back then. Fuck it, I know most of you dont give a shit about Sofia the First but this show has been a sheer delight for me so y'all gonna sit down, shut up and appreciate some good music. The music in this show is much like the music in Friendship is Magic. They both went way too hard than they needed to.

Here's the top 10 best songs in Sofia the First

10. King Cedric the Great

Villain songs are always fun and its even better when the villain singing it is about as dangerous as a rubber duck. Cedric is the true example of how to write a sympathetic villain. He's a hapless sorceror who's actually really good at magic but his anxiety combined with everyone (except Sofia and his niece Calista) viewing him as some kind of loser are the reason why he wants to take over the kingdom cos he thinks that's the only way he can get respect. As this song illustrates how he wants Sofia's amulet so he can use its powers, but as the episode goes on, he finds out he doesnt really have it in him to be truly evil for reasons I won't go into, cos the episode this song's from is SO good. Its called Cedric's Apprentice if anyone wants to look it up.

As for the song itself, its a homage to classic Disney villain songs but Cedric's plan is so childishly over the top its hard to take him seriously, which is the song's intention. Its a great juxtaposition. Jess Harnell's singing is just the ham on top of these cheese sandwich.

He really has a knack for playing characters that are totally wacko

9. Wendell's Way

Speaking of sorcerors, here's another villain: a kid named Wendell. A spoilt brat who stole all the flying horses of Enchancia for his birthday. He's like if Horrid Henry went to that terf wizard school. The song itself has a very boisterious energy, amplified by the hard rock drums and the lute/guitar solo?? which makes it all the more satisfying when Sofia, Amber and James get the upper hand in the end and Wendell's mother comes out of nowhere to ground him, its fucking great. Its nice to see a bully character actually stay a bully and not get force-redeemed by the writers so they can pull the 'everyone deserves a second chance' message , when in actuality, no, some people really are that mean and you're not obligated to give a shit about a bully. Wendell is, in retrospect, a breath of fresh air as the song doesnt pull some sad backstory out of the aether to make you feel sorry for this kid. No, he's just that selfish.

Also the lyric: 'That is a promise, but also a threat' is fucking great.

Its a simple song but a bop nonetheless.

8. Make Some Noise

Sometimes a song is good when its just plain fun. And this song definitely applies. In the episode this is from, Sofia befriends a bunch of trolls living under the castle that everyone warns her are dangerous and violent and here... theyre actually super chill. The fact that Sofia instantly gets into the groove is delightful and again showcases how compassionate she is.

The song itself has a fun, jazzy melody with the trolls using thier equivalents of piano, trumpets and of course their clubs. It's such a feel good song, almost like the voice actors just got up from the chairs and just danced like they dont give a shit and the directors just hit record. It really feels like a song you would hear at a party. Even the repeated animation doesnt bother me.

7. A Princess True

One of this show's biggest weakness is portraying people from different cultures cos its clear the show is made by mostly white people who have a limited understanding of non-white cultures and can easily fall into racist stereotypes without realising it. Its not by any means racist as the show features plenty of non white side characters (Khaled, Kashmir, Jun, Jin and Kari) that the main cast are on friendly terms with. But here, this song is relatively tame as this song is all about Sofia, a white girl, believing in Lani, a Hawaiian girl, as her actions throughout the episode are proof she's the real deal.

In the episode, Princess Leilani lost her family heirloom the Emerald Key into the sea after fighting an evil witch, where it gets washed up in Enchancia so Leilani goes to the castle to get the key back, cos its a key to help her parents find their way home from the sea. However, the witch Mamanu disguises herself as Leilani as well so she can trick the Enchancian royal family into giving her the Key. So Roland puts both Lanis to the test but the test involves the Lanis to act like THEIR cultural view of royalty. Sofia notices one of the Lanis aces it and the other competely fails at it and does something different instead. So Sofia thinks the latter is the real princess and this song is her showing her full support and belief that Lani is the true princess.

Its a very sweet song to a very meaty episode which is why I had to explain in full detail. Its not perfect but the song really encapsulates Sofia's and the show's earnestness towards non-white characters and I appreciate that. It helps the creator is Jewish and went on to make a show all about Latina culture and did actual research on it. So this song, and the episode itself is a good, albeit rocky start.

Even if they fucked it up with giving Lani powers in the next episode she appeared in, goddammnit why the magical native stereotype we were so close!!!!!

6. Me and My Mom

Creator Craig Gerber has stated many times that one of Sofia the First's core themes is teaching kids about blended families and how to adapt after getting new parents and step siblings in your life (since he was a child of divorce himself and had to adapt to having a new father and siblings). This song is about Sofia's struggles to adapt now that she has to share her mother with Amber and James. You really feel sorry for Sofia cos she's so used to having her mother being the only family she has and of course, is easily attached to her.

Its a very soft, heartfelt song that resonates with a lot of kids that are in Sofia's position. I bet they felt very seen by this episode.

5. Improvise

In the episode, Amber wants to join in Sofia's girl scout group but in typical Amber fashion, she brought nothing but dresses and jewellry to an outdoor trip and forgot to pack a tent. So Sofia and her friends teach her how to improvise via musical number. A cute lesson about being resourceful and a great example of Amber becoming a more versatile character as she grows to love the outdoors.

There's a very jovial, motivational energy to the song that really makes it stand out from the usual pep-talk songs in this show. What else can I say? Its a highlight of Amber's character development and a fun little song to boot. Whats not to love?

4. Two By Two

Amber's relationship with her sister Sofia is always expanded upon in the show but her relationship with brother James is a lot less so since Amber and James sparsely interact beyond typical sibling teasing. So its nice this episode, and this song helps establish how much Amber actually cares about her twin brother.

In the episode, Amber accidentally turns James into a toddler thanks to a botched magic spell cos Amber didnt want to share her birthday but as her and Sofia run around trying to find baby James. Sofia suggests to Amber to sing the twin song that James and Amber used to sing all the time when they were little. (which is just adorable)

I love how Amber starts the song in a very deadpan, almost annoyed tone until the second verse hits and slowly her singing becomes more melancholy and emotional, like the fact that her twin being lost is just now hitting her. Especially since she spent the whole episode wishing to have a birthday to herself for once, not realising that she's taking away James' birthday and thus losing him too. That small bit of her looking at the pocket watch with her and James' portrait it, finally finding baby James behind the throne, picking him up and hugging him and them finishing the song together

STOP, MY FUCKING HEART CANT TAKE THE AMOUNT OF CUTE

Its so nice to see a sibling relationship that's actually wholesome.

3. Dare to Risk It All

One of Amber's biggest flaws is her envy and her getting over being an jealous bitch to her little sister is a lesson that Amber has always had to learn in the show's earlier seasons. And while she has made some development, this is the episode where Amber makes the most change. And this song is emblematic of that.

Dare To Risk It All has Rapunzel appear to teach Amber that you have to put other's needs before your own to earn forgiveness, to prove you can change, which is a lesson not a lot of kids shows teach nowadays cos most shows like Steven Universe and even MLP put the pressure on the victim to forgive their bullies or let them off easy (especially if they're family) but in this episode, Sofia is rightfully angry at Amber for stealing her amulet and isnt afraid to snap at her for it the whole episode so Amber throughout this song (and the episode) realising how much Sofia means to her and it puts the pressure on Amber to be a better person and a better sister.

Its one of the few good Disney Princess songs the show has. The Disney Princess aspect of the show is honestly its biggest crutch cos Sofia always has a good role model with her mother and her dad to some extent and the princesses havent exactly had the best trakc record for teaching good lessons to Sofia since they either state the obvious or gaslight her. So its nice to see the princesses teach someone else for a change. And its Rapunzel, the best Disney princess.

Also bonus points for having a good song about earning forgiveness whilst flying dragons.

2. Princess Things

Sofia wants to do flying horse-racing even though mostly boys at her school do that sport and both Amber and Sofia's rival Prince Hugo are discouraging her from trying out the sport. Its your typical girl empowerment message. While the pilot episode established the whole premise, this episode (Just One of the Princes) and this song establishes Sofia's character: a pro-active princess who doesnt fall for anyone's bullshit, which is perfect for a moral center protagonist.

I love how Sofia's expression throughout the song goes from confused to smiling like she's internally screaming. And her verses are basically 'screw you guys i do whatever the fuck i want.' So not only did everyone waste their time singing to convince Sofia but in fact made her even MORE CONVINCED to try out the flying horse derby. Good job, guys.

Aside from that, the song itself is a bop. The repeated chorus really emphasises the peer pressure Sofia is going through. Second episode of the series and they're already making a hit.

1. All You Need

In the episode, Sofia meets Vivian, a princess who's a great artist and musician but is painfully shy and thus everyone is spreading rumours around her. Even Sofia was a bit apprehensive but she pushes through it to meet Vivian at her house whilst they work on their school project and this delightful song just pops up.

I love how it starts with Vivian nervously playing her lute and Sofia starts singing, whilst helping her IN SONG start brainstorming their ideas for a dream castle. Then after Sofia's verse is done: ending with the lyric, Ill paint all the towers blue, now the rest is up to you, Vivian immediately jumps and enthusiastically suggest her own ideas. The music even matches the tone of the characters. When it starts, its only Vivian's lute and a backing track but as soon as the bridge comes, the music swells when Sofia's singing motivates Vivian and its just chef kiss.

This song, as well as the episode this was from, made me really like Vivian as a side character and I always loved her interactions with Sofia whenever she made an appearance. I like how she retained her newfound confidence into later seasons, where she becomes just as pro-active as Sofia.

This song, to me, is what Sofia the First is all about. A girl who's just the sunniest child, befriending the shy kid in her class and having the most adorable musical number. Are there songs with better lyrics and theming? Absolutely. But the sheer serotonin levels this song has, as well as encapsulating the main character's compassion for others, is why this is the best song of the show

earlier I was chatting with my friends when suddenly they walked by (they didn't see me) and I saw their new haircut in full view and holy shit. the way the golden sunshine hit them and god. I had a movie moment bro. I just like immediately shut up and looked at them in awe. like not to sound dramatic asf but I think my heart actually stopped for a second y'all. one of my friends whirled around to see what I was staring at but they didnt see my squish there (they also dont know im aroace and have squishes).

I just. god how could someone be so beautiful. and honestly they wouldn't even believe me if I told them they're literally gorgeous! but they are!! they're so very pretty :')

“Well if you reall ywant to help me with my research Lyle there are actually a few things we could do.” you say smiling down at your datapad, not really knowing what to expect the next few hours with him. “Actually we wouldnt even need to leave the grounds to conduct these. Some strength and dexterity tests would be in order as well as the usua-” you are abruptly interrupted by Lyle hitting you on the back and laughing out loud. “OH Y/N! We both know thats not why were out here. Now come on theres something i want to blow your little scientist brain with.” he says as he eagerly licks his sharp front theet.

Nothing about this makes your really excited. Neither the fact that youve been following Lyle for over twenty minutes through the jungle, that your shoulder still hurts from him hitting you and that he still refuses to tell you where you are going. Even your relieve about finally being gone from the dustfilled chambers of the compound seems to be blown away since you left both by Lyles rigorous speed but  also by the Pandoran Flora and Fauna for which you have to watch out every step your taking.

“I swear Lyle im not joking if you dont tell me where your going and how this has any effect on our scientific mission im stopping right here and now and let me get picked up by a helicarrier.” you shout at him having twigs and leaves stuck in your hair as well as sore muscles from trying to keep up with Lyles gigantic Avatar body.

“Oh dont be such a killjoy little scientist. I swear were almost there and you wouldnt wanna miss it. Even your favourit little Capitain comes here from time to time, its almost like our little secret.” he calls back at you, not even bothering to turn around, “ and if your really to tired to walk i can always just throw you over my shoulder again. Its what does savage Navi do with their woman anyway isnt it?”. 

As he laughs more then once about his own jokes, you give up trying to convince him. It was no use anyway threatening him and he probably even knew that no helicarrier would come out here just for you. 

Since Lyle clearly seemed to be eager on reaching his destination you start to wonder what that mysterious place might be. And sooner or later your thoughts drift of to Quaritch again and the fact that even he keot that place a secret. You almost feel something like jealousy again, about their sense of teamspirit in the phoenix project. They certainly seemed to be connected not just through their missions and training together.

You even catch yourself for a second thinking about life with them, as another Navi soldier fighting at the frontiers of PAndora when Lyles voice pulls you out of your daydreams.

“Well isnt that something worth your sweat!” he proudly exclaimed as you both enter through a small tunnel of purple leaves, what seems to be a big clearing with a big burned down tree in the middle. 

“Lopez and Prager discovered it on one of their little trips. You know you always tell us to get a bit more familiar with the local culture and i guess thats what we did.” Lyle grins at you.

Upon hearing these words you look back at him confused but once you get closer to the tree you realize that there once were Navi huts and building all around and inside it. Now taken back by the nature, overgrown and destroyed but still clearly visible with colourfull paintings and beads and even more of their culture hidden behind dirt.

“That wasnt you was it…?” you say as you stumble a few steps back realizing that you just discovered what seemes to eb the remainins of a small navi village.

“Oh sadly not no. No, as i said Lopez and Prager discovered it, already deserted by those tree people. We just set up a little outside base you know. Our basis on enemy grounds as you will. But thats not even the best, come on.” Lyle says proudly.

He almost has to pull you away from the tunnel, with you still being in somewhat of a shock. This was your first time seeing one of their villages for yourself, deserted or not. There was this strange eary atmosphere around the whole tree, you didnt notice it at first but now that Lyle dragged you along with him, around the gigantic treestump, you finally started to notice.

Rarely any birds could be heard across the camp and even the colourfull and almost always glowing Fauna of the jungle seemed to be dampened and grey.

Like it could be feel the life being erradicated in the village not sign of Life could be heard the further you followed Lyle.

Caleb said "our gifts are so rare, so special" as if not every ghost can do it, plus when Willie looked surprised after Alex said he could become visible playing with Julie.

However, my vision on Caleb is that he is a liar manipulative predator. so obviously he'd try to make the boys feel special and unique before trapping them into a spell.

So i think ghosts can have tons of abilities that all they need is time and practice to control, like when Alex learned how to hold things properly. So here is a list of things i think ghosts can do in the jatp universe:

Transportation: ofc. we've seen it. they poof in. They poof out. No biggie. Except how far it goes? How many ghosts can they transport? Can they transport lifers? it's probably the easiest ghost skills to have.

Objects Summoning: sure they can summon their instruments bc is attached to their souls but i doubt they can't learn to summom any object they put their mind to, if they can play it, they can conjure it. Could be learned through concentration, bc it might sound easy like poofing from place to place, but it'd involve traveling actual material objects through space, and since touching and holding stuff is also something u need to put your mind to it, certainly it also needs concentration.

Energy Control: Willie can flick the cop's vehicle lights. and flicking lights has always been a ghost thing. They could definitely learn that skill for special stage effects, watch the tv w/o touching the remote, pass messages, freak someone out, create a distraction, infinite possibilities. I also think they could absorb that energy within themselves and release it somewhere else.* It could be learned through concentrating and finding the right timing (i think Alex would master it.)

* if ghosts are made of energy and air there's no way they can't interact with other kinds of energy. magic and science are just like batman and bruce wayne.

Levitating: Caleb can levitate, other ghosts might as well. i think they could achieve by meditating and learning to clear their mind. (Reggie would kill it y'all) they could also lift other objects without actual touch them. imagine their final battle with Caleb and just as they are going to lose, Caleb falls on his face bc someone (reggie) tried to catch a heavy object and it accidentally hit Caleb's head?

Becoming Visible/Tangible: They can do it, we've seen it. ofc it was a magic move after a power of friendship moment, But, i believe they could figure out how to control who can see/touch them and who can't, my guess is that they'd have to visualize and wish to be perceived by someone. same goes for being heard or not. (Luke can work this one easy bc he has a need to be perceived) and since Caleb can make a whole bunch of ghosts appear and disappear, im sure Alex could make Willie visible for Julie.

Possession: im gonna guess this is some unethical shit bc u can actually damage someone's soul by trying to hijack their body. but im sure they could impersonate someone and absorb their energy, so u can control them better. Caleb is putting it off tho.

Energy Sharing: this one is very oc if im being honest. but imagine a ghost having such positive or negative energy from feelings he suppressed or expressed vividly before they died, so they could project that energy in a way that could affect people and ghosts around them? It might not be the best power bc its kinda nonconsenting, but it can also be hard to acknowledge they have a power like that.

That's mostly it. I dont think Willie knows all of the ghosts skills, i guess Caleb just lied to him as he did to the others, but he can groq out of it and learn. Sure some of these requires some focus and that might be hard for Alex, but learning skills can go different for everyone. sure one is gotta get it easier than others but these boys are musicians, they're used to combining their different skills together.

y'all i watched lighter & princess in 4 days like !!!!! that show was ?? actually a 10 out of 10 for me, like i actually watched the bts and some of the actor's interviews because this show had me THAT BAD. idk what it was about lighter and princess fr, but everything about it hit my buttons. the female lead was inspiring and reminded me so much of myself (while she was abroad) before i got deeper into my faith and just seeing her rebel against her parents to go after what she wants was so !!!! i loved seeing her grow throughout everything and all the parallels and just how they loved each other like,,,,, pls dont touch me. and don't evne get me started on the male lead. yall. he simply had me captivated every scene, tho every time he got on a stage i lowkey had heart palpitations ngl. i had to skip one scene cause i alr knew it was gonna go bad lol, fast forwarded and him and his ex-bestfriend was having a whole talk in the bathroom and yeah. i skipped that scene for a reason. but every single character in this show was so well written like,,,, im ngl. i just. this was simply just a really good show and i really want to find something like this, but i cant. i love watching good dramas like this but i also dont because then i cant find any like it. the same thing happened to me w/ gogo squid, better days, my gf is an alien, and other dramas/movies. i'm have glad i didn;t know this show existed until this month because if i had to watch this while it was coming out, i wouldve exploded. like, the only con i had for the entire show - other than the view on ex-cons which was understandable from the female lead's perspective but slightly irritated me nontheless - was how the kiss scenes always looked like they were literally eating each other. i was going to look away regardless LOL but like. it was .1 away from cannabilism.

anyways. if anybody has any recs PLS let me know. i have a watch list up and i do need to add My Sweet Mobster to it, but i really want a romance thats giving lighter and princess vibes. idk. ig i just like deeply in love ml with rougher edges and smart fl who love their mans and still have it going on.

Ahsoka stared at the wall across from her, studying every scratch and inch of it. She’d been doing that for what felt like hours, waiting on Rex’s return as the emotionless numb infesting her grew with every passing second.

Some things we can’t stop, she thought, the image of Jesse ready to shoot them appearing in her head. She flinched, thinking of his laugh and warm presence, and then the lifeless look in his eyes when they’d discovered his body.

The door opened and she turned to it half-heartedly, watching Rex shuffle inside and close it behind him, pulling his hood off. The bags under his eyes reflected her own as he sat down next to her, draping an arm over her shoulders wordlessly.

“It’s not your fault, Vod’ika,” he whispered and she sniffled, feeling her heart ache. Ahsoka desperately tried to cling onto any maturity her body contained, but all of a sudden, she felt like a child. Like her fourteen-year-old self, seeing her first friend die. A clone who’d cheered her up after Teth, had died in the next battle.

“Maybe it is,” she murmured, tears filling up her eyes and collecting in her lashes like raindrops. One fell to roll down her cheek and she brushed it away. Rex’s face softened in despair, pulling her into him for a hug. That was all it took for her to crack. Ahsoka let out a cry as she sobbed, burying her face in the crook of his neck as Rex soothingly stroked her lekku.

“There was nothing you could do.” Rex closed his eyes as his own tears fell from his golden eyes. Holding his sister close to him, he whispered comfort to her in words of velvet. “Nothing.”

Ahsoka weeped as the pain of the Order hit her again. “He’s dead, because of me. They all died, because of me.” She remembered the shattering feeling of Anakin's cries, the cries that made her instinctively turn to Rex. She’d barely had any time to think about it at that moment when she was fired upon, but now, it was all she thought about.

“Nothing” Rex repeated, tightening his grip on her as though he feared she might disappear. Ahsoka was the only thing Rex had, and Rex was the only thing Ahsoka had. But due to their situation, they had to split up. “One more week.”

Ahsoka nodded, scrambling to stand. Rex looked in heartbreak at her crestfallen face.

Oh, she was still just a kid. 

So was he. 

“I don’t want to separate,” she told him gently. Ahsoka thought of the time she and Barriss had been on the transport when the mind controlling worms had taken over. They’d separated, and their situation had only worsened.

Rex stood, wrapping his arms around her again. They stood and hugged in mostly silence, sniffles here in there as their sorrow encased them. But at least they weren’t alone.

“We have to,” Rex whispered his response, rocking them back and forth slightly. “For both of our safeties.”

“I don’t want to leave you,” she croaked out and he smiled sympathetically at his younger sister.

“It’s for my safety,” he replied, knowing that the only way to convince her was to remind her that he was keeping him safe. Ahsoka cared about Rex above herself, and he hated it, but it was true. It was a bit hypocritical of him - honestly - as he cared about her over himself. They were brother and sister, best friends, and it showed. “Just as I’m doing for you.”

“One more week?” Ahsoka pleaded, he nodded, even though he’d already agreed.

“One more week.”

these are all ones that have been big in my rotation lately.

1. favorite song off the new idkhow album. very excited to see them in concert this week. i must admit that dallon's voice in this song gets me a bit hot under the collar.

2. wallsocket is one of my favorite albums of last year- hell, one of my favorite concept albums ever- and it's very hard to pick a favorite bc every song is so unique, but i've been listening to this one the most in the past few weeks.

3. this, of course, is my favorite album of last year. francesca is my favorite song from it (and my favorite hozier song in general) but this one has been really hitting the spot lately.

4. hahahaha falling in love?? who's falling in love??? not me haha definitely not me 😳

5. this is my favorite boygenius song and it genuinely saved my life when the show first (as in january 9th) got cancelled. the news broke less than 10 minutes before i had to leave for work and i listened to this song like 20 times in my 2 hour shift bc it was the only thing helping.
